La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix Chandler

The staff was excellent especially the young woman who checked me in. She was very helpful. Even though I had to switch my room 3 times (because the furniture was frayed, or the electronics didn't work correctly or the bath tubs were pealing!) Also I found a used fork in the refrigerator in my first room. The light switch had a crack in it (be careful so you aren't charged for it) the toilet had like a stain that was kind of rough and wouldn't come off. The first rooms tub was also stained and the faucet kept dripping. After finally finding a halfway decent room, the tub was still stained. Two of the outlets didn't work, the remote didn't function properly and there may have been bed bugs! The staff did their best but they don't control the rooms and functions within them. Aria was helpful as well, welcoming kind and as helpful as she could be. The breakfast was a bit of a let down, no meat breakfast options if you don't eat pork. Also their eggs looked like a fried egg pancake? Overall I would try to find another hotel if you can! If not just be mindful and check the beds and sheets for bed bug marks! Again the staff (those two women specifically) made the stay there worth it!

Breakfast was good with no extra charge. Staff were very friendly! Beds did not feel like queen - more between twin and full. Bathroom toilet was somewhat not cleaned behind toiletseat. Elevator was worn and somewhat dirty I felt. Lobby and breakfast area wew bright and clean.

Not cleaning the rooms. It was not what I specting.

I loved the soft clean pillows to rest, ive been exhausted from driving a long time and working all day, this was a co fort to come too. I had to walk all the around fron the parking that was available to an opened door and couls t see well my way through the dark lit parking lot. It wasn't lit up at all.

The room keys were very sensitive to being near mobile phones or other cards, and I had to replace them several times because they stopped working and I could not open the door. The same issue also happened to two other guests.

Staff was excellent. The clothes closet! The door was on a hinge and slammed shut as you tried to access it and just needed a stopper. Without it, absurd effort to access the closet.

I was given 40 bucks on the next day's room rate. I guess thanks fair!??? I believe I shouldn't have to pay anything for Sunday! Money is tight right now in our country. La Quinta is conveniently located just off the I-10 freeway south of Ray Rd. Many restaurants and shopping centers are nearby, and it’s a short drive to the Phoenix airport. The hotel is staffed with the friendliest people who all make sure you’re completely satisfied and comfortable in your room. I especially like that the rooms open to inside hallways, making it feel safer than a lot of other hotels. They have a good selection to choose from in the breakfast area and it’s open from 6am to 9am. There’s also a small store behind the reception desk loaded with microwaveable foods, ice cream, snacks, and an assortment of items that you may have forgotten. There’s really nothing I don’t like about the property. The parking lot can get pretty crowded but there are still enough spaces for everyone. I’d also like to see better coffee available in the rooms.

Breakfast started to late to use

When using adjoining rooms, the door locks automatically when going into the other room. Why have a deadbolt on the door if it locks automatically ? Our entrance door security lock was in position. When we went into our adjoining room, the door locked. We could not get into our room from 10:45 pm to 11:50 pm waiting for someone to unlock it. Everything was in the room. The hotel should at least give a warning to guests.The desk peopld were verh kind as was the man who showed up to unlock it.

Coffee maker didn't work

Breakfast was about the worst I have ever had, food selection was poor, somethings not fresh. Not enough setting. The girl working the line could barely speak or under English and was not helpful. She didn't keep the line full of food items. I asked her for hot chocolate and she said over there, I told her it was empty and she walked away. Parking was plentiful and safe. Convince location.

The decor is inviting and the lobby was clean. The hallways and elevators were clean. Our room was freezing cold when we entered which let us know it worked! Lots of towels provided and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was tasty. The staff was very nice. It is located right off the highway next door to Cracker Barrel and a gas station with convenience store. Although their snack room was well stocked.

I enjoyed the pool, hot tub and lounging spaces on backside of property. It was a safe space no matter the time for a solo traveler to feel safe. Big rooms with all the stuff you need.

I called to let them know I was arriving late the person that was in the front counter was rude and wanted to get us in asap. The shower was missing pieces from the tub and the plumbing was coming apart had to sleep with a leak since I couldn’t turn it off. Pillows smelled like if someone slept there before and they just did the bef with the same sheets.

We had a clean room when arriving. Breakfast was a great amenity. Fresh waffles and eggs were great. Parking was spacious and plentiful. Staff was welcoming and kind. Only issue we had was entering building. The card reader wasn't working.

Room 302 did not have a deadbolt on the door and there were a few blemishes in the carpet. The above head cover in the elevator was missing. Those two things aside, the property is as advertised. The property has clean grounds and friendly staff.

Need to change breakfast menu, was the same daily. The eggs looked like they were a frozen patty. Rooms were clean but Cleaning staff needs to consider knocking or warning guests before they try to enter the room.

You can tell it’s an older property, but it’s well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly, pool is the perfect size and the hot tub was a huge plus. I would recommend the property updates their tv’s in each room, and also the phone in my room didn’t work (Room 221). I would stay here again.

Check-in and check-out were easy, the staff was friendly, the room was surprisingly big, and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was exactly what you’d expect from a hotel like this. Nothing life-changing, but enough to get the job done without writing your congressman. My only real issue was the AC. In Arizona, air conditioning is not a luxury. It is part of the peace treaty between humans and the sun. Something was off with it. It kept turning off and in the middle of the night it never came back on. That said, for an older hotel, it was a solid stay overall. Not fancy, not trying to be, but comfortable, convenient, and paired with a dangerously close Cracker Barrel. Hard to hate that.

I brought this to the front desk’s attention and asked if someone could come clean it. They said they would, but the issue clearly wasn’t resolved. Later that day, our daughter spilled some water on the floor, and when we wiped it up with a clean white towel, it turned black—showing just how dirty the floors still were. When I followed up, I spoke with the front desk manager, Chuck, who did not seem to take the issue seriously. He interrupted me multiple times while I was trying to explain the situation and ultimately hung up on me mid-sentence. This level of customer service was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. The pool was another letdown. It was so cold that our daughter refused to go in, which was disappointing since that was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Lastly, the continental breakfast was very underwhelming, with limited and unappealing options. Overall, this stay did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness or customer service, especially when traveling with a young child. I would not stay here again.

We have stayed here before and the property has definitely gone a bit downhill. We had a scary experience with another guest who was walking with FOUR dogs, leashed, coming towards us in a narrow hallway. One small dog lunged at my husband and the Rottweiler started towards him. The woman held on but barely. This could have been a disaster ending in a serious injury. We reported to the front desk and they were not aware that the guests had the dogs. My point here is there were NO security cameras anywhere on this property which seems very negligent. Last time we stayed there were questionable people hanging around the parking lot at night. If there were camera the staff would be able to see what goes on. I probably would not stay here again.

Tub/shower wouldn’t drain. Bought some snacks at their little store. They were 4 months expired. One bite was one bite too much. Room wasn’t attended to. Had to go ask for extra towels on the third day.

The only thing I can remember about my trip is that I scheduled an early check-in at 1 PM I got there at 1:10. He made me wait till 155 to check in and still charge me the $30.

First opinion of our room was YUCK! The chairs in the room were so dingy and nasty we wouldn’t even sit on them. They were lime green so they showed EVERYTHING and it made everything else feel nasty and dirty. Staff was eh and we didn’t eat the breakfast, but it was set up in the lobby and didn’t look like anything worth bragging about.

Cheap furniture and a broken bed. Suite couch was so gross I instantly pulled out sheets to cover it. First impression was a filthy elevator. Breakfast was the usual processed waffle mix and steamed egg pancakes. The staff was very helpful and responsive. The pool and spa was nice though. It’s pretty hard to find a reasonably priced hotel in the Awatukee area that’s not showing the wear and tear of people.

I had a great stay at La Quinta! The hotel was very clean, which made it easy to relax and feel comfortable. We were able to get a really good night’s rest, and the beds were super cozy. The area also felt very safe, which gave us peace of mind during our stay. Overall, a wonderful experience—I would definitely stay here again!

Front desk wasn’t as friendly no welcome or explanation of amenities. Short breakfast time, I had to read everything through signs on the property. I have never stayed at a hotel where housekeeper knocked on the door nearly three times 10:30, 10:50 and 11 then someone claimed front desk when it was a different worker. We did our best getting out on time and as we’re leaving the housekeeper cart was literally in front of our door which I found completely disrespectful. Will never stay here again.

More care to cleanliness is needed. The shower in our room was dirty. It’s never good when you find dirt and somebody else’s hair on the shower floor. The furniture in the room looked like it could fall apart.

Bed smelt weird so I checked out immediately and drove 4 hours home

The staff was great, however, our room was neglected. Carpet and furniture had a lot of pet hair and crumbs. The walls were dirty with splashes of "who knows what." The shower water does not get hot and the water pressure was just not there.

Also, my room wasn’t cleaned in the 3 days I was there.

We reserved a pet room. Checked in at 3 pm to get ground floor, desk clerk was great. Late in the evening when finally entering the room it stank of urine. I slept on the couch which REEKED of dog pee. Too ;ate to switch rooms. When mentioning to the desk clerk in the AM, he couldn't care less and gave us no satisfaction or indication that the mess would be cleaned up for next guest. We've stayed in several La Quintas pet rooms & never had this type of issue. Avoid pet room in this hotel.

Broken elevator and back door to the property. Not a big deal but I’d have felt better to have them both working. Back door was open to anyone who wanted to access it even the homeless looking lady!

When we arrived on Thanksgiving day, we were directed to enter at the back of the property where there was an elevator, because the elevator in the lobby was put of order. Despite that door having a sign stating that the it was locked 24 hours per day and a room key was requied to enter, the door was NOT locked at all. I made the front desk awate 3 different times over 3 days, and was told on Saturday morning that it "was on the maintenance man's list for that day". Nevertheless, the door was still NOT repaired when we returned that evening and it STILL wasn't repaired when we left today, on Monday 12 /1. I pointed out several times to the staff that this is a significant security concern, yet they demonstrated absolutely ZERO sense of urgency to fix the issue. In the event that anyone is assaulted, raped or murdered while the door is unlocked, this property will have absolutely NO defense against any subsequent litigation foe negligence.

However, the room was not nice. The bed was tilted, the where your head would be slightly lower than your body. The bathroom was old, the tub was cracked and the seal around the tub was broken. The chairs in my room had their covers cut on the corners with foam coming out. They did not clean my room once over the 3 nights I stayed there. Their breakfast options are very basic, and that was the main reason I chose this hotel over another. Disappointed, I would not stay here.

Very nice and clean inside hotel. Pool was also nice. My room was clean and the very heavy darkened curtains were appreciated. The biggest issue I had was the lack of bathroom privacy. Two swinging doors with no latch or trim to the door crack makes you feel like you are using a fancy public restroom.

The room had mold in the shower. I have pictures for proof. The bathtub shower only worked not the bathtub portion of it. It was stuck from calcium buildup. The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. They came Out with a bar snake hair gunk the window was cracked. The floor was dirty. Stayed at this hotel because I looked for one in Phoenix that had a hot tub hot tub didn’t work properly and was green color. I have pictures of all of this I would not recommend staying at this hotel and I would not recommend using an Expedia as they do not stand behind their product.

The staff was great at La Quinta by Wyndam Chandler but the building is rundown and did not represent the La Quinta brand well at all. The back door was unlocked, the elevator was scratched with graffiti, there were leaks in the ceiling in the hallway, all the doors to the rooms are chipped and scuffed up, there is obvious wear and tear to the overall interior, and the first room I was put in had a heavy dank smell. This is a corporate franchise and should be representative of the franchise. I’m sure this is not your first complaint. Do better.

The property itself was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful, no complaints there. But every single night our key cards would stop working, and we wouldn’t find out until we tried to get back into the building or our room. Then we’d have to walk all the way back to the front desk just to get them reactivated. It got pretty frustrating having to repeat that every night. If they could fix the key card issue, this would easily be a 4–5 star stay.

Overall, the property exterior was dirty and unkept. There were broken concrete curbs in parking spots. The exterior door at the north end didn't lock. The room was noisy next to the freeway. The bathroom toilet seat was gross.

Good breakfast, comfortable beds, spacious room. Good A/C. Room and carpet was very clean. Refrigerator was turned to coldest but was lukewarm. Bathroom sink drained very slow. We accessed our room from the rear entrance, the door is supposed to be secure using your room key, but the lock was broken, so anyone could come in the back, avoiding the front desk. This made me feel uneasy.

I did not know that the rooms were not cleaned daily. I was there Wednesday thru Saturday, and my room was not touched. It would have been nice to at least have the trash emptied daily and fresh towels without asking. Everyone was so kind. Those were my only thoughts on improving.

We loved our stay, the room and bed was very comfortable. It was easy access to the highway to get around and many good restaurants nearby. We wish the daily breakfast had a bit more variety, but otherwise, great place to stay while in the Phoenix area.

The rooms are really big

The building was nice and so were the employees. Our room was just okay. The bathroom had paint splatters on the floor and there was definite water damage in the bathroom. The carpet had some sticky spots near the window and the tv didn’t work when we first got there. But we figured it out on our own.

The property was very clean. Rooms are clean and large. Only complaint that I would have is that I had sent a request through Expedia to have a room away from noise and highway. My room was next to the freeway and you could hear the cars passing by. I am a light sleeper so I didn’t get much sleep due to the highway noise. Otherwise I would give my stay 5 stars.

Bed was great. Very quiet. Bathroom was terrible. Toilet seat was barely secured and it was used by a handicapped person. Refrigerator and microwave didn't work, neither did most of the plug-ins

Parking was close and lit well. Unfortunately a lot of people outside talking at night. Room was fine. Bathroom needs to have shower mildew stain remover treatment along with a new ring by the pipe. It is rusting .

My stay was a really quick overnight, so I did not have an opportunity to experience much of what the hotel has to offer. The room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable, and it was great to have a refrigerator in the room. The customer service was fantastic and friendly. Would stay again.

King size bed extremely comfortable, the room was larger than my other stays. My wife used the gym. She loved it. Staff were GREAT

The room wasn't clean at all, same as the bathroom. Breakfast, chaotic, dirty area and really unfriendly service from the lady in charge that morning, at least. We love to stay in La Quinta, but this location, I would doubt to stay here again. You've plenty of others hotels around. So, go for it.

Very nice and spacious room. Small flat screen TV. Lots of 110V plugs and usb plugs as well. Nice bathroom. Very limited amenities. Toilet water is very high in the bowl, so be careful that your hand doesn't "fall in" when wiping! Plentiful breakfast with sausage and eggs, as well as waffles. Very quiet, even though I was on the bottom floor. Cracker Barrel is 100 yards away. Easy access to the freeway.

- Clean rooms, bed and sheets. - Standard breakfast on time. Disliked: - The bathroom was older with cracked/leaky fixtures. - Our particular room had a faulty lock, it would only open after few attempts with the access card every time.

Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The pool opens at 9am which is unfortunate because I woould've enjoyed morning swims before heading out each day. Room service is every three days unless you request something else. Complementary breakfast was decent for a hotel.

The hot tub was out of order, every day we had to get our keys reprogrammed, the card readers on the doors did not always read, both elevators felt and sounded like they were about to quit

Tv could be bigger. Clean rooms. Could smell better. Nice to have a microwave in the room.

And when I checked in, the girl at the front desk asked me "so do you want it or not?'!! Very unprofessional. I will NEVER stay at a Quinta Inn again!!!!!!!!!

Overall pretty good but the front desk staff was not very helpful and was away from the desk a lot.

I have stayed at lower cost hotels that have been cleaner than this hotel , just know that they clean every third day, so if you stay 3 days your room won’t be cleaned until your last day, overall it was ok not the best not the worst

The tub was completely worn and stained beyond repair; it needed to be replaced! The drain was broken and would not drain! They should have never put anyone in this room until they replaced the tub!! We couldn't even shower with these conditions, it was terrible. We went down for breakfast at 8am and there was no coffee or cream, no hot water or milk for oatmeal and no more pancake batter! All that was available was a few eggs and sausage. When I asked the attendant about more coffee or breakfast items, she said there was not any more to be put out even though breakfast hours were 7am to 9am! I will not be staying or recommending this hotel again!

This fit our budget and all our needs

My only knock on the place was a leaking AC just outside my door that had the hallway carpet soaked.

It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast could've been better. Different breakfast eveyday would be better.

Pool ares was quiet gym was nice.

This is our second time staying here and we love it. Comfortable stay and conveniently close to everything. Will be staying here again.

1- key card entries is very bad it’s not working most of the time. 2- the shower needs to renovate ASAP because the water shower is going all of the places and you can’t control it and it needs ventilation in the bathroom too Other than that it’s not bad for the money that I paid.

We were very happy with the property and conditions inside and out. My only remark would be, invest in new bed pillows. Other than that, we loved it.

Nothing special- it was a place to stay, at a reasonable price. I expected a bit better, as most LaQuinta’s I have stayed at were more clean. Perhaps because it’s summer in the valley, they don’t do a good cleaning/fix things until closer to tourist season?

It was very quiet here. The room and pool were very clean. The breakfast was good with some good options. I enjoed my stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen staff at La Quinta rushed us to eat so they could clean. It was rude and unpleasant for it was our first time visiting Pheonix.

The rooms smell like animals and the sheets smell like pee. The shower floor is all rusted. The windows don’t have a tight seal so you hear traffic noise the whole time.

Staff was not out front when I arrived I had to say hello after 5 minutes for someone to come from the back. Our bathroom tub had hair in it. The soap they provided felt very drying. The cleaning lady came 5 minutes before 11 knocking on our door several times. Usually la quinta is my go to but I was a little disappointed.

Everything was wonderful regarding the bed comfort, condition of the room, the parking lot, lobby, and breakfast. Our only concern was that the shower floor was very slippery so that we felt unsafe.

Great staff, comfortable rooms.

The fire alarms were going off every 10 minutes starting at approximately 445 am and did not stop until a little after 6 am. They would not compensate me because I booked through Expedia and not directly through their website. When I arrived a man was at the front desk and he did not acknowledge me when I said hello to him. For 5 minutes he completely ignored me and then finally a female front desk agent came out and she was acting odd, like she was in trouble and was rushing me away from the desk.

Clean rooms, front desk very helpful, quiet, pet friendly and breakfast was good.

The staff was nice but our room was dirty the tub was rusty the floors were dirty. The gentleman at the counter was very nice but when asked about parking he said park in the front or on the side but I would not recommend the back. That alone made us uncomfortable from the start. We went to bed and left by 6:00am the next day.

When we first checked in, we had a couch in our room that smelled of dog urine really bad we ended up having to switch rooms. The second room was a little bit better, but it still had a weird smell. Other than that it was fine could definitely be cleaner, but the free breakfast was good.

Beds were itchy and bathroom was dirty then was told they would move us. Gentlemen I spoke with was very kind. However they didn’t have a room and when they did it was higher floors which unfortunately we couldn’t take. When told to reach out for a refund they’re now refusing to do so. Very disappointing.

It was good for the time spent

Everyone at hotel was nice and friendly, breakfast was great. Only bad thing was that the tub was clogged so when tried showering the water stayed, so that was gross. The rooms do not have courtesy bottled waters

Close to where we needed to be. Beds were not comfortable- pillows were so so. Water pressure was average. You could link netflix up to the tv which was cool so we didnt have to watch news. Blackout curtains kept it nice ans dark. Pool was unkept along with hot tub. Overly warm water. Breakfast was the same everyday sausage links and eggs. Breakfast lady was very rude and didnt want to be there. Syrup nozzle wasnt working so she told people lemme just move this so i dont have to keep hearing it. We always stay at La quintas but prob wouldnt be back to this location.

The staff was very friendly but it is an older hotel the hotel had a weird smell in the hallways and carpet. Rooms were clean the bed was comfortable. The pool and hot tub standard. The breakfast was not good sausage was not cooked enough but the cold selections were pretty good. Mini muffins were good.
