Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland

The reviews on this property are very misleading. We found that our rooms were very clean and no cigarette smell. The staff was very friendly and helpful at checking, which didn’t take long for a Friday night. The gaming area does allow for guests to smoke, but the cigarette smell wasn’t very powerful. I would highly recommend to anyone driving through and needing a break. Plenty of dining options and reasonable room rates.

The room was nice, with plenty of outlets. It had a Keurig with a few pods. Only issue was it's very dark, with dark colored walls. Otherwise, the decor was very pleasing. Breakfast options were very limited and pricey.

I pre-paid at Expedia but was charged again at the Motel. We only stayed for one night at the motel so it was no big deal, just a suprise when i looked at my credit card bill. l'm trying to get a refund. Everything else was first class!

Clean and roomy rooms, kids loved the pool, and games were fun. Did not like the smoking on the gaming floor, irritated my sinuses. Great shower and loved that the toilet was its own space.

The fitness center . Only a treadmill and recumbent bike.The cash Kiosk was incredibly slow. The amount of housekeepers yelling and banging on doors early am sounds like Police raid. Didn’t give the other guest time to open the door. 😂 hearing the guest yelling & responding to them walking in was priceless.Make sure you use your door blocker. Infants in the pool with no swim diapers.

Great environment everybody was having great time

My only gripe was the casino machines. They were extremely consistent… at taking my money lol. I’m still waiting for them to return the favor. Jokes aside, that has more to do with my luck than the hotel itself. Overall, a great stay and a property I would highly recommend.

This hotel is one of the cleanest we have ever stayed at. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub are absolutely wonderful! The hot tub is huge!

Quick and easy check-in and out. Very clean and friendly staff. Since the bedroom didn't have doors, having a way to block out the morning light from the window would have been nice.

The buffet was amazing at a 2 for 1 price. We don't normally eat at buffets because we don't feel like we get a good value but for 2 people it was under $30. We did not like the cigarette smoke inside the casino. It was so thiynk in places that we had to completely avoid those areas

The hotel stay was excellent. Clean, comfortable, and affordable.

This large hotel only had two luggage carts. When we arrived they were all in use. We waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes. I asked for a manager and took a seat. A woman arrived and stood around the desk, not seeming to have a goal. Finally I asked if she was the manager. By this time my husband had gone to the parking garage and found a cart and the other patron returned the second cart. I asked the manager if she could compensate us for our long wait, possibly a buy one get one at one of their three restaurants. She said she couldn't do anything because I wasn't a member. Obviously I'm not a member because I am from out of state. I asked if she could refund a few dollars off our room. She said she couldn't do that. All she could do was apologize. I finally asked if we could keep the ice packs from our coolers in one of the freezers there because the small room fridge didn't have a freezer compartment. She took my room number and said she would check and get back with me about the ice packs but she never called my room. I felt it was really terrible customer service and I feel that they need more luggage carts.

The room was great. It was clean with plenty of room. The bathroom was lovely and re-done. When I arrived the front desk attendant was on break and there was no-one to check me in for about 20 min. Other than that the experience was wonderful.

The reservation was canceled by the hotel. They stated that the hotel was closed for repairs. Should have known that at the time of booking. I do not expect to see a charge for the booking.

The hotel was fine, Casino Ok, but no roulette! It was not open the night I was there. The restaurant was also closed, only serving burgers and pizza. If was a Wednesday night. I was told to come thurs - Sunday. The food selections could have been better. I wish roulette was available.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. No complimentary breakfast. There was only 2 places to eat and both of them didn't serve breakfast. Also the hotel wouldn't let you bring in outside alcohol. Found out why, the bar was so overpriced and the shots were not actually shots more like a tablespoon of liquor per drink. The machines were not hitting for anyone. I visited the casino Sunday evening and I never heard any machines going off when someone hits big. The room was clean but the bed was very very firm. Not comfortable at all.

Room I reserved was not available when I arrived. Whole place had an odd smell like incense. Was given a room with smaller bed. Pillows were smallest I have seen besides decorative pillows. Shower handle was very hard to turn. Worried it would break off trying to turn on water. My wife got a pizza that was possibly worst I have ever had but still expensive. We did not gamble as we were just sleeping and leaving next day traveling. Maybe a good casino (I don’t know) but hotel was not great in our experience.

This place reeks of nasty cigarettes. I've waited over three days for a manager to return my call never happened.. horrible hotel horrible service

There is nothing aroundcthe area. Casino was slow only 20 people that day. There was no restaurant that day. So we walked outside to a litlle restaurant next to the hotel. Great food family owned.

Our room and hallway was clean, fresh and smelled amazing!

It was Easter weekend so it was hard to judge the crowd but it felt like the crowd was pretty much assisted movement walkers/cart. Nothing exciting on the buffet and most of the food was a bit salty. The stage was nex to the eating area so it made dinner a bit uncomfortable. The service was nice and it felt clean. The bathroom was much more comfortable in the rooms than most but not anything crazy.

I needed a quick room when I was driving through the area and found it here. I loved the overall aesthetics of the hotel. I didn't use any accommodations. As with most casinos, there was a mild smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby and I could smell it in the elevator and on the floor. The room had a fragrance in it which was a little strong, but it didn't keep me from sleeping.

Rooms you can hear through the walls bad . Hot water does not get very hot , no hair dryer in the room , buffet was 63$ for two people and it was mediocre at best . Not real impressed . Staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable .

The accessible room was great. Lots of room to move around with my scooter and the bathroom was awesome. All the staff was super nice except the woman that checked us in. But luckily she wasn’t the norm.

I stay at a lot of casinos and the Cherokee Hotel and Casino was excellent. The room was immaculately clean. Nice, comfortable bed and they had a great bathroom and shower. Will definitely stay there again. The casino is not large by any means but the slot machine selection was excellent. It was also very clean. The drink station was very good. They had fresh coffee all night which seems to be something many casinos can’t get right. Highly recommend

The bed was hard and lumpy, the buffet was very expensive and food was very sub-par. The was exceptional very kind and curious. We left Sunday morning instead of spending our second night there.

Convenient location off of I-40. Room was really nice - large, with some luxury touches and quiet. Housekeeping was quick to bring an extra blanket for me. The room was a little dark but perfect for sleeping.

Check-in took an hour. The room was great, but the bartenders left me standing there for a very long time (no less than 10 minutes while they served everybody but me and it wasnt even busy yet). We werent impressed with the buffet, especially for what theyre charging to eat there. Overall, we'll never go back. Theres too many other places that value their guests and they show it

Check in was impossible. You charged me for the room and they wanted another $65.00 plus $50.00 deposit more. They finally agreed to cancel the room you charged me for and rented me a different one for another amount that I had to pay them for. Check in took well over an hour and I’m still not happy about this whole experience.

Clean room, but it wasn't ready at 4, it was ready 2 hours later. Stayed 4 full days and ran out of toilet paper, requested twice then gave up and hoped maid service would finally realize we needed it. They did when i put tissue box on floor next to toilet. It wasn't as pleasant a stay as the last time i was here.

The room was spotless and beautiful. However, I left with a headache because the perfumed air freshener was so very strong.

We always enjoy our time at the casino. The hotel is nice and clean. We feel safe. The only part of the casino/hotel experience that could be improved is the hotel check in area. We have yet to have anyone that really "welcomed" us.

The beds are like bricks & pillows need to be replaced with better ones. At $140 a night I didn’t expect to wake up with a horrible back ache from the bed & my neck killing me from the pillows.

Overall excellent experience. Plenty of parking to accommodate my 26 foot U-Haul truck with auto carrier in tow. Individuals at desk were very nice. Casino was fun and bar staff took good care of you. Food was good. Smoking is allowed in casino.

Nice and clean but the air freshener is over the top! It burns your throat and eyes. I’m assuming they have it going through the ventilation system to over compensate for the cigarette smell but it actually makes it worse.

I WAS NEVER SO EMBARRASSED IN MY LIFE. AFTER PAYING FOR THE ROOM IN FULL I WENT TO CHECK IN AFTER DRIVING 10 HOURS AND WORKING AT THE STATE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT IN SALLISAW I WAS DENIED CHECKIN DUE TO MY CREDIT CARD NOT HAVING A CHIP. I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT GET A REFUND AND WAS ASKED TO LEAVE. I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS TRAVELING STATE TO STATE FOR 9 YEARS HOSTING YOUTH BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS AND HAVE SEEN SOME SIGHTS BUT THIS WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE FOR ME. IM DISTURBED ABOUT THE CREDIT CARD BEING USED TO PAY FOR ROOM BUT COULDNT USE THE SAME CARD TO PAY 50 INCIDENTALS. I EVE. OFFERED TO PAY $500 CASH DEPOSIT AND WAS STILL TOLD NO.

This was a great property! The pool was amazing with staff occasionally taking drink/food orders. Someone came out each day to offer pool towels! No smoke smell. It would have been nice to have a full length mirror in the room. Getting ready for a wedding with multiple people and no mirror was more difficult. Overall, I'd definitely stay again!

Room was clean, shower was huge, bed was perfectly comfortable, AC was so cold! Give 5 stars to the room! Check-in took 20 mins. Multiple people trying to check in, with only 1 attendant, finally after 15 minutes another atendee showed up.

I like how clean the entire property is. The pool and hot tub are the main reasons we keep coming back! I like how the casino is located close to Fort Smith and Van Buren. There so many things to do and see in the area if gambling isn’t your thing.

Stay was ok, staff friendly. Complaint is the hotel room and halls smelled very stale and smoke smell was strong. Could definitely use a better ventilation system. Carpet is very dated.

We always stay here when visiting our friends in Muldrow! Always clean and comfy beds! The only downfall this time was no water pressure in our shower! Maybe since we were on the 8th floor. We really have never had any issues before.

Check in was easy buy... they must be short of help because for the first time ever we had to bring our bag up ourselves. Other than that it was a great experience

I have stayed here before and I really enjoyed it.

Great hotel

Rooms were clean and comfortable overall. Not happy with staff acting helpless, and entertainment options in room. Would be nice to make it eadier to try to connect a roku etc. They have little for channel selection selection

Was a great stay just the water pressure was way low and hard to take a shower. Fix this for our next stay please.
