Reviews
The hotel is praised for its central location and affordable price, but criticized for its small, windowless rooms with thin walls. The shared bathrooms are a point of contention, with some guests finding them clean and others complaining of mold and dirt.

Nothing I do not consider it ethical to rent out a room for two people when it is absolutely impossible for two people to fit inside. The rooms are extremely small. The bed was very short, and I couldn't fit in it. The hotel has a serious cleanliness problem; although the bathrooms are shared, they are not cleaned adequately—and I even saw a mouse.

Location was great and snacks/coffee was provided free of charge. Bedroom was tiny and the bed was uncomfy (basically a piece of wood). There was also a mouse that got into our room one day.

It was cheap and a small double bed. I only needed it to close my eyes at night. I had no windows. But it was right in the centre of New York so can’t complain. It did its job. Close your eyes, sleep then out the front door.

This was a very economical choice in a great Chinese neighborhood. The people at the desk were consistently helpful and the lack of a bathroom in the small room was not a problem as there were plenty of bathrooms Well the room was verrrry small but I didn't expect the Waldorf

Mouse poop in the beds and half the showers didn’t work. Not even worth it for the low price

The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff. They deserve 5 stars: they were incredibly polite, responsive, and welcoming. They offered us a choice of rooms, gave us useful tips on getting noodles and chips, and were very generous in offering extra towels, blankets, and flip-flops. They are the only reason this isn't a zero-star review. Absolutely everything else. The location is deep in the chaos of Chinatown markets, and the entrance is a long, steep, and filthy staircase leading to an unmarked door. The room was literally closet-sized (just enough space for the door to open and a bunk bed) with zero ventilation or fresh air. The floor was covered in cigarette butts and reeked of smoke. The walls are paper-thin, making it impossible to sleep. Even though the staff kindly offered extra blankets and flip-flops, the general hygiene was so terrifying that we were too scared to use them. We booked for 4 nights but escaped at 6 AM after a sleepless first night and moved to New Jersey. Unless you are heavily sedated or capable of sleeping in sub-human conditions, save yourself. Flee.

Great location. Short money. TINY room, terrible mattress. Thin walls, bring earplugs.

Location is great; close to subway and bus stops. We were able to get anywhere we wanted to very easily. Bed was hard, walls were thin, and the room had little to no airflow, so the air felt very stale after a day or two. With the thin walls, we heard a massive argument break out between management and a group of guests at 4am on our last night there

Good location in China town; Easy to get to public transit ; many local cafes. Room was extremely small ; not enough room for sitting down or for suitcases . Bathroom down the hall ; noisy due to being too close to front desk where others would routinely hold loud conversations late at night .

The price was amazing The people working there are busy cleaning Always helpful and they make good coffee It is a good location for wandering around Chinatown and little Italy Great access to subway line D which has stops at Bryant park and Times Square The room was small and no widow But for the price I was warm and comfortable I believe they have bigger rooms and rooms with widows . It's basic and has shared bathrooms and they keep them spotless

Location! Lack of morning coffee. But text them and they'll make more!

nothing other than friendly staff and a fan in our room rooms were very small and crowded with no AC. The bathrooms were dirty and not fully functional.

The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. It needed to be updated.

Great value and good location. I would stay there again, for sure! It could get a little loud sometime and the room could use a deep clean every once in a while
