    Very good; the staff were very friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. It was quiet, so I slept very well. Good location, AC good, close to restaurants (Chinese, American), the train, the bus, etc. I would stay there again.

    our room right next to the train which was normal for me but might be jarring for other people to see construction men working on the tracks directly outside . not too noisy however . next to the subway stop and lots of little stores . very cleanly , just wished there was a mini fridge.

    Excellent staff, especially the Manager Raul was very accommodating ! The only issue of our stay was that the shower was broken and it was either freezing cold or scalding hot, was unable to get a reasonable temperature to enjoy the shower.

    I was staying here by myself- (single white female). I stayed 3 nights. My room was very clean. It had an ironing board and iron that i didn’t need but no hairdryer. All the staff were extremely friendly and engaging. Raul was super helpful. I borrowed a hairdryer from the front desk and they let me keep it for my stay. (Ladies, bring your own hairdryer and conditioner. They have shampoo, soap and lotion in the bathroom. I really liked staying here and felt comfortable and safe. I enjoyed the coffee bar in the morning also. There is a corner store right next to the hotel that has just about anything you could need (Except for conditioner and wine 😁)! There is an excellent Italian restaurant right across the street. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again Raul.

    Loved our stay! Room was clean, staff was very nice and helpful (I believe Alexis and Zayde helped us and a couple others). If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the greatest hotel for you as the subway was literally right outside of our room on the 5th floor. While it did not wake us, I could see it being an issue being a light sleeper. Our AC worked great. If you love HOT showers, this is your place. Our shower was hot hot hot! Not sure what happened with the cold water not working, but we stayed 4 nights and it was hot the entire time. Our remote for the TV didn't work even after Alexis tried swapping out remotes and batteries for us. This was definitely a culture shock coming from where we live to this area as everything/everyone seems to wake up at night which we loved. Many restaurants in walkable distance stay open close to midnight or even as late as 4am. I never felt unsafe in the area, but there are definitely many people out late that are clearly high, so just be cautious. Daytime seemed pleasant in the area as well. We mainly would walk directly to the subway from the hotel each morning and be gone until close to or after midnight each day.

    Me and my boys stayed here during our trip to NYC. It was an extremely peaceful stay, the staff was so awesome, and the place was super clean. There’s a deli right on the corner if you need a late night snack and our only complaint was the showers are not private unless you turn the lights off in the bathroom. I recommend this hotel if you’re looking to stay out of the busy downtown area.

    Right when we arrived the staff took our bags in at the front desk and kindly held them for us. When we returned an hour later or so, the manager, Ruhul, got our family (2 rooms) checked in early at no extra cost and was so kind and accommodating. We were in a Brooklyn neighborhood. 2 blks from the J train which is very easy to navigate to all other connections to get around the city. Also, took a couple of Lyft rides. The rooms are nothing fancy but very clean and I cannot stress enough that there is staff (GREAT people) there 24 hours a day to help with anything and everything. There is a nice space in the lobby to sit and have breakfast and coffee. You can get ice from the bar if needed. A cute outdoor space in back. There is not a mini fridge, so do not plan on leftovers if you are eating out. You will need to bring toiletries (shampoo, etc). We had a clean room every day that we returned exhausted from tooling around the city and the air conditioning was PHENOMENAL. Again, the staff at this hotel is top notch including the manager, Ruhul. If you need a clean, safe place to put down your head at night in NYC I suggest you check this place out. No frills, but total chill. We will most likely stay here again. We ran into a repeat client and their situation was quite similar to ours. They also spoke of the hotel similarly to my review here. Thanks to Ruhul and staff for keeping us safe and sound for the week!

    My young adult children and I stayed at Hotel 1080 when attending my daughter’s college graduation. We were pleasantly greeted and promptly checked in by Lenore(?). He was so kind and had a welcoming warm smile. He was attentive and always inquired if we needed any thing. The hotel room was clean, spacious and quiet, especially for New York! It was a convenient location and short walk to subway, Dunkin Donuts and Robert’s (?) pizza place, which we highly recommend. I am forgetting the name of our very sweet housekeeping staff person on 8th floor…she was wonderful as well. We checked out promptly and met Raul, the manager, who also was kind, professional and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel! And the price was amazing!

    The hotel provides basic comfort and amenities. The staff were very friendly. We arrived earlier than 3 and there was zero accommodation to see if a room was ready - we were simply told "check in at 3" - so beware if you have an earlier flight - it was easy tho to find a vibrant spot to hang out until our room was ready. They did let us leave our larger bags there until check in. The rooms are basic beds and bathroom. No fridge and microwave in room - which we did not need for this trip. Ice machine is in the basement - which is inconvenient - so we purchased cold water from nearby delis/bodegas. The showers feature an odd two way mirror as one wall of the shower - if you're traveling with a partner, have fun with that! If you're traveling with family - it's awkward as heck. :/ The rooms have great temperature control - we like ours cold and they stayed cold - we really appreciated that. Would we come back? If walking into the lobby every night wasn't a blast of weed in our faces - we would. However we are just highly sensitive to the smell (no judgement here - causes us to have migraines), just the biggest turn unfortunately for us. Overall: Value is good, location and staff are great, rooms are basic.

    The room was clean; all the staff was kind and useful, the ac was working, my belongings were safe, and I felt safe in my room. However, the hotel is located in an area that is run-down, with litter on the street, garbage piled on the corner, walls nearby with graffiti, and outside noise from the subway. Although, being close to the subway was essential for me, and close to where I needed to be.

    this hotel has bar with partying going on at night… electronic music so loud that the walls shake with the boosted bass. it goes on from about 8PM to past 2AM. If you’re into that then this place is for you… forget about sleeping. even with noise cancelling earpods it was loud.

    I had a reaction to something that was either used to clean or maybe in the laundry? But, I had a hard time breathing and became sick to my stomach while in the hotel. Fortunately, there’s a little “smokers patio” where I could go outside and breathe a little better. We ended up switching hotels and I no longer had a problem, breathing. I used to think Bushwick was ok but, it’s changed. Not a place I would include while making vacation plans. I was there for one reason which was to help pack up my daughter’s apartment so, she can move back to Los Angeles, now that she’s graduated. You’ll be fine there, just be realistic with your expectations !! It’s a short train or Uber over the bridge and into Manhattan. But, while you’re in Brooklyn, I recommend going to Williamsburg and Dumbo and on weekends under the Williamsburg Bridge there’s a great flea market.

    The manager Ruhu (forgive me I don’t remember how to spell it) was excellent. Easy check in and was very informative. There were a few people that weren’t so professional. Me and my partner wanted to use the 2 free drinks voucher but when we asked all they said was “we are closed” which I was confused because the manager told me the bar closes @2am. I assumed it was due to a party but the hours they closed seemed to be very odd. So I told the man at the front desk. (He has curly hair) But it was very clear he was high or on something. Even though he finally used actual words to communicate instead of shrugging his shoulders. He did go to ask the workers at the bar and said they were supposed to close @11 but he didn’t know what was going on. So unfortunately we weren’t able to use our voucher. Besides that the only other complaint I have is that the flood I was on (8th) smelled like a men’s sour locker room. I’m thankful it stayed out the room instead of seeping in. I would stay again only for the max 2 day stay. Nothing more

    10/10 stay if you’re into the Brooklyn neighborhood scene. If you are expecting a lavish stay, this is not the place for you, however if you are looking to take public transportation or walk, this is a place for you, with grocery, corner stores, restaurants, entertainment, dispensaries, you name it, on the same block as Hotel 1080. Smoke-friendly designated spaces. Laron, was so helpful as well as the manager. Complimentary morning tea and coffee! Genuinely gave the real New York feel.

    This hotel is in an area that’s gonna give you the real New York , Brooklyn experience . This is not the upper east side , that being said we enjoyed our stay and walked around at night and felt ok about it . The hotel itself was clean and had good beds and soft pillows which I enjoyed , the rooms have no safe , the size of the room is decent , the staff was helpful. Loud at times especially on the weekends as there is a club bar downstairs that’s part of the hotel. You’ll smell pot at times , patrons are mixed between a few locals but mostly tourist types . I would say that u would stay here again, I thought the price was fair and about the only thing I really didn’t like was the subways take a while to get into Manhattan but on the other hand there were delis all around and a supermarket down the street by the name of food bazaar that’s now open 24 hours .

    The location is really fun if you like fun night life and central location to all of the best places in Brooklyn to go out (food, clubs, music).. all 4-10 minute walks to places we loved. The room was super cute, cheap, clean, had a smart tv (why would we ever use cable TV’s any more? lol) so it was great to just log into youtube/ netflix and feel at home. Shower was warm and clean, bed was very comfy. Manager Rahul, and other team members were exceptionally kind and helpful during our stay. I work remotely and needed a place to go during the day.. The lounge / bar area was perfect, and even a back patio to step out and have a smoke if you need. Anyways, i rarely write these but yea.. well worth the money if you are a creature of the night but also require all the coziness needed and a good place to sleep and rest up. Cheers Hotel 1080

    Wish we had known that one wall of the shower was a window into the room. It was frosted up to my waist, which would be fine for a man, but very awkward for a female sharing a room with 2 sons. Other than that, the room was very clean and the staff were friendly. The neighborhood was pretty sketchy after dark. So walking 5 minutes from the subway at night was a little concerning.

    Nice small rooms, especially for the price. Theres a nice convienve area to get water, ice, ect. The room wasnt perfect, but it was clean. The towels and bedding all seemed fresh. Nice big tv. Plus the staff was very nice and accomidating. Theres a bar attactched so you can definitely hear the music and people outside. But if it doesnt bother you then the noise isnt really that severe.

    I stay here a lot for work and for pleasure. The staff is incredible. The rooms are clean and just what I need. They have a private smoking area out back, a bar attached, plenty of great food and things to do nearby. Short walking distance from the J and the M. It’s the only place I stay when I’m in Bushwick or Bed-Stuy.

    No complaints. The hotel is worth what you pay, nice location, close to food spots clothing stores beauty supply etc. It’s in the hood though so if that’s not your cup of tea keep looking. I enjoyed my stay though. Budget friendly, convenient get around and they have a club in the lobby but the bouncer lady take her job too seriously.

    I was having a difficult trip, but the staff at 1080 we so very courteous and helpful. I can't say enough good about all of the people I encountered. Particularly Ruhul, Raj, and Brianna, and also a you man who was working Saturday early evening who offered to help my son and me when we were dealing with a difficult situation on the phone as we were in the lobby. I felt safe and like I was among friends. Will definitely be back.

    This is a very nice hotel conveniently located in the border of Bed Stuy and Bushwick. Steps away from Kosciuszko St subway station with many restaurants nearby such as Mao Mao, Buntopia, and BK Bagels. Rahul the hotel manager went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and unforgettable. He even upgraded our room to a handicapped room so the room was bigger. He also gave us tickets for 2 free drinks at the bar downstairs. The bed was so comfortable and pillows were so fluffy. The room was clean and spotless with a big painting of the Brooklyn Bridge from the early 1900’s. This hotel is a steal!

    The neighborhood isn’t fancy or pretty, especially with snow, but once inside the hotel you don’t really notice the area. The room is small, but it was very practical for a weekend trip. There’s no full breakfast, but they offer free coffee in the mornings. In the basement there’s a water station, microwave, and small dining area to heat food. The room doesn’t have a fridge, but ice is always available. There’s no closet, but plenty of hooks for clothes. The bathroom is spacious and very clean, with fresh-smelling white towels and sheets, shampoo, body wash, body lotion dispensers, and a hairdryer. The room also includes a smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and many outlets. About noise: you can hear the bar until around 2 am and the train in front of the hotel, but it didn’t bother me at all. I stayed on the second floor; friends on the sixth floor said it was much quieter. The service was excellent, especially manager Ruhul and Lerron at the front desk, who were always friendly and helpful. You can store luggage before check-in and after check-out. Upon arrival, they give 2 free drink tickets for the bar. There are also many food options nearby, including a 24/7 grocery store next door with fresh made-to-order food.     Ruhul Chowdhury and his whole team at Hotel 1080 were very attentive, kind and courteous. I would stay here again. The room was clean and sufficient in size (It is NYC so don't expect a HUGE room but it's good.) The hotel is in a great location with a lot of great restaurants nearby. Definitely will come back.     This is my 2nd time staying at hotel 1080 and it just gets better. Fatima, Andre and Ruhul couldn’t be any sweeter. I requested the same room type as before and it was magnificent. Soft, comfy bed, great water pressure, a shower that just feels amazing! This time I came down to the lounge for a lil karaoke Wednesday. I didn’t sing but, I had a few drinks, listened to some R&B and went back to my room. Clean, spacious, perfectly located near everything… you won’t be disappointed!

    Brennan at the front desk was super helpful and insight and curious for check out and Rahual I believe was the manager was super helpful with checkout, we had 2 drink tickets we didn’t use at the bar the night before and he thankfully let us grab a soda and apple juice in the morning instead, definitely recommend

    The staff was very nice and friendly! The manager Ruhul was very helpful. The only bad thing about my stay was the shower. I was in an accessible room on the 8th floor and I found the shower floor very slippery. One of the floor tiles in the shower was also loose. Not sure how the showers look in other rooms but I would be cautious about slipping if in this room style. Otherwise, the stay was great! Good, clean room and about 5minutes from the closest subway stop.

    This was a 10/10 stay, you get what you pay for and it was a safe and comfortable environment. The staff was friendly and the Manager went above and beyond making us feel welcomed. He showed us around and was readily available for any questions we had. The subway is a 2 min walk and there is a store conveniently on the corner of the hotel. We definitely will be back when we visit New York again. Once again thank you to the Manager who was overly welcoming.

    -Utilization of space. There were no bedside tables (night stands), placement of bed was a bit off but understandable for a wheelchair accessible room. Staff -Raj (Manager) was amazing! He took his time to explain the ins and outs of the property, as well as showed me the smokers area. Everyone else was great in their respective areas. Amenities -What amenities? The television could not mirror / stream / cast anything from any device. Was not preprogrammed with Netflix or any streaming service. Also, it looks as if it needed to be replaced. The smokers section was top notch! All in all, 3.5 out of 5 stars!

    This hotel is in poor condition, doesn’t even really seem like a hotel when you enter the lobby, and did not provide any amenities (soap, hairdryer, blanket). The hotel was very loud in the middle of the night. Arriving late in the day the front desk person was at a party and we had to wait and look for help. The day person was not very knowledgeable about parking and said “you have to read the signs”. All in all, I travel often and this was one of the worst stays. I would never return and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    The neighborhood was dangerous. Nothing near the hotel. I wouldn't recommend it. The roon was clean, the bathroom as well. But it was very hot even during s snow storm, there was a heat system that we couldn't turned it off, sobwe had to switch the AC on in the middle of winter during a snow storm.

    This hotel’s got cute, clean updated rooms and bathrooms, big windows, spacious lounge downstairs, nearby subway, and really friendly, accommodating staff (Braidwyn, Levan and all the ladies in housekeeping and services, shout out to you! Thanks for making our trip :) (Important to know: this is not the “Hotel RL,” as it sometimes appears in searches.) Any requests, even room changes, were honored quickly and with understanding and kindness. Many other guests seemed to hail from all over the world which gave it a fun, almost European feel. Be sure to go up to the 7th floor, walk along the wall of windows, then look left to check out the spectacular NYC skyline. Santa Panza Italian restaurant, right across the street, has great food with a Bohemian vibe. It’s throwback to days in the Village, and a treat.

    I recently stayed at Hotel 1080, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience at a great price. Staff: The staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. They were always available to assist with any requests we had, making us feel truly welcome. Location: The hotel is conveniently located close to the subway, which made exploring the city a breeze. Dining: We also enjoyed the deli next door, which offered delicious food and was perfect for a quick bite.     Clean room, sheets were torn a little bit. The bed was mediocre. The see through shower was definitely unexpected since I was sharing the room with my daughter. We opted to not use the shower even though we both needed one. The did give you two drink tickets to use at the bar, which was awesome, they didn’t stay open late but still fun. Great location right by the mta. Great bagels right by there and some AMAZING pizza!

    The property is beautiful. The staff is very pleasant and everything is spotless. I loved the room. Instead of closets and drawers, there is a shelf for clothes that is the entire length of the room with hooks arranged artfully underneath the shelf. Brilliant! The property is very near to a subway stop. I wasn’t excited about the neighborhood at first, but it turned out to be colorful and full of character.

    The entire hotel smells like weed. We got to the room and it was a wreck- the bed was unmade, there was garbage and PILLS on the floor, all garbage bins were full, and there were dirty towels in the bathroom. I don't even think the toilet was flushed... It was disgusting. They gave us a new room and it was also gross. The bed was made and garbages were empty, which is the bare minimum, but the floor was DIRTY. Covered in crumbs and actual dirt and god knows what. I felt so gross staying there.

    Every thing that could go well went better than expected, they even give everyone 2 free drinks (alcohol or otherwise) at the bar connected to the lobby. My only regret is forgetting to use my second drink coupon. The service was phenomenal. One of my bags had to be delivered from the airport, it was brought to my room upon arrival. No complaints whatsoever. I even had a special request upon booking my room, it was not only met but it wasn’t made out to be an inconvenience either. The location seemed questionable with the train and traffic being so close to the hotel but it was honestly a quiet stay by NYC standards. I’d definitely stay here again. The team who works here is clearly one extended family, they all flow seamlessly and appear to vibe well together. If I lived there I’d want to work on their team!

    The room was in great condition, love the modern feel. I booked it for my birthday weekend but where I had issues is when the entire floor lost power. Front-desk staff was not very helpful or forthcoming with info in the moment (I actually thought it was just my room & only learnt it was the whole floor the next morning), I had to go down to them after not receiving a promised call back with an update. Was disappointed that they had no other room to place me & even more disappointed that they told me to open the window for fresh air knowing very well that the windows were sealed shut. I would’ve appreciated honesty. I had friends stay over with me because we left the room door ajar all night to try to get some air in. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the maintenance crew the next day were very helpful & understanding & apart from the power outage, the rooms did live up to my expectations. Also don’t like that a refund for that night was not suggested to me upfront which is crazy. Would I give it another chance? Yes. Beds were comfy & room was modern. Staff just needs to work on communicating better. The reviews about the noise from the bar downstairs are true, so if you’re there to get some rest or to just unwind, this may not be the place for you. This did not bother me much.

On the Saturday night, the was loud music until after 4:30 am and despite calling to the front desk, it continued. Some of the staff were indifferent best.

    The room was extremely loud… our bed was right underneath what seemed to be like the venting system for the whole hotel. We could hear metal rattling in the bathroom all night. Our room, (which we did not notice when we checked in) had some sort of plastic bag taped to the smoke alarm in the ceiling… and at about 1:30 AM the fire alarm for some reason was set off.. either in our room or the floor itself. Firemen came in minutes to figure out what happened . The bed was outfitted with a very thin blanket in this NYC winter (24 * degrees that night). Really strange experience. Felt more like a motel than a hotel. The room did not have a closet to hang clothing nor a coffee pot. The room had the feel of my kids college dorm.

    It was very noisy *inside* the building due to other loud hotel visitors and thin walls and ceilings. Other hotel visitors played music very loudly, talked loudly and yelled in the hallways late at night, slammed doors, and there was even a dog barking inside one of the rooms late at night. The lobby also smelled like marijuana. As a former resident of the city, I expected outside of the hotel to be noisy due to typical New York City life. Not a problem for me. However, I was disappointed and surprised at how noisy other travelers were *inside* the hotel. I have stayed in other hotels in the city, and this was the first time noise inside was a major issue. I found this very disrespectful, and it was not addressed by the hotel staff. Fortunately, the room was clean and in good condition. But, I would not recommend staying here nor would I stay here again.

    Hotel 1080 is a great gem for local night life. They have a lounge bar on the first floor and the atmosphere was really nice. It can be a tad nosy during the late night hours but you can tone it out easily. The room was nice and clean. I have no complaints overall. 10/10, I will definitely book again!

    I had a great experience at this hotel and would stay again. Because of where my room was, it was a little noisy which disturbed my sleep a bit. This was due to being located in close vicinity to the bar downstairs and a stairwell door which closed very loudly each time it closed. I would stay again but recommend a different room.

    I can’t say enough nice things about this gem of a hotel. The staff are so friendly (for example I misplaced my phone charger and a bellman offered to let me borrow his). The rooms are spotless. The water pressure is fantastic and I love the showers. You get two drink tickets when you check in and they have complimentary coffee in the morning. Checkout is an hour later than most hotels (noon) and the location is great. I love the neighborhood. Bushwick is not fancy but feels alive. The hotel has strong wifi and lots of power outlets in the room. I will be back.

The restaurant on the premises does not serve food, even though it says online that it does. It's basically a bar. This place is fine for a night or two, but I would not stay for a full week.

    Was no remote for tv in the room and when asked for a remote was given one that didn’t work. No cleaning of the room on 2nd day but came at 5pm while the room was occupied to try and clean it. The sink in the bathroom did not drain well. Really appreciated the drink tickets. Very convenient location to the subways.

    The room was nice but it needs minor maintenance. The door to the bathroom had edges loose, there were some paint spots on the toilet which you don’t see in higher end hotels. We never could find the remote for the tv. We didn’t care that much for watching anything anyway or we would have requested a remote. Even with the shower door closed water was able to seep under and onto the rest of the bathroom floor. Make sure to put a towel down. We didn’t realize until we walked in we could see into the shower from the bedroom which kinda made things awkward between me (male), my husband and my female cousin staying together to save money. We made it work though and overall enjoyed the experience making light of the situation.

    My problem is with the hotel itself. Check-in time was at 3pm. We came from the airport in the morning and asked to store our luggage while we go and explore. We got back to the hotel at 4pm and was told our room was not ready and it would be a 20 minute wait. That was annoying because we purposely came back later so that our room would be ready. 20 minutes turned into 40 and I had to ask the staff what was the hold up? I was told it was still not ready. Finally, staff came to me and asked if I NEEDED a double room and if I wouldnt mind a queen/twin bed room for my son and I. I settled for the room since we were so tired from traveling and exploring for the day. The original room was on the 5th floor and now we are put in a room on the 2nd floor. Later that night, after going to bed, we hear a DJ turn music on for a party in the attached lounge/bar area. This party lasted until 2am. So not only were we moved from the 5th floor original hotel room, we were given a room ABOVE a club area! This was not communicated to us at all. The NEXT evening, there was no party below BUT there was chaos in the hallway on the 2nd floor, outside of our door with drunk customers. It was the worst 2 nights of sleep and sadly, my son's first time in NY.

    Rooms were clean air condition was phenomenal located close to the subway. Would’ve liked to see conditioner in the bathroom as well as a hairdryer we backpacked to New York picking this hotel as our option as it was budget friendly but I did not bring my own hair product or conditioner still survived . Two of the three nights were a little noisy in the bar, but nothing out of control. We would certainly rebook here if we returned.

    And there is no cleaning service. Once you check in, if you have a multi-night stay, what you start with is what you will finish with. No more towels, and no more clean floors. When I asked at the check-in counter, I got smiles and assurances, but no one to sweep the floor of the grit left by the prior renter. The hotel is convenient to the subway, but do yourself a favor and find a hotel that is at least a block off of Broadway.

    The hotel has very basic amenities if you want to call them that. Water and ice in the basement and a place to sit outside.     Staff is friendly and the property is cleaned. If you need parking, you can find spots around but sometimes it can be challenging. We stayed there that coincided with a festival. It was not a big problem but staying in the room “00” numbers rooms on each floor can be a challenge is you are a light sleeper because they are close to the elevator and the noise of happy people going back to their bedrooms till 5am won’t stop.

    Cons: There is a bar on the first floor that stays open late and plays loud music. I was given a room on the second floor and it sounded like I was IN the bar until about 2:00AM. After the first night I asked for a different room and was given one on the 6 floor. This room was much better. I couldn’t hear the bar anymore but could still hear every conversation and toilet flush in the rooms in either side. Fortunately my neighbors weren’t partying but I could see it being bothersome if they were. Also, just worth noting, the bathrooms of the two rooms I had (queen + twin beds, sleeping 3) isn’t in an entirely separate room. There’s an opaque glass wall that looks directly into the shower from the main room. Don’t share this room unless you’re very comfortable with your companion.

    The air conditioner didn’t work, bed was wobbly support under bed was broken, TV didn’t work properly. All channels were Staticky. You could barely watch the TV, water pressure was bad. There was a very high noise level didn’t know there was a club attached to the hotel, a lot of random people coming in and out making a lot of noise. Would not recommend staying here again.

    Area of brooklyn was okay, convenient to the train station and to get around. A fair amount of food. Alot of reviews complain about the train as its so close the noise is bad, but in reality you cannot hear it at all from your room, what is disappointing is tbe local sounds which has co stant music playing into the early hours.     Though the street the hotel is on is busy and noisy, the area around it is quite laid back and quiet. We never felt unsafe, even at night in the weekend when it was the busiest.     Property is in close proximity to the J & M subway lines, which is convenient, but can be loud during the night. The streets directly outside the hotel are dirty, but the neighborhood did not feel overally unsafe. Hotel staff was not the most friendly but helped when asked. We drove because we were moving our son into an apartment, but there was no guaranteed parking close, and no one was able to provide any clear suggestions.     The photos of the property were very misleading, particularly the photos of the exterior. We thought the hotel would be a lot nicer than it actually was and that the location was nicer. It is not. It is dirty and smelly. However, the staff are really nice and quite accommodating. On night 2 of our stay, there was an event at the hotel, so it was quite noisy and we could even hear it on the 3rd floor where we were staying. Though this hotel is not a bad choice if you are on a budget, if you're going to New York, I would suggest you stay closer to the city centre if you can.

    There were limited amenities (no mini fridge, no microwave, no hairdryer, also no conditioner if that matters to some.. no hairdryer either). The bed was creaky and the walls were paper thin, you could hear everything in the halls. Customer service was excellent though - the staff was kind and attentive to our needs. They kept up with the cleanliness of the room while we were out and also didn't ignore our DND sign. The area around the hotel always smelled of weed and didn't feel very safe walking at night. But the hotel itself is okay.

    Clean basic room with an urban style motif. Plenty of towels and linens. Cold A/C which is essential in summer. Great value for NY. Located right on the J train so very convenient to get anywhere in the city. My only complaint is that I would have liked to be able to open the window, but it probably needs to be locked for safety on upper floors. I’d definitely stay there again.

    There was a lot of construction and trash in the area. I don’t think it’s a great place to be around late at night. I was just dropping my daughter off at a camp, so we stayed only one night.     The room is small, but appeared clean. The area of town is not great, but convenient in getting to major train routes. We found a contact lens on our bed the first day (we do not wear contacts). We let the front desk know the following morning, and when we came back, the towels had been replaced, but nothing had been cleaned and the contact lens was still there. We followed up again, and the front desk person was more receptive and helpful and the room seemed to receive a more thorough cleaning. No coffee, mini fridge, blow dryer, or typical amenities at this hotel. Bodegas next door and across the street, the latter of which is a little better. It would have been fine if we had trusted that it was clean, but it was unclear how well the room was cleaned.

    Toiletries were not stocked during check in, no hairdryer, bathroom door didn't fully close or lock. They barged in one day around 9am to do maintenance in the bathroom without notice.

    very noisy! room is near the street and you can hear the party going on until 3 in the morning or the train passing by. Hotel is not sound proof so you can literally hear any noise from other nearby rooms or upstairs. really noisy!

    The hotel itself is super cute! The staff was friendly, and we had no issues during our stay. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel was a little off-putting at first, but after the first day, we were used to it. It's also very close to a subway station, so that's super convenient.

    I will say my only issue is the price on Expedia is like hiked up compared to whatever they said that they charge me so it’s kinda like a huge price difference and I didn’t get the room that I paid for on Expedia and they said that it was a Expedia thing and they couldn’t technically do anything about it because on their end it showed a different price for the room. So I’m hoping that once everything is settled it does adjust.

    Wonderful front desk staff . Very helpful and accommodating. Needed my tv fixed and Maintenance guy fixed it quickly. This hotel is good for a short stay. Room was nice also. No refrigerator in room , no telephone in room .

    Hotel was to be expected. Small rooms but comfortable bed. Shower was nice, bathroom was small. I will say the “mirror” that separates the bathroom from the bedroom is quite see through and if you sat on the bed, you can infact look into the shower. However the hotel was private and quiet. Rooms on the back half of the building were not disturbed by the sounds of the train nearby. Would book again

    The stay was ok. I found out that the hotel charged me the deposit money. I called to inform them and was told it would be resolved on Monday. Monday passed and nothing was done.

    Staff take a $100 deposit for the whole of your stay then on top of that however many days you stay the keep 15$ out of your $100 deposit. I stayed 4 Nights Tuesday till Saturday morning. 60$ was kept out of my $100. Very unprofessional and there was No mini fridge to keep drinks in. No Telephone to ring staff. So Bad.

    Hotel was in a good location for my stay. I was there to attend a graduation in Brooklyn and to see family while there. A good place to lay your head, bed and pillows gave good support, bathroom was clean. Elevated train outside of my window but was no bother. Had a club/bar downstair but music was not a bother and patrons of the club were not a bother either. If you have a car there is only street parking, which could be a problem finding after hours. All-in-all decent stay!

    Hotel 1080 was affordable and relatively easy to get to given my need to be in Brooklyn. The LIRR line was literally right outside of my 4th floor window, but that wasn’t the source of the noise: the club in the area was loud. But it’s Brooklyn. What do you expect? All in all it’s an affordable no frills mid-range place to stay with a friendly staff.

    The mirror doubles as a glass shower wall so very sexy for couples, not cute for platonic friends or those of us traveling with children. My husband only showered when my daughter was asleep. The bellhop was creepy and stared at my 5 year old too much and attempted to make conversation which I had to shut down letting him know she was clearly uncomfortable. The music when we arrived on fathers day evening was wildly loud. There is a lounge attached and the bass could be felt throughout the building. We were "lucky" to be on the fifth floor as my daughter and I discovered as we ventured to all the lower floors during our quest for ice as there was no mention of where the ice was located, no phone in the room to ask and no answer when I called the hotel from my cell. Anyone could just walk in, no one was checking. We were able to walk in off the street and get into the elevator. There is no parking and there a lot going on the area making it difficult to drive in the area or find parking. Good luck folks.

    Bring Earplugs. The walls are paper thin. On the first floor. The hotel has a bar/club. They play music so loud until 3 AM usually. You cannot hear the TV over the music. Every time people walked in the hallway, it was noisy. Upon arrival, I asked about the noise level, and the host at the front told me the rooms are soundproof. That was a complete and utter lie.

    The room was exactly as described online. It was neat and clean. Unfortunately, there were a few things that were less than ideal for my stay. The room was not conducive for work. There is no sofa, chair or table to comfortably use a laptop, the shower is somewhat see through from the hotel room. The wall that’s on the side of the hotel room is a mirror when the bathroom light is off. But when the light is on, you can see the silhouette of the person in the shower. There is no phone in the room so you can’t call the front desk or for an emergency. The person at the desk didn’t know why there was no phone in the hotel room. There is a $15 per day facility fee but there is no gym, pool, nice view, kitchen, bar, room service, bell stand or anything else that would constitute a “facility” fee. I’m already paying to stay there. That should be my fee. The hotel is walking distance to the train station in both directions. That was pretty convenient.

    Amazing staff! Good location for catching the subway but you can hear the subway throughout the night. If you’re a light sleeper I would advise on preparing for that. There is also an adjacent night club/bar. You can hear the music until around 2/3am, especially on the lower floors. The hotel was clean and good for us since we are decently heavy sleepers.
