Holiday Inn Express Pensacola Downtown by IHG

While under renovation, the hotel was still an excellent value in a great location that was walkable to all the Pensacola spots.

Hotel is undergoing some renovations, but overall location was ideal. The staff was incredible, very helpful and gave us good recommendations for dinner.

The second floor was undergoing renovation and the guy was working in the hall until 2200 Friday night. And on Saturday morning. Unacceptable. Room 217 was great. Beds were wonderful. Thanks front desk folks.

It was close and within walking distance to The Saenger Theatre, 3 short blocks. Room was very clean, just renovated, carpet was new. Beds were comfy and we had a nice view of the water, 4th FL, rm 415. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Yummy restaurants close by within walking distance, The Fish House I highly recommend trying, food and servers were excellent. It was under construction/renovations, but only during the day, at night, it was very quiet.

Parking was free at least, good location but the renovations really put a damper on the whole experience. Breakfast was decent and the breakfast staff was very helpful. Way overpriced for what you got, no maid service either.

The bed was super comfortable, staff very nice and professional, room was large and well maintained. Location was excellent for our trip. Lobby is under construction and breakfast was all processed food- so very disappointed with that. Coffee was pretty good Food

Friendly staff, and despite the ongoing construction inside was a pleasant stay.

Breakfast fresh daily though menu items changes. One day there was biscuits with gravy, another day had sausage links and omelet. Grits are instant.

Excellent location! Right in the heart of downtown. Coffee machine in the room was broken. I discovered that unfortunate fact at 4:00 am. The cleaning staff did not change out the coffee items (creamer/sugar/napkin/utensils) from the precious people or replenish the coffee.

Hotel was in the middle of a remodel but it was still clean and quiet. Hotel was in agreat area and the staff was amazing. Breakfast had a great variety.

Clean room, gym was nice- staff was nice. Entire lobby was under construction- for whole stay. Heavy paint fumes. Hopefully they finish soon. Great location

If you don't value privacy, this hotel is ok. I was initially given a room on the first floor. The room looked directly outside to the fire pit. And the curtains don't close. I requested another room and they told me, all of the rooms are like that. I requested a room on a different floor, at least. Daniel was helpful and moved me to a second floor room. So, the ac/heat unit is under the window and the curtains do not close over it. I don't know who approved a design that offers no privacy. Though I was on the second floor, the building across the way could see directly into my room. My room had recently been updated and smelled of paint. Luckily I was up early, however, if I had needed to sleep past 8am, that would have been challenging since there was remodeling going on on the second floor. For what I paid for this room, I am extremely disappointed and will never stay there again.

Original room needed attention. Furniture looked worn and baseboards were separating from the wall. The floor I was put on had a lot of construction. I didn’t see any other guests but was surrounded by 10-15 construction workers, broke Sheetrock and tools in the hallways and an uneasiness. Once I reported this to the front desk, they moved my room and everything went smooth with pleasant apologies and big smiles. I’m not sure why they would have originally put me on a floor that was consumed by renovations, but they def handled my concerns well.

Halloween trip it was awesome

Being downtown and surrounded by plenty of beautiful sights and things to do. The facilities in the hotel were great. I didn’t feel stressed at all and everybody was very nice I liked everything!

Really enjoyed the location of this hotel. Staff was pretty friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was superb! They acted like they really enjoyed their jobs. My only complaint: cookies were put out at 3 PM each day and we were never back in time to enjoy one! With the hotel consider a treat like this to be put out several times during the day?

Booked my reservation days in advance & went to check in to find out they were overbooked and had no rooms. They gave the people checking in in front of me my room as they happened to get there before me and used a different site to book the same room. Upon my turn, I was just out of luck, no room for the night, even though I had paid a few days earlier. Since I booked through Expedia, they couldn’t directly refund me and then I had to contact Expedia on my own to get the refund, which was the easiest process of the whole thing, but still absolutely ridiculous on behalf of Holiday Inn. The girl at the front desk was very nice, and attempted to solve the problem, even though it wasn’t her fault.

We had an awesome stay, we were suppose to have a room with a walk in shower due to my back problems but was assigned one without. I was told at check in they did not assign me that type of room and it was noted in the computer not to change my room and was told by someone else the type of room I had did not come with a walk in shower which I found out later that it wasn't true. come to find out it was a miscommunication between the housekeeper and the person who assigned the room, they did apologize. the room was clean for the most part, we did find something on one of the pillows but other than that it was good. Everyone was nice and helpful. great location!

So we left for our Beach trip a day early to enjoy this spot and beach the Saturday traffic. ;)

It’s with an easy walking distance of Palafox Street with all the restaurants and bars. We were there for a Saenger Theater concert and this hotel is perfect for that.

Shower had someone else’s hair still on the wall and I started receiving text that my email was hacked after checking in.

It is a pleasant, clean hotel centrally located in downtown Pensacola. It offers a beautiful view of the bay and bridge which goes over to Gulf Breeze.

Great spot. We were there for a concert at the Vinyl and it was an easy walk and safe area.

Everything was excellent from being greeted by Sophia checking in to breakfast before checking out, except for the room was a bit worn. There were wine stains on the carpet by the bedside table, the back cushion of the couch was dirty, and the general smell wasn’t fresh. In a scale of 1-10, a solid 6 due to the room.

Would have been a wonderful stay had we not been in the front of building where all the traffic is. Didn’t sleep 3 nights due to noise. Otherwise it was great! We’ll be back but we’ll be sure they place us in the back

The property is in the perfect location to downtown areas. Parking is free. Greeted with a smile and cookies. Check in fast. Rooms clean and spacious. Beds and linens great slept well. Would definitely stay again.

The morning buffet was excellent

It was a great place to stay when doing down town and staff was amazing with that being said when I checked in and went to the room it was not cleaned at all. With that being said they were able to give me a new room!

The down side of this place is the parking. It is on a separated lot across the street. It doesn't feel safe.

Hotel and staff were great! Only issue we had was that the sink in the bathroom in our room was clogged and took forever for the water to go down. Also, the parking was challenging!

Not near the beach, but walking distance to lots of shopping & restaurants & bars. Quiet area and the hotel itself was very quiet. Parking in a separate lot behind the hotel. Breakfast is standard hot hotel breakfast. The complimentary popcorn & cookies are a nice touch. Pool is small but clean. Nice fire pit area with a large gas BBQ grill guests can use. Microwave & fridge in room.

Arrived at the hotel at 5:30 and room was not ready even though check in is at 4:00. The manager and front desk cleaned the room while we waited for another 30-45 mins to get checked in.

Excellent place to stay in Downtown Pensacola! Perfect for us for restaurants, shopping, terrific Saturday market, quick trip to many close by beaches and all Pensacola has to offer! Breakfast buffet was supreme! Breakfast staff person Victoria was so helpful and kind EVERY morning. Property was extremely well taken care of and clean. We will be back for a white sand Florida beach vacation and we will stay at Holiday Inn Express Pensacola!
