Lots of cool community events, it's clear this hostel isn't just a place for travelers but is also deeply embedded in the local community. Also great food at the cafe. And the secret garden was a really nice place to hang out and felt calm and private even during events where the main part of the hostel was packed.

I like the location. Walkable to Washington Park Trader Joe’s and 23rd Avenue. I like how clean and quiet it was! The coffee shop downstairs is a perk as well! Nothing

The cafe was excellent! Great salad and comfy atmosphere. Loved all the separate spaces to hang out. Felt very inviting and relaxing.

Staff were so nice and helpful, they had plenty of free and low cost events, great location

Overall, it was a very good experience people. The staff was excellent. The place was more than acceptable. Unfortunately, my car got broken into while I was staying there. They crashed out my window and stole stuff. Obviously that’s not the fault of the hostile, but it does reflect the location.

Coffee shop was very nice and gave a really good vibe to do work. Staff was friendly and gave many recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Had an open mic night and was super fun and had some amazing singers with a great vibe to drink wine and hangout. Be extremely aware of the parking situation. Mine and 3 other peoples cars got broken into within one night. I had $2000 worth of stuff stolen from my car and due to lack of secure parking other than the roadside parking they offer for $10 which is what we had purchased. Along with that, there were no cameras outside the hostel that pointed to the roads where they offered parking so we couldn't get a suspect on the break in.

- Staff were really great. Nice, chill, helpful. - Free luggage storage! Love it. A really nice system they have allowing limited access to facilities for those who are too early to check in but still acknowledged as a guest. - 24/7 common areas open to work / study were really convenient and clean. - Lockers were placed between the bunk bed sets, which was nice for lower-bunk privacy (so there's a make-shift wall between you and the next lower bunk bed) - The one restroom I used was spacious, containing sink, toilet, and shower. It seemed that was the structure, at least on my floor. It was very clean and comfortable to use. They're listed as "shared bathrooms," but they're really one-person-use at a time, so it just feels really comfortable, as long as everyone cleans up after themselves. I don't think there was any shampoo / conditioner though? Just soap (but nice soap haha). I stayed in a 4-person dorm bunk bed situation, but myself and one other person were the only ones booked for the room. So that was nice! Lockers were spacious inside the room, at least for my carry-on luggage size + bag. >> The room was slightly small though, so I wonder how it would be if the room was fully booked. But for the size of everything, I really liked their facilities. The cafe was also really nice. I think they've done really well with the space they have. I didnt really use the kitchen area that much, such as the fridge or any of that side's communal space so I can't speak on that.

I loved the amenities, the safety and quietness of the space. The staff were kind, helpful and I felt welcomed throughout! I was swept away with all the good eats in the hostel's cafe and in the neighborhoods nearby that I did not take advantage of the kitchen which was spacious and I could see it had all the things one would need to cook well. It was unseasonally warm and another fan may have kept the temp down a bit more on the 2nd floor. I sleep cool so may choose a downstairs room next time just in case.
