Love this hotel. Our 2nd year staying and we will be back!

We stayed for a week. The room was wonderful and clean. However, when we were scheduled for housekeeping mid stay, they made the beds, put clean towels on the table, left dirty laundry on the floor, and didn't refill any coffee items. They also never vacuumed and this resort is attached to a beach... The bed was also absolutely terrible. I would like to point out that there is no bathroom directly within the pool area. Your choices were a port a potty outside the gate, or going into the elevators. As you can imagine, this proposed quite an inconvenience with small children. Pools and beach access 10 out of 10.

10/10 recommend. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And they are EVERYWHERE to help, even with loading and unloading luggage. Room was very clean and spacious. They have activities everyday for guests. We especially enjoyed the Hawaiian show!

We had a wonderful stay. The amenities left nothing to be desired because it had everything we could need. There was a washer and dryer snd a little kitchen with a stove, microwave and full refrigerator in the apartment and in the bathroom there was even a draw line across the shower and jacuzzi so you could hang your wet washcloths. June 8th was our anniversary and when the Bellman knocked on the door with the complimentary wine on ice wrapped in a cloth napkin with wine glasses and chocolates, we were pleasantly surprise and we loved it! We Sat on the balcony and listened to the peaceful roars of the ocean and also enjoyed looking down over the pools with the DJ playing songs for the sun bathers, swimmers and tube floaters. We felt as if we were treated like we were royalty. Always to be remembered.

Resort was very clean, the room was nice, and the staff was friendly! We had an ocean view balcony which was our favorite spot to relax at. The kids were a bit unruly at the pool so we mainly stayed at the beach, which the resort has easy and quick access to with rentable (but pricey) beach chairs from the city. Location was perfect from the ocean and everything you need is within a 20 minute drive. There’s also a Main Street with great pizza and ice cream shops only a 10 minute walk away which we visited often. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay!

Avista is a nice value for families looking for an affordable beach vacation. Beach access is great, walkable to good dining choices and the pool is huge. No extra charge for parking. Restaurant on site is affordable. The beach view from large balcony was nice. Overall a great 3 day stay

Large property directly on North Myrtle Beach. Rooms were large and had full kitchens, bathroom with tub/shower combo. Living room with small couch, chair and TV. A kitchen table with 5 chairs. Balcony that faced the beach as well as the pool area.

Staff was friendly, it was great place to stay, room was bigger than I thought it would be. Right on the beach and walking distance minutes away from shops, other restaurants, night life, etc. Definitely will be back!

This property was great! Close to every thing! Clean, convenient to the beach and restaurants, and comfy beds! The parking garage was across the street and small parking spaces.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I arrived at the resort early and was able to check in 3 hours before my time. My room was ocean view, and it was amazing. It was super clean and comfortable. It was indeed the best resort I have ever stayed in at Myrtle Beach. This will not be my last visit. My family absolutely loved it!!!! I have no complaints!!!!

The resort is in a great location. It was walking distance or a short drive to a lot of restaurants & stores. My only suggestion for dining in the hotel resturant is pack some patience but once you get your food, it is good. If you got a good parking spot, I suggest you walk to where you need to go.

The property was well maintained and clean with friendly staff and beautiful ocean views.

Everything was in walking distance. Even the beach strips had restaurant and more to walk too. Resort had food and restaurant on site even a lounge bar that open until 12 midnight with a pool table available. Beach access was second away. Adults can sip on the pool side. Even when I didn’t feel like a pool day or beach day I could watch my girls from My room view! One bathroom.. it’s was total 5 of us lady’s and young lady’s but we made it work tho

Our oceanfront king room was great! The pool area was amazing and the staff is so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. This was my second time there and I will definitely go again!

Hotel was good and clean, friendly and helpful staff. I didn’t care for the pools, lazy river or hot tubs, they were too small and way too crowded. A big negative was that there was no bathroom access in the pool area, you have to go up one floor in the elevator to the lobby to use it, so if you have more than one kid this is a big negative. The “welcome kit” was just another sales pitch by the hotel managing company, so for me overall it’s a 7.5 of 10 for me.

Resort was amazing. Very clean and well maintained. The parking is absolutely AWFUL!!! The parking is across the street from the resort. The parking deck was not made for SUV’s or trucks. It’s VERY TIGHT to squeeze a vehicle in and out of a parking spot. My husband is handicapped and only once during our stay were we able to actually get a handicap spot. They have a grand total that of 8 spots. The resort really needs to do something about the parking situation.

Overall we were very pleased with the resort. Even though we were on the 16th floor the elevators moved rapidly. Bell hop staff were very friendly & helpful (particularly Frank & Coach). Location is good, approx. 2 blocks from Main St & a few restaurants. Hot tub jets could have been a bit stronger, our tub/shower faucet pressure was a bit weak and the room safe should be elevated off the floor for ease of use; relatively minor complaints. We would stay there again, which is the best review. Good communication with Avista via email & phone.

We stayed in an Oceanview room, room was a little outdated but was clean and comfortable. Our room had a floor fan for you to use as well as a baby gate that would be helpful to families with kids I thought both of these were nice additions that you don't normally see. We will definitely stay again.

The room was clean and cozy The staff member who checked us in didnt have great customer service communication. She seemed passive aggressive during check in and then later that day we went to the lobby to see if there were any local food vendors/deliveries near by she responded “what”, “we do not solicit other people’s business’””if you want food you have to go pick it up or doordash”… we didnt appreciate a response such as that one, especially after spending $1,000 for our nights at the property. We’ve stayed before and usually we get pamphlets at our door with local places that deliver food. Other than the rude encounter with the check in lady and the rooms water pressure being extremely low, the stay was decent. Probably wont recommend to anyone looking for a hotel though.

The staff was excellent. We had a great time and loved every minute of it. We had 2 chairs and an umbrella set up in the beach for us. For 2 days with our name on it, it was just wonderful. So I highly recommend a Avista for your next retreat. I know that this is our go to place.

the hotel is at a great location on the beach very clean, rooms are nice and pretty clean, it is an older location the hallways need updated with new carpet. the parking is across the street the only thing that I was there by myself and no security at night didn't feel comfortable with that. The dinning at the hotel was not the best needs to be upgraded on only at there once in my 5 days of stay.

Great room for the price. Pretty view. Excellent pools for the kids and easy access to a great beach! Only minor complaint is the size of the beds. They are tiny and barely comfortable for 1 adult and 1 kid. It would be tight with 2 adults.

Wonderful! The parking attendants, front desk staff, cleaning staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly! Although the condos are dated they are very clean and spacious! We will definitely stay here again. The only not so great thing is the parking deck is across the street and the spaces are tight. Highly recommend!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. We had a nice beach view, but not where we could see the sunrise. The rooms were well-equipped, including the kitchen area, but the beds and other seating were too firm for us older people. However, we were able to enjoy visiting with our family to celebrate a grandson's graduation. Overall very nice!

This resort was wonderful, we stayed in a 1br suite on the 17th floor. Me, my wife, and our two girls 5 and 2. This resort won us over, from the rooms, to the amenities, to the staff, we were pleased all around! The room was plenty big enough for our little family and we felt very well accommodated in all aspects. we’ve been going to a different resort for years and this will definitely be our new getaway spot.

Wonderful stay at The Avista. It was convenient to have indoor and outdoor pools and Hot tubs. We used the outdoor and indoor hot tubs and frequented the poolside bars. Our unit was well maintained and clean. The grounds and outdoor amenities were clean. I would advise a refresh of the fitness center. There was also an indoor bar/lounge but it was really quiet. Great to be on the beach. Great location close to Main Street where dining and bars are. We went in early May.

Our first experience was meeting Jose in the unloading area. He is such an asset! He helped us unload, get into our room and checked everything before he left. Every day after that when we saw him, he always asked how we were and if we needed anything! The elevators seemed to close very fast. My fiance is disabled, so it was a bit of a problem.

The room was good size, view was okay but we knew it was a partial ocean view the other part was parking lot not a big deal. Nice that they have so many pool options. And restaurant was helpful for cooking items I forgot and did not want to run out and purchase. We loved that we could walk right to the beach and it was so close to Main St and a quick drive for many other attractions. And it was clean- some construction things going on but they were working on it and there were signs notifying everyone of what was going on. The walls are paper thin, we could hear our neighbors and hallway guests all night long. Room was good sized but had lots of furniture we had to constantly move around to make the Murphy bed work we stored a coffee table in our bedroom so it was one less thing we had to move every morning/night. The tub faucet was hard to turn and got so hot it would burn you if you accidentally touched it. The pictures I find deceiving. I booked because of an instagram ad that made the lazy river look amazing… I am 5’3 and almost hit my head off the wall of the lazy river when I leaned back in the tube. The parking garage is tight for getting in and out as well. The smell of the indoor pool is nauseating. Overall for the money paid I did expect a better experience than what we had.

I stayed in room 227 it was beachside King room and there was no obstruction to my view it stayed perfect temperature no matter where I put it on the thermostat it was right there and it had everything we needed for our stay including dishes which we loaded in the dishwasher before we left the staff was amazing the room was spotless I was definitely impressed.

The location. The decor , the staff friendliness . No daily room cleaning . No stand up shower . Dinning area decor not inviting.

The price, please have some sort of financial relief for the loyal customers.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is in a great location that’s literally on the beach. I appreciated having a full kitchen and washer/drying in the room. There was even a dishwasher! My favorite thing was the balcony that faced the ocean, as I enjoy hearing the surf. One day I had an issue with my air conditioning unit but I was fixed immediately. I would absolutely stay here again. With its indoor and outdoor pools, close proximity to the beach, and all the room amenities, this location would be an excellent spot for a family vacation too!

Customer service is top notch in every area, location is perfect, music by the pool is fun for every one. Food is great and not too expensive. Parking across the street. Cars do not obey the pedestrian crossing signs.

We had stayed here in the past and had a great ocean front room. However, this time our room was on the left side without a full view. Front desk lady said it was ocean front.The room had a smoky dirty smell and the front desk sent a an ozone machine which helped briefly. I am highly allergic to smoke and perfume orders.They offered to switch rooms but after a long day of travel, we decided to stay in that room, 1403. The bell man was very helpful and agreed that the room had an unusual smell. The carpet was dirty because when water was spilled, we cleaned it up with a white towel and it turned brown. Needless to say, our visit was not as nice as last year.

We had a room on the 17th floor. Beautiful view! Room had everything you needed. Wasn’t the cleanest and the food was awful but the beach and pools were awesome!

This was my first time staying at this resort. The ladies at the desk were amazing- check-in was fast, courteous, and informative. The door was difficult to close and required a little more effort than usual. The room was great- lightening, spacious, and very clean. We had a ocean view overlooking the pool. Overall, it was a great first stay...hopefully, the next stay is even better.

We love this place! It's very clean and well kept. The location is walkable to many restaurants and bars. We usually close out our evenings shooting pool in the Tree Top Lounge on the 4th floor!

The ice maker was beeping whenever it was making ice and we didn’t know that was what was making the noise so for a little bit it was distracting and confusing. My husband finally figured it out and was able to turn it off, and wasn’t a problem afterwards. Additionally our Tv remote never worked, we called down thinking it might have been a battery issue but the staff brought up a new set and shortly after it stopped working again. Also the parking garage is very small, so you need to be extra careful going up or down and in each parking spot. The pillars made it extra hard to park a larger vehicles, we had a minivan from our rental company. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. The pool area and the mini beach leading up to the beach were what made the trip for us with a child. Ultimately we would stay here again, there were just some thing’s that we needed to learn.

The indoor pools were very nice. In fact they were better this time than the last time. We stay every year during March/April. The grandkids love it! The room was nice and the view was spectacular. We enjoyed everything! Could be better supervision at pool area. Their were some young children running and jumping around and in the pool and I was waiting for someone to get hurt.

The overall cleanliness, the location with view’s was amazing, the staff was excellent, and the fact I feel safe enough to bring my children to this facility says a lot! I loved everything about this property!

EVERYTHING! This was our first stay at the Avista and needless to say we WILL be back someday! From the time we arrived and checked in until the time we left I seriously cannot say enough of how much the Avista impressed me and how wonderful our stay was!! We felt very safe, welcome, happy, well all the feels really that a beach trip can bring you. We were down for a few days for a wedding and left yesterday and it was a very sad day lol. So looking forward to our next trip!! There's only 1 thing that I didn't like and it was the parking! I don't mind it being across the road I guess but it was not very roomy at all. It gave me the impression of a "cookie cutter" design and it is EXTREMLY tight in both the parking spaces but especially the turns.. I had more than one close call trying to get in and out of it. I drive a Toyota Sequoia and did actually get a parking permit to park in the oversized vehicle lot but only got to park there 2 times. I would highly enforce the ticket issuing because no big vehicles could get in there due to the small and compact cars of lazy people who just did not want to take the time and energy to go in the parking deck (if they even had one) It could have been public who parked there to avoid paying parking in a public lot. Either way that's my only complaint is a bigger deck or enforce the small vehicles ticketing and leave that lot to the ones that really need it because the parking should not dictate what you drive down nor should it keep you from staying at the Avista! I will say it's not a deal breaker to keep me from returning that's for sure it's just not ideal in my book

Nice resort. We stayed in one bed ocean view unit. #527. The HVAC was poorly designed. One small vent in bedroom. The living area would be cold, bedroom not getting enough air and stayed hot. If it was running you were cold in there but as soon as it cut off it would get hot.

We had a lovely time at the Avista resort hotel. Our room was very clean and we had a great ocean view. The pool area was good for children and adults with two pools and a lazy river. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Some parts of the resort needed a little repair but overall our stay was very pleasant.

Enjoyed having a kitchen area, even though we only used the coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. We easily could have made meals there if we wanted to. Also, appreciated the living area was separate from the bedroom. We also liked the whirlpool tub in the bathroom. Great ocean view too!

Jenelle works the receptionist desk. Very knowledgeable. Amazing room with a perfect view- ocean front - so relaxing. I stayed in 2 queen beds with Murphy bed. Surprised they have full stock kitchen. So nice. Wine glasses, dishes, real silverware instead of plastic ware, bowls, mini dishwasher, double stack washer /dryer. Coffeemaker easy to use. TV’s in bedroom, to den. The staff were super. Frank helped us check us in , rolled out luggage to our room the 1st night. Even unloaded the cart. He brought me a box fan. I forgot mine. We ate at the restaurant, the ladies who work there. Have a great customer service. Excellent waitress’s. Breakfast buffet delicious. Dinner was very good too.

It was wonderful just like the last time I stayed! I loved the private room down the hall way, while my son & friends enjoyed the wall unit & sofa bed in the living rm. I loved the ocean front balcony on the 4th floor per my request. Also a big beautiful tub; washer & dryer in room, as well as a dish washer & kitchen. There's plenty of pools inside & out & a spacious hot tub inside as well. There was a malfunction w/the shower handle but they came & tried to fix it. After that the water pressure was very low, but we could still shower.

One other minor complaint, is the coffee situation. The coffee in the room is horrible, our packs of creamer had to be expired of bad, the powder was litterally stuck together & just looked very old. The only option is to purchase from the restaurant, and the coffee is super blah. For this type of resort, I feel coffee should be an automatic accommodation within maybe the lobby area, as even much cheaper standard hotels provide & it should be free! Coffee is a common thing across the board, that I’m sure MAJORITY of guests enjoy. Other than that single incident, and my small complaint per usual we had an amazing time. The condo and view were literally PERFECTION (high floors are the best). The resort itself will keep kids busy, and beach is so beautiful. Condo SUPER CLEAN and absolutely spacious!!!

Paid for ocean front and got a corner room on first floor and could barely see the ocean, more of a pool view, room #103. Everything else was great!

The room was great! It was spacious, clean, it had everything you needed and more from a hotel and the air conditioner worked perfectly. Overall, the hotel was amazing and I will definitely be coming back.

We WANTED to love our stay here so much. It seemingly had all the elements for a great vacation (beautiful beach views, close to fun activities) but we ended up leaving our stay a day early because too many negative things happened at once and we wanted to move to our next destination. Since we weren't sure if the weather in Myrtle Beach in March would be warm, we booked this specific resort because of its indoor pools. Those were nice until one started leaking and it took the majority of our stay to fix. The hotel garage was under construction and the pool bars weren't open on the weekdays, which we found odd for a vacation destination during spring break. It felt eerily quiet for this time of year, which we realize could be due to the cooler weather, but we wished someone had told us ahead of time this was probably a better spot to choose for May through the warmer months when we could really enjoy the beach and the maintenance at the hotel was finished.

Great location and amenities! My biggest complaint would be the towels- the bath towels and the beach towels were teeny tiny, didn’t even fit around a body.

TV did not work properly. They collected $250 cash at check.in which we wete not informed of so had to pay $5 to get cash from ATM Checkout was held up for 15 min while they went to check room before they gave us our $250 back. Ridiculous process.

Beachview was excellent

We had a very nice time. Room was very clean, had everything we needed. The only drawback was this time of year there was no snack bars open by the pool. We arrived around 2:30 and even the restaurant inside was closed. The weather was perfect, so it’s to bad they don’t have something open outside. I would still stay here again, nice property.

Overall stay was good and the room was nice. The room key didn't work on the first 2 attempts, but they did get that resolved. The elevators for the parking deck didn't work on floors 4 through 7 which meant for some serious hikes up and down steps more than once.

Beach view was minimal. Obstructed by buildings. Very nice rooms, very nice and informative staff. Pool was okay but tge big pool was closed because they didn't want to clean it for the tons of guests in the pool area waiting to swim!!

The washer dryer combo in my room never worked I washed my closes a couple times wouldn’t drain kinda mildewed. The staff gave me 5$ in quarters to do my laundry for a week I wasn’t expecting to spend two hours of my vacation every other day on the 4th floor doing laundry. I wasn’t going to leave my laundry wher someone else could take it. They told me it needed a part that wouldn’t be fixed during my stay. The water stayed in the washer in my room 6 days not good Ice maker didn’t work The dark haired lady in the afternoon had zero hospitality. The two attendants Coach and Jose were the best

Great stay - we'll be back for sure --- a few concerns to mention... and some great comments as well... the room had a musty smell, TV was not a smart tv, so we were unable to login to our Netflix account etc... no option to connect at all, could not even mirror to the TV, local stations only which was not good - this is a must fix for future guests, especially when it was raining and TV was the focus. Couch was not very comfortable - but it was a pull-out bed which was nice, TV in bedroom would not turn on, blank screen - couldn't figure it out... overall some great positives as well, room was fantastic, lots of space, much bigger than expected and having the separate bedroom was great - view was amazing, great balcony with tremendous space, beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. We used the kitchen the entire time and liked having the dishwasher. A/C worked great when used, and the breeze from the Ocean was awesome with the balcony door open. There were two Full size beds in the bedroom, a murphy bed and a pull-out couch, plenty of space for sleeping - the pool areas and amenities were great as well - very clean and well kept. Great walking distance to main street and parking was easy -- outside fo the few concerns - we loved the stay and we'll be back. I did want to mention that you don't get the room you saw when booking - we were in a completely different set up "reversed" from what the photos showed on-line when we reserved. Great stay overall though.

The only thing I would like to see change is the restaurant onsite. The menu was very small and did not offer a variety, my husband and I were very disappointed as we had eaten there a couple of years ago and it was good.

The property was nice, and the room was very well appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. Unfortunately, there is no air flow, and it was impossible to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Also, none of our devices were ever able to connect to the Wi-Fi.

Room was not what was advertised in the Expedia app. Oceanfront room was a view of palm trees and the hot tub full of drunks from the 1st floor. Couldn’t even use the balcony and it was the only reason I go to the beach. Staff said the room online is not the one you are promised. If that matters to you go to a different website and guarantee your room.

Came in the off-season while it was snowing but was still very well taken care of. Room was spacious and had all the amenities one would want. You are literally yards from the beach as well. Staff was nothing but extremely kind, helpful and awesome. Will be staying here again when I come back to experience the sun and warmer ocean.

According to hotels.com it was supposed to be a beachfront view. It was not the property was definitely older and showed its age. The table coffee table was ready to fall down the lights to the bathroom stopped working, even after we tried to reset the fuses the staff was just OK. I told him it was our 35th anniversary and they weren't able to really give us the room we wanted I would not stay at this property again, especially for the price and I'm also not very happy with hotels.com since the Te told me the issue with the room was because of hotels.com.

This was my first time staying at this resort. It was clean, the staff were nice, and not to far from different restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay again. I also liked the fact that we had 3 bedrooms and each bedroom had it's own bathroom.

Loved our room. Second time we have stayed at Avista. This was a very large. King size bed had a kitchenette and a pulldown bed. Great view. Only complaint was bed was a bit hard and the towels are tiny and rough. Also for some reason the breakfast buffet was closed on a 10 o'clock on a Sunday even though hours said 7-11. We heard people talking and no one came to seat us so we could order so we left.

first of all, the room was not what was pictured in the description. We were very disappointed with the "view" and that the room was not what we thought we were getting. very misleading photos and description. the hall smelled like someones septic was backed up. the elevator was a mad house and the staff were not friendly or informative. the parking garage is on the other side of the street so that is not ideal. the kitchen is outdated and there is no counter space to speak of. The bed is stiff as a board and even the toilet paper dispenser didn't work. would never recommend for the money you can do so much better.

We visited for our Anniversary. The restaurant was the absolute best part of our (bay)cation! We ate there breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The waitstaff along with the cooks made our Anniversary special. The front desk was not warm and inviting. She did not acknowledge us upon arrival. We stood there and waited. She didn't say ,"I'll be right there", or even "Welcome". The parking attendee was even friendly.

Entire property is old - desperate in need of renovations. Beds in unit were old spring mattress. Incredibly uncomfortable. Couch was sagging in middle, needs replacing. Internet was spotty - continued to buffer. Safety was a concern. Gate on south side of pool was broken - could not close. Has a hole drilled in gate with a bicycle lock (so staff can lock at night???). We were sitting in pool area just after dark and strange individuals were walking into pool are from beach. *I brought this concern to management. Pools were nice, hot tubs were disgusting (both inside and outside). Have not been cleaned in AGES. Need a good power washing. No security staff were present, that we were able to see. Area is fairly nice, mostly residential homes. We walked nearly a mile in each direction to grab food at a local dive.

Nothing to write home about

Resort is very clean and updated. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of towels. For 2 adults and 3 small children, there was enough room to move around. The furniture was a little outdated. The bad points: The TV did not work when we got in the room, maintenance came and fixed it. The Wi-Fi was intermittent and very slow. I went to cook on the small stove, and the 2 front burners did not work. Called the front desk, they said they would put in a ticket. Maintenance never showed up. I had to cook on the 2 back burners which were small for the bigger pans. One of the smoke detectors started beeping, called and maintenance came right up to put in new batteries. The vending machines are little overpriced for what you get for a snack. Overall, a nice place to stay, and I would go back.

Stayed here for my anniversary the hotel was wonderful, the staff were amazing and helpful, we loved our stay! They even have onsite maintenance for any issues.

The most important issue for me was the mattress. It was very uncomfortable and too bouncy, and the pillows were old and stiff, not soft or squishy at all. I couldn’t sleep the whole night because of the mattress, and I woke up with neck pain. The location was okay, but it could definitely be in a better area. Overall, the appliances and furniture felt outdated.

The rooms refrigerator door was broken and the dish washer. We were not able to watch TV. Called the desk and they sent someone who could not help. Expedia did not even have my name on the list for Avista Resort. The staff was really nice. We never received room service. We had to take trash and ask for towels. The room was cool enough but the bedroom was uncomfortably hot.

It wouldn't let me say the staff that helps with suitcases up to your room worry the nicest people you can meet there was dark and Brian and another guy and the death people were nice except for one lady She was a rude person I wished I would have got her name so I could report her they don't have a breakfast or like complimentary coffee anywhere think they should offer like discount meals while you're there for everyone. This place is a rip off. The rooms are much smaller than advertised. Ours had a murphy bed but when you get to the room you can't even open it without having to put furniture out onto the balcony. The counter is so tiny you can literally make one sandwich on it and the beds were SO HARD. we asked to be moved to a bigger room and I was willing to pay more. The staff was not helpful, said they were completely booked but judging by the parking deck that was not real and we eventually had to get an airbnb across the street. The pool had no umbrellas and the place was a bit of a mess. I would not stay here again.

The dishwasher didn’t work, the bathroom door didn’t lock, one of the stove eyes was broken, the microwave didn’t warm up food properly. Light went out in the bathroom. We was giving a broken room, I seen my other family members rooms and it looked completely different from our room!

Overall the stay was okay. We were traveling with a baby and a pregnant woman. The day we were checking out the staff kept coming to our room to spray bug repellent. We told them multiple times we didn’t feel comfortable with them doing that while we were still in the room because of the baby and pregnant woman! but they persisted. The access to the beach is good, outdoor pool is clean indoor not so much.

We traveled to N Myrtle Beach for a brief outing — just one night. We tried the Avista and loved it. They have an assortment of pools and hot tubs as well as a lazy river. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Booked a 1 bdrm ocean view suite at least 2 months in advance for 7 nights and arrived to a very dated, small suite with a corner ocean view (end unit, curved balcony). After expressing our disappointment, the Guest Svcs Mgr promised to move us via text after checkout the next day to an updated unit, since there would be a few becoming available after checkout. Also, there would be a key so we could look at the unit first. We packed everything, including kitchen food & drinks purchased, and went to Front Desk at checkout (11am). The Guest Svcs Mgr didn't work that day and the Front Desk wasn't aware/said there was no key available yet but said we'd have to wait while guests were checked out. Then we stood there and watched them check IN at least three people FOUR HOURS EARLY, and when I approached the Front Desk again because we didn't want to stand there all morning, we were finally told there was nothing available for us to move into because they were all sold since the time we were told units would be available. Spoke to Guest Svcs Mgr when we checked out and she said they could have moved things around! Would have been nice if she left those instructions at the Front Desk. So, Guest Svcs mislead me and the Front Desk also mislead me (or they are so incompetent they didn't know how to "move things around"). We left after a week in an ugly suite. Very unprofessional, no follow-through and very dated property from what we saw. Would not return.

I loved the comfort and cleanliness of our room! It was amazingly stocked and cleaned. The view was amazing! The pools were well maintained. We will use Vista in the future!

Very clean place, bathroom in good order, no mold around tub, etc.... Room smelled clean and not like it had just been deodorized. Balcony clean, chairs in good order, not afraid to sit in them. The killer for us was the beds. Mattresses were horrible, felt like they had been there since place opened. No support. And they were noisy. How is a mattress noisy? Like wake your partner up noisy....Left a day early so we could come home and sleep well and not need to go to chiropractor.

Now I have to say the bed we slept in felt like it needed to be replaced. It has a big dip in the middle and very worn. Everything else was very nice. Also highly recommend Hoskins restaurant. Very delicious and clean

Liked the hotel a lil out dated blankets and sheets are heavily used towels were dirty but the ambiance was so beautiful staff was helpful and nice parking is a little confusing overall nice for the view and being close to the beach

Me and my finance had a wonderful stay, very clean and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was great for our family of 5. It had a nice kitchenette and also a washer and dryer in the room which is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely have to plan another stay there.

Parking was a hassle- had to go across the street to park my car to their garage. Would have been better if it was attached to the bldg. elevators were not working properly and taking us to the wrong floor even if we pushed the correct button. Food at the restaurant for dinner was mid and overpriced. Breakfast was amazing though so that was well worth the money! Staff was amazing. Beds were alright. Tub was a little stained and not white. Couch in room had cushions that were sinking in and uncomfortable.

Clean rooms, fresh towels, ocean front. Very well-equipped kitchen.

Everything was very good on our stay the bed the room was clean the guest was nice. They all was very helpful asking you need anything they did have food but we ate off site the beach was very quiet I would choose this hotel again

Nice view of the ocean, close walk to the beach. Parking is across the street, that in itself sucks, but on top of it it’s real narrow, almost for got to mention how the entrance gets flooded. Room seems a little run down and smaller than I thought. I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt until on my last day I saw a roach.

I love how there was dishes there, we didn’t bring any so it was very convenient!

Housekeeping left our door unlocked and open for several hours while we were out on two occasions. Only emptied out the trash. If you were there three nights or less, there is no housekeeping so all your dirty towels and everything is left in the floor..

Loved the amenities. Frank one of the porters did an outstanding job of helping us with our bags, explaining how to get from tower to tower, which can be tricky and helped direct me out of a tight parking spot. The tech guys were wonderful with the tv issue with staff responding quickly and efficiently. Everyone was super friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

We liked the closeness of the beach, and the swimming pools. It was convenient having a kitchen, washer and dryer and a murphy Bed for the kids.

Room was amazing. Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Ocean view. Hotel was meh. Parking garage was across the street which was kind of annoying.

Our room was very nice. Barefoot Landing was close by. I know this is silly but we never hardly had to wait for elevators. Property and pools were well kept.

I loved the easy access to the beach!

The “resort” is very rundown. There is broken furniture in the common areas…the hotel is dirty and unappealing. The room furniture is uncomfortable and the bed was lumpy. The pools and lazy river were dirty and over-crowded and the noise overwhelming. Some of the employees were very helpful but others were not at all. I would NEVER go back there. I’m so grateful that they let us leave without losing all of our money…they charged us $40 to cancel the rest of our stay as we only stayed one miserable night. I would’ve paid more for the pleasure of leaving.

Food was really good and the room was very comfortable and clean. We had a great time.

We checked ou today. Not one complaint! All the staff were excellent , from the front desk on . Special shut outs for Kathy, Ashley and Brian. Bryan and Cornelius , also Kevin at the outside bar. Every request was met. Our six day stay couldn’t have been better. Our waiter the first night was great and the meatloaf delish! Keep up the good work ! Hats off to HR!

I would recommend this stay for anyone. It was clean and everyone was very helpful and courteous.

Everything was great including the beach access, drinks, food and I must say I was most impressed with the staff. They were all so helpful and seemed to really love their job and it showed. Definitely will come again!

Overall good value for the quality, amenities and service.

Staff was very nice. Pools and lazy river could stand a remodel. My dryer in room didn’t work which was a bit upsetting . I reported to staff downstairs and they put a work order in but nothing was done. Entertainment was great !

The property was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The evening activities were great. Only a couple of things, the towells were really dingy, almost looked dirty and the bathroom sink backed up quickly. I would stay here again.

Really liked the room. It had everything and was spacious. Our issue was with customer service. We were suppose to have an oceanfront room. Instead we were given an ocean view facing mostly other balconies that looked right into our room. When asked about it, customer service was dismissive and rude. We were also hit with a surprise $187 “room fees”. Parking garage was small and very tight. But overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

My wife and I enjoyed the resort as a whole. We just had a problem with the parking. It is real tight in there. Other than that, we highly recommend this resort.

The room was very outdated if you’re looking for a modern more luxurious resort this isn’t the one! Bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrible, woke up to neck aches.

Receptionist was great she let us checked in earlier and helped us with everything we needed it,

All the amenities were great and the room was very comfortable. We were given a room make up with fresh linens but never was given. It was scheduled to take place on Tuesday and I requested it to take place on Wednesday instead and that was acceptable but it never happened. That was the only hiccup in our stay.. Things happen!!

The condition was good for a family beachfront hotel but could use some updates such as painting.

This Hotel is dated, a bit noisy and the staff at least we didn’t find it very friendly I’ll say. We definitely will not come back, at this price could find a better deal

We stayed in room 1131 with a side beach view. It's also the middle of three rooms, which is, for us, the best. The forward room can be looked into from the hall.The rooms on the front have beachfront views, but they also can be looked into by the other rooms. People bring binoculars to the beach. The view is better in those rooms, but leave your lights off . Our room had a back bedroom, but we liked the Murphy bed in the front. While laying on the Murphy bed, the ocean could be seen, with the illusion of being beachfront. We liked that. We would lay in bed and watch the ocean. The property itself is clean and well-maintained. Our room 1131 was very nice. We never saw one bug. We had a washer and dryer, a dish washer, a toaster oven as well as the main stove and oven, a coffee maker, ice maker, and more. There was also a safe in the closet of the back bedroom.

It was a good experience overall. Staff were ready and available to accommodate, the food at the tree top lounge was excellent and the drinks at the sandbar were really good. It was so nice to be so close to the ocean.

The staff was extremely polite. The building is well maintained, but many areas are old. The pool is over crowded, because of the lazy river there is no place to really swim. The small pools are filled with kids. There is very limited space to sit. Our room was nice, but in need of updates.

The staff was great, the location was great, but the quality of the furniture and fixtures was poor.
