The room is tiny, the bed is huge. Literally no room to walk around the bed.

Always lovely to stay here.,Out second visit to NYC. The location is mins, walk to Penn station making everything accessible
- 4/5
Location, location, location. Free drinks in the lobby. Good value for money. The standard rooms are really quite small. You will have to be a little creative with two people and one suitcase.
- 5/5
Very comfortable, a bit quirky, lots of pineapple 🍍.Team were very helpful and efficient. Great location for metro and trains.

Staypineapple in Midtown was a perfect place to stay for my Hyrox race this past weekend. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. The staff were all incredible. I actually had an issue with my hot water and they had a plumber fix it within the hour. I would most definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, very clean!

We were impressed with the helpful staff and the cheerful decor. Lots of little extras that made our stay very memorable. It is a good location close to the train station, and Time Square.

Great location. Comfy bed.

Best hotel in NYC! Love staying here

The location couldn't have been better — just steps from the train station. The staff were welcoming and highly professional, and the room was spotless and charming. The flexibility to drop off my luggage before check-in and after check-out was a wonderful touch. I'll definitely be returning! Honestly, there was nothing I didn't like! Every detail was spot on — a flawless experience from start to finish.

Great location, bed and comforter is really comfortable, room is small and floor is not very clean. Also kind of annoying that air conditioner is next to your bed can some time feel the cold air at night.

Wonderful for pets
- 5/5
It's amazing, you can tell they paid attention to all the details.
- 5/5
They also provide free amenities and are very well stocked!
- 4.5/5
The people were so nice! I appreciate that they held our bags before and after check-in so we could explore the city unencumbered. The free sodas and water were appreciated as were all the little extras! I'm adopting the 2-duvet concept (king room) for my own home. The location is excellent; it is walkable from Penn Station and to the garment district fabric stores. The room felt claustrophobic. But that's the norm for NYC. I nearly got stuck between the bed and the wall.
- 3/5
Location The room was really small. Was overcharged, but was able to get it refunded.

Also everything was clean and the place was close the the subway.
- 4.5/5
I loved how genuinely kind everyone was, plus the room was tidied up every single day and our bathroom towels were changed almost every day too. Also everything was clean and the place was close the the subway.
- 4/5
Perfect location, very helpful staff. The room was cute and had all the necessary amenities- coffee machine was super useful. The only discomfort was lack of soundproof windows, it was a bit noisy at night. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
- 3.5/5
Very good location for what we needed/wanted (Theatres, subway, restaurants, Hudson River Greenway). Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Bathroom was good size for the size of the room. Loved the free snacks and drink cooler. Staff was very accommodating. Coffee maker was not good -- would prefer to have lobby coffee in the AM. Very tight room for 2 people; room was basically the bed and dresser. TV or rather the cable/streaming was very finicky and iffy -- did not work well.

Very positive experience again. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room is clean and very comfortable and it's well equipped (hair dryer, etc). This is the 4th time I have stayed at this hotel (annual trade show at Javitz) and honestly, it has gotten better and better over time. The only negative comments I have are: there is no mini fridge in the room and the coffee maker is tough to negotiate. Everything else, just great!
- 5/5
It is centrally located, everything is easily accessible on foot, metro station nearby. The bed was very comfortable, despite the noisy city, the room was quiet. I would especially highlight the cleanliness. The towels were changed daily, the room was cleaned and the bed was made. What is an extra and thoughtful gesture for guests is that chilled soft drinks, teas and snacks are available in the lobby free of charge. The staff is kind and helpful. The wifi worked well, you only had to wait a few minutes for the elevators. Overall, a very pleasant hotel with a good location, I can only recommend it, with maximum satisfaction. I can't think of anything.

Very cute and quirky room. Excellent location for lady gaga concert
- 5/5
Excellent, cheerful and great stay at Stay Pineapple New York. l thought the room would be a little on the small side but it was thoughtfully organized and l wasn't there to spend much time in the room, so the smaller square footage was not a problem at all. Wonderful bed and we loved having 2 duvet covers! Welcoming lobby and l enjoyed the creative design. Great location for walking to the Theater District, Hell's Kitchen, Times Square and subway entrances. Would stay again!

Cute hotel! Super nice staff.. smaller rooms but it don’t bother me as I’m just there for business.. there was an amenity charge tha I wasn’t aware of when booking for 64ish bucks for two nights.. might not stay again just because of that when other hotels I have stayed at recently didn’t have that charge..
- 5/5
The room was amazing for the price compared to other hotels in the area! So convenient as it's only like a 7 minute walk to Penn Station and 15 mins to Empire State Building. Bathroom was clean, modern, and even thoughtfully had a cleaned prepped bath mat available for use if needed. The bed sheets were clean and they have two blankets for couples who prefer separate blankets like we do. Overall, great experience
- 5/5
Other than that, though, the staff were amazing, the bed comfy, the temperature perfect, great location...
- 5/5
Great location, clean room, kind staff, water filling station in lobby
- 5/5
Great !
- 3/5
The room was solidly average - very good price for the middle of Manhattan but the rooms are exceptionally small. My room had a king - but there was barely a foot on each side of the bed it felt like. Also, there is no luggage rack, just a luggage roller under the bed. The floor of the shower was peeling (though the shower was clean) so safe to also say it could use a spruce up and is a bit run down. The bed was comfortable enough and the water pressure in the shower was solid. I would only book again if travelling solo - too tight for more than 1 person

Room was small but perfect for 2 people on an overnight stay. Cozy with all the necessary amenities and more! Bedding and linens were clean and soft as advertised. Everything was so neat and tidy - and we kept finding little features that were so thoughtfully and cleverly placed! (eg., a pullout table / workspace as part of the nightstand, luggage storage tray that rolled out from under the bed, etc.). Such a cute hotel, check in and check out was a breeze, staff was so kind and helpful, and they were more than happy to help us store our luggage between the few hours after we checked out to when we actually were ready to leave the city. 100% would return again!

- 5/5
We loved this hotel. It has everything you need. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything.
- 4/5
The room was a great size. Very clean, the bathroom was excellent. Lifts to every floor. The staff on attendance in check-in were very helpful on suggesting food choices. The bed was extremely comfortable. Careful about the environment when cleaning towels or bedding changes. Pricing was very good and the location was easily accessible to all areas within walking distances. The little extra touches( free cold drinks and snacks ) were readily available. Lighting was a small issue.

Great location Absence of a bar is a shame but the hotel is great.
- 4/5
We were on the second floor hated the fact we could hear people talking and everyone else passing by under our windows. The noise left us exhausted from being woken up frequently by noise like horns, slamming doors and garbage trucks
- 5/5
Great location in midtown, convenient to Penn Station/MSG. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are small but bathroom in my room was spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of good restaurants/bars/coffee shops in the neighborhood.

I loved my stay here. Just one night for a concert at MSG, but it was the perfect location. I arrived early and they allowed me to check my bag for free since it was too early to check in. I had fun exploring the city, then came back to a cute and comfy room to rest and get ready for the concert. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was nice, and even though the room was small as you would expect in the city, it still had everything I needed. It was perfect. Will stay here again for sure!

Location was great! A special shout out to Kayla, the front desk concierge. She went above and beyond for us and recommended excellent places to eat. I made a mistake and booked a room that had a Murphy bed instead of a regular bed. They changed us as soon as another room was available.

It’s a good, budget friendly hotel. But the rooms are quite small. Even though we paid for a king sized room where the bed should fit 3 people, with the lack of space on the room I would not recommend it for more than 2! Staff were very polite and appreciated the free biscuits in reception and the cold water.
- 3/5
The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly our room was small but nicely appointed. I love all the mirrored walls. Two major problems: the shower had a wand that wouldn’t work right making showers difficult. The bed had two seperate duvet blankets. They were nice and fluffy but for two people it’s impossible to sleep together under one blanket. Staff said it was European thing but I’ve traveled in Europe and never have seen that.
- 5/5
Staypineapple is in a great location, a few blocks from Penn Station with many choice to grab a bite or sit down for a nice meal. The staff is super friendly, from front desk to cleaning staff to mechanical support staff all are full of smiles and suggestions. The rooms are super small but beds are really comfortable and AC keeps everything comfortable. Many small amenities like water, cookies, coffee and tea make this an inviting environment. This is a cute boutique hotel. Small rooms with not much space to move especially for 2 guests.
- 2/5
Rooms not large, beds comfortable but other seating was lacking. Accessible shower did not have a lip to keep water inside shower- water went all over the floor- which is a very big slipping hazard for many of us. Not enough towels to clean up water, had to soak mat and hand towel - wring out several times to get floor dry enough to walk out…
- 5/5
The a/c worked well & we were upgraded to a room with a terrace.
- 5/5
Everything clean and comfortable bed
- 5/5
The staff was so welcoming and attentive. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with good lighting and just the right temperature. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I really liked the pineapple cookies, the water station, and the complimentary soft drinks.
- 4/5
The Hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff were extremely kind attentive. Only down fall was the Hot water was broken that weekend.

Everything here was great! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. They have most everything you could need and deliver it to your room with ease. It was very clean and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
The staff were very welcoming. I did early check in so I was able to get to my room as soon as I arrived which was great. My room was a king and was very clean but very small. That was ok though because it was just me. Also, the location was perfect! I would definitely recommend Staypineapple

Would definitely stay here again for a Broadway show weekend. Not that far from Broadway. Held my luggage sheet check out which made the last few hours of wandering really stress free.
- 5/5
Every detail about this property was a surprise; the little extras I didn’t expect. The staff upon check in was so friendly, just a joy of a personality. I will DEFINITELY be returning when I come to NYC.
- 5/5
Clean room. AC worked well. Staff was very nice. Snacks & water much appreciated. Guess we didn't read the fine print but we had a room with twin beds. It was the tiniest room I've ever seen! Has everything you need but glad it was only one night. Read the fine print!
- 5/5
Great stay. Comfortable bed, very good shower, TV, bathrobe. I needed a mini-fridge and they provided it. I also needed a room free from fragrances and other chemical scents, and the room was pretty good in those respects. Staff extremely down to earth and helpful. Great location -- proximity to many cultural venues, restaurants, the subway, the train station, etc.

This hotel is so cute and friendly. It had a lot of cute perks and the location is terrific. I went for Cardi B's concert, and the staff decorated the room for the concert!!! Above and beyond! Will be back!
- 3/5
The hotel staff was amazing. The location was great you can walk to a lot of things. Times Square is not too far. The room is not worth the price. I felt like I was sleeping in a closet. Definitely not worth $700 for two only two nights. The size of the room. And the zebra rug was not in my room.
- 5/5
Great location. Terrific staff. So friendly.
- 5/5
FABULOUS! Cute, clean and the sweetest staff! We loved the little touches that really ehance the hospitality. The robes, the mugs and snacks and drinks in the lobby... will most definitely book for all of our NYC stays.
- 4/5
Room was cute. Bed was uncomfortable and hard, pillows looked nice and fluffy but sank straight down as soon as you lay your head on them. Overall, not a bad place to stay- especially since we didn’t spend a ton of time in the room. That said, after spending all day walking around, trying to relax in a hard bed at the end of the day was inconvenient.
- 4/5
The property is pet friendly but… staff should try to be more knowledgeable about places dogs can go potty. The choices are few and far between. We were told to go to a place that had nowhere for dogs to go. Also, there were two workers that were just… not friendly.
- 5/5
I absolutely loved it
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Stay Pineapple several times in the past two years. It is a wonderful hotel in a very convenient area. We love the location and there is a outdoor parking lot right down the street on 9th ave. Very easy to get to as it is right near the exit and entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel.
- 5/5
Clean spacious room, friendly staff, free flat & sparkling water fountain, snacks & soft drinks.

We reserved connected rooms with a terrace. The terrace, although not clean, was bigger than the hotel room. The terrace had cigarette butts on the ground and on top of the artificial shrubs. The seat cushions on the outdoor furniture were dirty, moldy and had burn holes. The rooms are so tiny, there was no closet or dresser. We were constantly tripping over our luggage and belongings. We weren’t allowed to check-in until 4pm but only one room was clean at that time and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the 2nd room. Only one front desk clerk was friendly and greeted us. The others completely ignored us when we entered the small lobby. We will not stay at Staypineapple again. We were really looking forward to our trip to New York City. For the amount of money we spent on the rooms, I’m sure there are other hotel options.
- 5/5
Good place to stay. Staff nice and friendly.
- 4/5
I was surprised by the additional charge for “amenities “. This was not noted on website
- 5/5
Una estadía excelente, el personal muy atento y amable. La habitación mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Todo estuvo excelente
- 5/5
Stay Pineapple🍍 is very convenient to Penn Station and is close to a lively and diverse restaurant scene particularly on 9th Avenue. Staff was exceedingly nice, and the hotel's whimsical pineapple theme carried throughout.
- 5/5
Great location, clean room
- 1/5
No hot water for a day and no explanation from the staff. Do partial refund from the hotel. Hotels.com did give me $35 toward a future booking. Very disappointed with the response from the hotel.
- 5/5
Very friendly service
- 5/5
Very central, and possibly the best/friendliest service of any of the hotels I've stayed in.
- 4.5/5
Great value. Convenient location, adorable decor, cleverly designed room with surprising number of amenities.
- 3/5
No hot water in shower
- 1/5
Property did not have hot water. It was broken and I was unable to take a shower for 2 days and had to check out without bathing. On top of that the bed was not comfortable and the hotel hairdryers were the worst I've ever been provided. They had a 1ft cord and didn't produce heat. This is the worst hotel stay I've ever had.
- 1/5
Couldn't check in over an hour after check in. 0 hot water for the entire stay. A bit of a disaster.
- 5/5
Made a magical weekend unforgettable
- 4/5
There was no hot water in the morning- they seemed to had an issue but they did take off the hotel service fee
- 4.5/5
The property was great! Especially since we were there for fashion week. My granddaughter and I loved it! How eclectic it was, and the location was amazing! Loved all the yellow! The water bottles and everything was great , and since we were there for Valentine’s Day the silk roses was the cherry on top!
- 3/5
The room's layout was completely impractical. The only available outlet was above a sink with no counter space. There were no bedside tables for phones. The recommended under-bed luggage storage was only 3-4 inches deep (impossible for any actual luggage!) so our bags stayed sprawled in the floor which was a tripping hazard. The bathroom was badly designed as well. We constantly hit our arms on the stall handle while dressing, and towel hooks were inside the shower stall, requiring me to remove my friend's dry towel to avoid soaking it. While I've enjoyed other Stay Pineapple locations, this experience was disappointing enough that I won't book with them again. We would have switched to a queen room if staying longer than two nights, but we specifically needed separate beds, so it didn't seem worth the hassle for such a short trip.
- 5/5
Close to Penn Station for train transport and subway lines. Restaurants and shopping close.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and so helpful! It is in a good part of the city and just a short walk to a subway!
- 5/5

This hotel is a great deal in terms of cost location, and service!
- 5/5
Super clean, very nice friendly and helpful
- 4.5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, great value! The toilet ran, but with the door closed it didn’t much matter.
- 5/5
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Very comfortable mattress! Immaculate room with great location. Free snacks and sodas. Cold outside air leaked through the vents of the heating system when it wasn’t running.
- 5/5
Lovely albeit compact room. Very thoughtful use of the limited space, with a desktop portable fridge available and closet and bathrobes. Pleasant view of bustling 36th Street below our window.
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Clean cute rooms.
- 5/5
I had an amazing stay at Staypineapple. I was only there for one night before my flight to Chicago, but everything from check in to check out was smooth and welcoming. The location is super central, I felt safe, and it was very easy to get around. The hotel has such cute, artsy decor and a really fun vibe, and the room itself was also very modern and spotlessly clean. The duvet was unbelievably cozy, I slept so well. I also loved the free reusable water bottle and the complimentary cookies, such a sweet touch. On top of that, the staff were beyond kind and genuinely helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. NOTHING! It was all truly amazing
- 5/5
Truly enjoyed our overnight. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was reasonably priced for NYC-clean,comfortable double bed, multiple electrical outlets. The walk from the bus depot was 10 minutes. The walk to the Metropolitan opera house was no more than 30 minutes. They have complimentary sodas in the lobby.
- 5/5
Clean room. Helpful staff. Nice water pressure. Comfortable bed. Coffee in room. Snacks in lobby and water source to fill bottles.
- 4/5
This was a nice Manhattan hotel. Clean and nicely decorated (and fun!) rooms, efficient check-in, and free snacks and coffee in the lobby. There is not much else to the hotel, but if you are good with a nice room in the area, highly recommend.
- 5/5
This was the most delightful hotel. Free cookies and soft drinks. Robes!!! The staff was very friendly. Hotel was very clean. Refillable water station. Great location. Pozza place one block away was outstanding.
- 5/5
The Room was clean, the hallways were silent, the vibe was quiet, it smelt good, the location was excellent. right next to and across the street from two other big busy hotels , this had a nice quiet homely feel . the staff felt accomodating.. truelyenjoyed my stay in NYC .. and the price was right as well
- 5/5
Clean and friendly hotel in NYC! Refreshing. Room was larger than expected.
- 4.5/5
We liked the decore, and cozy room. Staff were friendly. The pineapple cookies were good too! Not a dislike really, but wish the robes for the price of the room were able to be taken home. Also there was no pineapple infused water, but the free water was a bonus.
- 3.5/5
Clean and good location expected it to be a bit more upscale for the price
- 5/5
So cute and staff was helpful
- 4/5
The room was tiny and cramped but the bathroom was spacious. The bed, however… was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly at check in and check out. The room cleaning could have been better. We used the glass cups and mugs and the cleaning staff left did not replace them for our entire stay.

Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean room at a reasonable price. Close to Midtown but quiet (by NYC standards). Loved the little perks like the 24-hour water bar.
- 5/5
Confortable bed Friendly staff Freddy went above and beyond!!!
- 5/5
The room was small, but I had everything that I needed. The bedding was very comfy and the staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. I will stay here again and I highly recommend.
- 5/5
Spotless, nice staff. Great location,
- 5/5
Nice clean room, bathroom was spotless. Comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Set up for my dogs birthday
- 5/5
The room was spotless, stylish and the staff was so incredibly friendly and welcoming!!!
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The amenities are nice. The complementary snacks and drinks are a nice touch. I would stay here again or another location.
- 5/5
We loved this cute hotel! Convenient to everything we wanted to do. The staff was amazing and very helpful!
- 3/5
Rooms are very small. The room we were in had the bathroom sink in the sleeping so very small even on city boutique standards. No tables for items or area for luggage. There is a resort fee is as advertised. Not sure why. There are not really any special amenities. Just water can of soda, and small bags of chips. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room and building were clean. The beds were both comfortable. It is also very close to Penn station.
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
The room was quite nice however the rooms are on the small size. The lack of drawers to put your clothes away made it frustrating. The room was immaculately clean. The Staff was extremely polite and went out of their way to help you.
- 4/5
Rooms are VERY SMALL but absolutely lovely and clean. Beds were heavenly! Great place to stay for 1-2 people but couldnt fit more than 2 people at most in these small rooms. We will stay here again but request housekeeping specifically every day.
- 5/5
It’s a very cute hotel. Staff are extremely friendly. It was clean and they had a few snacks and drinks as amenities. There is no bar at this hotel if someone’s wanting that. The bed was very comfortable. It was easy to walk to 8th Avenue.
- 5/5
The room is clean. And the staff are accommodating. I enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Even tho the room was in the small side we loved the color! The big comfy bed, the 2 European blankets. The bathroom was very nice, well lit, a lot mirrors. WE loved the sink. Very Clean! And it is centrally located.
- 5/5
Amazing room! Friendly. Helpful staff. Great communication!
- 5/5
Excellent location, spacious and clean rooms
- 5/5
Courteous staff, very clean room with comfortable bed and convenient location. Would stay again!
- 3/5
Pro:The bed and bedding were very comfortable. We had a Glamour room which is a good size for a hotel room in Manhattan. The staff was very welcoming and the room was clean. Con: The weather was very cold during our stay and our room had seam in the window that allowed cold air to stream in (the area where the window used to open). This was largely countered by the heater however the air entering the room frequently carried the smell of marijuana into the room from people smoking on the street. As a nonuser this was very annoying. The room faces the street so it was noisy, which is understandable but I imagine if the window were properly sealed the noice level would have been reduced. Conclusion: My next trip to New York I will spend the extra money to stay at a more upscale hotel.
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The room was small but very nice. The staff were very personable and helpful. The location could not have been better, we walked everywhere. Would recommend and would stay again
- 5/5
Staff! Friendly, helpful

I’ve stayed at about 20 hotels over the past two years, and most have been flexible with early check-in. This one was the opposite. They made sure to check in at least 30 people before me, leaving us all crowded together in a very tiny lobby. When I finally got to my room, it was disappointing—extremely small, with the bed practically pressed against the window. The bathroom design was even stranger, with mirrors placed in ways that felt intrusive. Unless you enjoy watching yourself use the bathroom, this setup is uncomfortable. Overall, the abundance of mirrors felt like a trick to make guests think the space was larger than it really is. Do Not Stay Here. I've stayed at Staypineapple's before - in Seattle (very nice).
- 5/5
Very welcoming, beds are so comfortable, was able to get early check-in. Would definitely stay again. Location was great
- 5/5
Great staff, comfortable rooms
- 5/5
Amazing Hotel
- 2/5
The room was very small for the money.
- 4/5
Great location and staff. Loved the
- 5/5
Very clean cute room, I had called to ask about early check in and had mentioned it would be our anniversary that day and they did some very cute small decorations in our room before we arrived which was very thoughtful! Will definitely come back here again sometime.
- 5/5
Loved our stay! The staff was kind, helpful and friendly! Our room, although small, which I’ve heard isn’t uncommon for New York, was great! The beds were so comfortable and the comforters were great! The only thing I wish is that there were 2 water bottles in our room so we could’ve each had one instead of splitting one water bottle. The location was convenient for us and we plan on staying here again!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, room was clean and chocolates everywhere made the stay feel luxe even though it was a tiny NY room.
- 5/5
Clean and simple room. Staff friendly and helpful. Near attractions
- 5/5
The staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of thoughtful touches that are uncommon at the more reasonable end of the cost scale. For wxample:, they have a filtered water station for refilling water bottles (and they provide a recyclable bottle too). I'm in New York a few times a year and this is by far the nicest place I've stayed given the price I paid.
- 5/5
Artistic, fun with creative, eco-sensitive touches everywhere.
- 5/5
Staff were great. Location is very convenient! Great food near by. The rooms are small, as to be expected in New York City, but are immaculately maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was great. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Staff was very attentive of my needs, rooms were small, but very cute
- 5/5
Yes the room was spotless and the staff very helpful and cordial
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and very artfully styled. The staff is awesome and ao helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. PS the pineapple cookies are amazing.
- 5/5
Super nice very cool staff clean and amazing stay
- 5/5
The whole experience was amazing. Check-in is at 4:00 PM, but I got there at 1:30 PM to drop off our bags. The staff handed us the room key right away. It’s a small but lovely hotel, and you can see they really care about the details. We were on the 21st floor, and even though the room was small (pretty typical for NYC), it was gorgeous. We were traveling with a 2-year-old and two small dogs, and they left a stuffed dog on the bed for my little one. They also surprised us with a gift box of candy and a framed note that said, "Enjoy the parade". The bed was super comfy, and everything was spotless. We had a fantastic time.
- 2/5
room too small. no gym. no ironing board -- forget the ironing board -- if it were brought to me there would be no room for it. overpriced
- 5/5
Very clean. Easy check in. Late checkout.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in NYC! The location was perfect ,close to everything. The hotel had a cutesy, charming vibe that made it feel welcoming right away. The room was clean and cozy, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The customer service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. This is actually the second location of this hotel brand I’ve stayed in, and once again they didn’t disappoint. Overall, a great experience and definitely a place I’d stay again!
- 4/5
Clean stay, good location, excellent service!
- 4/5
Elevator
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, free snacks.
- 5/5
The staff was nice. Th rooms were clean and smelled good in the building. It wasn’t too far from the train station.
- 4/5
Nice and clean hotel, and the staff was lovely and very helpful. However, the room was tinier than most tiny NYC spaces! There was no room to walk at all on one side of the bed, and when something fell over the side, we had to move the whole bed to find it.
- 5/5
Clean and modern room located in the center of the city
- 5/5
room was good
- 5/5
Amazing boutique hotel that makes you feel at home.
- 5/5
Yes and yes. I loved the linen and towel quality and the TV remote was easy to navigate.
- 5/5
Everything was great but I still haven’t figured out the bedding situation!!!
- 3/5
The bedding quality is very good and everything was very clean.
- 4/5
We shared a king bed, it was incredibly comfortable, each of us received our own cozy comforter. They attended the rooms daily, with fresh towels as needed. The staff greeted you as you entered and left . The location was central and we felt safe. I wouldn't recommend more than 2 as the rooms are pretty tiny, but overall it was a great hotel for the price. I'd stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean and neat. Nice concept. Staff was very friendly. Good location for all the hot spots.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Such a fabulous stay! Made our anniversary so special! Staff is wonderful!
- 5/5
Rooms were tiny, but staff was very accommodating and amazing. No matter how late you came in you were always greeted by staff.. very cute property
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel, 0nly 10 minutes walk from Empire State building and Macys. Rooms are very well designed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Staff were so good when I had arranged my suitcase to be collected by DHL after we had left. DHL did not collect it on agreed date and hotel stored it for free until it was collected the following day. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
This hotel is great! Room was small but had so many little features to make the most of the space that it wasn’t an issue at all. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, little amenities like the free bottle of water, a beverage upon check-in, and an afternoon treat in the lobby were little added bonuses!
- 5/5
The room was well appointed, clean and kind of quirky in the best way. I love the aesthetic of this hotel - chic boutique with chandeliers, inlaid pineapple mosaics and pays homage to our canine companions. The bed was comfy, and I loved the soft robes & stuffed husky toy available for purchase (proceeds go to charity) … I slept with it every night as I was missing my dog! The location is very good. Easy walk to subway, Times Square, some great restaurants in Hells Kitchen. Would definitely stay again!
- 1/5
I truly believe that this hotel is extremely expensive considering what they offer… the water bar is a total scam as
- 5/5
From the attentive, helpful staff to the impeccably clean, comfortable and artfully decorated rooms, VIP gifts (reusable water bottle and coffee cup), personalized touches (balloons and running journal for the marathon), our stay could not have been any better. Located near Penn Station and an easy walk to the Javitz Center and the Pier, it was the perfect location for the Marathon weekend.
- 5/5
Great staff. Willing to help to make your stay the best rooms are quite small but has everything you need right across the street is a restaurant for breakfast lunch or dinner. Very clean and the beds are comfortable
- 5/5
Welcomed by an amazing staff, bed was super comfortable, and the little pineapple touches were on point!
- 5/5
V clean, friendly staff, great location near Penn Station.
- 5/5
Ery comfortable linens and blankets.
- 5/5
It was a delightful stay and the staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Great, friendly staff! Definitely worth the stay. Will most certainly stay here again.
- 3/5
As NY hotels go this is in a great central location, small but comfortable room. Check-in staff lacked customer service skills. Being in a supervisory position at a resort/spa greeting guests in a friendly welcoming manor is paramount at our property.
- 5/5
The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making check-in smooth and every interaction pleasant. My room was quiet, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches that made it easy to unwind after long workdays. The location was another big plus — just a short walk to Penn Station and Hudson Yards, which made getting around the city effortless. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, this hotel checks all the boxes for comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Room was clean, good area
- 4/5
The rooms are tight but nicely decorated and accommodating.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and just enough space for 2 people for a week! The water station is a nice touch! Great location if you need to stay in midtown.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was cleaned every day. Very good for a couple visiting the city for a few days.
- 5/5
Such a cute hotel!! I booked this hotel because it was so close to our favorite bagel shop as well as MSG, and my husband has always loved anything with a Pineapple on it. I can’t say anything bad about it. I’ve never been to a hotel with friendlier staff! We were greeted every time we walked into the lobby. They provided us with a sweet treat for our anniversary, and it made us feel so special. Thank you to the staff to making our trip even better!
- 5/5
Impeccable service! So friendly!
- 3/5
Parking is not offered by hotel or a discount anywhere around its a nightmare every where is 50 or 65 per day no in and out when youd like. But the area was nice and central to many things
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
It's hard to find a hotel at this price that is not facing a parking lot or some back alley. Really good value and the room is kept in great condition! I was skeptical about the whole "pineapple" theme and even though it's still not my thing, the room was really well maintained and had the most bedding ever. Strongly recommend it! They do give out some nice swag like a water bottle, and a coaster that you can exchange for a drink etc. It's a nice gesture but the world does not need another water bottle, so I'd really recommend that the resources go into more sustainable efforts.
- 5/5
Great location to explore NYC
- 1/5
Booked room on hotels.com Ubered from airport and was told room was not available upon arrival. Had to drag suitcases around New York until a hotel with room available was found.
- 5/5
What a fun hotel! Very artsy and cute. Love all the extra little touches like the free drink and water bottle and pineapple cookies. The room was clean and comfortable, albeit not roomy…but that’s NYC. Bed was super comfortable also. The subway stop is nearby and this hotel is close to Penn Station as well. Will be back!
- 2/5
This is not a resort, yet the property charges $34/night for a “resort fee.” The duvet covers are novel but are also a pain. The front desk staff with the exception of one guy were pretty terrible. They themselves must not be treated well.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, amazing duvets, and pillows very soft robes and the friendliest staff in New York City
- 2/5
Yes
- 5/5
Beautiful, fun decor in rooms and lobby. Great service. Loved the vibe and colours of the room. It was also clean, efficient and the bedding was so comfortable. Free water bottle and beverage are nice touches.
- 3/5
While the concept of the hotel is really cute, the rooms are incredibly small, much smaller than they seem in the photos. The room I was initially put had a wonderful view as it was on the top floor, unfortunately it was very noisy because the HVAC system was on top of it. I was put in a different room after a little back and forth with hotels.com and the hotel staff and I was much happier with this room as it was quiet. There was no full sized mirror in the room without a design or a partition on top of it so it was hard to do makeup and get dressed. Freddy and Paul from the reception were really nice and helpful, there was one other person apart from them who was a little difficult to communicate with about the noise I was facing in my room as he kept insisting that I had been upgraded and I should be grateful for the room I was in and not complain about the noise, my issue was only resolved once his shift was over and Paul came in. The hotel has quirky little cute details, like they offer pineapple shaped cookies in the afternoon, they have a really cute tea/coffee/water bar at the reception, there's a coffee maker in the room, the beds and blankets are comfy, they offer free water bottle in the room and I also got free snacks. Overall, the hotel is nice, the staff cared about my experience and the location is also great sandwiched between 8th and 9th avenue in the heart of midtown.
- 3/5
The room was smaller than expected. The picture left out there was barely any room to walk. Had to get onto the bed to get the bathroom door open. Was surprised to see the sink was not in the bathroom. The room was quite warm but couldnt adjust the thermostat bc it was restricted. There was a 30+ amenities fee but im not exactly sure what amenities we received other than a couple cans of soda. They provide a bottle of water that you can refill in the lobby but it tastes like metal. I have never paid so much for so little. I would definitely not stay here again.
- 5/5
Perfect location, clean and comfortable room, very accommodating staff.
- 5/5
The night staff had the cutest dog, could’ve spent the whole night in the lobby with him. But to the actual hotel, the service and amenities were amazing, could sleep peacefully at night, and overall I felt very comfortable during my stay!! Would definitely recommend and stay again!!
- 5/5
Most incredible beds and water selection ever!
- 5/5
Nice staff… clean boutique hotel. Reminded us of London. The rooms are small. You get what you pay for but when in NYC you sleep and shower in your room and that’s it. They held our luggage for free on our last day. It was nice not to have to pay one of these other day storage places. Will be back!
- 5/5
Is so unique I love the hotel was a nice experience I want to stay again in this place such a cool experience
- 4/5
Easy check in & out, convenient location & cute theme. If you need absolute silence (as in no street noise) to sleep, this might not be a good fit.
- 5/5
We loved the funky decor, cushy towels and robes. The hotel was very convenient with lots to walk to nearby. It was clean apart from when I spilled water on the floor. I wiped it up with a paper towel which turned black so I don’t think the floors are being washed very often. I must not have read the details carefully because I didn’t realize there would be a daily fee. The staff was great.
- 4/5
Good location. Comfortable beds
- 4/5
This hotel is definitely a good one to check out. We stayed here cause it was right next to the train station and Javits center. One down side to keep in mind was no mini fridge. I double checked and it’s not listed but with this being so common in every hotel, wished they would have put this somewhere stating no mini fridge in the room. We bought some stuff that had to stay cold.
- 5/5
A nice stay and the rating would have been higher if not for 1 reception staff who really spoiled our experience.
- 5/5
The hotel was very unique with how the room was to the ropes are.
- 1/5
My stay started great with a very warm welcome and kind and helpful staff. But quickly deteriorated into one of the most rude and incompetent service possible. From keeping a food delivery for over an hour without letting me know it is here to knocking on my door at 11:55 to tell me checkout was at 12, I'll be charged for the extra and i have 1h to leave. That is after i apologized for oversleeping.
- 5/5
What a gem we have found with this great hotel in a very convenient part of the city. The Staypineapple is a simple yet comfortable and clean hotel. And the beds are VERY comfy and gave us a great nights sleep. The staff also could not be more friendly and genuine. Check in was smooth and easy. Love this hotel and will repeatedly rebook!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel with great staff. So many wonderful artsy details sprinkled throughout the lobby, elevators, and room. I absolutely loved the Tommy Bahama Exotic Coral soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided. Having two duvets on the bed was an amazing touch. Great midtown location is a close walk to lots of great sites. Would definitely stay again! I can't wait to check out other Staypineapple hotels in other cities!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 4/5
very friendly staff, water refill, good location although the particular street is not so nice,
- 4/5
Conjoined rooms were absolutely perfect when travelling with teens! Hotel is well located and convenient!
- 3/5
The room we were in, a celebrity room, seemed much smaller and run down than we anticipated based on pictures. The robes were wrinkled and beginning to pill. Not at all appealing. The stuffed dog looked like it had been chewed on previously by another dog. The bed was high in he middle but sleep able. Disappointing overall. The trip was fantastic anyway.
- 4/5
This is a nice New York hotel - funky, fun, spotlessly clean and very comfortable beds. Bathroom was modern and clean with lots of extras intended to make it very accessible. The one downside was the very thin curtains that let street light and noise into the room all night.
- 5/5
Amazing staff. Super friendly who went above and beyond for my nephew for his birthday.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
I loved the Terrance the only complaint is that the room was very small but it is NY I believe no matter where I stayed it would have been small. Overall a great stay and experience.
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
Great option for NYC, and the room was well appointed but be aware that the room is small even by NYC standards. The only challenge with that was that there really wasn't an adequate place to work. If I didn't need to work in the room I would stay again.
- 5/5
Property is great and close to Times Square. The room was large and very clean and the bed was super comfy. There was no street noise which is a big plus! The only complaint which others have mentioned too is that the shower water leaks into the bathroom since there is no barrier stopping the flow of water. Otherwise it was perfect. Would stay here again
- 5/5
This is my 4th time staying here abd it never disappoints me. We love this little hidden gem.
- 5/5
Great location. Staff was helpful and nice.We loved our stay.
- 4/5
Nice and clean
- 4/5
Cute room and view but toiletries provided leave skin and hair dry. Too, shower door is facing the wrong way so when you shower, the water spills out and wets the floor A LOT. We needed extra towels to dry the floor.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Nice bed although the comforter situation was weird. 5 steps to put it on the bed. Would have preferred a fully made bed without the options. The resort fee is a joke. There are no resort options. There is a reusable but inexpensive water bottle with filtered water in the room. No gym, no amenities really except for a pineapple shaped cookie in the afternoon. It would be more honest to eliminate the fee and just raise the rates if that is what they want to do. The front desk staff at checkout was very nice. We called ahead of time to see if our room would be ready early and they said it would but we were not able to get into the room until exactly 4:00. Location was decent - close to Penn Station.
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! I would stay here again.
- 5/5
My experience at the Hotel was excellent. On my way out I was greeted by Kayla and another desk attendant who were both incredible hospitable, but also funny and friendly. Great job, your whole team is excellent.
- 5/5
We stayed at StayPineapple to see a show at Madison Square Garden. The hotel is a few blocks from MSG, and close to Hudson Yards and the Highline Park. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed the king sized bed. We will rerun on our next trip to NYC!
- 4/5
I chose this hotel because of the price and good ratings. The building is old and the decor questionable. But they’re clearly trying to make it a great experience - comfortable bedding, clean, and nice amenities. I particularly appreciated the free bikes which are a great way to explore the city. The location is only good because central - but midtown generally is a terrible dirty neighborhood.
- 5/5
As always with Stay Pineapple…the staff are super friendly. It’s a small chain but I intentionally seek out this chain when booking business trips. It’s the best value out there.
- 5/5
Great team, cute place, great location for shows and restaurants!
- 5/5
¡Todo muy limpio y lindo!
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful!!!
- 5/5
Hotel was clean, close to some amazing restaurants like Tavola and Steak Frittes Walkable to Penn station and Madison Square Garden
- 4/5
The location is good. The room is a little small, but it's clean.
- 4/5
Decent hotel for the $$. Reasonable size by NYC standards. No chair in the room, no bar or restaurant on site. Helpful staff.
- 4/5
Nice stay but extremely small room even smaller than I thought it would be but would stay again if had to be in the area
- 3/5
Service was great but the room was tiny even by NY standards.
- 5/5
Great location for the subway and Train station at Penn. walking distance to Times Square and Broadway. I liked the hotel theme as well as the European bedding.
- 3/5
The room was tight? The air conditioner took up so much space
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with comfortable bed, clean bathroom and friendly staff.
- 5/5
This day was great
- 5/5
Perfectly Splendid
- 5/5
I enjoyed the Room, but I won't be back unfortunately.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Loved this hotel. So clean. Amazing vibe. I felt safe. Beds were comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Convenient location. Pleasant staff. Reasonably priced.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time at Staypineapple in Midtown NYC! The bed was SO COMFY!! The duvets are so pillowy it’s like sleeping with a cloud! The bathroom was beautiful, the shower was large and the sink was gorgeous. Loved all of the large mirrors as well. The hotel gifts you a free water bottle to refill throughout your stay and that was very helpful in the heat, the bottle kept our water cold too! The robes they provide are high quality, heavy, and towel like on the inside. So nice to put on after getting out of the shower. Everything is pineapple themed, even the toilet paper! Staying here will make you feel refreshed, pampered, and comfortable. This hotel also feels very welcoming and accepting for all kinds of people, we felt not only safe but comfortable and pampered as gay & trans travelers. To keep Dash the wolf pup plushie the hotel leaves on your bed, you give them $25 at the end of your stay that they then donate to non profit animal shelters in the area. We did it because it was just too cute it miss out on lol. Check-out being at 12pm was also very nice, most hotels have an earlier check-out. We had an amazing time and we cannot wait to stay here again! They also held our bags free of charge even after check-out! Can’t wait to stay here again!
- 4/5
Good location but pretty spartan hotel.
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
It is an incredibly beautiful clean hotel with super friendly staff. I also loved having two duvets so my husband and I weren’t fighting for the covers when sleeping. The only thing that would have made my stay better would have been to have a shaving ledge in the shower. Other than that, everything was PERFECT!
- 4/5
The hotel is fine. They really love dogs. The women at the reception were very nice and helpful. We supposedly got a bigger room, but I can't imagine what a smaller one would have looked like.
- 4/5
Good location, pleasant property.
- 5/5
Tons of good little touches, the window shades were NOT blackout shades so I woke up at 5 AM every day which wasn't ideal.
- 5/5
Perfect location, great staff, good snacks, comfortable bedding and cool rooms ! What else could you ask for in your first trip to New York.
- 5/5
Amazing. Great amenities and service. Room was so comfortable!
- 5/5
We loved the room and the Art.
- 5/5
Convenient location. Nice size room for NYC!
- 4/5
Small Property in a great location. Didn’t receive any Expedia VIP benefit at all, but would still probably stay there again as it was both clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Great experience for a quick trip in the city for a solo traveler. Centrally located, and friendly staff!
- 5/5
good size room.
- 3/5
We upgraded (or so I thought) to a Cosmo room. But you could not even walk around one side of the bed, and it was so low - it was like a hide-a-bed. It gave such a bad first impression. To spend so much to be in NYC... But the bedding was very comfortable. And the bathroom was roomy enough. It was clean, and quiet! I was also recovering from a broken elbow, so pushing up off the low bed was not something I’d imagine I should have to inquire about. When I asked the gentleman at check out about that and if we were put in the right room, he said it was probably because we reserved from a third party vendor. That they don’t give more room information. But the truth is I couldn’t find anything more on Staypineapple’s site about the rooms. And the prices were definitely higher from them. All in all, I am always pleased with Expedia. But our time at Staypineapple was disappointing. From the bare bones staff and lobby. To the rooms that are like the size of a large master bathroom. Hide-a-beds or murphy beds shouldn’t be a given unless you ask- or are given a deal. I was not impressed with the property itself, unfortunately.
- 1/5
Too much furniture in the rooms and they did not give us the room that we reserved. The hotel is very very low end and has no amenities - there is no gym even though they say that there is
- 5/5
The Golden Arc of your hotel is the professionalism demonstrated by your staff
- 5/5
We had an amazing time staying here for my daughter’s 18th birthday. The rooms are on the small side, but wow - they really maximize the use of space. My very picky cousin also declared this the most comfortable bed she has ever slept on. We will stay here again!
- 5/5
Very clean. Nice little perks - cookies, water bottle, snacks
- 5/5
Bed and European style comforter was the best the whole stay.
- 5/5
Lovely little hotel, watch the video when you check in... Bed was comfortable, everything was clean and well maintained. Great location.
- 5/5
So cute and comfortable
- 5/5
This was my 3rd time staying here. Always excellent and close to Penn Station and all subways and Times SQ. Reasonable price is always great.
- 5/5
There are no refrigerators in the rooms and my pup eats fresh food so I was worried it would all spoil but when we asked the team they were able to put it in the hotels main fridge and just gave me the portion I needed twice a day! Definitely would recommend especially if you are traveling with your pup!

Pros: It is clean, conveniently located, reasonably quiet, has comfortable (and soft) beds. Cons: They charge you $30 a day "amenity fee"... the amenities are basically drinking water and internet. Kinda ridiculous and felt like a scammy way to jack up the room price but have it show lower online. Room is VERY small. Yes, it's NYC and all rooms are small. This room is EXTREMELY small. No mini fridge in the room. You can check your fridge items in/out at the front but it's kind of a hassle. Shower door wasn't sealed properly and would leak a large puddle of water on the floor every time. We went through a lot of extra towels mopping it up. The in-room alexa type assistant device was completely worthless, we unplugged it because it couldn't answer a single question or provide ANY information. They should have saved their money and not bothered with these. They oversold the hip, artsy angle of the hotel. It looks normal with a few small colorful touches. I would call this a very basic hotel and like I said, it was fine.

Nice, some may not like the small rooms, but they are lovely..

Super clean. Very nice staff. Beds amazingly comfy! Small rooms typical for NYC. Great housekeeping! Pics show terrace, but only if you book the one room with a terrace. So no outdoor space at all. Did not honor or recognize Expedia status or amenities. Overall good stay.

The hotel was very well located for Amtrak trains. Very clean, nice confortable beds, good sized bathroom in the "glamour room" and the hotel staff very helpful. Maybe just a mini fridge would complement all the other great amenities. The street was safe as other hotels were nearby as well. Very enjoyable stay.

Staypineapple is one of the most comfortable hotels we ever stayed at. The bedding was divine and the service was incomparable. Amenities were great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The only thing that could be improved upon was a leaky shower causing the floors to be soaked--minor in the grand scheme of things. We would definitely stay here again!

While the room was smaller than i expected, the bed was soooo comfortable! The staff was amazing; especially when seeking close bars/clubs/speakeasy.
