Dirty. Police everywhere all night

But the sheets, bathroom, AC, and mini-fridge were functional and clean; and it might be good enough if you just need a place to sleep for one night.

The staff is absolutely amazing and accommodating. Definitely will return! The door was hard to close. Had to slam it. Water pressure could be improved.

Friendly man at check in. Directed me to my room and told me where to park. Nice room. Comfortable mattress. Shower had excellent water pressure. A very nice overnight stay.

Looks like the last place you see before you loss your life. Scary vibe. Nasty room . Loud people staying. Up all night. If you got 30 more you can get somewhere else

Air conditioning did not work and there was a screen missing in my window but it was so stuffy in room that we had to leave windows open. There was also an odor in the room. On the bottom of my shower was something weird like paint or a nasty stain.

The Eastside hotel was not real clean and otherwise it was fine. Ice machine was down and our stay was just an our stay was just a so so experience.
- 1/5
Full sized acrylic dirty fingernails found on floor. Multiple. Melted ice cream under mattress been there for several months as far as I can tell. Room 102
- 4/5
The manager was straight with me and told me I’ve would probably not get a parking spot on Friday Saturday Sunday and that time of night and would need to pay for street parking so I cancelled the last few days of my reservation and found a place with more parking. Just something to be aware of.
- 4/5

- 5/5
This is a great little hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, friendly front desk staff, and a great location depending on what you are doing.
- 5/5
The ac was good. Didn't distract by clicking on and off. The elevator needs to be fixed. Ice machine. The 60 rate was the best deal in town. Located downtown
- 1/5
The ratings are an absolute lie. The place was an absolute dump. Can’t get any sleep. Walls are paper thin! Terrible

For The price point I guess it’s what I should have expected on some level but the room was in disrepair and dirty. The door handle was falling off and the key system barely worked.
- 5/5
Eastside Lodge was a great place to stay. Clean, helpful staff, and great bed.
- 5/5
Good stay. Would book again.
- 4/5
Affordable and clean. Local restaurants were easy to walk to.. There’s parking on sight.
- 2/5
Convenient location
- 4/5
staff was very nice, the office was open 24/7 and was very understanding about our cards that kept de magnetizing! was super close to our show we went to, and parking permit was free.
- 1/5
Checking into Eastside Lodge hours late due to severe staff delays was unacceptable. The room completely lacked functional AC, rendering it uninhabitable. To make matters worse, housekeeping aggressively knocked at 9:00 AM demanding I leave. The entire building and parking lot reeked of strong cigarette smoke and urine, presenting a severe health and safety hazard. This experience was a total failure of basic lodging standards. I demand an immediate, full refund for this unusable service.
- 4/5
Love the location, very reasonably priced, rooms are a good size and well maintained.
- 4/5
The person who helped me initially at check in gave me a large clean room with a king bed. It was a comfortable, clean and well located stay and the price was very reasonable. I would stay here again. Thank you. 🌷
- 3/5
Location was great I guess some rooms have been renovated but the first room I got had mold in the bathroom and the mattress had a whole in the middle and was very hard and uncomfortable made a lot of noice too also parking is first come first serve had to wait for someone to leave to get a parking or pay somewhere else
- 2/5
We could not get ourselves to sleep inside the bed because there were stains on the blanket. There were stains on the ceiling as well. The furniture was trashed and the customers I saw around the cars were very sketchy. The only positive point was the staff at the desk, super nice! But otherwise, this place needs a major revamp!
- 4/5
Lo malo, el parking es limitado al numero de habitaciones qué tienen La habitación tiene un poco de pinta de viejita/descuidada pero para pasar la noche esta bien. La malo que una de las camas con tantito qué te movieras rechinaba mucho

I went here for a place to stay and to park my car after a concert at moda center. It serves that purpose and it was cheap enough but the bed is what you would expect for a cheap hotel and it is on a main road so I woke up frequently from road noise and loud banging for some reason, I'm assuming it was the max or something. There was also some guy yelling all morning. None of that is the hotel's fault, just saying if you actually need rest it might not be the best choice but you can't beat that price or the free parking.

Great location! Beware that parking was first come first serve and the lot gets filled quickly. There was street parking not too far away however. Older hotel but great value and location.
- 5/5
Effective air conditioning, clean room and available parking. Thank you!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Location is perfect. Parking was tight but I was able to secure a spot while waiting to check in.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Room was hot upon entry (it was 90 degrees that day) but the A/C was in working condition and made the room comfortable. Clean bedding, towels. Necessary toiletries were present but kind of cheap shower soaps. Check in was easy but clerk kind of just went through the motions (it was late). Key card to door was finnicky and neighbor had same issues but mine mostly worked. I was worried it would be loud but was surpassingly quiet. Nothing special about this place but for the price and location I would stay here again. No complaints.
- 1/5
Advertise that parking is included. Get there and the you get there and it’s first come, first serve. Had to park on street and leave my 7 am. Totally ripped up chair cover. Got there, key did not work twice. Finally got in and room had not been cleaned. Had to switch rooms.
- 1/5
I do not recommend this place, because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same experience I had to endure.
- 2/5
Ice maker. An elevator were broke.Pictures on the website were misleading and were definitely edited by AI. Front desk was kind of a stiff not very friendly. But overall, I say 3 out of 5.
- 4/5
Clean room, convenient location, nice staff, and easy parking. We'll probably be back next time we're in town.
- 3/5
A great cheap option in a great location. It's simple and effective on a budget.
- 2/5
Not ask expected, won’t probably stay here again
- 2/5
Hotel was not as expected. Had to have key card re-granted several times. I’m not sure the place has ever been updated. There was a bullet hole in the glass door in the hallway leading to the outside right next to our room. Room was mostly clean with a slightly sticky floor and A/C worked so that was nice. Probably won’t ever stay here again though..
- 3/5
Misleading pictures
- 5/5
Nice place for a reasonable price
- 2/5
This is a run down motel. Weed smell in the rooms. Weak beds. Not enough room for parking. We had to park across the street.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Love this place, parking is free and available and close to explore
- 3/5
Not bad for the price. They really need to update the mattresses as you can feel the springs when laying down and one of the springs was sticking through the side of the mattress fabric. Also better shower heads would be helpful.
- 2/5
Let’s start with the good: the price was actually pretty great. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place to crash, this checks that box without blinking. Now… about that “crash.” You might not be doing much sleeping. The club in the parking lot basically turns the whole place into a front-row seat for a concert you didn’t buy tickets to. Bass thumping, people coming and going, and parking? Let’s just say it felt more like a competitive sport than a guaranteed amenity. Inside the room, we tried to wind down with some TV… but the TV had other plans and simply didn’t work. At that point, we just accepted that the universe wanted us to fully commit to the live entertainment outside. All in all, if you’re on a tight budget and don’t mind a little chaos, Eastside Lodge might be your scene. If you’re hoping for quiet, parking, and a working TV… you may want to keep scrolling.
- 4/5
Could use shower mats.. Thats all
- 3/5
Great value
- 1/5
Nothing how it looked don’t go here I thought I was gonna get trafficked and had to leave to a different hotel in the middle of the night. Really bad vibes and nothing like it’s described. Very trashy
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff member was very friendly.Parking was easy too.
- 3/5
No ac in room. Outdated. No elevator. Shower was horrid. Staff was cool tho early check in for no cost
- 3/5
Room was pretty clean, it was good for the price. No funny smells like lots of cheap hotels. Parking lots too small if you arrive late you’ll have to park on city streets
- 1/5
The double sold the room I paid for online then arrive leave and refused to acknowledge what they’d done or help me with a new one
- 5/5
This is my third time staying here.Easy, convenient to get around free parking. And the staff is really nice.Would love to have a coffee maker in the room , though.
- 5/5
Easy stay, just what I needed.
- 1/5
Air conditioner didn’t work ice machine was broke elevator was broke I think the only thing the hotel had going for it was its location but I’ll never stay there again. I’d rather spend the extra lil cash for a nicer stay
- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice staff. Thanks!

- 5/5
It’s was clean and everything was perfect for my stay and the price was a great value
- 5/5
Everyone and thing was as expected . No disappointments
- 1/5
If you are really desperate for a cheap stay it’s there but wouldn’t recommend. Hotel room was half painted , loose screws and just awful.
- 4/5
Ants in the bathroom
- 3/5
Convenient location and price.
- 3/5
Our first night was interrupted by a loud party in one of the rooms at 3:30 am. Our second night was a bit spoiled by a really heavy snorer in the room next door - impossible to predict I know. The lodge does not have a pool. That was not a requirement for us - but a couple of glasses in the bathroom would have been helpful.
- 5/5
Great location, great value, clean and friendly.
- 5/5
Nice peeps!
- 5/5
The guy at the check in desk was perfectly kind, the coffee we had when we were leaving in the morning was okay.
- 4/5
Room was very basic, with minimal amenities, but clean and comfortable for a night stay! Parking lot is well lit and felt safe. Great price and nice stay.
- 1/5
It was brutal.
- 3/5
Staff was cordial, but the condition of this old building and the noisy area around it were detracting.
- 4/5
Shops nearby, terrible and restricted internet. I couldn’t even leave comments online with the internet.
- 5/5
Great stay all around
- 1/5
The front desk woman that worked Thursday night (March 5) was incredibly rude. Will not stay again.
- 2/5
It may cost a lot of money to replace worn chairs and chipped countertops, but make sure the hair is wiped off the wall and smile when people check in.
- 4/5
I really enjoyed staying here and I will stay again. The staff is awesome, and the room was better than I expected.
- 2/5
Things are mostly fine, except that the AC unit in the room wasn't functional and it was probably around 85 degrees in there. Not an exaggeration, it was probably around 85 degrees.
- 5/5
The staff was nice and attentive. Got checked in and out quickly and easily. The noise did travel a bit much from the parking lot but it didn’t bother me too bad. I had a good stay.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
The front desk attendants were courteous and professional. My room was clean, well supplied and quiet.
- 5/5
always a deal staying here! I would 100% recommend
- 5/5
Good value, very adequate room, good price, great location, great desk staff
- 4/5
The room was clean but needed some cosmetic repairs and upgraded decor. didn't have a working Ice machine, or vending machines. few rooms rented but people are stacked up in groups so very noisy coming from rooms on both sides till after 11:30 pm. centrally located to amenities and close to Moda Ctr and Rose Quarter.
- 4/5
We stayed there on Valentines Day. There was quite a bit of street noise, and the walls are thin. If you are a light sleeper, you should definitely bring your earplugs and noise machine.
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
Room was clean, conveniently located. Would love in room coffee, but otherwise a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
- 3/5
Towel hangers in bathroom were not well secured to wall, barely hanging on. Paint chipping off walls. Chairs heavily worn. Unnecessary light fixtures cluttering room that provide very poor light.
- 5/5
Everything was good room was clean staff was super nice
- 4/5
Room was clean. Bed was comfy.
- 4/5
If the door of the room is outside in the middle of Portland, there should be a chain or latch lock inside the door. I am a woman traveling alone.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and helpful! Room was perfect for a night stay.
- 5/5
For only staying one night overall I’m really happy with my stay here. I will be coming back for sure if I’m ever in Portland again. I’m only giving it four stars because once I got into my room. There were cigarette burn holes in the curtains. The leather on the office chair was cracked and ripped from a lot of use and should’ve been replaced there was no hairdryer in the bathroom and the shower was stained very bad. I don’t know from what but they should really get that cleaned and there were paint, cracks and chips all in the walls. The good part of staying there it was very quiet very easy to check in the staff was very friendly. We were able to park easily and we were walking distance from the venue we wanted to go to that night overall, I would be back again for a one night stay this is probably somewhere I wouldn’t stay for a couple of nights. But if you need somewhere quick for a one night stay, I would definitely stay here. They are right by other hotels and this lodge is very reasonable in price.
- 4/5
The room was clean and it was an easy check in. Plenty of parking available with a spot right in front of my room. The location is very convenient for nightlife.
- 1/5
I originally asked for 2 beds, for 2 couples the first night.
- 5/5
Great location, easy check in and out and friendly staff. The room is decent. Nothing fancy but clean. A decent affordable option for its location.
- 5/5
Clean room. Early check-in was no problem. Easy free parking in the lot. Great hotel for a short business trip.
- 5/5
Rooms are always clean, no strong scents, heat and AC both work well, lots of very hot water.
- 4/5
This is an older hotel, but housekeeping is amazing. The location is great with food and entertainment within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. Being an older structure, it was a bit noisy both in the mornings and late at night. The price was reasonable. We stayed 5 nights.
- 2/5
Eastside is our go to hotel. We have always checked in w/malea
- 4/5
Room was clean. Beds comfortable.
- 3/5
I’ll make sure if we stay again that I check in earlier to get a newer room.
- 1/5
I have stayed here several times in the past and no real issues. However, this weekend was definitely different and has made it to where I don’t know how comfortable I feel staying at this location again. We had several issues with our key cards at the very beginning where they worked and then did not intermittently, and each time were assured that there was no problem after getting back from a show we came back and were unable to get into our room at all, and neither was the only staff member on premise, who did not seem to know how to proceed. After waiting for several hours and still not being able to get into our room while we waited outside, we got an Uber to try and find places that were still open so that we could kill time and ask that they notify us when the locks are fixed. We were trying to be very reasonable. Around 5 AM finally getting a voicemail saying that everything is fine and our tours are unlocked. So we came back to the hotel and sure enough our door was not only unlocked, but left open with all of our belongings inside. Fortunately, it does not look like any of our things were taken, at least as far as we could tell, but very unnerving to say the least. The lock still did not work by the time we left and checked out, and despite being able to get practically no sleep as we were locked out of our own room for most of the night, and couldn’t even go anywhere because my car keys were locked in the room. And they just didn’t even seem very apologetic.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful.
- 3/5
Room condition was not so good,
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
We've stayed here a few times now, and the staff is always been very friendly, the rooms are nothing spectacular but usually they're clean. Left a star off this time because there was a used bar of soap in the shower caddy, which clearly hadn't been cleaned for a bit. Everything else was fine.
- 2/5
Place smelt pretty bad. Run down. Things broken. Staff short.
- 4/5
Was good spot for my Confrence needs.
- 4/5
Very clean room! And the staff were very helpful when I left my keycard in the hotel room.
- 4/5
Cannot beat the location. Free parking and good service!
- 5/5
great location, good room for the price!
- 3/5
Shower door had black mold all around the bottom.
- 2/5
Got a room with two queen beds. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, with stains on the comforter. Hair from people before us all over the bathroom. Had to listen to the people above us having sex all night, banging on the ceiling, making it difficult to sleep, beyond the terrible beds in our room. Was very disappointed in this stay. Will probably book a room elsewhere, next time that I visit Portland.
- 3/5
This place is rougher around the edges than they lead you to believe.
- 5/5
Room was comfortable nice bed and front desk person very nice
- 5/5
Love it. Next to a great restaurants and fun coffee shops. Centrally located to places I want to go in Portland.
- 2/5
The furniture was worn and in some places torn. The bed was serviceable. One bedside table and the TV cabinet both had some odd oily film in areas on them, I ended up placing a towel on the nightstand to cover it. At least the water was hot enough for s short shower. I could hear every squeak from the bed above me.
- 4/5
The only thing was the Wifi was a bit sketchy and seemed to cut out a bit when using my phone. But nothing bad to not stay there. It is a good location and affordable for my Portland stays when visiting family. We will stay again for sure!
- 5/5
Always clean, easy to check in
- 5/5
There are cool restaurants and bars nearby, but the best so far is the hospitality that I received at the check-in from Memo! Warm welcome and very helpful when I had questions
- 2/5
Front Desk customer service in the evening was excellent. Elevator and ice machines were not working. I was offered a room on the second floor, but I did choose the third. The room could’ve used another vacuuming. The bathroom shower could use a deep cleaning. The beds could use updating.
- 3/5
This would be a perfectly fine budget option but the broken elevator and one small jug of coffee for the entire place isn’t great. The stairs are a killer to get to the top floor with luggage. You really need to get the elevator repaired or let people know in advance that it is out of action.
- 3/5
It's good if you don't plan on spending a ton of time in your room. It's got the basic amenities, a decent bed that is clean and the fridge and microwave are nice to have. I really enjoyed having a vanity space to get ready in without having to stand in the bathroom or sit at a desk with terrible lighting. The room was very clean, but there is definitely some damage to the room. The toilet paper holder was loose and a pain to try and use, there is water damage and possibly mold on the ceiling in bathroom. The shower door does not fully seal so there is water everywhere after a shower. The shower is also very small, was difficult to wash body and shave. The external property was clean and nice and the staff were all so kind and friendly. Parking was easy to use and we never had a hard time finding parking. The area is walkable and accessible and close by to restaurants, bars and entertainment. For the price, you really can't find much better in Portland and it's a good central location
- 5/5
Great option for the price. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Great pizza place nearby. Comfy beds.
- 2/5
Room was not cleaned before. Socks from other guests on the floor, there was hair on the pillow and an eyelash on the ac
- 4/5
Close to everything, really great staff.
- 2/5
Room was stale, smelled of smoke and dirty. Stains on headboard, lamps, shower. Hair in shower and sink. Staff was pleasant and quick.
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
friendly staff and easily accessible to things around the city
- 5/5
The staff is always nice. The rooms are a little rundown but clean. Its a nice walkable area
- 5/5
The stay was perfect for what I need it for .
- 4/5
The hotel is on a busy street and you can occasionally hear trains at night.
- 5/5
Nice for a motel. Great location, stafg is extremely helpful
- 5/5
It
- 4/5
Not Club Med but nice room. Comfy bed and quiet area. Walkable to a number of nice restaurants and such. Staff were friendly and attentive.
- 1/5
There was lowd noise all night. Stomping around and traffic.
- 5/5
The room was clean and good size My ceiling looked dirty though, had stains Would book again
- 3/5
Mostly clean, bed was pretty comfortable, area was good, the room was a little worse for wear in a few spots. Great Thai food across the street in the Union Jack parking lot. Staff could have been a little more welcoming/helpful in my opinion.
- 4/5
Great value. The addition of coffee making facilities in the room would be a big plus
- 5/5
Always a comfortable bed and super quiet. I stay here pretty much every time I am in Portland!
- 5/5
Great location and clean.
- 2/5
You get what you pay. It was cheap and had free parking and wifi for a work trip. The property has seen some wear and upkeep isnt the best. I thought about changing hotels once I arrived and saw what it was and the neighborhood.
- 4/5
They were helpful and friendly. Check-in was efficient, the room was clean. There wasn’t enough parking spots available for the amount of guests and the stairwell was difficult to get luggage up and down. Still would recommend for a short stay in Portland
- 3/5
We were unsure of the area. I felt like it should drive and not walk. Once we headed down the street I felt the area was safe.
- 5/5
The place isn’t going to blow you away but it’s a great place to rest your head for a night or two. It’s super close to many cool things.
- 5/5
good
- 3/5
Just ok
- 3/5
Meh. I used to really like staying at the Eastside Lodge — as it was a clean, no-frills alternative to the Jupiter hotel or other small, reasonably priced hotels in Portland. However, this time — in spite of the fresh coat of paint on the exterior (which looks nice :)) — well, it’d be more appreciated if the owners spent a little money freshening up the “inside”, too? Get rid of the old, gross carpets in the rooms. Just have tile — that’s what everyone does now. Refurbish the old furniture with something solid and without a plastic, shabby veneer. Get rid of the cushy chairs that just feel hard to clean and keep clean. Same with the drapes. Oh, and the outlets? All are wobbly and old. One bedside lamp didn’t even work. (p.s. also, remember to give people back their photo ID — if I hadn’t brought my passport, I would’ve been really screwed at the airport that next morning !!)
- 3/5
The room was nice, but extreemly uncomfortable to sleep in .
- 2/5
The staff was fine. The room was pretty gross: had a mildewy smell, the shower floor was slimy and discolored - I had to wash my feet again after I got out of the shower, the bathroom fixtures had grime on them, some of the furniture was made out of MDF and was delaminating, the beds were very uncomfortable - hard and noisy/springy. The only thing this place has going for it is that it's cheap and parking is free.
- 4/5
I have mixed feelings about this property: on one hand, everything in
- 5/5
It's nice and quiet. Like the neighborhood around.
- 3/5
the bathroom door can't lock. The carpet connection tooth was not well hidden and it poked us multiple times if we accident step on it. We booked 2 nights and the key didn't work after 1st night. The room odor was strong so we had to open our window whenever we were in the room. I can't imagine to stay here during winter because of the odor.
- 4/5
We normally stay here on our visits to Portland due to the great location. Super fast check-in!
- 1/5
.
- 5/5
The staff was nice and it’s very conveniently located.
- 4/5
Great location and worked well for our trip.
- 4/5
Great area, not a bad place for what you pay for. The elevator was down but after eating all the good food Portland has, I guess a little stair climbing didn’t hurt. The air conditioner was the real champ of this place. We happen to be in Portland during a triple digit heatwave, the a/c was perfect and never gave up. The area is great and is very walkable. I recommend checking out revolution hall rooftop bar for great views, which is about a 10 minute walk.
- 5/5
I loved the gentleman at the front desk. He said he works a lot on Sundays but was covering. He was accommodating and friendly. Loved him. Wish I knew his name. Thank you.
- 3/5
Clean - BUT ! Nicely photoshopped pictures so this place looks “upgraded.” Well it’s maybe a bus stop past a motel six - mutton all dressed up as lamb.
- 2/5
Check in went fine. The room itself wasnt great. Pillow had a yellowed stain, curtain had a hole in it, chips and cracks in the paint, corners of furniture broken. The back of the desk chair was worn and the metal was a little sharp underneath. There was no door on the "closet". The bathroom door doesnt shut all the way and doesnt even have a lock. The front door only had a handle lock and no additional security. Covered the peep hole with a plastic disk so you couldn't even look out. Noise was a little louder than I would have wa ted, but its next to a busy street on a Friday. Walls are super thin though.
- 3/5
close to places to eat & drink, free parking lot was safe. staff kind. coffee in lobby, ice machine. rooms are just really old, thick paint, floors need replacing, beds are rock hard. street noise but you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
They do say that parking is free but based on availability. When we came back after a concert at the Moda center the parking lot was full, but on the street parking was easy to find. The front desk people were efficient and pleasant. My one caveat is that the rooms are wicked small. My kids and I all said that we would all stay here again! Great value for the price!
- 2/5
Poor AC, room is hot. We were at the 3rd floor but the elevator has no service.
- 5/5
Cute, clean, friendly
- 5/5
Checked in around 11pm to find no available parking spaces due to them being sold out. Talked to the guy at the desk and he said that there wasn’t a second parking lot, but that it would be okay for us to park overnight in front of the lobby. He was super friendly and I appreciated his flexibility with the parking situation as it was late and we didn’t want to find parking in an unknown city after a day of driving. The room was clean, had convenient outlets, and bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
I could hop right on the beach and use the pool and hot tub with some adult hours. Fires on the beach were great!

Second time staying here. Its alway easy to get around.
- 2/5
Other issues included the elevator was broken, the room smelled musty, the internet had bizarre age restrictions (didn’t allow movies with swearing), and the shower was clogged with old hair.
- 3/5
Great area but the motel is outdated and things were falling apart.
- 2/5
The only good things about this place were the location and the gentlemen who checked us in. The room was stuffy and smelled like stale cigarettes. The bed was clean but incredibly uncomfortable, we could hear the springs 'pinging' as we moved around. The toilet had obviously not been cleaned (at least not well) because there was something stuck to the seat that I scraped off with tissue. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if I could have a couple of the Lysol wipes that I saw behind the counter so I could clean the toilet myself. He was very kind and patient (I don't remember his name), but that was literally the only good thing about this place. A major remodel is necessary if I'm ever going to stay here again. For over $100 I feel like a clean toilet and comfortable bed isn't too much to ask.

Good price, clean and comfy. Bathroom a bit dated. Close to Moda center.
- 3/5
Room was ok, but housekeeping was almost non-existent. Didn't make bed on day one and second day didn't even bother servicing the room.
- 3/5
Nothing fancy. Elevator was out of order. Clean enough if you just need someplace to stay.
- 4/5
For the price, it’s not bad. The rooms are what they are. The location is great, with lots of cool shops and restaurants nearby, and it’s about a 30-minute walk to downtown. The bed was comfortable. It could have been cleaner, but if you’re just looking for a place to sleep that’s inexpensive and aren’t expecting anything fancy, this is the place. It is a bit loud, so I’d recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Would I stay here again? Maybe. The only reviews I’d say are true are the ones about the key card stopping working.
- 4/5
A spare, but comfortable place to stay. Charmingly rough around the edges. Staff is friendly and helpful

This is the nearest lodging with included parking we could find for visiting our father at OHSU Hospital. It is clean and the beds are comfortable! All we needed for much needed restful nights!
- 5/5
Easy access to everything. And the best part is there is parking! The Jupiter is the same expectations, but has no parking. Being a local and having stayed at both places, this is the best bang for your buck. On my mudda!
- 4/5
The sheets were old and threadbare, and our key-cards didn’t work half the time and had to be reissued, but otherwise the place was excellent!
- 1/5
When I said I needed to report the situation and take a video, the staff took away our keycard and claimed we had checked out, refusing to let us stay overnight. This happened around 9 PM, leaving us without a place to sleep. I called your customer support line and was told to report the issue on the platform. This experience was misleading, unsafe, and extremely distressing. I’m requesting a full refund, an investigation into the listing, and review of the property to prevent future incidents.

I was a little nervous to stay here at first but we had a great night around the area! Room was small but cozy & the shower was amazing!
- 5/5
The staff very friendly. The desck cllerk checking me in went above and beyond.
- 4/5
Easy to get to and close to so many things! You definitely get what you pay for but it was perfect for us for two nights! Parking is first come first serve though, and we had a hard time our second night finding it. But otherwise, great stay!
- 4/5
The hotel was at capacity, so parking spots were tough to come by. But the staff was helpful in allowing makeshift spots to park overnight in. As mentioned, the rooms are dated but get the job done. When I sat on the edge of the bed, it sunk really deep, but when I actually laid on it closer to the middle, it was comfortable. The shower is cramped and there is nowhere to put the soap because the metal holders are gross. It would be nice if they installed triangular shelves in the far corner. The A/C worked well as it was hotter than usual during my stay. Pro tip: go get Thai from the food cart in the parking lot across the street. It's delicious!
- 2/5
You get what you pay for….less than personable clerk, super soft bed, and an old, old buidling
- 4/5
Pretty good property overall especially for a last-minute stay would stay again thank you
- 4/5
Room was clean and spacious. The air conditioning was reasonably quiet and the room newly renovated, save for the desk chair whose seat was badly worn. The refrigerator worked and operated quietly. The only problem was that both the bed and pillows were too firm for me. I sleep on my side so I like a medium firm bed and pillows. This was like sleeping on a cushioned floor mat. Not terrible, but not great. They should add a pillow top extension to the beds and offer a selection of pillows that include softer pillows. Then this would be a perfect spot.
- 3/5
We liked that there are plenty of parking spaces in the area and close to everything in the city. The room is spacious. What we didn’t like is the keys doesn’t seem to work that we still have to have to go to the lobby to have them fixed everyday. Also, there were loud disturbing noises from the other room we heard one night. The room has a distinct bad smell the moment you walk in. The staff that checked us in wasn’t very welcoming, he made a comment and thought we were under 18.
- 5/5
Location is great! Only downside is, we were onthe 3rd floor and the elevator is not working :-(.
- 4/5
Older property but well maintained. Friendly staff. Great neighborhood.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The parking at the hotel was full, so I had to find street parking a few blocks away. When I went to my car after the first night, I found that someone had deposited a stack of spoiled donuts on the hood of the car. Not sure why. I removed the donuts and drove off. Next morning, no donuts.
- 4/5
Found it to be very nice accommodation for the money. Great location with several good food options in walking distance. Would stay here again
- 5/5
Every interaction i had with staff was top notch. Im not from the area so i dont know if it is really unsafe but there was a definite sketchiness to the surroundings. That said i had no issues with anything or anyone in my 4 day stay. Great cenral location too.
- 4/5
Great for a quick overnight or two. Centrally located.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. No frills yet has the essentials and is comfortable. It feels safe and the area nearby is vibrant.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and helpful in all the interactions I had with them. It was several because my key stopped working a couple times. The property is clean but needs a lot of maintenance.
- 4/5
It was everything we needed without any frills. Great staff.
- 5/5
Good location and great bang for your buck. Clean and comfortable. Elevator was broken, so going up 2 floors was a little bit of a hassle with all of our bags, but not a deal breaker.
- 5/5
Convenient. Great place to stay. Microwave and mini fridge in the room was nice to have.
- 4/5
It met our needs for a quick overnight stay,
- 5/5
Great location. Nice clean room

I always stay here on my visits to Portland. Price is reasonable compared to other hotels near the city. Never had any problems. Sometimes the other guests can be noisy in the adjoining rooms but that’s what earplugs are for.
- 3/5
Not bad.
- 3/5
Could hear people talking in a normal voice in the next room, lack of insulation or soundproofing. Free parking on the plus side
- 1/5
I found bugs in 2 different rooms. 1 was alive crawling on the bed. And in the next room there was a dead bug on the bed.
- 5/5
We were in town for a festival, and all the places closer were so expensive. I figured for the good price, this place would either be in a bad neighborhood or not very nice. I was wrong about both, and so pleasantly surprised! The room was simple and exactly what we needed. They gave us a list of walkable restaurants in the area. We parked in the lot, which was helpful during the show. We easily walked to the venue and back afterwards. Everything was clean. I'd definitely stay there again!
- 4/5
Room exceeded our expectations at the rate. My only major complaint would be parking. If im paying for a room. I shouldn't have to pay to park across the street
- 5/5
For the price this was exactly what we needed to park our car and sleep. Nothing fancy but clean. Bed was comfortable (bring earplugs for thin walls). Front desk person was efficient and friendly.
- 1/5
We were expecting the no-frills motel experience, considering the price. The room was clean-ish, with a strong cleaning product scent that did not dispel. The room was not fully lit, the ceiling had a poorly patched up crack. So, nothing amazing, but we didn't see any bugs and the staff seemed friendly enough. If not for the extremely loud night club, we would've probably toughed it out for the full three nights.
- 4/5
The bed was comfortable, the free parking was nice, and it was quiet when we went between Monday-Thursday. Again for the price it was much better than a motel 6 or anything like that. We would come back and stay.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, easy parking, clean rooms. Just what we needed for a quick overnight stay.
- 1/5
It was in a horrible area with a dirty strip club on the same property. You could hear everything through the walls like the couple having adult relations all night. It was a horrible experience and wont be back
- 4/5
Good walkable central location. Dated motel that has been very well maintained/upgraded. Great stay.
- 2/5
The person that checked us in was nice and helpful. The first room we checked into reeked of cigarette smoke then we got put into another room and there was mold in the shower, fingerprints above the bedframe, half of the lights not working and the ones that did let out an egregious noise and there was hair in the bathroom. Top it off the elevator was not working but to be fair they said it just happened. There was also a decent amount of noise around 12 in the morning coming from surrounding area. Had struggles with the keypad and had to get a new card one time which was very inconvenient especially at 10:30 at night. The ceiling seemed unsafe as it looked like it was caving in. Again the front desk people were good solid people.
- 4/5
Walking distance to lots of bars s and restaurants. Quiet and clean. Parking was great. Nothing fancy but we would stay here again.
- 4/5
The Eastside Lodge is a basic motel ideally situated in the center of Portland and very reasonably priced. The location and price make up for the average decor and comfort of the room. Not a romantic place, but a convenient one to go explore the city, on foot (it's easy to find bars, restaurants, etc. just a few minutes away) or by car. And parking is free, which is a great asset.
- 3/5
The elevator broke down in the middle of the night and we had to take the stairs . Also had the firefighters come in to get us out of the elevator which broke down. The staff helped facilitate but they appeared to be shortstaffed . Definitely not anyone’s fault, but speaks to the property needing a little bit more upkeep and maintenance. The parking though free, is not guaranteed. People who know about the free parking but not necessarily patrons , randomly park here which may lead to lack of spots if you come late on a weekend( we were here on Friday night). The staff did inform us about the same so we were able to wait till someone left their spot. It’s also a little noisy but we’re not light sleepers so didn’t have an issue with that. But someone who may be a light sleeper maybe disturbed by the noise from other patrons or just general Portland downtown

2nd stay at property. Got a ground floor room. with a small shower.
- 3/5
There was nothing particularly amazing or wrong with the property. It was just ordinary, nothing special. Very pricey for ordinary.
- 5/5
Very nice, well located
- 5/5
My daughter and I were there for a concert at the Moda Center. I was afraid of coming back to the hotel late. It was well lit and people were dining and walking at night. There's is a list of food places that are within walking distance to the hotel that helped us explore other food options and walk.
