Elevator too slow

Enjoyed the comfy beds and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Halls could be cleaner…lots of debree on the carpets. Our room was clean.

The most important thing is that the shower was working well and I didn't experience the water suddenly getting cold. The most annoying thing was that on checkout day, someone from Housekeeping was knocking on the door at 9:09 am, even though I had put out the "Privacy Please" sign. I explained to the person that checkout time is 11 am and that they should come back then. ...and so as you can imagine, it was extremely frustrating when again - someone from Housekeeping was knocking on the door (five minutes later) at 9:14. I don't know if it was the same person, but it doesn't really matter because if the "Privacy Please" card has been put out, no one should be knocking on the door until 11 am. Expedia lists Checkout time as 12 noon. At check-in, Best Western tells us that check-out is at 11 am: this means that the room is paid for through 10:59 am. No one from Housekeeping should be rudely knocking on the door, trying to pressure the guest into leaving early. Pushing the guest out early is giving that person an experience where they aren't receiving full value. The earliest that the next guest would be checking into the room would be 3 pm. There should be plenty of time to clean the room. If there isn't, more people need to be hired, or there is some other problem. This is not the first time I've had this problem. I know other guests have had to put up with this as well. It would be great if management as well as Housekeeping fully understood this issue.

We’ve always stayed at this BW location as it was budget friendly and close to our family. Very good location and staff is friendly and welcoming and helpful. This time, the room wasn’t cleaned well. The night table on my husband’s side was sticky as well as that side of the floor. I do appreciate the fast response of the Front Desk - Naira (?).

I contacted Best Western and a hotel employee said he was going to cancel the reservation. Few days later after reviewing bank statements, I realized I was charged for the stay.

Beds were uncomfortable, pests that should also be taking part of the nightly fee, multiple calls in the middle of the night to sign a paper because of a broken printer at check in after a late evening check in, fire alarm at 2 am and then another call at 7am. Not a good experience!

Everything was great! Except the fact that when I checked in the printer didn’t work and I was unable to sign any paperwork. My daughter and I stayed the night after a softball tournament, her last game was at 7pm we were exhausted & just wanted to have dinner, take a shower & go to sleep because we had to be up at 6am. At 12:30 the front desk lady comes knocking at my door asking me sign papers… like really. Then at 2:30 the fire alarm goes off.

Elevator was broken for part of the stay. The stairs I was told to use had a jammed door. This location is not as nice as others I have stayed at.

Clean room, staff don’t speak English, pet friendly, breakfast same everyday but area kept clean, elevator broke down before we got our luggage down from 3rd floor. Front desk offered assistance when we were already out of the room but we had already lugged our big suit cases down flights of stairs. I recommend staying on 1st or 2nd floors. Laundry works ok but over flows , it is on the second floor.

It’s a motel where the doors are on the outside open to anyone that walks by. The property is very old and is some parts really run down. It’s not worth the $150. I would only pay $50 to stay here. However the staff was amazing and tried everything to accommodate us, however they had no rooms that would accommodate 3 people.

We switched rooms 2 times before there was a decent room. The toilet didn’t work there was hair all over the floor. The front desk guy was the only redeeming quality as he help us out a lot. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this property. Stay elsewhere.

Maid entered the room while I was in the bathroom even though the do not disturb sign was on. She was annoyed that I asked her to leave. TV remote was missing. They replaced it with one with dead batteries. Breakfast was digestible, but I ended up going to McDonalds. I do not recommend this place.

Came back to finally check in at 8:37pm. Same front desk agent says it was because my room was the only room with an issue. I booked a two queen bed room, was given a two double bed room. We simply didn’t get what we paid for.

Arrived at 5:40 to check in and was told I’d have to wait for my room because they hadn’t finished cleaning the rooms. Check in was 3 so that was frustrating. Then tried to take a shower and the conditioner bottle was empty. Went for breakfast at 9:15 (or closed at 5) and almost all food was gone. Tried to check out at 9:45 because there was no online checkout and no one was at front desk. Waited awhile and then just finally left and gave up.

Worst experience ever

No bath towels or toilet paper in the room when we checked in. Random hairs on the bed and on hand towels. Room smelled terrible of cigarettes, there was also a giant crater in the middle of the bed which made sleeping uncomfortable. Front desk lady was super nice and informative. Definitely looked better online than in person.

The room was filthy. Covered in cobwebs and bugs. The shower was clogged. The staff were rude and unprofessional. The hotel policy is to charge the full stay to your card on file at 3pm without you present and cancel your room if the card declines. My bank flagged the charge as fraud. Initially said they would hold the reservation until I could check in and present the card in person, then canceled it anyways. Don't stay here. There are so many other better hotels right next door.

The room was clean. The staff was courteous. Heater was working, and the shower worked well enough. The biggest issue I had was the extremely rude people in the room next to me. I think it was the end unit. At one o'clock in the morning, people were crashing around and woke me up. Someone - several times - was continuously knocking on their door, asking to be let in. There is a higher priced hotel next to Best Western. They have an atrocious policy of charging for overnight parking. But one good feature they have is that they let their guests know that after 10 PM, it needs to be quiet. The barbarians next to me were also having loud conversation in the parking lot. Because it's freezing at night in Rancho Cordova (January), I needed to run the heater. I think the same people were smoking close to my room, and their second-hand smoke was pulled in through the heater. If Best Western - in future- could mention to their guests that they need to keep it down after 10 PM, that would be a good thing. A little common courtesy is appreciated.!

Room smelled like cigarettes. Discovered DRIED BLOOD on the comforters before checking out. Worst feeling ever after sleeping on the bed and not noticing.

I am sorry for not being super excited about the room. Im sure they tried and the guy at the desk was cool but all of the electric outlets didnt really work at all and im still waiting for my deposit refund. I am a traveling electrician so i stay in hotels every week and sadly i will be looking elsewhere for my next stay. Sorry, i just dont think they invest much in their business

I made a reservation and paid on line on your website only to be told that it had not been paid and we had to go thru a 3rd party!!!...Expedia!!!.why would I get a confirmation number and give my credit card information to only make a reservation when it appeared I had paid for the night??? only to find out it was not paid..... why would you have such a stupid system!!!!! We will see if I get billed twice for the night!!!! The clerk was not helpful!

I have stayed at this location four times in the last four months and i would have to say the same comment about each and every room i stayed in.

The bed was in a metal bedframe box, noisy and also very high off the ground, even for an average height person. In the morning, there were ants all over the bathroom counter in a second floor room. First time that I’ve had a bad experience at this Best Western Plus.

The bed was so uncomfortable!! Broken down, squeaky, just horrible. How are you suppose to get a good nights sleep? Breakfast was ok but now not allowed to bring food to your room. I cant eat that early so I won’t be staying here ever again

Unlike once in the past, the heater was working. Very important, as it was a very cold night. The water in the shower was consistently hot/warm. Very important, as I freeze easily. There is a motel next to Best Western where you can have an extended stay. I tried it once but the room I got had a very messed up door lock. I lost a lot of time; even the person at the front desk had a hard time getting it open. That was the last time I spent my money there. On the other side of Best Western, is another "Inn" or "Courtyard"? It's a nice layout, but way too expensive. One of their tightwad policies is to charge their customers a fee for parking overnight. No wonder their parking lot is mostly empty. As someone who pays property taxes in Rancho Cordova, I don't have lots of extra money to dish out for hotel rooms. The powers that be are always pushing for more taxes. A new tax request or bond fund measure every other year. BOND: Building Our Next Deficit. I spend so much on taxes that it limits what I can spend on hotel rooms. Thank you for not gouging me on every last cent; like on parking fees!!!!!

So our room was not clean it smelled like cigarettes. We had to go to the front desk more than once first of all we had no washcloths then we had no blow dryer the picture was hanging off the wall and the towel rack in the bathroom was also not stable. The front door handle was coming unscrewed it was not a very comfortable situation to be in with two young boys

The room was clean and everything was okay. The bed and pillows weren't very comfortable and the mattress or bed frame was VERY squeaky. If you move a lot in your sleep, this may not be the place for you.

The one issue that kept me from rating Excellent is the lack of disinfecting wipes in the fitness room. Equipment needs to be wiped down after each use, but there were no supplies to do so.

The property is well maintained. Saw staff cleaning all areas and parking lot. Decor is updated and modern. Bed is comfortable. The WiFi worked. The only downside is the noise from highway 50. Get a room that faces the parking lot.

Room looked recently updated, nice towels and sheets, great value for the night I was there. Was going to book the next town over which was closer to my destination, but based on good reviews and free parking, I went to this Best Western. For me, it was worth the extra few minutes of driving.

Stuff was great in accommodating but check in was a bit confusing. All in all a nice stay. Grooms are a little dated and cramped if you're in a wheelchair without an accessible room, but I took what I could get on the ground floor and appreciate staff for making that happen.

Checked into the room and is was meh nothing great about it. There was a big bottle on the bathroom counter of draino? The breakfast wasn’t bad but the front desk guy yelled at us because we were going to take it back to our room but I guess your not allowed even though nothing is posted that you have to eat it in the breakfast area. Then woke up to a roach crawling on our tv. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

I like it this hotel

The room was very nice! Very clean and it had the "looks new" feel to it. However, the two ladies who worked at the front desk (the one who checked us in, in the evening, and another one at the later night shift) were not nice at all and were very rude! We've stayed at different hotels before but never came across really rude personnel before. The location is nice, and has lots of good restaurants nearby. The KP International place is a good place to visit. The breakfast was good too! The hotel is recommended, the hotel personnel could use improvement.

Our room was on the side of the building in a hallway. The other people staying at the hotel were loud all night long and when they were in the hallway it echoed.

Very nice staff but when my husband was bringing my coffee to me so I could relax before jumping in the shower he was told no. We travel all over the world and no hotel has ever told us that. The coffee in the room is not near as good🙁

Great location, easy off/on highway. Staff have been really nice & helpful. Breakfast was good, hot & fresh with a lot of choices. They have an espresso/hot chocolate/cappuccino machine in the breakfast area you can access anytime. I had 2 so far & they are good... cheese Omelettes, potatoes, sausage links, biscuits & gravy, waffles, yogurt, hot & cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, assorted breads & pastries, coffee, milk & juice. Room was clean & well stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner & body wash in the shower & a blow dryer. Bed is comfortable. There is a coffee maker, microwave & refrigerator also.. nice pool with a nice shaded lawn area. I didn't see a hot tub... if you're checking in late at night you'll need to ring the four bell located to the left of the lobby doors. All room entrances are outside.

Quiet and convenient location to get to Sac state

Next morning I wake up and find a dead roach and hair on my towels. I complain to the property and they said they would reclean it but cant offer any compensation because it was booked through expedia. I return later to my room, bed was made, but the same towels still had hair on them. I complain and they just replaced the dirty towels. Last night i wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and find a cockroach crawling on the bathroom floor. Hotel wasnt able to offer me anything except a discount next time I return. I will never return back to this hotel and I suggest no one else does.

The staff was friendly. It’s close & convenient to the freeway & restaurants. I didn’t have time to check out the breakfast. This felt more like a cheap hotel than the usual BW’s I’m used to staying at. I would not want to stay there again. I didn’t feel very safe, thought I heard gun shots going off at night, sketchy people & homeless where I had to park made me nervous.

I arrived 11:30 pm and the room was so dirty- the soap was thin as if someone just left. - I went to sleep and in the morning I told the manager. She immediately upgraded me to a better clean room. - it was only the person working at night.

We were not satisfied with room 111 because it had a terrible smell, similar to weed or meth. We politely asked a staff member if we could move to another room, but she informed us that there were no available rooms for the night. She did provide us with an unscented spray to use in the room, but unfortunately, the odor was still strong.

Very welcoming, nice lounge, appealing lobby area, large size dining, the complimentary breakfast buffet could have had more variety and taste. The overall experience was very positive and would definitely recommend. Looking forward to visit again and stay in the near future

This has become our go-to when we visit our adult children and granfdson. Always clean reasonably priced and the staff are amazing. While my wife and I are very particular about bed/mattress firmness, I'm sure the beds are fine for most and the rooms are otherwise comfortable. Overall just a great value.

Rooms on the freeway side have an annoying level of road noise. Some rooms do not have a functional bathroom vent and door lock. The woman handling the breakfast area was a very good worker and deserves to work at a higher level of hotel. The hotel management was very accommodating in our request to move from the room with freeway noise to a quieter one. This involved giving us a larger room for the same price.

Room was comfortable. But the TV quit working half way through our stay. And the refrigerator froze everything in it. Cans of pop exploded and made a mess.
