Room location was great. Very good breakfast. Friendly evening staff. Morning staff was just there didn't seem to want to interact. Like to sleep to the light of the TV, but TV would not stay on. There was a clicking and tapping sound from the refrigerator that kept us awake.

nothing Room smelled terrible and the toilet didn’t flush and the walls had old dried boogers on them. The shower won’t stop dripping either

Room was really nice. Great Breakfast I still haven’t received my bill or the deposit refund they hold when you check in
- 5/5
Very clean, beds were firm. The halls did not stink like some halls. We did not eat the breakfast but it looked delicious and fresh. Good location. Within 20 min of checking out they called questioning me about a pillow. Saying the housekeeper entered the room and there was a missing pillow and that there should have been 8 pillows. I explained there was actually 9 total with 4 on each bed and 1 on the pull out when I arrived and when I left. This was very unusual and I have never experienced this.

Thank you Natalie and the staff! We had a grand 3 days. Clean rooms, delicious and simple breakfast, and although located on a busy road, it was surprisingly quiet and the whole family slept great!

The property manager went out of his way to get me a bottle of water. Breakfast was excellent. The staff: courteous and professional. I’ll see you in about 2 weeks 😊
- 5/5
Natile was great from start to finish! FYI if your a light sleeper. You probably should ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. The traffic noise on the front side is very loud. Breakfast was cool. Room was clean. Staff friendly.
- 4/5
I feel like they can do Better on the breakfast but overall it was nice and clean
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff from the front desk to housekeeping was excellent and air conditioning was extremely cold. I would definitely stay at thus location again. Not to mention the breakfast was outstanding.
- 2/5
Let’s start with the good. The staff at this property was great … kind, attentive, responsive and helpful. However, the bathroom in our room was disgusting. There was hair (not ours) on the floor, counter, sink and tub, and there were stains all over the shower walls. The cleanliness level was unacceptable.
- 4/5
The room was tidy but there were a few incomplete projects in the bathroom. However it did not affect my stay. The breakfast had a variety and was well stocked. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and constantly restocking. Check-in and check-out were simple and fast.
- 5/5
Ava at the front desk was great! We forgot our air pods in the room when we checked out and she called me to let me know they had them!
- 5/5
The entire property was well maintained and very clean, it did not smell musty like many properties smell, it was very clean. Breakfast was a home run ! It was fresh, hot, and god variety. It was great to see a property staff present to monitor the meal.
- 5/5
This is my second weekend staying at the New Bern Ave location and everything was made easy to access clean rooms great hospitality and the manger has made sure I was comfortable. The staff always shows courtesy and have been nice and informative. I cant say more about the breakfast taste great and hot food is hot and cold food is cold. I’m on my way to the heated pool!!!!!
- 3/5
In our first room the electric motor that operates the window shade and the desk lamp were not working. We requested to be moved to another room. In our second room, the floor lamp had one bulb missing and the second bulb filickered. Staff was courteous. Not a bad stay but not a great one either.
- 5/5
Hotel smelled amazing when you walk in. Front desk staff Genesis was very helpful, professional and friendly. Room was very clean. The whole hotel was clean. My husband and I even used the Gym and that was clean also. 10/10
- 5/5
Yes, 120% anytime I encounter a staff member of the hotel, always asked me if I needed anything. Definitely I’ll recommend it to everyone else
- 4/5
YES. THE STAFF WAS VERY POLITE, FRIENDLY, AND HELFUL.
- 3/5
The room was cold. Decorated very oddly and was overpriced for what you got
- 4/5
Everyone was nice
- 5/5
They were on top of everything 🙌🙌👌👌👍👍
- 5/5
Breakfast was fresh and hot and the room was clean and the bed very comfortable.
- 3/5
I would stay here again! Ladies in front desk really nice and helpful, room was clean, pool is nice maintenance guy was nice too! Only thing I did not like at all was the lady serving breakfast and I know I was not the only one, she was very RUDE with bad Attitude, if you are providing a service job and you are having a bad day, im sorry but you have to be respectful either way. I hope she changes her attitude. Only reason I give 3 stars.
- 4/5
It was decent, staff was pleasant. Affordable and clean.
- 5/5
Very nice rooms, and a great staff. The breakfast was a lot better than expected. They have a wide variety of breakfast food, and really great coffee. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Easy check in, clean room. Blinds are NOT easy to work, did not adequately block out light.
- 3/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Quiet. However, parking was a mess when I got back that night. There were 2 buses taking up several spaces in the already small lot. When I returned, there were no spaces left for single vehicle guests. The buses should have parked outside of the lot.
- 4/5

- 3/5
The room was okay, but the bathroom wasn't very clean and the shade was broken. It only came down halfway. The hotel is in a very sketchy place. I definitely didn't feel safe.
- 5/5
All of the staff were very friendly and accomodating to us. Breakfast was good. The area around the food and dining was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Air conditioning was very good.
- 5/5
My seond time here. Definitely my choice when I return to Raleigh.
- 5/5
Property was clean, check in went smooth. Staff very friendly. Would stay again. Room was clean and smelled fresh!
- 5/5
Parking was limited and I couldn’t figure out how to use my tv but it was a very nice hotel and very nice staff!
- 5/5
Mrs Victoria Bowen the manager for this hotel was awesome! Super helpful and very nice. Even under the heavy workload that walked in when we were checking in, she maintained professional and great customer service. Will visit again!
- 5/5
Very clean and well maintained.
- 4/5
Overall pretty good for the price
- 5/5
Good experience
- 5/5
Room was very nice.
- 4/5
Air conditioning smelled of urine, changed room. All ok
- 4/5
We tried to check in at 2. The woman at the front desk was snippy and said "Check in is at 3!" Not, welcome to Holiday Inn, I'm sorry your room isn't ready....
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Good place to stay.
- 3/5
The hotel is just OK. Decent price but it wasn’t the cleanest and had outdated features. Breakfast was great tho.
- 4/5
Overall our stay was really good! Quiet and the breakfast was good. The hallway did smell and was disappointed the pool was closed. We booked this place because of the pool.
- 5/5
Our only complaint is that our room was located beside the laundry chute that the cleaning staff use. It was very noisy. Also I had to pay a $100 refundable deposit on the room that I wasn't expecting in addition to my room rate at check in.
- 5/5
It’s comfortable and the staff was kind.
- 5/5
Friendly front desk staff at check in & out. Large and clean room. My only issue is that as woman I did not like parking my car in the back of the hotel which is a little creepy at night. There's no sidewalk to get to the front of the hotel in order to get let in.
- 2/5
The hotel smells really bad. The ac in our room worked but never got the room cold. The area surrounding the hotel is not the greatest area. There are transient people everywhere. I almost ran over someone who was panhandling when I drove in the first night. The lobby areas are very hot and I think it’s because they don’t rub the air conditioning. There was a terrible smell throughout the whole hotel. The pool was closed so my kids were disappointed that they couldn’t use the pool. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was it had a pool and holiday inns are typically nice clean hotels. This one was very disappointing
- 4/5
Property/room conditions are below Holiday Inn standards.
- 4/5
Very clean room but the shower didn't have good water pressure. Lots of sputtering when i was trying to shower.
- 3/5
It was clean, which is all you can really ask for. The showers are weird. Cold is hot, and hot is cold. The pool was shut down but doors open? Which was upsetting when you have kids. So I was disappointed seeing them get upset about it. The elevator doesn’t open right away, you have to wait. It’s just outdated. Traffic is terrible getting in and out. Especially durning rush hour. Staff was friendly, nothing crazy there. For where it’s located, it’s just not my cup of tea. So I wouldn’t stay here again. The traffic was too much for me. If you’re used to heavy traffic- go ahead! But for me? No.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice! Both hotel and room very clean!
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Enjoyed my stay, room was very large located on ground floor. Had king size bed and floor was clean. Bathroom was neat, with tub and toilet.
- 4/5
This hotel was nice and clean. Friendly staff. Did not feel to be the safest area to stay in.
- 3/5
Only one small elevator, no immediate entrance access to rear of building from rear parking lot.
- 3/5
There was pizza crust on the floor by the bed that had not been cleaned up.
- 3/5
Hotel room was fine. Was not made aware until I checked in that the elevator had scheduled maintenance for multiple days and we were put on the 3rd floor. Very inconvenient with having a 1 year old and having to make multiple trips with out being asked if we would like help. The front desk attendant at check-in was very nice and helpful! However, the attendant working the next morning was not as kind of helpful. My wife walked downstairs with our one year-old to inform them of a spill we had in our room to ask if it could be mopped and ask for extra towels, and she basically told her that there was Housekeeping upstairs, and she could go find them and let them know. On a normal basis this would be considered poor customer service, but especially with the elevators being down and carrying a one year old she wanted her to go back up 3 flights of stairs to find housekeeping herself.
- 5/5
Great stay while traveling
- 5/5
Our stay was great! The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet!
- 3/5
Great location near the Coastal Credit Union Music Park. Natalie was amazing and got me everything I needed. Comfort of room was ok. Heavy and loud doors that slam hard will wake you up!
- 4/5
Had a good stay
- 5/5
Clean and quick
- 5/5
Its was very comfortable and clean. Also very private and quite!
- 5/5
I like the hotel
- 5/5
Nice. Would stay again.
- 2/5
I stayed in a room on the ground floor. I killed at least 3 big ants in the bathroom and 2 spiders. Dried up pee on the toilet, dust rags by the window, hotel was fully booked so I could not change my room. The emergency exit door right by my room was cracked open with a stone. I will never stay here again.
- 4/5
Stay one night , Clean hotel , nice stuff
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
Access to the hotel was very difficult. The area around this property was not very clean and crossing (walking) to close by restaurants was difficult.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Check in with Natalie was wonderful. Very friendly and pleasant. Informed me of the amenities and asked if she could help with anything just to call down she would be there until 11 PM.
- 4/5
Good!
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet
- 5/5
Based on my last few hotel visits with other brands, this hotel is good to go. Things were so good I started looking for something to complain about and found nothing. Our entire visit was really nice.
- 5/5
Fantastic stay everything was clean and they stayed checking in on me.
- 5/5
Excellent quality hotel. Kids loved the pool. Getting in and out the hotel parking lot to go left is difficult and lots of smoking right outside the front door.
- 5/5
The stay was fine. I’ve stayed several times before but the window blinds unit in this particular room were difficult to manage and the shower leaked.
- 5/5
all was good
- 2/5
Got to the hotel around 8pm, there were other peoples clothes hung on the door of the bathroom. Then the fire alarm went off around 10-11pm and we received no explanation and with a 5 month old that late at night was awful. We sat outside for at least 30 minutes and then this morning at checkout they said they still didn’t know why the alarm went off. Nothing offered to us. Just a pretty rough stay all together.
- 4/5
Desk staff very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We liked everything! Great room, pool was awesome, breakfast was the best!
- 5/5
Our Hotel stay was excellent!
- 5/5

She definitely reminds me of oneof my aunts but I LOVE THE STAY AND WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK BECAUSE OF HER LMBO!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT WILL EVERYONE ELSE BUT I JUST LOVED HER.. SHE REALLY MADE MY NIGHT LOL.. THANK U MRS. LADY!!! FROM MIS DUNSTON😁
- 5/5
overall is good.
- 5/5
We were supposed to have a queen bedroom suite(I always book travel through Expedia) but when I hit there, I only was ae regular queen room. It still worked for me and my sister's, it's just not what we were looking forward to.
- 5/5
Very nice Hotel. Great customer service!
- 5/5
Grear
- 5/5
It was very clean and a great breakfast. The room very nice. The bed slept great. TV was on a tilt wall mount so it was nice could watch it from couch or bed with great ease.
- 5/5
On the whole, my son and I had a good experience. The desk clerk at check in was very helpful. I had asked for a room with 2 queen beds, but the first room we were assigned had one king bed. She very helpful in changing our room to meet our needs. The hotel was clean, and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a very nice selection of breakfast foods.
- 5/5
Parking space availability was poor
- 4/5
This was my second time staying at this hotel. The room was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast good. My main issue, which I thought was a fluke during my first stay but had the same issue in my second stay, is the toilet and how it flushes. It shoots out the water...if you poop, you don't want to be sitting down when you flush lol. Also, if you go #2 it doesn't take it down all the way and leaves smears that you have to reach in and clean by hand in order to get it off. It could be that I received 2 fluke rooms but I'm not sure how likely that is. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
- 2/5
I am a woman who was traveling alone and I really wasn't happy that I was put in an ajoining room, (110) next to the elevator.I could also hear people basically hanging around the parking lot. I went out to grab some things I didn't want stolen from my car just in case. There were a few people just hanging out.I heard a clicking sound all night. Finally at 4:30 am I called the front desk and the clerk told me me there was no one in the room next to me. Must have been the elevator. Not that he offered to change my room. I was so tired I was able to sleep for two hours. I figured breakfast was starting so I went. It was just after 6:30 am and the dining area was dark. I asked the clerk when breakfast was and he said, 6:30 and shrugged his shoulders. " Late I guess, bu" he said. A couple was also sitting in a booth next to me, as we waited. At 6:45 she came out and turned the lights on but, she said nothing about breakfast. Finally, I just got up and some things had been put out. I laid tongs on the 2 inch pan and she rudely told me, " they go in the crock beside the sausage!! There were veggie egg omelettes and they were ICE COLD in the middle.
- 3/5
The pool was closed, the area was extremely busy, there was construction being done inside and outside of the building which limited parking. The room doors didn't have safety latches so I had to go buy a security bar from Walmart.
- 3/5
No phone in the room. Desk was dirty with glass stains. No extras in the bathroom … (hair dryer)
- 2/5
There was no parking when we returned to the hotel. We were inconvenienced and forced to park in a heavily trafficked area. When a hotel rents a room. A parking spot should also be provided. It was not.
- 2/5
Construction everywhere. very few parking spots due to construction and loud!
- 1/5
Cockroach on the floor as soon as I walked in my room. Musty smell. Hairs all over bathroom.
- 1/5
Staff were friendly. AC did not work (only blew air not cold); it stayed on 74 despite me turning it to the lowest setting to try and cool it off. It was 1030 at night and people were screaming down the hall. The shower wasn’t very clean. Shower head also wouldn’t stay upright (kept falling down). The bed wasn’t very comfortable. I tried to use the computer to print a few papers and it didn’t work. Staff weren’t helpful with that.
- 4/5
Very sketchy area. I was concerned about my safety.
- 5/5
Very quick and easy check in/out! I don’t remember her name but the older lady that worked up front is an angel. Excellent customer service! Thank you so much for the great hospitality!
- 5/5
Clean,quiet and nice staff
- 4/5
CONSTRUCTION IS GOING ON AND NO USE OF POOL. 100 DEPOSIT EXTRA FOR DAMAGES. YOU GET A REFUND BUT ITS NICE TO KNOW UP FRONT THEN TO BE SURPRISED. NICE BREAKFAST THOUGH ESPECIALLY IF YOURE EATING HEALTHY. VEGGIE OMLETTS,TURKEY SAUAGE ,WALNUTS FRESH CRANBERRIES, FLAVORED GREEK YOGURT.OF COURSE THEY HAVE REGULAR SAUAGE,CHEESE OMLETTESS ,BISCUITS AND GRAVY,OATMEAL, BOILED EGGS ETC. AND GOOD COFFEE. ROOMS WERE CLEAN. ONLY THERE FOR 1 DAY.
- 5/5
I would like to say thank you to Mrs. Victoria the front desk clerk, her hospitality was greatly appreciated. The hotel was quiet, near eateries and gas stations. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, furnishing looked rather new and clean. However my husband and I didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast 🍳 but I’m sure it would have been good.
- 5/5
Everything was enjoyable.
- 1/5
Front desk lady was not helpful at all.
- 5/5
Kkk
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable and friendly staff
- 3/5
It was under construction. The air in our room did not work.
- 5/5
Really nice staff.
- 5/5
Without asking, I was upgraded to a king suite… Very nice! The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was also very quiet, I never heard a peep. Victoria at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty much the usual and was definitely decent. I liked having a Keurig in the room so I could have just one cup of coffee and not make a whole pot. Overall a very good stay and I would stay there again.
- 2/5
Property was under renovation with no notice. Construction trucks and dumpsters occupied many parking spaces illegally limiting parking for customers.
- 5/5
There is remodeling going on but that did not impact our stay.
- 4/5
The parking was awful as many spaces were taken up by construction workers. My husband is handicap and we had to park in the back. The clerk offered to move her car and give us her space...she's handicap too! What a lovely lady! The renovations are nice. The room was clean. The area around the hotel was not very inviting.
- 5/5
Place is beautiful!
- 5/5
It was a great stay
- 2/5
Property was under renovations, construction equipment was taking up parking spots up front, and all other entry points were closed off besides the main entry way. staff was kind and friendly, and breakfast services was great. notable the only way up to and from the 3rd floor was the elevator, all other access points were closed off.
- 3/5
I stayed on the first floor and the doors are made of a cheap material that go into the hallway so you can hear everyone’s else’s doors constantly. I also took a photo, but it is difficult to interpret the large gaps around these doors. They need to invest in better doors, and just close the hotel for a week or two and do the renovations and get back to normal. I stay here occasionally for business, but this renovation and its lengthiness is out of hand.
- 4/5
The parking was VERY limited bc of construction work.
- 3/5
No parking..construction took parking, check in lady was rude. It was just average for 1 night stay. I wouldn't go back.
- 4/5
Didn't like traffic and crazy people on the road. Homeless people down the road.
- 5/5
They are renovating the hotel, so there were construction trucks in the parking lot however it did not impact our stay at all. We felt totally safe in the hotel, however we missed the entrance and had to turn on the next road and that seemed a little sketchy. People standing around, garbage, and some homeless people.
- 3/5
I booked my trip in August of 2023 for a concert in June 2024. I selected the option to pay at the property. The day manager apparently attempted to pre-charge my card at noon on the date of arrival, but the card was declined because I had since received a new debit card since booking the reservation. She had attempted to call me, but I was traveling and couldn’t be reached, so she cancelled my reservation. When I arrived at the hotel at 8pm with two 16 year old girls, I found out the room had been cancelled and the hotel was booked. Because my card should never have been charged until I arrived, I would’ve given this hotel a 1 star review for service. However, the two ladies working the desk that evening were so kind and helpful at making sure we found a nice, safe place to stay for the two nights we were in town…they earned a few extra stars. I can’t say anything more about the hotel since we didn’t actually stay there, but I hope that day manager learns what “pay at property” means for future customers.
- 5/5
Housekeeping staff was friendly. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the breakfast staff lady was constantly telling other families that they are sorry that they keep running out of things but people keep taking multiple plates and this breakfast is not meant to be like that. It’s supposed to be a quick grab and go at least that’s how we took it, I don’t think she should make people feel like that. There were several families there so of course they’re gonna grab some plates to take back to the room since there was not enough seating. She seemed to want to micromanage everybody that who was making their plates. The breakfast was amazing though. But she should realize that people consider that free breakfast as part of picking this hotel. This place was so close to everything I would stay here again.
- 3/5
I was really disappointed that the pool was under construction. We had traveled 11 hours that day and was looking forward to stretch our legs and get some swimming in after sitting all day. Only to find out the pool was under construction. What a disappointment.
