Best Western North Phoenix Hotel

Called 6 times on the way there to ask for early checkin, was placed on hold each time and made to wait 5 mins before the call disconnected. Got there to check in and the lobby was so hot and uncomfortable

They text me when we left our child blanket and teddy bear. We had just got in and didn't go to the store yet and the lady at the front desk was able to give me some milk for my child. Very close to castles and coasters and restaurants The area is not very safe for single woman or families. Breakfast was very bland. The pool was very cold amd very dirty. My friends got to there room someone else bags was in the room

We had the greatest front desk help, Ashley. She was pleasant and extremely helpful. Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was different every morning. Very close to eating and shopping. We would stay there again.

They charged me again for my room which was already paid for through Booking.com. I noticed the extra charge on my Credit Card and had to ring them to get it refunded....... beware of this happening to you.

They left a bag full of feces covered towels in my closet. When I asked them to come pick the towels the manager asked what she wanted me to do.

The room and property were very clean. Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken. Breakfast was hot and they kept it full. It also tasted good.

Old lumpy bed…. Very sagging. Noisy fan on the AC unit rumbled all night.

Fresh fruit was small apple or fresh pineapple. Eggs were reconstituted tasting. Bacon and sausage ok. Bread/ bagels / so so. Coffee was good . Eating space was small!!

Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive thanks to Diego. He was awesome—very attentive, hardworking, and clearly takes pride in his work. Everything was organized and well-kept, and his positive attitude made a big difference. Overall, great value, great service, and a clean, comfortable stay. I’d definitely come back!

Only complaint is that the EV charger isn't available. Said it was being repaired, but there was only a post, no evidence of it ever being usable. I booked this hotel specifically to or the ability to charge my car. Added expense and inconvenience. Please update your website.

Basic no frills property but clean, ample parking, solid breakfast. Great staff. Needed a quick overnight to break up a long drive day and it was perfect. Would stay again. The double queen room plus pull out couch is large, ample square footage.

This Best Western is certainly one of the better ones. The decor is up to date, the room nicely decorated, very clean with a great flow. The tub actually works!

Borderline tolerable. Multiple shortcomings on basics: e.g., hot water in early AM barely lukewarm for shower before Uber pickup; HVAC unit not only noisy but rattled so much that it shook the headboard of the nearby bed (no kidding: the headboard shook when cooling kicked in); big hole in drywall behind main door had been patched but never painted. Etc. It shouldn't be hard to do better. Passed on the pre-packaged breakfast spread for a nearby First Watch.

The hotel and our room was pretty clean. The only issues we had was the loudest of the AC unit, especially since it was hot we needed to keep it on at night.

Got an accessible room and did not book that room and the front desk person would not let us switch rooms. The room was clean but very outdated. Breakfast was decent. Won’t come back though unfortunately.

The breakfast was amazing and offered a variety of items. I did not like that the rooms face outdoors instead on inside the building since I had children with me and I had safety concerns. The building is a bit outdated but overall our stay was good.

Two bath towels are enough for my wife but then I have to dry off with a hand towel.That's my only complaint. The room was spotless and the staff great. I was too tired to call for another towel, but I love my wife and she seems to be cootie-free.

Convenient parking. Nice outdoor pool area. Our room had a kitchenette, which we didn’t need, but worked out since we had dinner leftovers to reheat. The plate was still soiled from the last guest. Floors need a regular mopping as our feet/socks turned black from them. We had been on the road for a month and this was by far the most expensive hotel and most disappointing. Husband also said breakfast was not great either.

Room was good size and all in order. One thing we noticed was bit dark in the room especially bathroom. We didn’t have a chance to use pool but looked great. Hotel located away from the street, so it was nice and quiet in our unit and pool area. For the price, it’s very decent we’d use it again if we were in the area!

Everything was clean & functional. Breakfast was middle of the road, but they had everything you need. Mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Functional mini fridge & microwave. I did not try the pool or fitness facilities. They sold snacks & drinks up front.

The staff was extremely aggressive and rude. Despite confirming at check-in that our room was fully paid (as shown on Expedia), they refused to let us leave at checkout, falsely claiming we owed the full amount. They accused us of being thieves and illegally charged our guarantee card. We are disputing this charge. Based on other reviews, this appears to be a common scam. Stay away!

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, & breakfast was good, with lots of options & fresh food. The parking area was well lit & had plenty of spaces for the guests while we were there. It was really quiet in the building which was nice. We didn't get a chance to use the pool unfortunately, but we did get a chance to sit outside near the pool, while eating breakfast & others were swimming while we ate. It looked clean & the area around it was well kept. I would stay definitely stay here again!

This was good for a quick overnight before the next destination on my trip. The thing I noticed most was even when entering the building, but especially in the room, you could smell the water... it smelled like rotten eggs/sulfur. I could smell this when brushing my teeth and using the bathroom sink. The room was fine and bed was pretty comfy. The best part was how friendly the staff was - they were all super kind and enjoyable to chat with.

My Grandma was in town due to my Grandpa being airlifted to the hospital in critical condition; all other family lives states away. My Grandma was utterly exhausted and unfamiliar with the area so I booked her hotel. The front desk concierge was unbelievably helpful, he went above and beyond our expectations by ensuring my Grandma's check in was seamless, he helped her get to her room, and then he contacted me to reassure me she made it safely. He was a shining light to our terrible situation. Definitely made us forever patrons of their hotel!

We booked 2 nights at the Best Western North Phoenix through Expedia as there were incentives offered through our status. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay as I sustained injuries prior to our trip to Phoenix, which left me unable to use my legs. I was advised not to travel, and we therefore initiated the refund process. I spoke with an individual (Michelle), who advised that, so long as the refund process was initiated through Expedia 24 hours before the stay, we would be eligible for a full refund. Since I initiated the process on Wednesday night, and our stay wasn't until Friday, we were still within the refund window. I thanked Michelle and advised her that the refund process was initiated, and she confirmed that she saw my reservation on file. I was then contacted by Expedia support, who indicated that they lodged the refund request with Best Western North Phoenix, but added that the individual they spoke with stated that only an on-duty manager could approve the refund. Furthermore, an on-duty manager was not expected to be at the establishment until Friday. Here we were, over 36 hours before our stay, within the refund window, but unable to receive a 'sign-off' as the manager was not present at the establishment for more than 2 days. Now we've been denied a refund that I planned on using for my medical bills. A BBB complaint has been filed!

All staff members weren’t nice except for Chris at the front desk. I was supposed to check out at noon and confirmed that 2 days before with the front desk but when it came to checking out I was told by Chris that they can’t do the late check out and he had an attitude. I would’ve liked to know my check out was different sooner if that was the case.

I was planning to stay the night. But had a family emergency at the last minute and I was unable to stay the night. I asked if I switch it for the next night or another weekend. The hotel said no and would not work with me. So I was still charged the full amount.

What I did not like was that some rooms were still carpeted. I preferred the wood floor throughout. If I knew some rooms were still carpeted, I would have requested to change rooms.

Other Best Westerns have "down" in their pillows. No walk in shower for ADA accessible. Even though we did mention that before booking. Located in the most weird place behind other businesses and hotels.

What is not to like.

I was charged twice and the staff member checking us in had no idea what to do. He wasn’t very helpful or knowledgeable. The pool wasn’t open, the breakfast was very limited. Would not stay again.

We are not familiar with the area but thought we would stay here. The spa was extremely hot, they did not make my daughter's bed, Not enough towels for 3 people. It was me, my husband and daughter. Not enough blankets and pillows. The entire hotel seemed dirty. We where in the lounge area and two housekeepers where talking and eating their lunch where guest are supposed to be and they where talking in Spanish and cussing while eating. My daughter has taken Spanish in college so she translated to us. In other words they were too loud. What if there would have been children around?! Not ok!

The old property needs renovation

There weren't any dining options nearby. Used GrubHub to have food delivered. Again, when choosing a pet-friendly hotel, you don't always get the best rooms.

Was not given notice on website that there would be a $150. hold at time of check in by hotel. That would have been a difference in booking there.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful with questions we had about places to check out and the rooms was very clean and quiet for being just off the highway plus reasonable price for the 3 nights we stayed and also had great breakfast.

Great location and even though it’s next to the freeway, it was far enough from the noise and hidden from view. Very clean room and the bed was super comfortable! I had the pool to myself almost every morning!

The frontage roads going back and forth to restaurants are a little weird to navigate until you get the hang of it. We would stay here again.

This property and it's staff was fabulous! We have no complaints about it. We felt safe, even though the neighborhood was a bit run down with surrounding buildings having broken windows and buildings being demolished. There was quite a lot of pan-handlers on every corner.

Good property for a one night stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, even though I was only there for 8 hours. A big bonus was the continental breakfast, it had more options than I’ve ever seen. Definitely recommend this property. Some people said the neighborhood wasn’t safe, but I did not experience that at all.

Loved the king room layout! Cozy. Small breakfast room overrun by families but nice to have outdoor tables available. Pool looked inviting, hot tub did not. Area seemed safe but no dining near that I could see. Staff was nice.

Liked the counter space in the room with the extra sink and table. The bed was comfortable. Very clean room. The swimming pool looked good and workout room. The staff and breakfast was great. The only thing that didn't work right was the bathroom sink faucet. The water didn't flow out of the faucet very well and no hot water would come out of it. Also one of the room cards wouldn't let us in to the building and room. We had to go to the front desk to get another one from the staff. I would definitely stay here again. It was somewhat on the pricey side but it was the best we could find. We had to come for a family funeral so we didn't have the time to book the room too far in advance.

Everything was good just when we arrived the front desk didn’t seem as excited/cheerful unless she was in training which is understandable. The $150 to be put in hold for reassurance is outrageous. Aswell as someone who goes to sleep early and getting a call when your sleeping around 830/9ish and having someone asking me multiples times if I’m sure I don’t have a dog in my room when I never brought any animals and the lady that called is the same lady that was there when I had arrived. Someone said that there was a small dog coming from our room when there wasn’t any animals in our room that’s what the call was for.
