Clean room. Missing a coffee service but otherwise no problems.

I booked his place because reviews said it was clean. To be fair I think it was clean but the room smelled so bad like a wet dog. It didn’t feel clean. All of the furniture was beat up pretty bad. For the price it was an ok place and the front desk guy was great

Not the best but also not the worst. It was clean mostly but the tv and remote were not working too well. I was just tired just needed a place to crash with a shower for a decent price and it worked.

The staff was amazingly helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The beds and bed covers plus blankets were wonderful. The room heating controls provided a comfortable temperature. And the bathroom towels were positively luxurious. At initial booking the stated room rate was quite high, but we accepted it because of location - proximity to the Kaiser Hospital. Upon check-in, the room rate was much lower and more in line with our expectations. There is street noise all night long because of the public transit train. There are very few restaurant options nearby. However, we drove several blocks north and found a New Seasons grocery store where we purchased excellent prepared, ready to eat food for purchase.

The proximity to the medical facilities I was visiting for. There was no hot water. Let it run for 10 min and it was very barely lukewarm. Heat in room was slow to warm up but once warm was hard to regulate at a comfortable level.

Couldn't check in, nobody in the office. Rang bell for 30 minutes, honked horn, called phone-no answ

Room clean, obvious remodeling going on.
- 1.5/5
It was cheap There was dried cum EVERYWHERE, and also a boot print and dark splatter on the CEILING
- 4/5
The staff was so great! We were running a little late and rooms were getting booked up. The staff kindly called us and confirmed the type of room we wanted so that it wouldn't get taken. Everyone was friendly and helpful when we requested additional blankets. The inn is walking distance from EEM Thai which was highly recommended to us! Room was clean. Plenty of parking space for our big car. Only downside was some of our neighbors were loud and the walls didn't block out the noise.

Check in was great the attendant was very kind and helpful but.. Our room had dry blood splatter on the cealing, comforters had cigarette holes and it smelled like pee. Pillows were nice and beds comfortable. We will not be coming back to this hotel.
- 2/5
For a cheap stay the motel served its purpose. The bedding was outdated and although it wasn't, I couldn't help shake the feeling that it felt sticky. I needed somewhere last minute and it served its purpose. If you understand what you're getting, it was cheap and open.
- 4/5
Room was very clean, and the front desk service was very kind and accommodating. I would only feel comfortable staying solo, as opposed to having my family stay. Another guest adjacent to my room was yelling and cursing all night, possibly on drugs of some kind, and the surrounding night-life was questionable. However, for the price and quality of the room my solo experience was fine.

The frond desk fella was a nice dude and did a great job in hospitality.
- 5/5
Such a great little spot!
- 5/5
Stayed a few days, and like always was happy I chose the Economy Inn.

Such a good place to stay :)

Good spot
- 5/5
It was pretty straightforward. Room was clean everything was as to be expected for the price.
- 5/5
For the price, this was honestly nicer than I thought. The bed was actually super comfy, no bugs. the bathroom was clean, and the heater worked well. The tv timed out from some parental control thing my second night but I switched to my device so it was fine. If you’re new to Portland, there are sketchy people everywhere, and you can’t avoid it. However this place is minimal and is in a nice neighborhood. Across the street is a great place called the alibi that anyone would love (not an ad I promise). There’s a nice neighborhood to walk and a green patch behind the building. The cleaning lady is nice, as are the hosts. The only suggestion I have is finding a way to utilize a digital pay option for the washer and dryer, or a change machine. Awesome to have one though! I’ll be returning for sure.

- 5/5
Very clean rooms, nice staff!
- 4/5
Very kind owner who takes pride in his property
- 4/5
Alibi is across the street
- 4/5
It was a very quiet area not a lot of walkable food options. The chairs needed a deep cleaning or need to be replaced. But overall, decent for the price.
- 5/5
Easy to work with, thanks!
- 3/5
The Man at check in was very friendly. The Outside of the motel was a little run down, but the rooms were surprisingly nice.
- 3/5
fair
- 1/5
We never got a hold of anyone and had to find other lodging.
- 2/5
Staff was nice. Older place with some rough spots (no ice machine) but sheets were clean, AC worked, water wasnhot, and it was quiet. But neighborhood and other clientele were sketchy. 2A recommended.
- 3/5
No frills place to stay. The area around isn’t great but felt safe.
- 5/5
Friendly staff great location.
- 2/5
There was trash in the room still and it smelled like a burnt ash tray in the room even though they had no smoking signs everywhere.
- 4/5
old need more maintenance try to find water bottle by walking distance no bottle water
- 3/5
property is clean, just a little bit noisy cuz it’s close train railway and pub house
- 4/5
Great location and great service. It’s so frustrating for a business when people don’t act correctly and honestly they should have to pay for my stay. My neighbors kept having fights slamming doors etc. It it was any other time I’d have gone to management about it. Otherwise it was good.
- 4/5
The staff is very accommodating
- 4/5
Off street Parking
- 3/5
Location was great. Safety for my self, my guest and my vehicle was a concern. Was informed by manager that it was a non-smoking facility yet upon entering the room it was very apparent that the previous tenant had not adhered to this policy. The wall in the bathroom had what appeared to be dried mucous. There was long hair in the drain of the shower.
- 5/5
Relaxing Was Needed,Got It!
- 5/5
Its cheap and clean.
- 4/5
The staff is very helpful and friendly, A !
- 4/5
Forgot how much nicer this place is versus the other interstate motels are
- 4/5
Quiet
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean, and the owner stays on topof maintenance and customer needs. Yellow line Max is 5 minute walk, The Alibi tiki bar is across the street, cannabis dispensary next door and a Plaid Pantry is next to the Max line. No complaints here, will be back soon.
- 5/5
Can be a little loud from the railroad behind the inn and the MAX line running outside, but it's calm and only a 10 minute walk via Failing st. to Mississippi ave. with lots of eateries and bars. Very close to transit lines for a car-free visit.
- 2/5
hotel did not have my reservation but was accommodating to getting me a room. room was nice and clean except the bedding has some light stains.
- 5/5
Clearly the owner takes an amount of pride in what he does and takes good care of the property, not the friendliest but that's understandable in a city like Portland.
- 4/5
Otherwise was pretty good! Neighborhood seems a tiny bit shady, and other guests were loud at night. But neither of those things are the fault of the hotel. Two pretty good bars right across the street as well! Fqirly close to a max station.
- 5/5
The motel was a great value and we really liked our room. Parking was free, Moda Center and MAX were only a short distance away.
- 4/5
This was a basic hotel room, but very clean with a remarkably comfortable bed. If you don’t need frills, it’s perfect, and at literally half the price of “fancier” hotels (especially when all the taxes and fees are tacked on). We’ll be back the next time we stay in Portland.
- 5/5
The staff are professional and polite. The rooms are clean quiet spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5
Even though it was right next to the light rail ,i still slept like a baby ,thank god for sleeping pills, nice soft bed😊
- 3/5
It was an alright motel for the price. It was right across the street from a really cool Tiki bar which was a huge plus. And it was about a 10-15 min walk from another street that had a bunch of restaurants and bars in a nice area and that was really cool. A couple things about the room though that were not the greatest. When I started to run the water for the shower, it was a brown color. Wouldn't go away unless I turned it off and then back on again to cold water and then rotate to hot. This was super weird. The bathtub/shower is really cramped. You will likely hit your elbows on the wall while washing. The toilet was awkwardly close to the wall in front of it. If you are a tall or overweight person, it's highly unlikely you will not fit. If you bend forward you hit your head on the wall. It so cramped and strange. Also the outlet in the desk I had did not work.
- 5/5
Looks old and run down from the outside but the rooms are nice and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great attendants, room was nice and clean. My stay was great and I plan on staying here next time I come through pdx
- 4/5
Portland has some issues that there is no escaping. We chose to stay in this motel because of its proximity to The Alibi tiki bar over the road. For a one night stay, the motel was perfect. Clean and comfortable bed with a good shower/bath. The guy who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. We'd stay here again if we found ourselves in Portland.
- 4/5
Nice room for a good price
- 5/5
There are definitely some cosmetic issues but they don’t effect my comfort so I’m totally ok with anything that doesn’t directly impact my comfort or safety
- 4/5
This was a clean room in an inexpensive hotel. The staff was friendly and nothing was broken. Would stay again.
- 3/5
This is definitely an economy hotel. You will find nothing extra here, not even an ice machine. There is, however, a mini fridge in the room which was a nice find. The bathroom was recently updated, but still pretty dingy and unclean. The floor made a weird creak/pop whenever I would walk near the bed, or sit on the edge. My card was charged for the deposit, and I had to call in to have it reimbursed. That was less than desirable to say the least. This was a cheap stay, but I will be willing to spend more to have a comfortable place to sleep next time I go to Portland.
- 4/5
No in room coffee or any available in lobby.
- 3/5
Location isn't great as it's right across the street from a popular bar so there is constant laughter and chatter from the parking lot of customers lingering and/or smoking. The toiletries and towels were surprisingly good, although there were no washcloths provided. And even with earplugs, I was awakened at 245am buy a loud guy yelling about how he's a vet and the current government sucks... not sure if he was a drunk guest or an unhoused person.
- 4/5
Front desk gave a call prior to check in, maybe because we were coming in late for check in from out of town..not sure. The place was clean, chair in room was heavily stained, bathroom is small but the tiny tub was so cute. Room had an odd odor but manageable. All in all hotel was great for the price, would book again for a one night stay!
- 4/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms, was perfect for our 1 night stay.
- 1/5
The property was in need of update, but the room was sub par at best. no hair dryer,no wash cloths. no coffee, no drinking cups or extra toilet paper. shower was rv sized. window had been replaced but blood drops on ceiling above it. bed was clean, manager was pleasant but over all will not stay again.
- 4/5
No frills hotel, but definitely worth the price. The first room we went to was smoky, but the front desk guy immediately made it right and took us to another room. No issues after that.
- 4/5
Stayed here many times now. Always a pleasant experience.
- 1/5
Place was gross
- 4/5
Staff and other tenants were nice. Room was clean. Nice affordable place
- 5/5
This place is my new place on the other side of the mountain! The room was fantastic! Very friendly front desk! Super cute bathtub😊I love it!
- 3/5
However, it was really affordable and no hidden fees like some of the other nearby hotels.
- 5/5
I have stayed here several times and would return again. This is a completely no frills inn but you get more than you pay for. Clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable with kind and friendly service. For the price I have found nothing better in such a great location. I highly recommend, but please don't take all the rooms....save one for me:)
- 2/5
My room was advertised as having a mini fridge. When I got there this wasn’t the case. I had to throw away $30 worth of groceries
- 5/5
Wonderful host, great room! Would recommend to anyone who needs a nice clean room to stay at. :)
- 5/5
The propert is old but the managment keeps the rooms clean. The hotel is also located near Winco,Costco and a Super Walmart-My room had a stove and sink -All in all a good stay for a very good price
- 3/5
It was very clean and the bathroom as well. The check in was easy, quick and the front desk person was fairly nice. What i didnt like was the tiny tube in room 219.. Not sure if its like that in all the rooms......Otherwise i give the hotel 4.0!!
- 5/5
This is a really nice hotel. The place is very clean and modern. Obviously it has been completely remodeled recently because it is an older facility. The staff is friendly. I had only planned one night there but security stay longer because it was such a nice place.
- 4/5
For budget lodging my room was clean and I felt safe. Relatively easy access to Portland and Vancouver
- 2/5
Property was clean but front desk too me not to smoke weed and said they recognized my from “ the last time I stayed” although I had never stayed at the hotel before and I’m visiting from Cali! I was offended because it was obviously misjudgment because of my race. He even mentioned he had mistaken because of my braids but I never heard an apology until the next morning. I appreciated the apology and also the late checkout that I was granted. I’m no longer offended but he should be aware that comments like that are wrong.
- 4/5
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Parking limited at capacity, but street parking was available and safe. Friendly folks in charge. No unnecessary city problems in this area. Would stay again.
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed, pleasant service, minimal parking. Perfect for those who just need a bed and shower.
- 3/5
The location of this motel is great. It is located right by the tram station that takes you to downtown Portland in few minutes. There are also restaurants and breweries within walking distance. The motel was recently renovated and the bathroom was modern and super clean . The sheets were super clean as well . The price is also very reasonable given the location. The problem was the smell when you walked in. The carpet smelled like a kitty liter which is unfortunate, because everything else , including staff is great.
- 5/5
Great place. Very nice owner - great location - enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Great location to moda center. Clean nice room. Will stay here again. Couple nice restsurants in area especially pinkys for pizza
- 4/5
The stay was great. The rooms were clean. There was no outlet in the bathroom, so you had to go into the main room to dry your hair. Still, for the value you cannot beat the deal. I would do it again.
- 4/5
this hotel is perfect for just a quick nights stay. front desk was very helpful. its located on the Max line for easy travel.
- 4/5
We found old sock in our room it was clean beside that but it was sad to find that
- 4/5
Mattress was not comfortable. Rest was good.
- 4/5
It was a good place to stay. Nothing fancy but clean and good location.
- 4/5
Great location near the MAX train, which made it really easy to get downtown. The room was overall quite clean and nice, within the budget motel range. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again for sure.
- 5/5
Love the cotton sheets, don't sleep on anything else at home, great to find them here. Place was CLEAN and very up to date, only fault was the lousy cable choices, really couldn't you afford to include Netflix other than all those Pay-to-view crappy options?
- 4/5
Clean, comfy bed, tiny bathroom, sattelite and reliable wifi.
- 1/5
Good Location. No unpleasant smells in room. However, sheets were obviously not washed. Tv and shower were malfunctioning. Obvious that few, if any, professionals were involved in maintenance of rooms.
- 4/5
A basic room at a good price and everything worked. An updated bathroom was nice along with a location close to a light rail station & public transportation. A short walk to Mississippi Ave. restaurants and vibrant atmosphere.
- 4/5
Worth the price paid! Cleanly maintained. Will chose again!
- 4/5
It’s old. Owners did a good job updating the tiny bathroom. Things were clean but the smell was horrible. Also this establishment allows smoking and smokes travels upward. Just disappointing to breathe in someone else’s smoke.
- 5/5
Loved how affordable it is. It can be kind of loud with trucks driving by but it worth it for the price and how conviently located it is! Super close to a max station that can get you pretty much anywhere.
- 4/5
Clean place with friendly staff
- 5/5
The space of the room and the quality of the shower
- 3/5
The room and amenities were good. The outside of the building was a bit rundown. But overall we had a good stay.
- 3/5
I was very happy to have a microwave and a mini fridge. I did not like hearing my neighbors having relations nor did i like the big hole in the floor that felt like they just put a thin layer of plywood and then carpet over it. It felt like i was going to fall through the floor if i came close to the area.
- 3/5
I woke up at 4AM to the sound of the people next door having a conversation, the walls are that thin. The people then got locked out and proceed to POUND on the door at 4:30AM trying to wake someone else in the room. It was ridiculous. Other than that, it was fine. Parking lot is small but room was spacious and checking in and out was easy.
