Reviews
The hotel is praised for its modern, clean, and stylish rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and great location with proximity to restaurants, bars, and entertainment. However, some guests have complained about noise from surrounding nightclubs and other rooms, lack of privacy in the bathroom, and issues with parking.

Whenever we’re in Portland, Jupiter NEXT is an absolute must! We love hanging out at Hey Love lounge and restaurant inside the hotel—the vibes are always amazing, and the rooms are super cute, comfortable and cozy.

We had a large picture window in our room and it made the space feel comfortable The bathroom could have used a proper wall. The glass was a bit weird for us, as I was staying with my son. We would have liked more privacy in that department.

Great location, comfortable bed and a super cool drink/snack assortment in the room (for a fee). Recommend!

We had some stress with the hotel paid parking. We paid for the outdoor parking lot. On our second night, when we returned to the hotel, the lot was full. We had to call the hotel, and the staff had to come out to let us into another parking lot by removing a pillar on the driveway. When we had to leave the next morning, we had to alert staff in order to leave, because the pillar needed to be removed so we can drive out, That took longer than expected because, according to the staff, the security guard left for the day without leaving the lock combination with the staff, so she could not unlock the pillar and move it.

Surprisingly nice in the neighborhood but very centrally located
- 5/5
Very kind and friendly front desk - I got to town late and was having trouble finding parking and getting in to the hotel and the lady was kind enough to prepare my keys early upon verification so I could get in and get some sleep. Also the location is AMAZING. Loud but that should be expected in this part of town.

No bueno
- 4/5
Across the river from downtown location wise- parking was unique; but great option to park in a safe location. I can imagine the hotel lot gets full since it's a small in their adjacent property and first come first serve. Room was clean, but toilet had urine on it - likely just not wiped well during a quick clean.

Bed bug bites yuck!!!!😬

Big comfy bed. Clean. Great views. Great shower. Good location. Parking can be a bit rough unless you want to use a paid lot or valet but free street parking CAN be had.

The beds were comfy, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean. It's just that the room was very basic, definitely no frills. Also, I got charged $20.00 a night for a "destination fee" whatever that is.

Clean, friendly staff, good location to where I needed to be. Also proximity to riverfront. Well maintained.

The Jupiter Next was a great place to stay. I was in Portland for a week and I felt like I was in a much more expensive hotel. The room was super comfortable and spacious. I got upgraded to a nicer room on a higher floor with a view. My complaints are so minor...the room should have a few drawers for storage and the morning coffee is subpar and weak. The location is also great. Near great restaurants like Canard and Kann and so easy to get around the city.

Great location and loved the hotel bar. Property and room was very clean and staff was friendly. Good value. The bathroom has absolutely no privacy. Not only is the door a slider but the walls of the bathroom are basically see-through. Not to mention there isn’t a fan or anything to drown out sounds.

Wonderful place. Favorite hotel in Portland
- 5/5
Literally the best. I'll be back.
- 3/5
The room was clean and generally comfortable, but the amount of noise was insane. Between the fans that you couldn’t turn off to the vibrations from units on the roof to the thin windows that allow every bit of traffic noise in, it was quite difficult to sleep. If you’re looking for quiet, go somewhere else!
- 5/5
Hotel location was convenient and the bar was great.
- 5/5
My room on the fifth floor had a great view, and the room was very clean, modern and pleasant. I also loved the open air patios, and the lobby restaurant was a great place to have a drink and relax.
- 5/5
Definitely recommend this spot for people traveling to Portland. Cute room, great staff, good location.

The staff all very nice.

Amazing hotel. Great vibe. Great location. Walkable.
- 5/5
Parking was crazy but oh well
- 3/5
Very average room; therefore, very overpriced.
- 5/5
Great room. Stylish. Super comfy bed. Loved the area for coffee shops and easy access to lunch. The view of the spinning Franz bread on the bread factory was the cherry on top.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious, lovely shower and bedding. Really enjoyed dining at "Hey Love!"
- 5/5
Cool hotel in a walkable area of the city. Only a short bus ride to the downtown core. Hotel was very nice and the staff clearly cared about the hotel and its guests.

- 4/5
The add-ons from she bop to the room were unique and very downtown Portland

Great
- 5/5
Parking was a little expensive, but it's underground and safe, which I feel is needed in a neighborhood that lacks street parking.
- 5/5
The team was kind, attentive, and helpful. If we have to be in town for work or personal trips, this is our go-to spot!
- 5/5
Stayed 4 nights for a business trip. Overall, a great experience. The staff were super helpful when I had questions and the room was perfect for my needs. The hotel bar has excellent food and drinks and a wonderful vibe. The hotel itself is within walking distance of many lovely shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
I moved away from Portland many years ago but it's still my hometown. Whenever I visit, I stay at Jupiter NEXT because I get exceptional service, superior comfort, & great views of my favorite city.
- 3/5
The room was simple but nice and the hotel was clean but there was a club across the street that blared incredibly loud music until around 1am every night.
- 5/5
Super!!
- 5/5
Nice style hotel.
- 3/5
The room was clean, beds were very comfortable. The team were friendly and helpful. We stayed with 2 younger kids and only for 1 night so it didn’t bother us but had we stayed longer we would’ve preferred a larger room. Our room was on level 3 (I think 2 floors above the hotel bar) and we could hear the music until 3am.. this was on a Friday night though so maybe this is not usually the case on a week day.
- 4/5
Great location , funky vibe . Room was nice with a good view
- 5/5
The view of the city was great. And outdoor patio.
- 5/5
It’s the crew that make it. Front desk is kind and on pointe
- 3/5
Everything was great except that the ventilation system was loud.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable bed and nice bathroom! Super close to food options. Trendy And modern
- 4/5
The lounge spot
- 5/5
Enjoyed the vibe of the hotel and Hey Love restaurant on the ground floor. We enjoyed the friendly service, clean rooms and comfortable beds, and great proximity to the Portland destinations we were there to see! We’d choose it again!
- 5/5
Walking distance to our concert and dinner. Would go again
- 5/5
Favorite place to stay in Portland
- 5/5
I loved the porches which provided amazing views of the city.
- 5/5
While there wasn't a proper "room service", the menu at the hotel bar was such a good mix of options & easy to pick up downstairs. We loved every part of our stay.
- 2/5
Despite searching on Expedia for hotels with complinentary breakfast and secure parking, this place had neither when I checked in at 6pm. The gentleman checking me in noted breakfast is not an option and parking spaces were gone by the time I arrived (first-come basis). Tip: Call the hotel to confirm details and make the reservation.
- 5/5
Great location, wonderful restaurant downstairs, close to lots of venues.
- 5/5
Great hotel with a nice bar. Such a fun girls’ night stay:-)
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
Really friendly front desk, great date hotel. Glass-enclosed shower. Mini fridge full of drinks (extra cost). Wine and other drinks available at front desk (extra cost). Nice outdoor patio area and lots of great restaurants nearby.
- 1/5
The USB ports did not work in the room. A dog was barking at midnight in the hall. Across the street was a loud bar and music that you could hear in the rooms. It was not a great experience. The bathrooms are made of opaque glass so the light shines into the room when someone is trying to sleep.
- 5/5
Clean. Modern. Efficient. Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Liked how it was modern and new. Staff was friendly, just wish the parking situation was a little better.
- 5/5
Everything was great except the parking. It wasn't clear we needed to reserve and purchase that when I made the reservation.
- 5/5
Had a great stay overall!
- 5/5
Cool spot to stay in Portland with great bar in the lobby. Excellent cocktails!
- 4/5
Great hotel, surrounding area is dirty and has seen better days
- 5/5
This property felt fresh, new and hip. The onsite bar and restaurant was very convenient. The room was spacious and we had a nice view of downtown Portland. Coffee was available in the lobby and I would have preferred to make it in my room. Also the decaf coffiee option was a personal sized drip which was messy and slow. Would have preferred a Nesspresso or an urn like the regular people received.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Cute/hip but trying too hard. Nice shared upstairs outdoor/patio areas. Morning coffee and nice mugs to drink it in were a nice perk. Housekeeping staff helped me bring mine back to my room :) Bathrooms too minimalist - over the top. Glass wall between bathroom and rest of the room, not great for privacy. Room very cramped for a family of 4. Because they seem to be catering to hip Gen Z crowd in every way, I wouldn’t consider it family-friendly.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Cool space in a neighborhood with lots of dining and bar options close by.
- 4/5
The hotel was very clean, staff was great, and dealt with said questionable individuals in a quick but respectful manner. Staff was also great as our flight was super delayed and we got in at 2 or 3 am instead of our planned 1130 and we had no issues checking in. The bathroom situation was a little weird. The lack of any type of kitchen equipment was pretty inconvenient, they did not have a microwave to reheat leftovers, and mini fridge was completely full with alcohol you’d be charged for. The area around the hotel had questionable individuals pretty but that was pretty consistent no matter where we were in the city.
- 5/5
Great customer service and you don’t even have to leave the hotel to have a great time and great food!
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
beautiful hotel, but loud at night. Street racing and the dj make for lack of sleep even with their comfortable bed. Parking is limited and if you check in late is not an option. Front staff was short and curse. Definitely don’t ask for next day parking or your room to be cleaned before their designated times otherwise they will go off.
- 5/5
Clean, super friendly staff, and comfy room
- 5/5
The staff was great and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only complain we had was the metal chair in the room. There were only 2 chairs in the room and the metal chair was so uncomfortable for the sitting area and the back. The other chair was worn out too. Both chairs need to be replaced. Other than that, Jupiter Next was a great hotel nice and clean and comfortable. I would recommend and great staff.
- 3/5
Hotel was ok. Clean a little funky but hey its Portland
- 5/5
The bathroom sink being outside of the bathroom itself was odd, but overall not a bad time
- 5/5
Room was quiet, super clean and beds were very comfortable. We parked in the gravel lot and it was an easy and affordable option. Bar is great with a nice cocktail list and menu. Location is excellent. Overall very nice hotel and we would definitely stay there again. I will say one particular woman working the desk at check in was cold and dismissive. She seemed aggravated by having to interact with guests. The gentleman at check out was great though and servers in the bar were very helpful and polite.
- 5/5
great place, lovely staff, cool spot
- 4/5
We stayed at the Jupiter Next on a visit to Portland for a concert at Revolution Hall. Everything was great except it is in a “party” area of the City of Portland. Had a couple yelling and screaming at eachother in the next room in the middle of the night. The hotel sent security and it calmed down, but the area of town is lively all night long.
- 5/5
NEXT felt like a modern, safe oasis in the urban jungle that Portland can feel like to myself as an outsider. We walked the surrounding neighborhood for coffee and eats with comfort in our hearts knowing we would soon be returning to the safe haven of our room at Jupiter NEXT. The bar, Hey Love, was also an exceptional experience and we enjoyed our time there.
- 5/5
We love this place. Stay here every time we are in Portland.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Hey Love is pretty and great cocktails and DJ. Only issue was explaining the umm interesting items in the vending machine to my tween kids. 😳
- 5/5
Super friendly staff; great lobby, room, and views; neighborhood has excellent dining choices; walking around the neighborhood at night could be uncomfortable for some.
- 5/5
It was very nice! Thank you
- 5/5
Incredibly cool room set-up! I loved the LONG countertop with the sink in the bedroom area. I could leave out all my make-up, hair and shower essentials without it looking cluttered. Comfy bed with a great black-and-white photo collage of quintessential Portland spots on the wall in back of it. Nice big window, too. Can't wait for a return stay!
- 5/5
We were only there one night but would gladly have stayed longer. Clean and new, with a really comfortable bed. There were lots of great restaurant options close by, but the attached restaurant was good enough to keep us in house, with really interesting food and drink options. Easy check in and check out, and convenient parking options. An all around great stay!
- 5/5
Great place and location. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant Hey Love great for drinks and fresh light brunch food.
- 3/5
Also, you have to go to the lobby for coffee in the morning. No coffee maler in the room which is BASIC. The hotel says it does this to "foster community," but no one even looks anyone in the eye because we all need coffee first before we can even think about socializing with strangers. Also, the room was cold regardless of how much i tried to adjust the thermostat. This hotel is not nearly as cool as it thinks it is.
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Loved this property!
- 4/5
As a single woman traveler, it is not an entirely safe area.
- 5/5
Great stay, large room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Fun, hip, clean hotel that really cares about their guests experience. Appreciate the staff and how they help improve your stay in whatever way they can, from advice on what to do or eat in town to amenities and housekeeping extras.
- 5/5
The only thing I didn’t like is that there was not a coffee pot or microwave in my room, but otherwise great property!
- 5/5
The floors have access to outdoor patios that are covered for smoking or lounging which was nice! Heads up the showers are glass walls that look into the room so make sure whoever you go with you two are comfortable seeing each other’s naked silhouette or leave the room or turn around while showers are happening. No way to cover the glass for privacy. The hotel and location was cute, chic, hip and had a great night life. Would stay here again just as a couple though not a business or family trip type of stay.
- 5/5
Very nice, modern, comfortable room with a fantastic view of the city. Loved the bar in the lobby as well - very cool vibe!
- 5/5
Great location! We parked and walked everywhere the whole weekend, which was nice. We really enjoyed our room, and loved that Hey Love was just downstairs. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend to others.
- 5/5
Great location, very close to bars and good restaurant options nearby that are walking distance.
- 5/5
It’s in a great location - near trendy restaurants
- 5/5
From check in to check out we knew we had chosen a special property. This isn't like all other hotels, its a special experience. the lobby bar is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and quiet. the beds were super comfortable. We will definitely be choosing Jupter NEXT for any future portland visits!
- 4/5
When doors to other rooms slam shut, it is very audible from your own. Disruptive at night, especially when trying to sleep.
- 4/5
Loved the property and concept. Please get better bath towels.
- 5/5
I frequently stay there for work trips. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Great lounge and restaurant.
- 5/5
The best place in Portland. Beautiful, great service and wonderful atmosphere.
- 5/5
The modern and clean rooms with a city view, staff is amazing
- 5/5
Great hotel. Staff was amazing and very accommodating, room was clean, newer and modern. Very fun, hip vibe. Restaurant downstairs was great and the lounge offered coffee and tea all day, with nice seating areas. Good location to easily access all the best spots in Portland. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside was that the mattress wasn’t as firm as I would’ve liked, but that’s pretty minor when everything else was absolute perfection.
- 3/5
Too loud for the price. Everything else was acceptable.
- 5/5
Nice job on the design and amenities. The Hey Love bar is good.
- 4/5
We loved the view from our room! The staff were helpful and kind. There was no coffee available in the room. My understanding is that coffee machines are a nuisance as they break and need to be replaced. So as this inconvenience to the hotel is passed to the customer I suggest that you bring a thermos for the complimentary coffee in the lobby.
- 5/5
Easy to check in/out, close to my destinations, friendly staff, on-site restaurant/bar.
- 5/5
Had an amazing time at this hotel! The rooms are so cute and modern, very clean. The Restaurant Hey Love is the absolute best- would go here even if I wasn’t staying at the hotel for the fun vibe, excellent food and delicious drinks. A great stay all around!
- 5/5
Great spot, close to so much fun and food. The bar in the lobby was amazing, with great drinks and the best nachos I've ever had. Will definitely be staying again.
