Other guests were very loud and was hard to rest.

Parking was easy and check in was a breeze. Room was decent. New TV in my room. Breakfast needed some bagels and milk for cereal. Coffee was good.

Convenient location. Hair in the tub and in the ice bucket!?!? Could hear the neighboring room's TV through the wall all night. The shower-head was some sort of medieval torture device. The TV remote could only turn the TV on and off, you couldn't change the channel. The refrigerator made so much noise I had to unplug it in the middle of the night. While I was in the shower - well before check out time - the maid let herself into the room without knocking.

We stayed 2 days and 2 nights. We had no television remote, therefore no entertainment, not even music for the entire stay. I even asked them to provide us with a tv remote after the first night, and explained the problems we were we were having getting anything on the tv to work without it. And still, even after promising to bring us another remote, they never came. Additionally, there was no exhaust fan in the restroom, nor was there a working smoke detector or fire alarm device in the room which is a major safety concern and also is violating several different Bldg. and Fire Code regulations. Its too bad because I observed what was supposed to have been a complete renovation of the rooms and lobby systematically ongoing beginning in 2022. I hadn’t been back for almost 2 years until my recent stay because I had broken my back a couple years ago couldn’t travel back down there until I healed significantly. One thing positive I will say is that they had replaced the beds since I first started staying there back in 2022 and also it appeared that the long term tenants that had been staying there back then appeared to all have been evicted. The result was that is appeared to be a much safer environment for real guests that wanted to stay there. There were no real amenities beyond 2, one quarter inch thick bars of lye soap and a 1 oz. bottle on body and hair wash liquid soap thas felt as thin as water and had only slightly better cleaning results than using nothing a all.

Nothing is great

Location There was no available parking. It snowed, it was icy and there was no snow removal done. There was nothing on the ice, making it slippery. No sand or anything.I am a disabled person and my partner had to shovel the parking space. The handicapped spaces were not shoveled out.

I thought it was neat and clean. I don’t think it was that great an area, but I booked it before seeing it. I was on the first floor and there was a child running around above me and I assume the child went to sleep, but then there were other footsteps in motions that I heard all night long. All night long.

Absolutely nothing Crackhead talking on the phone to somebody really loud. People arguing in the parking lot. Very nasty rooms dog barking in the room next door. After viewing two rooms and telling the the lady at the front desk she did refund us our money.

The place is very tired and needs TLC, check in was easy, parking was good. Room was in need of paint, patching. Towels and water pressure needs work.

The property was fine for a motel. That was the best in the area. It was clean for it to be a motel for the price that I pay only $53 a night. I got a pretty good room for that price. I have no complaints.

The beds were comfortable for the most part. They need to remodel the floors, doors, and the walls. They have a lot of damage and spots that are very noticeable.

Convenient location - easy to get to and close to Kings Dominion, and the area felt safe. Beds were comfortable. Staff (including housekeeping) were pleasant and friendly. Didn't notice any bugs or other critters in the room. Seemed like the room wasn't very well cleaned between guests. Table had something sticky on the edge. One wall had reddish brown splatters, and some of the other walls were stained as well. Bottom part of the toilet near the floor was pretty gross. One electrical outlet was partially broken. We travel with a portable room air purifier, and it initially rated the air quality in the low 80 percentage range and didn't get much above 90% even with it set to the max power level. We're thinking that the mattresses were dusty/dirty since the air quality would drop a few points whenever we sat on the beds. We were on the second floor, and the railing going up the stairs was sticky and left paint flakes on our hands.

I really didn't like much other than it was kind of empty so not too much noise going on. And I like the fact that a continental breakfast was supposed to be included and that never happened. The hotel never had breakfast to offer only old coffee. I guess you get what you pay for. I didn't like the fact that I had to change the room when I got there due to it being dirty. There was a non working phone. Microwave was filthy, a hole in the wall, beds outdated and it felt more like a low budget motel. I did get another room which was better.

I stayed one night, I was traveling through Virginia. The room just wasn’t clean it is what it is. Lots of stains on furniture, scratches on walls, wear and tear, I understand it is pet friendly, I was traveling with a pet myself but was charged $20 for my 4 pound Pom who could never do any damage to anything and the room was completely damaged from other pets so if y’all charging this extra pet fee where is it going to fix the pee stains on the couch and scra

It was quiet, and they have a TV. Bed was alright. 1) Couldn't tell if the door locked properly. 2) Hair in the hair dryer. 3) USED CONDOM ON THE FLOOR! Like they didn't clean the room. 4) Maybe don't book here if you're transgender, very skeptical about my ID because it was before my transition. Unfortunately I'm poor and it was an 8 hour drive so I needed somewhere to sleep.

Cheap motel for short 1-nite stay

Room is spacious.

Check-in was easy. the Desk Clerk was very polite and helpful. the King Room was clean, the heater worked well and the television had many channels to watch.

The room was very outdated. We found dirty wash cloths in the bathroom. The bedding was old. Mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. The floors were dirty, feet and socks were black after walking on them.

Sometimes you do not get what you do not pay for. The price was good but this property is worn and poorly maintained. Check in was a challenge. No information was shared about the wifi, or tv system or phone which did not work. When I went to the office the second time to speak with a person I was allowed in. She told me the phone and TV worked (they did not). Her brother responded and fixed it. He was helpful. Contrary to the web Orbitz listing there was no breakfast. If price is your first consideration this is your place. Otherwise....

Because it was just one night, it was ok, however there was no breakfast, only some leftovers at 7:45am.

They have DirecTv. Clean. Faucet in the tub was drippy constantly. Good location.

Our room had dead bugs all over the floor, outlet covers hanging out of the wall, lights wouldnt turn on, bed sheets had stains on it, pillow had what looked like blood stains, headboard of the bed had spider webs on it, floor look like was never swept, smell of rook was horrible even for being a smoking room, door to the room was very hard to even open

As basic as basic can be. Absolutely "no frills" other than very basic continental breakfast. This is an old Howard Johnson's which at one time was refurbished decently. One tiny picture on wall. Mattress was beyond worn out. Pillows you might find in a prison. 5-10 tries every time to use key card. TV remote nearly dead. Toilet wobbled BADLY. Freezer in mini fridge had so much ice built up, you couldn't fit an ice cube tray. I had to take it outside to defrost all day. Cigarette burns on furniture. FILTHY. AC did work though.

The room was in fairly good condition for the cost. There were still broken fixtures in the bathroom, soap sizes cannot be humanly used;they were so small.

Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Breakfast wasn’t anything special or to write home about but was adequate for a free breakfast. Room was clean and amply supplied. Would stay again for the right price (was good this go round)

Taught that you get what you pay for ! Rooms reasonable but.dirty. Bed was clean. No shower safety item’s especially the tub bottom, it was not non-slip, hair dryer broken, no tissues, and tv remote on last leg with no battery cover. Was only there from 1:30 AM to 6:30 AM because of travel emergency. Never saw facility in daylight.

The toilet and mirror were dirty. Mattresses were comfortable. Their internet was down so had to pay in cash but otherwise not a bad stay

Looks like they start renovating but the room was dirty, blanket had burn holes in it and front desk was locked with 5 young children camped out at 11:15 pm. Sounded like a loud party happening and I had to call several times for service. No coffee or breakfast and when asked said they were under new management. Lobby was still closed off. Always stayed at Knights Inn when traveling but never this one again.

This hotel is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It felt unsafe and it was filthy. We were unable to lock our door using the swing bar lock as it was broken. The mirror was filthy with splatter marks all over it, the tub had multiple hairs and an orange colored film, the waste basket had a disgusting substance, towels appeared dirty, and countertops were not wiped clean. This room looked like it hadn’t had maid service for months. It appears people live at the hotel as I saw a cat in one window, an outdoor grill, and lots of junk/personal belongings on the outside balcony. You could hear people coming and going during late hours and a car alarm going off. I would not recommend staying here.

Hotel was dirty. Sink mirror had tooth paste specks all over. Toilet had fecal matter on it. Remote didn't work. The only reason I stayed in the hotel was because I was tired and didn't feel like searching for another hotel. I guess you get what you pay for.😠😡

Our check in was about 1230 am. The clerk was nice. But the room smelled bad and was poorly painted and missing fixtures. Only half the switches worked!

Not a good hotel at all They have no lobby u can sit in In order to check in u have to call from a phone then slide id underneath a glass window Room was EXTRA filthy refrigerator with Stains in it, Bedspreads with smoking burns in them,Big hole in Bathroom door,Nite stand food crumbs all over it,The door says Howard Johnsons on it but the sign says Knights Inn If i could give it Negative Stars i would Dont think your going to get any Sleep Shady people in parking lot and running up and down all Night.

I was extremely disappointed in my first gold membership stay. I couldnt get late check out. My room wasn't a smoking room. The front desk attendant just told me to go ahead and smoke. She has a very offputting personality. The vents had bugs in them. There seemed to be rodent droppings behind the night stand.

Rooms were clean- smelled a little of cigarettes but overall good! Area is convenient next to Kings Dominion and good restaurants.

The room itsself looked clean but had this weird smell to it the mirror was dirty the tv didnt work there were holes in the wall as well and the hot water in the room didnt want to cooperate but for $71 a night you cant really expect much

I left after two hours as the smoke smell in the room was disgusting. When I went to check out and tell the manager, he said he could have put me in another room, I declined aa this hotel is listed as NON smoking. So all of the rooms would be the same.

The building was under construction, it wasn't very cleanly, there were ashes and a strong Marijuana smell in our room when we came back from the event we were attending and the staff was not available to talk to about it that night or in the morning.

The TV was broken. The place was under repair and the property had the parking blocked off so that they could have pallets of stuff for repairs taking up most of the room. BUT MOSTLY UNHAPPY DUE TO THE LACK OF TV!!!

Not a very clean hotel. Toilet had dirt rings on sink and hair found in tub. Room had a horrible stinch. I only stayed one night so that is as far as I will go. Avoid if you can, if not only stay one night.

Room was acceptable for price paid, wi-fi was not very good. Bathtub was very slippery.

Kind of dirty. Particularly the bathroom. But did the trick for a cheap motel room for a couple nights.

I have been coming to knights inn for years because its close by and when i need a place from the elements its convenient. At first i turned a blind eye towards the rooms because it was an old building and they just changed ownership. As the years went by and thinking they would be getting great business since it the next exit up from kings dominion. But nothing was ever changed the same way it was before the exchange of hands is the same way NOW! The place is falling apart. The rooms look like they should be condemned. The beds are old and hard as Flintstone rock. The bathrooms look as if they havent been scrubbed in years dirt on top of dirt so its embedded in the tub, the faucet of falling off of the wall. The toilet looks like bugs should be running along the bottom and inside. Overall the place needs help. And they still charge an insane amount.

The rooms are updated, more attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the mirrors, walls, toilets, doors and such and the outside stairs..I realize they have a lot to clean, but these things matter A LOT to travelers...Other than these issues, everything was great..Thank you!

Peeling wallpaper, light was making a terrible noise, crusty underwear behind bathroom door etc the room was clearly not cleaned and was disgusting. No smoke alarm

The room we stayed in was very nasty and dirty. There was a dirty sock beside the bed. The tub was black and had hair all over it. Only 1 pillow on each of the queen beds. Crack hotel

The bathroom was just gross. The toilet had rings in it, the tub stopper was corroded. The room was sub sub par in condition. I felt compelled to use only bottled water.

It was clean and as quiet as it could be being that it is next to a truck stop. I would stay there again

Caroetssmelled, water leak around toliet, parking lot and surrounding areas has alot of trash laying around. Tile floors were sticky. Be nice to have a coffee maker in the room

The room was dingy but seemed to be relatively clean. The bathroom, however, needed a good scrubbing. There was a really disgusting hard-water ring in the toilet and there were water spots on all the fixtures. Other than shampoo and soap there were no amenities. It was nice, though, to be able to grab bagel and cup of coffee on the way out.

The pictures are misleading. The room I got was revolting. Condoms wrappers and dirty socks were on the floor the bathroom had not been cleaned at all The microwave was so gross it looked like a prop from a horror film. Ask to switch rooms,second room was just as bad. Third room was somewhat better but after seeing the other rooms no one really wanted to sleep there. Would never book again.

The unit that we stayed in was run down and dirty. the bathroom had mold on the floor and wall behind the toilet. there was also mold around the drain in the bath tub. the wall paper was buckling and popped off of the walls. There was no coffee maker in the room. The pillows and bedding were cheaply made and uncomfortable. The microwave was at least 15 years old. The conditions were so bad that we decided to leave earlier than planned.

What I dident like was the people staying next to me, they were very loud until 1am.

Complimentary breakfast was supposed to have been served from 6 - 9 am. Arrived in lobby where the breakfast was served at 8:40 AM and they were out of orange juice, coffee, bagels, milk for the cereal, cream cheese and plastic knives, forks and spoons. The employees didn't refill anything that they were out of. You had to ask them to make more coffee and they didn't check to see if anyone wanted a bagel, juice or whatever they may have had to get you. When a hotel states that breakfast is served until 9:00 am then it is supposed to be served up to 9:00 am. Not everyone can get to breakfast at 6:00 am. The hotel staff didn't bring out any more food for those that were their around 8:45 or 8:50.. I can understand them not refilling anything if it was at 9:00, but only 10 minutes past 8:30 was a little ridiculous. You were lucky to get anything to eat with the small amount of leftovers that they had for you to choose from. I had to go back to my room with the breakfast that I bought with me from home because the hotel lobby area where they served breakfast was hotter inside than it was outside. They didn't have air conditioning in the lobby/breakfast area. It was Very uncomfortable trying to eat while you are sweating so much. Nope, not staying at this Knights Inn ever again and I would suggest you don't either.

When we arrived the attendant could not find our reservation. I brought it up on my phone. The wifi password was written on the key card cover but was only available in "public areas". The 2nd night the key card had to be reprogrammed to open our door. The curtain was opened & lights were on. The covers on the bed were pulled back in a way we thought it was not made up. There was no fruit at breakfast, only cereal & pastry. Day 2 there was no coffee at 8:30. The lobby was very dust covered.

Didn't realize I booked a smoking room. The room was pretty trashy. Stains on the furniture, cigarette burns and ashes on furniture, and nasty walls. But the sheets on the bed were clean.

Overall the rooms were clean and kind of quiet. The rooms were good. Maybe new toilet the one they had was small and old. Exterior of hotel could use a little clean up.

Sheets and pillow case had stains on them. I slept on top of covers with my own blanket and pillow. Obviously sheets weren't changed from previous check in

When I arrived about 8pm I claimed my reservation and paid, and learned when I entered the room that we were given 2 twin beds, not 1 King bed. So I went down and talked to the receptionist, and all he had to say was that was what I was getting and that it was queen, not twin. Well it was not queen as that is what we have at home. So it was an uncomfortable stay for us.

I should probably not expect much from a motel out in the middle of nowhere BUT... after we had a check in that took waaaay too long for being the only ones in the lobby we entered a room that deemed of big bomb. I felt like I was breathing poison air all night. The bathroom smelled of urine. The sheets were not cleaned and the roll bed we asked for FOUR TIMES (online, callling ahead, at check-in, and then calling the desk an hour later) miraculously appeared with bedsheets (but no pillow). If we weren't so tired from traveling 10 hours we would have run screaming.

The hotel sign is a banner, that automatically gave us a bad feeling about the place. The room had a foul odor and there were bugs on the beds. This hotel was the worse we have stayed in. I would not recommend it to anyone, well Obama can stay there.

Carpet filthy; love seat worn, broken down supports and ripped in several spots; fridge leaked water on everything and freezer half full of ice. Water pressure in shower so low it took forEVER to rinse hair. Late check out at 5 bucks/hr seemed very inhospitable since they weren't busy. Bathroom was clean but lacked much counter space and good number of outlets

The sheets had hair and bugs on them once we pulled covers back. Complained and it took house keeping 45 mins to come change both sheets. Once changed still had hair on one bed so we slept on top. Notice a blood stain on the bed skirt of the other bed. There was a iron print on the floor. This was only a 1 night stay and it was already very late so we just made do for the night. We didn't even eat the breakfast cause scared of what might happen. Will never stay here again.

Our plan was to stay here for 2 nights while we were going to Kings Dominion. The exterior is literally falling apart. We asked for a non-smoking room, as soon as we opened the door all you could smell was smoke. Black mold in the bathroom, the shower head couldn't be turned off (meaning we couldn't give our toddler a bath), the toilet was leaking and broke after we flushed it once; we were given a plunger but continued to have issues. Multiple burns and stains in the carpet, the carpet itself felt sticky. There were crackheads hanging out in the parking lot during the middle of the night. I didn't see any bedbugs or roaches, which was a surprise. It was so bad we ended up leaving after the first night. I didn't dare ask the rude employees for a refund for the 2nd night that we paid for, but didn't end up using due to the nastiness of the motel.

I was just there one night for a funeral. While the staff was very nice the room was filthy. I had to run to Walmart to buy myself a towel and washcloth because the ones in the room were horribly stained. I was afraid to touch things and used a quilt from my car to shield me from anything that may have been on the bed. I didn't even consider using the pillows. The sofa was stained...pretty much everything was dirty. True I only paid $60 for the night but I would expect it to be much cleaner. I don't mind shabby and old but I do expect clean. The toilet rocked a lot, also, and was extremely low to the ground (as was the worn out and stained sofa!) Walls were thin so I heard everything from neighbors on either side (but that is kind of expected in a motel). The free breakfast was inedible. I took one bite of my bagel and cream cheese and then tossed it. The free coffee was lukewarm and watery. I would not stay here again.

Hotels very run down and the staff does not speak or has a hard time using English. We found several stains on the counters the carpet walls there was mold in the bathroom. TV remote did not work. Ironically the bed was actually comfortable and appeared clean.

Property was in line with the price paid. There were Flys in the room which annoyed my wife.

It was the worst hotel experience of my entire life, no exxageration. The front desk managers were rude and unprofessional. The room was filthy. There was an empty condom wrapper beside my bed. The room wreaked of smoke. There were what looked like blood stains on the covers. When we asked for new sheets and blankets we were met with attitude. The "clean" sheets wreaked of urine and had a big yellow stain on them. I didn't even want to use the restroom.

No phone no clock hotel

We just needed a place to crash for the night, but I wish I had taken more time to find a decent place. A couple of the windows were cracked on the rooms, a door on another room looked as though it was beaten in with a bat. Bathroom was nasty, didn't feel comfortable showering/using toilet. The shower made a horrible sound when you turned it on, and the toilet bowl was filthy, as well as the wall behind the toilet. It looked like someone smeared poo on the wall beside the toilet. Beds were uncomfortable and nasty, we woke up with bug bites! (I noticed a sign that said pets welcome, so perhaps fleas??). But, what can you expect for the price?!

This was a quick pit stop on a long road trip. This hotel was perfect for my overnight stay. The room was large and comfortable, right off the interstate and an excellent price.
