Great place for a quick stay!

Under construction and in pictures looked newer and more up to date. Overall property is warn down.

If you’re looking for something that’s not too expensive, but has a nice view..this is the place for you. Smart TV, amazing view, nice amenities. The only thing is there is not shower door, which was kind of odd for me and my partner. Be sides that everything was vibey, I highly recommend.

Bad management

The rooftop was the center of the Hotel…love the view! Construction was going on so didn’t see the whole beautiful of the hotel! Staff was very nice and helpful! The rooms need sloth update but overall it was ok!

A/C wasn't working often. We have to turn it on and off, but even so it still didnt cool down as the temperature we set. It was quite noisy at night due to the rooftop restaurant.

Also the walls in the room were thin and i could hear the tv and the person talking in the next room. -Alex

The Hotel has great location. The rooms and shower were moldy and greasy. The rug in the room were dirty and the bed sheets had hair like if it wasn't changed.

First there was blood on the blankets and the new sheet they gave me also had blood on it. Another thing is I almost got attacked on the hotel there were staff watching and did not call security or anything…

Restaurant in my 5 th floor room. Outside sidewalk was dirty plus scaffolding was up. Do not recommend.

The hotel is good in terms of cleanliness and staff. They are kind. But the location is a little bad at night, there are no restaurants nearby. But what made my experience super bad was that on the weekend there are events at the Rooftop, so there are drunk and drugged people in the hotel, fights, etc. I also had a super unsafe and unpleasant situation with a guest, he took drugs in the next room and did very strange things, once he was almost naked in the hallway, he screamed, I was terribly scared. And the staff did nothing about it, it was my turn to request a change of room and a refund for a few days when the situation was really terrifying. They must have greater responsibility in the surveillance of guests and in their control and security.

Would like to come back

Helpful staff, great view, good room. There was a party on the roof on Friday night that kept us up until 4 AM, but otherwise, all the weekday nights were perfectly fine.

Overall was a good experience room had a slight smell shower was great and the view is amazing

I loved this hotel. Great location, staff and rooms. However, everything went sideways when we tried to sleep. Turns out the patio roof that I thought would be a quaint restaurant/bar is actually a loud nightclub that stays open until 4AM on weekends!!! This was not mentioned at any time during the booking process. Good luck actually sleeping here on weekends..we did not. Loved the views of the city but I would never stay here again until they do something about the scene. Yikes.

This place the veiw is beautiful staff some are helpful and the others will just watch u struggle with lugguage and no help , firealarm goes off when u use shower . Also broken lamps in room

Rundown. Noisy on the weekend, crowded with partying on the roof. Skimpy with the towels. Loud AC. Beautiful view of Manhattan skyline.

The room itself was super basic. Fine enough for an affordable 1 night stay, but I wouldn’t have expected this to be a 4-star hotel … more like 3. The curtain in my room was partially falling down/off the tracks - though I could still use it. Felt like I definitely wanted to keep shoes on no matter what (floors skeeved me out a bit). The furniture was run down and could use better maintenance. The elevators were kinda gross. (Carpet floors, stinky from hotel rooftop guests etc)

The road to hotel location was so secluded and empty late at night so we had to take an Uber to hotel from the subway station which was 3 minutes and not pricy at all.

I had a really great stay at tends to be busy on the weekends. I was there for a wedding. My room was perfect. It was a beautiful view. My room was clean with a few stains but nothing that would be a big issue. I think it’s great if you want to stay in Long Island city with access to the trains and a very walkable area with a lot of restaurants nearby and it doesn’t feel as crowded as Manhattan.

The room was disgusting; not properly cleaned or maintained. Did not check my pillows upon arrival, only to find in the middle of the night that the pillow case had dried blood on it (not mine). Location is not convenient, overall not worth the price, search elsewhere.

The sink supposed to be in the wash room is actually outside soon you enter the room the cleaners never came to clean the room even though asked numerous times the room is very small for the rate of almost $400. Not a bad place to stay if there’s nowhere else all in all the hotel jus need some attention for it to be better.

Under the bed was dust balls the size of a house and garbage- def needs some updating but for a quick stay it’s ok….

It was really close to Manhattan. We booked a room priced higher but we still got a lower floor room (third floor :( ). Also the rooms could use a real deep clean but it was okay. Daily cleaning was wonderful.

11th Floor view of the city was amazing. Rooms were sound proof and well maintained.

Nice hotel I ejoyed it

GREAT!

Although the staff was extremely helpful, there were two huge roaches in my room. Also, the bathroom doesn’t have a sink. The (VERY SMALL) sink is in the living area while. Also, the faucet of the sink is placed on the side instead of in front of you. Very odd and uncomfortable set up. This hotel is not worth the money.

Nothing You should tell people there’s an entire nightclub on the roof. Couldn’t sleep all night very uncomfortable

I absolutely loved the location, the view from my room was absolutely stunning!! Window stayed open all day and night! Chefs kiss! The only thing I didn’t care for was that I couldn’t go to the rooftop while k was there…maybe next time?! lol

Our room had a fabulous view (which was priceless). Staff were great! There was loud music being played during Friday and Saturday nights. It didn't make for a goodnight's rest.

I liked the skyline view The overall appearance of my room, hallways, and elevator was just dusty grim. The bed was rock hard. At night I could hear the bar in my room on the 10th floor. The desk never answered the phone when I'd call from my room. I asked for new towels on my second night, told me to call the desk in 10 minutes, they didn't pick up. I can only assume the filter in the ac unit has never been changed they way the room messed with my allergies. When I showered one night the steam from the shower set off the smoke detector. Never even got to see the roof top bar due to odd hours. The hotel is in the middle of warehouses so the only thing near by is a strip club

I went there ,checked in got my keys . I went up open the door looked around the room and walked back out.... Not for me .

This the second time I stayed at Z hotel. The first time was at a discounted price so a little rustic was acceptable, but this last time it was double the price, and at that price I will not stay there again. Although the rooms are a little scuffed up, they seemed clean, but the elevators are very dirty and beaten up.

The view was nice. The garbage hadn’t been taken out when I arrived. The tv didn’t work, there was no WiFi, and there was a ‘towel shortage’.

The location was really good. Very well connected to everything if you are visiting nyc. It was noisy in the nights, also they don’t clean the room if you explicitly requested. We stayed 4 nights and they only cleaned 2 and we actually complained

Pros&Cons are the location. If you book a room with a view of the city, it’s fantastic! If you’re looking for a convenient location close to an mta station, I would keep looking. After long walks sightseeing around the city, it’s still over 10 minutes walk (not 5 minutes as others might suggest) from subway. I should’ve done my own research before booking a none refundable 3 nights stay. The bed was comfortable but the room service didn’t provide enough blankets (for the room with a futon), towels, shampoo, body wash, etc unless you asked and the climate control is kind of wacky. We were woken up because it got too hot or too cold (stayed during spring). I probably should’ve asked for instructions but I’ve stayed in so many hotels over the years, that I thought that I had it figured out each night before bed. The view is amazing tho.

The view is the standout, easily the best part of the experience, especially at night. That said, there are some basic misses. The room didn’t have cups or an ice bucket, which should be standard. The TV volume is capped at 13, which is unnecessarily limiting and makes it hard to actually enjoy anything. The WiFi also went out during the stay, which is a problem if you rely on it. Also, expect a $15 resort fee. Overall: great views, but the hotel needs to tighten up the fundamentals.

I honestly booked this hotel for the view. The view and the staff were really the only positives. They really helped accommodate me when my flight was cancelled and I had to edit my booking. Negatives: My television didn’t work for half my trip. when I checked in I was not made aware of any of the amenities in the hotel but when my friend checked in she was made aware of everything and was given drink tickets. There was a weird smell in my bathroom like mildew. I was never able to get a reservation for any of the restaurants.

Great room

My girlfriend and I loved our stay. We stayed for a total of 5 nights. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived long after our check-in time, but it was no issue. We checked in online beforehand, which did cause an issue when we checked in at the front desk, but they resolved it quickly and smoothly. We stayed on the top floor, and we had no issues with the noise from the bar/restaurant upstairs. We were worried about it since other reviewers warned about how noisy it was, but it was minimal. The location of the hotel was perfect for us since we relied on the ferry to get everywhere we could. We recommend this hotel, and we will be staying here every time we return to NYC! Also, check out El Lado Taco in Astoria if you're planning to go to Astoria Park. It's nearby, and it was the best meal we had on our entire trip!

Good location sit across the bridge from Manhattan. A good view of the skyline at night. Rooms are decent nothing fancy but it serves it purpose

Location was decent. We were able to park on the street with no issue which is not common for queens. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. The room was clean . The bed was comfortable. The view of the skyline was great. The water was hot and good water pressure which is a big deal for me. The only issue I ran into was the WiFi stopped working and the TV wouldn’t reconnect to the internet no matter how many times I tried. It was kind of late and I didn’t feel like having to call for service so I just watched TV on my phone. For the price I paid for the room, I would absolutely stay again.

They have a rooftop and i could hear the music all night on-super loud !Even when I woke up in the AM i could still hear the music super loud. Shampoo holder in the bathroom was broken and it fell while i was showering. While doing check in the person who checked us in was on the phone, not work phone, his personal which i find it rude considering that he is there for customer service. Im never going back!

Just bad experience

We loved our room, it had such a great view! Comfortable bed, staff was very welcoming and everything was very clean! The only thing I would say is that the shower head kept sliding down.

The staff at the front desk were professional and attentive. There was a lot of noise if you wanted to rest during the day while rooms around were being cleaned. Convenient location close to Manhattan.

Staff was great! Room was super clean and had the best view. Air conditioning worked great and even opening just the window felt wonderful.

The t.v placement over the bed in the city view room (11th Fl) however is a hazard. As often you can hit your head if you forget to duck down. Also the outlets are covered by furniture. Harder to maneuver and get to.

Nice location it’s under Reno I guess mid winter 2026. So be aware other that not bad. Beds are lower to the ground wouldn’t recommend for 60 and up

The room was dirty and there was no light at the entrance of the hotel room. We told the front desk about it and nothing was done. We had to basically get ready in the dark before going out for Valentine’s Day. Very disappointing

The view is beautiful, but unfortunately, that's where the advantages end. It was really cold because the air conditioner had gaps, and along with the hot air, icy air from the street was also coming in. There's a disco bar above us on the next floor, and the walls in the room were shaking from the music until about 3-4 AM. Oh, and the view from the window is beautiful, but it's not so beautiful through the dirty windows.

Staff was great, but we had trash from house cleaning outside our room near the elevators on Saturday and Sunday The room design - leaves a lot to be wanted. We could hear our next door neighbour’s TV until 2am. The washroom design had. The door is frosted, so no privacy, if you are sharing the room with anyone they can hear you use the washroom. It’s so uncomfortable. There is no way to lock the washroom. Anytime you shower, water falls out. There is no where to hang your clothes or towel in the washroom. There is no place to put a hand towel in the vanity. Cleanliness- there was food in fridge when we first checked into the room. The chair in the room was dirty and the shower walls were dirty. Overall it felt like a subpar experience.

The bed were extremely small... I changed rooms and the heat did not work at all. I tried to take a hot shower and the fire alarm went off. I hand ni choice but to leave to another place.

Cable kept turning off

The black man at the front desk, I really appreciated his professionalism and work ethic l, very patient and kind guy. The rooms didn’t have heat and light for a few hours but he resetted the room and it was good again. I like the hotel, I know it’ll be unstoppable once it fully renovated. It was a great stay but there was a private party in the building on my second night and they lasted music, I was on the 11th floor and it woke me up and kept me up. Otherwise I enjoyed it a lot. They recently re opened so you can definitely tell. Traces of paint and drywall are everywhere. Lots of construction still it seems.
