Travelodge by Wyndham Savannah Area/Richmond Hill

The room was very clean but the pool was not open like they advertised. It has been under maintenance for a long time. The tub had a poorly patched hole in the bottom, no ice bucket, and even though they said they had continental breakfast they literally didn’t have anything aside from stale cereal. Our experience was so terrible, we left a day early. I have never experienced something like this. Not to mention, I came here so I could walk for graduation and booked months in advance. I’d never go back unless they completely remodeled and fixed the issue with breakfast and actually had a pool that was ready to swim in. This is completely uncalled for.

Not very good repairs to the bathroom. Peeling paint in the bathroom- toilet was very low to the ground and clogged extremely easily- was just okay really.

The bathroom door was horrible looks like someone’s big dog got a hold of it from the inside, the main door was messed up the ice container had a large crack thank goodness we had a cooler the back of the remote was missing the toilet seat was about to fall off and it was to much noise around the place.

The room smelled like a potting zoo, I've never complained about hotel rooms unless they had bugs or were obviously very nasty. This room smelled AWFUL. Like literal pigs and goats stayed previously.

Check-in easy, staff is good, room was OK. We could clarify everything at check-in. It was small breakfast with waffles for kids was very good. I'm always complaining and I hope somebody will hear sometimes: I'm indicating we are 4 so we need 4 towel sets. Never there at any location. Luckily at check-in asked, staff helped me, all good. Lights could be better placed (or connected) - entering in darkness was difficult as the main light at entrance was off from plug.

Absoulely nothing. Booked it on booking. Com as a party of 5 and got there they tried charging me for another adult. People were leaving because room were dirty. Couldn't understand the front door desk redeposit. I never got my money back and never stayed there

It wasn't the most clean hotel and there had been renovations but they were completed poorly. The hair dryer wouldn't turn off and it was stuck on "high", the toilet didn't flush properly and was very low, and the carpet was dirty.

The gentleman behind the desk was very friendly, the only high point of my 10 minute stay I got into the room and it absolutely stunk of urine and animal dander. I didn't even put my stuff down being I didn't want my clothes to pick up the smell. I immediately booked a room at a place down the street and walked out. The man behind the desk saw me as I was walking out and told me I had said I was OK with a smoking room and he apologized. This was not a smoke smell, there had definitely been animals staying in that room for a long period of time before my stay. He did offer me another room and was friendly and tried to be accommodating but I wasn't having it and left for the other room I had booked.

For a cheap roadside motel, this one was perfectly fine. Neighborhood didn’t feel sketchy. It’s another ordinary motel right off the interstate.

I tried to cancel this reservation 3 times but they still charged me for the first night. I was within the cancelation period.

Convenient location The room was dirty upon arrival. The shower was never warm. The room looked like it was quickly refinished and had holes and loose tiles in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom would not latch closed for any privacy. The sofa cushion was worn down and uncomfortable.

Every thing was as expected so no complaints.

The room rates is the only reason I stay there, the staff are rude. Service was poor, towels were dirty and I think they sell iur information I caught a fraudulent charge on my card and the only place I used my card was there in the past week

Cheapest hotel ever and better than hotels two and three times the price. You can tell some of the rooms are a bit older. But in the areas that should be filthy, it is actually clean with no residue or signs of any insects whatsoever,l. Very impressed!

The staff was truly amazing and helpful and the beds were so comfortable. But the shower needs a little bit of care.

Kept getting random brown streaks on body and personal items such as blankets. Toilet didnt flush right. Room furniture was questionable pool was closed for no reason seen. Dog was biten by snake and manager was beating snake with stick.... breakfast was stale cereal and waffles that wouldnt cook all the way threw. And the ceiling was bubbling inside down tword floor.

Also, the “free breakfast” is 2 cereal options next to the front desk with a coffee pot that’s seen better days. And they have a stocked drink cooler but everything costs a dollar more then it does at a typical gas station (a small can of Dr Pepper was $3, can from the store are at most $1.50) I’m currently waiting on my refund for the nights we didn’t stay

Absolutely terrible experience. The room was dirty and clearly not cleaned properly. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Found evidence of bed bugs and even signs of drug activity on the property. Would never stay here again.

For the under $100 a night rooms this was on par. Beds were clean and had plenty of pillows/sheets. Bathroom was semi-updated (newer sink) but toilet (older and very low) and shower tub need some tlc. Ac unit was either broken or locked as cool temp could not be adjusted from 74 degrees or heat from 68 degrees. Drapes did not fully close so a towel was used to block out the bright outside lighting. Outside of building was well lit - security cameras were plentiful. Parking lot was flooded due to recent rains but was drained by morning. Washer and dryer onsite work well. Ice machine was in an outside (covered) area and was dispensing but I was unsure on cleanliness (mold/dirt) due to it being in an uncontrolled temperature environment and exposed to prevailing winds. Area around hotel is not fantastic with closed businesses and overgrown properties. It was noticed that possible long term stays were placed into the back of the property and had a lot of loitering occurring.

The toilet seat sat to low. It was difficult getting in and out of the shower 🚿. Recommend installing safety bars in the tub/shower. I don't know if it was available, all I had requested a handicapped accessible room, I didn't receive one

The staff were really nice! However, this hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures. The smell is HORRIBLE and the amount of work needing to be done is ridiculous. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you’re traveling with children.

Well there was roaches in our room we had to go get it switched and they were being weird about us wanting to switch.

The staff needs to be educated that you can’t ask a person with a service animal for a card. According to the ada you can only ask 2 questions. The guy at the desk was nice. The room was big however the beds & bathroom sink are extremely high. The room was in good condition except the bathroom. There was mold around the bathtub & hair in the drain.

I reserved a smoking room upon arrival was told there were no available smoking rooms we reserved a rollaway bed was told that we didn’t the bed was uncomfortable kept rolling off like it was an air mattress and the tv was stuck on Cartoon Network all night

The Travelodge was filthy and don’t think was cleaned prior to stay. The beds were like bottomless pits due to the center pits in the mattresses. The people wandering around outside were obviously on drugs and it felt very unsafe. The police showed up as well.

Room needs to be remodeled the room we was in was like a wet room. Everything stayed moist. It was moist the hotel we was there. I took a shower in the shower. Stay cut the bathroom wet our entire day as well as the carpet in the living room. It seems like they have a leak somewhere.

The room overall was fine, but it was puzzling to discover that there was nowhere to put our clothes. There was a hanging rack available, but there was no dresser in the room. My husband wound up putting clothes on the small shelf of the TV stand, and I put mine in the drawer of the nightstand. The beds were comfortable enough. The water temp in the shower was a bit inconsistent, but nothing that really warranted attention. The main thing about the shower that concerned us was that the tub floor was VERY slippery. There were no non-slip grips on the floor of the tub, and no grab bar. My husband is barely a year out from a hip replacement, and I have some mobility issues, so a fall could potentially have been serious for either of us. The shower curtain rod was one that curves outward, and the curtain would not stay all the way extended across the bar, which caused water to get on the floor of the bathroom. The AC unit worked very well for heat and air. The gentlemen who checked us in and out were both very nice, and they were very good about refunding us for the last night of our booking, as we headed home a day early. We would definitely consider staying there again, but we do need to be more cognizant of the safety aspects of the bathroom, and there does need to be a dedicated place for clothes.

Close to the highway

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very small, very old and not very well updated. It was just a stop over for one night while traveling and was sufficient for that. I would not recommend it for anything other than that.

Over night 🌙 getaway. Savanah is the spot. Not far from Florida, and downtown is lit. This Travelodge is not from there. Rooms an Restrooms are clean.

Honestly, one of the best values in a motel I've ever found. $50 stay and a $10 pet fee. Immediately next to 95. The heater for the room was weak so I had to crank it up and leave for about an hour for the room to warm up. Breakfast was coffee, 2 cereals to choose from, and a waffle iron with mix, thats it. Front desk guy was very nice and the room was very well cleaned. Dont expect anything luxurious but if you just need a place to crash on a road trip with your dog, cant really beat this. Theres a lot of dining options around but EVERYTHING closes at 10pm, so after that youre stuck with dominoes, mcdonalds, taco bell, etc. I'll definitely be back on my next road trip because I'm all about that VALUE baby.

Horrible, horrible horrible. I booked this room through Hotels.com. The hotel looked really really nice In the Hotels.com app. We walked into the room after check-in and it smelled so moldy and bad! There was a hole in the wall. It was as far away from the truth as it could possibly be!! the pictures for the hotel and the rooms must’ve been from when it was first built. There was obviously no upkeep on that hotel! and it was very, very bad. We tried to leave right away and they would not give us our money back so I lost my key cash and there would be no refund on our credit card.

the room had a bathtub which was unusable because the handle to switch from shower to bath was corroded and stuck in the shower position. Otherwise it was excellent; I especially appreciated the waffles for breakfast.

For our travel purposes this was a great stay right off the highway. We were travelling through and just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. The price was great, and we feel like we got what we paid for an are happy with our stay. Cons: When the bathroom fan was on (automatically turns on when the light goes on) the air smelled like marijuana and cigarettes, but only when the fan was running. The carpets were sticky and bathroom grout was dirty. Breakfast was lacking.

The property is very dated, bordering on shabby but clean and neat. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was bare bones. Great tv to watch the game. You get what you pay for and at this price point it was.

This hotel is ome of the worst I have ever stayed at. They gave me a room with a dirty toilet, a squeaky bed, and a broken door latch. The door was hanging open when i woke up. They did give me a different room for the 2nd night but, due to the location directly next to the interstate, it was very noisy and it was hard to get into the parking lot. It was really hard to sleep there. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Very good place to stay when traveling.

Very basic place. Had to reserve here due to a hurricane evacuation. This property needs a lot of help. Perhaps the owners don't have money to fix it up. The pool was green, tarp cover was halfway over it, slimy looking.

The bathtub was patched by bondo that was so rough that it would have cut out feet, even if we took a shower. The TV didn't work. The inside lock was hanging from 1 screw. Needs major renovations. Disappointed of a Travelodge. They use to be a nice motel change.😞

Part of the eating area in the lobby was messy and cluttered with what looked like supplies, a cooler, and other stuff. The staff person at check in was helpful, but other desk staff were difficult to understand.

I made a reservation and paid for a king size bed/room and once I arrived at the property they didn’t have the room for my reservation.

This place was scary to stay at there was a roach infestation fist holes in the walls and a horrible smell. The picture of the location is different from the actual place. I will advise that people do not stay at this location.

The rooms were clean but it is an old motel that appears to have undergone low-budget renovations. The light over the mirror in the bathroom did not work. Little attention given to important details, such as no washcloths left in the room. Ice machine not functional. Overall in rundown condition, so is the parking lot. If a visitor is sleeping and leaving, it will do.

This place was just not finished. It was clean in the room but I was appalled at the cleanliness of the breakfast room. The front desk clerk was sitting down, on his phne as I came in. The counter was filthy. It would have taken 5 minutes or less to take a cloth and wipe thee counter down. Very disappointing. I was afraid to eat the breakfast. The room was a hodge podge of furniture that looked like it was bought from a rummage sale and thrown together. Nothing matched. The furniture didn't fit together. The bed was made and very comfortable and clean. Rusty fixtures in the eshower.

The floor/carpet was so dirty my white socks were almost black and there was only one channel available on the TV. As a side note, I did not complain about the TV to the front desk. The person at the desk was friendly so I assume it would have been addressed.

Had to complain about the a/c then at midnight they decided to change the a/c unit.it still didnt cool down the room so the next day had to argue with the manager about changing rooms and had to accept a room that wasnt a king bed had to take a double bed room full size beds still the a/c wasnt great the microwave didnt work the pool was a kid size pool with no shade and the breakfast consisted of waffle and toast with no condiments to go with them

This hotel and rooms look nothing like the pictures on Hotels.com. Color is totally different (dull grey) and the rooms are not carpeted in addition they are extremely dirty. Bathroom was a total dated disaster and the bathtub had a huge cracked & repaired area. It was truly the most horrific hotel room that I have ever booked. Roaches everywhere, trash all over the parking lot. Truly a disaster, avoid this place at all costs unless you like staying in crack houses.

We paid for two beds and got one bed and one head board lamp shade had mildew i requested my money back but since I booked through Expedia i couldn't get a refund so me and my family left didn't stay filthy conditions Expedia should be ashamed to be associated with that place

The carpet was torn in several places. The bathtub was dirty. The toilet would not flush all the way. There were signs of bedbugs, the little black marks they leave. No bugs were seen though. The children running all through the night above us and the people beside us smoking weed made the blatant worse. Breakfast was pitiful.

It was a little unusual, the room was OK and it was clean, the lighting was poor. I had to go get two lightbulbs to add to the lamps very unusual. There’s no phone in the room. We booked it for three adults and two children for two nights, and we were only given two bath towels, two hand towels, and two washcloths. no coffee maker in the room and no phone made me feel a little uncomfortable. Overall, we slept well. The staff was very friendly. They helped us. Make sure the TV would work with the remote. They got it programmed for us. Bonus the pool was very clean and warm .

Check in was quick and easy. The gentlemen at the desk were courteous and friendly. Tho I did not use the pool this time around it was very clean and easily accessible. I’ve stayed at this hotel previously a few times as well and as of now will always use this hotel when I come to Savannah

Not clean. Toilet was broken at the bottom and i assumed the sewer smell was coming from that. The tub over tub did not fit and was really tall to step over, did not reach the floor, and was not fitted to the tub surrond. No hot water. The breakfast consisted of a dirty waffle maker, two cereal bins, 4 slices of bread sitting unwrapped on a rack. Coffee was terrible. Worst offering i have ever seen at a motel/hotel offering breakfast. The whole room smelled but at least the beds were clean and no bedbugs. If we hadnt been so road weary, we wouldnt have stayed. I wouldnt recommend this place to any one.
