I arrived early from a redeye flight. The staff literally got me the 1st suite available within an hour. Thank you so much for the best hotel in Rochester!

Had breakfast twice and room service dinner once. Solid. Used the gym, which was very well appointed and empty on a Saturday afternoon. Most outstanding feature of the Strathallan is the staff. Excellent. Will definitely return.

Two elevators for staff and guests made for delays

Really good space and large with friendly staff. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing. The flavours of the avocado toast was rather mismatched and did not go together.

Staff great. Room lovely and spacious. Overall good. Couch a little hard/uncomfortable. Hard to keep water in shower and off floor of bathroom but when we asked for extra towels they brought plenty. I’d go back.

I would recommend and stay at this hotel again and again. It’s rare to find a clean, friendly and proper place in this price range and this property blew me away! I highly recommend!

Clean room and friendly staff. Beds were pretty stiff and uncomfortable. Parking was challenging at night because hotel restaurant/bar was very popular.

Everything was great with the exception that there was so much construction going on in the lobby and front entrance that it was a bit chaotic during this time.

Super comfortable bed and pillows! Room was immaculate, except for corners of the shower. I wish the wall between bathroom and bed had better soundproofing. The bar was hopping when we arrived at 10pm - Luckily our room was nowhere near and so we didn’t hear anything.

Very clean, efficient place to stay. The bar is Lu key and the breakfasts are superb.

Newly refreshed hotel was top notch. Very nice large rooms. Had a superb dinner at hotel’s Char restaurant. Highly recommend and will be back.

We ordered omlettes for room service and they came fast and were delicious. The staff also gave us a bunch of free water bottles. The free parking and the location are really great as well. I really didn't like the synthetic scents being pumped into them and believe the management should consider removing synthetic fragrances as it activates allergies and is not good for health.

If I had any complaint it was the lack of water pressure in the shower but other than that, first class all of the way.

Having stayed there before, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find a newly remodeled and upgraded facility. Cleaner, open, modern floor plans. The weight room was on par with my gym membership equipment. Rooms appeared larger without losing any amenities. Albeit there was a lot of morning noise outside due to the winter storm clean up and some final construction removal. This was temporary and the majority of my stay was comfortable and relaxing.

This is a beautiful part of Rochester. many restaurants/cafes within a moderate walking distance. (say up to a mile)

It’s quite pricy. I stayed for 3 nights and with incidental charges (the charge prior to seeing how you leave the hotel room) it was 1k.

Clean room, staff are amazing, bar is excellent. They are currently renovating the building, so some of the main entrances are closed and the elevators are always full.

This hotel is under construction, no lobby, workers all over the hotel and clogging up the parking and unloading area. Management indifferent. Staying at a construction site, with no prior notice to guests or discount to rooms.

Staff was nice and helpful but the hallways smelt musty.

Room was large and spotless. Great bar and restaurant. The staff is AMAZING!

We had dinner there and a few things. The price of the meals are extremely high, ie: pork chop was $46 which included no sides. The pork chop came out very under cooked, however the chef corrected and was very tasty. And the waitress Glacy (who was very fun to banter with!), made it right with a complimentary beer and dessert (which was very good). We would not eat there again onky because of the price, but again Service was excellent and the chef is talented. Overall, 8/10!

The lobby, however, is bright and welcoming, as is the staff. The lobby bar is terrific. I can only hope that the transition from DoubleTree by Hilton to Tapestry by Hilton is done swiftly. For now, the rates for rooms here are outrageous considering the condition of the rooms.

The only complaint that I have is that the bath towels were like sand paper. They need to buy some new towels. Otherwise, everything was great. Staff was welcoming, warm & helpful. Room was great - clean and bedding was cozy and comfortable.

I always love staying at Strathallan! The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and I’m obsessed with the views from Hattie’s. I stayed here for my birthday, and it was easy to access all the places we wanted to visit.

My two-night stay was excellent. I appreciated the text message check in from the front desk asking how my stay has been and if I needed anything to make my stay better. My room was clean, the only thing that was a little inconvenient was the fact that my microwave was unplugged and I had to uncomfortably reach over and behind the writing desk and tv dresser stand to reach the power cord to plug it back in.

Thursday night, I couldn't get my laptop to connect to the hotel WiFi but the bartender that night saved me and got it done! This was my 2nd stay in as many months and looking forward to our next visit!.

We were visiting our son who lives near by. Its very conveniently located with many restaurants within walking distance. The staff was great.

Old and tired to describe the carpeting, elevators, etc. is an understatement. Had to travel 9 hours the day I checked out without a shower because there was no water. It wasn’t a municipal issue. That should never happen. With the amount I paid for my room, I’d think there could be a more robust maintenance program.

The property was great. But Expedia dropped the ball. They did not share the change in the date for my arrival.

Great place to stay!

Although major updates are needed, such as new carpet, balcony doors, and the pull-out sofa, some of the staff were very kind. Which made for a desirable stay.

To never book a hotel room at the Strathallen Hotel again and share my negative experience with my family and friends to prevent them from disappointment, very disappointing for your brand.

I recently stayed at the Strathallan Hotel and had a great experience overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was with a buffet offering and the added flexibility of ordering from a menu.

The Strathallen Rochester is a nice hotel BUT it is looking a little "tired". I noticed several items of deferred maintenance.

Great place to stay. Location is great - right in the city. Walking distance to bars, coffee shops, and other venues. Rooftop bar was nice and had great drinks.

Convenient location. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping staff were friendly and willing to provide services (additional towels) when requested. Restaurant was very good. All staff members were friendly and helpful!

1. Don’t travel with an animal. There is video proof the hotel has when I entered and exited the building. 2. I haven’t smoked in my 37 years of living. I left the room immaculate like I always do when leaving a hotel. I travel all the time not once have a hotel charged me for fake incidentals. Be aware when staying here. I even took pictures upon checking out.

We had a nice stay! Very walkable. The only issue was our bathroom shower had to be cleaned by their cleaing service when we came in on a late flight past midnight and then the room smelled like bleach.

I believe the hotel will undergo renovations now that it is owned by Hilton. The rooms need updated furniture, especially the couch in our 1-bdrm suite. It was old and uncomfortable. The AC unit is the old loud kind. Otherwise the room was good. The location of the Strathallan is perfect and the rooftop bar is a great place to catch the sunset over the city scape… great views and plenty of seating. The martinis are excellent too! The breakfast was perfect!

The roof-top lounge is worth a visit, and the restaurant food is high quality and well presented. It still feels pricey for what it is, but not too pricey. The staff is generally excellent, and overall I had a positive experience. That said, I had a few very negative interactions with one or two of the more senior and older/mature looking members of the staff. They were consistently gruff, came across as rude, and borderline unprofessional. Their behaviour compares very poorly to the rest of the crew. Since they're still employed, I assume they are the hotel management. I didn't ask. One particularly poor experience was when I called down to ask about late checkout. For context, I was in an "accessibility" room. I have some mobility issues, and this is a room designed to be more comfortable for people like me. I called at 11:10, and was told to vacate by 11:30. The call was handled by what I assume is a manager. I met him again on the way out - he was running the reception at the time. Thinking that the 20 minute deadline is some sort of gaffe or mistake, I made the mistake of checking. I asked if this is standard hotel policy or some kind of emergency. He made it clear to me that it's not an emergency, not hotel policy, and that he didn't appreciate being called out like this in front of other guests. Barely-contained rude and unprofessional.

Your a tourist and want location as a priority for your stay, this hotel could not be better in Rochester. Modern and in great condition, you can rest on a firm after walking the nostaligic neighborhood full of museums and good restaraunts.

This hotel is beautiful and what a great staff. Gwen was so helpful and informative. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Love the balcony! The staff welcomes you in and the cookies are a great idea as we arrived after a 7 hour drive. Hotel also has a great restaurant. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and many places to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Easy to walk to museums and dining options and cute shops. Easy drive to highway to get to other areas; very convenient location.

The rooms are nice and the bathrooms / showers are very spacious. The staff is very helpful and I wpuld recommend this to any one of my friends / family coming into town. The steakhouse down stairs has phenomenal steaks and this place has a bar on the 9th floor too which is awesome. Drew and Thomas were great with us.

The staff was helpful and delightful! The room wqs clean and the bed comfortable and the bathroom luxurious! The rooftop bar is not as big or with as many seating options as you might imagine but the views are great! There are many good dining options within a ten-minute walk. I highly recommend “the Strath,” as the locals call it!

Beautiful property. Very large room and bathroom. Location is perfect for accessing everything in Rochester. Very accommodating front desk staff. Free parking!

The lack of sufficient outlets in the room was disappointing. My room only had 1 outlet by the bedside and one plug was for the light. Most people have other things to plug in besides just a phone. I had to unplug the light to use my heating pad. There was a lack of lighting in the room especially since I had to unplug the bedside lamp. I was disappointed that the beautiful staircase that is shown in photos on various social media sites for the Strathallan was not located at the hotel. That staircase is actually at the spa across the street. The staff we encountered were very professional and friendly. Overall it was a good visit.

All in all a lovely experience. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is conveniently located to downtown Rochester. A big issue was they discontinued having coffee available in the mornings in the lobby (they had it for years). If forces you to go to the restaurant to purchase. This is very unlike other hotels. The furniture is starting to become fairly worn and outdated Also uncomfortable.

Great check in. Staff always super friendly and willing to check for you on anything you need. Food and Bar service was excellent as always. Shout out to Christina who is always ready to server me a drink and a burger after a long day working.

Check-in was fast and easy. Staff was nice. Received a text message a few minutes after check-in asking how the room was and whether I needed anything to make my stay more pleasurable. The room (suite) was large, clean and the king size bed was comfortable. My only complaint was it appeared I had to sign up for a Hilton Honors account before I could use the free WiFi. Other than that, everything was perfect!
