Reviews
The hotel is praised for its central location and proximity to subway stations, offering easy access to various parts of NYC. Guests generally find the rooms clean and the staff friendly. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the hotel's amenities, such as the limited breakfast options and lack of a mini-fridge and microwave in the rooms. Additionally, a few guests mention issues with the air conditioning and noise from the subway.
- Central location with easy access to subway stations
- Friendly staff
- Limited breakfast options
- Lack of a mini-fridge and microwave in the rooms

The hotel is basic, but it gets the basics right. Very affordable hotel in NYC with great access to public transit. As long as you’re not expecting the Ritz Carlton, you will be fine.

You get what you pay for
- 4/5
Convenient area to everything you can need, train and bus nearby withing a few minutes of midtown Manhattan. No frills rooms, small with all necessary amenities inside. We did not have a mini fridge which would have been convenient for leftovers from our restaurant stops. The only negative i would say is that if you want to leave your bag for an early check-in or late check-out you have to pay and extra fee for a secure area behind the counter if not they keep your bags outside in the lobby "at your own risk" which is inconvenient if you get there early or have a late flight. Other than that, positive experience and nice place with access to a central transportation hub.

Cozy, clean

I took the bus into NYC and I only stayed one night. The hotel was clean and reasonably priced for being so close to the city. Breakfast was juice, cereal and pastries. The subway station was a block away, which was great! I would stay here again.
- 5/5
I like it.
- 4/5
Like the location and eating options around the hotel.
- 4/5
This hotel is centrally located and near a number of subway stops, Court Square and Queens Plaza. The bed was comfortable. It would be nice is there was a mini fridge and microwave. The room is pretty small, but for the $$ it was a good value.
- 4/5
Good location. transportation accessible. price is good, staff are excellent. free breakfast but limited choices
- 3/5
A no frills hotel in Queens, one block from the Queensborough subway station. Room was descent sized with a king bed, full bath. Not much closet storage, but sufficient. Typical basic breakfast of cereal, sweet rolls, and instant oatmeal in the mornings, with coffee and hot tea available all day.
- 4/5
Good place, but a little outdated. Close to enough subway stations that you can get anywhere in the city though. Would stay again!
- 3/5
Place was relatively clean. Hallway on the 6th floor reeked of garbage. Staff were nice. Rooms were fine if a little outdated. When the wifi worked it was great but sometimes there were issues connecting to it. Recommend bringing earplugs to sleep since you can hear everything going on around the building. Overall a good experience in a good location for a good price.

Good people, good place.
- 3/5
Perfectly average but did the job of giving us a clean bed for the night.
- 2/5
My room was on 1st floor but I will said basement. They are construction nearby and I heard the metro. The floor was sticky. The breakfast was very cheap. Thanks god I change my hotel. It was only for one night. They are better hotel for similar rates.

Decent stay
- 2/5
Decent hotel. The wifi is a disaster... no possibility of leaving your luggage the day of your departure... they don't accept responsibility... which is quite annoying.
- 5/5
The people who were in the reception were really nice and helpful 😀
- 3/5
The location is good for close access to the Subway, but the subway is elevated and is turning by this location. The squeeling is not horrible, but it is noticeable. My biggest issue is that one of the two rooms had the Air conditioner not working. After notifying the front desk, it was not repaired and we weren't moved to another room. It was hot and uncomfortable. Opening the window for very long because of the Subway noise.
- 5/5
Stayed night. Would stay again. Met our needs, and pet friendly was a plus.
- 2/5
When I arrived at around 3:30 PM the 5th floor was wreaked of weed. When I returned at 3:00 AM, the weed smell remained. Whoever had the room connected to mine was talking non-stop and making a ruckus — it sounded like they were moving furniture and opening and closing drawers, dropping things on the floor — likely wasted people. I gave them half an hour and a few bangs on the wall before I called the front desk. He went to their room twice. They finally quieted down after and hour or so. The front desk called me in the morning and let me check out at noon.
- 4/5
Cons- I paid for a King size room but bedding was a queen bed and very small room. Smell of people smoking in it Rhee room was coming into our room. I would recommend this hotel, very close to transportation, stores and restaurants.
- 5/5
You could really tell that the hotel was trying to revamp themselves and working really hard. As a plus size traveler I’d have liked slightly larger towels.

No professional

Great value and location. Friendly and efficient staff. Don't expect too much from the TV but the Wifi worked and the shower was nice and hot.

We had bedbugs. My step son's both got bit on their back leaving huge red marks and bumps
- 5/5
Friendly staff The eatin area could be bigger as there is always a line up for seats
- 5/5
Jacuzzi bath was nice. Clean room, good location.
- 5/5
Hotel staff were always very friendly, clean room and restroom, comfortable bed. Will definitely book rooms at the Crescent Hotel if rooms are available for future NYC trips. Thank you so much for a great stay!
- 2/5
But the staff was friendly and polite. Not worth the price or a second look.
- 4/5
Great location. Complimentary breakfast was a lovely additionally touch. Wifi works well in the room but not so much communal areas. Staff are friendly and helpful. Access to two subway stations conveniently nearby. Decor and furniture a little dated.
- 3/5
Staff is kind and friendly. The hotel has easy access to the subway. There are different food and drink shops very close by. The apartment is small but serves well if you need a bed and bath. The morning breakfast is good. I would only suggest a mini fridge in the room.
- 5/5
Without request they changed our bedding everyday and gave us fresh towels. There is no microwave, or coffee in the rooms but you can go downstairs and grab some! At night you can hear the subway but nothing too crazy! I’m a light sleeper and it didn’t bother me. I do wish there was more than one elevator but the location is everything here! Everytime I go to NY I will be staying here.

Is good
- 3/5
It was okay, nothing special.
- 5/5
Sally at the front desk was amazing
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, check-in was very easy. The Queensboro subway station is very close, just at the end of the street, making for easy transportation wherever you need to get to in NYC
- 5/5
Very close to both Queensboro Plaza Subway and Queens Plaza Subway giving you plenty of options for getting into Manhattan, Brooklyn or elsewhere in Queens easily. It's not great if you are a light sleeper since you can hear the elevated trains - but if peace and quiet is your thing NYC isn't the place for you. Also has good access to JFK with an accessible station (Queens Plaza) a couple of streets away that links to the Airtrain. Our room was comfortable with good Heating / Cooling when needed. Not hugely spacious but big enough for a week. If you are spending a lot of time in your room you are doing NYC wrong. Coffee and Tea in the lobby 24 hours and a basic breakfast available from 7am. Good size bathroom with shower over bath. All the essentials in-room including comfortable bed, plenty of outlets, ironing board and a space to hang things. Some of the downsides, all fairly minor. The toiletries provided aren't great and some of towels provided were quite thin. The Wifi was erratic - sometimes OK and sometimes very slow. Easy enough to bring your own supplies and buy a roaming pack - you'll need it for navigating the city anyway. Staff were very polite and easy to deal with. Overall I'd happily stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for clean, well-price accommodation close to the city.
- 5/5
For the price this place was amazing. The staff was great and the rooms were nice and clean.
- 4/5
service was good. i enjoy the daily breakfast served, it gives me an incentive to get out of bed earlier than I would have if it wasn't for the breakfast. Thx for the service..
- 4/5
Budget hotel. Clean. Very close to subway (Lines 7, N and W). Walgreens and many places to eat near by. Breakfast is only continential. Staff was friendly.

The staff were always nice and friendly. The hallways need a lick of paint. My fiancee didnt like how firm the bed was but i really got a good night sleep. The amenities are shared but that doesnt bother me.

Great experience, will stay here again!
- 2/5
The room smelled like smoke and had minimal comforts (towels were tiny, no fridge or microwave, no coffee maker).
- 3/5
Closing to transportation, shopping, dinner, family friendly. Friendly community, plenty of space to walk out.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly
- 4/5
The workers at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived at our room, the heat didn't work, but the staff immediately put us up in a different room. Rooms and bathrooms seemed clean. The beds and pillows were just okay, but at this price in this location, you really can't beat it. Would stay here again.

I picked this hotel initially because it was cheap ($80/night if I remember correctly). When most Manhattan hotels charge double that, plus all kinds of fees, that price seems like a bargain. The rooms, generally, are well-kept. I did notice some discoloration on the tub grout...but I'm OCD, and a normal person would not care (or even notice). The staff have been top-notch to me while I'm in town. They have always responded quickly to concerns or questions that myself or other guests have, and I feel they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is acceptable to their guest's standards. I AM a little disappointed that they got rid of their breakfast (again...I stretch dollars)...however, if it was purely a cost-cutting move I completely understand; especially with the price of everything going up these days. Anyways, go check this hotel out if you're looking for a great value in a great location (it's literally a block from the Queensboro Plaza subway station; a quick 10-15 minutes away for all the touristy stuff and airports...yet far enough away that you don't have to deal with either. :)
- 5/5
Convenient location but the rooms need too be updated.

The person at the reception was very gutsy with most of the customers

The room was clean and neat. Very comfortable. Great location

Great location! 2-3 minute walk from the subway and various restaurants. Great and friendly staff, would stay here again.

Excelente ubicación, muy cerca de entrada al metro que te permitía estar en Manhattan en 15 minutos. Muchos locales de comida cerca.

This hotel is very conveniently located to Queensboro Plaza, where there is access to several subway lines and make it very easy to get into Manhattan, other areas in Queens, or Brooklyn. Not so good if you do not want to ride the subway. Cabs hard to get, Ubers have long wait and private cars (called by hotel) are very expensive. Room was basic but clean. Quiet for NYC. Amenities initially lacking but provided after prompting. They never made up the room, even after we asked them to. Towels like tissue paper. Although the room itself was clean, the building is old and tired, with some peeling wallpaper in the hallways. At $250 per night, it seems like we could have done better.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff was courteous and polite.
- 4/5
This hotel will not dazzle you, but it’s clean and economical and conveniently located for a visit to New York City. It’s close to subway stops, and you’re only two or three stops to Midtown Manhattan or Central Park. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Only problem we had was that our first room was right across the hall from a very noisy ice making machine. We asked at the front desk to have our room changed, and they did so without hesitation. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a visit to New York City.
- 5/5
I have been staying at this hotel many times. The location is excellent as it is very close to the train stations, and there are many places for eating. And it is also clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
It seemed to be used a shelter of some sort. I only stayed there because of the price, which was still way too expensive. This is more of a Motel than a Hotel. To make things even worse the coffee in the lobby is always cold.
- 3/5
No large towels only small ones provided. The rooms need repair.
- 5/5
Working people no good
- 3/5
Not sure why I can’t get a real towel in a hotel that provides a jacuzzi, it’s like you HAVE to bring your own towel or your screwed, and they say they are trying to save the earth, stop it, your are penny pinching in the wrong area. It’s bad enough you have the ancient rooms, outdated tv and the cable of course was being upgraded the day I check out. The only thing good was the front desk staff, very nice and non robotic as most hotel staff have become over the years, I know. I work for a couple.
- 3/5
convenient for transportation
- 3/5
-close to train station and walkable to several restaurants and shops -thermostat/heater worked well -clean bed -good shower pressure bad: -can hear noise from outside due to cheap windows -strong stench of chlorine when walking in -no breakfast, all you get is lukewarm coffee -no fridge in room
- 4/5
Sally @ the front desk is very nice & was quite helpful to me since chking in on 11/08/23. The staff is friendly. The bathroom is beautiful & I love the bathtub! The bed is quite comfortable and the sheets & pillows are pristine clean. Unfortunately the tv has not worked for 75% of my stay and I am a big tv person. The staff has tried though to address this issue, stating they are working on it. I would recommend your hotel to others. Beautiful area!
- 5/5
The rooms were a pretty decent size. It stayed clean the entire time that we were there. The noise outside wasn't as bad a some reviews gave even with the construction happening across the street. Very convenient for public transportation too!
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 3/5
Fantastic staff and location. Good price. Rooms need a bit of updating including better sealed windows (to keep out the noise). Across street from train = good, but noisy. 25min or so to Times Sq. Excellent coffee choices within blocks; good places to eat within a mile radius.
- 3/5
This is a quirky little hotel in LIC that works well enough if you're only there to sleep (and save money while traveling). Zero frills, except weak coffee. People were definitely smoking (tobacco and pot) in the elevator and their rooms.
- 5/5
Receptionist was good. Got a room on 6th floor, was great. Only issue I had was waiting for the lift but other than that it was a great stay albeit loud from the streets but it's New York.
- 5/5
Great for the price!
- 4/5
All of the staff i interacted with were kind and helpful. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage in the lobby while we went sightseeing, as we arrived hours before check in. The coffee was good in the morning. The amenities were a little skimpy- it would have been nice to have a bowl of apples or bananas or something in the coffee area. The beds were ok and you get 2 pillows per bed. The air was cold and the water was hot. The bath towels were thin and did have holes in them. The toilet flush lever required some finesse to flush properly. There was no ice on my floor- it was one of the ones that was supposed to. It was easy to get to- between 2 subway stops and there was ample food options very near. Ultimately i would stay here again. Good value for the money in NYC.

It's good

The hotel knew I was arriving early and leaving very early. I was charged $25 cash to have my luggage wheeled behind the door of the lobby desk. The hotel charge per night is over $225/night and yet I was charged $25 cash to store luggage...never heard of this before.
