The room was clean. It was an excellent breakfast-so much to chooce from. Accessible parking. It was a great stay. Would come back again.

At first I thought wow this property is very clean. Now took a nice shower ate some dinner watched TV and fell asleep. It wasn’t till I went to go out my socks on I noticed that the bottom of my feet were dirty. I know I didn’t walk anywhere while I was sleeping. I instantly got an attitude. I took 2 pics and went and washed my feet again. To sum it up those carpets or tiles are filthy and need to be cleaned a lot better than they are. My feet should not be dirty the next morning after taking a shower. This made my whole stay sour. This cleaning needs to be done

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk attendant. Our room was clean and quiet and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast area was well attended, clean and stocked full of meats, eggs, a selection of cereals and bakery items and a fresh made pancake service. I would highly recommend this location for the quality stay and pricing.

Hugely overpriced for Graduation weekend

I didn't know I would have to pay a $100 deposit for something. It made me short of money and I didn't get to go places I wanted to because. They need to let people know ahead of time.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff that we encountered was polite and helpful. The room was inviting and clean, the bedding comfortable and the amenities were good.

It was close to everything. And it would be perfect if your attending something at the Bergland Center. Your right across the road from it. Outstanding property! Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of room and comfortable bed and pillows. Nice chaise lounge to recline and stretch out your legs after a long day of travel. Nice to have a hot breakfast with eggs and breakfast sausage or bacon. Also enjoyed the Oikos yogurt.

The room was amazing and clean, the breakfast was filling and great variety. Our only complaint is the incidental fee of $100. Yes it is refundable but it is not posted anywhere or through the booking under fees. So it was a surprise that this was owed. Then it was to be refunded at checkout and we haven't seen that as of yet.

The front desk staff were very nice. Room was clean. Very close to event center and shares parking lot with both Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks.

From check in to checkout it was a great experience. The room was very clean and the bed and linens were very comfortable. The shower products provided were very nice. We had a microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast was plentiful and hot. There is an outside lounge area with fire pit which was unexpected. There is a fence around part of the property to block the view of the brick buildings. There are plants and trees so it felt private and secure. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again. No complaints. The location looked a bit sketchy upon approaching from the highway but once at the hotel it was very nice.

Everything was clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. We needed an additional blanket and got it immediately. My son had a nosebleed during breakfast and without even asking for help one of the staff immediately brought ice and napkins. It says “saltwater pool” so we thought it would be no or little chlorine, but it was still with a lot of chlorine. The kids still enjoyed it a lot.

The front desk was amazing. The day we were leaving we still had 2 hours until check out and my husband was taking things to the car while I was still getting ready for the day and housekeeping asked him as soon as he stepped out of the room if we were checking out yet.

hotel cancelled reservation stated i live less than 60 miles away and refused to let me keep my reservation made online. i spoke with manager and states these are the rules. i have worked with many rules but definitely do not understand this one. my miles away from hotel us 56 miles. would love to speak to someone that cares

Our rooms was cancelled by personnel before we arrived. We had reserve at another hotel. We were and we confirmed our arrival and even after we confirmed they decided to cancel our rooms by management. It was the worst service we have ever encountered. It was a total of 3 king size rooms.

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and were promptly taken care of. Our room was very nice, exactly as expected. The room and entire hotel were impeccably clean. Our room included free breakfast which was very good and was a plus when traveling with 2 teenagers! The hotel was conveniently located off the highway and 2 blocks from downtown Roanoke, which allowed us to enjoy dinner in the happening vibe of Roanoke. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel staff are nice but I asked for quiet room and they put me in a room facing the really loud road. This is a very busy road all night. 6 am gets really loud. Two roads actually. Did not sleep past 6. Was very unhappy. I bet the other side is ok but when you ask for quiet and they don’t realize the road is not quiet it’s not helpful.

The hotel is good. If you're like me, you read Civic Center and thought it was a little closer to Downtown and where the action is.....it is not. The downtown and all the restaurants and bars are a mile away and it's an unfriendly walk along a very busy road to get there. The free breakfast was quite good though and the hotel is fine, so if you're not interested in walking to shops and restaurants it could be a good option.\

We stayed here on 7/17 on our trip south. Check in was a breeze , reservations were made in advance. No changes in price , no surprises. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean , plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfast was good and had many choices. Check out was as simple as dropping the room cards off. Can recommend.

Room very comfortable, but the complimentary breakfast was not good. The scrambled eggs were brown on the bottom and the fresh fruit was anything but. The bananas were so bad, they look like they had been in a battle. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, I was apologized to but told “yeah we get them from Walmart.”For guests that does not eat a lot of processed foods, fresh fruit is the only option when you stay in a hotel. Very disappointed.

Check in is at 3 PM. I get there at 2:30 and I'm told my room will be ready in 15 minutes. I give them 30 minutes and go back to the desk. I'm told it's still not ready. I have an event to be at at 5PM. I finally get checked into a room at 4PM. No, I'm sorry for your wait, let us make this up to you. Nothing! The shower had a long black hair on the shower wall. Holiday Inn Express is usually top notch. This one wasn't.

Not in the best area for starters. Front desk staff at checkin was very rude and had comments to stay about members checking in. Refused to offer any assistance with questions about extra charges. Expedia nor this Hotel mentioned there was going to be an extra $191 hold on your card before checking in and also no where did it mention you would have a $50 charge also added. For two nights/king beds our Expedia total was $398. Upon arrival the $191 was being held on our card plus the $50 plus the $398 for a grand total at checkin/day of $639. That’s a $241 difference then what we were expecting to pay/be charged. That’s outrageous for a mediocre hotel at best. Minimal breakfast options, AC unit was nothing short of overbearingly loud, bugs were located in our room, rock hard bed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Most of all how unfriendly the staff were from start to finish. Check in process/check out process was awful! I will be following up with management. Take my advice for the amount you’d pay at this awful hotel, just use that money on a much better hotel that’s worth it!

The hotel needs to examine this policy. This property is in a very medical area. There are many who have to travel to this area for medical care such as seeing a specialists and having surgeries from surrounding areas. This is a bad policy for anyone seeking care.
