Had a really bad experience with my room accommodations and it took a while for me to hear anything. I was suppose to hear back from the manager on the 8th but never heard anything. Breakfast was decent and it seemed more than enough.

The room was smaller than the pics but it was clean. Breakfast was decent and there were cameras throughout the hallways and in the lobby areas. I give it 3.5 stars

Close to City Center, Convention Center and the BART system Homeless people wandering around. Urine smell outside of the hotel.

Breakfast was not consistent, and the rooms were not as secure as they should be.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was limited, not good. I was charged double for my rooms and I'm still trying to get in contact with the manager Matthew.

Hotel was clean and rooms were very quiet. Room sizes were on smaller side but not unexpected for a downtown hotel at this price. 5 mins to BART and easy to go anywhere from there. Breakfast was basic but good. I would stay here again.

the first night we stayed the shower water was not hot enough but the next morning was ok

I like that the area that the Ramada is around restaurants, sate seeing down the street to the ferry boat to San Francisco, the staff are friendly, clean rooms, like breakfast, parking safe and convenient, I will be coming to the Ramada went I'm in Oakland hopefully they have a room available.

Staff friendly, parking convenient. My car wasn't messed with. Rooms are small and not well maintained but overall it's great for what I needed. A safe place to sleep and close to Fox Theater. It's an 11 minute walk.
- 4/5
Clean room, good breakfast and close 10min walk to Fox Theater
- 2/5
The room was clean, but we requested room service, and they never arrived. No toilet paper, body soap, tissues, or towels. We ask at the front desk each day, and they said they would be there, but they never show up.
- 5/5
Carpet needs to be refreshed and some of equipment is old.
- 5/5
100% agradable
- 3/5
The breakfast area was tiny, there were limited items available. No egg, no potatoes, no fruit. Muffins were not fresh. Parking was shady, as is the vicinity of the hotel. I'm glad my car didn't get broken into or marked with graffiti. There was a constant smell of marijuana and each morning I woke with a headache. Room was not very clean. Bed was good, bathroom was nice, tv had Directv. Will look elsewhere before I book there again.
- 5/5
I always loved this place, due to it feeling like home. I enjoy it being close to my school down the blocks so I can go back and forth, and when my family comes with me to accommodate me in some important school matters. The front desk receptionists are so friendly and thoughtful and extra attentive. I love being at the 7th top where I can see everything so beautiful. Beautiful suites as well!

Staff friendly. First room was not cleaned at all and had no bedding and they corrected it immediately and the second room was in better condition.
- 5/5
Staff were all extremely friendly except for an odd tone from the guy who can't walk well that was off. Besides, that, cleaning staff friendly, clean rooms. Laundry room was useful. No issues all around. Thanks!
- 3/5
Good enough for my business stay, better than budget motels, trustworthy brand. I would stay again.
- 4/5
Clean room conveniently located in downtown Oakland. Odd narrow building with only a few rooms per floor. No bar or room service but they do have a connected Biriyani Cafe with the BEST food next door, and they are open late! Two pluses in our book. Complimentary breakfast looked like standard fare but we did not partake in it. Would stay here again for the value.
- 1/5
Awful.
- 2/5
Have thin walls easily heard the neighbors TV super loud up late at night. Heard squeaky noises sounded like water pipe is broken or something mechanically broken, heard a squeaking noise all night.
- 4/5
Breakfast is less than ok but you can always go to good diners within walking distance.
- 1/5
There was a man late Friday night who was being very creepy in the hallway next to our door. Saying he worked in the building and could help us but had no uniform and looked nothing like someone who worked in the building. It was very unsettling for two young women late at night. I will not be returning.
- 5/5
The last but not least is the employees, they are super friendly and helpful. When I my car didn't start, on my check out day. The front desk man let me use his personal jump start kit to get my car going again. I am so grateful for people like this, helping out when they can, even when it's not included in their job description. Bless up
- 4/5
It was fine.
- 3/5
Was woken up 2x by alarm and flashing lights.
- 5/5
For being in downtown Oakland, it was great!
- 5/5
Overall impressed. Unfortunately, the brand name for me isn’t so positive in other cities. But this hotel has changed my outlook on the brand name. Overall, the hotels in decent shape and condition.
- 3/5
Noise from adjacent room quite loud and interruptive and especially late night and early morning beyond acceptable.
- 3/5
Property is ok. Room very small but had a king bed. It was clean. Room was very warm and A/C really loud and had to have on all night. Average hotel for average price - nothing specia. Not sure where the picture of the breakfast area came from - it definately is not at this property. Best part was check in time is 3pm and check out is 12pm and that was very helpful.
- 5/5
Staff was mean about the parking when we asked where is it safe to park? We understand there bad parts of Oakland they just kept nowhere is safe and asked my husband who is Mexican do you speak English when he does
- 5/5
Yes there were shops nearby, room clean, air conditioning work
- 3/5
Room was small, but clean
- 4/5
There were plenty of coffee and meals shops near by.
- 5/5
Great location, the staff is very friendly.
- 4/5
Clean room with a comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Great service from the staff, clean, well kept rooms, plus above average continental breakfast. Excellent stay.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful.
- 1/5
Elevator feels like its about to give out any moment. Luggage carts feel overworked and ran down. We checked out early and found another hotel to stay at. We felt deceived by the marketing in the pictures. I was originally booked into a very small room without a working toilet. We were moved into the bigger room, with stained carpets and a tough to lay on bed. The "breakfast" area in the pictures is NOT what it looks like in person, those are generic stock photos from other locales. I've seen motels and extended stays with better selection for "FREE BREAKFAST" advertised. Honestly this location feels a bit predatory, dont stay here unless you're desperate or hard on budget and they are the cheapest option you can find.
- 1/5
I booked a non-smoking room and the bathroom smelled like cigarettes, the closet smelled like urine, and parts of the room were dirty. I had to leave early as the room did not meet the expectations of what was listed. I’m working with the hotel and Expedia to try to get a refund.
- 3/5
Yes the was ok, for the most part. The bedding had a black spot on the outer part, and I was smelling urine in the left corner where the nightstand is.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and room was clean i liked.
- 5/5
great location and friendly staff.

- 1/5
The room wasn’t ready when we arrived close to 4pm. They comped the parking because of it. The room was sparse and very small. The TV was broken and only fixed by the second night. The elevator needed maintenance in the morning and we needed to take the stairs from the 6th floor. There was a homeless person that slept on a couch in front of the parking lot.
- 5/5
Check in was easy the gentleman at the counter was nice and very helpful. Room was clean a little small than other places but convenient and very quiet.
- 5/5
Clean room nice staff close to everything
- 3/5
Room was ok. Sink water was a trickle. Cleaning room every third day seems odd and cheap.
- 5/5
It's really great for short stays
- 4/5
It was a decent stay for the location. The tv wasn't working but I didn't make a fuss because I was there for a one night event
- 3/5

- 5/5

- 5/5
It was good for me for the time I needed it
- 5/5
Front desk personnel were great
- 5/5
Running a budget hotel requires making tradeoffs, and this hotel picked a very good set of tradeoffs. The bed was comfortable enough, the shower was nice enough, and the breakfast was tasty enough, all for a great price. My favorite kind of place to stay.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and attentive. Hotel is tired but overall clean.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly
- 5/5

- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 5/5
Boiled eggs seemed fresh enough, it's your bare minimum continental breakfast.
- 5/5
Loved the convenience of online check in and easy check out. Affordable lot right next door that you get discounted with your stay. Staff was kind and courteous, breakfast options were fairly limited with no hot bar but they provide options for those looking for a hot option. Love how central this hotel is, I chose this one for the proximity to the Fox Theater for Marina's concert and I was able to walk home, alone in the PM as a woman, directly to the hotel with 0 issues (other than my shoes haha.) Doordash options were the best <3
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Breakfast, coffee, tea and cucumber water were nice added touches. Nothing too fancy but fit our needs.
- 5/5
Very nice place, clean and necessary Amenities
- 4/5
Property was average. The bathrooms did not have a very bright light The lighting around the property was not very good, especially the parking lot was very dark and seemed unmanned in an unsafe area
- 5/5
Toilets and tub was very low but everything else was wonderful
- 5/5
It was close to the water park and shops. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
The location wasn’t the greatest but the price for the hotel was pretty good, stayed one night for a concert, room is small but it had what I needed which was all I cared for (bed, shower, small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The pre check in made everything easier for when we arrived at the hotel. Parking was $10 for the night with in and out privilege and $50 damage deposit, they had a fire tv but had to log in to Amazon account to be able to watch something for those of you who would like this information.
- 1/5
This is the WORST place you can stay in Oakland. Room is old and dirty, key fobs stop working every hour and had to replace 3 times. Staff was EXTREMELY RUDE told me “you get what you pay for”
- 5/5
Ggood
- 4/5
I was most sad that I left a pair of shoes in the room, and I called the same day as I checked out to let them know. I was told I would get a call when they found them, but never did. Those were my work shoes that I now have to replace, even though I know I left them there; I was only there for a work meeting and I do not remember packing them. Just disappointed.
- 4/5
Only thing no shopping around there.
- 4/5
clean room, pleasant staff, ease of parking, ample but basic breakfast (as advertised)
- 5/5
Everything was great. Front desk was very helpful and courteous. Room was very nice. Not super fancy but clean and well maintained. Linens and towels were fantastic! Very soft and excellent quality! I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area. I definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Good time
- 4/5
The property was in good shape, and the room was very quiet. However, the wall A/C was a bit loud. I would stay here again.

- 3/5
Tv wasn’t a smart tv so can’t watch YouTube or Netflix during down time. AC stopped working in room 302, got really hot. Outside is Downtown Oakland so some sketchy people. Parking lot next door is convenient. Lots of restaurants and a Minimart close by. Can hear the street lights beeping at night. Pillows were soft, couldn’t prop up to watch tv. For the price it’s good enough. For a little more I thought the Moxy was updated and comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean and perfect place

- 5/5

- 3/5
The walls seemed a little thin
- 3/5
I was on room 202. The A/C from outside noisy all the night, the corridor and room smell lite bad.
- 4/5
Per front desk staff, the building is over 100 years old, but it is well-maintained. The bathtub did not have safety handles around the wall, and it also did not have a nonskid coat in the bath.
- 4/5
The Ramada staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was nice. Fresh peaches! They had cucumber and citrus water in the lobby, and it was refreshing. The hotel was close to Bart so it made it easy to get to San Francisco!
- 5/5
The key room malfunction but they accommodated with another room.
- 5/5
Quiet and transportation
- 5/5
Very quiet
- 3/5
Overall you get what you pay for and it did its job but wasn’t very comfortable and cozy.
- 5/5
For the money I paid I was expecting to get a decent sized hotel room but got the room that barely fits one double bed! Other than that the stay was fine- nice bedding, typical continental breakfast served in the morning, friendly front desk staff.
- 5/5
It’s a nice hotel
- 2/5
Never again
- 5/5
Daily breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. I have no complaints.
- 5/5
Daily breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 2/5
When you review the picture of double bed room, you can see the two beds. But actually the room is single bed!
- 5/5
I stayed at this Ramada because of its proximity to Fox Theater (10-minute walk or a very short BART ride). This property not only had one of the lowest daily rates, but it’s also a very short walking distance from the 12th Street/City Center BART station and the Oakland Tribune building. The lobby included free coffee and tea, and there’s free breakfast in the dining area across from the front desk. The room I stayed in was clean when I arrived and had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Oakland.
- 5/5
Nice hotel close to everything in downtown Oakland and BART/ subway station.
- 5/5

As I was packing up to leave, I started to find multiple larvae on the floor in spots throughout the room. The highest I counted was 12.
- 1/5
disgusting bedrooms
- 1/5
Don’t stay here, my room was the super small, no refrigerator and no air circulation except for the a/c unit in the window. My window opened up to a small alley way so there was no natural light. The housekeeping staff didn’t fully clean my room and there was someone’s dinner jacket blazer left in the closet. They charge $10 for parking but they don’t monitor the lot. They tell you to bring everything inside. The water pressure is super low. It basically trickled out of the faucet sink and the shower. I will never stay anywhere in downtown Oakland again.
- 5/5
Only complaint is a weird smell in the hallway and elevator.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Easy check in
- 4/5
This is a functional Ramada, that is clean, quiet and comfortable and that's all. There are no appreciable amenities available, save a basic continental breakfast offered. But for staying downtown in Oakland while you are out doing the things you've planned, it's a great option.
- 5/5
It's a great day and had a wonderful stay
- 2/5
This place works only if you're in a pinch with no where else to stay. It's a relatively new hotel but maintenance and amenities are lacking. Area is walkable and close to transportation, in Chinatown, and near some really good eateries. Careful with your surroundings at all times and never walk alone in the evenings.

Room was good, bed was terrible they could use some better mattress. Everything was good till our last day, 30 min before checkout the power when out being disabled and on the sixth floor was not easy to get down with luggage. Then I got to my car to find 2 parking tickets. Even though I paid for parking. So I just gave it to the front desk and they were going to take care of it for me.Other than that stay was fine. I don't like blueberries, so that was not a plus on the blueberry waffles

It was upsetting and very scary when my daughter was locked out of the property around 3 AM after trying her room key to enter the building and then calling the designated number (which was not operative) several times per the hotel's instructions before awakening me to assist. The night attendant finally appeared around 3:30 AM and instead of taking accountability, he became irate and defensive as he proceeded to lie, stating he was away from the desk for only 5 minutes. We have documentation to prove that his statement was false. Additionally, he was rude and unprofessional, blaming me for not being able to read/see the faint writing near the door (without my glasses in an unlit lobby) to open the door, which was his responsibility. My poor daughter was placed in a very dangerous situation in the midst of downtown Oakland. We are thankful that God protected her in that frightening situation. We expect the Ramada to make this right, starting with crediting us for that first night stay. Moreover, I did not check all 1 stars because customer service was extremely better on night two, and no issues for my daughter entering the hotel after 8 PM.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Selected Ramada for affordability. The staff and service were outstanding, very accommodating! However, the downtown Oakland area surrounding the hotel is a little challenging.
- 5/5
Was good thanks
- 1/5
It was horrible hotel is dirty and employees are rude and inconsiderate, I felt unsafe and when I got to the room there was stains all over the bed very nasty and unsanitary also looked like the shower was just used . DO NOT RESERVE you will not get money back not even the deposit. Thanks for nothing I hope this hotel closes soon !
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating, the location was great and good price for this area.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 3/5
Carpeting needs updating. Need more breakfast options.
- 2/5
Slow and small elevator,
- 3/5
The room depends on the price.
- 2/5
The bathroom sink didnt drain, took over 20-30 minutes to drain after just brushing our teeth. The bathroom door had No way to stay open and would slam closed. Our only window looked into another window an few feet across from us. The tv took a very long time to connect to their Direct TV cable service(approx 10-15 minutes). At check in we were advised we couldnt use out giftcard for the stay and we also had to pay for parking which was not noted at the time of booking. Elevater is the size of a very small closet, is very slow and sounds very rickety.
- 3/5
Works in a pinch. Can be loud and some of the clientele are smoking various things in the rooms. The front desk staff was incredible, however. Breakfast provided was hit or miss.
- 4/5
My room was small, but well appointed, with a large bathroom and comfortable bed. The room was very clean and the linens and furniture were in excellent condition. Being downtown, I expected to hear noise but it was pretty quiet. The neighborhood is about what you'd expect for downtown, but the hotel felt safe.
- 5/5
Breakfast was served with various selections that you could warm up in the microwave.
- 4/5
Room was pretty clean, although I think the refrigerator was leaking because the floor has some wet spots. Comfortable bed, great location.
- 5/5
Tiny rooms
- 2/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. Housekeeping was very nice and very helpful. Check in and check out was fast and easy.
- 4/5
The parking area was not great
- 4/5
The elevator was really slow and they house keep every three days so you have to request service if you want it sooner. But to be honest those are the biggest complaints I could come up with staff was polite and helpful ever in the late late hours. The continental breakfast was nice and the room was comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
Great stay. Great place, great price.
- 3/5
Breakfast is so heavily carb don’t expect any fruits or low carb Hotel smelled of pot all the time Elevator is small and carpeting is extremely warn Bug in the bed appeared to be a boxelder but couldnt tell for sure. It was only one and killed it. Other than these items all good
