We like staying at holiday inn.Express and part of that is due to the breakfast, which was very good. Two things notable were the carpet in our room hadn't been cleaned of little burrs, which I would step on from time to time. And also the shuttle back to the airport doesn't run until 9AM. That limits early flight times. Overall it was a good experience.

The Holiday Inn located in Reno is near the international airport. You'd think that it would be noisy because of all the planes flying out, but it isn't. The parking lot was pretty spacious, though there were a couple tweakers hanging outside. You also have to pay $5 daily. Ray who was running the front desk when we got there was very helpful. Due to my minor mobility issues, gave me a room on the first floor with a walk-in shower. The walking shower conveniently has an ADA compliant bar near the door for those who need help getting in and out. The beds were a little hard on my back. The TV itself took some learning to use, but you have plenty of channels to choose from. The reviews for the complimentary breakfast we're a little exaggerated. It was not the best hotel buffet in the area. You could have gone to Comfort Inn and experience the same type of spread. Though I'm thankful for the breakfast buffet, the selection wasn't great. The reviews for the complimentary buffet breakfast was the selling point for me staying here. There are guest bathrooms on the first floor. The men's bathroom has one toilet that is handicap accessible. That was convenient for me however the toilet seat was very wobbly and I was at risk of pinching my ball bag. There was also no soap in the dispensary. I let the front desk know about that Saturday and noticed Sunday nothing had changed. I do like that the toilet was a little higher up than the one in my hotel room. The staff were very helpful.

We regularly stay at Holiday Inn Express as we always know what to expect. Breakfast is terrific, & I always use the heated indoor pool. So, all good, & looking forward to the next time early next Month.

Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast is very beneficial when you're on the go. They do need to remove the picture of the jacuzzi that no longer exists on the property. We were set on sitting in a hot tub. But I highly recommend staying at this place because of how clean and well maintained it is.

Accessibility- It was about 10 min if you take the main street to RSCC. Some traffic but not as bad than being on the freeway. The location is very family friendly, quiet location tucked even if it’s off the freeway. Parking- Plenty of parking space especially when we had the late games til 10 pm. Breakfast- free breakfast buffet. Typical American style but still happy to have this option. Property - clean property. Though the exhaust was making a funny sound. The closet seemed a bit small and the beds did not seem like queen beds, size wise they looked more full-sized. I love the mini fridge and microwave in room. The mini fridge seemed bigger than the typical mini fridge. Amenities- we love the pool! Wished the water was a bit warmer, but my younger one still enjoyed it! Elevator access was quick. Did not get to use the self service laundry room but they had that option. Also loved the shuttle from the hotel to the RSCC. My husband also used the fitness room. Staff- they were hardworking, polite and prompt with inquiries.

Breakfast was fine. Room and bathroom were very good. Very clean. Ideally the hotel should have meals available beyond just breakfast. There are no restaurants nearby so there is no place to eat after breakfast except for a sparsely stocked snack bar.

The area was in an industrial part of town and not the best part of town! Parking was OK. The hotel staff was very good. We didn’t have any interaction with the housekeeping staff other than getting clean towels. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff was very accommodating. The only thing negative in the room was I didn’t have a very comfortable chair and there was no counter space in the bathroom.

Although I appreciate the free breakfast- the Greek yogurt and the recently updated coffee machines, some food items need improvement. The hard boiled eggs are low quality- pale yolks with barely any taste, the scrambled eggs and omelets are obviously not freshly made, and the apples mostly mealy, not fresh.

Noises, lights, over priced

Hotel was basic which we knew when I reserved it. Staff was very friendly. Shuttle from the airport was quick. Breakfast was good but the premade omelets were not very warm. For a quick stay in was what we expected

Very nice hotel with convenient parkings right behind the rooms. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool a lot. Facility is super clean and rooms are big and well equipped.

The staff was helpful at all times. Even maintenence was great for room issue. Staff was alert early morning while i waited on a taxi at 3 am for my 5 am flight.

It was okay. Overpriced for the area. Carpet in room had stains. The Holiday Inn Express at Santa Clara CA was excellent. This one was a little disappointing . At the parking lot, there was a truck parked with 2 men staring at me. They were there for along time. I had a few baggies to take with me and it took me 2 trips to go to my car. I hated it because I knew these men are there. It’s very annoying and creepy. I understand this is Reno but Holiday Inn express should put a camera around the facilities. Human trafficking is real. They need to make sure their visitors feel safe in the surroundings. I will never go back.

Very clean, comfortable bed, great shower!!! Not much to do in area without taking a cab. Staff was wonderful and love the airport shuttle they provide for free!! Breakfast also great!!

It is clean, Customer Service is ok. It is close to the airport but it’s the trucks that keep us awake very early morning. The a/c is difficult to adjust. It is reading the outside temp not inside the room temp, so it’s either too hot or too cold at night time. We did not had a good 2 nights sleep because of that. Breakfast buffet is good.

Property exceeded my expectations. Conveniently located 5mins away from airport. Staff was very friendly and arranged airport transportation quickly. Room was very clean and breakfast had a variety of selections.

Very small

I got in at midnight with my 2 year old and had to try 3 times to get the key to work (3 trips back to the desk) while my child was sleeping in his stroller. We couldn't get into the room and had to switch rooms, but the crib for my child was already in the locked room so I had to wait until they found another one for the new room. Resulting in my not getting to sleep until after 1am. That was a pretty disappointing check in process to say the least. The crib they supplied was small and creaky, I ended up moving my son to the bed in the morning anyways as every time he moved the creaks would wake him up. Otherwise things were fine.

I had a wonderful stay at this Holiday Inn Express Reno Airport by IHG! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The location is peaceful and safe, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. The hotel was also spotlessly clean, which really added to the comfort of my stay. Highly recommend!

The property was convenient and near the airport but very limited dining options (a decent taco restaurant in a strip mall a couple blocks away though!). Grounds were clean and well cared for. It’s hard to rate location good or great beyond average just for those limitations. If you have a car, not a problem and staff even dropped us at the VA for a memorial. Exceptional staff.

The hotel lost electricity and they don’t have backup generators. No made sense. It is a holiday not a motel

Wonderful hotel, no complaints, but I chose “pay at property” option and believe I was overcharged. I was too tired to figure out why I have $100 more charged for room than hotel.com quoted me.

The hotel was very well kept and accomodations were excellent.

The surrounding area does not match up with the hotel. The hotel is clean. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was the indoor pool was not heated.

The lady who checked us in was NOT very appealing in attitude. The hotel was very nice and clean. My main issue was the bed was not comfortable for me. My husband slept like a rock tho.

The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is ample and varied. I have had no complaints until last week at the hotel when I learned of the new $5 daily parking fee. $5 may not be a large amount, but it offends me that management has added a hidden cost onto my bill. This is not New York City where parking is scarce and there has been no added security in the lot to justify the fee.

The bee was too soft. The breakfast hour are short. Parking doesn't seem safe even though nothing happen to the vehicle. Usb ports not working. Lights are not bright.

Better than average business convenience hotel. The facilities are nice. The beds are really nice. And the breakfast was a cut above the typical free breakfast in a hotel. Downside is that there is really no option for dining that you can walk to.

Chose this over other places so the kids could swim. The pool was cloudy and dirty, no swimming for us and disappointed kids. Pretty sure there was vomit on the floor in our room that wasn’t properly cleaned (still chunks) and black hair all over the sheets in the pull out couch (which is as also very poor quality and not fit for even a kid to sleep on) We usually pick Hokiday Inn Express because we know it will be a good/safe stay….will not stay at this one again.

The worst experience and the most unsafe I have ever felt staying a hotel. The staff created a very unsafe situation for myself and my guest. Then they took no accountability for what occurred. Minimizing how truly unsafe conditions were and that was also created by the staff there.

Overall great experience

The room was fine, bed was fine and the breakfast was fine. However: Holiday Inn Express charged my credit card $335.50 as a security deposit. My room was fully paid by Expedia so this security charge should have been refunded. But it has not been. I have called Holiday twice to get this straightened out. The first time the front desk clerk said it should have been removed after 2 or 3 days. But it has now been a week and I called again to find out what was happening. The front desk could not help me and I was told to call again when the manager was there. In addition to that, there was a $20 charge for parking ($5 per day). That was not noted when I booked the room. I really do not like these "junk" fees that are added on by the property. All in all this billing problem has made this a very unpleasant experience.

Our room was dirty the bathroom sink had a bloody booger in it and the bathroom floor was dirty with some hair and dirt. There was a stain on the carpet. The view out our window was a wall next door.

I would likely stay there again. The people were nice, and the breakfast was good. The bed was a bit too hard for my liking. The negative is the lack of restaurants in the area. Each night, I had to walk a mile (which I didn't mind because of the nice weather) to find a good restaurant.

Convenient, clean and safe place to stay

The only problem we had was that the guest in the room above must have had an early flight and showered at 4 AM. It was quite loud and woke me up, but that was probably an unusual event.

Decent stay in a real dirty city.

Our check in experience was not a pleasant one. You’d think customer service would be better since it’s such a tourist-centered city. The desk clerk was not friendly or even very helpful. All of the clerks we saw during our stay were women and none of them seemed happy to be working there. None were cheerful or pleasant any of the times we passed by. Our key didn’t work the second day of our two day stay and there was no apology when we had to go back down to get new keys. Instead they accused us of putting the key next to our phones. Sure strange that each of us had a key and that both keys failed to work. Sounds more like someone didn’t program the keys right for use on the second day. The room was great though and we did enjoy it, as well as the breakfast buffet. Train your desk clerks to be pleasant and helpful.

Room was very updated. Everything was clean and organized. The bathroom was loaded with dove products with decent coffee inside the room. Definitely will be our go to location when in Reno. Excellent breakfast menu for adults and kids. Great Job to the management and staff at this location 👍
