Everything was really clean. The staff was the best, especially Caesar! One of the best experiences in a Westin. Breakfast was one of the best as well. The ice machine was broken....that was it. Nothing else was wrong or bad.

The room I booked was given away even though I called the property several weeks ahead of time, as well as nine in the morning the day of of arrival and then again when we arrived at 11 am and the room was not ready. We informed the staff at that time that we would be returning late, but when we returned, we found out our room had been given away. Extremely disappointing, although the manager was polite and apologetic and said he would arrange a refund….still waiting for word on that.

Hotel was super clean organized and day/swing shift staff was very friendly. Made it very comfortable. I think that grave shift can be a little bit more greeting and more friendly so that way if we had questions, they could be more informative.

Room service was like takeout, delivered in bags. Shower had no pressure. Plugs and chargers did not work. It’s not a well-maintained property.

They gave us early check-in, an amazing first floor room, and the pool and the hot tub were perfect. I loved the on-site Café and bar, and the location is walking distance to downtown Palo Alto.
- 4/5
This is a decent 1-2 day hotel if you’re in Palo Alto to do something. I booked it because I like hot tubs and it had one, but it didn’t look very appealing when I got there, although other people did use it. Parking gates weren’t working so you had to alert the staff inside through a call button each time you wanted to go in or out. They comped my parking ($20) so it was kind of a wash.
- 5/5
Our room was perfect. Loved the cozy fireplace. Room service was excellent.
- 5/5
Rooms were fairly clean. Nice breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
Great hotel for the value, very friendly staff. Quick stay a lot of good things to say.

Everything needs an update.
- 5/5
I love the walkability to shops. The hotel is clean and secure. I felt safe traveling alone staying at the hotel. Room and memories were excellent. Westin is definitely my go to hotel for traveling.
- 5/5
Great location and atmosphere! Staff extremely pleasant and professional.
- 3/5
After talking to three people, who promised action, our safe was not fixed or replaced. Our room was not cleaned the first day we were there. The gates to the parking garage didn’t work right, and they finally just left them open. We stay there every year, and this time was definitely not good!
- 3/5
This did not have the amenities or quality that we are custom to having at a westin. Food service was all delivered from the Sheraton hotel next door. We ended up using the amenities, dining and pool at the Sheraton
- 4/5
Clean. WiFi spotty. Needed tech person to come and reset TV twice.

Great service and great location

Your front desk staff was wonderful. They were so nice and helpful. Super easy check in and check out. We also liked the late check out. Very comfortable. Everything was great.
- 5/5
My husband and I had a great stay. It’s walkable to the train, has convenient parking on the property and walkable to downtown PA. Very clean and beds are comfortable. I actually want to go and buy the Westin mattress now.
- 5/5
Staff at hotel were great.
- 5/5
This hotel far exceeded my expectations in every way! Clean and beautiful, with extremely comfortable beds and linens and a great shower, too. The staff was friendly and helpful and even comped our parking, which was an unexpected surprise. Honestly, everything was perfect!

- 5/5
Amazing!
- 5/5
Very nice property with a restaurant onsite. Excellent fish stew. Convenient parking garage.
- 4/5
While the size of the hotel meant it lacked the personal touch, the facilities were great as was the location. The bathroom shampoo / conditioner / shower gels were really nice!!
- 5/5
Nice place to stay near the university
- 4/5
Pool and spa are old and smaller than web shows Bar was small but nice service restaurants actually across street at Sheraton that needs mention on website to get true amenities on property

Great service and locatio
- 1/5
My stay at the Westin hotel was a regrettable experience marred by outdated facilities and underwhelming service. The aging infrastructure, highlighted by decrepit elevators that sounded on the verge of collapse, added a layer of discomfort to the stay. Not only were these elevators rickety, but their sluggish door openings tested the patience of even the most tolerant guests. The ambiance was further tarnished by ongoing construction throughout the premises, creating a cacophony of noise that disrupted any semblance of tranquility. For a staggering $400 a night, the value proposition was abysmal, leaving me deeply disappointed. Having previously enjoyed pleasant stays at other Westin establishments, this particular experience fell egregiously short of expectations.
- 5/5
Great Stay and convenient location.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Great stay!
- 5/5
Pet friendly
- 5/5
Every one was Very kind and helpful
- 5/5
Only critique is the room is cleaned in two shifts and was incompletely cleaned when I walked in between shifts.
- 5/5
Safe, quiet place with easy access to shopping and parking
- 5/5
Some things to note: the garage is tight getting out of so be careful. Parking is $10 a night. There's infused water in the lobby. Each room comes with a refillable water bottle which is a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable; best sleep I've had in months. There's a lavender infused oil to rub on that's part of their good sleep concept. Nice toiletries and bath robes. Towels are extra plush. There's a $23 buffet breakfast or a grab and go option, which we did. The quiche and breakfast sandwich plus a tip came to $30. They allowed me to refill my coffee with the Starbucks they offered. Location of hotel is easy to find; when you arrive, just head right into the underground parking structure as there is an elevator that takes you directly to the lobby to check in.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Completely professional staff at front desk ( refreshing post covid) perfectly clean well appointed perfect stay
- 4/5
Comfortable room, elevator was a little strange, one from the parking garage and another for the hotel. Ice machine on second floor wasn't working properly.
- 5/5
Very close to Stanford Stadium.
- 5/5
Very nice stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. Good location could walk downtown and to another close shopping area. Staff was super friendly.
- 5/5
Comfortable ,quiet, and convenient.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel in lovely location. All staff was helpful and friendly. One problem was the hotel was loud and disrupted my sleep on Saturday night.
- 5/5
good staff
- 4/5
Great hotel and location. Staff was amazing! Unfortunately, there was a used condom behind the bed that went unnoticed during cleaning.
- 5/5
Best stay in the bay area if you like Palo Alto. Walkable to Stanford and PA downtown.

Ice property. Stay here every year for the Cali Classico
- 3/5
I expected better from a 4 star hotel, specially Westin! having hot water to shower is a bare minimum you can provide for your guests!
- 5/5
Very good and convenient especially for people needing to be close to the Stanford university medical facilities
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay yesterday although the pillows were WAY soft. I would suggest at least one of the pillows be firmer for at least some support. All in all very satisfied with Westin.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed staying here, clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. Especially Jenny from the front desk, she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We were here for my mom’s medical procedure, and receiving her kindness put us at ease, thank you!
- 5/5
Very nice staff and easy to charge my tesla
- 5/5
great and kind team at fromt desk
- 5/5
My husband and I were very happy with our stay. Our daughter enjoyed it as well
- 3/5
Everything was clean/nice as expected. The reason for the not so good review is at 1:15 am we had a fire alarm and had to evacuate the building for approximately 30min. When it was over and the fire department turned off the alarm no reason/explanation was given. I am all for safety. But this seemed to be a malfunction.
- 4/5
I had problems with people upper level a lot of noise by walking or moving furniture, needs more clear directions - room directions to each branch of the level. overall we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Excellent stay.
- 4/5
Very close to Stanford Hospital and Stanford Shopping Center. Clean and quiet. However lacking in restaurant on site with food coming from hotel next door.
- 5/5
Great place to stay if visiting Stanford university. Convenient and close to campus.
- 5/5
CLEAN AND QUIET.
- 5/5
We stay at the Westin Paloma Alto every year when we drive down from Oregon. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We’re happy with the breakfast room remodel. Problems: ice machines are hard to work or don’t work and trash bins are missing from the garage. Great location - walk to town, Stanford and shopping center! Oh, no newspapers in hotel!
- 5/5
Loved the elegant surroundings, as well as the friendliness and kind hospitality of the staff!
- 2/5
The suite I had reserved was not available, they instead put in me in two adjoining rooms. The bathroom barn door in one did not close, very strange. In addition, when my son was napping housekeeping kept knocking on the door even though I had the do not disturb sign up. There was some mixup with the room change, but it was not a great experience.
- 5/5
One of our best family stays. We will definitely be returning. We got connecting rooms and it was perfect for our family of four. All of the hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room service was also delicious.
- 5/5
Stayed here for one night and it was smooth and easy check in as well as checking out. I love the noon check out time! The shower and tub easily the best part of the room! Comfortable bed and awesome TV!
- 5/5
Very helpful and very friendly
- 5/5
Clean rooms, well equipped. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
The Westin proved to be an ideal choice. The team was kind, courteous and professional. The room was roomy, clean and comfortable. Room service was timely and convenient. We will stay again.
- 5/5
The close proximity to Stanford made the hotel an easy walk to reunion events and the football game. Having a shuttle for Dinner on the Quad was an added bonus that means we will be back in 5 years.
- 5/5
Room décor is nicely updated.
- 5/5
Check in was easy. The bed and pillow was comfortable. Check out was easy. We forgot a toothbrush and they sent up a whole bag of toiletries. Snacks available for purchase. Easy access to parking garage. Great proximity to Stanford hospital for an early morning surgery.
- 3/5
Disappointing. This is a Comfort Inn with a Westin sign out front and triple the room rates, thanks to its primo location near Stanford. Tiny registration desk with disorganized staff, broken elevators, silly breakfast buffet that doesn't even match a Hilton Gardens but there is a charge, dismal pool area. Marriott should rebrand this with a lower flag like a Courtyard.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
needed more body wash. love the robes and comfy beds.
- 5/5
One night stay…very good!
- 2/5
Disappointing breakfast buffet, and a very small swimming pool 16 person capacity

Westin, Palo Alto, is nothing like the one in SF. My stay in sf was amazing which is why i chosetheone in Palo Alto. Staff cer professional and polite no complaints there. But i had expected so much more. Small room service menu, very small. No restaurant. Ased about champagne and flowers for my lady's birthday. To NO avail.

Husband in Stanford, needed some rest before driving home to Santa Cruz. Found it to be quite & comfortable
