Quiet, plenty of places around if you need anything Everything was great the only issue was that the floors seemed dirty (our feet were black) and limited towels. We booked for 5 and there was only 2 towels and 2 wash cloths

The water preasure and temperature were amazing! The bed was soft, pillows plush but that frame was loud! Haha. It's on the nicer end of what you'd expect from a truck stop motel of that price but it was one I'd go back to.

It was fairly close to the amusement park and to stores and restaurants. The staff was ver rude. I booked 3 rooms for a total of 14 people. They gave us 2 towels and 2 wash clothes per room. When i asked for more towels I was told that they could not give me any more towels because all 3 rooms were in the same name. I asked them how we're we all supposed to bathe with the same towel and was cloth. He literally told me that it was not his problem and walked away. The rooms were filthy. I wish I could post pictures but It won't let me. There was poop all over the walls in the bathroom. The tub was filthy you could tell it had not been cleaned. When I asked for house keeping to come up and service the room I was told that they do not do that. They woukd not even provide me with gloves and supplies to clean it myself. I had to go to Walmart to get cleaning supplies to clean the room. The beds were not queen size as the listing stated. It literally was a tad bit bigger that a twin bed. I usually can fit 3 kids comfortably in the bed I could only fit 2. Then came breakfast the only thing they had was waffles and stale cereal. None of the juice dispensers worked. They did not even have bottled water for guests. We asked if they had tap because I had filters we could have used. They refused to give us sink water. Then they ran out of syrup they refused to refill the syrup. Then the roaches came out from behind the counter where the food was. I finally just left and went and got my kids McDonald's. The manager Jay was beyond terrible. Then as we were checking out I saw why the rooms were not properly cleaned. They have a big man that comes by and takes all the dirty linen which they were mad about because I stripped the beds completely to make sure that the people behind us would get clean EVERYTHING. Then they have 2 little kids a girl and a boy looked to be around 8 and 10 to clean the room. Talk about child labor smh. If I could have afforded to leave and find another place I would have.

Nearby the truck stop I was parked at Within 5 minutes of being in my room I saw cockroaches.I went to the desk and was refused a refund and moved into another room.Within 10 minutes a fight between several people broke out near my door..not feeling safe I was then moved to a room in the front of the building and saw roaches again.I left and went back to my truck having paid for a room I didn't even sleep in.Horrible management and experience.Dirty and poorly maintained even for the price.

I came from out of town for work and booked a three-day stay. I was unaware that missing the first day would result in forfeiting the entire reservation. Instead of any understanding or attempt to assist, I was treated with rudeness and a complete lack of empathy. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had

Given the price, it was good. It was clean, everything worked and I wasn’t disturbed. My only complaint; I specifically told them I would pay in cash and not to use the debit card. Now I have an overdraft fee I was not planning on.

The staff was lovely, but the bed was so ridiculously uncomfortable.

I didnt mind the lack of breakfast and they were nice about extending my check out an hour but the roaches and no options for ice (water smelled anyway), and no alternative for coffee with no breakfast bar put a damper on things but it was expected for the price i paid.

A place to sleep with a good waffle breakfast thrown in. Advertised pool but pool obviously was never opened this year. Ask for even numbered rooms since odd numbers face the truck stop with semis going in and out all night. Bed in good condition but no back support in them. Room patched up but clean.

So when we first booked they gave us an exceptionally good room room 119 the beds were great everything was clean sheets were amazing everything was great all the outlets worked and then I needed to stay for an extra 3 days and the manager which is extremely rude by the way she told me that I needed to change rooms and she moved us to 208 holes in the wall out half of outlets are missing stickers on the mirror burnt holes in the bed bed smaller than room 119 there's a rat trap behind the fridge the fridge is rusted so we got downgraded because we extended it was what it seems like she also said that they don't take locals and that they could only renew it these next three days and then I needed to get out half of the outlets in this room don't work

The hotel sits adjacent to truck scales which means zero sleep all night. The complimentary breakfast consisted of a couple broken cereal dispensers and a dirty waffle maker, absolutely horrible. Worat of all was arriving into a hotel run with an unflushed used toilet and a ruffled bed. The place was so bad that I am ashamed to have subjected my family to the experience of staying there.

Simple place to just lay your head while heading towards your destination. Nothing close to fancy but adequate for the price.

I booked this hotel because it said that there was an outdoor pool. When we pulled up we could see the pool was covered, apparently for a very long time. I asked at the desk and was told that they never open it. With a temperture over 90 degrees, we were looking forward to it. They should remove "pool" from their listing.

Terrible. I walked in there room and the room was full of cockroaches and the bathroom had mold.

First room had roaches got a different room and the fridge was full of roaches, requested a full refund. Was put through several hoops to get my money back from the hotel when I wasn’t even able to utilize either of the rooms provided. Employee at the front desk was extremely rude and in denial about the infestation.

If you read another google reviews everyone saying the same things and they replied we will take care of it Oh the furniture you lucky if anything works from refrigerator to microwave to tv seems like everything they buy from thrift store or any used shop

Everyone is very helpful, the manager is really nice and very accommodating if you need anything. The rates here are also very reasonable, which is helpful when traveling on a budget! I liked it so much , I extended my stay, and booked another week.🙂 It was so easy to reserve my room.They have coffee, and a waffle machine in the lobby fir a quick breakfast, if you're so inclined. Lastly, there's Dunkin Donuts, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Golden Corral Buffet, Subway, and 3 convenience marts...all within walking distance. 😊 You can't beat this Super 8 in Ruther Glen Virginia. It's minutes from Kings Dominion , and the new Kalahari Resort and Convention Center opening in Summer of 2026. I highly recommend !!!

Rude front desk

It was a good stay but having a pool on property and not having it in use for the entire summer diet o maintenance is not good business especially when you have families with kids who look forward to swimming in the pool.

No towels unless you ask for them, at least pur room did not have them. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee. No exaustfan in bathroom. No soap. A poor bargain at any price.

However, one of my rooms (room #1) was supposed to be non-smoking and it was clearly a smoking room. There were cigarette burns all over the room including on the warm blanket. The other room was missing it's shower stall handle, so there were just two one-inch holes in the fiberglass shower insert (room # 2). We witnessed a cockroach in the the shower/toilet area. Probably crawled out of the hole. There was also women's hair on the shower floor when I walked in. I am a man, no woman used that shower when I was there. The hotel advertised a pool. We were there on June 13-15, and the pool was not yet open. The ice machine did not give out any ice. Upon arrival to my "non-smoking" room, the electrical chord that controlled the AC would not stay in, because the outlet is upside down. The management promptly came and it wasn't anything that a little duck tape couldn't handle. Breakfast as far as I could see was non existent. They have some kind of machine that automatically dispenses waffle batter next to a waffle machine. It did not look active. That technically is breakfast, but that's basically it. If you are looking for a relatively clean overnight stay that has a bed and a bathroom and AC, you'll get that here. Just nothing else.

The pool hasn’t been open in years it appears … there was a mattress at the pool and it was still very much covered. The breakfast is indeed a very light breakfast just had muffins and waffles and juice and some cereal and coffee. No coffee maker in the room. However, the room was great and comfortable. Shower was amazing (a little low) but we made do. Great location and definitely felt very safe :)

Way too noisy

Everything was pretty dirty, the sheets, the walls. When my key stopped working, a 7 or 8 year old kid in his pajamas was the one who came to the front desk to reprogram it. Bizarre.

Towels wasn’t clean

The room had a odor , the fridge smelt like something was died in it , the tv had one channel the remote didn’t work , there was no water pressure in the shower, the shower head was grimy tub was cracked with some kind of epoxy on it , turn on the ac it had some odor coming from it , found mouse traps in the room there were marks all over and holes in the walls when I requested a room the guy at the front desk told me they were sold out then he looked and said oh , I have one room in back , after I had to demand a room down stairs, I wouldn’t recommend this place

Management and Staff treat you good. I highly recommend staying there.

You get what you pay for. The beds looked clean however there was no smoke detector it was ripped off the wall it looked like the rooms smelt horrible like smoke the ceiling looked like it needed repair. The bathtub and sink was full of rust damage. The door had a huge crack between the door and the frame it was hard to lock the door. Had I not drove 12 hours and thought I could make it further I would have left.

I have learned to read the reviews on Google for opinions. I take them with a grain of salt. But, for a 2 star hotel it was good review after good review. All I need is a good mattress, a clean floor AND a genuine handicap accessible bathroom. Man, oh man! They met ALL OF THOSE! That bathroom was big, sparkling, and those towels?? I took a shower just to use them!! The front staff were very nice. I will definitely stay with them in the future with my little dog again. Thank you!!!

The staff was so kind and helpful. I forgot my watch and they not only found it for me but worked with me to get it mailed back. It was a quick trip to gas and food. Perfect for a quick overnight safe place to sleep.

Why we stayed here after seeing one room with a broken main light switch, going to another with a broken door lock, and being brought to a third with a chirping fire alarm I will never know!! We saw two cockroaches over our 11hr stay (don’t even want to know how many are in the walls!), cigarette burn marks on the covers (in a no smoking room), pieces of the tub was smashed out, patches of the wall had holes/weren’t painted. Even with all that possibly the worst part of not getting a wink of sleep is the truck stop literally across the lane from our door, with very loud trucks coming and going every few minutes. Just as an extra sucky bonus no breakfast was seen the next morning, not even a cup of coffee, which is one of the reasons we even looked at this motel to begin with. I would never stay here again or recommend this motel.

Before turning on the AC we had to kill 2 cockroaches and an unknown other bug. There was a short curly hair on the tub. Little peices of what looked like wet then dried straw paper on the floor and desk. Also you could only get the golf channel on the tv, not even the picture just the closed captioning for it. Very unsatisfied.

The worst part is that they are illegally conducting piss poor business practices that are NOT in compliance with the Federal Ada laws regarding service animals. They are asking for proof or documentation, and will argue with you regarding what the federal law is.

Weed Smell was there all over the room; We requested for a non-smoking room but got this one which was smelling weed all over. Could not sleep at all.

When I arrived not only was my room not ready but I was put in a room that had 2 broken tvs and when I asked to be put in a room with a working tv I was told I would then have to stay in a smoking room with my infant son. After almost a hour of going back and forth and 1 am I finally got a room with a working tv but by that time I was exhausted and didn’t feel the need to watch tv

After booking our room weeks ago, we were told at check-in, that they no longer had that particular room available. But for an additional charge we could upgrade. I told them I want the room that was ordered with no extra charge. He eventually found a room!!! The breakfast was a thermos of coffee, one and a half servings of waffles (for two of us) or pre-packaged danish. Nothing else.

My main complaint is that the wifi didn't work. Normally this wouldn't matter as I'd just use data but there was no service either. The breakfast was also kind of sad, but you get what you paid for there.

So we didnt expect much from a bdget hotel but some/any towels, soap, tissues, toliet paper would have been nice. Oh and a key card that didnt have to be reactivated after every swipe (or maybe even a second key card) would have been useful. AS WOULD A FRESH COAT OF PAINT AND SOME WALL PATCHING.

This is a decent motel for a quick overnight. No frills but relatively clean, quiet, and comfortable. At 8pm, the front desk looked abandoned and it took multiple tries to get anyone to appear. Located next to a noisy truck stop but the area seemed relatively safe. It worked out fine and I would consider staying again on my next trip.

Good no frills hotel. Microwave didn't work, but didn't need it. Door wouldn't lock but was fixed immediately. Next to truck stop. Truck noise started early in the morning.

We went diwn to the front desk with pictures and requested new linens, to which the man at the counter seemed frustrated at our request. We went back upstairs and changed the bed ourselves. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you absolutely have to.

Over all it was good. Our room was clean and bed was Comfortable. It's was great price. They are going though Remodel and did see things they could clean up. The website said they have a pool but because of remodel it was close,so it should say it on the website. Wasn't much for breakfast. There is plenty restaurants and gas stations in the area close by. Over all it was Decent.

We knew this was not 4 stars, I never expected the level of dirty. They put out ragged dirty wash rags and towels. There bed sheets and blankets are trash. I expected wear and tear building wise. This seems to be a family run business. They are terrible and cheap.

Clean place. Totally satisfied. I can't say anything about breakfast since I never have it anywhere. No noise and right off the hwy.

The property was fine, I mean it could use some upgrades however the people working it are nice folks, there wasn't a phone in my room however there was wifi and it was OK. I paid extra to check in before 3pm but when traveling with a family my kids wanted a break.

I had a room for 5, didnt have an extra bed had to go get a air mattress at walmart. The rooms were not clean at all. Dead bugs all over. Stuff on blankets. Definitely would not recommend. I am normally not a person to complain.

And the pool was closed, but when I booked it, it was advertised as having a pool. None of the pictures were the actual site. The carpet was extremely dirty. It turned my socks, black the bed was very uncomfortable, and when I asked for an extra pillow, I was denied because they said they needed enough to go around yet. The parking lot was almost empty.

I never stepped foot on the property due to a death in my family. Called to cancel the reservation and no one picked up. Called hotels.com because an entire reward was used for this stay. They could not even reach the hotel manager. As a result I loss my reward. Totally unacceptable for a business. Emergencies happen and I certainly could not predict a death was going to occur before our planned trip.
