We had to change some travel plans last minute and I chose Hampton because it has always been reliably comfortable, clean, friendly and convenient.

The interior was freshened up, and the room seemed to have undergone a remodel, but they must have run out of money because they had removed the desk and not replaced it, and only one light over the bed was new not both. In fairness I've stay at this property many times over the last 14 years and have always been satisfied so these are more observations and not complaints.

Overall this was a good hotel but we had a "bad" room as it was located directly above the entrance and the automatic sliding door was noisy and disruptive throughout the night. Hotel staff and Hotels.com were very receptive to the issue and resolved the issue satisfactorily.

Stopped in Redding for the night and this was the best hotel for our family of 4. We did a late check in and the property was safe, could only be accessed by a key or calling the front desk! The breakfast on the morning was an added plus, and the staff was great! Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel recently went through an entire remodel - lobby, dining area, all rooms - beautiful, clean, and updated.

Breakfast was ok. Dog barking in room next door for 3 days. Place under construction. Sheet rock dust on breakfast tables.

Room was fine, bathroom had hair on the floor. Beds were comfortable but barking dog in a room on the same floor was annoying.

The easiest hotel stay I have ever had. We showed up late ant night (11pm) passing through on our way to Southern CA for Christmas. Only took a minute to check in. They are currently undergoing a remodel so there is a little construction going on but it didn’t affect us. The breakfast attendant was very sweet as well. Room was clean and updated.

Noise from room above is very unpleasant. Crying child down the hall was very unpleasant. Compared to other Hampton Inn food was underwhelming. (We stay in Hampton as much as we can).

Staff was nice, clean room. There was construction going on, but in the early morning about 8am there was a Lot of Very Loud noise... Whatdyagonnado... Ugh

Hotel under a very dirty and chaotic renovation. My room did not have hot water. Had a loud hum in the adjoining wall, did not have maid service or vacuuming and the bed frame had been out together or assembled wrong during renovation so when you lay on bed it would move out of the frame and rail s and fall to the floor on one side so bed then tilted to one side of floor.

Construction in front lobby made the stay a mess. Woken up at 5AM by workers. Would not recommend.

The property is under a full renovation. Man lifts delivering materials to the third floor over guests vehicles. Most of the parking is blocked off for construction. Big signs saying “park at your own risk“. Spa out of order. No finish wallboard in elevator, no coffee, drapes won’t open as designed, bring your own rope to tie open. Ceiling tiles missing. Construction starts at 0800 on the entire third floor, very loud saws and equipment.

No hot tub, big bummer.

You charge full price yet I stayed yhere to use and enjoy the spa. I would prefer the elevator as apose to carring all my stuff up 2 flights of stairs.

yes, our rooms clean. There was a lot of parking. We had a wonderful event at the beer festival.

Handicap accessible room was not handicap accessible. It had a shower was shower over tub combo with a chair (which was not in her room). They only have one true handicap accessible room. My mom was unable to take a shower for the two nights we were there. Our was on the second floor, elevator was down the whole stay! When we checked in we were told it would be fixed that day. They also had construction going on everyday starting at approximately 7:00am.

The bed was in very bad condition! The mattress needs replaced and the wood from that the mattress sat on was broken and made the loudest noise every time you moved. Hot tub also wasn’t working. It had caution tape . Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. But for me the bed is the most important thing and it was in definite need of replacing. So for this price I’m very disappointed. Hampton Inn has never disappointed me until now!

I love staying here. You’re just a short drive from such wonderful outdoor nature hikes, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. The breakfast is great too.

Overall it was a nice place to stay. The only negative would be the room above us was extremely noisy. Sound like they were running laps in their room.

Hamton Inns have always been my hotel of choice. They seem to always exceed my expectations and this stay was no exception. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous. I would highly recommend and will stay here again.

Hilton properties have always been reliably clean and not worn down, and friendly but apparently the company has gone to a pet friendly hotel. Dogs barking, fighting, and in the food area are not acceptable… we’ve stayed at a Hilton property twice in the last month and experienced the dog issues. We have decided to not stay at Hilton properties anymore because of the pet friendly policy they have adopted.

Our room (219) was directly over the main entry automatic sliding doors. The mechanics that open and close the doors were extremely noisy and were operating all night. Did not get a restful nights sleep.

Hot tub was out of service but overall it was a convenient and inexpensive stay. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly.

Check in was great, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfy and quiet. Nice grounds, we had a pup with and they offered a nice grass area to walk and use. Unfortunately, the only negative was the breakfast. We stay at Hamptons regularly and its usually great food, this was mediocre at best but its an easy fix. Regardless, we'd stay again.

I read in a review from January that the hot tub was not working, I would have thought that it being April now that it would be fixed. But no hot tub! We would have booked our stay somewhere else because this is important to us. Everything else was fine. The staff are great! The landscaping needs work. Weeding, pruning and mulch. The little bit of grass that is there has weeds and is sparse. The mirror in our bathroom is worn. Comfortable bed, quiet room

And to top it all, it appears that i have been overcharged.

Much improved from our previous stays here. Cleaner, better breakfast. Good job!

Quiet and convenient.

Very noisy unruly kids above us. Late at night. We were in 220, the desk advised the 3rd floor. I disregarded the advice. My mistake. Otherwise a good visit.

Breakfast was good and several choices. Unfortunately hot water came from a dispenser that was used at some point for coffee. We drink tea & choice of tea were great but it tasted like coffee. Ask the gentle man working if there was another place for hot water & he insisted No Coffee was in there. Kind of started our day on the wrong foot. Hampton gives out tea perhaps hot water can be from a pot only for water.

We could hear dogs barking and had a lot of dog hear in the hall.

We were put in an Accessible room directly above the hotel entrance and right outside the elevator. The soundproofing is so terrible we could hear everyone going in and out of the front door. The noise was so terrible we barely slept. Will never stay here again.

Susan greeted us at the front desk and took great care of our needs!! We had an awesome stay even for just one night. Definitely book here again when the occasion arises.

Was super easy and quick to get our room key! Very nice facilities. The pool heater wasn't working when we went unfortunately. The reception staff were very nice, but I was a bit surprised by their casual dress. Breakfast was great. Overall a very good experience.

In the past this Hampton has performed poorly. We have stayed here over the years and 5+ times per year the last two years. The last two years have been bad for them, poor breakfast, poor cleanliness. This time MUCH IMPROVED. Glad they have improved, the breakfast was much better.

We were there for a wedding in Palo Certa. Centrally located. We went to Lake Shasta Dam & Caverns. Room was clean & comfortable. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was delicious, they offered hot items. Cookies in the evening was a great treat to have with the tea/coffee that was offered in the lobby. Would stay there again.

Extremely noisy hotel with very old furnishings. Bed was extremely soft and lumpy. Would not recommend this hotel. Rating should be 1-2 stars with below average to poor conditions.

Hampton Inn and Suites, in general, has been a reliable brand to go to for our family. Redding’s location was convenient, check in was a breeze and the gentleman at the front desk in the evening at check in was very pleasant and friendly. Room was spacious, clean, and a welcome respite for the night. And, of course, breakfast in the morning was much appreciated and tasty too.

Pleasant stay, wonderful staff. Suggestions: towel bars or hooks needed near bathroom sink. There is nothing at all. We used closet hangers for hand towels. Also, there is no channel guide for tv. The QR code next to tv leads to a template for a channel guide, but it’s not filled in. Channel listings on the screen are confusing and we could not find any major network channels.

AC unit failed to cool the room. Shower was filthy.

Breakfast selection was WONDERFUL - the small things really mattered. Whipped cream for the waffles, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, the berry compote, hard boiled eggs as well as scrambled eggs. Coffee and tea available in the lobby 24 hours… Nice outside pool area, we dislike indoor pools and the humidity they create.

We booked a room at the Hampton Inn in Redding last minute as we were evacuated from our home for the Park Fire that started in Chico, and we had to bring our cat with us (of course!). We are very thankful that Hampton allows pets. We have stayed with various Hampton Inns throughout the US in the past; this is our favorite hotel chain due to comfortable beds, cleanliness, quality and variety of the breakfast buffet, and overall high quality. The Hampton Inn in Redding was no exception.

It was just ok. They gave us a room for wheelchair accessible. Not sure why and the window looked out at the carport roof which was approximately 3 feet from our window.

Twice in the last 2 weeks your front desk staff rudely told us that their Hampton Inn no longer provides afternoon cookies. That was why we liked Hampton Inns in the first place. We understood that cookies were out during Covid but that is not a problem now. Also, Hilton has raised the prices too much so we will b staying at other hotels such as Oxford Inns, Comfort Inn Hotels & others which r just as nice as Hamptons but cost less & have more polite staff.

Large rooms, AC unit was unpredictable but worked. Make sure AC is good condition before check in, Regular breakfast and nice & helpful staff.
