Best Western Plus Palm Beach Gardens Hotel & Ste & Conf Ctr

I’ve stayed at many Best Western properties. This was probably the worst was old dingy dirty looking nothing worked well and we asked to come in a few minutes early. We were told it was an additional charge. I will never stay on this property again and we have stayed there in the past.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was a plus. My only complaints are that my bed was not comfortable and bathroom floor looked like it needed a good cleaning. Overall, it was a good 1 night stay.

This was a last minute booking and I am so glad we chose this hotel. Worth every penny. Breakfast was good could have used a better selection but it was tasty. Would absolutely stay here again!!!

Only the location. The hotel is currently under renovation. The room we were assigned had very old carpeting that did not look clean. We found an insect on the carpet in the morning, and there was an unpleasant odor in the sleeping area. They left only a tiny bar of soap in the bathroom for two people. The furniture is old and smells foul. The minibar cabinet was completely worn out; that room should not be offered to any guest. In the morning, breakfast is served across the street at a café called "Barcelona." It is an old establishment, and the breakfast was poor; the place looks like something out of the 1970s—everything about it is in very bad taste. I would not stay here again under these conditions, and I do not recommend it. The hotel should not be authorized to receive guests—nor should it charge the rates it does for such poor service—especially while it is undergoing renovations.

There was a very musky smell and the rooms need to be really aired out.

The bed was literally deformed, with the mattress so uneven and sunken that it was difficult to stay in the middle without sliding toward the edge. Since it was already late at night, we ended up staying in the room for that first night. On top of that, the air conditioner was extremely loud the entire night, sounding more like construction noise or an old machine running nonstop. The room also had an unpleasant smell, very outdated furniture, and clear signs of poor maintenance and lack of proper upkeep. Because we had booked two nights, we requested a room change the next morning. Unfortunately, the second room had the same issue with the bed. It was slightly better than the first one, but still uneven and uncomfortable, especially on one side. The air conditioner was also very noisy again. We ended up requesting a third room change. In the third room, the bed was no longer broken, but it was still far from comfortable and below what we expected for a hotel like this. Overall, the hotel felt old, poorly maintained, and lacking attention to basic room quality and guest comfort. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience for us, and we would not stay here again.

We only stayed one night, check in was really easy and the girl was friendly! Lots of parking and our room was at the back so very quiet. We didnt use the pool so can’t comment on that, the breakfast was included and was ok to start the day. The room was a bit dated and the furniture was quite worn and stained it could do with being replaced. Bed was comfy tho, but there was a weird smell in the room, but I think it was the A/C unit.

My room smelled of mold when I entered. There was a large dehumidifier running. When I turned it off the smell went away. I could barely open the shower door, I was afraid if I forced it open it would break. The tv had terrible reception, could barely watch it. The mattress was awful, completely worn out.

Not the nicest Best Western I've ever staying in. But it was clean and the location is perfect for what we needed. The pool is great and there's a nice restaurant that does continental breakfast.

The property is old and run down with minimal services

The room was dated and in need of repair -- torn curtains, broken handles on furniture, malfunctioning microwave turntable, shower door did not slide due to a missing wheel, gross looking carpet. There were also ants occasionally. However, it was a fantastic location. We just did our best to only sleep and shower in the room and get out as much as possible.

We booked this room as a quick overnight stay after a long flight & were there less than 12hrs so it did the job. However, the room was very dated, shabby & had a strong smell of damp throughout. It didn’t appear to have been vacuumed as there was dirt on the carpet. I didn’t feel comfortable walking bare foot. Yet, someone has taken the time to arrange the toilet roll into a pretty fan. The main plus was the free breakfast which was ok & fuelled us up before we left. I’d not return as there’s so many other hotels nearby that I’m sure are better.

THe property looks unkept in the rooms. Our ceiling had an unfished patching of the ceiling. The Shower looked old and poorly maintained.

The curtains were not blackout. It was bright in the room at night.

The staff was courteous but the room we were on smelled like wet dog and like mold. They did have a dehumidifier running all day and night but did nothing w/the smell.

Room had terrible lighting. 2 lamps on either side of the bed and no overhead lighting aside from hallway and bathroom by entrance. Desk was the stand for the TV, so they was no place to do work or sit and read other than sitting on bed crowded by a lamp. To watch TV- needed to move the desk chair out of way. Traffic to get out in morning; allow for extra time if the draw bridge is up and you need yo head west. Just not a place to stay if you were planning to do work.

Property is NOT pet 'friendly' - they allow pets, however there is nowhere to take your dogs to relieve themselves, no dog run, no play area. The grass you see in the photos is literally along US1 - major roadway, and very noisy. Would not stay again.

Even though we complained about it with the front desk, nothing was done about the extremely loud screaming, swearing, kicking on the door, and banging on the wall that went on for over two hours straight during the last night we were there from 10 pm until well past midnight!! No one came to clean our room one of the nights we stayed there!!!

Tell-tale bed bug equipment and mold! This hotel is conveniently located in a nice area, but my guests left after one night because it smelled like mold and the beds were outfitted for bed bugs. This would be a very popular hotel if it were renovated.

The room was very nice and AC worked great. The breakfast was okay, it was what a lot of hotels give in the morning complimentary, so I expected something a little more. The host was super nice but overwhelmed with coffee and checking the food that people stood at the podium for 2-5 minutes not sure if they should wait or seat themselves.

For the most part, the place was great! There were several outlets that didn't work, so we had to move things around to plug in some of our essentials. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was nice, and the place was clean.

The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and wherever someone can touch with fingers is dirty. The walk in shower was big just has mold on ceiling. Not sure what has happened to Best Western or if it was just this one. It’s close to lots of stuff around the city.

It was pet friendly but not as much there was a miscommunication between Expedia booking and the hotel. There wasn’t anywhere in the booking to confirm I’m traveling with a dog and then I get there they didn’t get the memo and stated that there’s certain rooms and area on the first floor for dogs so I couldn’t get the bigger comfy room I paid for. I got a lesser room or the other option was to cancel and risk losing my money so I had no choice but to take the smaller room and they waived the pet fee for the inconvenience. Although it’s not a huge big deal and I stayed anyways to not waste time looking for another hotel it should be noted that people traveling with pets should be communicated somehow with the hotel for better transparency and accommodation versus getting there and finding surprises with the room that I didn’t want or pay for.

This is the third time we've stayed here. Not because it's great, but because it's convenient visiting family. Breakfast is great, available in the detatched convention center. This is a three-story building and I would love to know how to get off the first floor. Each time we stay, it seems we are downgraded room-wise. The extremely worn and tired rooms on the first floor are noisy, the furniture should be on the curb, the water pressure is laughable, and there is no shower soap or gel. Will not stay here again.

They have two chargers for Tesla’s but one was not working for the past two visits. The front desk staff was courteous and let us know when the person that was using the one was done so that we could charge our Tesla. Good breakfast too!

The AC in the rooms is very noisy, the refrigerator doesn't work properly , the room is very updated and the furnitures are neglected, the breakfast is very poor quality, and there are cockroaches in the dining area.

The property is well managed. The staff is very helpful. The owner himself looks into the any slightest matter personally and makes it easy for peole who stays there. The environment is quite good. The location also is very convenient. The entire ambience of that property is serene. Front desk manager Dana is also very helpful. The house keeping staff makes sure to keep the property and room clean on daily basis. One of the best experiences I have had.

The property needs to be updated. We appreciate the pet being able to stay but that does not mean the room needs to be stained and smelled like mildew.

Very moist and moldy and the sheets were always wet feeling I had to change rooms three times and still no change each time they had the ac on 65 degrees and when I turned it down the rooms get very mostly. I had to leave before time. The area is nice but the hotel needs to renovate too old

The room dingy, the wall near the ac was mildewy. The room spelled damp. I went to plug in my charger behing the night stand and their seemed to be sticky substance that had spilled back theor and had mold growing on it.

This was just a gem for the price. The only thing I would improve is the television service. It was streaming only and froze often. The staff could not be nicer.

Our only issue with this property was no hot water for a shower in the morning. Plenty the night before, so I suspect too many rooms demanded hot water at the same time this morning. That is reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Everything else was excellent and breakfast was perfect -- and the staff responsible kept the hot food coming and the tables promptly cleaned.

Go for this only if there is no other option.

Thing are a bit rundown, and none of the rooms have balconies, etc, so one can sit outside of the room & enjoy things. Also the pool closes at sunset?

The ladies at the desk were friendly, we did drop our bags with them as we didn't ask for an early check in but didn't want to leave them in the car. They were helpful. Was a good location, close to where we needed to be.

I stay at this hotel every year for the last six years and it has continued to decline mainly the repairs are not being made and it is pretty dirty. Walked on carpet with my socks and they were dirty. This kind of grossed me out. The front desk person is very nice.

The staff was overall friendly, specially a lady named Iris, she's a 10/10. She was super nice and friendly and the rest of the staff were also friendly. In terms of cleaning, I could say that it would be a 8/10 one of the reason being the smell of cigarettes in the first floor by the elevator.

The clerk who checked me in acted i was a nuisance just for showing up. Most tasks seemed like a bother for her. Needs more people skills. Or a different occupation. Lady who serves breakfast is awesome - pleasant, friendly, works hard. Housekeeping staff were polite, helpful and responsive.

The bathroom was full of mildew. Not very clean at all. I had to stay since I had my dog and no other nearby options were available. I would not recommend this property unless they seriously step up their cleaning/maintenance.

I was given a first floor room. The window was at ground level and had no lock. They did change my room after I told them I felt unsafe staying in it. The room I stayed in was very humid and smelled like mildew.

Our room was basically in the lobby and in front of the elevators, so it was very loud. The door got stuck every time we opened it. You had to body slam the door to get in. The room had a weird smell. It was not clean, there was hair in the sink, dirt in the drawers, and the tile floor was disgusting and left our feet filthy. The fridge door gets stuck and won’t close without force. The main curtains were fake and only for decoration, so only the sheer curtains work. So you can’t block out light from the parking lot or people going in and out. The toilet paper holder was broke and every time you used it, it fell off. For the money that was spent I would expect the little things like that to be fixed. And for the $100 cleaning fee I would expect it to actually be clean when I walk in. The other things, the tv was super dark and was already as bright as it would go. The hot water took a very long time to heat up and the shower had almost no water pressure. I will look elsewhere for a hotel in that area next time.

We will never stay here again. The room smelled like death. The room had dead worms on the floor and the pillows were bad. Try to talk to desk staff about it and was told that there was no other rooms available and then went back to her personal call. For $170.00 a night we were very disappointed.

This hotel is rundown, dingy and sloppy. Nothing felt clean (especially the shower), half the lights and wall switches didn't work, electrical cords were hanging out from behind furniture, the TV didn't work at all, etc etc etc. Regarding the staff - two front desk employees were outstanding - friendly and helpful. But, find another place to stay.

The room has a heavy bleach smell, the shower water is heavily chlorinated to the point my hands were smelling like I went swimming in a pool, the bedside lamp was not working, the toilet was clogged. In general it was not that pleasant stay. I was sneezing the whole time and did not have cold or flu just whatever in the air making me sneeze.

Bathroom was horrific. Tub was stained brown. Layer of dust around all edges and corners of the bathroom. Grout was dirty. Stains on walls and on the door. Furniture in the room was stained, dirty and chipped. All the furniture badly needs to be replaced. Phone was not working when I tried to call front desk. There were some good things. The bed was comfortable. It was probably a new mattress. Pool area was quite nice and mostly quiet. Breakfast was fine. Front desk people were nice. We stayed here to visit family nearby but we will not be returning to this hotel unless they do a full top to bottom renovation.

I would said wasn't expected to find cucatachas twice during my visit. Once by the coffee and second by my headboard

Most hotels booked in area and we were very tired, otherwise we would have left. And don’t see where I requested the handicapped room. And tv going out. Shampoo and soaps empty.

This property needs a huge update, curtains were hanging off the curtain rod, I put them back on there curtain tabs to hang. Working at table observed ants crawling on wall. Bed was clean and bathroom was clean but the rug was filthy. There was some sort of stain close to the bed....don't want to know. No clock???? Breakfast was ok, but unfortunately was not hot @ 7:30 am. And what is up with the dehumidifier in the room. Between the A/C and the dehumidifier I couldn't sleep!
