Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its convenient location, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, there are mixed reviews about the cleanliness, room size, and breakfast options.

- Comfortable beds
- Inconsistent cleanliness
- Limited breakfast options

Great view. Clean space.
- 5/5
Other than that all is well, and appreciate the size of room, location, and bathroom. Spacious for NYC.
- 4/5
One thing to note is that there isn't really a dedicated lounge or common area to sit and relax outside of your room. The main gathering spaces are the restaurants and bars, so it can feel a bit awkward if you're not ordering anything. That said, the rooftop bar was a highlight of our stay—the drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The complimentary Coca-Cola, Saratoga water in the glass bottles, snacks and reading material were a nice touch.

We were helped by a red-head man who was very pleasant and helpful when we had issues at check in. I loved the location close to the train station and eating establishments. The front desk guy also gave us water cans which was very much appreciated. Drinks in the mini bar were complimentary. The beds were very comfortable. I didn't like the no person check in. It's always nice to be greeted by someone. The second day we asked for water but it wasn't ever delivered. I thought I had paid for breakfast and the front desk person said no it wasn't included. I never got a correct bill at check out which leads me to believe I paid for services I never received-daily breakfast. I may have also been billed for parking which I did not use. The front desk said they would send me a bill, but I have yet to receive something.

Cons: AC doesn't work well; we never got it to go under 73°.
- 4.5/5
Great location and value. Rooms were comfortable, well appointed and had everything you need. It’s clear the building is well maintained. Would stay again. Some inconsistency in the types of towels delivered after a cleaning. Only had wash clothes one night of my 5 night stay and didn’t have a bath mat the last day. Also the treadmill was a nightmare. You needed to download a peloton app to use; I saw many guests confused and struggling to use what should be a straightforward piece of gym equipment.
- 5/5
Breakfast was awesome and the bar had a great selection. Enjoyed the stay- room was equipped with most necessities.

There was a lot of dust in the room—on the furniture, on the coat rack, and inside the closets.

Smaller than described. Had to move the coffee maker to plug it in could barely open the refrigerator door as it was facing the wall. Air-conditioning was either red hot or blowing August in your face as you sleep

Hotel had a good location in comparison to the subway, just two city blocks away. We had a balcony room and quite honestly I’ve never in my life seen a room that small. Front desk was more than helpful and courteous

- 4/5
Overall, lovely place to stay. We got the package with the breakfast included and it was wonderful - unique, flavorful entree choices. The staff was very helpful, kind and attentive. Clean room, shower included a rain style head as well as a typical shower head. Location was near a subway stop, so made travel around NYC very easy. Only downside was that the HVAC didn’t keep a consistent temperature, if the AC was on, the temp dropped to 55 regardless of temperature setting, if the heat was on, it raised to over 80. But - overall, we enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
Shower leaked out something terrible on the floor had to use more towels to soak up the water than used to dry myself with. But this is my hotel I always stay at. Seems like the restaurant improved and created a bit of a wait list so kudos to the improvement.

We loved our experience. Great location too!

Very comfortable beds, Lovely breakfast , lovely Joanna in the breakfast room serving , Station nearby . Rooms were small , for king beds , no room for two bags. Booking required for rooftop bar so didn’t get to visit there .

I would definitely stay in the hotel again!

Since this hotel changed ownership from the Mondrian to the park avenue hotel - everything is seriously upgraded and it became a great hotel to stay - fun and tasty restaurant in the lobby , also available for breakfast and great coffee . The rooms are spacious and fun . Location is great .

Beautiful room, really spacious and was cleaned daily. Where provided with complementary snacks and drinks + coffee machine, iron, umbrella, tote, etc. The staff were very kind and friendly. Breakfast was an additional cost and was lovely but quite expensive. Overall, would 100% stay here again and recommend.

They have a new style ground floor lobby with self check-in with the staff helping. But because they staff isn't uniformed, it was unclear who was staff, who was just other customers giving advice, and who were homeless people looking to get in out of the rain. It made us feel confused and on-edge. The room itself was not nearly as nice as the online photo.

I love everything about the hotel. I had breakfast, dinner and had a drink at the seed library. Joanna at Park Rose made the trip memorable. Jose and Taylor are too good at the seed library. Thank you Jose for making an awesome drink based on my request.
- 5/5
This property exceeded my expectations. It is upscale, but affordable, small, quiet, and well-appointed. We were surprised by the details that the staff very clearly attended to - sundries all filled and locked, snacks provided, mirrored decor and glass fixtures spotless... it appeared they wanted everyone to enjoy luxury without pretension. Yvonne was a welcoming face at check-in and every staff member we encountered was openly friendly, a surprise for the city on a rainy holiday weekend. Such a quiet night's sleep within thick walls of artist peace.

Great stay, great location. Super clean room and comfortable bed

This was my first time to NYC. For reference, solo female on business travel. I couldn’t have picked a better hotel! It is close to SO MANY AMAZING RESTAURANTS. Since I was there on business, this was a huge plus for me. But, if you’re a foodie and you like shopping, this place is in the perfect location. Also, TOTALLY WORTH upgrading to the balcony rooms. Staff is wonderful, super kind and helpful. OH- and shout out to the housekeeping folks who were so quick and great at their job! I’ll definitely stay here again.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Rose Hill neighborhood. Updated rooms. Great restaurant and terrace lounge.

The hotel was wonderful. I actually liked the texting feature too. It was clean and the staff was very nice. We had a great night.
- 5/5
This was an amazing NYC hotel experience. This hotel provides lots of little extras to make the experience feel special. They welcomed us at reception with champagne (and offered water as well); snacks in the room were complimentary; larger hotel room then many in NYC with a beautiful bathroom; and the concierge recommended a great coffeeshop across the street. A+, 10 out of 10, will stay again.
- 5/5
Would my topi choice again. Good hotel at a good location.

Housekeeping left a dirty cleaning cloth on the nightstand. No extra toilet paper and a full box of facial tissue. I called for them and waited for over 3 hours to get them. My worst hotel experience!
- 5/5
It was a great hote with amazing staff
- 2/5
New York City is a wonderful city to visit; however, when you experience terrible service at check-in, it dampens your overall experience at the hotel. The check-in staff was extremely rude, aggressive, and their language was inappropriate. As the face of the hotel, this matter needs to be addressed by management, which I have spoken to. Clients, be aware.

We come back to this hotel
- 5/5
We had a lengthy stay, 7 days in total, and we were so happy the entire time! The room was very comfortable, with great bedding. They refilled the minibar daily with waters, sodas and snacks. The staff were extra helpful and friendly, any possible question or issue they were on it instantly. We felt so welcome and well cared for. Extra special shout-outs to Bryan, Cindy, and Aaron. Every trip back to NYC, this will be our go-to stay!

I had reserved the hotel for one day prior to my arrival, as I was scheduled to land around 5AM on april 19th and go directly from the airport. The booking stated that payment would be made at the property. However, when I arrived, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled and that there were no rooms available. The front desk staff was extremely rude, and the manager was even worse—both were aggressive and made no effort whatsoever to resolve the situation. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Our stay at hotel park ave was nothing short of satisfying, upon checking in a young intern named Mahin Patel greeted us with the utmost profession, not only did he move our original room from the 7th Fl to the 12th which was facing the street instead of a wall lol he also grabbed us some complimentary glasses of champagne. The lobby was nicely decorated and well maintained, the room was extremely clean with an abstract minimalist touch. The Mirrors on the headboard and behind the tv are a great touch! We also got to take a peek at the seed library speakeasy along with their newly opened Golden Room rooftop which I highly recommend to visit during your stay

The biggest problem was that we got stuck in an elevator on the 15 floor on the way to the roof top bar. The alarm and call button did not work. Banged on the elevator door and no one heard us. Finally called 911. The door to the service side finally opened. The manager of the bar stated she was afraid someone was stuck since it hasn’t moved in awhile but hadn’t done anything about it. She also mentioned that the elevator gets overloaded when to many people on different floors push buttons at the same time. We went to sit to calm down and the waitress at the bar and our waitress told us it happens all the time. By the time we walked down the stairs to the lobby, there was a technician looking at another elevator that was also stuck on the 15th floor. The next morning we switched to a different hotel. We would have stayed since we were just on the 4th floor, but when you come down the stairs you exit to straight out side not the lobby. You also couldn’t enter the stairs from the lobby. You only could from outside which was locked. They refunded several fees and charges and did not charges us to check out early.

Our stay at the Park Ave turned out to be truly unforgettable. Although our arrival was a little disappointing at first — we were assigned a 4th‑floor room despite having paid extra for an upgrade and having requested a higher floor in advance — everything changed the following day. Once we mentioned the issue, the Hotel Manager and the entire staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making things right. They upgraded us to a beautiful suite and went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed throughout our stay. Thanks to their professionalism and warmth, what began as a small setback quickly transformed into a wonderful experience. Leaving was honestly difficult, and I already can’t wait to come back as soon as possible. Nulla, è tutto perfetto! vorrei vivere nella splendida Suite di Hotel Park Ave per sempre! :-)

Friendly staff. Clean and good air smell in the lobby and room….not musty. Good toiletries and room amenities. Nice touch on available umbrella and clothes steamer as well as the books to read. I will definitely recommend to my friends/family. I will stay here when I go back to NYC.

I had such a lovely time during my short stay. The hotel is in a very convenient area too, Times Square, Broadway, etc are only a short walk away from the Hotel. Also with a subway entrance a few steps away, making for a convenient way to get around if you don't feel like braving it on foot. I feel like I've seen all I wanted out of central Manhattan on my first visit, but if I were to go back, or if anyone wanted a Hotel recommendation, I would recommend Hotel Park Ave!

Angel and Maheen were a wonderful welcoming pair. In the city to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday, and they were so helpful in getting things set for her arrival and sent up a bottle of bubbly. Great stay. Absolutely would stay again.

I had stayed here before and it was amazing. We had breakfast included and it was great, not this time. It would cost $30 per person. Also they changed the hotel quite a bit since our last visit in 2023, seemed more of a downgrade than an upgrade. Staff was nice. They came to fix our mini fridge same evening that we got there because it was not working. They where fast. Clean, pretty, good location. We arrived and noticed a bit of a "smokers" smell in the room. We decided to keep it but was disappointed paying so much for it. They did offer to change us to new room but my daughter liked the room with smell better than the other one they offered because it was bigger, less light though. When they offered a different room we went to see it and by accident I left my hat there. Few hours later when I realized I left the hat in the other room I called front desk to ask if the cleaning crew found it and they said the threw it away, MY BRAND NEW HAT. They didn't even place it in lost and found, EXTREMELY disappointing. They got us a ride to the airport that said was a flat rate of $65 but then when I arrived they said it was $75 plus add tip, So Don't be fooled with Flat rate. I rather have transparency on what it was going to cost. Uber would have been cheaper. It was fine, just not impressed at that price tag.

The hotel is incredibly stylish and modern. Everything felt brand new, high-quality, and beautifully designed. The aesthetic of the place is definitely its strongest point. Housekeeping was disappointing; our room wasn't cleaned after the first night, and we had to ask reception twice the next day to get it done. Also, our room was quite dark as the windows faced a neighboring building. Most significantly, I got food poisoning after dining at the hotel restaurant on our first night, which was very upsetting.

Can’t beat the location of this hotel in nyc, an easy spot to get to any other part of the city. We splurged on a junior suite for our 3 day stay and it was great to get a spacious sitting area with windows on two sides, making for great light and views which is good bc The bedroom area was very tight with little room to walk around the bed, but the bed was very comfortable. We got the added benefit of a powder room in addition to a full bath! The breakfast downstairs was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because we had a problem with the lock on our door and found it open one day when we came back one afternoon once housekeeping had been. This was fixed immediately. We were also informed the latest check out allowed is 12:30, after that it’s $50/hour. But, they will store your luggage at no charge. There is no lobby to sit in but the downstairs restaurant is happy to let you work on your laptop and drink endless tea and water. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was delicious with a good selection. Good at the Mezzanine was also very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the 20th floor and got used to the studio size room as we’re not used to such a small room. The bathroom was excellent but the shower was confusing as strange as that sounds. There was a banging from the elevator we guessed and found annoying. Not sure I would include breakfast every morning as good as it was it adds $$ to the bill that can add up fast.

The hotel has two nice bars, one in the basement and one on the 15th floor that serve custom cocktails, and there is a very nice restaurant on the first floor. We had great breakfasts there and drinks one night. I recommend getting espresso/coffee somewhere else (theirs was not good). If you stay here, head to 30th and Madison and try Slate for lunch or breakfast, wonderful coffee, nice breakfasts and sandwiches/salads.
- 5/5
The room was tight on space with a King bed, but this is typical of most hotels I’ve stayed at in New York unless you pay more for larger rooms. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel felt new and clean and the location was convenient for me. The lobby and check-in is very minimal in terms of service. Unfortunately there was an annoying mechanical sound that persisted the whole time I was there but the engineer and manager did try to respond to it (both were very friendly). My biggest complaints are that the room was advertised as having a “desk” and “laptop workspace” but in reality there was a tiny occasional table, perhaps about 22” in diameter, with no sockets nearby. If you are a working professional, this will likely not be sufficient for you. Also, it didn’t occur to me to check the room description to verify that the room has a coffee machine because I haven’t stayed in a hotel without one in DECADES but this hotel does NOT provide in-room coffee. You have to pay to order room service or get dressed and venture outside. Also, they charge a $40 resort fee. For what, I really am not sure. Given the stripped down amenities/service of the hotel, I felt ripped off by that. I wanted to like this hotel but I would hesitate to recommend it because of these things.

Staff was great and very helpful . No problem if you needed anything extra towels, cab etc. Location was good when in NYC you walk everywhere . Daughter loved the double showerheads . Would have liked to have seen the roof bar but it wasn't opened yet. Didn't like the room lighting . Couldn't turn on just one light everything went on or off at once. Seems like a design fail. Had an inside room its was a little noisy with the morning trucks and trash cans.

Great staff, excellent location and very pet friendly. Will stay there again.
- 5/5
Of course there were tons of shops near by including convenience stores like Walgreens and CVS. Great speakeasy on site!
- 5/5
The staff were extremely professional and accommodating. The room was exceptionally clean and the gym was state of the art.
- 5/5
Great place! Central location and loved the restaurant on site. Had great food and cocktails. Would absolutely stay again!
- 5/5
An exceptional experience! The staff, accommodations, and overall atmosphere were all top-notch.
- 4/5
Overall the trip was fine
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay. Unique lobby with registration around beautiful sculptured table with monitors and easy del check in attendants there too and were wonderful as well. Very accommodating. Of all the places we’ve stayed in manhattan this is where I would return to. Nice reception as mentioned and superior room. Loved the shower with multiple heads including the rain shower. We don’t usually follow any brand but by reviews and proximity to our reason for being there. Was walkable to Times Square and Penn station. Obviously, we highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
My second stay here and both visits have were excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The Park Rose restaurant and Seed library are wonderful additions to this hotel experience. Angel, Brian, Anthony, JoAnna and Terrell provided excellent customer care.
- 4/5
The rooms are beautiful. The only negative comments that my room has not been cleaned two days in row
- 5/5
A couple of days it wasn’t made properly
- 4/5
Only issue was the check-in. I had done this online but when I arrived $400 was requested from my account which wasnt mention in the process or by the person on reception. Making that clearer would be helpful. Also something to make a hot drink in the room would have been appreciated.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful time at hotel Park Avenue. All the staffs specially Bryan and James went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The area is a 10. I recommend Hotel Park Avenue as one of the best in the erea. Thank you Bryan and all the staffs.
- 5/5
Great location, clean, room felt bigger than some nyc hotels
- 5/5
The staff was incredible, all around.
- 5/5
Staff is very responsive to everything ! I took a long time to decide where we would stay and we will absolutely stay here again !! 10/10 !!!

.
- 5/5
Had great amenities, heated floors, beautiful settings, balcony with a beautiful view. Room was small, but was unique and modern.
- 5/5
Great Hotel! Great location!
- 5/5
Check in was fast and easy. Friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely book another room at Hotel Park Ave NYC. Overall stay was wonderful.
- 4/5
Room was clean but basic. As hotel had computer monitor for self check in and check out, not a lot of interaction with staff.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel! Excellent customer sevrice. Would recommend to everyone.
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional! The staff was great. The room was incredible. Cleanest and modern rooms you can find in NYC. The restaurant on site is also beautiful. Just an overall great stay. We will be back!
- 4/5
There is no full fledge room service which mattered as I was stuck there during the snowstorm
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was great. Only complain Lobby wasn't accommodating no where to sit.
- 5/5
Room was clean and super comfy, the staff very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, great atmosphere and amenities. Prime location for exploring the city.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean rooms.
- 4/5
Great clean spacious room. Safe location. Friendly, helpful staff! Wonderful bed and a peaceful nights sleep.
- 3/5
However, the room itself was a bit of a disappointment in terms of functionality. There was no microwave, coffee machine, or tea kettle, which are basics I’ve come to expect. I also found it frustrating that I had to call down to request that my room be tidied, rather than it being part of the standard service. It’s a beautiful property with a great team, but the guest experience would be much better if they provided standard room equipment and more proactive housekeeping.
- 1/5
I alerted the front desk. They said they would take care of it. 5 days lated despite 2 dditional requests to fix. it has not been done. I would not recommend staying here. for reference, I have never in my liffe submitted a negative review online for anything, so me complaining is not normal. I would never unless it was increadibly egregious.
- 4/5
Location was good, clean room and friendly staffs. Only thing was no room service for food. Other than that, everything was really nice
- 5/5
Clean room and nice staff
- 5/5
Clean room, amenities, customer service
- 4/5
All was very pleasant! All reception and management very kind & accommodating through out my stay! Clean & tidy! One member of staff from behind the bar left me and my sister very furious and unsettled, which was addressed his tone and behaviour towards me in front of other guests was diabolical. I'm sharing this because I wouldn't like this to happen to any other person Staying at the hotel.
- 1/5
However, service is just as important as appearance, and unfortunately that’s where my experience fell short. One of the first things I noticed was the lack of basic guest accommodations. There was no refreshment area, no tea station, and no communal microwave — and there wasn’t even a microwave in the rooms. That’s a pretty standard amenity in many hotels, especially for guests who may have leftovers or simple food items. After discovering there was no microwave in my room, I went downstairs and politely asked if there was a communal microwave available. The office manager, Nibras, asked me, “What did you have?” — which felt unnecessary. I told him I had pizza. He then proceeded to tell me, in a sarcastic tone, a story about how one time his pizza got cold and he had to “imagine it was hot” and eat it anyway. He followed that by saying, “No, we don’t have a microwave.” The interaction was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. As a paying guest, I wasn’t looking for commentary, just a simple yes or no. Hospitality requires basic courtesy, and that interaction lacked it entirely. Due to this treatment and the overall feeling of not being valued as a guest, I chose to check out a night early.
- 5/5
Our room was clean but the bedding had a lot of fake stains in the tucked areas. Besides that everything was very clean and we loved the staff! They were helpful and very friendly
- 5/5
The room was perfect! Clean, spacious and comfy. We had a great view of the Empire State Building which was in red for Valentine’s Day. The front desk staff were helpful checking in and out. Very friendly. I love the coziness of the lobby. I highly recommend staying here for a clean and comfortable stay with a great location
- 4/5
Also shower's not that hot but otherwise great.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay, hotel was cleaned, bed comfortable, easy checking in and out, no complaints here
- 5/5
All great
- 5/5
The staff was great. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The only thing is that there is very little closet space. They should add at least a couple of dressers with drawers. But everything else is excellent.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and it was cleaned and drinks were filled everyday. The staff were welcoming and the location was excellent. We were within walking distance of The Empire State Building, Times Square was 25 mins walk and plenty of subway close by. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean room. The location is very convenient.
- 5/5
Loved this hotel! The staff were attentive and very accommodating. Spacious and clean Loved everything about this hotel
- 5/5
Easy online checking but very helpful to have to help you out
- 5/5
The room was great and the bed was so comfortable!! I really enjoyed my 5 night stay here.
- 3/5
Room small, no coffee maker, no bell hop to help with luggage
- 5/5
The best hotel in NYC
- 5/5
Excellent rooms and really great staff
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay in NYC
- 3/5
The hotel is in a great location, the restaurant was good but the reception staff during the day were really over the top rude it was almost like in a movie (!) I travel a lot in New York but also internationally and this was the only hotel where I received such an incredibly rude reception. I almost thought it was some kind of gimmick because of the option to check in electronically when you enter. I read reviews but now I understood what they mean. Totally and unnecessarily rude.
- 5/5
The room was clean and well appointed. Very easy check and check out. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
What a wonderful find! This property maybe under the radar but it certainly is a stunning hotel and reasonably priced. Impeccable service both by hotel and in house restaurant. And even with resort fees, they make it worthwhile by providing free water and snacks daily.it made a lot of difference . We checked out feeling we were not short changed by any means ( which most hotels tnese days make you feel with resort fees) i hope all hotels will take a look what Hotel Park Ave does that makes them a true star! Special shout out to Byron for a wonderful, efficient service along with the front desk team.
- 5/5
Outstanding and perfect location
- 5/5
Beautiful room, fluffy pillows, great shower and water pressure. Appreciated the free waters and sodas in the mini fridge.

Staff was great. Room was clean nice art work

- 5/5
The staff at the front desk are amazing! They greeted us with champagne or water, we went with the champagne! Lol :) when the airport was closed down due to extreme snow, we extended our stay and they made sure that we could stay in the same room! The room is a 10+ especially for such a low price in a great neighborhood so close to everything, Times Square where we saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child starring Tom Felton, the Harry Potter Store, restaurants, including the delicious restaurant here in the hotel! They had our refrigerator filled with premium quality, bottled water, Coke, and Diet Coke, & complementary chips. The room is clean, modern, updated beyond the amenities in my own home! We will be staying here again and again with each trip to New York City!!
- 4/5
The bed could have been a little softer, and the bathroom still needs some renovating. Could have used some snacks in the mini fridge and the heating system was old and made a loud sound when the heat was on.
- 5/5
Clean and modern hotel, in great location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Spotless. Very luxurious vibe to nicely sized room.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel staff was great and the restaurant was really nice.
- 5/5
Yes and yes. Everything was great!
- 5/5
Very clean room . Not noisy even though it was by the elevator. Hot water was hot and heat worked well. Bed was comfortable. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Park rose was great for dinner - had the spicy rigatoni and pizza .... both very good!
- 5/5
Fantastic staff, great room. Could potentially use a dehumidifier I'd say, just gets super dry in cold weather
- 0.5/5
The room was very cold. The thermostat in the room did nothing, or maybe the thermostat was just for show. The shower water was also lukewarm, other hotels have hot showers. There was a lot of honking noise from the street, especially in morning 6 to 9. Similarly there was a lot of door slamming noise in the morning. If you leave the shower door open, it auto closes with a loud bang. I think that's what it was. The hotel has no reception area, just check-in kiosks and elevators.

The hotel itself is such a beautiful hotel in a prime location, my room was spacious and well decorated, but the STAFF MADE IT AMAZING!!!! Evan, Brian, and there was an overnight black gentleman who wears glasses, and a beautiful young black woman who was from NY that made our trip AMAZING!!! They made us feel like family and made my best friend's birthday trip unforgettable! They treated us with such care and compassion, provided us with great recommendations, and made us feel like we were right at home, but a more glamorous home! All of the staff was great and never missed a beat! We had such a phenomenal time that we extended our trip a extra night lol! I cannot brag on the staff enough!!!! We will be back and will continue to recommend you all and PLEASE Continue to take care of the above mentioned staff so they never leave! They need a nice raise and bonus because they are creating lifelong guests! Now the location like I said is prime! You are walking distance from several tourist attractions (time square, empire state building, koreatown) and are a quick bike ride away from Soho! I also biked to central park and the met which was great but a bit more of a workout than the other locations. You have an endless supply of train entrances around the hotel to get to other boroughs, and its also a easily accesible spot for ubers to pick you up. There are so many great bars, restaurants, parks, and club within 10-15 minutes of the hotel. We had a BLAST at Obvio which is walking distance and had a great dinner at Bras s. Thank you all for giving us such a great and warm experience, our hotel and the staff literally made this trip so unforgettable and I hope each of you read this and know that you helped these southern girls have a fabulous girl trip and we are so thankful! Thank you all for all of the love and care you poured into us!
- 5/5
Favorite place to stay out of the city fuss. Lovely neighborhood, walking distance to everything. Perfect new room designs, loved the facelift since my last stay. -
- 3.5/5
Convenient location and reasonable price. Bed was not particularly comfortable. Outlet in bathroom did not work.
- 5/5
Worked great for our trip. Subway nearby. Walkable
- 1/5
The front desk staff often came across as rude and had an attitude, which made interactions uncomfortable. The check-in and check-out processes are different from standard hotels, but once you understand them, they are manageable. Room sizes are quite small, but for the price and location, that is acceptable. However, cleanliness was below expectations. The blanket had yellow stains that looked like sweat from a previous guest, which was unpleasant. Bathroom cleanliness was okay, but not exceptional. The shampoo and toiletry pumps were extremely cheap and barely worked, which was frustrating. What bothered me the most was the extra charge added without providing a receipt. When I reached out, the hotel was not helpful in resolving the issue. A week later, they claimed they could now send a receipt but couldn’t earlier because I booked through Expedia. This explanation does not make sense to me, as I have been using Expedia for a long time and know this is not true. I am also almost certain that I confirmed my contact information at the front desk during check-in. For the price and location, some compromises are expected, but lack of transparency in charges and poor customer service are not acceptable.

didn't know it when we first

Humidifier in the room option would be pretty nice. It just gets really dry in the winter

Had a great visit at Hotel Park Ave! Clean and cozy room, quiet. I would’ve appreciated a more engaged greeting when checking in and out. Felt a bit disconnected. Also tried to get my food brought up to my room but the person who’d do that was also doing front desk? Hopefully that was a fluke and the front desk has more than one person working at a time. It was only 6pm I’m sure that’s stressful for the employees and inconvenient for the visitors.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel friendly staff free champagne!!! Love it close to Times Square will definitely come back
- 5/5
Thank you for the gorgeous view! Wont stay anywhere else when I come to NYC. Alan provided us with a hot water boiler and coffee mugs for our room, great service!
- 5/5
Nice area. Everything is right around the corner
- 5/5
Room was great
- 5/5
Easy to check in online, very clean, daily cleaning, convenient location close to the metro
- 5/5
Great room and spotless great staff
- 5/5
The room was spacious, modern and very clean. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.
- 5/5
It was a wen wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Everything was spotless! Champagne upon arrival was a nice touch
- 5/5
The room was very clean and cozy, and we enjoyed the complimentary snacks and tote. The staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. They offered us water and champagne at check-in. The check-in process was also very quick and painless. The hotel is located in a perfect location with the train down the block, and 34th street a few blocks away. I will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel in great location!
- 5/5
this hotel was so clean and the stuff was so nice! will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and room was clean! Great balcony view from the top floor
- 3/5
Clean room and quick check in process but no casting for tv watch. Had multiple issues with the tv so it sucked to come back to the hotel at the end of the night to lay back and not be able to enjoy watching tv. For the price I paid I’d say I should’ve been able to watch tv, smh. Also the guy that was in the lobby for my checkout was sarcastic and annoying, everyone else I came across was great including the engineer they sent up to my room to try and fix the tv. It was alright.
- 5/5
Room was great. Good location and excellent staff.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very welcoming/friendly staff.
- 5/5
Not relevant
- 5/5
Lobby was a bit jammy, they need the bar/restaurant to be 24/hrs to accommodate no actual lobby.
- 1/5
I strongly disagree with the extra charge applied without any prior notice from Expedia or the hotel. I repeatedly requested an explanation for this charge, but the staff never responded. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and very dishonest.
- 5/5
Otherwise, hotel was clean and staff was friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
We had a great stay!
- 4/5
But it’s the staff ( unfortunately I didn’t get his name) that made a big difference. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
This couldn't have been a more a lovely stay the weekend before Christmas in NYC. The staff were so kind at check in and check out. The room was gorgeous our view was great and by some miracle, we got on street parking for free about 100 feet from the hotel. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Park Rose and the 12 pm check out is chef's kiss. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a romantic little weekend.

- 5/5
The suite was excellent! The location of the hotel was great too as well as the customer service.
- 5/5
The place was great. Super accommodating staff. Sparkling wine on check-in, candy jars. Flexible check-in was available. Clean room. Stocked mini fridge that was free.

Great hotel and stay!
- 4/5
Clean room with fun decor. Hot water in shower wasn’t as hot as desired. Friendly staff. Would totally stay here again!
- 5/5
Hotel was clean, great location, gorgeous view from the balcony. Close to everything. Room was amazing & staff especially Angel went above & beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We love Angel.
- 5/5
Comfortable room and friendly staff. Loved it.
- 2/5
Several crazy guests cause a disruption the second time my family stayed there. My wife complained and they did nothing. The hallways have been improved, but the rooms still scream 1988. The linens are an abomination, scratchy and stained. The new management has ZERO clue how to treat guests. They know nothing of cultivating relationship with repeat visitors! That what you get from a kiosk, zero personality. The Reno is being done on the cheap and rooftop has been close for almost a year with no sign of reopening! This hotel is now DEAD TO ME! For the money there’s a hundred better places to stay!
- 5/5
The room was very clean, modern and spacious
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
I highly recommend this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and when I requested an extra blanket, it was delivered immediately. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Room was a good size, staff was friendly, contactless check in was great, bar was great
- 5/5
The Hotel Park Ave NYC is a great place to stay. It’s much more quiet than Times Square. It’s an easy walk to Times Square if you’re in the mood. I stayed with my daughters a few day’s before Christmas so it was a bit pricey. Easy check in/out, pleasant staff, and plenty of places to eat nearby. I haven’t had a bad stay in Manhattan thus far & I visit often.
- 5/5
Nice stay for the price. Less congested area.

- 5/5
Great experience, the room is so much fun, the staff is also great!
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Excellent 1 night stay! Away from the madness of Time Square but well within walking distance (20-23 min stroll). Front desk folks were very professional and helpful. Thank you!
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice and professional. The room was great. We did not eat at the restaurant, so I can't comment on that
- 4/5
Only thing keeping from 5 star review was the check in situation. 4 touch screens for multiple parties to check into the hotel at the same time. Great in theory, however, was not able to pull my reservation up on the touch screen during check in or check out. Just need to work out the bugs with check in and would be five stars. All in all, great stay and would recommend.
- 3/5
Okay self service hotel. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Great hotel, very clean, bathrooms were very nice, bed was very nice and comfy, complimentary waters and cokes are always great too! Definitely would stay here again
- 5/5
Great location and good room!
- 5/5
Checkin was quick and efficient. Love that I was able to check in days ahead of time and room was ready early. Room was beautiful and modern. Great view. Great location. Only had coffee in the restaurant but it was delicious. Staff was kind and courteous.
- 5/5
Love this property.
- 5/5
I was nicely surprised that it is a new hotel and at a great price.

- 5/5
Hotel is elegant and trendy and the bed and room were super cozy. The staff were friendly and provided wonderful recommendations. Will definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Room was small but clean. I liked the heat floor in the bathroom. I just thought when I booked on here I wasn’t going to be charged a hotel fee and I was charged 40 per day. That was my only complaint otherwise everything was great.
- 4/5
Clean and professional
- 5/5
Rooms were a little smaller the we are used to but I extremely nice. They were perfect for the amount of time we stayed in them. Very clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Very nice room; management staff very helpful
- 2/5
the room staff amenities were all great. the only reason it gets a second star. they took 100$ per room for accodentals, i never got this back. additionally they charged each room a random amount.. 66$ and 220$ and i cant get them on the phone to refund anything now
- 5/5
The check-in experience was superb: very easy process helped by very courteous staff. We were even offered a glass of champagne. The room was very well designed with fun modern art and very quiet. The bathroom modern and spacious. It is the little thoughtful design choices that make all the difference: outlets where they need to be, places to hang coats and hats, an umbrella for use. The space is a joy.
- 5/5
Clean spacious rooms with friendly service. Very convenient location within walking distance to many hot spots. No coffee pots in the rooms which was a bit inconvenient but there is a restaurant in the lobby.
- 3/5
Very nice hotel and room. Sadly, one issue prevents me from going back and/or recommending this place to friends. The room was located next to some malfunctioning machinery, so there was a constant unpleasant noise. Like sleeping on an airplane (but with better beds). We mentioned it, but it did not get sorted.
- 5/5
The room was spacious enough for 2 of us. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful with 24 hour availability.
- 5/5
Clean and new. Great soap and easy checkin-out
- 5/5
The only small downside was that after walking outside on cold evenings, we were hoping for a hot shower, but the water was only lukewarm. It would be nice if it were hotter 😃 Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and left with great impressions of our stay. We would be happy to come back again.
- 1/5
The actual stay was fine and the room was nice. However, I had prepaid the entire stay and after I noticed an additional charge of almost half the price of the total stay. Attempts to contact the hotel were not successful and I was never told of any additional charges upon checkin. I had read previous reviews of this hotel that also found charges on their statements after checkout so I made sure to take videos, but for the additional charges alone this is not worth the stay.
- 3/5
Room was beautiful but both TVs in my room were not working and that couldn’t be fixed, front desk never called me to attempt to remedy the situation and this morning when I told someone at the front desk the answer was just “oh well, we’re sorry”. There are many hotel options in manhattan so customer service is key to differentiate yourself. When you book a very nice room you want everything to be working.
- 4/5
The room was spotless and the staff was welcoming
- 5/5
Only negative was no coffee in the room
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, great location -close to a lot of the sights
- 4/5
Location is great and within a 20min walk to pretty much everywhere in mid city. Room was a little small with multiple large suit cases, but it’s NYC so understandable. Room was quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. Would rate it higher but had issue with room being double charged which held up my money for the week.
- 5/5

Excellent all the way around. Clean, spacious room with added touches like poem books and a refrigerator. The staff was supper helpful. The restaurant was delightful and delicious food.
- 5/5
Great location. Nice hotel.
- 5/5
First trip for my youngest child to NYC and our stay at Hotel Park Avenue was wonderful. Dosey at check-in was wonderful and took care of us especially when the heater in our room seem to not work. We will look to stay here again on another trip. Thank you!
- 5/5
We loved this hotel! It was so clean, easy to check in, restaurant right downstairs. It was perfect !
- 5/5
The room was super cute and relatively spacious for NYC. There were some little touches that made it extra nice like soda and water in the fridge. Great views.
- 3/5
Staff was wonderful and helpful. Problem with maintenance in room was no hot water in shower. Bathroom door would separate from the wall at bottom creating a gap and providing little privacy
- 5/5
Excellent

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com and paid for my stay at the time of booking. Unfortunately the hotel seems to have forgotten (or ignored) this and has decided to charge me again for my stay even though this room was fully prepaid. From speaking with their reception it was suggested that this may be a known issue for guests booking through these sites. Although the hotel knows how to put multiple charges on my credit card, they seem to have forgotten how to use their email as I have yet to receive any communication or bills from the hotel for all of these extra charges. Even reception were confused when I showed them my receipt from Hotels.com showing that I had paid for the hotel. As for the room itself, it is spacious and clean although it was a little disappointing that they didn't provide any robes/slippers or a coffee machine for guests. The hotel is walkable to a lot of the major sites and is very close to the 33rd St subway station although the station itself is not fully accessible so not for those with a lot of luggage or wheelchairs. The area around the hotel is fairly quiet and the hotel staff were generally very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately as the hotel has overcharged me and is not responding to any of my emails or Hotels.com attempts at contact I cannot recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
- 4/5
Staff is great!

Hotel room is spacious for NYC, cute decor, and great location. We stayed for 3 nights and they never came to clean the room.

Fave hotel to stay at in NYC

Nice place and very quiet
- 5/5
Great staff & service, bar & restaurant excellent, perfect mid town location. good size room.
- 3/5
Overall decent except we had maggots in the shower & blood stains on our bedspread. We contacted management that said they would look into it.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and well-appointed, the bathroom was spacious and the heated floors were a nice touch! The staff were attentive and helpful and the residential location was perfect!
- 3/5
staff were very sweet and kind, my only concern is the bathroom shower could be cleaned up better after each guest and also not sure if the body wash bottles are reused and refilled but i did see a piece of someone’s hair in the bottle… felt like that was unsanitary so thankfully I had brought my own body wash from home. Other than that the room set up was very nice and the complimentary drinks were sweet and the balcony suite was a great experience to stay in.
- 5/5
nice place, very helpful staff
- 5/5
Staff were amazing and helpful. Room was beautiful. Overall, 10/10 stay.

Cute and very well run boutique hotel. Beautiful decor, excellent service and a really nice restaurant. We loved that it was a 15 minute walk to everything but it still felt quiet. Will definitely return.

The hotel is very cute and modern. Staff was so friendly and kind to me and my kids. Hotel is in great conditions and cute stuff in the rooms. Loved the vibe and feel of the hotel, restaurant and speakeasy. Will be back!
- 4/5
Room was clean but small. Water was offered at check in and available in the room. Staff were kind and helpful. Hidden extra fee upon checkout that was not disclosed in the booking anywhere. This was waived when pointed out but definitely an issue.

Excellent stay at Hotel Park Ave NYC. Our room on the 20th floor offered a great view, the complimentary bottled water was a nice touch, and staff were consistently friendly. We requested extra towels and they arrived within a few hours. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience, well worth the 5-star rating.
- 5/5
The restaurant was great. Terrell, the manager and his staff wonderful service. The hotel and restaurant staff is what hospitality is all about.
- 5/5
The room is beautiful. Am happy that i stayed here ❤️
- 5/5
This was our first stay at Hotel Park Ave NYC and we loved everything about it starting from the effortless check-in system and key pick-up! The location is fabulous, the holiday reduced rate was amazing, the room was clean, colorful (wonderful artwork on the walls), and cozy! The king bed was extremely comfortable too. We really appreciated the modern and minimalist decor, the bathroom was also shiny and spotless with aesthetically appealing fixtures. The beautiful books about New York were a bonus, as was the huge television with multiple movie channels. Most incredible were the waters and sodas in the mini-bar which was actually complimentary ...that was a first for us at any hotel. We didn't have a chance to visit the bar or restaurant this time, but we will definitely be back soon, thank you for everything!
- 5/5
This hotel is an absolute gem! Nicely renovated rooms that are pretty spacious considering it’s in Manhattan! The heated floors in the bathroom are a very nice touch
- 5/5
Yes the room was clean. Staff were courteous.
- 5/5
Excellent daily housekeeping, beautiful huge bathrooms, complimentary drinks. Nice and attentive staff. Great location. Would definitely come back.
- 5/5
Location, cleanliness, hospitality was all a 10/10. Would stay there again!
- 4/5
I have to keep putting towels over the overflowing water, and it even starts to smell.
- 5/5
Clean room. helpful staff.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and modern, staff were friendly and always helpful, and the amenities provided were great. The hotel locations is also very convenient for getting around the city.
- 5/5
The beds were very comfortable. The staff was excellent assisting with When I requested 2 bottles of drinking water they sent someone to our room with 4 which is complimentary.
- 5/5
It was clean, safe, and everyone was friendly.

This was an amazing hotel..the staff was superb from the reception to restaurant employee service!

Great staff and high design standard throughout. The room was spotless!

Everything was great staff was very welcoming and rooms were clean only issue was when we would shower water would spill out
- 1/5
Paid in FULL on Expedia, then the hotel charged us on checkout $45.90 - without telling us - in “hotel fees”. I saw this charge and contacted the manager to have it removed. I was told no, call Expedia about this. The clerk actually raised her voice at me. Awful experience - it’s not about money, but about principle, and how disrespectful the staff was. Terrible.
- 5/5
Beautiful, excellent service, location, location, location.
- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was great, from the helpful and friendly staff to the comfy room…the location was perfect for our needs, especially! We will stay there again; thank you!
- 5/5
Beautiful room, very comfortable, gorgeous new restaurant connected to hotel, friendly prompt and helpful service. Only downsides were that we paid for breakfast and it was just coffee and a pastry, it would be nice if they had a microwave because so many places you would eat there would be leftovers and nowhere to warm them up, and be sure to have a credit card available to charge at least 100 a night you are staying there. My card was overcharged at first but they said it will be fixed and returned.
- 5/5
Very helpful and friendly staff. We super appreciate the early check in upon arrival as well. We’ll definitely be back!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Very,very clean hotel!!
- 4/5
Overall the stay was great. It was in a nice location and the staff were all very polite. The room was clean with nice amenities. However I do have one complaint, I requested a lint roller from the front desk. The let me know they had one and would send it to my room. About two hours went by and I reached out again due to not receiving it yet. About five minutes after reaching back out an employee came to the room opened the door where my friend and I were getting dressed and ready. Never did he knock before coming in the room. He literally opened the card locked door and came into the room unannounced. I had bottoms on but only a bra on top. That was not ok.
- 5/5
Spacious room and bathroom
- 5/5
The room was clean and staff was helpful. We had a great stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and amazingly clean. The housekeeper serviced our room each day upon request and she did a great job. We also ate at the restaurant and it was delicious.
- 5/5
Wonderful room and service
- 5/5
Clean, spacious, great customer service. I loved every part of the room. It had everything I needed in case I didn’t bring my own. The layout I am in love with this hotel and I will stay again for sure my next trip to NY. Everything was close in distance to walk and enjoy the NY life.
- 4/5
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and it's located in a great location. All staff were nice and pleasant, but most of them did not go above and beyond. Something seemed to be lacking a little bit. I enjoyed the complimentary water, soda, and chips in my room. I liked that the hotel is thoughtful too have an umbrella and cloth tote bag available for guests to use. I did not get to check out the speakeasy in the basement, but it sounds like a cool idea. In ny first room, I was never able to get through to the front desk or the restaurant by phone, even though I called numerous times. I ended up going downstairs in person to get my questions answered. In the 2nd room, my phone did not work at all. I had tea and garlic bread from the hotel restaurant the first night, which was tasty. I planned to try the hotel breakfast, but ended up ordering delivery. One thing that did deter me, is that it wasnt clear to me of the restaurant offered room service. Initially I wanted to eat downstairs, but preferred to eat in my room and just enjoy my solo time since I was having a bout of anxiety. There wasn't a menu for the restaurant in the room either and I could not fins the breakfast menu on the website. The shower construction causes the whole floor to get soaked, which sucks and is annoying to clean up.
- 5/5
The staff was so kind and thoughtful. I especially enjoyed the gift in the room. They did not complicate anything, even when I needed to switch rooms. They answered the phone promptly and truly made my stay effortless, as well as my colleague’s. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, great location
- 5/5
Very pleased with the hotel and room. The hotel is very centrally, located and close to two subway stations. Several coffee shops nearby. The lighting in the bathroom could be better other than that very pleased. Will definitely stay again and recommend.
- 5/5
Great experience, would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The check-in process was so smooth, and our balcony room was an absolute 10/10!
- 5/5
And good location
- 5/5
Excellent hotel
- 5/5
I had to think long and hard for anything that could be improved. The checkout system needs to refund automatically - but the staff helped me sort through that at 3AM without holding me up. The HVAC system was on the loud side, but had good ventilation, which can be a problem in these large buildings.
- 5/5
The breakfast it was good Miriam served are breakfast great customer service
- 4/5
Bathroom sink area was not cleaned well. Staff was accommodating in moving from a very noisy room to a quieter
- 4/5
Yes, you should consider netflix, prime tv
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Location is great to get around. You’re close to the 6. The room with the double bed is kinda small but if you’re explore the city doesn’t matter. The bathroom and shower is amazing. The rainfall shower is amazing after a long day. Beds are very firm, not my favorite since I like a soft bed. If you get room 1808 the view of The Empire State Building is amazing.
- 5/5
I did not have breakfast.
- 5/5
All the above and it was quiet and comfortable. Check in was very good and well designed. The desk folks were very helpful
- 5/5
Will stay here again
- 5/5
Modern, comfortable, clean.

Fantastic! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The room was amazing. Great decor! Highly recommend for so many reasons.

There was no balcony. Whej i asked. I was told the hotel doesnt have rooms with a balcony. How can i get a refund.

The staff were extremely helpful and nice. They upgraded our room for a fantastic studio. Room clean .
- 4/5
Rooms were decent for NYC.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Nice sized rooms, in a convenient part of manhattan.
- 5/5
Clean, good Gym
- 5/5
Clean room and easy self checkin. Very pleased.
- 1/5
The management of this hotel is utterly deplorable. I booked a room through Expedia and paid in full, yet the hotel still charged a substantial amount to the credit card I used at check-in after I checked out. I’ve tried contacting the hotel multiple times—phone calls don’t go through, and emails go unanswered! Is this place running a scam?!
- 5/5
Modern rooms and great art.
- 4/5
In general very good. A few details, like coffee maker, space for luggage and cold and hot water in shower. Too hard to get a medium warm water. Thanks.
- 2/5
Unhelpful staff, no accountability from management, and a restaurant that’s rarely open. Cute rooms aren’t worth the frustration — skip this hotel.
- 5/5
Easily new favorite hotel. Amazing location, amazing staff, amazing spacious rooms, very pleased with my stay here :)
- 5/5
Great location and room as well.
- 5/5
The room was in a great area. The only bad part is bar restaurant and terrace were not able to be used during our time there.
- 1/5
The restaurant was absolutely amazing - food and service quality were superb There was no hot water in the shower - water was luke warm. The WiFi connectivity was off and on at best. 45$ a day resort fees and really no amenities to support the “resort,” tag line. I was surprised to find out there were resort fees and didn’t realize I was spending an additional 90$ on my two nights terrace is unavailable. There was also no working minibar. I’d prefer a refund on my resort fees and maybe slanting. Towards the no hot water
- 5/5
The property was great! We will definitely stay there again,
- 3/5
The air conditioning was so loud that sleeping was impossible, when switched off, the room became too hot too quickly. The restaurant was being refurbished so the breakfast was tokens to get two objects from the local deli across the road, not really ideal for a 4 star hotel. On check in a $100 per night 'breakage fee' was sprung upon us. As we were there for 7 nights, this was a sizeable fee.
- 5/5
The staff (especially Bryan, Evan, and Alan) were so helpful, fun, and kind. The room was comfortable, well-stocked, and super clean. Check-in was easy. My pug, Nugget, and will definitely be back ♥️
- 3/5
Balcony was amazing. Room amazing. Views fantastic. No hot drink facilities in the room. Breakfast was not continental, voucher for across the road on the first day, then had a hot drink and a croissant the next 3 days, not at all what was advertised, we chose this hotel for the location and the fact it had breakfast, service extremely slow too. Also self check in
- 5/5
One of the biggest nyc rooms you can find at this price! The bathroom was huge and the rooms felt fresh and clean and beautifully styled. A block from the 6 in either direction, and jsut down the street from Grand Central. A gem of a hotel!
- 5/5
The staff, Angel and Jess_ were friendly and helpful. Loved the complimentary glass of champagne and artwork in the lobby. The room was clean and modern. Loved the full length mirror on the bathroom door and glass shower. Loved the balcony overlooking Park Avenue. Quiet though because of the sound proof black out curtains. There are bikes you can check out, which I would definitely do next time. Unfortunately the phone didn't work to order room service in the morning and parking is non-existent unless your a commercial vehicle but I did find a garage on SpotHero for $15.00 all day, three blocks away; Lawrence Garage. If money isn't a concern, they have a valet. The Edge and Empire State Building are walking distance and I took a bus, Q15 one block away that took me to the Southport Seaport, and Brooklyn Bridge. Once again, it was a good experience and I will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great new hotel in a convenient location. So quiet for sleeping!
- 1/5
Find out the hotel charges $45.90 Hotel Fee not mentioned in the Expedia post when booking the hotel. Paid in Full and when checked in, they required a credit card for $100.00 just in case for incidentals. No mention of Hotel Fee which is dishonest and deceptive. Hotel fee for What? Using the elevator??? Deceptive!!
- 3/5
No way the room was 360 square feet. One hook in bathroom for a double occupancy room. Pillows felt like rocks
- 5/5
The place was perfect!
- 4/5
Very nice hotel for price point. Great location. Only issue was that I was given a regular (small!!) room, when I’d booked a suite with balcony. I was told that Expedia offered a room that doesn’t exist, however the welcome paper mentioned suites being newly opened & I overheard hotel staff telling another guest that their suite with balcony was almost ready!
- 5/5
Very clean room.
- 5/5
Storms knocked out the AC unit but hotel staff offered a portable AC unit for the night. Will be back again. Conveniently located.
- 4/5
Clean room with some good amenities like a clothes steamer and umbrella for use during your stay. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were fine, generally helpful. However, we had a very noisy neighbour one night which they did nothing about - that was quite frustrating. Great location for walking around and getting on the subway.
- 5/5
Truly the best NYC hotel experience I have ever had, and I’m in the NOMAD neighborhood frequently. Clean, cozy, the rooms are SO cute and chic, and the staff could NOT have been nicer. First time I’ve ever felt compelled to write a review!
- 4/5
Staff people were great.
- 1/5
Got the wrong room. A/C didn't work
- 5/5
Will come back
- 3/5
When I arrived to my room the first day, I was suppose to have a bottle of rose sent up on arrival. Which I paid for extra in a package. Never got it, had to call them 3 times to get it sent up. Took over 2 hours and it was the wrong bottle. The next day the AC unit was shut down. Never was I informed. Had to call. Told us to open up a window and hopefully it will be back on the next day. Never was fixed. They were doing construction right below our room super early in the morning for hours. Super loud and could not even sleep. Anytime I would have to call down for something to be brought up it would take hours to come. There were so many disappointing things at this hotel.
- 3/5
Breakfast is included, but it’s not served inside the hotel. Instead, guests receive a daily voucher for a café across the street, where you can choose two items, such as a coffee and a sandwich. It’s a modest breakfast, but it gets the job done. Although the building has more than 15 floors, the hotel feels relatively small. It appears to have undergone some renovations, but many features still seem outdated. It’s not a modern hotel. In our case, the first room had damaged walls and bathroom fixtures, and the air conditioning didn’t work despite several attempts to fix it. We were eventually moved to another room, but the shower there flooded the entire bathroom every time it was used, which was quite chaotic. We also had issues with housekeeping. On three separate days, our room was not cleaned, and it seems the staff simply forgot about it. This added to the overall impression of disorganization and lack of attention to detail. Not all front desk staff were friendly or welcoming. However, Bryan and Allen were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, and Evan Lyons was also attentive and professional. Their support made a noticeable difference. Overall, I would consider this a three-star hotel rather than four stars.
- 4/5
Great location, slightly unexpected request for 500 dollar security deposit at check in could have been flagged more clearly.
- 1/5
There was no breakfast for which we paid and is described as full breakfast. There is no restaurant, no rooftop terrace. There is construction going on. Hotel imposes extra charges for no reason even after you checked out. Room infrastruktury with mosquitos. Hairdryer caused an electro shock. We got new hairdryer but not concern about our wellbeing. I demanded 20% refund, but was told that because the hotel was paid for by travelocity it's impossible. Crazy, never again.
- 5/5
Perfect hotel for a quick trip with my 8 year old daughter. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and transportation. Small room but plenty of space for 2 people.
- 4/5
Restaurant not open, we had to travel across the road with vouchers to a coffee bar. Hotel is under refurbishment. They kindly moved us after I commented that our king bed was not any where near A king bed.
- 5/5
Nice clean and very friendly
- 5/5
Beautiful & well maint
- 3/5
The check-in process, in theory, is a great concept. Being able to check in on a kiosk is convenient, quick, and (you’d think) simple. However, it didn’t work for me and countless guests I witnessed after and over the follow couple of days. As a result of this, there was a backlog of people awaiting check in, which would be fine if there was sufficient staff and/or the lobby could accommodate more than 6 people + luggage at a time. Having to weave in and out of people when trying to enter or exit was cumbersome and poorly designed. I arrived at a slower time, so check-in wasn’t terrible, I just had to wait because the kiosk didn’t work. This aside, I would rather.
- 3/5
However we had a nice time and everyone after the first night were nice and welcoming. The location was also really good as it was close to everything we wanted to do either by the subway which was really cheap or walking.
- 5/5
Clean, close to the subway, in general very good!
- 5/5
Newly renovated. Great hotel with spacious rooms. Very central in great area. Will be back.
- 4/5
room was clean for the most part but pillow cases and sheets were messed up.
- 3/5
I was charged again for the taxes and room fee again by the property. I don't like being double charged for the same thing. I need to be refunded my money back.
- 1/5
.
- 5/5
The hotel was great loved how spacious the room was and how quite at night great over all will definitely be going back again
- 5/5
Amazing hotel and such kind staff. Loved my stay. Will definitely be back.
- 2/5
No hot water nor the staff willing to address it, we complained 3 times and nothing was done
- 2/5
Decent location if you prefer to stay on the East Side. Not very central to any subways other than the 6 on 33rd/lex (for those using a wheelchair you need to go to 28th/lex), so unless you’re staying on the east side of town, which I doubt if you’re visiting New York and it’s for tourism you’re going to be doing
- 2/5
Amenities not as described by Hotels.com and photos were misleading. Numerous standard conveniences were missing from my $300+ room and hotel itself, ranging from a non-existent night front desk manager (listed as on duty 24 hrs) and onsite restaurant (which is supposedly being built), to simple, inexpensive tea/coffee/espresso maker/fixings (not listed but needed since no there's no onsite snack bar/restaurant), to no indoor lounge or work/social space of any type to use beside's one's room, no closet doors that close to avoid clothing and belongings being out, to inadequate light switches—at least one bedside light of 2 are only controlled by 1 entry wall switch—all lights go off or on at once. The most shockingly rude and offensive night accountant (he called himself?) ostensibly there to greet guests seemed furious that he had a customer facing job at all, and more. The design is drab, cliched, cold, chintzy. Furniture and finishes are marred by scratches, despite being new according to the day manager. Hotel is not at all 4 star worthy as advertised, and barely should be given 3 stars for its lack of amenities. Giving a free beverage and/or microwaved pastry across Park Avenue standup place (not even next door, at a sit down cafe) does not make up for missing all that. Last, the hotel charged me an extra $100 the PM guy insisted was not extra. It was! The helpful day manager refunded it w/ no problem. Day staff tried hard, under new management. Hotel is not up to snuff.
- 5/5
Very easy and accessible
- 5/5
Great room but let’s talk about the view ! One of the best views I’ve ever had ! Great location and staff.
- 5/5
I loved staying at the Hotel Park Avenue NYC. They don't have a conventional check-in or concierge desk but, there is a staff member to assist with both in the lobby. I loved the room design and decor and the maid service was amazing, efficient, friendly and reliable each day. Great location.
- 5/5
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was incredibly nice. The ice machine was out but they gave us a bucket of ice directly to our room. Be careful for them not to charge the resort fees twice as this is what happened to me and I had to bring it to an employees attention for it to get resolved.
- 2/5
I booked my stay via expedia but the hotel at check out charged me $100 for no reason. Expedia clear their hands saying the hotel never responded. The hotel snd room was nice but it left a bitter taste that I got overcharged.
- 5/5
Staff are polite and very responsive to needs/requests
- 5/5
Nice view clean room
- 5/5
Staff was excellent, made the experience even better!
- 5/5
Conveniently located. Freshly renovated. Nicely appointed. Great check-in experience.
- 5/5
The room was clean and practical.
- 2/5
Our room had a beautiful view but unfortunately our ac did not work for majority of our stay. We had it looked at during our stay but it was still 80° in our room almost the entire time. It was miserable to be in the room, we were waking up drenched in sweat. Would have been nice to have enjoyed the property.
- 5/5
Great rooms!
- 5/5
Rooms are oversized for NYC. Staff is great. Good location. No frills, but clean and bright.
- 5/5
I loved everything about this hotel from the professionalism and the sleek look and cleanliness. Great location and I will definitely be back!!
- 1/5
Charged twice for no reason
- 5/5
we stayed in one of the balcony rooms and it was very cool! also the gentleman and young woman staff were amazingly accommodating and helpful! Thank you we will be back- we just wished there was a restaurant at the location!
- 4/5
small bathroom with only one sink
- 5/5
You MUST stay here!!
- 5/5
This place was beyond amazing and the staff is very helpful, I will be staying here again!
- 5/5
Newly renovated hotel, great location!
- 1/5
The air conditioning stopped working for a day and they charge you extra charges once your stay is open so make sure you have extra funds. They are under construction so they do not have a restaurant and the terrace isnt open yet. The gym barely has anything in it. Its so small
- 5/5
Fast check-in by kiosk. The offer breakfast option by "voucher" but the voucher wasn't provided. Nice work on remodeling the previously tired spaces.
- 3/5
Cons: 1. missing furniture in room- no credenza or lamp or sconce lamp between two beds. 2. Only way to turn off lights was two main switches- when main was turned off the plug between beds turned off so had to charge phones on bathroom or other plugs near floor. Advised front desk but appears a wiring issue? 3. Bowl sink on small pedestal had no counter space and tiny shelf adjacent not adequate 4. Bill was incorrect. Did not match daily room rate in booking from Expedia. Employee had to go in back to discuss with manager. Never received final copy even after. Amount was corrected on credit card after several days. Great potential just some kinks to work out
- 5/5
It was a great stay.
- 5/5
This place was amazing! The service and staff were great as well as check in was smooth! We were able to pay in full cash and the room was beautiful and prepared nicely. All in all a wonderful stay and the view was great!!
- 5/5
It was clean, comfortable and easy to navigate
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Easy check in and check out. Complimentary vouchers for the cafe across the street was a nice touch
- 5/5
I was also impressed with the staff who found and returned my daughter’s favorite stuffed animal. It spent a few extra nights in NY.;)
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
Problems with billing.
- 5/5
One of the best in NYC. WILL DEFINITELY BOOK IN THE FUTURE.
- 5/5
So nice
- 4/5
Only negative I would say is the steam from the shower set off the fire alarm and for the rest of my stay I had to monitor if
- 5/5
Wasn't sure what to expect as this brand was not our typical choice. But once we arrived it was clear that the experience would be quiet unique. We were upgraded to a King Suite and let me tell you, it was fit for a "king". My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and would highly recommend Hotel Park Avenue to anyone visiting the Big Apple anytime soon.
- 1/5
Was supposed to receive my 200.00 deposit back. The room was clean and intact when we left. Zero damages. I was told within a day or two I’d receive my deposit back, a week later they told me to email as I should have received it already. No response, so I called the following week then they said up to 30 days. A couple days shy of 30 days still no deposit, so now I have to go through my bank for the deposit. Terrible customer service. No coffee in the mornings either, you have to go across the street first. Laundry service is a rip off, charging like I think 8.00 per t shirt. Only one small stool per balcony, asked for a second they never brought one (king size balcony suit with 2 people staying). Will not stay here again.
