Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's staff, cleanliness, and location in the heart of New York City. The hotel is often described as modern and elegant, with excellent dining options. However, some guests find the rooms small and the noise level high, particularly due to the hotel's proximity to Times Square. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with hidden fees and poor service at the lobby bar.

Excellent hotel in a great central location. The room was great and the view of Times Square was exceptional. We didn’t eat at the hotel or visit the bar so can’t comment on those, but would definitely stay again and plan these in to our time in New York. The staff were all lovely and very helpful when we needed to extend our stay due to issues with our initial flight out. Couldn’t fault the customer service and would highly recommend staying here. We’ll definitely be back again.

AMAZING stay. Great location.

Excellent service, beautiful Hotel.

Stunning design, clean, modern, comfortable, great gym and great restaurant, Le Labo scent and toiletries, convenient location in Midtown Everything was excellent. Couple of things to note: - small issue with dinner one night where it took ages to arrive but in fairness they didn’t charge me - location over Times Square is noisy but that’s the location not the hotel’s fault. If noise is a concern ask for a room away from the square
- 5/5
Great location. Even though we were at Times square, we couldn't hear the noise at night. Concierge was very helpful and made getting reservations easy. The hotel even offered free MOMA tickets.

I recently stayed for a week for a city break on the recommendation of a friend. The hotels location is unbeatable and the bed is comfy and shower amazing. On the negative side the room is very small (I was staying on my own and had to step over my own suitcase in the room each day. The main thing that irked me was the $40 destination fee which is applied each day whether you use it or not. I got room service the night I arrived (fries and a sparkling water is not worth $40) and the other days I just had breakfast as I didn’t want to have my lunch and dinner dictated especially when there are endless options outside. The breakfast was style over substance and not worth $40. If I had known before I went I would not have booked.

The location was very convenient for us since we wanted to be close to Broadway. The sink in the bathroom was cracked, which is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. The room was very small, barely had space to fit our luggage. The bartender on Saturday night seemed unhappy. Gave me a red in wine in a small glass, not even half full. I’ve stayed in other Editions hotels and this was levels below them. This property is not luxurious at all.

Lovely view, wonderful suite, EXCEPTIONAL STAFF. Tips are deserved to each member for excellent quality service as they all clearly know what they’re doing but also have an air of calm that is beyond appreciated by someone like myself. Will certainly be booking again.

Bell boys were not available when I had to leave my luggage in the storage - I had to wait more than 20min. When I left for the airport, they persistently tried to sell me a hotel transfer to the airport for $185,- and told me the Uber wouldn’t be cheaper. I took an Uber for $85,-. I got very annoyed with their aggressive selling. Will not return to the hotel as a result of this behavior.

This hotel is in a perfect location for theater-goers! Very close to all the theaters, but also very close to subway stations if you want to get away from Times Square. Service was truly excellent. Room service was great, tasty, fast, and expensive but not insane. One day I ordered something from Grubhub and the driver left it with someone instead of handing it to me and I thought it was a total loss… 15 minutes later someone from the hotel knocks on my room door and hands it to me! $40/day resort fee but they then subtract that from whatever you buy from the hotel such as drinks or food. The beds are very low to the ground so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem. Pillows are very flat. The bed is on the firm side. You also get 2 free moma tickets with your stay. The main downside was that the hotel smelled like food/grease/smoke/restaurant at times, even in our room, coming from the vents. The towels smelled disgustingly of this food/smokey smell and made me not even want to shower. Each day the towels smelled worse honestly. I don’t know if they just store them in a bad location or what. The bed linens also had this smell, but less strong. So fair warning for smell-sensitive people. This being said, I would definitely come back to the edition!!
- 5/5
Very clean. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The room is very spacious and clean. The room service is amazing, once we gelot back from our city tours, the room was as cleaned and organized as it was on the check in date. The location is amazing, 50 meters from times Square
- 3/5
This place had a beautiful view of the city. My time in the actual room was rather limited. The issue i had with this hotel was that even though i had the privacy sign on the door the room was entered twice while we were not there. We informed one staff member that we didn't want them to clean the room. However someone came back after we left and moved many of our things around while we were out. There was also no hospitality shown when we were trying to rebook due to flight cancelation. We ended up going to book with a hotel across the street.
- 5/5
Loved everything!! The staff and housekeeper were top tier my room was awesome…definitely going back when I visit again

The food was very good The food was very, very expensive!!!!! The charge for a mini can of soda was $8.50!!!!!!!! I had to sleep with the window open because when the temp was set to 70 or more, the temp in the room was about 90 degrees

Also the wooden tile like floor was coming up near the bathroom area
- 5/5
Amazing experience, very clean, staff friendly, perfect spot you can walk anywhere from here without needing train or taxi. Felt safe. I was here Friday to Monday and because of the location o was able to accomplish a lot

Quality of Breakfast Bathroom Layout
- 4/5
The bathrobes in the room were dirty, and we documented this. The bathtub was also dirty inside, with visible stains. Basic amenities such as a toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided, which was disappointing, as these are essential items. We also ordered food to the room, but a completely different dish was delivered, and it was not satisfactory. There was no hot water available for basic needs such as making tea, as there was no kettle in the room. Additionally, the TV was essentially unusable — it was not possible to connect a phone, and the available channels and programs did not work properly. Overall, the room lacked basic comfort and functionality.
- 5/5
Excellent time here! We loved it!

- 5/5
This is a very good, well run hotel. I was skeptical because I avoid Times Square like the plague, but the location worked well for this trip. Asked for and received a quiet room in the back. My room was smallish, but comfortable layout in Nordic minimalist style. Bar, restaurant, staff all first-rate. And how about this — I left a sport coat on checkout and secured its return quickly and easily.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, minimalist luxury! Door guys and receptionist/ guest experience all amazing! The only thing that lets this hotel down ( having stayed twice now ) is the slow/ inconsistent service in the terrace restaurant.
- 5/5
From the moment we checked in until leaving, the staff was incredible. We were upgraded to a King, our room was neatly organized daily-even our phone cords! And we even had a kind note from the housekeeper on our last day. I can't remember the last place we stated where we received such care.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, particularly housekeeping and the rooms are well appointed. Had a great stay!
- 1/5
Booked a room with a city view after getting to the hotel and checking in I went up to my room and the view was looking at the building itself and no view of the city
- 5/5
The room was very small, but hey it’s New York. It was well designed and beautiful. Loved the breakfast space with the “outdoor” rooftop garden and the lounge- and holy moly if you haven’t had millionaires bacon, definitely get that on the breakfast menu- all around a great stay great service would definitely go back. The fact that they also offer you tickets to the MOMA was a nice touch.
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Great staff. Very friendly and attentive.
- 5/5
Excellent in every dimension
- 5/5
We loved our stay in NYC at The Time Square Edition. The staff and food were both exceptional. We were disappointed that the Paradise Club was closed during our entire stay, that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel and felt that should have been disclosed, but other options were a short walk but not as convenient as we had planned. We upgraded our room to have a corner balcony, which my husband absolutely loved, the beds were uncomfortable, very firm, but we would recommend staying here and would again when in NY.
- 5/5
First time staying here. We loved it. The staff were so hateful and happy and just a great energy. The other guests were also so enjoyable. Yes your in times square but so close to everything. And we slept great. The room was nice and clean. We had a bottle of wine and a welcome dessert. I would absolutely go back to Times!

Not a good stay. Staff was extremely rude except for housekeeping. First you have to wait in a long line to get in the elevator to access the lobby to check in. At check in we were the only people at the desk but the staff seemed very disinterested in helping us at all. I asked to have my Marriott Bonvoy number added to the reservation and the front desk staff loudly groaned and said “that’s a process, go do it yourself”. The restaurant and rooftop garden were closed for private events the whole weekend of our stay. The only other common area is a very small lounge just off reception. When we asked (at 11am) if we could just quickly see the rooftop garden overlooking Times Square (a selling point for this hotel) we were rudely told no by the staff. Our room was clean and housekeeping was very friendly. However, the doors to the rooms have a design flaw and if you let the door swing closed the deadlock will trigger and lock you out of your room. Maintenance staff must be called to let you back in. Apparently this happens a lot at this hotel. We were returning from a long successful night at the Tony Awards and had to wait in the hallway outside our room for a half hour for maintenance to let us in our room. When I commented to one of the bellman about the very long wait for the elevators to get in and out of the hotel his response was to snap back in an aggressive tone that I “should stay at a different hotel”. I agree and will stay at a different hotel in the future.
- 5/5
While it was one of a kind, Times Square is not to our liking. A constant assault on the senses. I suppose you have to experience it but once was plenty. Enjoyed other aspects of stay; TWA hotel, downtown, Macy’s, MOMA, etc. A journey through the past for us from the point of view of the present.
- 5/5
amazing in general
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Freindly staff.
- 5/5
it was very nice

- 5/5
The room was stunning: fresh, clean, and beautifully designed with all the comforts you could want. It felt like a calm, luxurious retreat right in the middle of the city. The location couldn't have been better — right in the heart of Times Square, walking distance to everything we needed. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting New York. Can’t wait to come back!
- 3/5
The hotel itself was very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. However, the service was not very good. Although check-in time was 4 pm, our room was not ready until after 6 pm. They offered a voucher to make up for it, but we only found out when we checked out that it could not be used on the day of departure. The food was ok, but VERY expensive.
- 5/5
Wonderful property, great location and excellent service!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great location next to Times Square and Broadway. Both the bar and restaurant are excellent.

We liked everything. Hospitality, maid service, amenities. Fabulous hotel in a great location.
- 5/5
The hotel staff. Room food location fabulous..we have our new timesquare hotel destination when ever we travel to nyc next and again and again
- 5/5
The hotel lobby and bar area was excellent for snacks and drinks. Staff were extremely helpful.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed the spectacular views from my room. Also, the housekeeping staff was very friendly and efficient.
- 5/5
We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The location is unbeatable—central to everything and easy to get around. The concierge team was incredibly helpful with great local recommendations and made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. The car service was a real bonus—comfortable, punctual, and a great help for Amtrak transfers and sightseeing. We also really enjoyed the food; everything we tried, from breakfast to dinner, was fresh and flavorful. The only minor issue was that the shower never got as hot as we’d like, but it wasn’t a major inconvenience. Overall, we’d absolutely return and recommend this place without hesitation.
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly here. Some common issues at most hotels with the condition of the showers over time and not having a fridge (I could use without being charged) in the room was very inconvenient
- 5/5
Amazing staff. Helped all of our luggage to our room. Room service food was great. Will be coming back!
- 5/5
The property is always clean and the staff go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.
- 2/5
Property was very dirty. I had to clean the roll myself with my own cleaning supplies. Also, the room was very small. Didn't look that way on the website.
- 5/5
The staff couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful! My husband and I were both very happy with our stay!
- 5/5
Great hotel. One of the best in Time Square.
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice, accommodating, and helpful. Would recommend this property to all.
- 3/5
Very expensive didn’t like that you had to use two elevators to get to the room. No little table in the room and you had to go to the 10 floor to get to the front desk. No nice lobby. Food very expensive
- 3/5
5 Star???? Smallest room ever! Doormen inattentive when arriving by Taxi on a super busy street. Heavy door and no one offering to open it. Would’ve been great for 400.00 per night but over 600.00 per night!!! Not even in Manhattan!

Hotel rooms dirty Reported and lacked follow up Reception seemed distracted a lot of the time Staff walk past rubbish on the floor.
- 4/5
Great location. Hotel lighting a little dim and appliances outdated but you’re paying for the location. Staff were very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Our hotel of choice as it is close to everything we like in NYC - our favourite restaurants and theatres. Third time in a row staying there and highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great hotel by Time Square. Awesome staff. I really appreciated the $40 credit they apply on food for ne to use.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was close to all the major sights in NYC. Rooms were very clean. Would definitely come back again!
- 5/5
The street noise was worse than expected but other than that the stay was perfect, all the staff were very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Quiet, elegant, Five Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staff was very helpful! The location was practically right in Time Square, 5 min walk to Rockefeller, 15 min walk to Central Park, and 5 to 10 min to most theaters. I will go again and stay there again. The restaurant and food is fantastic too! I highly recommend this place to everyone!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, clean, friendly staff, extremely comfortable and a lovely experience. Room with a view well worth the money!
- 2/5
Not a 5* hotel experience at all. Small rooms, bathroom is just a glass divider in the room. Prior to arrival staff did not reply to emails nor return phone calls.
- 5/5
Great property
- 5/5
Loved the vibe, the location, the smell. Will stay again. I have traveled to the city a LOT and I would recommend this place OVER AND OVER for someone looking for a great location, a modern vibe and a reliable brand! 2 BIG THUMBS UP! 5 out of 5!
- 5/5
Staff was very attentive. We felt safe do to security and area is great to walking distance to everything. If i had one complain was the food menue i wiah they had more choices. However what they did have it was really good!
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, clean and stylish hotel
- 5/5
Love Thks hotel
- 5/5
Great service and clean, modern room.
- 5/5
I stay at a lot of hotels. This one, the service and the catering to your needs is impeccable. This would be the hotel for Miranda Presley on Devels wear Prada. Tip the staff and they will take care of your every need. The room service is on point and the rooms come with a room service credit. Doesn't hurt that they also give you free tickets to the MOMA. The vibe is modern luxury. The hotel is very well kept and doesn’t have any damage visible anywhere. The AC/Heaters work well in the rooms and the rainfall shower doesn’t feel duct taped like some luxury hotels - super nice.
- 5/5
This stylish hotel has charm, class and great bar and restaurants. Rooms are tidy and have all amenities. Could do with more hanging wardrobes, but bathroom facilities are good. Mini bar is extortionate.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent and hotel was clean. Hotel did not produce pictured views as advertised from my city view room on the 20th floor. I called the front desk on night 1 asking about the views, the young man stated “we are aware of our views and they are up for interpretation”. I was offered another room with the same view. Hotel was very close to the Thanksgiving parade which we loved. Close to good food Try the melt shop the burgers are top tier. Times Square diner was great as well. 3 out of 5 due to poor views and misleading photos of the property. I would’ve chosen another property had I known the views were not accurate.
- 3/5
Good Location, clean rooms friendly staff downside we was constantly queuing for the lift as only ever seemed to be one working at a time.
- 5/5
Loved the location
- 5/5
Great hotel with attentive staff.
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Very modern, very clean, and very friendly staff. You cannot go wrong with this hotel especially if you are on a business trip.
- 5/5
Beautiful, smells nice, clean, safe, but the rooms are small… like, small small, not worth the $1000 price tag in my opinion but I slept good so I guess there’s that! Bedding was great and pillows are amazing.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
The hotel staff are so friendly and the services are amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there. The only down side is the room door and walls are not sound proof so we could hear people walking and talking in the hallway. The room is also very small.
- 3/5
The very first room had the terrible view. The heater in second room didn’t work! Finally the third room was ok.
- 3/5
Bar staff not very professional, kept arguing amongst themselves and not acknowledging customers
- 4/5

right before i was ready to check in, i got a call from the hotel telling me that the hotel was over booked and they don't have a room for me. they just sent my reservation to another Edition hotel. It was terrible
- 4/5
Great hotel just be careful for construction noise in the back. Concierge couldn’t change our room
- 5/5
Great service.
- 5/5
It was Amazing. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to enjoy the Times Square experience
- 5/5
The property was what we needed for a night.
- 5/5
Up on the 26th floor, it was very quiet, even when the noise on the street was extreme. The restaurant was excellent, but the best part was the highly accommodating, friendly, and helpful staff. Also, fresh towels and maid service every day, and they came in to turn down the beds every evening while we were out. We had three rooms in the hotel and all were excellent, we really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, love the design
- 4/5
Beautiful, stylish property. Excellent food, great service. However the area on Times Square is very loud, so make sure to ask for ear plugs at reception if you are a light sleeper
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with outstanding staff/service.
