Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff. However, the hotel's proximity to train tracks and the noise from passing trains is a frequent complaint. Additionally, the hotel's policy of charging for parking is a common point of dissatisfaction.

Parking right on site. Great stay! We will be back.

The breakfast was awful (reconstituted egg powder anyone?!) and having a timer switch on the bathroom light was a health and safety nightmare. Had to leave the shower door open to wave the lights back on every 60s when plunged back into darkness. Someone kept phoning my room at 6:30 am Sat morning too. Fortunately staff were great.
- 4/5
Only downside is lack of storage for clothing. Staff are friendly and amke you feel welcome.
- 2/5
Very cheap and barebones of a hotel room. Also very uncomfortable with the non air conditioned hallways and elevator. Room was 85 degrees when we got in. Cable wasn’t plugged in so had to figure that one out ourselves. Just overall underwhelming.
- 5/5
Rooms were great poll is great small and prefect for kids
- 4/5
Over all, would stay there again.

Check in was a breeze and fast. The lobby smelled clean. The room was clean and cold which we love. The pool area was clean and they were fast at getting towels out to the pool area when they noticed people were in it. Breakfast was amazing with yummy hot food, pastries and breads. Staff was always checking to make sure the food was full for guests.
- 5/5
Beautiful spacious room made using my walker easily accessible. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too.
- 5/5
Room is clean and neat. Only problem is nearby railroad will hear train horn once or twice during night. Overall good!
- 5/5
Good breakfast.
- 3/5
Hotel was fine, didn't use any of the amenities. It is nice they offer breakfast but I did not give it a try. Shower pressure was horrible it trickled out.
- 4/5
Overall good experience. The one negative was the light in the bathroom was on some kind of broken timer and kept going off when in the restroom, esp. the shower - pitch black when it went off. Frustrating and consistently happened during our overnight.
- 5/5
Spacious room, great breakfast, helpful staff, plenty of parking. Will visit again on our next trip to Sacramento.
- 3/5
Really upset they said the hot tub was working but it wasn’t hot and really gross. Staff didn’t care
- 5/5
Very clean, I loved staying in this hotel

Clean properly great stay!

Great place to stay, clean, new, great staff, proximity to the Centre.

The breakfast had a good selection—eggs, toast, walnuts, raisins, fruit and coffee. The location was convenient to the event we were attending. The front desk were all friendly and helpful. The air circulation fan was very noisy. We called the front desk after 10pm and maintenance checked it and said it was a fan that is in every room and does not shut off. It was too loud for sleeping so we asked the front desk receptionist about changing rooms. We changed to a room on the second floor and the fan was much quieter. In this room, the bathroom light switch did not shut off.

Nice place. Close to cal expo

The elevators were not working most of the time during the 4 days we were there. The trains are really loud throughout the night! Asked to change room because we couldn’t sleep well.
- 5/5
Wonderful facility with clean, comfortable room, friendly staff and nice amenities. They charge for parking but spaces are limited.

Spacious room. Friendly staff. Breakfast provided had good selection.

Solid simple breakfast. Wafffle machine is key.

Yes. All was wonderful part from one thing. I'm a single mom on disability and I never get to go anywhere or do anything and my friend gave me some money to go take my son to a concert of his favorite band because he does all the housework and never asks for anything. We drove up from Bakersfield because we had to drive to a venue that allows 18+. I booked through Hotels.com and I'm sure it was in the fine print which no one reads but PLEASE PUT A NOTICE BIG THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HOLD 150 DOLLARS ! We almost did not have enough gas to get home and it caused me SO MUCH STRESS! I won't even gross you out what it did to my body but to say I'm angry is an understatement! THEN YOU HOLD IT! You say it's the bank but I know that money is in your coffers collecting interest and I hope someone sues the hotels right out from under you one day!! I'm sure you are going to tell yourself it's standard practice but it's unreasonable to hold it for 3-5 business days it's SO SO SO wrong to do to people who are struggling financially, which who isn't right now? The terrible thing is, is just like all corporates, you have enough customers to pay your stupid fees and hold up their money, or they have a credit card which again is not usually struggling people. So I guess maybe you just don't want the 'useless eaters' staying at your establishment. If you are going to keep this practice, I hope you at least post it where people booking can easily see and not be caught off guard by your 'policies'!

We called to have sheets changed a few minutes after we arrived because we found a dried stain. Shower had hairs in the corners as well. Other than that everything was ok. Staff was great, fitness center was great & clean.
- 4/5
..
- 1/5
it was a cold, dreary, rainy day and night. We had NO heat and got NO assistance when we asked for help. Completely ignored by the front desk person which we reported the issue to.
- 4/5
The only downside was the inconsistency among some staff members. A few were unfriendly, and I received conflicting information during my stay. One night, I received multiple calls around 2 a.m. about a parking issue, including a threat to tow my car — even though we had already paid for parking. Being woken up at that hour for something that was already resolved was extremely frustrating. Aside from that incident, the hotel itself was great, but the communication from certain staff members definitely needs improvement.
- 3/5
Checking in was easy and straightforward, room wasn't anything fancy but was still good quality. The shower had some weird brownish stains in it and the trash cans in the room itself had no bags in them except the bathroom trash. Only real issues I had was the room directly above us was stomping and jumping around at 9pm-10pm for over an hour for 2 of the 4 nights we were staying, I notified the front desk and after that they stopped. The train noises were loud and ongoing but I was able to tune it out over time. Would stay here again if there were no other available hotels nearby
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet, comfortable.
- 5/5
Great service, great stay
- 4/5
The breakfast spread was good and fresh with lots of options. Coffee was great and available all day. Loved the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. Parking was easy and visible, so it felt safe. Room was very clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
The room was exceptionally clean, and we especially appreciated the hardwood floors instead of carpet—it felt much more hygienic and well maintained. The shower was also very clean, and overall the room felt fresh and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the room temperature was easy to control and stayed comfortable throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast. The coffee in the morning was great, and we had breakfast there one day—it was a typical continental setup, but with a nice variety and everything was fresh and good. The staff were very kind, helpful, and courteous. Parking was easy and convenient, with close access to the building and our room on the second floor. We also felt the property was secure, which we appreciated. The only downside was the bathroom lighting system, which is sensor-activated. While it works well during the day, at night the lights turn on very brightly and can be disruptive if you need to use the restroom. Aside from that, everything else was excellent and we would absolutely stay here again.
- 3/5
Accidentally left laptop on the chair and staff was unhelpful in retrieving it to get it back
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. Helped us get a rugby game up in the lobby during the storm.

The breakfast has great options.
- 5/5
We had two rooms. We arrived from Washington early. Thanks to Briana and Arina!! I will definitely stay there again, when in Sacramento!
- 3/5
The beds were very comfortable, the room was pretty clean and the continental breakfast was decent. The room was a little musty. The elevator (which has an expired inspection) made noises that you could hear in the room everytime the door opened and closed, I told maintenance, but they didn't seem to care. At 3:30am someone was banging on our door while covering our view hole, and we called the police because the front desk wasn't answering the phone. Someone had a birthday party and the entire pool (which is quite small) was jam packed so nobody else could use it. The front desk staff and cleaning crew were all very kind.
- 4/5
Everything about the property was fine. Unfortunately it is located near freight railroad lines as well as a major interstate freeway resulting in a lot of continuous noise during the night. If you are a light sleeper this will be a problem.
- 5/5
Plenty of food and coffee during breakfast.
- 2/5
The major issue is that it’s located right next to a very loud train. The train goes by multiple times (at least 3) throughout the night between midnight and 6am. Each time the train comes by, it blares its horn multiple times. We were on the side further away from the train and it was very very loud. So this place might be ok for a heavy sleeper but if you are a log h sleeper, I highly recommend asking the front desk for earplugs.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was ok, the air conditioning worked perfectly.
- 5/5
Our stay was nice except we did not expect to hear the train so close and often blowing their horn.
- 4/5
Breakfast selections were fresh and some variety. Room was very clean.
- 4/5
Good place to stay
- 4/5
Very thin walls. Could hear entire conversation from room next door
- 3/5
The light in the bathroom was obnoxious as hell. I tend not to turn on the light when I pee in the middle of the night. It was blindingly bright. I also enjoy having the light stay on when I shower. It kept timing out, leaving my in the dark. Who's brilliant idea was that?
- 5/5
Great staff. Great breakfast. Loved my room. Great experience.

Wouid be njce to have some non dairy creamers out for those that can't have dairy. I didn't know there was a pitcher of very little Oat milk hiding behind the yogurts in the tiny fridge. Again, maybe some little cartons of Coconut or Almond milk would be helpful for non dairy folks for the cereal or Oatmeal. Otherwise, I would stay there again.

Fantastic hotel near Cal Expo in Sacramento. The recent renovations look amazing—clean, modern, and very comfortable. The location is perfect for business or events at Cal Expo. This has definitely become my go-to hotel whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed the newly renovated room. It was neat, clean and spacious.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and beautiful. Everything looked new and well maintained. The only downside was that the breakfast had a small selection.
- 1/5
Hotel was fine however there are trains that run all night. You cannot sleep with the constant noise.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 2/5
Do not stay here if you are seeking peace and quiet.

Super clean rooms. Awesome breakfast. Loved the breakfast staff.

Slow drain in sink, slower drain in shower (showering in constant ankle-deep water) Clothes closet unusable: hanger rod was in bottom of closet less than a foot off the floor NOISY…train horn blaring all night Questionable if we stay here in the future…
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Excellent breakfast options. Friendly staff.
- 2/5
I could see the light from the adjoining room under the connecting door. It felt like there wasn’t another door on the other side, as I could clearly hear the person next door. During the day, there was construction going on across the hall in one of the other rooms which was loud. Oh, and there’s a train that passes through a few times a day/night.
- 5/5
Staff was really nice

Room - poor shower pressure and luke warm water. Tiny bathroom vanity, HVAC inconsistent, heard every step from upstairs room, pillows horrible. Construction noise and dust and cockroaches present in bathroom on last morning of stay.

- 1/5
The hotel was partially under construction and significantly overbooked. Initially we were told our room wasn't ready by check-in time because there was a shortage of cleaning staff turning over the rooms. So, we went to dinner and walked around until 9pm to give ample time. At that point, called in to check if they were ready and they told us there were no rooms, period, because the hotel was overbooked. They relocated us to their sister property, but that took hours to get everybody a room. Sister property had no working TV. Had to lug our luggage around back and forth. Painful experience.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
Room was nice and lean but the HVAC was really loud and woke me up multiple times and plus there was a humming/circulating noise - not a quiet night
- 5/5
Fresh Breakfast included
- 2/5
There was active construction and the rooms across from mine and underneath me. Construction was going on since eight in the morning with door, slamming and equipment noise. Also, there was no hot water to shower with. The water was lukewarm and felt cold to the body. Front desk staff are interactive with was extremely nice and helpful. I was told they would fix the issue while I was out of the room for the day. When I return, there was no change in the water temperature. I had to turn on the heater in the room extremely high, so that my daughter and son did not feel too cold coming out of the shower. The room itself was clean.
- 2/5
We checked in early and they said they didnt have rooms avaliable so we said
- 5/5
Fabulous breakfast! We’ll be back.
- 1/5
I had to wait an hour and a half
- 5/5
Heater extremely loud when it turns on. Hard to sleep at night. Tv remote not working properly, front desk assisted with getting me a replacement remote. Outlet in restroom didn’t work.
- 3/5
The room was clean and attractive, but poorly planned. - No nightstand on one side of the bed, so no way to have my phone (I.e., my clock and alarm) at my bedside. - No shelf for towels in the bathroom; the clean towels are stacked on the toilet. - No hooks in bathroom to hang towels after use - the bathroom light is on a timer or motion sensor - turned off in the middle of my shower - Wood floors rather than carpet make the room cold and echoey The breakfast was good and staff were nice.
- 4/5
Lot of construction
- 5/5
There was a very helpf
- 5/5
Manager was helpful when Expedia canceled our reservation.
- 1/5
Not newly renovated, currently under renovation!! Poor customer service from staff. Breakfast is terrible and extremely picked through. Rooms aren't terrible but no space to put clothes for 2 people! They should have a grooming policy for employees. Housekeeping is loud when doing rooms. No peace at this place no proper customer service, maybe they forget we are traveling folk. Who really knows just don’t make the mistake I made booking here.
- 5/5
Costumer service was 10 out 10
- 3/5
Food was not bad a bit bland but did the job .
- 1/5
Very poor
- 5/5
Room was ok, customer service was good and fast.
- 1/5
A party was hosted at the hotel and loud, thumping bass music played from 3pm until 4am. We did not have access to the pool and hot tub because of the event. We were lied to about how long the event would last. Every effort I made to contact the front desk was ignored until I walked to the front desk at 4am to wake the guy up and beg him to stop the music. My son and I got no sleep.
- 4/5
Rooms and common areas are kept very clean, room service was friendly. Can be loud with the train tracks being so close and breakfast was very bland, but it’s free food so. Good experience for the price.
- 3/5
Room was good. Neighborhood s were loud.
- 5/5
good breakfast; clean hotel
- 4/5
It was convenient. The beds moved I didn’t feel safe as I’m disabled. They weren’t comfortable. Everything was great, clean.

The property was under renovation. The AC in the room made so much noise that I couldn’t sleep the whole night. Nonetheless, the customer service of the front desk was good and pleasant,
- 5/5
Stopped in with a dog--was warmly welcomed. Kelly was great. Couldn't think of a single thing to complain about.
- 4/5
My only complaint was the heat/ac was very loud. Otherwise it’s awesome and staff are very friendly.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, clean rooms, good location for Cal Expo
- 5/5
Front desk lady was extremely nice and helpful.
- 4/5
The Heating system fan makes crazy noise so annoying, It wakes you up every time in turns on. Other than that it was fine
- 5/5
We loved it here. This hotel just fit everything we were looking for. A clean room, good location, helpful and friendly staff, a good breakfast with plenty of variety, and yummy hot tea before bed. We'll probably make this our hotel in Sacramento the next time we visit.
- 1/5
The heather was not working and after freezing the room I complained and had to move to another room after trying to sleep for awhile and being very tired lousiest stay ever, as I had to drive very early again all day.

- 5/5
This hotel was really clean and kept well. Rooms were updated. We traveled with a 6 year old and it felt very safe. We didn’t see any homeless outside and the immediate area was very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

BEWARE! Room rate on Expedia says $124 for a King but then when you get confirmation it was $159 - hotel would NOT honor Expedia price said I had to take it up with Expedia. Expedia did nothing to correct this. But from now on I will check my confirmation for this bait and switch from Expedia

Is a good place to stay

Best hotel
- 5/5
Room is spotless and staff is courteous.

Clean room, great cleaning staff, nice beds and bedding, comfy rooms. But, rooms have vinyl plank flooring and NO carpeting at all, which makes it a little less cozy.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, very clean room.

Overnight check in staff was excellent. Checkout person didn’t seem fully there, but was still cordial. Dog stayed with me, no problems! Will definitely stay again

They made me pay twice for parking!!! I told them I had opted to pay $12 more on Expedia to get PARKING INCLUDED (my reservation plainly states "free parking" but the clerk said "oh Expedia does that; we don't honor that" !!!!!!! The hotel shouldn't have charged me extra for parking. It's not set in stone, they have that option. I'm still fuming about this! I had to pay an extra $10 at check-in; it's not the amount of money. It's that Fairfield Inn knew I was paying TWICE for the parking, and they didn't care enough to make sure their customer was treated right. I will probably never go back there.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was excellent! Breakfast could have had more options but it was good!

Comfortable stay and the staff was helpful and polite. The elevator seems really old and operates super slowly. You can tell the building might be an older one, but it's at least kept nicely and the rooms were clean.
- 5/5
The room for disabled people is perfect. Thank you
- 5/5
We were put in room 212. It was very clean, beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows, perfect amount of coverings. Highest praise for comfort. I was told this was a trial room. 1. Shower doors did not stay closed. They both slid to open position. 2. There was no shelf for putting your own hair products on. 3. There was no shampoo, conditioner or soap containers or dispensers for the shower. Management was very kind and listened to above opportunities for improvement.
- 5/5
Clean room

Liz was the most helpful person, she took great care of us and want to thank her.. Thank you Liz.

This is a perfect location for us.
- 5/5
Clean , updated property with pleasant staff.
- 2/5
I don't know if the hotel was having a bad weekend or if its always like this but our stay was disappointing. The hotel wifi wasnt working so I went down to ask about it, the hotel staff let me know the wifi was out for the building which is not the biggest deal. The women working the front desk gave me a paper with phone numbers to call to troubleshoot the wifi (why am i troubleshooting the hotels wifi? lol). The elevator needs repair asap. It is super slow and the door takes forever to close. Our room smelled like it wasnt cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom hadnt been swept correctly and towels didnt smell clean. We stayed 3 nights and they only came and cleaned the room once. I noticed half the 2nd floor rooms hadnt been cleaned either. I know things happen but the staff made zero attempts to notfiy people of what was going on. We used to pool area for a bit but the pool and sauna were dirty. We just ended up lounging in the sun. Overall im disappointed with how expensive our stay was vs what we actually experienced.
- 5/5
My family and I really enjoyed our stay the staff was really great when my son accidentally burnt himself on the waffle machine the lady there not only patched him up but also gave him extra supplies to care for his burn the breakfast every morning was very good and fresh the man cleaning the pool area was very through and nice we would definitely stay here again thank you so much for making our trip great
- 4/5
Not convenient when we have to bring handicap clients Signs was not clear.. i was a bit lost and disoriented having to push wheelchair around the building
- 3/5
No water in rooms
- 2.5/5
The location is what attracts me to this place. The shower wasn’t draining properly. We ended up standing in water while showering. The shower head didn’t work properly. It seemed like the showerhead was clogged. While checking in,the attendant couldn’t find our reservation and after some time, she passed it on to another employee. They offered breakfast. Unfortunately the food that was supposed to to be hot were cold.

Clean and comfortable. Easy check in, only $10 for parking and breakfast is included .
- 3/5
The thermostat didn't work, and the a/c would not stop. It was very cold in the room.
- 2/5
Not a good stay.
- 2/5
Under construction, staff was so confused. Ask about late check out . Staff said no . I called Marriott and they told me because of my Marriott Silver status I could get late check out if available. Breakfast was a mess. Had to walk across parking lot then it was late then it was back at hotel then it was late .
- 3/5
New remodel but the remodel is bad. Weird white lighting, hard floors means noise from all over. Bed was comfortable and staff was nice. Would likely go to another location.
- 4/5
Clean even though that had a minor bit of construction Pay for parking, no extra mirror in the room for spouse to get ready and lighting was dim. WiFi not good enough for zoom meeting.
- 4/5
Nice place, nice location. Very comfortable bed. But a couple of things. The electric car charges were all broken. Hard cold floors for our dog to sleep on. And the cork screw I borrowed should be replaced.
- 5/5
Room was spacious, clean, and the staff was very helpful. They are remodeling the entrance and breakfast area so the morning buffet was in the adjacent hotel. Don’t know if it was just because it was a borrow kitchen but the food was not up to par.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable stay, staff was friendly and welcoming.Great location, easy check-in, and the breakfast was fresh and convenient. Rooms were tidy, beds comfortable, and overall a smooth stay.Perfect for a quick trip, everything was simple and stress-free.
- 4/5
We stayed in the king room, for one night, not far from where we checked in on the first floor. They are still working on remodel so we had to go to the courtyard for breakfast and on our way out to breakfast, there was a dead roach in the hallway, and my husband, let the front desk clerk know about it. The king room was spacious with two chairs, which we liked. The bathroom counter was kind of small. We did not go to the gym or the hot tub.
- 5/5

Please make sure she sees this as so often during a busy workweek a person like Liz does not realize how much their kindness can impact a customer’s day.

I like the division of the courtyard and the hotel. Gave it an easy understanding of the layout.
- 5/5
Facility remodeled and nice, staff rude.

We stayed 3 nights and saw a small baby cockroach dead on the bathroom floor when we first came in. The AC unit smelled horrible and musty to the point that we asked to switch rooms. The next one smelled better in the room but the bathroom smelled like something died in there. Probably in the wall I’m guessing. And then my son went to use his labtop and a giant cockroach went running over his keyboard. We had only had the labtop out for about an hour.. I couldn’t sleep at all. Cockroaches are everywhere outside at night. They need better pest control for the outter perimeter to limit them getting into the hotel. And the pool is gross with black mold. Staff is friendly. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the cockroach issue. I had insurance for this stay and was DENIED any money back, they don’t cover insect issues what a joke! $120 a night for cockroach infested rooms and hair in the bed upon arrival!

Desk clerk at 8 pm told us he’d put together a little togo breakfast for us to pickup on our way out the door but the overnight guy was clueless. Nice idea but don’t offer and then flake out on it.
- 5/5
The hotel was undergoing a major renovation and the staff and management had thought out and planned around it pretty well.
- 5/5
Good stay, staff is gelpfull checled in quick and good service. Pool was clean and peefect temperature. Close to lot of poi ts of interest, good stay.
- 5/5
Everything was great. I’ve stayed here often and will continue to do so! The breakfast is great.
- 5/5
Very clean, friendly staff, very comfortable

We were visiting my granddaughter and she handled our transportation and meal needs. I've stayed here before and liked it and it's close to where my granddaughter lives.
- 4/5
Very close to Cal Expo State Fair but you have to use Lyft or Uber to get back and forth. Close to freeway on and off ramps. The trains were a little noisy at different times of the day. Nice clean room and service. Oh yes, the AC in my room was fantastic. I need cool temperature cause I melt like chocolate. Thanks for everything.😁
- 5/5
I really think this hotel is excellent. Its as good as the Marriott next door. Staff is excellent. Food excellent. Cleanliness excellent. I do feel it is unfair though to charge for parking because the parking area is meant for customers only. I have never heard of parking being charged for. Tottally unfair. And $250 for deposit is unfair, regardless of getting it back because you have to stillboay for that and its hard enough to pay for the rooms, let alone deposit + parking too. Its unfair

The staff was excellent. Very well kept facility even after undergoing renovation.
- 5/5
They have a great breakfast every day.
- 5/5
Great staff, I spoke with Liz when I was checking out and she was incredibly nice and kind. Whole process was smooth, great breakfast too.
- 5/5
The hotel was super clean. Ac issue was addressed and fixed promptly. Breakfast was fresh and attendants were friendly. It was quiet and clean. Front desk staff were very friendly. It was a great hotel. Loved being located by the river. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Spacious and pet friendly! Staff was kind and we appreciated the free breakfast which had plenty of options to choose from! Would stay again when traveling to the bay.
- 2/5
Shower had mold and dirt. I was charged 10 dollars for parking my car that was not disclosed when reserving room.
- 2/5
It was perfect until the check-in host in advance request initiated by myself, approved a late check out and advise not to worry due to attendance of my family and I visiting for my daughter's graduation at Golden 1 center for her Masters. After calling being me bring belligerent and very rude and advised of a $50 dollar late check out fee. Then lied and stated it wouldn't be charged and done so anyway as its not even listed on my bill.

Felt safe in the area. Hotel is remodeling so everything looks new. Room was clean. Pool was nice and heated. Good breakfast selections. Close to freeway and shopping centers (Arden mall) Can hop over to Marriott (sister hotel) next to them for Starbucks or bar. Cons: Parking fee - $10 per night, which isn’t too bad compare to other hotel pricings. Train comes by every so often throughout the day, so if you are staying longer than 1 night or staying in most of the time, it might be a bother or nuisance to you. Only one kitchen person work breakfast so be prepare for slow service. Currently doing remodeling, so it’s kinda dusty and the noise might bother some people. We personally wasn’t bother by it since it was only one first floor and we had a room on the 3rd. No restaurants near by walking distance.
- 2/5
Property was under renovations which were unaware of until we arrived. Our room was not ready at check-in time - it wasn’t ready until over an hour later. The pool was not very clean and our room did not have a hair dryer. The hotel was fine for our visit but we won’t be going back.
- 4/5
The room was comfortable but design choices need adjustment. We were told it was a newly renovated room but shower head was broken and only had one chair in room and only one luggage holder.
- 3/5
The property is undergoing renovation, it should be specifically mentioned in the ad
- 2/5
Under construction and very poor rooms and no WiFi this trip, stayed here many times in past but this was the last, gone down hill badly
- 5/5
Standard, but great. Excellent and friendly staff. Convenient location and parking, location felt much safer than other hotels. Room was clean, bed was comfortable! No complaints. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was fine. Exactly what we want.
- 4/5
Front desk staff were helpful and communicated well before and upon my arrival. Shout out to Maria at check in for letting me borrow an outlet box to charge my phone!

Parking cost
- 5/5
We first checked in we unfortunately got a room that somebody in, but when we called to the front desk, the gentleman that was more courteous and helped us get in a different room.
- 5/5
Great for a short tournament stay. Breakfast was plentiful. Let us check in a little early.
- 5/5
Big shout out to Liz at the front desk!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Fairfield Cal Expo! The highlight of my experience was the outstanding customer service from Liz at the front desk—she greeted me with warmth and kindness every single morning during my week-long stay. Big shoutout to Liz (or Lisa)! I’ll definitely be returning to this location. The service was top-notch, the room was spotless and comfortable, parking was easy and accessible, the amenities were great, and the location was super convenient—close to everything I needed.
- 5/5
María at the reception was really nice and helpful!!
- 3/5
Upon check in, staff was very rude. The lady made eye contact but refused to acknowledge my presence. I had to make conversation to check in. Woman acted as if I bother her. In addition, two men standing behind the counter conversated and also ignored two couples trying to check in. Horrible first experience after a 4-hour car trip.
- 5/5
Room was fine, bed was pretty hard, sheets were not as soft as they should be for the price of the room. Dark hair on the bathroom floor. 🤔
- 5/5
good no complain
- 5/5
The experience at hotel was exceptional.

If you are planning to stay at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott, please note that the hotel appears to be a bit older and the noise/sound controls that seem to be present in newer hotels are not built in to the Fairfield. Noise travels quite a bit and we were able to hear the next room talking, the television and the music (unfortunately at 3am). We called the front desk to see if they could ask the room to reduce the noise and the lady we spoke with was very accomodating and the music was turned off almost immediately. I have no issues with the service but it just seemed the hotel does not have some of the modern 'noise cancelling' controls in place. There is another Marriott property in the same location so perhaps it might be a better option if location is a deciding factor.

Overall an okay place to crash. Felt safe. Nothing special or above average. The ice machine was broken and made a loud buzzing sound that made it difficult to sleep but I’m assuming that was a one off. Staff was polite. Little pricey for nothing above average.
- 5/5
The front desk clerk Alejandra was amazing, she was helpful and polite. She made sure we had everything we needed after a long day.
- 4/5
The staff was great. The place itself needs better cleaning
- 5/5
My stay was good. But the first day I was there about 10 cop cars showed up. They didn’t give a parking pass my first. My car could have been tow away
- 5/5
I had such a welcome feeling while staying at this Fairfield Inn. I have stayed at 3others in different states but this was the nicest by far! The staff was so warm, friendly and helpful-everyone at the front desk, in the breakfast room and the room cleaning staff as well. It really was homey in the nicest sense of the word. And, so lovely and quiet. I will definitely return at the next opportunity.
- 3/5
Also, the internet did not work the whole time I was there - 3 days. The room was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good, though.

🤣 ❤️🔥
- 3/5
Dated hotel, also parking is not free.
- 5/5
The nice lady at the front desk was awesome! Super friendly and warm and made our stay so much better. I will come back.
- 2/5
Not worth the price, the rooms are outdated and dirty. Old broken furniture and decor. I’m unsure how this has a decent rating
- 5/5
Just what i would expect from a Marriott property
- 5/5
The hotel was fine in all aspects. The only downside was its proximity to railroad tracks. Each night, trains went by several times and used their air horns as they passed through the area where the hotel was located.
- 5/5
We had an amazing, clean comfortable stay, we definitely recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Rooms in the 100 group are located by train track and trains are blowing their horns at all times of the night and morning.
- 5/5
Nice room
- 4/5
This property is great. Very convenient to the Expo Center. Only issue was the front lobby door. Every time it opened felt it was going break.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Friendly staff and good food
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable and ample pillows.
- 5/5
Everything was easy, Check in, Check out, Breakfast
- 4/5
Toiletries were minimal but sufficient Overall a clean, safe space for this single female traveler
- 1/5
Its dirty and stinky. It looks nothing like the pictures.
- 5/5
The front desk was very helpful
- 4/5
Parking is too expensive
- 5/5
Overall, everything was good. There was a definite need for some deep cleaning in the lobby, but that happens. Breakfast left a lot to be desired - the eggs were a weird consistency and tasted more like a hard boiled egg. Coffee wasn't good, but i appreciate the non-dairy milk option.
- 4/5
No food places close by( within walking distance)
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room

Everything was good. Would like to have had a better selection of breakfast items, but thankful breakfast was included.
- 5/5
Awesome stay
- 4/5
Quiet and clean!
- 5/5
Staff was jovial, courteous and friendly. The desk and maintenance team members went out of their way providing me with a tiny screwdriver to make a repair to photographic equipment. Kindness beyond measure.
- 1/5
Rooms are really old and looks very cheap.
- 3/5
Plus I'm uncomfortable with the area.
- 4/5
Tidy neat place, great size of rooms. Neighborhood is isolated from places to eat.
- 5/5
I was impressed by the decor of the common areas. My room was very tasteful and relaxing.
