Reviews
The hotel has a charming, laid-back vibe with a great location right on the beach, offering easy access and beautiful views. However, cleanliness and maintenance issues are frequently mentioned, along with inconsistent service and overpricing for the quality of accommodations.

Our room smelled musty and damp Our clothes, blankets and our bed etc were always wet feeling and smelled. We had to clean all of our clothes even ones that we did not wear.
- 5/5
Our room, especially the bathroom, need. updated/painted. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Have been staying at this Inn since the 1960’s! Breakfast was the only meal we ate there, but the food was plentiful and delicious.

The Litchfield Inn is a beautiful spot to stay, whether you're coming from another state or just down the road. Easy access to the beach, great restaurants and comfortable rooms give you all you need to rest and relax.

It’s right on a long stretch of beach in a cute enclave and close to shopping and dining. The hotel has a restaurant that I frequented during my stay. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I liked the property but the air conditioner was no match for the humidity. My room was cool but a bit damp.

Close to beach Air conditioner very loud

The rooms are really old and need updating. Unfortunate that we could not get housekeeping daily with spending over 200 per night because we didn't stay for 7 days. Had to ask for more soap, towels, shampoo, etc. Great location and restaurant staff were awesome. Room is a 5 and location is a 10.

Access to beach very good. Parking limited near room, needed to park in lot across street. Daily replenishment of fresh towels and empty trash was very good.

Food was very good Facility is a little dated.

The entire staff was phenomenal! Customer service was top notch! Being on the 3rd floor with no elevator was a little rough. Having to go up and down the stairs was the only downfall during our stay.

I always love it here! The staff are amazing!
- 3/5
View was awful. Ok, I didn’t expect an ocean view but I did expect more than a view of a fence and a neighbouring condo. Room was ‘regular’ modest motel standard, shower tap was tricky, shower head fell off and shower door didn’t close. $500 for 2 nights and the bar and restaurant were both closed at 9pm on a Saturday night…
- 5/5
Beautiful ocean view from our room, we had the King Dunes. Very clean and staff was very friendly. Food and drinks at the pool bar were awesome. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
- 5/5
The room the staff and parking was all awesome. We booked another trip. Thank you so much.

Dining that evening raised concerns as well. My 3 year old child was given fries with sriracha ketchup without any warning, despite saying he was hungry. He kept saying they were spicy, and the server never acknowledged it, even though regular ketchup was available. The next morning, while ordering breakfast to go, I was mid-sentence asking about timing when staff walked away to assist another table. She later returned, slid the bill over with little interaction, gave nearly incorrect change, and then asked for a tip. When I expressed that the interaction felt rude, the apology didn’t feel genuine. Additionally, housekeeping knocked twice before checkout time, which felt intrusive. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism, communication, and attentiveness. As someone with years of dining room management experience, I know the standard of service—and this fell short. I also left feeling uncomfortable with how I was treated and questioned whether all guests are given the same level of respect.

We booked 2 nights in a Tower King Oceanfront room, situated in a 7 story building facing the ocean. We were on the first floor, which was disappointing because our view was of a public access boardwalk. All we could see were people hanging out on the boardwalk. You could only see the ocean if you were looking left at the window or on the patio, which had no privacy. We decided we should see if there was another room available on a higher level, so I picked up the phone to call the front desk and the phone was dead! When we went to the front desk and asked about another room we found out they were sold out. The young lady at the desk said there may be one other room she could show us, but it was a resort view in a one story building and was considered a downgrade. We decided to look at it anyway. The view was a fence with 2 brick buildings behind it. It was absolutely awful! So we kept the original room and made the best of it. However, the refrigerator did not work and the room lacked outlets. There was only one outlet behind the bed and the charger port next to the bed didn’t work. This is a very dated hotel and yet they have the nerve to charge an extra $116 hotel fee. But we didn’t really take advantage of the extra amenities such as the pool or the restaurant on the premises. Breakfast was not included and it was expensive. On the bright side, the beach was beautiful and I’m glad we brought our own beach chairs because they would have charged us to rent them.

Great view of the beach and easy access.
- 5/5
Charming older style building, but very clean and up to date. Well kept. Rooms comfortable, very clean. Modernized, but still had their original beauty. Just a beautiful little Inn. Wonderful views of the beach. Could sit on my little porch and watch the ocean all day. Staff went above and beyond to make the stay very pleasant. Hoping to return again soon! AAAAA+

Everything was perfect.

The beach location and the on site terrific restaurant. The property management company who shamed customers who booked on the non preferred web site and refused room locations that they sought from guests ahead of check in. (All rooms are individually owned and decorated so there are in addition to the location variable room amenities variables.)

Beautiful location right on beach.
- 4/5
If you go thru Expedia, you could get the least desired room, like I did. Oceanfront, ground floor blocked by fencing. The desk moved us to 3rd floor. You don’t get breakfast vouchers. Go thru the Oceanside Litchfield Inn website; better price and amenities.
- 5/5
Beach view and access are wonderful. Had no problem with finding a place to park.
- 3/5
Staff helpful and friendly, property clean, oceanfront a plus, parking at hotel not good but available parking across the street, no pool towels, really no “amenities”, both pools are always empty, outdoor bar could use an upgrade, service mediocre inside the downstairs restaurant, slow but good service at bar area, food prices reasonable, alcoholic beverages pricing ok, complimentary Lobby coffee bar and water is suggested after the $200 “fees” that were paid. Tide to table had amazing service and views, Small dinner portions/higher prices, dinner Caesar salad dressing was not good, not very impressed with the food but the view is amazing. For reference; Salmon and Short rib were ordered.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay, right on the beach. It's a little dated but overall nice.

There was nothing I liked about staying at this property. I got a different room than I booked. It was so old, beat up and dirty. They hung a TV on the wall in a different spot and they never even painted over the old spot. The bed was on a metal frame that looked like a roll away bed. The mini split on the wall was about to die and we had no hot water in the shower. We went to the front desk to speak to management and she was so rude and nasty!!!! She would not move our room, she said they are not a resort they are a condo hotel where all the rooms are privately owned. I told her the condition of tne room and asked don't you have standards for the owners of these rooms....she said the rooms are reserved first come first serve and you can see pictures of all rooms on their website....well we certainly could not find any pictures of the unit we rented!! She said there is nothing she can do but send the maintenance man for the hot water...well 2 guys came, most unfriendly...agreed there was no hot water, said they were going to talk to their boss and come back..they came back and said our boss won't let us fix it, the water is reversed so you have to turn the handles in the opposite direction, would you like a cold shower not me. We paid alot of money for two nights and will never return to this property again...oh one more thing one of the dresser draws was fill with men's underwear and shirts that were not ours, not even the cleaning service does a good job!!!!!!

Very nice property right on the beach! We’ve begun to come here regularly.

Restaurant Staff - Not happy - came across not happy and sad.. Rooms are Nice - but Not Cleaned Properly!!!
- 5/5
We will be back with family. We really enjoyed the Tide to Table restaurant. The service ans food were excellent.
- 4/5
Great view from the balcony. Room small but had everything we needed. Restaurant staff seemed to not notice us in a timely and friendly way.
- 5/5
Our room,on the 6th floor, oceanside was perfect! The room was clean and comfortable, having a king-size bed and 6 pillows. We had a mini-kitchen and a bathroom with extra towels. Our stay was perfect!
- 5/5
Love how the rooms are right on the beach, each room is alittle different but always clean and well maintained. The staff are excellent!
- 4/5
parking was hard to navigate.
- 3/5
Elevator was always dirty. Need to update toilet paper holder as it was broke. Parking was safe but should be compact cars only on the parking side of the road. Trucks block your view pulling out of designated parking. Overall complaint the restaurant for breakfast was literally behind every morning. Food was inconsistent, more than 3 or more customers were frustrated and walked out. We were there 3 times and each time it was repeat of poor service and no manager in charge. Waitresses were trying to keep up but even they did a poor job just maintaining coffee and drinks as customers seated. One day we did stop in and decided we didn’t have the patience to wait like we had the other three days. The. Owe from our rooms were amazing. But don’t think I would re book again.
- 5/5
Great beach front Inn. Wonderful restaurant too. Easy parking and very clean
- 5/5
Love this Place
- 5/5
Beautiful area. Beautiful views. Beautiful front. The room is big and spacious. Very relaxing, and soothing, we can hear ocean waves from our bedroom. The sands is clear and smooth. Very close to all the areas. Highly recommend. If I ever come to South Carolina again, I will definitely stay here.
- 3/5
The hotel was fine, but did not quite match the description online. Online it showed a photo of what it looked like a full kitchen with a normal sized refrigerator, etc. The reality is that it was a mini fridge. The coffee maker is one of those odd standard hotel coffee makers that used weird little pods. We just went to Walmart and bought our own coffee pot. We asked a housekeeping staff person about toilet tissue and he only said that he did not have any. He did not offer to try to take care of that for us. This was an OK place, but I’m not sure that I would return there. I did not feel like it was worth the price we paid to stay there.
- 3/5
Beach view was on side and by public beach walkway...mold on shower curtain...only one elevator for 7 floors...okay needs some updating and include breakfast
- 3/5
Bookings exclude breakfast when booked through Hotels.com
- 5/5
Parking was available right in front of our room. It was too cold to swim but the beach is right out front. A nice little hotel.
- 3/5
Great Location - beautiful view - very nice staff, that is the really good stuff. The motel is very dated and we had one of the higher end rooms. Lobby, pool area and eating areas have all been updated. Would I stay here again - maybe.
- 3/5
It was nice to be on the beach.

Great local property was a great stay
- 5/5
The view from the room was amazing. At first glance, it did not appear somewhere we would stay. The staff was so kind and words cannot express how wonderful the view was from the room.
- 5/5
Had an ocean front room with screened porch- great
- 4/5
older property but rooms were clean and appliances & bathrooms were updated. couldn't see the ocean, was resort view (of neighboring complex) and unfortunately window did not open to get some air movement. overall, decent stay and would stay there again.
- 3/5
No breakfast as it said on the website. Room was dusty and old. No direct access to the beach from “oceanfront dunes” room!
- 5/5
We loved our room in the towers!! It was spotless and decorated in a beach motif. Our view was beautiful.
- 3/5
Old and beat up hotel average at best
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great stay! Perfect spot, comfortable room!
- 5/5
Room was okay. But the view was absolutely awesome. Right on the beach. It was awesome.
- 5/5
Location is great, rooms are clean & have great amenities. Wonderful breakfast at the Tide Beach Bar.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Bathroom was very dated and needs a remodeled. Bed was cheap, mattress was cheap and hard as a brick. Pillows were way too firm and too big and no soft pillow options. Needless to say, I slept like crap and tossed and turned all night.
- 3/5
Bathroom was very small. Shower head came out of the center of the ceiling-very odd location.
- 5/5
Clean, relaxing, great service

The room was very clean, and the staff was just great!
- 5/5
Beautiful view and near everything as far as restaurants and shopping! Friendly staff. Beds are comfy.
- 3/5
Because we booked on a third party site, free breakfgast bar was not included. The trash and dirty linen had to be placed on the floor inside the door so the staff could just open the door and remove it without cleaning up. My wife booked a ground floor room, was given a second floor room, which makes it hard for a handicapped old man. A blanket would have been an asset. The good. The view was outstanding.
- 3/5
Staff friendly. Beautiful location but dated property. We knew that when we booked and price reflected that, so all good. Nice view but probably won’t stay again.
- 5/5
our room was oceanfront...was a beautiful view, ate in the tide to bar resturant at the hotel, food was good!! the beds were not as confortable ...
- 4/5
I was pretty shocked, however, by the amount of the fees added on to the room cost. $100 seems a lot.
- 5/5
The room was wonderful. Our grandson had a blast in the pool and being so close to the beach was a plus. Having the restaurant so close and having great food was a great addition. Hope to come back soon.
- 1/5
The rooms were dirty. Staff was very friendly
- 4/5
The room is clean. The staff were very professional. We had a wonderful time.
- 4/5
Although my visit was brief and due to unfortunate circumstances, the room was exceptionally clean and the bed very comfortable. I would certainly stay again.
- 4/5
The property was situated so you could be on the pool deck and enjoy unobstr view of the beach just a few yards away.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Location is great ! The room was not clean and very drafty…. AC was loud when the compressor kicked on.
- 4/5
While I was checking out, staff didn’t provide me any statement!!!
- 5/5
Would definitely love to return
- 5/5
It’s very nice.
- 4/5
Absolutely , loved the view
- 1/5
The owners dis a brief remodel, painting over wall paper and putting up headboard on ceiling but it needs to be gutted and remediated. The mattress was as old uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Outstanding view of the ocean.
- 1/5
This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Not clean, door lock had been kicked in, no shower curtain(!). I felt very unsafe after dark. I booked an oceanfront room and I could only see a small area of ocean. And almost $200 with fees for this dump.
- 5/5
Awesome property
- 5/5
Room was very clean as well as the grounds. Beach access was amazing!
- 4/5

- 4/5
Old motel in nice area. We had fun.
- 4/5
The property had kind and helpful front desk staff. The parking was easy. The pool was nice, and the beach was beautiful. Weekday rates were fair. Unfortunately, they did not provide lounge chairs on the beach. There was a service that provided chairs for $20 each for the day. I thought that was a bit overpriced. $10 would have been a lot fairer. The mattresses in our room were sloped. Uneven. Neither of us was able to sleep. We also had the A/C unit blowing on one of the beds continuously. The oceanfront room was wonderful though.
- 4/5
comfortable beds. very nice bath room with a great shower.
- 5/5
Room was super cute. Huge tv if you are into that. Shower was excellent.
- 4/5
The view was stunning, and the beach super clean. The access to the beach was easy, and the pool and common areas were clean. Our screen porch was great, but the guests directly above us smoked cigarettes and other things, so we were smoked out a few times, and the hotel staff did nothing, even though we had to sign a document that said smoking was not allowed. We mentioned our concerns twice and nothing was done.
- 2/5
The sheets were scratchy. Miserable sleep. Breakfast buffet was $13.99 with no options for healthy food.
- 5/5
Island of our dreams. Will return.
- 5/5
Friendly environment and “homey” feeling. Wonderful place to unwind and relax.
- 5/5
Was greeted cordially by the staff on arrival and they answered all our questions and assisted in helping out when needed.
- 5/5
Loved having ocean view from room and easy access to beach. Room could have been slightly cleaner and shower drsin needed work, but otherwise all good.
- 5/5
Perfect location! Beautiful, quiet area .
- 4/5
Other only thing was that there was a slight odor when we entered our room for the first time, but after a couple hours we didn’t smell it again. Nothing to much to complain about.
- 5/5
The room & property wereclean and the staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The pool side room was nice and clean and smelled good when we walked in. The staff was great, especially the front desk and the employee at tide beach bar. Only downfall The bed was fairly hard and not very comfortable. We had a great view and a great first experience and we will definitely be back. The food and drinks at tides beach bar is excellent!!!
- 5/5
It is so close to the beech. You feel like you are on the beech when you are in your room or on your balcony. Also many restaurants within minutes on Hwy 17. The food was great every where we ate.
- 5/5
the room was great and the view was nice
- 5/5
We kept asking for towels and piling up the dirty towels. We had to throw away our garbage out in the dumpster. The other problem, our room was right next to the gate that went to the pool, so people would just slam the door with no regard to there being guests in the room next to it. Possibly have a spring that slowly closes on the gate? Other than that, the room and bed and shower were all very comfortable. Our view of the beach and ocean was lovely.
- 4/5
Great beach access.
- 5/5
Would re
- 3/5
They don’t give you a free breakfast when you book your reservation with Expedia.
- 2/5
The Night time staff was horrible! We checked out the first morning of a 4 night stay. The day manager was helpful, but couldn’t stay after the rudeness of a couple of employees
- 3/5
This was one of the worst rooms we’ve stayed in at The Oceanfront. We were very Disappointed! We had a booked a Dunes room to begin with and were very excited but due to my husbands work schedule had to change our arrive date by one day and lost out on that room. We had to make a whole new rsvp pay another deposit and ended up with a not as nice room. The room had a bad musty smell. Terrible shower although the water was hot really hard to get the water rinsed off and out of your hair. Bathroom space very small not lot room to get ready dry hair. Never want a room like that again
- 4/5
All good
- 5/5
Ocean view, ocean swimming, pools and breakfast. and great service at dinner grill.and full service restaurant with ocean views. Very pleased with room and location overall.
- 5/5
Beautiful beach. Great staff Oceanfront room really nice
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
Our stay was great! However I would’ve been happier if the housekeeping was better and cleaned day by day. Asked for our bedding to be changed multiple times before they dropped off sheets to me then I had to put them on the bed myself only to find out they were the wrong size. Overall happy with my stay just wish the housekeeping kept up on their rooms.
- 2/5
Returning to my room in thhe evening to find there was no service at all. Unmade bed and towels just as we had left them. For the rate charged, this is totally unacceptable
- 1/5
Our room was musty smelling, mildew on lampshades. Management changed those out. We went to dinner, when we turned the tile floor was moist, puddle of water by air conditioner unit. Bedspread & sheets were moist to the touch. Attendant at front desk moved us to another room. It did smell better but we noticed mirror in room was completely covered in moisture as well as another granite countertop. That was enough for we left & checked into a Hampton Inn in Georgetown,SC.
- 4/5
clean, comfortable, friendly staff; great location right on beach; would definitely book again
- 5/5
Great facility, location, and staff.
- 3/5
The pillows are too hard.
- 5/5
Beautiful View of the Ocean, balcony, not too crowded ! The staff are very hard working and very nice😊
- 2/5
The location and the beach area is very good. The hotel itself is somewhat dated. It appears some attemps were made to update plumbing fixtures and bedding. The rug in the room was a bit dingy. The bifold closet door was mising a guide in the track making it hard to close. The room had a musty smell and was very damp. A dehumidifier was needed to help control that. There were very few open electrical sockets available in order to charge cell phones. Several extension cords were routed in order to try to remody that. There was a complementery breakfast available to those who booked directly. We did not qualify for this because we booked thru Expedia. The breakfast itself consisted of powdered scranbled eggs and some breakfast meats that were somewhat cold at a cost of $13.00. Not too satifying. The main plus of this facility was the location and quality of the beach.
- 4/5
Love that the beach is not crowded
- 4/5
We liked that it was right on the water and the balcony room. However, the property could use some updates.
- 4/5
Room was very nice. Beachfront access was great. Needs more vending machines easy access to drinks and snacks. Room was not cleaned while we were there but I might not have read that it was not something they offer. Overall nice place and would go back again!
- 3/5
The bad: The two front deskmen were creepy. The man delivering towels was rude and mentally unstable….quite possibly a future serial killer. The bar at the pool wasn’t open. The towels felt like sand paper. Check-in time was 4pm. Overpriced. Parking availability wasn’t convenient. The good: Room was clean. Air conditioner adequately cooled the room. Friendly staff in the restaurant/bar.
- 5/5
It was just a great place for peace and quiet
- 5/5
My most favorite place to visit
- 4/5
Room was dirty.
- 4/5
The rooms are in need of repairs. The staff was amazing. The hotel was right on the beach.
- 5/5
The facility was very convenient, with a nice pool bar/restaurant and a pleasant, accommodating staff. Close to stores and other restaurants as well. Very comfortable.
- 3/5
Love the location. Room was older. Sliding glass door to balcony foggy so couldn’t see out half the time, and very hard to open. Elevators very old and very hot. Property definitely needs some TLC.
- 3/5
The elevator was broken my entire stay
- 5/5
Clean and quiet. Quick access to the beach. Amazing front desk staff
- 5/5
Joe with Guest Services was perfect. As a person with disabilities and traveling alone, I felt very comfortable. The King Deluxe Room was perfection with gorgeous ocean views. Parking couldn’t be any easier. Renting the beach umbrella and chairs in front of the Inn was wonderful and worth the price of only $40. I will be back and thank you to Joe!
- 4/5
The rooms were on the older side but it was ok nothing fancey
- 3/5
Facility was tired and apparently understaffed, resulting in poor service. We had to ask for towels to be replaced on our 2nd day because no one came to our room, as was expected on a daily basis. We had a maintenance issue with the toilet, which was not properly addressed. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean property with friendly staff. The convenience of two pools and a bar/restaurant in between was great
- 5/5
its a pretty nice place
- 1/5
Mold all over the room. Staff moved us to another room and it was worse. Elevators smelled of mold as well. It should be closed until remediation can be done. Do not stay there! They did refund our money but we had nowhere else to go. This place has a major problem.
- 5/5
Excellent restaurant upstairs
- 5/5
Very lovely staff at check in. Made to feel very at home
- 5/5
so originally our first room that we got was an oceanfront room it was not very clean and there ended up being some mold on the curtains, so we went downstairs and talked to the staff, and they placed us in a very nice room with a pool view and the service was really great. overall, really enjoyed the stay and would be happy to go back.
- 5/5
We loved our six floor corner room balcony and stayed out there a lot. It had a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. The room was comfortable and very spacious. There were portions of our room that were outdated while other portions were updated. The door to the room was difficult to open but we managed. We figured it was salt build up around the seams that made it want to stick. We ate at the restaurant just off the lobby and they had a fantastic smash burger and wrap. The walk to the beach was fine and the beach was beautiful though got more crowded than expected. We would stay here again as we did enjoy a much needed getaway and we would request that particular room again for the view.
- 2/5
The proximity to the beach was excellent. Also, the beach bar was great too. It’s nice to have a pool after days at the beach. However, the staff and facilities left a lot to be desired! We were there 3 nights and didn’t get more than 1 towel. Each time we went to the front desk, every person said “we are short” or “We haven’t been restocked”. Not to mention the pool towels were never available. Our room door didn’t even shut fully, so had to shove it closed and prayed no one came in the middle of the night or when we were gone. The glass door took the strength of Solomon to open. Cold water didn’t exist. Just all around, not worth the price. Go with Motel 6 and you’ll have a better experience.
- 4/5
The pool areas and restaurants are very nice and the service excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room had a little bit of mold issue but being a wet, beach climate, it’s understandable. However, the cleaning staff needs to be more diligent about cleaning the mold out of the tracks of the shower door. The curtains in the room were torn and also had mold spots. Again, I guess the owner of the unit needs to address this. We’ve been coming to this Inn for over 40 years and have seen many changes as they transitioned from a motel to privately owned rooms. This is the only oceanfront hotel on Litchfield Beach so it’s worth the convenience. I think we’ll try the Tower the next time we come.
- 2/5
I booked an ocean front 2 queen bed room. After getting checked in ,i grabbed my luggage when noticed that the room i got couldn't be ocean frnt. I went back to the office when i was told i was moved to different room due to problem with my room. I was too tired to travel 2 more hours to get home so i decided to stay. The room was on the main floor, facing the noisy pool. Not what i booked or paid for.

Always a great place to stay just hard to get towels sometimes so bring your own

Breakfast vouchers were nice to have and the breakfast buffet was a short walk from our room with a good variety of choices.

I canceled the room the third night. When I called they seem to know it was a problem. I do not know how they are not closed down. I am a medical person and it was on safe.

Experience was good, I was disappointed with not having our garbage taken out nor dirty towels were picked up. I had to request toilet paper. Location was nice, as long as they do what they said they would -- review will be updated!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great, and we loved having a pool, bar and restaurant on site.

Absolutely love this place. Highly recommend it. This was my second trip. Will be a regular from now on.

Apparently, some time after we made the reservation for the THREE of us, even though it was made clear that we had an infant and NEEDED a crib, they sent a email verification that went unanswered. If our plans had changed it would have been communicated directly. The crib Should have been in the room when we checked in. The room overall was quite ratty for $350/night. The restaurant food was very good.

The beach was quiet and very clean

Dirty towels, dirty bathroom. Dated hotel. Excellent location.

Friendly staff, clean room. Would have been helpful to have access to beach chairs (that weren't for rent for $40/day) and the elevator in the tower was extremely warm and slow. Would definitely stay again.

Property is extremely run down, unclean and noisy.

Stayed in the King Tower Deluxe room. Very spacious, first floor. Convenient to parking and the room has the best view. Only suggestion would be to put high top chairs on the patio so it’s easier to see over the railing. Other than that, the room is great and we’d definitely stay there again!

A very good place to stay.

The Beach was great! The Litchfield Inn was a dump. I’d never recommend anyone stay there.

We didn’t stay !!!! They had the reservation all wrong .

I have stayed here previously and did not have the problems I had with this visit.

Bed was terrible. Room 253. 2 singles put together to make a king.

Sliding glass doors poor and front door in rough shape.

I was very impressed by how close to the beach we were! My wife has a service dog and they were very welcoming

Great stay and loved my ocean front beach cottage room!!

We stayed in the ocean tower which we found our are individually owned. Our hotel room had mold in the shower, the toilet paper holder fell off the room, the mattresses were on make shift blocked and when sitting on the side of the bed the mattress flipped up! The room was not worth what we were charged.

Nice room, but had difficulty getting cleaning staff in to deal with a spill from the balcony above. Otherwise, a great experience and we will return.

Check in was a mess. The room was not very clean. Janitorial staff was rude. I have stayed here before with a positive experience. Not this time. The only positive was the restaurant and the car staff.

Great customer service even with a bad storm overhead. Thank you

The Litchfield Inn is an updated older place. Our room was perfect for us, and the private screened in porch with rocking chairs just yards from the ocean was the best! It absolutely made our stay a great one! I appreciated the linens, full size fridge, microwave and cook top. It was quiet, the air conditioner was cold, and it wasn't overcrowded like it is at Myrtle Beach. The included breakfast isn't anything special, it's actually very basic, but it was free and we had ours every morning. There's an on-site restaurant for dining (we didn't partake) and plenty of restaurants just minutes away. The only downside was the parking, you don't get an assigned spot and we had to park across the street. However, the lack of traffic made it an effortless walk. I'll absolutely return to this hotel!!

I reserved a room w two queens - I received a king- making the stay uncomfortable at best.

Right on the beach! Our room was amazing!

The view from this property is understated… I’m super excited to go back.

We had a very nice experience with our room in the tower. The view was amazing and the convenience of stepping out onto the beach was great. The Inn is older, but our room was decent. Our sliding glass door probably needs to be updated soon, but other than that, everything was great.

The maid service just walked in with out knocking soon after check in which was a shock for us both, but she did apologize. Seconds soon and she would have have a show since I had just had changed into my swim wear. 😂 the dining and beach are great and the property is nice for the area. I’d love a hot tub on the property, but it was a great getaway.

Beach was not crowded, and areas on property overlooking the beach was a great place to relax while enjoying the sunset and evening watching the waves.
