Old time charm. The mattress was old. It was caved in the middle. But it was ok cause it was soft.

Good luggage service even after check out. It had two beds. We had a big washroom with hot water. A basin outside was useful. They did not give any water to the room. Bottle water is sold from vending machine at 1.5/500ml. The breakfast was poor, no spicy option. AC was erratic. Water comes out of bathtub even with the shower curtain as opposed to many places which has glass door.
- 4/5
Our stay at the hotel was enjoyable due to its convenient location and great variety of breakfast. We appreciated the early check-in option and the reasonable overall price. The hotel was also clean and smelled pleasant.
- 5/5
I completely enjoyed my time at the Glengate. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom, it was probably the whitest shower scrubbed clean that I have ever seen in a hotel! The breakfast was typical and staffed and polite. The room fridges were excellent! I think as travelers we become accustomed to top notch accommodations, they did not have microwaves in the rooms but offered them on the 1st floor for use, with plates, etc. as well as the major large ice machine on the 1st floor.
- 4/5
The location was great. Service from staff was ok. Would stay again and also recommend it to others. Nothing.
- 4.5/5
It was quiet and convenient to where we were going

Overall everything was higher than expected for the price. I love that the parking was included in the price and they have two espresso machines which I love 😊
- 3/5
It is more then 5 min walk to Clifton Hill if you are older or have any trouble walking find a closer hotel
- 5/5
I appreciate. Rooms are clean, Roku tv, great cappuccino machine in breakfast room, internet works great. McDonald's and Esso next door. 15 minute walk to Clifton Hill. I love the free parking aspect. No complaints for a low budget accommodation. With alot of competition in the area for selection, we will continue to choose Glengate as our winter weekend destination. See you in January.

This is our 2nd time to be in Glengate and we have great time. Best value for the money. Low rates on weekdays. Free breakfast. Quiet hotel. Great customer service. We will come back and tell others as well.
- 1/5
Dirty room and very bad smell
- 1/5
I booked what the called the honeymoon suite for 2 days this past weekend, this place is outdated and dangerous the floor in my room is uneven the tv wasn’t working when I called the office up the got the tv to work after 2 hours in my room the tv wasn’t working with internet so I couldn’t stream anything from my phone, the next day early we decided to take the loss and go back home I’m so disappointed and I would not recommend this place to a dog, I also asked for a refund and they told me they can’t
- 4/5
Ok,small breakfast
- 5/5
It was a great experience, breakfast was included. This was my second time staying there and it is 10 mins walk-in distance from Niagra falls, Clifton hills

- 1/5
Was not able to go due to medical reasons… still got charged.. 133$
- 5/5
Amazing. Love staying here!
- 5/5
A very nice, inexpensive, and well worn hotel. The place could use a refresher, otherwise it was still clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is very good. The Niagara sights and attractions are all walking distance. Will definitely stay there again. Many thanks.
- 5/5
We had a very nice stay, staff was very nice, I liked the breakfast all varieties.
- 5/5
very nice and friendly hotel
- 5/5
Just got back from the property enjoyed our stay … breakfast is included but it is limited and I wish there was a variety buuuttt … we felt comfortable and it was value for money … would stay again
- 1/5
Everything was closse , the balcony was filled with cigarette butts, i had a view of the parking lot. Sticky bathroom floors in 2 out of 3 rooms and dirty bed linens!! Leaking AC unit and That stain was disgusting i had to take the sheet of when i got back from the wedding at 2am because it was right in my face !!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
The people were very nice. I think they might need some upgrades like bed and possibly switch out shower
- 2/5
We went out on the second day and came back and bed was not made and no clean bedsheets left for us either, so we just stayed on the same dirty sheets. The bathroom smells very bad. The girl in the kitchen is a nice girl but breakfast is way too dry and it was same thing first and second day so we just left after the second day. Nothing like continental breakfast at all. The elevator was stinky. Location is ok and close to highway. It is about 20mins walk to the fall which is not bad. Parking was free. However, the hotel management needs improvement.
- 1/5
Cleaning staff don't change the dirty, bloody blanket. Nobody supervising them.
- 4/5
Overall it is decent, but an older property so it shows. However the rates were decent for what was available.
- 5/5
The room is clean and located very well.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean.
- 4/5
Room was very large and in good condition. No complaints.

Very bad one.
- 4/5
Convenient access to Niagara On the Lake and Niagara Falls. Great breakfast. From our room we could see the 10:00 p.m. fireworks in Niagara Falls. On site parking but a bit limited.
- 4/5
THE BREAKFASTWHICH WAS WELL RUN AND THE LOCATION
- 1/5
I had two rooms, and all the rooms were so dirty and so smelly...so so so dirty, all the floor, lobby, and everything, breakfast was so limited, just some cookies, and there were no hot meal options... I don't recommend this hotel, even if it was free!!!
- 4/5
Poor lighting in room over desk area.
- 4/5
Good for the price
- 5/5
Will certainly stay here again
- 4/5
Good place to stay. Close to most of the amenities. Rates are competitive .
- 3/5
Corny location but there beds are uncomfortable
- 2/5
There was dried pee on the toilet seat when we arrived. We checked out early.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff.
- 3/5
Breakfast was the best thing— the hotel is really run down and far from the attractions if you walking around.
- 3/5
Yikes! This place was not inviting at all
- 3/5
It’s ok.
- 4/5
The room was clean nice comfortable beds good size bathroom hallway smell nice ,breakfast was decent more choices will be good idea, small breakfast room tho ,friendly helpful staff .
- 5/5
Nice and in budget hotel
- 4/5
This hotel was located in a fairly decent area - right in the middle between McDonalds and a weed shop. No homeless problems but kind of meh for the area rating. My room was clean, nothing was broken in the room and the A/C worked fine. The staff was excellent and that helped the rating. The breakfast was Continental - translates to "Poor". Well, that's not totally fair but it is accurate. Cold cereal, bread, bagels, waffles and coffee. Nothing bad but nothing to be excited about either. The location for getting to the Falls or to Tourist Hell is good. 3-5 minute drive will get you to either location. I'll let you learn about Tourist Hell on your own - if you've ever been to the West side of Kissimmee by Disney on 192 you'll know what I'm talking about - but this is about the hotel. Like I said, my room was clean and comfortable but we did have a few issues. 1. The parking is TERRIBLE! The hotel shares a lot with a mosque next door and there is prayer time about 4 times a day. You will NOT get a parking spot. Best thing is to drive around for 15-20 minutes then come back. 2. Hot water. Get up early if you want a hot shower. Might have been totally booked to cause this but take my advice and shower at night or very early. That's it. Not a bad hotel by any means just a little worn, parking not so great and neighborhood a bit meh. We would stay again.
- 3/5
It’s nice but the lady at the reception desk is rude .
- 3/5
There were no drawers to put your clothes in. The shower curtain rod was hanging from coat hangers. The mattress was worn out. The decor was outdated. The room was big and the hot tub worked well.
- 5/5
Was a very easy night and was upgraded without asking ‘
- 3/5
Room was ok. Shower small. Could add more select on the breakfast. Old style window air conditioning load and no settings for control like a thermostat. Not worth cost paid on room.
- 5/5
All best
- 5/5
Vraiment parfait. Très propre et petit déjeuner parfait.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 2/5
Did not like the smell in the hotel, it was very bad.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Beds were a bit rubbish. Far too soft. Guess that’s personal preference tho. Free car park too was helpful.
- 3/5
The breakfast was good, staff very friendly,it was quiet even with it being full. The rooms could use some updating and the aircondition it would be nice if it ran continous instead of going on and off all the time. Bed was comfy and we would stay again
- 3/5
Mattresses were very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Very clean
- 2/5
Most of the staff were pleasant. On my last day, I asked for the room to be made by leaving the sign provided on the door handle. Upon return that evening I found all the dirty towels in the bathroom and the beds unmade. I informed front desk who told me she can provide clean towels and then asked why were the sheets dirty. I had to argue with her to receive clean linens and the dirty linens were not removed until the next morning. Room was poorly cleaned. They don't clean the bathroom during your stay, they only give clean towels.
- 4/5
It says 5 minutes walking to Clifton hills, but it takes more than 20 minutes to walk, as we had our baby on stroller we had to drive to downtown and pay extra for parking, overall it’s good for budget, with good service and great breakfast
- 4/5
Sed scrsmble egos snd Bacon please 😅😅😅
- 3/5
Didn't like room not having a phone that doesn't work and no hot water to shower
- 1/5
dirty, bed sheets were not clean they had makeup on it, front desk receptionist was very rude, not satisfied with the room
- 5/5
Great service awesome breakfast easy parking
- 1/5
It had a really bad vibe and we decided to stay somewhere else.
- 3/5
Took a copy of my drivers license rather then filling out the paperwork.
- 3/5
.
- 4/5
convenient and walkable to Niagara falls and clifton hills
- 5/5
Fair prices close to Niagara Falls
- 4/5
Older hotel, but maintained clean. Staff were helpful and very polite, especially at the breakfast room. Very clean breakfast room with plenty of fast options for breakfast ( waffle press/toast/cereal/boiled eggs/coffee/juice). 20ish minutes walk to Clifton, easy enough even for my 10 year old. A bit of challenge to park a truck, with some tight parking spaces, cars would be no problem.
- 1/5
Smelly and moldy property. Dirty everywhere. Blood stains, sheets and towels had stains.
- 3/5
y
- 3/5
Pillows are uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Parking is included, which is nice
- 4/5
This property is near to (walkable) Clifton Entertainment area, so naturally space is premium and rooms and parking cannot be expected to be very large. Overall it was okay for one night and I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Niagara for one night. One hot item could have been added to breakfast though (like scambled egg or something)
- 5/5
We had a great time at this hotel.
- 4/5
Would stay again
- 5/5
It was a nice stay, the lady in the front desk was nice and prepared a crib for our baby, room was of good size, convenient location about 20 min walk to the falls.
- 1/5
A/c doesn’t work in room. It was colder in the hallway than the room. Weird smell throughout hotel. Only good thing was reception lady. Patient and beautiful 😻
- 5/5
It was a great experience I loved the staff very helpful and very understanding
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious rooms! Nice high ceilings and beds were comfortable. Staff wa friendly and very quick check-in and check-out. Great waffles included in the breakfast!
- 1/5
The food is bad since we came it’s same food since we left.. the bed is over used and there a hair on the pillow ..the room smell bad not coming again in this hotel
- 3/5
It's quiet and the staff is nice!
- 3/5
The hotel was fine and served its purpose. It’s definitely no frills and parking is terrible, but it was clean enough for a trip where we didn’t plan to spend much time in the hotel.
- 4/5
Everything was okay. But be sure the property is bit far from Clifton as compared to other ones. 15 minutes walk till sky wheel.
- 5/5
This place has charm. The tall ceilings in the rooms and the old fashioned details made this place a delight. We walked to the Falls and around to eat and shop. After we parked upon arriving we didn’t use our car again until we left. I traveled with family and all four of us would stay here again. We enjoyed this charming and sweet hotel.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was good too.
- 3/5
old carpeting. Needs upgrading. Area not very well lilte. Parking not very safe.
- 3/5
It’s clean, but plumbing it’s not all that great! Also TV cable suck you can’t watch many channels and the one you can see look horrible! It’s an old fashioned hotel including the bed and bedroom.
- 3/5
Did not get room made up as requested, no replacement of cups, bed not made up, only towels replaced.
- 4/5
Free parking in the back of the hotel, only a 20/30 minute walk from the Falls and about 10/15 minute walk from Clifton Hills! The hotel itself is a little run down and on the older side but the staff was very sweet, the breakfast was tasty, were there dirty spots of the hotel in the room? Yeah, but this hotel is cheap and convenient!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, they even held our bags so we could go do stuff while waiting to be able to catch our bus to the air port. Jacuzzi was relaxing.
- 5/5
Im satisfied with their services. We just didnot like the smell on the first floor
- 5/5
Since the hotel provides only breakfast, I expect microwave to be available to heat some food, I would have loved to have a relaxing chair than straight ones and a table to write.Other than that I enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
Had to pay extra to get a King bed. Plenty of other hotels were available. Upgraded room was clean but had no shower. Expedia rating was highly inflated.
- 5/5
We unexpectedly needed another night in the area. Hotels are so expensive here and the price for this stay was great for what we got. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Very convenient
- 4/5
Walking distance to the falls
- 4/5
Breakfast
- 5/5
Great Stay! Recommendable.
- 5/5
Recommendable.
- 5/5
I love everything
- 3/5
Older hotel in need of some upgrades. Carpet in the room was pretty old and the area rug was curled up in one corner and was a tripping hazard. The TV was old and slow. The staff was great and the breakfast was good. Overall a decent place to spend the night
- 4/5
Friendly staff.

The hotel is completely unaccommodating to customers’s needs. We booked for two nights but my husband and I had an emergency due to which we wanted to cancel for the first night. We requested the hotel multiple times through Expedia twice and I personally contacted them latter my husband called them as well. We called them a day and half in advance through Expedia, explaining our problem (we were well in advance calling and informing them). However there were no efforts made to change or accommodate or adjust the prices or even give a one time exception. Instead they blamed us saying we did not call them sooner, which I don’t understand how could I have know about an emergency sooner. And the lady at front desk said if you booked you would have been sure, so we don’t understand why you want to cancel. Which made no sense to me. It felt like they didn’t really care what their customer was going through (all they cared was about their business). I don’t think any business runs without the customer. The hotel also isn’t too bougie. I’ve stayed at multiple places but never experienced such a bad customer service ever. The manager and the woman at the desk were extremely un empathetic and kept replying “this is our policy” over and over again rather than providing a solution. I’ve seen extremely giant businesses accommodate to customers need and bend over their policies. I don’t think they care about anything apart from their money.
