A visit to Route 66 and the motels of my childhood. The room numbers remind you that you are on Pasadena Blvd., site of the Rose Parade. The desk clerk was helpful when I discovered the remote was missing from the room. Some of the furnishings, like the chair were worn, and the comforter was a throwback to the orange and brown of the mid 1960's. IMHO it didn't play well with neutral colors used throughout the updated room.
- 1/5
Terrible customer service- incredibly rude and irritated by our presence. There were needles right outside the front office. The room was dirty and we only had two pillows the size of slice bread. Loud, uncomfortable and unreceptive service. My recommendation would be to skip this place, not sure how it got the reviews it did on the site.

We had a great Time :)

Super friendly staff, quite location. Great area with easy access to food, freeway, stores etc.

Couple managing the property are very nice and accomodating....I requested a room on the upper floor and far from the street, very happy with that choice.
- 4/5
Simple, clean hotel in Pasadena, CA. Has really no amenities to speak of. The bed base partially buckles when you lay on it. Not bad for a low cost hotel in this area. I was surprised there was not facial tissue box. The TV didn't work.
- 3.5/5
Had all necessary amenities for small hotel. There was no shower caddy so it was a bit awkward putting my soap on the floor when I showered.

Small property; clean but no frills. They required a $100 cash deposit at check-in. Staff was very nice. Coffeemaker in room but no breakfast. Cash deposit at check-in is awkward. However, I understand guests can be unruly and they are trying to have some guarantee against potential damages. It appears to be a small operation and a credit card deposit is less certain than cash if there is a problem. However, it is probably inconvenient for many guests.

Front desk and management shows genuine hospitality, and kindness! The remodeled rooms, on the legendary Colorado Boulevard, blocks from high end homes and a peaceful neighborhood on one side, and the vibrant urban night life on other, makes it ideal!

The walls in the room were disgusting and the mini fridge was broken. There is no way that they are unaware that the mini fridge is broken. There are dried bodily fluids and hair all over the walls

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities I needed. The staffs were very welcoming and always ready to help anytime. The location made it easy to get around. Overall, a very pleasant experience—I highly recommend this hotel.

The place was not what I expected it to be in. I chose that place from the pics. Don't choose a place to stay because the pics are immaculate. I would not stay there at all. The street was noisy, and they didn't even have any shampoo dispensers. I have more to say but I think you get the picture. The overall experience was bad. Skip this place.
- 3/5
The walls are visibly dirty with I dare not say what. FILTHY hand prints and scuff marks on the back of the door, like a car repair garage. The bathroom walls and door just needed a moist cloth to wipe them down and no that has clearly not been bothered with. I did not perceive the floor as having been swiffered between guests, either. I was not able to get a receipt after my stay. I was expecting like a folio. A printed page. I don't know If I was given a tiny little tear-off cash register receipt I was told it either had been emailed or would be emailed, but no. I never got anything. I don't expect I will. Very disappointing. I am looking for a regular place to stay when I come to the area. But I am usually here for a half-day only, so spending a lot on a hotel is not worth it.
- 2.5/5
No toilet paper holder. Broken chair w sharp wood edges. Only 2 pillows on a queen size bed. Front desk person was not very engaging. Furniture was wobbly
- 5/5
I liked everything about it it was nice and clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 4.5/5
Location was very good for the activity I was in the area for. Room had a refrigerator which was a great feature. I may have missed it, but I didn't see the mention of in-room refrigerator on the Booking.com information window.
- 2.5/5
This was just a hostile with a private bathroom to be honest. Yes, it’s a hotel but the bed isn’t comfortable minimum of everything.
- 5/5
There is nothing I did not like
- 2/5
The only thing I liked was the price . The quality of the rooms, the cleanliness was bad and the ac didn’t work .
- 5/5
I had a beautiful stay. The facilities were adequate and very much needed. Thank you. Couldn't reach a live person at the front desk prior to arrival to confirm early arrival would be ok, but for a lil extra fee they accommodated my request because I had also sent a request online previously.
- 5/5
Good place to Come
- 5/5
The most friendly people. They listen to all your requests and go overboard to accommodate you.
- 5/5
Very nice corner room. Plugs to charge phone were not convenient. Felt safe, but when checking out other clientele seemed to be homeless people. Maybe with vouchers. Slept well though and left early.

I enjoyed the stay definitely staying there again
- 5/5
The parking was easy & accessible. The rooms were comfy and AC worked. Front desk was very nice & polite
- 4/5
Clean and generally functional, although no facial tissues provided! Had to go purchase some. No desk or table with chair, so I had to do my online meeting at a local coffee shop. That is, basic but ok.
- 5/5
Situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. We got a complimentary upgrade from a queen to king bed.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Outstanding ! A hidden gem in a prestigious, location, adjacent to multimillion dollar homes! More than anything, managers, Kim and Kenny are fantastic — kind helpful, and accommodating! They are always willing to go the extra mile to assist their customers, and their commitment to excellence brings me back! You won’t find a better stay than this in Pasadena!
- 4/5
No frills. Quiet. Was there for a work trip. My only complaint..towels rough and pillows flat.
- 2/5
Stayed in a room with a queen bed, the room was nothing compared with the king room for cleanliness. You would think that cleanliness should be consistent. Also, the person I spoke with on the phone is rude and hung up on me while I was still talking. It looks like there was a change in management recently.
- 4/5
Simple. Rooms are nicer on the inside than it looks like from the outside.
- 1/5
The place was worse than a cheap motel. The bed and mismatched furniture were old, rickety and looked like they came from a garage sale. The shower head was too corroded that the water came out in slow stream, there wasn’t a place to put your shampoo or soap inside the shower so we had to put the soap & shampoo on top of the toilet water tank. One of the shower doors wouldn’t slide open, no hand towels provided. The toilet bike and water leaked from behind the tank. There was no closet to hang our clothes or a suitcase stand, instead there were hangers above the mini fridge and microwave. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets were rough, the cover was old and musty, pillows were lumpy and when we asked for a couple of extra pillows, the staff said they didn’t have any extra pillows. Overall, it was an awful experience. We booked the room for 2 nights, but decided we couldn’t suffer another night of uncomfortable stay. Would not recommend this place and will never stay here again.
- 1/5
Terrible experience! Stayed for 3 nig
- 1/5
Service was bad, there was no toilet paper and the light didnt work in the restroom. Rooms are outdated really bad dont waste your time staying here. It will be my last.
- 1/5
The room was ok however the air conditioning didnt work other than the fan, one of the beds was broken and it wobbled and there were no washclothes available. When i mentioned this to the front desk they said oh you should have told us and we would have switched rooms for you, after we had to wait for them to come to the window to check in. Not a place for us!
- 1/5
Easy to get to But noisy as hell due to paper thin walls No Kleenex no hangers no soap I got just what paid for Cheap and no frails
- 5/5
Very nice!
- 3/5
Responsive staff & good value prop
- 1/5
Upon check in, you can’t even enter the office. You push a doorbell for someone to come to the outside window and service you, like somewhere where you do payday cash or something like that… Floor was scratched up upon our arrival. You can hear everything, if your AC isn’t on. I could hear people taking next door outside, them opening their door which sounded like our door being opened. Very thin towels. Bedding was just a sheet (no down comforter) and a thin quilt like top blanket which pretty much falls off the bed as your sleeping and moving around. Beds were uneven. Every time we moved, it felt like we would fall off the bed, unstable. Water pressure sucked, showers took longer than usual due to water pressure. The water head looked as if it wasn’t cleaned in at least a month. Rust like stain on sink. No toothbrush, toothpaste, brush/comb (if you forgot one, you’ll have to go to store). Not very convenient.
- 4/5
door is easy to open while We closed.
- 4/5
Consistently the best value prop.
- 3/5
Quiet, close to the freeway…closer to fast food options vs dining. Comfortable bed / pillows.
- 3/5
Fair price-point. Quiet….Convenience to shopping, food & the freeway.
- 5/5
Great service and clean
- 4/5
Only thing in the amenities the tiny shampoo packets were near impossible to open.
- 5/5
There are fantastic places to stay overnight, enjoy fantastic sleeping conditions with air conditioning, and stay on a sensible budget.
- 2/5
Very sparse rooms. It was clean but felt like a Motel 6. In addition, there was a loud screatching noise from the pipes that went on all night. In the morning the manager admitted they have known about the noise and put me in the room anyway without telling me. Then he would not refund the bill or make any concession on the cost. Bad experience. Won’t be back
- 3/5
They are in the process of remodeling. The staff was very accommodating. They were willing to switch us rooms when the air conditioning wasn’t working and the bed frame wasn’t functioning properly. Though the new room had a working air conditioner, it had not toilet paper roll holders and the bed frame was still not functioning. Finally, we noticed that there were holes in then ceiling where wires had been pulled through, or there wasn’t any light fixture.
- 5/5
The property was very clean and so was the room
- 5/5
I like having the microwave and mini refrigerator that actually works. It will be helpful to have additional trash cans, soap holder and extra pillows. I did not like the keys needed to be reprogramed not just once . Overall everything was great 👍
- 4/5
I arrived late and very tired from work and the clerk was cheerful and accommodating. I asked for a 1st floor level room due a bad knee in which climbing stairs would be difficult and I was accommodated. I really appreciated that gesture.
- 1/5
Terribly dirty mattress covered with only one small sheet, which does not even cover the mattress completely. Everything is very dirty, I don't even want to go into details. And there is no safety latch on the door.
- 5/5
Room close my working event a RoseBowl. Needs ice machine and would of rather a downstairs room. Everything else good!
- 5/5
I am eager to arrive, as last Monday was Memorial Day. I anticipate coming in the evening and look forward to resting there. The accommodations are exceptionally comfortable for an overnight stay, with ample parking available, and the manager is very amiable. It is financially prudent to reside there. Come and examine it! Thank you for your time!
- 5/5
This location is truly remarkable and tranquil.5) The chaotic business in that area disrupts your peace of mind during overnight stays. The manager, Jay, is requesting that the assistant inquire about anything. Your presence there is remarkable!
- 5/5
The close to a 5-star rating is pretty accurate. I stayed in a room with king size bed, it is spacious, clean and looks great for the price. I slept soundly and I did not feel any insect bites. The light going into the room can be improved possibly with blackout curtains or something else practical. It’s not that burdensome though, I just need to sleep on one side opposite the window.
- 5/5
Upon reading this message, you will be informed about budget-friendly accommodations and convenient parking options. You will appreciate your overnight stay and frequently return. Consider the expense and manage your budget effectively while enjoying your time in Pasadena, a city renowned for its beauty and diverse culinary offerings. Thank you for your time. Please read this message, as Jay is exceptionally amiable and supportive! He is perpetually smiling!

However, after reading the glowing reviews from past guests, I decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did. The positive feedback is absolutely accurate. This place is a hidden gem in Pasadena. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The property is located in a quiet, safe area with convenient parking. The location is also excellent—close to grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, fitness centers, and major freeways. I’m really glad I took a chance on this place. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, reliable, and affordable stay in Pasadena.
- 5/5
The parking facility is remarkably convenient.
- 2/5
No window. Sheets didn't cover the mattress fully. Someone's hair tie and hair were left on the bathroom doorknob. There was no smoke detector, just dangling wires on the ceiling.
- 5/5
I recommend this establishment for its prudent pricing and comfort. Thank you for your time.
- 5/5
Advice to attend and allocate funds judiciously.
- 5/5
Nice little place that is clean and surprisingly comfortable. If you just need a place to sleep this is it. No frills.. simple place.
- 3/5
Needs to improve: checked in early with an empty parking lot and didn’t have a downstairs room with window available for us which required us carrying luggage up step stairs, room was a little run down (toilet paper dispenser broken), bed was not super comfortable, thin towels
- 5/5
By the way, you will love it there and it is reasonably priced for one night! Come take a look! I appreciate you taking the time to read this message.
- 3/5
It has the basic needs. I was grateful for a shower and a bed but it looked like someone had shaken a soda as it sprayed the ceiling and the tv.
- 5/5
Jay is really welcoming and friendly, and I had a great time spending the night there and felt very safe. Come check it out and make a sensible budget as well!
- 5/5
When I search which good place to staying for I was looking for a good place to stay overnight and found a very nice room with a comfortable bed—it was great! The staff was extremely friendly, and I would definitely return. It was also budget-friendly, making it an ideal choice for an overnight stay. The parking area was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!
- 2/5
It was terrible, first of all, when we came, they did only have one small trash bin in the bathroom, we asked them to give us extra one in the bedroom, they told us we don’t have one, second thing they did only paper towel in bathroom, at last they didn’t offer any room service while we stayed
- 4/5
Basic.. convenient location

Soap enough for the birds…. No coffee machine….. I can go on and on…. Bed so very uncomfortable…. Will never, never stay at Pasadena lodge again.
- 5/5
Peaceful and quiet for the most part. Not overpriced. Simple. A good place to park for sleep and be out most of the day. Have stayed here twice and would rather stay here than the other overpriced lodgings on East Colorado Blvd. I'll be back.
- 4/5
Basic room. Updated bath. Parking available each time I needed it, even after 10PM. Mgt. doesn’t rent to partiers in my time there. Parking felt safe with trade show goods in car.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay at this property. Great staff, clean room, located in a great area.
- 4/5
We had some noisy upstair occupants. However, we so tired that after initially waking up we went back to sleep.
- 1/5
The tv and internet in the first room they assigned us didn't work the one attached to the wall was Broken so they had put one on a dresser that wouldn't connect. Took us to a different room that had the same problem. I am a Handicap person and the next room they assigned us was upstairs. It was absolutely filthy. The floors were warped. when you stepped from the bedroom to the bathroom it felt like you were going to fall through.
- 5/5
Very courteous despite my late arrival.
- 4/5
The shower/bathroom is really nice, but there's no shelves in the shower for soap or shampoo, which is really strange. The sheets on the bed are very thin and provide no warmth or comfort. For the first time in a hotel room, I had to put the temperature at 70 just so we weren't cold at night.
- 5/5
I have enjoyed staying at Pasadena Lodge. It's a nice area, great service, and clean room. I am glad to be able to stay at a good place close to my work. I'll definitely come stay here again soon!
- 5/5
Great spot, quiet, restful, peaceful. Smaller property, great for a day or few days.
- 1/5
Stuff like the bathroom were dirty and weren’t properly clean. The beds were not made correctly and there were prints all over the room.
- 5/5
Loved this cute quiet location! Close to everything! Location felt like i was in one of hose cute little New England hotels. Will definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
We evacuated from the Eaton fire zone in Altadena, CA, making a reservation as we drove down the hill to Pasadena. With a flood of customers lining up to register, staff were unfailingly kind and attentive, even to those they had to turn away. Rooms were small, clean, well-appointed.
- 5/5
Everything was nice. Room was super clean and furniture comfy and room was large.
- 2/5
Smelled of smoke. Walls dirty! There are other options at this price.
- 4/5
Stay was good. I stay twice a year sadly pasedena fires were going so it became smokey and i was unable to stay the full 5 nights
- 3/5
Location was good for us. The king bed was comfortable, but one pillow was lumpy. My main concern was the strong scent if clorox upon entering, which felt toxic. I like a clean room, but they should use different and better products to clean. Meanwhile, despite the smell, the dresser top was dirty. Otherwise, it was okay. The shower worked well and the room also had a small fridge and microwave.
- 4/5
Conveniently located
- 5/5
Everyone who works there is extremely nice and very helpful. And super accommodating. Bed was comfy, enjoyed the hot shower. Something you don’t always get at either hotels or motels. So really appreciate that here at this stay. It’s a very quiet area to enjoy a good nights sleep. Something else this motel has over others is their wide variety of cable channels. Some other motels don’t carry broadcast channels on their TV. But here you can stay updated with local and national news, sports, and premium shows on HBO. Wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Check in was easy and the room was nicer than I expected. Very clean.
- 5/5
Exelente trato, son muy amables y la aviación está muy bien
- 3/5
The floors haven’t been mopped for who knows how long and the back of the door is white with all kinds of fingerprints and dirt, very dirty, and the view was facing. The parking lot seem like a motel, not a hotel.
- 4/5
Good value, clean room, no frills but not bad for the money.
- 5/5
Great deal on a no frills motel. Clean inside, good for one night.
- 2/5
Convenient
- 3/5
For some reason this property only puts a flat sheet and not a fitted sheet or any type of mattress protector over the mattress. When you move around at night you end up waking up on the bare mattress that every other person has likely ended up sleeping on. The room seemed like it was recently remodeled and I appreciate the laminate floors instead of carpet in the rooms but I was disgusted when I woke up and found that I was sleeping on a dirty mattress.
- 4/5
Will recommend to friends. Good choice.
- 3/5
Very basic, guess you get what you pay for.
- 1/5
Not worth the money. Sterile white room. One lamp I had to plug in. Not one picture on the wall. People next door to us were up all night doing drugs. We could hear them through the thin walls. People coming and going in the parking lot all night. A bad experience and this hotel was more expensive than others nearby. An 8 rating? You must be kidding.
- 5/5
Another quiet night at the Lodge!
- 5/5
I liked the spaciousness of my room
- 3/5
Wasn’t a horrible spot, just not the most pleasant. The toilet ran if you didn’t adjust it just right. The room looked like a mismatched garage sale of furniture and starkly decorated. It had an ironing board with no iron. The soap was microscopic with the shampoo in catsup type packets. Basically a ok place to sleep for one night as we did.
- 3/5
Toilet wobbled on its base as though not secured. The sink faucet also wobbled, not stable or secured. The old overstuffed sofa looked too shabby to use.
- 5/5
Great place for the price
- 5/5
Clean and safe
- 4/5
Staff great
- 5/5
Clean hotel fir the price
- 5/5
One of the cleanest and quietest rooms i have stayed at and i've stayed in quite a few. I overslept an hour past checkout since my phone died & i rely on my alarm wake me up and no one bothered me, no one gave me a warning , nothing. They let me sleep in peace. Just the night before i stayed at a hotel in San Gabriel and the cleaning lady just opened my door at 10:30 to tell me i have 30 mins. Didnt even knock or give a heads up. So Pasadena Lodge was awesome for me. Def staying again.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay
- 3/5
I visit my kids often that go to school in Pasadena. This is not my favorite place to stay, but it was clean and much cheaper. It’s hard to find parking downtown and this place had a bit farther of a walk to downtown and they do not charge for parking.
- 4/5
Clean Convenient
- 5/5
Great place for having an affair
- 2/5
The room was clean and updated. I wasn't provided Soap or shampoo Etc. Also there wasn't a blanket on the bed. It only had a comforter that was as thin as a sheet and it crinkled when I moved.
- 5/5
A Very Special Place.
- 5/5
I'm often not sure how long I'll be in town. When I need to extend my stay for a day or two, they are very accommodating.
- 5/5
EXCELLENT
- 2/5
Towels were ancient, felt like sandpaper. Lobby filled with stuff from manager's family? Not terrible, but disappointing.
- 2/5
We booked on Expedia and paid $150 for a night and expected a lot more. It was more like a Motel 6. Thin/stained towels and holes in the blanket. But, no bedbugs and after looking around with a UV light, decided to stay. If it was $60-100/night, then probably about right. Bathroom had been recently redone.
- 4/5
Overall, a decent stay and experience.
- 4/5
It was very quiet, nothing fancy, but nice. Owners are very nice. But honestly. I'd bring my own bath towels for comfort.
- 5/5
Good owner
- 5/5
I truly enjoyed my overnight stay at Pasadena Lodge. The room was clean and comfy. Good and friendly service at the front desk. I felt very safe as a solo traveler and will definitely consider this location if I am ever in the area again!
- 5/5
Check in was a breeze the room was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the small fridge and microwave. I have stayed at a few hotels in the area and this is definitely one of the better for the price.
- 5/5
Deepa was very gracious. Room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Always a pleasure to see the people here. Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. Very spacious.
