Not a luxury hotel, but definitely the cleanest, most pleasant location and amenities for the price in the area!

The room is very clean and organized. A/C controls are easy to use for setting. Hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker and coffee cups are available. The TV had a few channels to watch. But the room has no closet, no iron board, no iron, no paper towels, no clothes hangers and no plastic cups. Just a big mirror and a U-bar with four hanger hooks. Bring your own hangers, paper towels, paper plates and plastic cups or ask the hotel manager for any if you reserve a room at Hyland Inn. I had to use a coffee cup for water while brushing my teeth. A Walgreens store is 4 minute walk away from the property if you need to get some cups, paper towels, etc.

Was an ok stay. The window did not have inner thin linen so u always have to close the thick sleep curtain in otherwise window less room. Only had one coffee capsule and the machine was not functioning properly. Only 1/3 left toilet paper roll had to ask the cleaning lady in the morning. Check-in process was more like being interrogated? Lol... otherwise, it was an okay stay in a convenient location if u r not that picky.

My room and bathroom was clean. The parking was safe and convenient. However, the bed had stains on some of the sheets (which I took off before laying in the bed) and the laying in the bed made my body itch in which I had to shorten my stay. I've stayed before and the bed was a lot cleaner last time. I am not sure why the hotel slacked. I hope they could be more consistent with their cleaning policies.

The room was clean and tidy. The pillows were bad, I had to go to reception 3 times during my stay to ask for toilet paper, cups and coffee, as they hadn't replenished them.

Everything was great - very clean, nice staff, etc. but I would say to bring your own pillow if possible - and, note to management - you've obviously invested a lot in getting this property up to very good standards - invest a little more in some good pillows.....

The Hyland Inn is a clean, comfortable budget motel. The bed was very comfortable, parking was a breeze and everything in the room worked properly. It is not a fancy motel and they do not allow pets, but we liked it and would stay here again in the future. It would be nice to have a towel bar in the bathroom.

I am a woman in my early 20s i was looking for a cheap place to stay during a work trip and was skeptical so im writing this review in case there’s someone in a similar situation and just wants a safe space to sleep . It’s a nice are near a school and a popular gym, so theres good foot traffic from college students, the walls are thin so i could hear my neighbors very clearly im a heavy sleeper so that wasn't a big issue . there was a lot of construction which is why i put low on the amenities portion but again if you’re just looking for a safe space to sleep with friendly staff this was it for me .

I stay here frequently for work and to visit family. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the area is quiet and safe., There are also many stores and restaurants nearby which is convenient.

This is a great choice for a budget hotel stay. Staff was friendly, parking is great, and there are lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. However, the room was a bit shabby and run-down - odd color choices and mismatched furniture, loose floor tiles, and the shower head was a bit wonky. Overall. It was great for the price and location, and perfectly fine for a short stay.

When requested a late checkout we were answered with a quick absolutely! My girlfriend loved the scent of the bottled soap. Very expensive scented. We will definitely stay here again. There were baby cockroaches in the room. When we entered, the lights were on, so we didn't see any roaches. Once the lights were turned off, they came out of hiding. I took pictures and a short video. The front desk viewed the pictures and video and apologized.

This was a clean, well maintained hotel with free parking in a well lit lot. The room was comfortable and there were several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The area was safe. We were here for a football game and would definitely stay here again.

I had decided to stay in Pasedena an extra night and wanted to find a budget friendly option. I'm so glad I chose to stay at Hyland Inn. It was such a pleasant experience. The area felt safe. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Everything was very clean and tidy: The front lobby, parking lot, walkways, room/bathroom. I did not eat there or use the pool area so I cannot write a review on those areas. I was impressed and would definitely stay here again for a quick budget friendly option. It was a very good experience.

Great hotel stay and for the price. Super easy and accessible. My only complaint is that I had a service dog and although they said they were welcomed, I was not allowed to use their grassy area. There wasn’t anything nearby except two blocks away.

Hotel and rooms are pretty good. Only problems are the shower pressure is super low, and the hair dryer is broken. Hotel staff didn't fix or offer replacement during stay.

It is a very decent place for the fair price.

Broken coffee maker, one cup and stops working. No coffee cups or coffee for the second night. No coat hangers in room, no coat hangers on request either.

Unfortunately there were bugs inside the tub. Like all over. We're not squeamish. But I would guess others are. In any case we only stayed one night so we elected not to use the shower.

This hotel caught my eye from the street. Very well maintained. Customer service was excellent and the room was super clean, beds were ver comfortable and all very affordable. I wish I had more time to stay to enjoy the pool.

The room was clean overall. Nothing outstanding. Staff was great. The AC worked well. Basic non smart tv in room. Shower only /no bath. The pool sucked. It was small and looked unkept. The hottube was ice cold and full of dead insects. But... parking was included. Walgreens next door. You can walk to restraunts and other shops. It was very safe to be out late and walk around. The staff were awesome and kind. Same with house keeping.

We stayed 3 nights at the Hyland, which was our whilst attending the two Oasis shows at the Rose Bowl. Good transport into Downtown Pasadena. Free parking was a huge bonus. Recommended!

This was a 2 day stay where we went to a concert and universal studios amd just wanted a safe clean, quiet place to rest ..the check in was simple and quick and the service was friendly the rooms were clean and comfy with a couch and a bed i will be coming back just to explore pasadena!

This is a motel with outside entrances to each room. The rooms are modern and well equipped and decorated. There are limited services from the office. The standard towels for the room have only one hand towel and one wash rag.

The pool water is dirty and the jacuzzi didn't work, the floor of my room 107 was broken and very damaged, everything else was super good, they have a great staff in the lobby, they are very friendly and efficient.

Only stayed a day but just what we needed. The room was actually quite spacious. The long size bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and it was in walking distance for a lot of food options. It was quiet and I felt safe. A very good option if you’re just looking to stay for a few days and need someplace decently cheap compared to the rest of the hotels in the area!

I didn't like how much you guys get bothered by the parking situation. No one was there and I got a note on my window talking about putting the parking pass on my dashboard. It wasn't offered but either way there was plenty of parking for anyone. I didn't like being watched over one bit.

Unfortunately the hot tub water was so hot we couldn’t even dip a toe in, so that was a bummer. Didn’t have time to ask about that, so not sure if they could have changed it.

Property maintenance starts at 9 in the morning and is quite loud. Elevator was out of service during my entire stay. Staff was very friendly but there’s a strict no-visitor rule that applies even during the day because apparently guests can be noisy (more so than the maintenance/construction crew that was there for my entire stay?)

I had a great stay at this hotel. What stood out the most was how safe and quiet everything felt — it made for a very relaxing experience. I had a great stay at the Hyland Inn near the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The location was very convenient, with a Vons grocery store nearby for quick food runs. The area was quiet and peaceful, and there was plenty of parking available. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was reassuring to have 24-hour assistance if needed. Would definitely stay here again!

This was an ok place, the staffer I interacted with was polite and helpful. The parking was limited unless you wanted to park on the street, at midnight I did not want to so had to squeeze my rental into a very tight spot. The elevator did not work so I had to climb stairs with my suitcase and a bad knee, not ideal. Ok place for an overnight but I wouldn't stay again. Also, they don't accept American Express.

The Inn is not near the Pasadena civic center. The hot water was not very hot. The paper cups leaked. There was not hair conditioner in the shower. The bathtub does not work.

The couch looked dirty which we avoided. The sink smelled moldy. They told us the elevator wasn’t safe to use so we were put on the ground level. When we checked out we were not asked how our stay was. It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and the price of $268.25 for one night was absurdly expensive!

After the fire,cee stayed at the Travelodge, then moved to the Hyland. Hyland is much more comfortable.

It’s not really “near” the civic auditorium, which is 4 miles away, but it’s a nice budget motel-style hotel and it’s well-maintained. I needed a place to stay because of some painting in my home, and this was an easy overnight. I would stay there again.

I have sick with a headache and vomiting since my stay. They use too much bleach in my room I checked out 1 day early.

Location for the parade is good, almost too close to get back into the parking lot once roads are blocked off. The room is clean, if sparse. No food, bar or anything like that but there are restaurants and a grocery store a block or three away. Just a front desk to issue a room key. The extra fold out bed's mattress was stained (with what???) and there are no sheets or blankets in the room for it but the guy at the desk provided them upon request.

We stayed one night to watch the Rose Parade. This place was the perfect location. We walked only a few 100 feet to the parade route. The staff was great. The room was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this place to travelers.

The hotel is clean and modest. It was, fortunately, quiet when I went to sleep and stayed that way throughout the night. It had a decent size refrigerator and microwave which was good since they have no breakfast. Couch was a bit beat up and towels are small and scratchy. But you are getting an excellent price. I did have to sign an agreement not to have a party at the hotel (LOL) but that was not an issue on my Sunday night stay. Very convenient to Old Town for lots of dining options and neighborhood was nice.

Bath has been updated with a good amount of money spent but then a sofa near hundred years old sitting there thorn up with holes in it that you don't even want to sit on it. Bed was okay. TV was useless.

We enjoyed our two-night stay in Pasadena. This gave us time to tour the Huntington for the first time. Nice staff. A couple of things that could be improved: the small couch didn’t provide much support when sitting, and there was no closet or even hangers in the room. Property is close to a few small eateries and a grocery store.
