We stayed here because mom was having brain surgery at the local Kaoser. The rooms were clean and quiet. The daily breakfast had many options and unlimited coffee throughout the day. Free parking! The staff was welcoming, helpful when we needed to prolong our stay, and thoughtful with handwritten notes. They are across from Harry's Hof Brau, which was a great place for dinner. Overall, we would definitely stay here again, just hope we don't have to.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and in a good location The staff was so rude! The guy checking me in was arguing with another lady checking in when I arrived. He was extremely rude to her as she kept her demeanor I recorded the whole thing.

This was the best breakfast from any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Lots of options. Eggs, bacon, hot fresh oatmeal, bagels, pancakes, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, coffee and more. Very impressed! And delicious too!

The people staying above us made so much noise from 10-12 midnight that I left the hotel and went back home 3 hours later the same night. So I didn't stay there.

Holiday Inn isn't my go to spot when it Redwood city; however, I'm not going to lie... I was surprised at how nice it was. The rooms were nice, I love that they use dove products for all your grooming needs. I didn't like the positioning of the shower head, i tried to adjust it, but it just didn't work for me. It could have just been user error. lol Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would stay again! I skipped on the breakfast only because I knew I was eating elsewhere.

Had such a great stay here while helping our daughter move from out of state. Check in was easy and staff was helpful and efficient. Parking area was great and free, so rare. Lovely ladies kept the breakfast area well stocked and clean, was so nice to wake up to each morning. Housekeeping staff was wonderful. Wonderful service by each and every staff member of this hotel. We we certainly stay again when we visit our daughter in the future!

I would have preferred a room closer to the elevator and when I asked, the manager stated he did not like to place guests near the street. As a result, my room was a long way down the hall and was difficult to get to.

This hotel serves a great selection for breakfast. There is coffee available all day on the second floor. The room we stayed in was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel is very old with outside corridors and very noisy. Room was clean, but needs lots of repair done. We went to their breakfast and they were out of everything. Wait for 10 minutes and they never replenish anything, had to checkout and go elsewhere to eat.

Place seems a bit outdated. The leather couch in our room was tearing apart. Housekeeping put lotion in the soap dispenser. But front desk was able to give me a bar soap for that. The blinds were not opaque that if I close it during the day, I would not know it would be daytime. But when I opened them at night, the streetlight and other building lights would be very glaring as it is. next to a Wendy's and other stores. I chose this location because of the proximity to the tournament site.

Everything was great! My King bed was super comfy and my room was clean. The free breakfast was eggs, sausage and other hot and cold options. Parking was free and the room rate was reasonable. I look forward to staying again!

The room itself was nice but the staff was not. I had one positive interaction with the staff at this location and the rest were all negative. There was also a promised full room cleaning after the third night and we never received a full room clean. The front desk also told me there was a crib charge which I later found out was not true, I don’t know what the at employee planned to do with the “crib charge” but it was very disappointing. Overall not a great experience and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Front desk checked my husband in for the first night and when I arrived on the next night they claimed they didn’t (but he had his room key and slept in the room) and had to use his credit card again. That didn’t make any sense to us.

An extra $200 hold was immediately put on our card on top of the room charge. The area ia not an ideal area. The back door of the hotel was frequently left open. As soon as we got to the 3rd floor, you could smell marijuana very strong. When we went into the room, the bench fabric was peeling off. There was also water damage by the window.

Checking in was really easy even though we came in really late in the morning the room was nice and had fridge and microwave and a welcome sign on table with room service and robot to bring snacks if you wanted we did not use that as vending machine was also walking distance from room. Very nice staff and breakfast was very good at different selections for everyone. All staff was nice.

However, I chose this hotel because it said one of the rooms came with a jetted tub. My fiancé and I were so excited and bought items for the jet tub experience. But when we got to the room, it was just a standard tub. We thought there was a mistake and went back down to the front desk. The manager said it was outdated on the hotels app and that they were sorry for the misunderstanding. Even though they refunded us $30 for the inconvenience, I was still extremely upset because we were looking forward to the jet tub. I did so much research and never had this happen until now.

There was a note for the previous guest on my bed when I checked in. Worried they never changed the sheets between guests. Didn't realize it wasn't for me till the 2nd morning!

I was very impressed with this hotel. Everything was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Service was amazing. They have a parking garage and free breakfast that was actually pretty good. Would definitely stay here again. Only anout a 4min drive to downtown Redwood City and plenty of stores around.

The biscuits and gravy were good but I miss the waffles. The coffee is awesome with all of the Coffeemate choices. I will be back next year.

It was very convenient for us. It was my wife’s 60th High School Reunion at Sequoia in Redwood City.

I stayed here on a recent trip and was thoroughly impressed. The entire property is immaculate, and my room provided the exact comfort I needed after a long day. The staff deserves special mention for being so efficient and friendly. A standout feature was the room itself; the art and design were a step above, making the space feel both modern and relaxing. It’s a reliable, comfortable, and welcoming hotel that I would happily book again.

First off, big thanks to the awesome Manager that accomodated my very early check in. Room was very, very clean, bed is so soft and comfortable. Love it that you also have a microwave! On the afternoon of the second day I couldn’t find my key in the 17 zippers of my backpack and purse so I slipped into the waiting area of the hotel. As I sat down my phone rang; it was AI charge inquiry from my bank. The desk clerk began badgering me for my name. I pointed to the phone and held up a finger for him to wait until I completed my call. He began raising his voice to tell me I had to be a registered guest to sit in my chair. I again pointed to my phone.. When I completed my call I gave him my name and sure enough I was a registered guest. I am 60+ lady, well groomed and clean. I am a Commercial Realtor coming from work. This guy needs a different job.

This establishment lacks basic services such as a computer and printer for check in and printing boarding passes. The breakfast was disappointing, as the food was the same every day without variety.

Unfortunately, my experience with this particular establishment was subpar. I have had excellent experiences with Holiday Inn Express before in other areas. So this review is based on comparisons to other properties. Prior to booking this reservation, I had called the property to find out what time the breakfast area opens and I was told 6:00 AM. So I made a reservation based on this time because my family needed to leave for their engagement at 6:20AM. When we got to he breakfast area at 6:15, the host told us they don’t open until 6:30. I asked politely if she could accommodate us and we would eat whatever they had available at the time such cold cereal, fruit, etc. She said ‘no’ and told me that is not her problem if they told us the wrong time. She ended the conversation as if I was her. she displayed no sense of professionalism. I don’t think she realized she’s in the customer service business.

Hotel lacked several amenities states on their property description. The staff was not friendly when asked for a complimentary item. Food was not good, very limited and stale. Water at the shower was not warm, and the drainage was poor.

Stayed here for a Coldplay concert and the room was great. The overall stay was great and easy. No complaints.

Reserved for two days through Hotels.com in the middle of the night from the Stanford ER due to a family emergency. At the time, I was expecting to stay two nights. When I checked in on the first day, I advised I wouldn't need the second day because my husband was being discharged. I was not able to cancel the second day without penalty. I tried to change the reservation, minutes after I made it and was not able to change without penalty. Cancelation policy too restrictive.

The stay is good. But the final bill I received is 10 dollars higher than the price when I booked the hotel. I would like the hotel to look into this issue.

They said that Wotif would be in touch to organise alternative accomodation (which was a disaster in itself). When asked why we were not notified earlier the receptionist said that he was notifying us now and that it was our bad luck. Absolute disgrace. Avoid this place.

There was nobody at the front desk when I arrived. I called the property with no answer. After. 10 minutes a manager came in. I quickly checked in. Key to room wouldn't work. Went back to front desk and got another key. That wouldn't work either. I forced the manager to come to the room up with a new key and it didn't work either. We went back to front desk where he changed room. I made him go to the room to open, and it worked. This is a $50 hotel going for over $200. I'd highly recommend you stay elsewhere.

My family and I stayed here for a medical trip to Stanford University. Overall the hotel was clean. Breakfast was a little meh, but it was free so I’m not complaining. Staff is super friendly and helpful, they did a good job at making my family and my stay as comfortable as possible. There are quite a few food choices around, with Wendy’s being right next door and Harry’s Hofbrau across the street. The area is a little run down and older but we felt safe inside the hotel. If we had to again we would stay again.

The room was fine. It is located on a major street and unfortunately I had a room closest to the street (likely because I booked through a 3rd party). The street noise was quite loud, even using a white noise app. Was difficult to sleep.

Breakfast wasn’t the best …

The property puts a $200 hold on your card and doesn’t want to refund it. I had to contest the charge both times I stayed there.

The only CON with our stay was the check-in. When we arrived at approximately 715ish pm to check-in, there was no one at the reception desk. We waited at least 20 mins before the receptionist came back. He apologized but did not explain why he was not present at the time. There were another couple waiting to check in as well. Its just not acceptable to leave the front desk unattended for that amount of time and who knows how long he was out before we even arrived.

This hotel is a real Gem! It's so nice to be able to stay near our daughter and have it not only be nice, but also affordable. I can't say enough about this hotel. It is very convenient to restaurants (Wendy's and Starbucks) and the breakfast that is served is delicious. We find this hotel to be a great value and we stay here often.

I booked a stay here because I was getting a surgery at Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center which is 10 minutes away. They have an elevator. Their hvac units have continuous fan mode that makes good white noise. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a pleasant, comfortable, and reasonably priced experience.
