    The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful as well. There was plenty of parking. The only problem I had was that the tv does not have a guide. There is a printout of the channels; however, it does not include local channels. Additionally, without a guide you cannot determine what shows are coming on later.

    Everything was great! We forgot toothpaste and they were not able to provide any for us, though it was something they offered in the event a guest forgot an essential. Otherwise- excellent. They breakfast staff and housekeeping were exceptional.

    The Holiday Inn and Suites in Redding was generally adequate for what I needed: a place to stop between the Bay Area in California and Eugene. My room was quite inexpensive. The room was clean, and there was free parking. So I reminded myself to bring shampoo next time in case I find that the dispenser is broken, as it was here. I would have liked more light in the room, but I didn't really need it. The bed was good, not too soft.

    Stayed here for a weekend for a wedding. Great location. Quiet at night but close to stores and restaurants. Just a little over an hour to waterfalls and hikes. Breakfast was convenient. Staff was friendly. Plenty of parking. Rooms were clean.

    The elevator had a strong foul smell, and the corridor also smelled bad with dirty carpet. The towels were not clean. There was a large hole with mold in the shower wall. Staff did not pick up the trash even after I called.

    Things were good until we tried to extend our stay. On Friday I thought I booked another night. When Sunday came around which was our original day to check out the staff member came pounding on our door and said we need to get out as we are late to check out. I was not there and my wife was rudely treated and packed up quickly and before I got her message and call the hotel she had checked out. The person at the front desk said she left and they found that I had booked an extra day but that didn’t mean everything was right. We will not stay there again.

    Traveling 3000 miles and staying at Holiday Inn Express all along the way has really made me aware of how managing staff can determine the overall experience. Staying in the Redding IHE was awful compared to all the others. The lobby is large and musty. The rooms are organized but smell like they are dirty. The bathroom literally smelled like feet. The towels smelled like they were left in the washer for a day before being transferred to the dryer (IYKYK). The breakfast was lacking variety compared to all the other IHE. Basically, I could not wait to check out!! The only positive thing I can say… checking in was friendly. Side notewe had to wait for him to finish a smoke break before he sauntered in to the front desk area.

    Staff was not professional at all, pool was broken during stay and noticed several covered smoke alarms in main hallway. We have stayed here in the past and it has gone downhill in last year. Finally, we had booked an accessible room on Hotels.com and were not given this when checked in. Was a major hassle on customer service with Hotels.com and I will not be using them again; they wanted me to vacate the room after our whole family had moved in to get a refund...this local hotel hasn't gotten back to me yet.

    Staff was very friendly. The room was clean when we arrived but no one cleaned the room while we were staying there. The gym was not well equipped. Two treadmills were broken or had motor issues. There was no way to clean the machines or weights. No sanitation wipes or spray to clean any of the equipment you used. Pool was usable but clearly not maintained as the temperature was too cold to swim.

    Our connecting room had a water leak and the floor was wet and the room smelled bad. We gave up the room. They offered a another one for the second night but it was on another floor. We said no just refund us for the room. They said they had to get a manager approval. Manager won't be in until Monday. So I don't know if I am going to get a refund. And the pancake maker did not work. Sorry look above. Write it in the wrong place. Other than that it was a nice stay.

    I had an issue on Friday night 1/10 with other guests being extremely loud in the room next door from 10 pm to 3am! Called the front desk 4 times to make them stop but nothing was done until I demanded the night receptionist come up to the third floor and knock on their door. I waited in the hallway 20 minutes for him to show and knock on their door and tell them to stop making noise, this was at 2am! They did not stop until 3am! The next morning I complained to the morning receptionist and she said she would talk to the manager and see if I could get a refund for that night and would have to wait until Monday to speak to the manager. I forgot to write down her name and the manager’s name so later that day around 6pm I tried to ask a new receptionist for the women’s name I spoke with earlier and the manager’s name so I could follow up with my credit on Monday. Another employee heard our conversation and decided to jump in. His name was Jason an he was extremely rude, disrespectful and confrontational with me and said that he would not give out the names of other employees or the manager because it was against company policy. I told him that was completely stupid and that I was only asking for their first names so I could follow up on my credit for one night. I never raised my voice with Jason or became irate or abusive as he claimed but he called the police and had me physically removed from the hotel Saturday night 1/10 which was humiliating and completely wrong and unnecess

    Easy to find Property outside was fine the inside definitely needed some work you could tell management for this location just doesn’t care. The bathroom shower fixtures were fall off of the wall, the bathroom floor wasn’t cleaned very well and there were limited towels. The pool area was filthy we even found a cockroach type bug outside the pool door. The complimentary breakfast was awful and there were boxes everywhere in the sitting area along with garbage overflowing

    We have stayed here several times and have been happy except this time there was cigarette smoke in one of our non-smoking rooms. The staff didn’t seem interested in that, WiFi would not connect, and the entire hall of floor 3 smelled musty. Has there been pipes that broke? Water flooded somewhere? It was awful. Breakfast selection was good but overall we would not stay next year on our annual December trip.

    Unfortunately this hotel was very dirty. Pull out mattress looked like it had been stained very badly with body fluids. Couch was the same. So gross that we didn’t even sit on it. Sheets had hair and stains like they had not been changed. Room was falling apart and the smell was almost unbearable in the room. Locks to the hotel entrances were broken and anyone could access the hotel. I will never stay and this hotel again.

    It was fine. A/C actually worked very well, breakfast food better than most. But my shoes were sticky after walking in the dining area. There was a very loud popping noise in my room every couple of hours that scared me. Might have been the fridge. Also, they need to upgrade their in-room device charging station because it doesn't accommodate USB-C.

    The parking area was safe. The staff were generally helpful. The only concern.....the jacuzzi water was hotter than was comfortable. I was not able to stay in the water more than 10 minutes because my skin was becoming red. I believe the staff should monitor the temperature of the water better to avoid injuries to the guests.

    Criminals prowling the businesses and vehicles in the immediate area. I saw criminal activity from my room window breaking into a business next door. I notified the front desk, but they were non-responsive to contact the local police and they had little to no concern for the clients safety that were staying at their hotel.

    The parking was very limited and you couldn’t use side doors for entering (only leaving) so you had to walk around the building to get back through the front door. The staff said the owners removed coded access to all doors but the front, this seemed weird and felt unsafe to me.

    While this hotel looks good at first glance, the emergency exit sign at my hally was broken, the fire exit door handle was broken so it would be impossible to open it in case of a fire, the smoke alarm in my room was hanging from the ceiling by wires and not secured to the ceiling. In addition, when I checked in at the desk, they had no record of my Expedia booking, which was prepaid. Fortunately I was able to show them the booking confirmation and payment receipt and they had a room available, but it took a half hour at the lobby desk while the employee made several calls to figure out what to do. Then I went through it all again checking out with a different staff person who wanted to charge me since the replacement room showed no payment. Another half hour proving I paid Expedia, but there was nothing in their system!

    Easy access to fwy and central area for restaurants and shops. Not far from attractions. The room is good size but a bit dusty and smell very unpleasant. Maybe because the hotel allowed pets. So, they used some cleaner with very strong smell. We did not bring our dog to travel. Does not need pet friendly. Next room has a small dog barking in the morning. Breakfast was served hot and ok but when we were there too many people the kitchen is having trouble to keep up with the demand. The worker at kitchen is very friendly and nice will come out to asked if people needed anything and also warned food is very hot be careful. Front desk is very under staff. Check in person very nice but before 8pm I need to go in person to get extra towels at front desk. AC is very loud, the sofa bed looks dated so we did not used. The curtain too light weight parking lot lighting so bright at night and lack of privacy.

    The location looked great online. When we arrived the lobby looked just like the photos, but as soon as we stepped into the elevator everything went downhill. Room was packed tightly with furniture. Lights were missing the lamp shades or not connected. The carpet had several big stains. Ceiling and walls were covered in stains. AC unit was so loud I hardly slept. In other words, DO NOT recommend.

    I got the two bed suite. Room is big. Beds are comfy. WiFi was a bit slow. Didn’t really see what they have on tv so unable to do review on that part. They had a small pool and wasn’t crowded when we went to use it but the pool is pretty small so glad no to many pool were using the pool at the same time as us. They also had a small hot tub same area as pool. Oh, pool is indoor and super strong chlorine smell plus because of hot tub the whole room a bit steamy (just FYI so you don’t get surprised). It was quite during our stay and I reserved in advance to check in was pretty quick.

    When we arrived they only had 1 room and stated they were totally sold out. The front desk agent stated that this was a Hotels.com (Expedia) issue and there was nothing he could do, even after I showed him my reservation details that clearly showed 2 rooms reserved! He called the manager who advised him to cancel the reservation. We called another hotel nearby and they luckily had 2 rooms. To add salt to the wound, Holiday Inn Express billed me for 2 rooms which they never provided! (remember they said there was only 1 room booked?) I called the Hotel to ask for the charges to be reversed as this must be an error and they directed me back to Hotels.com. I did connect with Hotels.com (Expedia) and they informed me that this was a Holiday Inn issue, but they would put a case in their system and would contact me in 72 hours. I am awaiting their response. I have used Hotels.com and have also booked Holiday Inn locations in the past with no issues, over many years. I will think twice moving forward.

    Not so great. I was traveling with my grandson and there was a mix up in our booking. We got a king instead of 2 queens. They brought us a rollaway bed, but it was horrible. It was basically springs with a sheet laid over the top, no sort of mattress, topper or anything. My poor grandson ended up sleeping on the floor as they were booked up and had no other room they could give us. ☹️

    Room is dirty, WiFi signal is very weak. Telephone was broke. Tub was broke. Staff could only tell you rooms were sold out. Breakfast containers were always empty. Staff did not work on preparing the food but went around to tell you food was coming.

    Hotel has completely degraded, I have spent nights over 5 years and NEVER have experienced this. The smell of dog and dampness, the wear and tear of the rooms and bathroom are unsafe. Breakfast had go be waiting 5-10 minutes for different items to come only had one poor lady working everything. Never again will I be staying there and I was a yearly customer.

    There were 2 large towels in what they considered a suite. Room much to small. Couldn't open front door ifvyou had bathroom door open. $30 dollar charge for amenities which consisted of two coffèe pods. Front staff was forced friendly. Poor breakfast.

    First i want to say every staff member i talked to was awesome. My room on the other hand horrible multiple thing were broke, phone was missing old of the beds smelled like a fart like literally smell like a fart i kept telling my son no one want to smell him come to find out it was the bed. No accommodation was offered or made to fix it. They were fully book. Expedia didn't do anything to fix or accommodate either. Very unhappy at $150 a night not worth it.

    The Breakfast was wonderful! We had eggs and sausage and potatos! My Granddaughter went swimming for over an hour in the pool, which was really nice and then we went over next door to the Cattlemans Restaurant. We were also able to park over there so we could see our car from our hotel room. Also, if you show your room key to the Cattlemans staff they give you a discount! Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and welcoming!

    Within few minutes of entering the room we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. We went to the front desk and then they told me it is a cricket and not a cockroach. After some convincing they gave a us the only remaining room in the hotel which was smelling bad. So we went back to the original room and when opened the comforter to sit down on the bed, we saw multiple bed bugs. We packed our bags and left. Good luck staying here.

    I almoat always stay at a Holiday Inn when i travel. This location was by far the worse. I was given a room with a broken light and outlet. One of the two exits where we could leave the hotel, the door was broken. We couldnt even eat breakfast in the morning during our stay due to nothing being restocked. Breakfast was offered until 930a and almost everything was gone before 9a. The fridge where milk and yogurt is kept was empty, pancake machine not working, cereal gone, bread gone. I mean 95% of everything just gone. Ive never seen that before even getting breakfast in the past closer to the end time. The staff was friendly though. But still regret my choice in where I stayed. Sucks to have had the extra food expense for two days when we had to make a family emergency trip, which was already an expense unplanned to begin with. I would not recommend that location.

    There was mold everywhere. On the ceiling and growing in the walls in the bathroom. We could smell it and the room was humid. We opened a window just to try and get the smell out. There was makeup smeared on the light and the shower safety bar was literally coming out of the wall. I tried to switch rooms but they didn’t have another suite. Turns out this room was above the pool and the moisture had created major mold issues. It should not be rented. This makes the top 5 nastiest rooms I’ve ever had to stay in. We will not be back.

    The staff was very friendly and the facility was clean. The breakfast was hot, but was often out of things. The brown sugar for the oatmeal was hard as a rock and the pancake machine was out the whole 12 days we were there. We often stay at these hotels. I noticed other locations are more attentive to their food service.

    It all was going fine until I was in the bathroom and the power went out. We were on the 3rd floor and unable to walk down the stairs due to a disability so we had to wait for the power to come back on to get checked out. We were in a handicap room and they should have checked with us to see that we were alright. Then unable to get a print out due to computer rebooting.

    They put me in a handicap room that had molded carpet and apparent leakage from the shower. The parking was ok, but they were over booked, and I had to wait about 20 min for an associate to check me in ( I arrived late on a road trip). The associate was friendly and professional.     The pool area was fairly dirty with low stock of towels. The hot tub jets didnt work and hot tub was quite dirty and way too hot. Breakfast was decent. I do like the pre made omelets. But all juice was out and the pancake maker was out of service.

    We were disappointed with the lack of cleanliness around the hotel, especially in outdoor areas like the balcony. We were unable to use our balcony due to several neighbors smoking marijuana. Also, it was not safe to walk around the hotel at night due to the trash cans being rummaged through directly under our balcony by the houseless population. Sadly, I would not stay at this location again.
