Everything was awesome loved the wine hour Friday night with live singers

This hotel was very busy. The lobby was always full. Several of the elevators were broken and the room was very small.
- 5/5
Great location to the theater district and Times Square! Super helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, and great breakfast options! Definitely recommend this hotel!!!
- 5/5
Older style hotel in the heart of NYC Times Square just half a block from all the action. Amazingly quiet in the rooms. Walk west from the hotel and you quickly are in quieter neighborhoods and end up at the pier on the Hudson river. I loved the hotel and recommend it. One thing they should address are the electrical wall sockets. I stayed in two different rooms on different weeks of my NY trip and both rooms had loose sockets and sometimes sparked when I removed a plug. Not cool.

Good Hotel. Good Breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location, fantastic room and friendly staff
- 5/5
Staff were awesome!
- 5/5
I stayed here last year when I came specifically to see a show. The location is perfect for that. This year I brought my sister who has limited mobility and the staff could not have been more helpful. We had to take taxis everywhere , but last year it was so easy to take the subway anywhere I wanted to go. If you are staying in Times Square, this place is great. The staff was phenomenal!
- 3/5
This Hotel is close to all Broadway Shows. Would not recommend the lower level floors, the view is not good.
- 5/5
Happy Hr & entertainment in lobby & 2 restaurants!
- 5/5
Housekeeping was great & grab & go breakfast can’t be beat
- 4/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom is very small. No towel racks, small sink counter. Carpet needed vacuuming. When AC is on its extreme loud…too loud to keep on when trying to sleep therefore room got uncomfortably warm for me. Beds were comfortable. Location is great. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Hotel history and location were great. We walked to The Metropolitan Opera House, Carmine's Italian restaurant and Time Square. Restaurants in the Hotel and nearby were fun.
- 5/5
Very accommodating with our requests and needs.
- 5/5
Staff wonderful!!
- 5/5
Muy buena experiencia, volveria a quedarme en ese lugar/
- 5/5
Clean room and it was so close in times Square
- 5/5
Very good location right next to Time Square. Great hotel
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and welcoming with every interaction. Room was comfortable. Would stay here again when coming back.
- 5/5
Our 3 night stay was fantastic. Staff was friendly, helpful and cocktail hour was a bonus. I would say , only negative was the bathroom size, tiny. Anyone with mobility issues should request ADA room. I thought we did. Breakfast coupons were fantastic savings.
- 5/5
The girl that checked us in found out it was my father’s 82nd birthday and sent a bottle of wine and snacks to the room and provided us with an early check in. That made my Father’s Day. He’s still talking about it!! My father has been staying at the Edison for over 30 years. We feel at home at the Edison. We will always come back!
- 5/5
It’s a great location in nyc. The breakfast inclusion is a real plus.
- 4/5
This was one of the few reasonable properties in NY that offered the choice of two beds in the room. The entire property was very clean and housekeeping came in daily. Check-in was efficient. I noted on the reservation that we were celebrating my son's birthday and they brought up a few snacks and a bottle of wine, which was kind. We saw shows at three different theatres and they were all within walking distance. Our room was facing the street and could have been noisy, but we had earplugs and were fine.
- 3/5
Staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, especially the housekeepers, location is pretty good as well. The rooms are just soooo small, the bathroom is so uncomfortable to use. Sitting on the toilet I could wash my hands in the sink. The sink has zero counter space for your stuff to sit. It was just cramped. Hotel served us ok for the time we were there and the location of the proximity of other things we were doing.
- 5/5
Service was spectacular
- 4/5
- 5/5
One of the front desk staff (I think her name was Martina?) was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly and helpful - we really appreciated her support in getting us checked in with an upgrade. Overall, the venue is very central and close to everything (Times Square, Central Park, Rockefellar Centre). The rooms were clean, fairly sized and the pillows/beds were extremely comfortable. The one thing for improvement would be that the lobby bathroom experienced a lot of foot traffic and could have been cleaned more frequently. We would stay here again - thanks for the lovely trip!
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful, personable, and professional. Our room was a two queen bed and it was a pretty decent size for NY. The daily breakfast vouchers were an awesome perk, with lots of options within the hotel restaurants or at a nearby place with great pizza and sandwiches. The only slight problem was the noise, which we expected to have from being right in a busy area. Would recommend!
- 5/5
Our stay was great for two nights Great location with restaurants and time square. Price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again. Very nice place and staff was extremely helpful.
- 4/5
It looked great, immediate service and was very safe Small rooms with nothing in them really
- 5/5
I felt very safe. The staff was very professional and friendly. My intention was to be just blocks within the broadway shows.I was scheduled to see so that was perfect. And I really enjoyed the option of the grab and go breakfast and the six dollar breakfast. I also really enjoyed the old krooner music. That was playing every time I got on the elevator. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room and the room was also very dimly lit, and it was hard to see yourself in the full length mirror when getting dressed for the day or just to simply go through your suitcase to find your things. The only room that was well lit was the bathroom
- 5/5
Staff was friendly - security was excellent - decor was beautiful - breakfast delicious and convenient -

İ liked the location and the staff There were no slippers provided, for a supposedly 5 person room it was very small. I do not understand why the bathroom had a clear glass door even though i was with my family we found it a little disturbing.

Gio at the front door / valet area was awesome and super helpful!! He deserves a raise!
- 5/5
Fantastic location, great staff, and very nice hotel restaurant & bar. Room was clean and very comfortable beds. Will stay here again!
- 5/5
The hotel was very accommodating, and the amenities were great! The only downsides are a very small room and no access to the balcony.
- 4/5
Room . It was very comfortable and roomy for New York .
- 4/5
The location is excellent, close to everything, but you can hear street noise in the rooms. The grab-and-go breakfast only has three boring options. Also, the shower area doesn't have a door, and the bathroom floods every time it's used. You have to use the towels to dry the floor.
- 4/5
Location 10/10 Room 10/10 Bed 10/10 cleanliness 10/10 we had an upgrade for the room ( thank you ) aircondition 0/10 veryyyyyyy noisy had to turn it off all the time to be able to sleep, thank God the weather was not hot. Seems most of the rooms are like that!! We were on the fourth floor but it was so much noisy at night , yet it didnt bother us . Some of the staff ( reception ) mostly the ladies are really rude !!!!

Location was good. Good value for money. Rooms are clean Melissa the front desk staff was the worst. Extremely arguementatively and disrespectful about the check out. Usual time was 12pm. I was down at 12.20pm and made a mess out of it. Not to mention acting over smart Breakfast was avg. Name sake

My very favorite nyc hotel and I’ve stayed in a lot of them. Edison is *always* my number one choice. Fast elevators, clean rooms, perfect location, and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Location is priceless.
- 4/5
Have come back to the Edison many times. It’s quiet and generally well maintained with very friendly staff, especially housekeeping. I had two friends with me this time and both complained of inadequate reading lighting. Bedside lamps just not bright enough. Otherwise, a lovely stay and I will be back!
- 5/5
This place was beautiful and everyone was so friendly! We would stay again! Family friendly and very conveniently located!! We were on the 19th floor and had no trouble with noise at all.
- 4/5
Coming in from a red eye flight, Zenny offered to check us in early (at 9:30am!) for an additional fee. It was so worth it, but the only room available was directly in front of the elevators. When I asked for a different room, she was happy to change it but it wasn't ready so she called when it was. Great service and housekeeping and shower! Enjoyed the wine hour even though the music was a little loud. The grab and go breakfast at Crave was also really great! Water bottle filling station. Walls are thin so it's pretty loud. It's also 1 block away from Times square which is more of a curse than a blessing if you intend to sleep. There were trucks beeping all night long and I'm not exaggerating. Really tight bathroom, though it was kind of cool that you can be in the shower and reach under the sink for your towels and next to it for body lotion. Two people cannot get ready in the bathroom at the same time.
- 4/5
Pretty 1920’s building with nice rooms and small bathrooms
- 4/5
Don’t understand why the water from the sink was brown but over all the stay was good . Will come back .
- 2/5
While the location and luggage/security staff were great at the Edison, I was extremely disappointed in our room, and the service we had while there. The front desk staff are all rude, and not helpful whatsoever. We paid luxury prices for our room and it was legitimately a bed and a hallway. We could’ve had more space at a motel. Our AC broke the second day and we called the front desk 4 times, each time told they were sending someone. No one came the entire stay. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were terrible, it was hot and muggy, worse than outside because you cannot open windows. The bathrooms were nice and the support staff were very very nice. There was good security and all of the security was polite and helpful. Just warning that it is not worth the price you pay. There are cheaper hotels in the same location that do not ignore when you ask for help. Would warn against anyone traveling with more than 2 people, if we had more than that and especially children in our room, it would’ve been miserable.
- 4/5
Close to Time Square and subway. Gym could be better. Staff supportive.
- 4/5
Great Staff and room is clean.... Breakfast can be improved
- 5/5
Great location for exploring the city. Subway was close , the hotel was clean and nice.
- 5/5
Wonderful restaurants wonderful staff great ambience music and location. Bathroom could be bigger and the water hotter. Thanks
- 4/5
Problem with A.C. Unit. Had to report two times before fixed. Other than that issue the hotel is located for easy exploring/theater. Free grab and go for breakfast was great. Appreciated having to show key to security before being allowed on elevators.
- 5/5
Great location, staff and view from my room. The breakfast vouchers were a nice bonus when checking in. Highly recommend and will stay there again!
- 5/5
Room was NY-small, but adequate for me.
- 3/5
Great location! Close to everything very clean, only issue we had was that we were assigned to the wrong room and had to use a rollaway bed. Overall would stay again if that could be avoided!
- 5/5
Room was spacious and always clean, with room keeping stopping by once a day in the morning. The location is perfect for anyone going to New York for Broadway. I saw two shows and was a three minute walk away from each at this hotel. Also located steps away from Times Square!
- 5/5
Everything else though was nice and clean. Great location for Times Square. I did not enjoy having to tell the staff 3 times about the mess before it was cleaned up. Other than that everything else was absolutely great.
- 5/5
New favorite hotel in NYC. Polite, helpful staff. Quiet, clean, well appointed room. In the heart of the Theatre district.
- 5/5
Excellent location! And safe!!
- 5/5
Loved the location. Very friendly staff and rooms we cozy.
- 5/5
Always a pleasure to stay at the Edison Hotel. The staff is out standing, rooms clean and well maintained and the Bond45 restaurant is a favorite.
- 5/5
According to our reservation, we were supposed to have received a free bottle of wine with our Hotels.com membership. We did not receive a bottle of wine, nor were we told anything about it.
- 3/5
Overall nice place and good stay. Bed was comfortable and house keeping was super nice. Only complaint there was no shower door so water got everywhere and the entire bathroom yet
- 5/5
Beds were so comfortable. No street noise either. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Extremely convenient to Times Square. Beautiful building, staff extremely helpful. Valet parking, free walking tour provided each morning, easy to walk to everything. Bond 45 restaurant attached was amazing!! My husband was not looking forward to visiting New York, but this hotel helped him really enjoy the NYC experience!
- 5/5
Perfectly located, I always enjoy my stays there
- 5/5
Room was not as large as expected but very nice. Clean. Not noise proof. Bath room were a nice touch but too large for my grandson.
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location
- 5/5
Good place near times square. Has everything basic you might need. The grab and go breakfast is not too bad. Would happily be staying again (if I get it at the same price as this time).
- 5/5
I loved our stay at the hotel Edison. Beautiful hotel. Room was clean, nice large TV, ac, nice bathroom. Paid to have a fridge, $40. Regretted not getting a microwave for late night leftovers though. Vending machine on the second floor was excellent. Our first night there it was not working. I told staff and the next night I went down and it was working. I love the location. Love the little Bodega downstairs next to carve. I loved carve and I love getting to grab and go breakfast there. Overall 10 out of 10.
- 3/5
El baño pequeño, se mojaba todo el baño la ducha no tenía cortina.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, but had a night light in the bathroom that could not be truned off. The bathroom had a glass door, so the room was illuminated by the night light all night. The AC had trouble keeping the room cool when the temperature went over 90 F in the city. The Breakfast was very good. The location is excellent. It is very close to Time Square and is right in the heart of the theater district.
- 5/5
This is a nice old hotel that has been nicely renovated. The lobby is beautiful staff is helpful. The rooms are very nice. The bed was great. I slept very well. Well come back
- 5/5
We had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel was comfortable and met our expectations. The only downside was early morning noise, as our room faced the front of the building, which could be disruptive for light sleepers. Aside from that, everything else was fine and the stay was satisfactory.
- 4/5
Location, choice of 2 restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. Our room only had one bedside cabinet. Furniture needs updating. Large mirror but too dark for drying hair or make up. All had to be done in the bathroom.
- 3.5/5
Location ,security & Breakfast The housekeeper didn‘t give water for two days in a row.

Clean room
- 5/5
This was our second stay at Hotel Edison. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly. Housekeeping did a great job keeping our room clean and they quickly brought items to our room when requested. There are two restaurants connected to the hotel which we enjoyed greatly, especially for breakfast. Location of this hotel can’t be beat—next to Times Square, close to numerous subway lines, and walking distance to Hell’s Kitchen with its great restaurants. Our room was a bit small and the water pressure in the shower a bit low but other than that we found this to be an excellent stay.
- 5/5
Great location for going to Broadway shows! Just outside the doors
- 5/5
I highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, it is reasonably priced, and has all the necessary amenities.
- 5/5
The Edison is convenient to Times Square and theaters. Given all the hustle and bustle outside, it’s surprisingly quiet. Elevators were quick. Bed was a little lumpy but seems to be a minor inconvenience. Breakfast at Friedman’s for $6.50pp was a nice addition.
- 5/5
Our overall experience was absolutely brilliant and superb value. We loved the hotel, the staff were fantastic and friendly, the location was perfect and so easy to access/get to everywhere, the restaurant/breakfast choices were convenient and excellent value, room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and we loved the art deco decor. We were so happy with our stay and would without a doubt stay here again without question.
- 5/5
This is my second stay at Hotel Edison and it will be my hotel of choice any time I visit NYC. I was able to get an early check in and front desk staff were so accommodating. Travel delays caused a very tight schedule from check in to broadway production show time and they offered to have bags taken to the room so we could make our show.
- 5/5
Love the art deco theme. The location is perfect: so close to theatres and Times Square. Breakfast vouchers were great. We loved it all and would definitely recommend it to everyone.
- 4/5
Location It was good
- 4/5
Great hotel near Times Square stayed before very clean and great food One of the people behind the desk was rude and needs to get some Customer service training. Very unhelpful. Thankfully the remainder were great. Low flow is a no it’s too noisy, high is great
- 5/5
Location and History of the hotel.
- 5/5
Nice and location was great. N/A.
- 5/5
Angelique upgraded us to a newer room on the top floor and that really set the week off right. The room was clean and beautiful and we loved the layout. We felt very safe with all the security. Breakfast was easy and good. Housekeeping was excellent. The location was perfect for our needs. The bathroom door. We had our grandson with us and all three of us would’ve liked a little more privacy in the bathroom. It was embarrassing and we ended up having to sit in the bedroom with that door shut just to get some privacy. Awkward!
- 4/5
Clean, renovated rooms; comfortable bed. Nothing
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 2.5/5
Location The hotel charged my credit card $4930.33 without my authority which was more than double the cost of my 4 day stay. On admitting their error and promising to reverse the transaction nothing has been done 6 business days later. And don’t bother email the manager Scott Geres he doesn’t have the decency to reply to your email. Total fraud this hotel is. Total fraud. Very very disappointing. Plus blood stain on the bedsheets.
- 5/5
The whole experience is great
- 5/5
Muy bueno el hotel serca a todo los lugares de time squer. El desayuno muy bueno
- 3.5/5
Location was busy but great for main attractions , good breakfast options especially if you want sit down or grab and go. Recommend upgrade to terrace. Slightly dated interior and feel.
- 5/5
Location is perfect for vacationers. Aside from that, the surprise perks and top tier guest service and friendliness of the whole staff was so welcoming. Just the outdoor bellman was a smiling welcome everytime- something I didnt see at surrounding hotels that we almost stayed at in the same price range. The charm and look of the hotel made us feel very much in New York City. The only thing that could have made this place better was a rooftop pool and a bigger gym. But that’s me reaching.
- 4.5/5
Location. Hospitality. We requested for heater and they provided immediately. Staff was so helpful.
- 4/5
Proximity to everything Breakfast
- 4/5
Excellent location for a visit to NYC - TimesSquare! Staff were helpful and friendly, security was great! My only complaint was in our room there was not sufficient lighting nor mirrors for getting ready to go out.
- 4/5
Good location for all we needed. Friendly check in staff. Great grab and go breakfast - the kids loved the pancakes, the yogurt and granola was delicious and the breakfast baps went down a treat. Really friendly staff serving this. Only downside is having to pay to store bags upon checkout at $1 each cash only. Woulsnt be so much of an issue if you could use your card to pay for this as we had no cash.
- 5/5
We will 100% stay again
- 5/5
The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and full of classic New York charm. Our room was comfortable, well-maintained, and surprisingly quiet considering how central the location is. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with recommendations or questions. We also loved the atmosphere in the lobby and the dining options available in the hotel. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City!
- 4/5
Close to everything we Needed to see and get to It's busy but that's to be expected for the area
- 0.5/5
I was there for 7 nights after night 4 I had bites on my arms told management I have never been bite in my life anywhere I go. I was moved to another room for ladt 2 nights they where getting pest control out to see if it was bed bugs no one came to tell me outcome I had to ask when I was checking out was told room was fine however I have since found out bed bug bites can come out a few days later which I now bieve is what happen. My holiday has be ruined I arrived home today had to dump all my suitcases presents everything that was in the room incase bugs have travelled home with me. I now have to try and sort my things in order the bugs arnt here I have and still am so stressed full of anxiety and had a panic attack on bus home after plane journey I am making a formal complaint and a refund back if not I'm reporting it to who ever deals with this problem with Hotels in new York absolute nightmare like I say holiday ruined n dismissed like it no big deal They were gona give me copy of report but I thought because the manager said all was fine I took the word at face value fact is after goin online these reports arnt accurate terrible way to deal with people our bags and clothes should have been dry cleaned before we left the property
- 4/5
Clean Nothing really
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Problem adjusting the heat.
- 5/5
Our stay was great and the location is perfect. My only complaint is the $40 amenities fee and subsequent taxes. Why this is billed separately when it is not optional is annoying. Just include it in the price of the room and don’t hide it until check in.
- 5/5
Convenient clean safe. Great place to stay in the theatre district.
- 4/5
Everything was great, no issues or problems.
- 5/5
Great location with very close proximity to Times Square and many attractions. The hotel was also near excellent Italian restaurants and pizzerias, which made dining very convenient. The staff was exceptional during check-in and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Edison.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and will love staying here super clean and staff super nice..
- 5/5
Great location! Right near Time Square but was very quiet. The breakfast was good and convenient with different options and available until 3. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was small but big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. I would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
I really love this place. It's at the upper end of what I can pay for a hotel -- but it's beautiful, and there was music in the Rum House (on the same property) -- every night we were there -- and with no cover. There just could not be a more convenient location if you're there for Broadway. It's very safe, and the security staff making sure no one accesses the elevators who are not guests -- are very diligent. I hope to stay there again.
- 4/5
The hotel always is a good option, but at this time the front desk wasent polite at all. People working but not serving.
- 3/5
It was just okay. I don’t think my family and I will be coming back here.
- 5/5
Best location still very quiet. Courteous staff. Fast check in even if it was very busy
- 5/5
Room was clean and everyone was very helpful! Great stay!

- 4/5
Nice grab and go breakfast
- 5/5
Highly recommended!!
- 4/5
cost was high due to location but no surprises
- 4/5
The location was great. I didn’t find anything special about this hotel. The staff was not friendly. You had to pay to check your bags. The lobby area was very small with people just standing around. The room was clean and everything worked as it should.
- 4/5
Room was large and bed was comfortable. At times long lines for reception desk-a minus.
- 5/5
Overall, excellent experience. Thank you!
- 3/5
Very nice property but very noisy due to generator around the property so don’t expect great night for sleeping
- 5/5
I emailed ahead to request our rooms be on the same floor so I could help watch the grandchildren while their parents enjoyed the town. They were able to accommodate the request without hassle. So refreshing! Our rooms were cleaned with precision daily. The suites are BIG and worth it. The hairdryer is real (you don't have to keep holding the button) and the soaps/lotions are nice. The "take and go breakfast" is a nice touch and you can switch it up each day for something different. Also loved the wine hour. I don't often say this, because there are hundreds of hotels to choose from in NY, but we all agreed - we would absolutely stay at the Edison again. Don't love the crowds of Times Square, but the friendliness, cleanliness and atmosphere of the Edison Is worth the hassle of all those people :). Thank you Edison hotel for making your guests feel welcome.
- 3/5
Hotel was great, but very noisy. If you’re a lot sleep and do not stay here.
- 5/5
Very clean and breakfast vouchers for Crave excellent food
- 5/5
Location is awesome. Wine & cheese with entertainment on Friday evening was most appreciated. The daily breakfast coupons were great. Most important: my wife feels safe and at home at The Edison - she would be happy to move in there permanently!
- 5/5
Perfect location in Times Square
- 1/5
Although I selected pay at property so really really frustrated with procedure When we arrived half hour distance I messaged Expedia to confirm the booking the Expedia said there is no issue also shows disconnect from hotle They accomudating by charging us 500 more then the orignal reservation
- 4/5
Nice staff, great Broadway location
- 4.5/5
The hotel is sort of art deco themed and that really works. The staff were very professional. We were met by the door man who expertly monitors the immediate area outside the entrance. The security staff checking passes as you enter was reassuring. The place has a real special feel about it. Prior to the trip I had a few questions and requests that were dealt with by the support email team and I also used the consiage team to have a bunch of flowers left in the room for my wife as an arrival treat. The consiage team were absolutely first class plus some. When we return to NYC we will definitely be staying at the Eddison. My only one possible down score was that the room was maybe a little tired getting. Very clean, a nice size and a lovely bathroom. Themed like the rest of the hotel, just ready for a freshen up, but that is being quite critical and it was not something that would effect our decision to go back in any way.
- 5/5
Located at Time Square, so easy access to many of NY attractions. Room was very quiet with no street noise as one might expect in NY. On-the-go breakfast was a nice touch and convenient if in a hurry. Other breakfast options and sit down tables available for additional cost.
- 3.5/5
Sit down breakfast a bit pricey. The dinner offering on Sunday with entertainment was great Though in the hustle and bustle of Time square, still enjoyed it. The grab and go breakfast aftet a few days lacked variety. I'm still waiting for refund of $300/R7365.42. The rxchangevrate is ridiculous or incorrect. Why charge $30 for fridge? Should be standard in each room.

From the doorman and everybody you meet are kind and attentive. It has wonderful restaurants and bars inside of it. Convenience of valet it's very close to everything. There is really nothing wrong with the property, but it takes a little getting used to the sounds of NYC

Staff were amazing, clean room, breakfast was good.

I always love staying at the Hotel Edison on New York trip. Always so comfortable and a perfect location on Times Square.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Free to go breakfast options were great.
- 5/5
House keeping is superb. Rooms clean. Great location.

Came to NyC to see a play. The play was amazing and the cast phenomenal!
- 5/5
Wonderful property and Great location! Would definitely recommend.
- 4.5/5
Location was great. Packed and go breakfast was super convenient. Our room was a little run down. The aircon unit lights up the hole room at night, in the 5 days we were there the TV needed to be fixed and the bathroom door had to be repaired as door latch wouldn't open. Note they would have someone there with in 5 minutes when there was a problem.
- 3/5
I liked the location, it was near every center point, and near times square They charged twice for double booking they asked me to do online the reception
- 5/5
Location and the historical decor I could hear the neighbor’s TV
- 3.5/5
Location location! The AVAILABILITY OF 3 restaurants on premises. Best elevator system in the city! 6 fast elevators , never waited! Very few amenities in the room. Real glasses would have been nice. Real soap, a table to put things on, more light switches. One light switch for all lights , extremely bright!

I didn’t enjoy the first couple of nights of my stay. When I booked the hotel, I didn’t realize the room was an ADA/accommodations room. The shower setup was very inconvenient for us — water splashed everywhere, including the toilet paper and our clothes. The sink and room layout were also designed differently for accessibility needs, and there was no dresser or desk to put our belongings since the room needed extra space for a wheelchair. The next morning we went to the front desk to ask about changing rooms, but the lady helping us was very rude and told us there were no other rooms available. Thankfully, the following day another front desk employee named Melody was very kind and helpful and was able to find us a different room. We paid good money for the stay, and while I understand this is New York and the location is prime, the customer service did not feel welcoming or accommodating. Because of our experience, we would not stay here again. They said that was Hotel.com mistake not theirs.
- 5/5
All the staff was very helpful and pleasant considering t was graduation weekend and there were a lot more people in and out of the hotel. They had multiple evenings for a few hours where they had live music and cocktails and snacks to make the guests feel welcome. They also have several nice restaurants on the property. We loved Bond 45 and ate there several times. The breakfast options were also very nice. While it is a very busy intersection of the city, it is clost to a lot that is going on!
- 5/5
Clean, cozy and close but far enough from Times Square. I liked that we were within walking distance to TS, but far enough not to be right in the mix. I also loved that we were right across the street from the theatre we saw a play at. The room was small but that’s to be expected in NY. The food was good and not too expensive. I’ll definitely be staying here again.
- 4/5
Loved the hotel in general and would recommend it. However, my AC kept breaking.
- 5/5
Great hotel perfect location and reasonable prices
- 3/5
Get fed up with constant asking for tips
- 4/5
If you want an upgrade, go for another suite option. Location cannot be beat, so overall the rating is good. We walked to theaters and nightclub. We could not get into the rum house because we did not have a reservation. The hotel breakfast at Friedman’s was a limited menu, but all was very good. French toast was outstanding. You need reservations for breakfast at Friedman’s also, especially in weekends.
- 3/5
Location was very good. Breakfast was horrible
- 4/5
The location was great. The staff was very nice. Having activities in the lobby was fun. When I had a problem with my first room (noise from the electric closet next door) they switched me to a nicer room right away. The first room was tiny and didn't have a coffeemaker. The second was better.
- 3/5
Water faucet in bathroom leaked. 2 days to fix it. Maid left a towel on the bathroom floor for unknown time. Not sure it was from us. No drinking water first night. And air conditioning wouldn’t go below 77 degrees. Was supposed to get a bottle of wine but wasn’t told th bottle in our room was from Expedia so we never opened it. But hotel did try to make it right by us. Food in restaurants was poor. Not my first choice for future visits.
- 3/5
That said, there were two things I really didn’t understand. First, a room rate should be a room rate. The additional $40/day facility fee felt excessive and unnecessary. Second, we arrived just 50 minutes before the standard check-in time. Our rooms were ready, yet we were still charged a $50 early check-in fee. Thankfully, they waived it for one room, but we still had to pay for the second. The room was already ready — it’s not as though it was going to be rented to someone else for those extra 50 minutes. Overall, this is a great hotel, but these pricing practices definitely soured the experience.
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating! We didn't like the rom, due to the cleanliness and they were able to put us in a better room( It was out anniversary, so being in a AWESOME room was needed! The best breakfast was at Crave... we eat there and was very surprise at the food available for our stay.
- 4/5
Perfect location. Clean room. Very few vegetarian/ vegan options.
- 5/5
Great location! Rooms are small.
- 5/5
Clean room staff was very friendly restaurants and bar. We're very good.
- 3/5
Great location, and it was great to have breakfast included with our stay.
- 5/5
But.. the room was clean as a pin with new carpeting and wallpaper, the bed was comfy and the full ensuite bath was commodious. We were in the middle of Broadway, close to great theatres and restaurants, with Bond 45, Friedman's, and the Rum House right downstairs. Hotel Edison is one of our favorite places to stay when we are in New York!
- 3/5
The room size on Expedia is misleading. It's nowhere near to 225 sq ft. When I raised this issue with the front desk, the manager was not only rude but also claimed that the size means "up to" and cannot be guaranteed. They offered with a bigger room with two beds to address my escalation. This room had a housefly and probably some rodent in it's heater which was not working and I could hear a lot of noise. So I went back to the earlier tiny room. The breakfast has very limited options and is a takeaway. You need to pay an additional amount to have a sit down breakfast. I saw some foreign hair on hand towel in my bathroom, I set that towel on the side but the person who came to clean the room didn't change it and placed it back on the rack. All in all, go to a standard branded hotel for this much money (paid approx. $400 per night).
- 4/5
The Hotel Edison is in a great location right next to Times Square and surrounded by Broadway theaters. The hotel itself is clean and sufficient - the rooms are just like most in NYC - small - but we'll laid out. Unfortunately our room was right behind the elevators so it was a little noisy, though we were exhausted every night and able to sleep soundly. The staff is polite but the front desk folks were a bit overworked and stressed. The included breakfast was convenient - I recommend going to Carve for the grab and go option - they had the best options. We had a nice dinner at Bond45 during our stay and the wait staff were great, but those handing out the breakfast clearly did not want to be there. The Rum House was great - creative drinks and we really enjoyed the jazz. The doorman was so kind and helpful - he was our favorite. Overall, a solid choice in a great location.
- 4/5
The price was good considering the location. Unfortunately, there was no microwave or mini fridge and the room was small for more than two people. The breakfast was disappointing. It was downstairs and you were only allowed one piece of fruit, one drink (O.J. or water) and a choice between an egg sandwich or a yogurt with granola and four blueberries. It felt cheap and only one person there was friendly You could stay upstairs and pay for a better sit down breakfast but I felt like we had paid enough for the hotel.
- 5/5
Great property. Very secure. So close to time square and broadway
- 3/5
Great free breakfast and even the $6.50 breakfast was great. No hot water for 2 days! Hoping to get a refund for some part of it.
- 5/5
We appreciated the addition of Friedman's restaurant to the hotel. It was convenient and we really enjoyed the singing waitstaff.
- 5/5
This classic New York Hotel hit all the right buttons, fabulous location, gorgeous architectural details in the lobby, piping in Ol' Blue Eyes, the best, most helpful, courteous staff. We received complimentary snacks, waters, breakfast mid-stay room freshen, huge bank of elevators and modern rooms. And to top it off, only steps from Time Square!
- 5/5
The Hotel Edison is located in the theatre district, making it walkable to the theaters, bars, dining, and shopping.
- 5/5
Great location - clean and quiet. Nice for a quick getaway!
- 5/5
The beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower was fantastic! Lots of elevators so no long waits. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Decor is beautiful. Location is so close to the heart of Times Square. Two restaurants accessible through the hotel is convenient and the $6.50 breakfast is good, especially the French toast at Friedmans. The grab and go free breakfast at Carve was excellent. Recommend the breakfast sandwich made hot and fresh in front of you. We took ours to Central Park and ate on a beach surrounded by beauty. Fueled us for the long walk around the park.
- 5/5
This was such a great hotel in many ways! The location is awesome, the in-hotel restaurants are accessible and spacious and there are lots of fun activities e.g. happy hour in the lobby etc. We have Marcos who checked us in and he was the best- friendly, helpful, and efficient! He remembered me the next few days and always said hi to me too- which I thought was particularly nice! We had a suite for 4 adults- which was perfect for us. It was a nice room and very spacious and the bathroom was clean.
- 5/5
The location was excellent.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff.
- 3/5
Rooms are shockingly shabby and bathrooms are unacceptably filthy. The only two perks for this hotel are the location on Broadway and the fact that the restaurant, Friedman’s, is fantastic and has excellent food and waitstaff support.
- 5/5
Excellent location for theater going and getting to various points in NY Very very busy
- 5/5
Room was not big but clean and room service everyday. Price is decent as compare to other hotels. Breakfast choice is same every day so you may be bore. Hotel staff nice and polite.
- 5/5
So close to theaters. Restaurants and the bars in hotel were awesome. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
we had a good stay.

The room had some flooding and I could still tell. The carpet was curled in places and there was some dusty corners tthat had not been cleaned in a while.

I loved the location, I was able to take a shuttle from uber at a cheaper rate. I liked that there was a bar, and a little speak easy downstairs The room had some flooding and I could still tell. The carpet was curled in places and there was some dusty corners tthat had not been cleaned in a while.

We love the location of the hotel and the decor. We love that it had many food options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our first room had a broken toilet and they handle the situation very well. Within 15 minutes they had me in another room. Never had to wait for an elevator. All was good. The only thing we would ask is that there was another lamp by the bedside. The only option was all the overhead lights that were too bright or a very dim bed light.

Underwhelmed! Smallest room I’ve ever stayed in and feels dodgy AF
- 5/5
We had an amazing stay. There was 5 of us and we stayed 5 nights. The bathroom was a little small but we managed. I loved the fact that we had 2 rooms and 3 beds. Everything was clean. The staff were great and was so very helpful. Would stay again.
- 2/5
Held over $1,100 in four random charges despite having a prepaid reservation. No staff could explain why their “new system” would do this. Charged $69 for an early check in (fine) but the room was a SIGNIFICANT downgrade from what I had reserved. There was barely any room to walk in the room, no dresser/drawers, a desk so small I had to put the coffee machine on the floor to use my laptop. Ideal location but would absolutely never stay again.
- 2.5/5
That it was close to Times Square and the theater district Outdated, rooms were very small. We had to figure out on our own how to get the air conditioner to work. We tried to call the front desk but got a perennial busy signal.
- 5/5
Grab and go breakfast with seating available. Three additional options for breakfast with small upcharge. Great security. Housekeeping daily. Water bottles offered. In center of theater district, across the street. Private room thermostat for heating and cooling. Restaurant lunch did not offer condiments.

Our room here was modest in size (as expected in downtown Manhattan), but had everything that we needed. The room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Security was excellent, making sure that only registered guests had access to the elevators which went up to the rooms. The location was right in the theater district, which made it handy for going to Broadway shows.

Bed was very comfortable, but room was tiny and so much dust! Things like all of the light switches and the buttons on the safe were so grimy I felt the need to antibacterial wipe everything. Clearly room hoovered but real lumps of dust along all edges of the room. Staff were fantastic but hotel is super dated. Fine if you just need a bed or visiting quickly for work (though poor desk for working!) but not luxurious and not somewhere I'd choose to stay for a holiday.
- 4/5
Had to request a coffee maker in my room but they brought it right up. No complaints.

I liked everything about it

Highly recommend it and will definitely come back when traveling again to Wroclaw.

Polite staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great location, atmospheric setting. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. The description on Booking.com does not match reality. In the Hotel Edison's view, "breakfast included" consists of greasy sandwiches wrapped in plastic. If you want the standard breakfast, then pay up. This small—yet significant—detail ruined the entire experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location is the only Plus, but I really regret having stayed there. Never again.

The staff are very professional and the facility is very clean.

This was my first time in New York. My stay was okay comparative to other hotels I have stayed in other cities. The parking was best if you valet parked. They did not allow in and out parking. The hotel was nice except the shower was very small. The staff was moderately hospitable. The dining was unimpressive with no room service. I was right off Times Square so that was exciting. My doorman Bolivar was the shining spot. He was great!!!
- 3/5
I was really disappointed in the appearance of the room. I was excited to see the hotel with the doorman and folks inside but when I got to our room, it sure needed updates. The room did not meet my expectations, very disappointed for the price and description online. Carpets, paint, window dressings and furniture. I would appreciate a discount or partial refund.
- 4.5/5
I stayed for a week and was made to feel at home with Maricela behind the check in desk, and Mevlinda there to keep my room clean and fresh! The shower wated pressure was just acceptable.
- 4.5/5
The breakfast wasn't so good. This "grab & go" type is not so convenient and the portions decreased day by day . If in the 1st day the yogurt option had the normal size, in the last day the cup was just half full.

location is great only half a block to time square, but that's about it. was given vouchers for a pizza and a coke a few blocks away when we go there it was only 2 slices no drink. pipes were clanking throughout the night and when showering water pressure dropped numerous times. after checking out, the 300 dollar deposit they took upon checking in wasn't refunded completely. they charged us 137 dollars for "facility fees". Basically they ripped us off for 137 bucks. the streets are safe no need to watch your wallet, but watch out for the hidden fees with the hotels.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful and professional. Good dining options on site and nearby.
- 4/5
Rooms were cleaned up properly and amenities were okay and wish microwave or tiny refrigerator provided in the room. Great location and good food options in the same place. Good feeling of being in nyc heritage property
- 5/5
always feel at home at the Edison
- 5/5
Staff is awesome (especially Hanniel!), friendly, and super helpful. Loved both the restaurants (check out the singing staff at Friedman's if you love showtunes) and the Rum House. Coming back in June!!
- 4/5
If you want a sound and secure hotel at a mid-$300 price in the heart of the chaos that is Times Square, Edison is a good choice. There was a bit too much—conferences, conventions, Mother’s Day, people, for me, but… if you are going for theater, you couldn’t be more in the heart of it. A once grand hotel is still treated as such by those who run it.
- 5/5
It was art deco glam . Chic and elegant . Location Location Location !

Everything here is excellent. I always stay here for NY Fashion Week and with all the hustle and bustle the staff is always on point and helpful.
- 4/5
The location is perfect, at the north west corner of the Times Square, very comfortable public transport options. The hotel and the rooms are clean. The rooms are pretty big. There are three restaurants in the hotel. Three or four options for breakfast. There is not enough light in the room. it's impossible to read a book or do anything you need light for!!!
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean
- 4/5
The staff could have been friendlier. We were told there was a bottle of wine in the room however there wasn’t. When we brought it up the next day the guy just walked away from us. He came back 5 minutes later and said he talked to his manager and would get us another. We didn’t ask for the bottle we were just sharing. It was odd to not have clear communication. If you store your luggage they charge a $1 per piece and then you are encouraged to tip as well. It wasn’t the easiest process. Overall the stay was fine for the night.
- 1/5
One very important detail: the hotel charges $8 for every Amazon package received, which is NOT mentioned anywhere in their description. On top of that, the package pickup process is TERRIBLE — you have to wait in the same huge check-in line just to collect packages you already paid for at "available hours". We had 24 packages and ended up paying an ABSURD amount. It honestly felt exploitative and wasted hours of our trip, adding the stress on our moods. Some packages were marked as received but were lost somewhere in the hotel, so more waiting time and stress. What made this EVEN WORSE was how outdated and manual their processes were — staff were literally handling package tracking with paper and pencil by hand, which explains the disorganization. The bathroom had no ventilation/extractor fan, the room was cold, and there was no heating available. So discusting. I’ve traveled to NYC 4 times before and stayed in other hotels that were better, more professional and better priced. This hotel seemed to charge extra for absolutely everything while offering a much worse experience overall. Shoutout to the only truly helpful person we encountered there: Pablo from engineering, who kindly provided us with a portable heater. You suck, as a team and as a hotel.
- 5/5
Customer service at its very best ! The entire team ! The food and the cleanliness and atmosphere was superb and across the street from the Barrymore Theatre …absolutely amazing ! Thank you and we wol be back ! Toy and the entire team rock oh and the extra special touches with your partnership with the cafe / restaurants were perfect as we ate at all three …and the elegant mothers say touch with photo opportunities were priceless as we were here for a mommy and daughter annual trip ! Thanks

Great location, room wasn't as advertised in pictures hotel staff did not offer to let us switch to a different room
- 5/5
Loved my stay ! Not first time at the Edison.
- 5/5
The property was clean, and well maintained. The staff were firendly and helpful. The amenities left a little to be desired. The entertainment (TV) system was from 2008, and some features (Googlecast specifically) failed to work. Though I understand that's not why people come to the Theater District, it's still suboptimal. Finally, I fully recognize space is at a premium, but the gap between the sink and shower door was VERY small (as was the bathroom). This was highly inconvenient.
- 4/5
Great location near Times Square and Broadway. Clean room, friendly staff, and easy check-in/check-out. Rooms are small, but overall a good stay at an affordable price point for Manhattan hotels.
- 4/5
I had a wonderful stay here. They had happy hour and gave breakfast vouchers.
- 4/5
In terms of convenience and location, the hotel is unbeatable. The staff is phenomenal, great service. Breakfast to go every morning was amazing and hearing the cheers from the crowds at the Richard Rodgers Theatre stage doors every night was fun. In terms of sound, the walls of the room we were in were very thin. It was a noisy stay.
- 4/5
Very safe, convenient location in the theatre district. Stay here every time I visit the city.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and location
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and location. The staff was really kind, professional, and helpful. The hotel has lots of characater too; it felt like quintessential New York. Great hotel!

Had some issues with our room not being ready 15 mins after checkin time, had to wait another 15 mins, then they tried to give me a room with 2 queen beds instead of a king bed, they tried to fix it but the King room wasn't ready still I had I had to wait another 20 mins. Once we got our room it was nice and clean, small but great location next to broadway theaters and times square. Would recommend others give it a shot.
- 4/5
Concierge couldn’t understand us very well. Also it said broadway tix were half price on the weekend but that wasn’t true. We got wayyyy cheaper on ticket master. Refillable water station on floor 18 was terrible!! Undrinkable! Sink water was better. Good location and friendly staff. Red wine was good.
- 4/5
The staff, and amenities were great, the only complaint I have is that even a fter all windows closed and curtains down, some traffic noise came thru.
- 4/5
Surprisingly not bad, near everything. While everyone went to tlTimes Square, we veered left to Hell's Kitchen neighborhood for dining and found wonderful little hole in the wall restaurants. Room is a little noisy from the sounds of the city, but it is to be expected since you're so close to such a popular area. Definitely will stay again.
- 5/5
The staff were really great, and the room itself was definitely clean. However, there wasn't any coffee provided in the room, and the space was quite small.
- 5/5
Had a delightful time. We ate it both of the restaurants and they were fantastic. Great cocktails too.
- 5/5
Excellent beds ! A very safe place to stay!!
- 5/5
The hotel is perfect location for the theaters and restaurants - staff is great and you get free breakfast! This is the only place we stay when visiting NYC!

The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bars and restaurant are great options when you don’t want to leave the hotel in a rainy day or you just want a day of not wondering far. The bartender at Bind 45 is exceptionally good and makes me feel welcome. I will definitely be staying at Hotel Edison again.
- 4/5
No complaints!
- 3.5/5
Great location, almost all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was very small. Paid for a room with 2 queen beds but they were definitely not queen beds. No refrigerator in room and they need better blackout curtains to block the flashing lights from the digital screens outside. Also had an encounter with an extremely rude bellhop. Bag storage is $1 per bag but this man did not tell us that when he took our bags and then behaved very aggressively towards us when I said he should have told us there was a cost. I didn’t care about the fee but that is not how staff should treat guests.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great location near Broadway theaters and Times Square! Great staff and very commendable accommodations. I would definitely stay here again for my next visit to Broadway and Times Square!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel and so close to Times Square. Hotel is literally in the middle of all the Broadway theatres. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was a definite perk. You have vouchers you can redeem for hot breakfasts and two nearby eateries. Would definitely stay at the Hotel Edison again!
- 5/5
Absolutely enjoyed my stay. Thank you to Jennifer at reception for making check in a breeze. She made sure to tell me about all the amenities, perks and gave advice about the neighboring restaurants and activities. Humberto was super helpful with helping me to my room. Everyone is just absolutely kind and welcoming. The room is clean and newly renovated. The breakfast is incredible at bond. Cannot wait to come back.
- 5/5
Breakfast menu was limited but good. There was an additional fee to sit in the dining room.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean, bed was comfy. Location in the heart of Time Square.
- 4/5
Very clean hotel and breakfast vouchers were a plus. I felt water and coffee should have always been stocked. Instead everyday we had to stop àt the front desk and ask for more. Bathroom is very small and a challenge for three ladies getting ready for the day. For the price and location, I would definitely book again.

What I didnt like - it took me 4 days, and 2 calls (1 hr apart) to get my VIP perk (bottle of wine). So if you are VIP, just be persistent. You will hear honking (they love to honk in this city) and the occassional sirens, but you are in the city. I liked that I had a balcony but sad that the door to it was bolted shut. There were many breakfast options here. The grab and go is nice, but not so great if you cant do dairy, but Carvers had non dairy options (and I think they could make their breakfast sandwhich with no cheese if asked). I liked being able to grab a water, banana and packet of pancakes to eat while I head out. The room - very small. There is a table but with the coffee machine and phone on it, there wasnt much room left to put my items. I travelled solo, I think it would be tricky if my husband came because he has a cpap machine that takes up room I would definately stay here again!
- 5/5
Clean room. Appreciated arrangement of the shuttle from airport to hotel. Everyone every accomodating. Liked the Grab and Go breakfast!
- 4/5
No Late Checkout but they will store luggage during day for minimal fee
- 4/5
Second stay here. Rooms are spacious. Washroom is small. Great location. Breakfast is good. Loud due to construction outside during the night.
- 4/5
I recommend to staying at Edison hotel close every where and safe
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Hotel Edison was an excellent choice for our stay in NYC. The staff were helpful, kind, and friendly. Everything was handled with a smile from our room upgrade, holding our bags so we could do some sightseeing, and valet parking our car. We would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Great location, love the architectural presence. Very pleasant atmosphere , very convenient to access public transportation. Staff is always present and helpful.
- 4/5
Minimum lighting in our room (516) Front desk personal always in a hurry. Location is GREAT.
- 5/5
I will stay at Hotel Edison every time I visit from now on.
- 5/5
I stayed for three nights, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Yes, the rooms are small, but it is New York. The hotel staff where all very friendly, the property is clean and well maintained, and the location is great. The hotel is close to all the Theaters, transportation and many sites. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Issues with the Air Conditioner.
- 2.5/5
Front desk didn't respond to request
- 5/5
Love the location for my work and the comfort ability of the room. Wouldn’t have minded a slightly bigger room but that would have cost more, I guess. I prefer rooms with more light so will ask to be on a higher floor. It’s NY with buildings all around.
- 3.5/5
We liked the way it still had old time charm. The lobby is small but well taken care of and easy to navigate. At first we had a room with a win do air conditioner that was loud and made the hotel feel run down.
- 5/5
All Staff Members we interacted with were very pleasant & helpful. The room was very nice. The $6.50 Breakfast at Freidman's was a nice amenity.
- 5/5
Everything was as expected
- 4/5
The service at the downstairs bar was excellent. As was checkin and checkout. Large room was a plus. Bed absolutely fine. Location of the Edison is perfect for a Broadway based holiday. The sandwich for the grab and go breakfast at Bond 45 was mediocre at best. And in the bathroom there was of choice of Body & Hand Cream, Hair Conditioner and Hair Shampoo. But there were 2 Shampoos and no Soap of Shower Gel. Not helpful.
- 5/5
Easy walk to Broadway Plays, Subway, and felt safe at night even with my 10yr son. The staff was friendly and helpful. H
- 5/5
A 1 minute walk to Time Square, the staffs are very nice and polite especially Bobby the Doorman and Albert the Bell Man. 😁❤️
- 5/5
Everything was perfect staff as always is very accommodating and responsive to any requests. This is my go to place in New York.
- 5/5
I’ve gotta say that for a hotel situated within 1/2 a block of Times Square (and an extremely high volume property at that), it was absolutely immaculate! The decor was classic Art Deco in the Lobby and the floors seemed to all be nicely updated. Our room was very affordable so my expectations were pretty low going in. I was very pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, finishes and overall condition of our room (considering the location and price) and would therefore highly recommend a stay here if you want an excellent value right in the heart of it all!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious, the restaurant Bond 45 was excellent. The only thing is that I wanted to purchase the hotel tote bag and nobody could tell me where I can purchase it.
- 4.5/5
The bathroom was extremely too small.
- 5/5
Last time stayed in old room was awful. This stay was in updated room was wonderful! Old non updated rooms awful
- 5/5
Close to Times Square, three restaurants/bars attached to the property, grab and go breakfast made things easy in the mornings, staff was all very helpful and nice, had live music and wine on one of the nights we were there. Elevators were quick. We didn’t have any dislikes.
- 5/5
Our stay in New York was amazing! The hotel location is incredible and made it very easy to explore the city. The hotel itself is very good, super clean and organized, and we felt very comfortable during our stay. We loved everything! As a suggestion, it would be great if they had a minibar in the room, as it would make the experience even better. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Hotel Edison is convenient to Times Square. The staff are helpful. Bonds 45 is a fantastic restaurant.
- 5/5
Luggage hold secure nice restaurants
- 2/5
We selected this hotel because it was in close proximity to the Barrymore Theatre. The room was very basic (bathtub, bed, towels), no coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave. When I asked the desk for a refrigerator, I was advised it would cost $50 (didn't know if that was per night or per stay). Also, the room door also would not close unless you forced it - a safety concern. Thankfully, we were only there for one night.
- 5/5
Overall solid hotel option! Great location, room was lovely and staff were friendly. The grab and go breakfast was a brilliant perk, kept us full until dinner.
- 3.5/5
The location , the stuff was amazing Very nice and kind people in the middle of New York city Especially marcuz The size of the room is crazy size small There is not enough place to moving
- 4/5
location We stayed on the 5th floor , it was very noisy at bedtime. We heard all the nightlife outside , still worth it, the location was fantastic.
- 4.5/5
Small room, but adequate
- 4/5
location is perfect for tourism, in the heart of broadway and room was large enough for a family of 6 1h in line at the lobby to check-in, kind of chaotic and stressfull when you have kids
- 4/5
Location Value to quality
- 4/5
The location is the best! Steps from Times Square. I also loved that they had a valet parking service. Highly recommend the Hotel Edison!
- 4/5
Location Small bathroom. Sink backed up. I reported it, but it didn’t get fixed until the next day.
- 1.5/5
Hotel room and facilities
- 4/5
Location, quality AC was broken
- 5/5
Great location. Love this location and their sister property, "The Frederick"
- 4/5
Everything was great except for the $80 fee for early check in which led to a long line at regular check in.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the upgrades they have made are awesome.
- 5/5
Staff was Fantastic
- 5/5
The check in staff where nice and friendly, clean and comfy room! Will definitely come back with fam and friends
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly. We loved that you had to show your room key to access the elevator. Very much enjoyed the Grab and Go ticket vouchers for breakfast. And the location in Times Square could not have been better! We highly recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Only down side was the early construction noise that could be heard
- 5/5
Very helpful
- 5/5
It was close to Times Square. The security was great! The fitness center was well stocked! The restaurants were good. The breakfast voucher was fantastic! The room was just what we needed for our stay in NYC. It was super close to Hamilton!
- 4/5
The hotel and room was clean and had decent amenities. Our AC leaked in our first room, but the room change was easy and efficient. All staff was kind and they went above and beyond during our stay. Booking transportation took a bit of back and forth via email so make sure to start that process well before your stay. The attached restaurant, Friedman’s, had delicious food and a nightly event where the servers sang Broadway tunes that was really fun. Overall was very happy with the hotel, its connected restaurants, and the close location to Times Square and Broadway.
- 2/5
Room was very tired, drafts from windows, noisy with a clanking noise all night, additional charges that were not explained including additional fees for breakfast. Reception staff were abrupt and unfriendly. No tea and coffee or kettle in the room. You had to ask for it and then they has no English breakfast tea for our whole visit. The bathroom was tired abs very small for a family of 4. Great location but that was it! Would not recommend
- 5/5
Staff was great! Excellent location in midtown without the exorbitant price. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Clean room, Great Location, Entertaining Restaurant on site!
- 4/5
Nothing at this hotel is free: We had t pay US$1 per luggage for it to be held as we got there earlier than check-in time. You must pay for early check-in provided it available I was not given my VIP complimentary bottle of wine PROS Room was above average for a Time Square location It is very conveniently located - 30 seconds from the theatre that is showing "Six" and relatively close to all other locations Free Breakfast (for 2 only) I like that I had 3 location I could have got breakfast - we used Carve as we got the most food there, more than enough for 3 to share. The staff was nice; I think it is a good option for short-term stay.
- 3/5
Heater/ac unit extremely loud. Pipes loud.
- 5/5
The only thing that was bothersome was in the morning of our arrival when we were offered an upgrade (at a cost but was willing to pay) but unfortunately it was not available to acquire. I think if they offer that, they should have it available.
- 5/5
All of the above
- 5/5
The door man Bobby was amazing, the receptionist was amazing. Very accommodating! Hotel was clean and in the best location steps from the heart of timesquare! 10/10 will be coming back!
- 5/5
Very clean and organized
- 5/5
Staff is positively awesome! Tex at the Front Desk and Ana with Housekeeping were especially wonderful! Thank you for making our stay during the 2026 blizzard so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!
- 2/5
Our room has these constant metal clanking noises and random noises every 30 seconds which made it very hard to sleep
- 4/5
Location and amenities
- 5/5
Staff were very nice. Lines were long but moved quickly. Room was very clean. The room was small but as expected for midtown. Location was excellent, only steps to Times Square and shows.
- 5/5
Great staff (stored our bags after checkout for $3 per bag) spacious room, nice bathroom, great location.
- 5/5
Everyone was so so kind and accommodating!! Just an amazing visit!!!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing! Love the vibe!!
- 1/5
AC generator are so loud that we could not have good night sleep. Bathroom looks old and shower head runs little water. House keepers rush to clean even we put on “Please do not Disturb” sign, we do not enjoy staying at hotel room and relax at all.
- 5/5
Yes the room was clean and nice for the price
- 5/5
Staff was great!
- 3/5
This was our third time to stay in the hotel and first time since it changed ownership. Since our last stay, they’ve bolted the windows shut and can’t be cranked open even slightly to allow fresh air in. We asked at reception and apparently all windows are now locked. The room had a musty smell, was far too warm and when the air con was turned on, the smell was even worse. Such a pity as the location is excellent, staff lovely but the room was extremely uncomfortable. Sadly, we will change hotel next time.
- 2/5
Room is in terrible condition, no fridge, broken tv, very small
- 5/5
The staff were all very pleasant including the maid staff. The location was excellent t for going to the theatre and there were plenty of places to ear near by. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were on the 8th floor and there was some outside noise at night but to be expected in NY. The grab and go breakfast was a nice touch and we enjoyed going to carve each morning. We dined in at Bi d 44 one morning but found the carve breakfast to be nicer. We don’t breakfast at Friedman’s.
- 4/5
Room was clean, close to all the theaters and Times Square. Staff was friendly. This is my go to hotel when I visit New York.
- 4/5
Clean room very friendly staff very organized. Location was excellent and the restaurants inside the hotel were very good. Having the free breakfast was a plus.
- 3/5
Billing process
- 5/5
Cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were courteous and attentive. The location was conveniently close to Times Square. I would definitely recommend booking here again.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
The staff was excellent & hotel was marvelous.perfect location
- 3/5
No mini fridge was a big inconvenience, as well as the room was not like the photos on the listing and much smaller then expected
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Jahaida at the front desk was terrific when we checked in. She was professional, friendly, helpful, patient, and all-around outstanding. We look forward to returning to Hotel Edison on future trips!
- 5/5
clean room, perfect breakfast service and amazing location right beside times square
- 4/5
Room was good for a 1 night stay. Needs some updating. Hotel had great restaurants and bars.
- 5/5
The hotel was very majestic and even though renovated over the years since we had last stayed at Edison, it was very well maintained the staff was very courteous and we enjoyed our daily breakfast at Friedmans. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our 3 night stay. We love the Edison because of its location in the heart of Times Square👍
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at Edison many times but this was the first time in many years, at least 15. Clean rooms and included bathroom amenities. Breakfast was very good. Check out easy and fast.
- 4/5
I had a nice stay overall. The housekeeping staff were amazing—very professional and friendly, and they did a great job. Unfortunately, the front desk staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. With a warmer reception experience, this stay would have been excellent.
- 3/5
Very very friendly staff. Clean room. 12 pm checkout time is great plus asked and got extra 30 mins. Quiet. Not so good: Room has funky odor. Tiny bathroom that is overheated for some reason. Food meh. Overall: Would I stay again? Yes.
- 5/5
Prime location
- 5/5
Top notch in every aspect! Located in the heart of NYC. Beautiful art deco themed decor and updated, CLEAN, comfortable rooms. Abundant, friendly, helpful staff. Restaurants right onsite boast excellent food, options, and service. And the value of everything cannot be beat. I’ve been coming to Hotel Edison for 25 years and it just keeps getting better!!
- 4/5
Excellent!!
- 5/5
Great location. Discounted Breakfast with your stay. Will stay again.
- 3/5
Went for daughter’s 18th birthday- a tradition for years now- nothing special done to welcome her. She always loved that touch. Booked two rooms, on separate floors which was disappointing. Mattresses were terrible as well. Bit of a dud and we are regular visitors. Valet doorman, and bellman were very nice.
- 5/5
Great accomodations!
- 5/5
The Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel and rooms were very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of Time Square, Rockefeller and multiple Subways. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful!
- 4/5
Room was comfortable and met our standards. The outside noise was not pleasant from 4:00am onwards everyday, maybe higher floors would have helped.
- 5/5
Location is prime. Front desk is great. Loved restaurants. Be sure to check out the live music in the bar at night!
- 5/5
I love the hotel and the location. Super friendly staff!
- 5/5
Perfect location to Times Square. Room was clean. Staff was helpful.
- 5/5
Thank you. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was amazing!!
- 5/5
Have been staying here since 1979. Always an excellent choice in NYC with regards to location, staff, housekeeping staff and accommodations. You can never go wrong with the Edison.
- 5/5
People were very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
yes it was!
- 1/5
The water in my room was cold. There were multiple leaks in the bathroom from the walls and the ceiling. We did switch rooms. There was already water damage to the ceiling so the leak wasn’t new. Their offer to make it right was a pizza coupon. Seems unreasonable.
- 3/5
Staff could be friendlier and more consistent when checking in guests. Lobby was chaotic at check-in time and it could have been organized much better. Room was fine, clean if a little shabby. Breakfast options were appreciated.
- 5/5
Clean, safe, great location.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming, as well as the management. Wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Room was great!! Staff were very nice and helpful!!
- 3/5
Ok cnf
- 5/5
Very courteous and knowledgeable staff.
- 1/5
The room’s heating system did not work properly, we had to call multiple times to request help with the heater in the room. The water was turned OFF for 8 hours without any notification until after checking in. The absolute worst thing was the front desk “tapped” my credit card three times (too quickly) at check in triggering a fraudulent charges alert that locked my credit card for our entire trip due to these pending charges. Instead of $800, $2400 was charged improperly. The hotel manager on duty made no effort to help, instead treated my husband and like criminals. Fortunately, I had additional credit cards, but really this is acceptable?!?The restaurant staff tapped one these other cards too quickly again and DENIED payment for a meal at the hotel’s restaurant. Ironically my husband used his card linked to the same account with no problem. Obviously, the staff can use more training on using chip credit cards. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, nor recommend it to anyone! This hotel is the closest you can get to camping while in NYC!!!
- 1/5
Not good
- 4/5
That said, I did find the rooms quite small, and the walls were fairly thin, so noise from other rooms and the hallway could be heard at times. Breakfast options were also limited as it was only a “to-go” breakfast. Considering the price of the hotel, I felt it was a bit expensive for such limited breakfast variety. I was also surprised by the daily service charges. I stayed for 9 days and was charged for amenities like the gym and internet, even though I didn’t use them, which added up quite a bit. Overall, it was a decent stay, but I think there are a few areas where the value could be improved.
- 5/5
Good “grab and go” breakfast. Manager’s happy hour with live music. Excellent location just off Times Square. Stayed here twice; and will be returning. Excellent value for money in NYC.
- 5/5
Incredible staff. Lovely, spacious rooms. And you can’t beat the location + proximity to Broadway shows and other great spots in midtown. Also, I love the breakfast vouchers they give you each day. This is rare for NYC hotels and saves a lot of money. Love Hotel Edison!
- 3/5
Staff was professional. Hotel room heater did not work for 3 of the 4 nights so had to settle for a space heater. They did not offer another room with working heater.
- 4/5
Perfect location. Clean
- 5/5
The rooms are small but comfortable & the staff is amazing
- 5/5
The room was spotless. We did have a little fluctuation with the heater during the cold. When we asked about our room being cold we were told they just restarted the boiler. Otherwise everything was perfect!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall a fantastic stay.
- 3/5
Everything was ok but nothing wow. When booked I had an impression that rooms are bigger but it was ok.
- 5/5
the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful! everyone was delightful!
- 4/5
Great staff. Very helpful. Nice, well designed room, larger than I expected.
- 4/5
Great Staff. There is a few options for the free breakfast or a discounted upgraded breakfast. Good location. The only complaint i have is the room was a bit noisy from the halls and some pipes would knock in the middle of the night.
- 5/5
My stay was perfect, and they were even able tp assist when I had to extend the stay due to the storm.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Staff was great!
- 5/5
We absolutely loved the location, the breakfast vouchers were amazing, the happy hour with the live music, the hotel and room were spotless and the staff was superb! We ate dinner at the Bond restaurant every night and absolutely loved it. We will stay there next time we are in New York City!
- 5/5
Clean room and a great staff, Jenn at front desk and Drita the housekeeper. Security and Natalie the server at Friedman's. The sit down breakfast for $6.50 was good. Four selections and two different Venues, Friedman's and Bond 45. The wine hour with music was fun too.
- 5/5
Small but clean rooms; parking was expensive but staff were friendly
- 5/5
Staff was courteous, and even provided a wine bottle as a gift for the stay. The hotel is located strategically and is within minutes of Time Square and subway stations for access to other areas.
- 5/5
Great location. Grab and go breakfast was wonderful. There is a restaurant with broadway singers at dinner time and a rum bar all at the same location.
- 3/5
I do love the restaurants associated.
- 5/5
good attention, clean, service, great location just few steps to times square and subway station
- 5/5
The receptionist Staff was Friendly and Cooperative, the room and the Toilet was spacious and Very clean containing all the amenities. Thanks to all Hotel Edison Staff,it was an Excellent stay.

The receptionist Staff was Friendly and Cooperative, the room and the Toilet was spacious and Very clean containing all the amenities. Thanks to all Hotel Edison Staff,it was an Excellent stay.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and staff were helpful and friendly. The location made for easy access to the theaters and restaurants during NYC Restaurant week. Excellent.
- 4/5
Everything was exceptional. Fabulous restaurants, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. The fan was loud in my room but they kindly moved me to another.
- 5/5
Excellent location and the room was super comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was small but it was up to date and clean. Not visiting NYC for the room. Excellent location… half a block to Times Square
- 3/5
Nos dejaron en una habitación cerca del elevador y fue horrible demasiado ruido y lo reportamos y no hubo seguimiento por parte del personal del hotel y también solicitamos una bata extra y tampoco no la llevaron
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 5/5
Room was very nice and clean
- 5/5
Great location and clean
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff were very accommodating. Perfect location for all things in time square i would stay here again
- 3/5
Check-in was terrible. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told my room still wasn't ready and I needed to go get in line again. I waited in line to check in for another 45 minutes.
- 5/5
Nice staff, room and lobby clean
- 5/5
Room was beautiful and immaculate. Would 100% stay here again!
- 5/5
Perfect location, clean and comfortable stay
- 3/5
The Breakfast that was included with our room was great, and once again if you’re looking for convenience and location it’s a great place but you’ll pay for a little more than you get.
- 2/5
The room is very dated and dark. Extremely poor lighting. There are many better alternatives for this price point.
- 4/5
Clean rooms great restaurants wonderful location, but we spent around 1 hour in the frontdesk line for the check in
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room and good value for the room price. I’d definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Didnt like the check in experience at all left and checked into another hotel
- 5/5
Hotel very clean
- 4/5
Great room, easy access. Lobby is a bit chaotic and poorly managed. Everyone was so friendly.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable, really close to Times Square, very convenient.
- 3/5
The heater in the room was ridiculously loud. Every time it turned on it would sound like something was being banged around in the unit. Room 1422 unit should definitely be checked out. Will not be staying here again!
- 3/5
One problem after another, check into room and lightbulb out on table side lamp. Then the bathroom leaks and floods the floor. Then the air conditioner stopped working. At one point it was 78 degrees in the room. Put in matienance request, and it wasn’t actually fixed. Would turn on, make a weird noise as if the AC unit was falling apart inside, and then turn off. The back entrance to the hotel stayed shut which created additional frustration. Lady at check in didn’t full explain amenities such as fitness center which is important if we are having to pay a destination fee ontop of room rate. Ran out of shampoo in shower, housekeeping came in throughout stay but didn’t fill it up once which is something they should be checking. Just not great. Overall, coulda stayed at a motel 6 and had same experience.
- 3/5
Check in was half an hour late. The room is very nice and staff was very friendly!
- 5/5
The rooms in this hotel are quieter than others in the area. The staff is always courteous and helpful. I love both restaurants that you can access from the lobby. Water pressure was great and I didn't need to touch the thermostat in the room. Lobby is always a bit crazy but the staff does a great job managing the flow of traffic.
- 3/5
Will not be staying here ever again. Multiple staff members were rude (they were some who were very nice), but for example, a man who wears glasses with dark hair named “Tex” was very rude at check-in. The room was super small, low lighting, uncomfortable bed, awful view, warm and poorly decorated. Bathroom was so small that when you sit on the toilet your left arm hits the shower. The bathroom did have good water pressure and plenty of bot water though. The hotel lobby itself is pretty. Very safe area and great location. Lots of pros and cons, but for the price we will stay elsewhere next time.
- 1/5
Terrible Staff, terrible customer service
- 5/5
We had a great stay! This was our 2nd time staying here while in NY. Location is perfect and the staff are very nice and helpful as always.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful
- 2/5
The staff was not welcoming, they charge extra to store your bags until check in, they charge extra to check in early, they don't have fridges in the rooms that's an extra charge. The rooms are super small nothing was as advertised! You cannot see time square from the room. They have a business center advertised but it is not accessible to guest we had to get a manager to utilize it. You're literally paying for the location that's all!
- 4/5
Enjoyed the stay just wish the room had an extra mirror and more lighting but overall great hotel.
- 4/5
clean room
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, service was great. Hotel is decorated beautifully for the holidays. Attached restaurants were very good. Hotel staff was helpful and kind
- 5/5
location
- 5/5
Great location and service.
- 5/5
Hotel Edison is the perfect location for a tourist. There is dining, close to the theaters, the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and roomy.
- 4/5
Location is perfect. Room condition is good, however it would be great if it could improve some things , such as adding towels bar and hand soap in bathroom, replacing a large tea table in room.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, convenient to Times Square and great dining options.
- 5/5
We also requested for a fridge since we have a baby and we needed something to store her milk and the staff gladly helped us! Tbey are very approachable.
- 5/5
The staff was great helping us to move from thr gallivant to there, the rum bar it's incredible, and the staff in general auper kind
- 5/5
had a wonderful stay cleaning was nice and the the accessibility to everything was convenient and generous
- 5/5
Great location! Rooms are small but clean. Love the art deco vibe and the restaurants are great and super convenient. Twice during our stay the waitstaff at Bond 45 went above and beyond for special requests.
- 5/5
The room was great and the staff was courteous and responsive.
- 5/5
Staff were amazing.
- 4/5
The room was very clean, location great and staff
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel was top notch! Staff was amazing, room was spacious ( for NYC) free grab and go breakfast (literally can’t beat that in NYC) security was great, etc. even though there are thousands of hotels in NYC, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
