I did not expect the full kitchen and all the plates, utensils etc that came with the room. The room was spacious and clean and staff were helpful! Hot breakfast was great and was included in the room rate. I would recommend this hotel anytime! The only drawback is the $10/night parking fee.

We had a great stay in one of the suites. We had an easy check in with zero issues. We loved how we were a close uber ride to downtown. We will book this hotel in the future.

Staff was very caring and always willing to help. Christian was amazing, their was some minor things which I listed below. With that being said. They will not hold me back from staying here. Staff was amazing One of the blanket was dirty we didn't use and bathroom shower had hair on the floor may have not been rinsed properly.

They didn’t clean our room for four days that we were there. If you needed anything you had to go the front desk and get it. There was a party next door keeping us up. All they could do is leave a note under the door. There wasn’t any security before midnight. Don’t seem like they care much for your security or quality of your sleep.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 4/5
Nice hotel but too full people eat breakfast and parking lot too The parking too full on weekend
- 4/5
I appreciate that breakfast is included. Great bargain for the price
- 5/5
My son was involved with a Sacramento county fair in this location was so convenient just about a mile away. It was so nice to come back to our clean room with air conditioner, swimming pool, laundry, facilities, ice, etc. having breakfast included was nice as well.
- 5/5
The hotel is safe and quiet.
- 3/5
TV in my room didn't work and it wasn't too clean but i was only there for 1 night so i just pushed through. It was also super noisy throughout the night.
- 5/5
Loved the suites with a kitchen. Tons of room.
- 5/5
I had a great stay clean room staff were sweet I stayed there alone and didn’t have any problems,it was a 10/10 for me.
- 5/5
Destiny and Sonia made check in a breeze. Their positive attitudes and carrying demeanors, were superb! We came for my aunt's funeral, and they were so kind and caring. When out of their way to make us laugh, it was very lovely! My only recommendation would be to maybe get a little softer couch in the suite. Thank you for hosting three families that came down from oregon for the services of my aunt. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

The property itself is very old. Their attempt to update the interior was half hearted at best. Every door I heard open (which it seemed was every one on my floor) stuck, due to over application of paint, I’d assume. I heard every…single…noise. A sneeze, a conversation, a door open or slam shut, kids being loud, a toilet flush, the train….all of it. Oh, and the annoying smell of stale cigarette smoke was quite off putting. The staff was friendly enough. I didn’t have much engagement with them aside from check in and check out. The basic continental breakfast looked like a typical offering. I did not partake, so I can’t rate that. To end, I’ll say that the bed was ok, the water was hot, and the microwave worked and my car didn’t get broken in to. So, if that’s what you’re looking for, it will check all the boxes.

The place is old and needs lots of updates

The sofa was purportedly for an adult but it would only be adequate for a child.

Stay was fine. Only complaint was the sofa bed was less of a bed and more like a slab of wood with leather on top. Wouldn't recommend booking with the intent of using it as an actual bed.

Made me pay a $25 “early check in fee” for checking in before 3:00. It was 2:45. Also, they charge $10 a night for parking. There is ample parking. It’s not downtown or in an area that a parking fee is expected.
- 5/5
They do offer breakfast but we had to leave before it began. The room was wonderful. The water got nice and hot in the shower.
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and made my check in very easy and smooth. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Kash was very kind
- 1/5
During our stay, an unknown individual entered our room and closed the door behind him. It was only when I tried to re-enter that he came out. The hotel later called it a “mistake,” but that explanation doesn’t align with what happened. We also encountered individuals lingering in common areas, including stairwells, which made my family uncomfortable enough to avoid parts of the property. We ultimately left early and did not stay our final night. What was most disappointing was the lack of follow-up from management despite multiple attempts to reach them. I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
The room does not provide hand soap, TV is not mounted where it’s easy to view.
- 5/5
This was one of my favorite stays. As a solo passenger, I enjoyed myself. The staff was very friendly and the room was so nice.

- 5/5
Nice location
- 4/5
No security in the parking lot. The stove is electric. Good Luck cooking. The shower head pressure is low.
- 3/5
Staff did not let you know you had to pay for parking it was on my invoice when I checked out
- 3/5
Continental breakfast was not good!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!!!

Great breafast
- 3/5
The only strong point of TownePlace Suites near Cal Expo is the convenient location. Unfortunately, the property feels outdated and my room (3108) was messy. The shower backsplash was cracked, the toilet paper holder misaligned, and the carpet worn. I emailed photos to the front desk manager, Alison, as requested, but never received a response. There was also a false fire alarm one night. Overall, there is significant room for improvement in both maintenance and customer service.
- 5/5
We stayed only one night - came in around 8:30 pm and head to leaver before the breakfast so our experience is very brief. Bit we enjoyed the stay - the room was spacious and what was most important- quiet! - so we get good sleep before the tournament.
- 5/5
I would stay again!
- 2/5
The bed was very uncomfortable. When we arrived there was broken glass in the parking lot. We felt like our car wasn't going to be safe. The room was clean. The TV was off to the side, blocked view from the bed. Staff was nice. Very convenient for going to CalExpo. But I wouldn't recommend.
- 3/5
The breakfast was sub standard food compared to previous years
- 5/5
Excellent, thanks!

Ac panels were not working.

非常不好的酒店 已经开了一天的车了 很累! 还非要 拿着停车permit 放回到车里 很不合理
- 5/5
Yes!!!
- 2/5
Surprised there was no business center or lobby coffee in the evening.
- 4/5
The check in staff went out of their way to help us check in a bit earlier. The suite was absolutely amazing. The property is beautiful, while a little noisy due to the other Marriott properties near by.
- 3/5
There are ants everywhere, heater not working, no bedding sheets for the sofa bed. Have to go to front desk to ask for the sheets. Only one roll of toilet tissue in bathroom, no facial tissue, the floor is sticky and carpet appear not vacuum at all.
- 5/5
Room was spectacular, staff was great!
- 4/5
The front desk staff was extremely kind and considerate. The lady working the breakfast was constantly on top of refilling everything and even checked in with guests to make sure they had everything they needed.
- 5/5
Again thank you guys!
- 3/5
I end up getting sick, the room above us were playing music and smacking weed. We couldn't sleep and also the smell made to where we staying. The hotel is beautiful and I wished we could've enjoy it more if it wasn't for that incident.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Did not use kitchen for cooking. Breakfast was fair to good. Appreciated oatmeal with almond milk and toppings as options.
- 5/5
Staff were courteous, rooms were clean.
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean room and the staff were very friendly
- 3/5
Beds were full size, not queen as claimed. Front desk service was great. Breakfast was not so great. Waffle batter was like water, and just about empty. when we asked if they could put fresh batter... the lady took the bowl of batter drippings out from under the tap and dumped that back into the waffle batter container and said there you go, its got batter now. Utterly DISGUSTING. Who knows how long that had been sitting there.... so gross. Juices tasted watered down, and oatmeal was lukewarm and runny.
- 5/5
Always a great stay at this Hotel brand.
- 5/5
Was great! Great staff great room
- 4/5
Very spacious room and comfortable beds. Kitchen was adequately equipped and further equipment could be borrowed. The onsite laundry was great - and the outdoor pool looked amazing. As others have said, parking was an additional $10 - and with the window open, there was some traffic noise - but overall, comfortable and convenient.
- 3/5
Could be better for a price
- 5/5
Very comfortable and quiet...staff friendly...thank you!
- 3/5
Staff were great , construction crews were messy( trails of trash from elevator down the hallways ,and working too late for me. Construction crews held up elevators for 15 plus minutes at a time Heard drill motors installing stuff up to 830 pm . And figuring out the entrance to the property was challenging
- 5/5
Very nice staff definitely available when extremely clean rooms kitchenets in here.Good too.
- 2/5
No shower curtain or Body Wash in bathroom. Rooms are not checked for completeness.
- 3/5
When I booked 2 suits I was not told that they was under construction. The couch in the suits was really uncomfortable, all the doors was dirty. Their breckfast has no consideration for people that doesn't eat breakfast.parking was a nightmare!!! Other them that it .
- 5/5
Staff was Very nice and friendly
- 5/5
The 1 bedroom and Studio suites are very clean and spacious. The breakfast was fresh and hot! And the staff was the nicest I have encountered in a LONG time. The staff gets 5 stars!
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean, very modern kitchen's very convenient staff. Very nice location, perfect for all different activities.
- 5/5
Room was nice and James was kind and attentive. My only minor complaint was the pull-out couch was uncomfortable. Maybe I didn't set it up right.
- 5/5
Experience was very good, coming in late one night parking was tenuous but found a spot. Overall a 9.8 out of ten.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Rolling Shower door was opening always while taking a shower
- 5/5
Driving distance to a choice of restaurants and activities.
- 5/5
Too secluded for those without rides
- 2/5
Too many hidden fees not seen in other local hotels. They also charged for parking, something I never paid on other Marriott locations.
- 4/5
The car park is the problem in there you pay for parking is no parking close to the Hotel
- 5/5
Staff was very nice while checking in and the rooms are very spacious.
- 3/5
Room was run down. Toilet ran on and off throughout the night. Nightstand only on one side of bed. TV location was bad. Why is the bathroom door self closing? The price was great so I guess you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
I like this property.
- 5/5
very clean
- 4/5
Arrived to a very cold lobby ( 102f outside), it was so welcoming. Thank you. Check in smoothly. Room was a little worn but beds were so darn comfortable.
- 5/5
Lots of restaurants nearby
- 3/5
I like the location
- 4/5
Great place to stay. Very nice staff. Only problem was the parking at night. People was parking there to go to Marriott next door when parking clearly say Townplace place parking only. Had to park at the far end of hotel.
- 5/5
Best experience
- 5/5
Nice place for a short stay
- 4/5
comfortable.enjoyed kitchenette.
- 4/5
Overall, the hotel was nice, felt safe and it was quiet. Staff was very nice, greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I would suggest a sign in the parking lot directing to the hotel lobby. There are 2 hotels right next to each other and it's confusing.
- 4/5
Wonderful room, bed and bathroom were clean. Loved the kitchenette. The carpet could use a cleaning. The breakfast was good for a buffet style. Loved being able to make our own waffles.
- 4/5
Hotel room was nice, clean and had a full equipped kitchenette, including dishwasher, lots of storage, no complaints on room, staff was friendly and welcoming, my only complaint was the pool it was very cloudy , didn’t look safe to swim and my kids were looking forward to swimming
- 5/5
Clean room, fresh smell in hallways
- 5/5
All of the staff there went above and beyond for me. The gentlemen who checked me in was super friendly and gave me some water. And during breakfast a lady offered to get me a blanket for my baby so he could play on the floor. Room was super clean and nice. I would definitely come back.
- 5/5
A bit confusing to distinguish between the two Marriott's being in the same area, not clearly marked. The are a few tripping hazards of bush stumps behind parking spots. We parked in backwards and when accessed our truck at night, stumbled on one about 4", next day noticed there were quite a few. Overall, a great experience.
- 5/5
Everything you'd expect in a stay and then some. From curtesy staff at check in to stay in the room. Like being at home.
- 4/5
We stayed here a few times during past state fairs. It’s always a nice and quiet hotel to stay in..
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Nice friendly staff. Very accommodating:)) Well maintained facility with breakfast. Close to Cal Expo… Costco is also just 3mins drive( our favorite store). Thank you! Alison!!
- 5/5
Loved the kitchen
- 5/5
Near by everything i needed to be
- 3/5
Very poor parking. We had to walk a long ways to get to our room. We had to park in the middle of the street to register. Anything we wanted to buy, like soda or snacks only takes credit card. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean but not worth the price.
- 4/5
For a last minute 2 day stay it was very convenient. Near the places we wanted to go. We got the suite with 2 bedrooms. The ac worked despite them looking dilapidated with missing vents which is good enough for me. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with warm food and hot and cold beverages.
- 5/5
Staff was really nice and rooms were great
- 5/5
Great amenities for the price
- 5/5
Great hotel so long as you are aware of train and road noise.
- 5/5
The property is in a group of hotels by Marriott. The hotel is fine so long as you get a room without train or road noise as the walls are thin.
- 5/5
Front desk was amazing and the breakfast was good .
- 3/5
Marriott TownePlace was nice to place to stay. All the staff were friendly and kind. The only thing that made it a 3 star was the room I got was right by an entrance and right next to a the supply room that we heard everthing all night long.
- 4/5
Loved the continental breakfast

2. spacious 3. well appointed room 4. friendly staff
- 5/5
The place was clean. The beds were comfortable. We had a suite with refrigerator, stove, and microwave, which save us a lot. We were able to prepare meals on the days we didn’t dined out. The continental breakfast was on point real breakfast eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fruits, bacon, sausages my family, and I was very comfortable. Enjoy our stay. The staff were very friendly, it felt like a family
- 5/5
Perfect place everything was as expected
- 5/5
Good stay. Very convenient. Wonderful staff
- 5/5
The suite was a gem. Only complaint was an odd fish scent down one of the halls. Everything else was tip top. Special call out to Carly at the front desk for exceptional customer service and information about J street.
- 4/5
The place was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Got a kitchenette which was a surprise. It was great
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing experience. Cleanliness is the best. Everything that was stated they have.
- 5/5
Our first 2nights our room was great, third night was a different room and the bed was horrible, sunk down in middle and very worn out. Other then that the place wax great! Friendly staff , clean, nice breakfast safe location
- 5/5
All was great!
- 5/5
This hotel is our new favorite Marriott property in Sacramento.
- 5/5
Christian was an outstanding, one-of-a-kind individual, who was ready and able to address the number of concerns that me and my brother had been curious about while at our stay. We are thankful for his service and hospitality.
- 3/5
Room was comfortable except that the bed should have had a warmer comforter, never was able to sleep well because the blanket was too thin. Also, the water in the shower never got warmer than lukewarm. Need to have a hot shower and couldn't get it at this hotel.
- 1/5
The girl with the septum piercing at the front desk was rude for no apparent reason, the parking was an and it was another $10 dollar charge. No water bottles inside of the room considering it was $230 a night.
- 4/5
Provided what we needed but there were small things like no trash can in the bathroom, beds were way way too soft and uncovered electrical outlets that we did not like. Parking was easy and it was close to the fwy.
- 4/5
This was the second time staying at this property. The staff is very good and helpful. The hotel is clean, comfortable, easy access to getting around. It’s quiet, however it is on a train line which 6 trains come through each night. Didn’t bother us. Nice kitchen.
- 5/5
It was very clean although I found shampoo to be old
- 5/5
Awesomeness
- 5/5
Ii
- 3/5
Only issue we had was no one came to clean the room and we didn’t have a do not disturb on the door. Maybe I just don’t know how it works at this hotel but I’ve never had to ask a hotel to make the bed, bring clean towels and pick up the dirty towels. We were out all day and expected this to be done by the time we returned and it wasn’t.
- 4/5
We stay in sac a lot for appointments everything was great.. had an issue with the heat but it was quickly resolved
- 2/5
Complained to front desk and agent was very apologetic about it and put me into another room. 2nd room was better smelling BUT!!!!! WHY as soon as I opened the door, a damn cockroach decided to run from dishwasher area and stop to basically greet me right in my tracks!!!! I couldn’t stop myself and stomped on it and was just beside myself! It was SO late, I couldn’t move anywhere else because the conference I was attending took all the hotels. I checked for bed bugs, and Lysol sprayed my bed and went to the closest Target to get a sleeping bag to sleep in. Never again!!!! I complained to staff and all they offered was complimentary snacks. They were apologetic but, can tell couldn’t do much.
- 5/5
Other than the train is great. Good room.
- 5/5
Quiet except for train. Great room and good breakfast.
- 1/5
Rooms are super dirty! And the staff are super rude and inconsiderate.
- 2/5
I booked 3 rooms that STATED Queen beds but they were definitely only a Full size and all 3 rooms smelled dingy and like smoke and the "sofa bed" was so hard to put into a "bed" position and when we did it was so hard like a flat board. I was so disappointed for this hotel to be a Towns Suite by Marriott
- 4/5
Clean and quiet hotel. Love the design of the room. Very modern.
- 4/5

Very nice place. My parents were super happy. Very clean, comfortable hotel and area.
- 3/5
Hotel was in good conditions and clean. The only problem was that there is a train near by that was very loud and made it hard to fall asleep. Besides that everything was good.
- 3/5
No cleaning service. You need to schedule ahead which i did on the second day but nothing.
- 4/5
Front desk clerk was helpful @ check-in. He gave us 2 blankets, shared information with us, answered our questions & fast checking us in
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Close to restaurant with great food and drinks.
- 4/5
Overall the property was perfect for what I needed it for.
- 5/5
Continental breakfast was delicious
- 4/5
When I got into the room, I noticed that the controls on the wall that were supposed to control the heater Did not work so I called her up. It was a one bedroom so After I ate, I went into the room to notice that there was a hole in the wall. I called the front desk lady and showed her. She said if I wanted to move room that would be OK and I told her it’s fine. I just wanted to show you guys and she explained that they have been getting renovations and that room was one that did not get renovated, which made me question why they put me in it but she claimed that was the last room left for a one bedroom. With all that being said, they did take it $200 deposit which is almost 2 weeks later and I still have not received back. This is the longest wait time I’ve ever had to wait for a deposit and they did not care to be kind sensitive about me wanting my deposit back. They just kept blurting out. It could take up to two weeks when I called.
- 1/5
We had a room directly next to the elevators and it was extremely loud. Worse nights. Could not sleep at all.
