It had the bare minimum needed to stay: a bed where I could actually sleep, a sink to brush my teeth, and a bathroom where I could take a shower. There was only the absolute minimum: a bed I could sleep in, a toilet, and a sink. Nothing else. The air conditioner was extremely loud and impossible to sleep with, and on top of that, the traffic noise from outside was very heavy all night. In the bed, there were small insects crawling; when I crushed them, a red stain came out, and I found about five of them. In the bathroom, there was a glass shelf that either had loose screws or was already broken; it fell down even though I didn’t touch it. There was no refrigerator or microwave, and no other extra amenities at all. There was a TV, but no remote control, so it couldn’t even be turned on. It was truly just a space where I could sleep—and nothing more.

The area is quiet and it easy to get to the city center. Breakfast is included, and the room is truly spacious. Daily housekeeping is top notch. The only point is perhaps to improve the breakfast choice, such as adding fruit or sweets

Since then, I have called the hotel several times and messaged them, but they have not responded at all. I even believe they blocked my number, because they haven’t answered for over a week. I have never seen anything like this or experienced such a situation before. Just ridiculous! They charged me over $300 for nothing and clearly do not care. If you respect your time and your money, book somewhere else.

I mistakenly booked this property and called them right away to request a refund. They said they understood and were fine with the refund, but told me that since I booked through Booking.com, I needed to contact Booking.com first. I did exactly as they advised, and Booking.com initiated the refund request. Since then, I have called the hotel several times and messaged them, but they have not responded at all. Had a two week stay in a double suite and it was very good. Room was spotless and well equipped had housekeeping when we needed it. Coffee machine in room and also in lobby. Several bus stops near the property and a very good supermarket near. We didn’t get down for breakfast as it finished at 9am and that was a little early for us. The bath is massive and a real plus at the end of a long day walking. Many thank for a great stay.

Nice clean lil rooms. Enjoyed my stay.

Location worked well for where we needed to be for work. We were happy with the affordability and accommodations that came with the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the property was kept up well by staff. The TVs in the rooms were pretty small and there was not many channel options. The breakfast left a bit to be desired as well so we sought out elsewhere.

The room was dingy and outdated. I was not very sure of the cleanliness of the room. I also would have wanted the mattresses to have covers. I was disappointed that they did not. It was not nearly as nice as the photos. The location was not really walkable for food or NYC activities.
- 5/5
Staff was very professional. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
Pictures do not look like the actual hotel
- 4/5
Everything was normal
- 3/5
The room was in fine condition, it could just use some touch ups here and there, and better insulation around the window. Staff was otherwise very courteous and helpful.
- 5/5
Staff was great, loved our room. Super clean! Be aware that when they parking is limited, its actually very limited! We were lucky to find the last spot still available!
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
Area was safe because it’s in a quiet Jewish neighborhood so you doing Dave to worry about any random talking to you. Don’t expect for any stores to be open on Saturday due to Sabbath, but it’s pretty safe.
- 5/5
A bit of a walk to the subway but not terrible. Safe and quiet neighborhood
- 5/5
Great stay. There was a ton of parking. Can’t beat the price
- 4/5
Unclear how to use AC
- 5/5
Great location right in the cultural middle of the largest Jewish community in the nation! Easy walking to nearby restaurants and a quick pickup for ride shares.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, room was clean
- 5/5
The room size was really nice and spacious. The staff were so kind and helpful. The TV didn’t work, which was a bummer and the pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but this wasn’t a huge deal.
- 5/5
Room was clean looking, sheets were fresh, bed was comfortable multiple pillows. There was someone’s sock and a pill under the bed when we got there, guess that wasn’t checked or vacuumed. The bathroom sink was moveable on its pedestal. The hot water takes 2min to get to 4th floor. They had travel shampoo conditioner soap and a toothbrush facial tissues and extra tp. The A/C unit didn’t seem to regulate right it was cooler outside but even on 67 didn’t seem to get cold. WiFi worked but didn’t really use it. Would recommend hotel!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
Overall the hotel was ok. The breakfast is very limited. Hotel desk was sometimes left empty. The condition of the rooms required updating. The religious community surrounding the hotel made it a little uncomfortable, especially when it was a 15 minute walk to get to a subway. Getting stared at constantly didn't feel very pleasant.
- 1/5
I was very disappointed, rating online did not match place in person. Room bathtub would not drained, very disappointed . Was offer another room to shower in, that did not fix the party occupancy
- 4/5
You get what you paid for. Great for the price however the surrounding neighborhood is quite boring, which really was not a problem as long as you're ok with walking 15 minutes to the subway or taking the bus! Would recommend all things considered if budget is a factor for you!
- 4/5
Close to family we were visiting.
- 5/5
The front desk were so friendly
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast options were limited but fine, it just should not be advertised as continental. Despite that I've enjoyed the staying and would recommend it.
- 5/5
A very nice hotel we were lucky to find after a flight cancelation at JFK. Staff were very accommodating, and the room spacious and nice. I'll stay here again if going to New York.
- 4/5
Very quiet area, not to close to shops and transit transportation.

Good property
- 3/5
Was told there are 3 parking spots , first come first serve,, when we got there they said oh they are rented out, we had to park over 2 blocks away, the CO detector went off at 4am the guy literally rip it out of the ceiling causing lights to go out in room, who ever cleans the room is not very good,, there was a ball of black curly hair aside the nightstand on the floor, windows were horribly dirty, has a efficiency kitchen but NO dishes cups etc, the coffee is INSTANT,, very gross. The only friendly desk person was the young lady on the evening shift, definitely not worth the Over $450 we paid for 2 nights…
- 5/5
Great stay! Room was clean and cozy, good A/C, front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would gladly visit again! A+++++
- 2/5
Dirty. Walls are all chipped. Just an old hotel that needs remodeling. Not sound proof rooms at all. Overall would not stay again. Was only 20 min walk from brooklyn storehouse but would rather take a uber from a nicer hotel in the future. Overall hotel needs major remodeling.
- 2/5
Rusty appliances, construction imperfections, uncomfortable religious community.

Service was nice but the room felt dingy. Sadly I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean, had a kitchenette, spacious, slightly dated.
- 5/5
Good place to stay if you’re visiting your students at Pratt.
- 1/5
It felt like I was sleeping outside because it was very noisy with the windows closed. The beds were very short and not comfortable. The breakfast was not good at all, only bagels were offered. The woman who served it was yelling at everyone. The staff at the front desk was not helpful or friendly. All in all, it was a really bad experience.
- 5/5
check in was super easy and the hotel was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
It was very clean. Not many food options and the subway is a short walk to subway.
- 4/5
Building was alright. Staff was quick to check me in. For the price it was a good deal. Depending on what you are doing, uber rides can be used to not have to deal with the traffic. No on site parking, but there were parking garages very close to the hotel for an alright price
- 3/5
It was doable but definitely not worth the price
- 3/5
They need to update the hotel. It wasn't horrible. Big rooms, but missing TLC.

Property is OK but not great. The hotel is old and the rooms look like it. There were stains on the drapes and ceiling. The Property is in the heat of an orthodox Jewish community which isn't really a problem but because of that there's not a lot of food around other than bagel shops. Also be prepared for very busy streets during the day and night.
- 4/5
The elevator was out of service 2 out of our 3 days
- 5/5
We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were made daily and we had fresh towels daily. There was a kitchen but we couldn’t use it to its full potential as there were no pots and pans, plates, cutlery etc.. We didn’t try the breakfast as we were out into Manhattan early exploring. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checking out which was useful as our flight was much later! The subway wasn’t too far away. The area felt very safe! We would definitely stay again!

We had an extended stay (12 nights) booked at Pointe Plaza Hotel, and had thought the provision of kitchen facilities would have been good for this stay. We initially arrived late and crashed and headed out early the next day. The second evening, when we finally spent time in the room, we had multiple mouse sightings in our room, including bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. We immediately brought this to the attention of the reception. The hotel was fully booked and we also no longer felt safe in the property and checked out and had to find accommodation at the last minute over the Christmas period. Despite numerous communications, we have yet receive a response / refund from the hotel: * 14 & 17th December - Emails sent to Pointe Plaza Hotel at [email protected] * 18 December - message sent via Expedia website to Pointe Plaza Hotel * 19 December - whatsapp message to Pointe PLaza Hotel asking them to respond to our communications Following this, we have been working with Expedia who have also advised the hotel has not been responsive to their multiple communications. We can not in any good conscience recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
- 5/5
Rate was jacked up due to the holiday so not a great value for the price. Not a lot of restaurants around....just cafes and bakeries. Very basic breakfast. Instant coffee instead of brewed. Safe neighborhood with families.
- 5/5
The location was very convenient for our activities, some of which involved driving and others walking. The staff was always very helpful. The elevator always came quickly, with virtually no waiting. There was a breakfast available each morning. The staff told us of a parking garage that was a couple of blocks away that had a cheaper rate than their on-site parking. As with most parking garages in NYC, they set conditions before they would accept the hotel discount that was mentioned, so we couldn't use the discount. In looking at parking garages elsewhere, comments generally were negative, citing the scams the operators use to increase the cost of parking. Due to our schedule, we switched to the hotel's on-site parking, which was competitive with some of the other locations nearby. The hotel was a good choice for us for what we wanted, and we enjoyed our 7-day stay at the Pointe Plaza Hotel.

Hotel was not as advertised
- 5/5
I love the area love the cleanliness of rooms the staff was kind …worst part was parking …terrible parking situation besides that it was a great stay
- 5/5
I was surprised by the size of the room. It had a kitchenette which I was not expecting. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean, the bathroom was also large and clean.. It was quiet at night. I had a very comfortable relaxing stay. It’s one of the few places in Brooklyn that offer on site parking which was also a convenience.
- 3/5
The whole area is dirty.
- 5/5
Great front desk. Felt safe in neighborhood. Public transportation was only like 10min walk to subway.
- 1/5
wasn’t like the pictures at all
- 5/5
It was a cute place that had everything I needed for my short trip.
- 3/5
The hotel did not meet my expectations although it was clean and staff was pleasant. My biggest issue was the lack of comfortability due to the noise level outside of the hotel, which made it difficult to sleep. Some parts of the room was broken, such as the curtain cord and the door blocker. So, there was little natural lighting in my room and a feeling of there being a lack of security. The hotel offers the basic amenities but the older condition of the furniture and room made it difficult for me to enjoy my stay.
- 1/5
Not a single dish or utensil in the kitchen - but real problem is the chemical stench had to sleep with heads out the windows and bathroom fan on - made us sick can’t come back - felt like being poisoned -
- 2/5
Shower was not clean, hair etc... gross really.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. The room is decent. Access isn't that bad if you like walking for 10-15 minutes. Cars outside honk all the time though. There aren't many restaurants nearby.
- 1/5
Don’t plug in the television! It’ll shut off power to the whole room! Still, maybe that’ll jolt things so there’s hot water!
- 3/5
I’d just say the entire property needed repairs. Things weren’t as they appear in the photos at all! Things were worn, the dining room was neat but items were outdated and makeshift. The photos online look AI generated or definitely photoshop work done. Another thing to point out … is that this hotel is in the center of a large Hasidic Jew community. Therefore, if you are looking for a certain kind of restaurant, bar, nightlife within a short walking distance you probably won’t find it. But, the area was very safe and quiet which was great for my 12 year old son and I. The subway was about a 15 minute walk and my son and I walk fast, so that added time to our commute to activities. There was a bagel restaurant across the street that was amazing!!! We only ate there twice but I could’ve eaten there many more times. Excellent!! Brooklyn Bagel
- 4/5
I stayed here one week and it was a pleasant stay. The room is clean and big, the bath was nice to have. The breakfast was good but should finish at 10am not 9am. The location is ok about 30 minute walk to Williamsburg the nice area. Wifi was quite good and staff were friendly.
- 3/5
The building was probably not a hotel originally. The rooms have weird inconvenient shapes, the walls are really thin and the renos have been done as cheap as possible. The smell of cleaning products was too strong in the room for us to sleep there. We had to ask for another room. And there is absolutely nothing else there than rooms. No food, nothing.
- 2/5
Rubbish hotel, AC was stuck to my bed... got sick since day 1... breakfast on average, just bagle, milk or bad coffe... elevator it's a pain... the area around isn't nice, if u ask a suggest to the neighbours don't be surprise if they act like they didn't hear you, or they don't know where is the pharmacy (next to their door)... will never come back.. they should not only refund my permanence at the hotel... they should refund me also my fly from Europe to us and us to Europe... I lost my vacation for the AC stuck to my bed
- 4/5
Super clean hotel. The front desk staff was very professional. The bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious. The only down side is that the water pressure for the shower isn’t that great and the area is pretty far from the train. If you’re not familiar with the bus routes you might need to walk for at least 20 mins or take an uber to where you want to go. The area is pretty residential though so it’s nice and quiet. Not bad for the price!
- 2/5
As such, you need dramatically lower amenities expectations for what you are paying for. It is a very quirky hotel that has a lot to work on. Staff is great. Rooms are good sized. Bed is very good. All other furnishings (furniture, light fixtures, art, bathroom sink, towels, etc.) are very dated, tired, and a bit shabby. Lastly, all rooms have a mezuzah in the doorway. This may be a problem for some.

I like the desk worker who really helped me out earlier when I had a situation that I needed taken care of. If I knew her name I would put it here personally because I appreciate it so much

Very comfortable for nyc rush
- 4/5
Review would be slightly lower if not for the amazing staff.
- 3/5
Breakfast was fine - not much option really, 2 cereals and bagels (of the 4 options, 1 was unavailable the whole time). Only available from 7.30am to 9am and not on Saturdays, it felt limited. The location is good, plenty of options for public transport, very loud though (that's not exclusive to here - it is New York after all). Overall we were disappointed with most things for what we paid, it wasn't horrible, but not great for the price.
- 5/5
I loved how peaceful and safe the property felt. I wish there were more nearby restaurants or bars that would open late.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would have been nice to have more food options close by . Rooms were clean and very comfortable
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay :)
- 3/5
We were upgraded to a suite with a kitchen but no microwave or pots and pans or utensils
- 5/5
I really liked the atmosphere of the neighborhood
- 2/5
The housekeeper and most of the front desk staff were friendly, and it was clean, but most of the description is misleading.
- 4/5
Very clean, deep bathtub. 15 min walk to MTA in a safe neighborhood.
- 1/5
Customer service guy was very rude and unprofessional
- 5/5
Great base location for a cycling tour of Brooklyn and environs, close to shared bike paths to enjoy the sites and sounds of Brooklyn, Williamsburg, DUMBO and Manahattan.
- 4/5
The people were hospitable and helpful. They are making the best of an older, yet still adequate, building/furnishings. Greatly appreciated the opportunity to park onsite. The experience of spending time in the neighborhood was unique. Would definitely book again!
- 5/5

Staff was amazing. Room had kitchen with no utensils which was odd, had to get paper plates in utensils from breakfast area. Room was clean bed were nice. Area around the hotel was a little dirty.
- 3/5
Could have really used a microwave oven in my room, or at least one at the lobby if there were such available.
- 5/5
Cute, quaint hotel with a lot of charm but not the newest upgrades. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. Parking is very limited and cost.
- 5/5
Everything was good!
- 3/5
A good percentage of the limited tv stations did not have sound others were fuzzy.
- 5/5
Staying at Pointe Plaza was an enjoyable experience. The hotel staff were helpful and professional. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast and luggafe hold.

No major view.good for good night sleep in a city
- 4/5

- 5/5
Good stay convenient location
- 1/5
In terms of the room itself, the hot water tap is extremely hot there is no medium temperature. The staff didn’t put extra toilet paper in the room. The towels are washed in detergent that made me extremely itchy. The property was a total rip off. Pillows are also uncomfortable. Stay away is my advice.
- 5/5
Affordable, easily walkable from public transit, short distance from dining and music in Williamsburg. The staff was friendly. The elevator needed some maintenance.
- 5/5
room was very spacious and clean. staff was accommodating with early checkin and parking
- 5/5
Great hotel! Situated in a very safe neighbourhood in Brooklyn with basic amenities minutes away. Subway into Manhattan is a 15 minute walk away, bus to Downtown Brooklyn is outside or you can walk 15 minutes to Clinton Hill / Forte Green where you will find lots of great restaurants, pubs and bars. The room was a great size and we even had a view of the Manhattan skyline! The bed was the comfiest bed ever and the towels were changed daily as well as them providing toiletries. The breakfast bagel was a nice touch, especially as you can take it to go. The staff were helpful and even leant us a socket adapter for our stay as we thought there would have been USB charging points so didn’t bring one - completely our fault and quickly fixed by the friendly staff!
- 5/5
The hotel was lovely, the staff were super friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. Overall a fantastic experience. The subway is about 13minute walk away but the upside of being outside of Manhattan is that its nice and quiet at night.
- 2/5
Awkwardly designed room. Little or no supplies in room, including no glass or paper cups, no coffee maker. The breakfast served on the bottom floor was spartan; just coffee & juice and a plain bagel with cream, cheese
- 4/5
Have no complaints at all. for what I paid for the accommodation I was very happy.
