The hotel is right across the street from the hospital; we were staying to support someone admitted for several days. Parking is free and it is easy to walk to the hospital. The room was spacious and VERY quiet! It was clean and the housekeeping service was good each day. The host was very welcoming; everything was truly "no problem". The furniture in the room is older and kind of saggy. The breakfast was pretty limited which is okay given the price, The other factors above far outweigh any negatives.

This place is disgusting. I arrived and there was several large gross stains on the bedding. I asked for a new room, and it was the same thing - filthy, unsafe conditions with gross stained bedding. So I left on the spot and found another place to stay. I’ll be demanding a refund from Hotels.com for failing to properly inform me of the horrific condition of this property.

The hotel is well-maintained. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is conveniently located across from the UC Davis hospital. This has been said in other reviews, the parking garage is very tight going down to the lower level. I maybe had inches to spare avoiding my vehicle being scratched. So, with some good driving skills it can be managed but for those who are driving challenged this is not for you. There are not any other options for parking. Street parking is permitted.

A very steep driveway downward into a small area that accommodates roughly 12 matchbox size cars. If you drive an SUV, even a compact SUV, you are in big trouble. The hotel has a good location but has become very tired over the years. I have stayed here annually since 2012 and it has slowly become less and less inhabitable. The second-floor carpets were hard to even look at, they were so dirty, and the room furniture fabric was unravelling, and unsightly. The morning breakfast was devoid of any semblance of sausage, or bacon, or eggs. Just prepackaged pastries and cold cereal and the ever-present make it yourself waffle. It's OK if you need this location in the medical district, but a mere shadow of itself from years gone by.

I had a late check in since it was an unexpected trip to Sacramento. I was glad to get a hotel room, but when it took over 10mins and many rings of the outdoor bell for the desk clerk to wake up and open the exterior door for me, I was cold and not impressed. Took what seemed an unnecessary long time to check in, I had to wait for the clerk to show my boyfriend where he could park (which was directly in front of where he had been waiting). The hallways had a funky smell, not clean, not rancid, but not appealing. The room was to be expected, except not very clean. Stains on the upholstered pillows and black marks (or substance) on the shower walls. Overall did not feel as though it was a well sanitized room or hotel in general. The long wait time in the beginning definitely did not help. I will not be back at this hotel nor recommend.

I was very happy to find a hotel just across from the hospital where I was to have surgery; I needed to be at the hospital by 5:00am. The family member with me worked the day before, so we could not arrive until 10:00 pm or so the evening before surgery. The clerk was polite, cheerful, and very helpful sorting out parking for a large pickup truck in the enclosed basement parking area, We didn't need to use the hospital parking garage, and my family member could walk across the street to the hotel for his shower and a more relaxed start to his day after I was headed into surgery. A typical continental breakfast was served 6-9am.

The underground parking is small with spaces for compact car size only, nestled among support columns, that makes it difficult to maneuver. The breakfast has cereals, bread, yogurt, and cold cooked eggs, no fruits; so little that nobody bothered to eat. The hallway carpet smelled moldy and was dirty. The check in process was slow. Got another and it didn’t work again so maintenance guy had to replace card reader on door. Really nice people but this was not as advertised. Parking is horrible. Breakfast was decent. Definitely not going to ever stay there again.

    2) fire alarm malfunctioned twice in the middle of the night. They eventually silenced the siren, but the alarm in my room made a loud click all night long, keeping me from sleeping. The elevator was disabled by the fire alarm system, so we had to use the stairs to the fourth floor. This was not repaired until late the next day. 3) very limited choice of breakfast food. 4) Manager and staff were extremely unhelpful

We always stay here when visiting family. It’s affordable and has a garage. Good value.

Hallways were hot, smelled, and the carpets were incredibly stained. Not well cared for. Parking is very limited, tight spaces, underground with steep entry...not recommended for large vehicles.

Overall it was good. I just had issues trying to access the property on the first day. We arrived late at night and we had to wait like 15 min on the street until someone opened the door for us.

Love this hotel! It’s very convenient for all things midtown Sacramento. Bed’s are always comfy and super plus to have a fridge and microwave. Always my go to hotel for Sacramento.

I had stayed there before and couldn't sleep because the room was right on the street. Asked for a room away from the street on the next visit and it was still just as noisy. Also carpet in the hallways still dirty

Across the street from UC Davis Medical Center. The negatives are poor water pressure in shower and difficult parking garage to negotiate. But it was very convenient for us.

Pro was the room was neat, clean and well maintained. Cons were the carpet on hallway & stairway was filthy, and parking was hard to navigate. The free breakfast was fair but missing knives, batter for the waffle maker, and fruit.

Right across the street from the hospital parking garage. Hotel was decent, parking is underground and very tight turns and spaces. If you have a large vehicle park across the street at the hospital garage. Had some trouble with the shower but was only there one night. Pretty quick place even though you are so close to the hospital.

Absolutely disgusting room , the shower had hair and mold everywhere! The carpet was filthy! The breakfast , the orange juice machine has not been cleaned in a very long time it came out in clumps , The bread, pastries were stale , absolutely gross, I was too exhausted and overwhelmed by my mother being at UCDavis for her breaking her neck to complain. I will Never stay there again nor would I refer anyone to this hotel beyond gross

The service here is horrible, everytime I go to the front desk, the service was bad. Don’t seem like they want to help. Answering questions with attitude. Had WiFi issue and went to the desk multiple times with no help at all. Was told to read the paper in the room.

What you would expect in a standard hotel, nothing above average. Attendant that checked me in was patient and helped through an issue. It was noisy, and my TV turned on a 2:30 in the AM all blinds were shut, and remote was on dresser. My neighbor mentioned he had a bug in his tub. The coffee wasn't great but you can't complain too much about a hotel free breakfast. Also there is literally nothing around, it's like a mile away just to get food, Uber's are not cheap. And everyhouse surrounding my room can see inside. Multiple people throughout the night stopped to throw their trash in the hotels dumpster like they knew they can do that without getting caught. Different cars throughout the night. On one night a helicopter was hoovering for at least 10 minutes. I'm a light sleeper so between the helicopter and the ghost i got no sleep lol.

Decent experience. Room was large and clean. Nice to have the maid make up the room everyday. Beds were fairly comfortable. Property is a little run down but they are making a nice effort to upgrade. The shower had no water pressure but did the job. Shower stall was very old and kinda stained. 3rd floor area by elevator was really run down and kinda gross looking. Room had a balcony which was really neat to step out and get some air. Great choice of tv channels. Walking distance to the hospital so I didn’t need a rental car.

Very convenient to Medical center. Breakfast was simple and easy. Neighborhood not safe after dark..."high vagrant" population not necessarily seen during daylight. Advised by hospital security to not walk but use shuttle even though just a block walk.

It’s ok. Not terrible. Not great. Best part is its location related to UC DAVIS Med Center. Parking is atrocious. So little space. I’d stay there again. Feel it’s a little expensive considering I’m assuming the most people that stay there is because they have a loved one in the hospital like in my case.

We had two rooms. One on the street side and the other on the back side of the hotel. The noise level is like night and day. If you want quiet reserve a room off the street. Otherwise a nice place for UC Davis patients.
