Reviews
The hotel is located in a high poverty area with a significant presence of homeless individuals, leading to safety concerns for some guests. The hotel is reasonably priced and clean, with comfortable beds, but experiences issues with noise at night due to people arguing and yelling outside. Some guests have reported stained bedding and unpleasant smells in their rooms.

Typical motel 6. but in a sketchy area so we left after suspicious activity happened in the alley next to our room. Checked out after 30 mins and found another hotel. Oh well.
- 1/5
The bathroom sink and shower had hair from the previous bookie. The paint was chipping around the doors and bed. Our TV was also not reliable. Not worth it even for a motel 6, might as well as pay a little more somewhere else.

The staff up front was very helpful, but something to be aware of before you choose this location, however, the streets are littered with homeless people. The location is great being in midtown and across from an IHOP, but just know you won't be the only guests there.

It's bad don't rent from there it's nasty

I didn’t even check in. The area looks super sketchy. I didn’t feel safe, leaving my car to go check in and then walk aalone to a room.

Beds were comfortable and price was good Bathroom floor had white stuff on it like something off the wall but was never cleaned and people yelling outside late at night
- 0.5/5
I liked the price, that's it. As soon as we checked in the smell of cigarettes hit our noses, the floors were FILTHY, foot prints and all, the show had a leak and when you took one water went everywhere. I asked for a new room but the female manager seemed bothered by it, showed me two additional rooms that were worse than the first one. Our neighbors were obvious drug addicts smoking inside and outside the room. No microwave, no fridge, roaches outside, and half of my electric outlets didn't even work. Never coming back here, I would rather sleep in my car.
- 5/5
Great location, some rooms have damaged flooring or cracked tv screen images, but employees willing to switch to another room. NO Unregistered Guests at night.

This hotel is in a bad area. It has a lot of homeless people hang around there. I would not recommend this to another person. But for $59 I had no other choice to go there. The people in the room next to me were really loud and I cannot sleep. I asked the front desk if I could get a later check out so I can sleep and they did not accommodate me.
- 1/5
More like a shelter for homeless people or drug addicts. Strange people, yelling and swearing, homeless people walking around. Near the door of my room they installed a fence 1 meter away ! do you think this place is safe ? this motel doesn't even have a microwave, so I couldn't heat anything. !!

It was disappointing there was a bum who showed my 4 year old his private parts. There were needle caps all over the ground. There was prostitution going on right in the parking lot the security guard was out yelling and included in the drama with the guests. It was the worst experience ever
- 1/5
Room was dirty, shower door was falling off hinges, bed was dirty, one towel and one wash cloth in the room, people fighting and partying outside all night till 4am with small children playing in the parking lot unattended. This is not a safe place and shouldnt be on hotels.com. I would appreciate a full refund or credit to my account
- 1/5
So arriving to the property was okay seemed safe and comfortable staff (Brandon) was great, made me feel good about the property. Went to the room to drop off belongings pretty small for 2 beds and it was a handicap room had no space for someone in a wheelchair. We went to the bathroom sink was hanging off the wall in poor repair. Shower head was taped up in place not adjustable and the head holder was loose and flimsy. We went to our event came back went to bed around 11pm woke up around 330 am to running water and property disturbance people arguing no security on site or staff addressing the issue i got up to see what the water was it was coming from up stairs ceiling was bubbling and fan was leaking water didnt want to wake my family so as soon as the shower stopped it quit so went back to bed next morning addressed the issues with property i assume she was the morning management or owner she was unaware of the problems in this room this can not be the first time. She would not refund or discount because i booked through and out side source.
- 2/5
Staff had no concern for guests. The rooms were fairly clean. Mold in bathroom, corners. TV remote was not responsive had to turn off because it was set for someone's quick connect and the camera was on for my privacy to be compromised. Neighbors were intrusive and blatantly over imposing as they constantly created disturbances to disrupt my stay. Staff did nothing. My wifi was constantly being trapped by other parties and used to detect what I was either watching or running in my background features. Not one shread of privacy. Felt as if my security and safety was compromised and in danger of being caught in an altercation or theft. Not recommending this hotel ever .
- 3/5
We went because it is pet friendly. But the location is sketchy and we did not stay.

Not the worst place but it was a very loud area due to traffic and people yelling. Bathroom had mold on the walls. Lacked amenities such as a fridge, microwave, coffee pot.
- 1/5
The key card wouldn’t work anytime I left the room. This is the 2nd room they put me in and it still had issues. The first room had a tv that wouldn’t work either. The girl at the front desk refused to get me a manager and was rude. Would like a refund. Horrible customer service here.

I was asked to present my card when I got there concierge front desk person told me it appeared as I had already checked in. I went to the room. I was given, the television was on the room, reeked of cigarette smoke, and cockroaches went scattering when I clicked a light, went back to the front desk, asked for my refund and left

Ony check out day I saw the bedsheets stained with blood and the towels and hand towels given were stained with yellow spots-- the extra towels given weren't any better-- there's lots of homeless and gross men call calling and watching me go into my room-- I stayed for 2 night and my key card locked out day 1 I had to go to the office with the men creeping nearby

I liked this hotel but didn’t love it. You get what you pay for. For $65 per night, why not? The location is ok. The room was clean. Good enough but not great.

The website photos clearly are false advertisement there is nothing remotely similar to what is presented online

My only issue with this location is the management. I homeless and been staying at motel 6 locations and this one charged at least 3x. I’d make a reservation online and when I went to update my key card they’d asked for my credit card. At the time I did t think anything of it. But they charged that card and I got cr

Instead made a note that I checked out at 2 pm. I was by in Vegas by that time because I drove 7.5hrs back after I checked out
- 3/5
The staff had me waiting for at least 25 minutes told me to come back in 10 -15 minutes and when I came back it was 25 minutes and I still had to wait
- 1/5
Very large homeless population and found a cockroach in the room.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice but I had to check in through a window and not the lobby since I came after 10. I received my $50 deposit back within three days including Sunday. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Rooms did have a heating and a/c unit that worked really well. My family was happy with everything. All in all I would totally stay here again! Also, bring shampoo and conditioner because they do not provide it and we learned that the hard way ): lol
- 1/5
Dirty
- 1/5
The room wasn't very clean. There were hairs from a previous guest on the sheets, some detritus on the floor like house keeping hadn't done a very good job and some broke streaks on the wood paneling. The pictures show these nice, but basic, mosaic need covers, but it's were a plain white. All those things pale in comparison to what happened at night. At night, the homeless and the drug addicts come out. I didn't think they would be that big a deal because the motel is 2 blocks from a very nice suburb, and a couple of miles from Sacramento State University. Boy was I wrong. My friend got up take a shower and when he turned on the light, cockroaches went scattering. They were everywhere. Adults and little ones. It was disgusting. On the bed, crawling on our bags, everywhere. We grabbed our sod and checked out at 1 am. When i told the girl at the desk we wanted to checkout and that they had roaches, she said "ok, bye". If you go to Sacramento, stay anywhere but here. Your car is a better option.
- 1/5
DO NOT BOOK! Place is super dirty they don’t clean the bathrooms have mold really bad the mattress need to be change they are old honestly I do not know how this place is still running the people that were next to us were up until 6 in the morning playing music cussing fighting just the worst
- 5/5
Fast check in, Got a good sleep.
- 5/5
Clean room reasonable price I was very comfortable and so was my dog
- 1/5
Staff were rude, room was destroyed, Heater didn't work IN DECEMBER, no soap or shampoo. Literally the worst hotel ever
- 1/5
The property had dirty stairs and hallways. Room was old, heating unit didn’t work well, zero housekeeping. When I asked for clean towels I was told I needed to wait till 10am for housekeeping. I was not going to be onsite at that time, and requested for the towels to be delivered, it never happened, had go to the office the next morning, and the girl at the front desk finally gave me towels after rolling her eyes. There are crackhouses in better shape than that hotel, with better service too. Worst experience ever. Never again.
- 1/5
My room had the tv on and the pillows were stacked as if someone was.laying on the bed enjoying some soccer. I brushed it off and went to get some food and when i came back it smelt faintly of cigarettes. I got the feeling like someone was coming in my hotel room. So, i promptly packed up my stuff and then i checked out. The hotel clerk offered me a refund and i am hopeful that hotels.cok would honor it.
- 1/5
I’m frequently in Sacramento while my baby is in the NICU at UC Davis, so I booked this hotel because it was close and cheap. Unfortunately, the room was dirty—walls, counters, and windows all had visible grime, and there was a strange smell. I also found multiple gnats and ants on our clothes and bathroom items, and the worst part was waking up to a roach running across the wall. After this, I checked the reviews and realized bugs are a common issue here. They also don’t offer refunds. I do not recommend staying here.
- 1/5
The room had bed bugs.

- 3/5
I was there for 6 nights and despite asking multiple times I never got housekeeping to come by. I had to go ask for clean towels, buy my own toilet paper, and clean the room. There was mold around the shower, the air filters were broken and shoved into the unit, and the door barely closed so it felt insecure every night. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

There’s cockroaches all over the bathroom. Basic Interior and uncomfortable bed. Felt like a homeless shelter to be completely honest.
- 2/5
The bathroom shower had mold around the tub bed was shaking smells like cigarettes
- 1/5
The staff was not so welcoming. I had also called previous to confirm some information and Im 120% sure it was the same location because i got the number from apple maps and compared addresses once i booked through here for the same reason. To find out total Opposite of what i was just told 30 min prior calling. Ice machine was not working, the doors locked and latch worked but were weirdly sticking out which was a major safety concern still. No microwave mini fridge , my fault for not asking or checkingNot staying here again.

Staff support lacking didn’t receive my deposit back
- 1/5
So adjoining rooms and the room door did not lock there was a couple on the other side of the door and when my friend opened the door that's when I knew there was no lock. Then roaches coming from underneath the bed I sprayed and also did other insecticide procedures. Not to mention yelling and screaming till 2:30 in the morning. Left at 2:30 in the morning and told the front desk about the roaches. Which she gasped like she saw a car accident. Motel 6 downtown no!
- 2/5
This is a budget hotel, and functions as such. Rooms are clean, but it's right by the freeway so noisy. When we arrived late in the evening there was a "shift change" and the front desk person was not arround to check us in. Security told us it would be about ten minutes, so we waited outside for the employee to arrive. She was very friendly when she did show up.
- 2/5
The room was missing a shower curtain, oversink light and the tv was very subpar. Had to go .to office several times for help with the tv.Got a shower curtain right away. Also the floor was not very clean. I have not received my $50.00 deposit refund yet either.
- 3/5
Bedding did not have the look of being crisp clean. I hope the sheets were clean. Suggest re thinking the bedding to go for the white linen look.
- 3/5
Motel was close to our concert venue but we did not feel safe walking there. That said, Uber ride was very inexpensive to and from Harlows. No YouTube option on the TV in our room but not a big deal since the room was really cheap. The staff, especially Angelica at the front desk, was very kind and helpful.
- 1/5
I was scared the whole night and when I left to get foo my daughter called me crying saying she saw a roach in the restroom. The next morning I gave my mother a shower and didn't realize the shower chair wasn't ever until she started to slide to the floor. My mother had a stroke a few years ago and couldn't hold stop herself from slipping. I had to call a friend to come help me get her out the shower. I have pictures and videos and currently looking for a lawyer due to this horrible experience. Not to mention they still haven't gave my deposit back

- 2/5
mentally unstable neighbor screaming at invisible people at 1am, lots of other minor disturbances, got fed up and checked out while it was still dark furniture missing cushions wifi wouldnt work
- 2/5
We stayed here because it was near the Aftershock music festival. The room was the worst motel 6 ever. Drapes torn to where people could see into your room. The sheets had many, and I mean many burn holes in them. The bath towels were paper thin and the houskeeping people had very nasty attitudes. The motel was oversold and there not enough parking avaliable. On the positive side, the aircon worked well, the tv had good channel selection, there was a pancake house directly across the street and there was a dedicated pet area with bags.
- 3/5
Please improve.
- 5/5
Ver clean
- 2/5
The room was a stripped down bare minimum room. Nothing extra 1 pillow each and only 1 blanket. No refrigerator. Price was jacked up because it was the festival weekend. On line the room was $69.00 regular price per night! I paid $125.00 per night plus the $50.00 . I wish it wasn't legal to raise prices for special events but they reamed me. To me the place looked like they were stripping it down to demolish it and changed their mind because of Aftershock!! No table one chair. Cost almost $600.00 for a $300.00 room! I will plan better for next year's trip to Aftershock
- 3/5
Did not have an opportunity to stay
- 1/5
This place is really disgusting. Do not stay here. Spend the extra money to stay somewhere a little more pricey. GROSS It is a good thing we can laugh about it now, but at the time it was a MAJOR BUZZ KILL!
- 3/5
Room was okay, the sheets were stained, blankets had cigarette burn holes, bathroom door didn’t lock because the frame had previously been kicked in. It also smelled like cigarettes. Staff was nice though.
- 5/5
Simple, clean rooms. Beds are super comfy. Shower works. What more could you ask for. Great stay on a budget.
- 1/5
It’s a Motel 6 so expectations were low but this place was so much worse than expected. I won’t do a Motel 6 again clearly there brand mgmt does zero inspections of properties they pu their brand on.
- 3/5
REALLY
- 2/5
The room was in fairly good condition. Thhe air con worked well. The bed sheets had stains and cigarette burns all over. The towels thin and worn out. The fridge worked well. The staff was not friendly or service oriented. They do not have enough parking for customers. They had an ihop across the street that was convenient. Would never have stayed here but it was close to an event at Discovery Park. Because of the Aftershock concert, rooms were well over $200 per night, for a one star motel.
- 2/5
The only good thing about this place was the people working there. They were polite and accommodating when it came to leaving my car before check in and after checkout for the local music festival. The room was dirty, made my socks black when I walked around the first night. There was mold in the shower and on the ceiling. The toilet was so close to the wall it was difficult to use the toilet paper on the roller. The sheets were stained and the blankets were extremely thin. The mattresses slid around on the frame. One of the outlets was damaged on the nightstand. No coffee maker, no microwave. The door to the room looked like it had been kicked in a couple times based on the multiple ares where extra security latches once were. I would not stay here again, especially with how expensive it was to have absolutely no accommodations.
- 3/5
Small room with only two towels for three of us. Bed were comfortable. Usb chargers were broken. No parking available in lot. Had to park in random parking lot across the street. Ihop was close and open 24hours. That was a plus. A lot of homeless sleep around the property.
- 5/5

The area was surrounded by places to shop! Very convenient and very nice staff! Thank you!

lot's of homeless around the motel. meth head in the parking lot bangs the door on my truck and wants to fight me.
- 1/5
Room smelt so bad trash all over outside tv didn’t even work
- 1/5
This place was infested with roaches and I don’t understand how the people that stayed there rated it at anything above five the floor is disgusting. The bathroom was minimally clean even though I cleaned the bathrooms myself when I get there, the bedsheets was clean, but the bed was horrible. It was a lumpy. I stayed long enough to sleep so that I could drive a distance to get a decent hotel. I don’t understand how these people stay in these places and rate them are five or six or seven I had to take my roach bait out of my bag which I keep in there because these places are disgusting and put them on the floor around the bed
- 1/5
I would not shop anywhere near here. The neighborhood generally felt unsafe to walk around, especially at night
- 2/5
I only stayed there due to having surgery early in the morning
- 2/5
There was some bed stains and the room had a strong smell.
- 1/5
Room had a crack pipe in it no refrigerator like core water bottle in the room bathroom had mold screen to room window was broken the manager yelled at me and told me I could not have a refund after I showed proof of uncleanliness
- 1/5
Bed bugs & roaches worst place I’ve ever stayed
- 1/5
Couldn’t sleep I report it servely times about the loud noises I even have videos
- 4/5
The ice machine was broke Otherwise it was a good stay
- 3/5
The room we stayed in had flies and some other type of small bugs in the bathroom. The towels had red/orange stains on them. The staff was nice but the room was not up to par.
- 5/5
The safety and convenient location
- 3/5
Obviously unmaintained property. Door didn't close tightly, AC noisy. Floors sticky
- 1/5
No towels in room Uncoperational staff Not a place to take family.
- 3/5
Ok if it’s a short stay
- 1/5
Won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
To many homeless around the area
- 3/5
Some staff was very short. I’ve stayed several times only received one deposit back Some staff takes cash and others say they only take card TV hardly ever works and some rooms are not put together very well
- 1/5
It was disgusting. Mold, dirty sheets and towels are not worth 56 dollars a night
- 2/5
The rooms weren’t properly cleaned. The floors were covered in mud. The sheets were dirty, they had stains and burn marks. To top it off there was roaches, mainly in the shower.
- 4/5
I would of gave 5 stars except from friday to monday i wasn't able to watch the tv. It turned on but i couldn't change the channel so it was stuck on the menu the whole time
- 4/5
My room was a dirty when staying. Overall, I just needed a place to stay for a couple of days.
- 5/5
Shops and food nearby, clean room, great staff
- 5/5
The lady who held me inside was real, nice and respectable
- 4/5
If ur not used to being raised in the hood then stay inside after dark. Also their phone didn't work in the room. Beds were comfortable.
- 1/5
Will never go there again.
- 2/5
Staff was nice. Rooms extremely dirty and there were dead roaches.
- 5/5
Great place, I would recommend it for anyone looking for something affordable and comfortable.
- 3/5
Came into town for a concert and booked a room based on price and location. Used room for basically getting ready for the concert and sleep; it was a good value based on our needs. Staff allowed me to borrow an iron (I had to leave my ID with her) from the front desk. Complaints would be overall had a lot of cosmetic flaws, my bed sheet had a cigarette burn on it, and the noise of other tenants and homeless in the area.
- 2/5
The shower did not drain and the TV remote would not work so the TV could not be turned off unless you unplugged it.
- 3/5
Good price, wooden walk around at night but room was clean.
- 2/5
Front desk staff were super nice but getting into the room was the worse. Super dirty , we got a none smoking room. Seem like it didn’t matter. Smelled like cigarette all night. Hotel I don’t plan on going back to.
- 3/5
х
- 3/5
Just seemed like a run down operation.

One of my most uncomfortable stay. Bed sheets are not that clean & they are smelly and I got bug bites while staying there for the night.

**1.0 out of 5 stars - Posted by [Your Name]** I am writing this review from my room on my last day of a five-day stay, and I have never been more eager to leave a place in my life. My experience at this Motel 6 in Sacramento was an absolute nightmare from start to finish, made infinitely worse by a complete lack of compassion from the staff. **The Problem Started Immediately:** I checked in with a broken leg, clearly visible and in a brace. I politely asked the receptionist, Sonia, if it was possible to have a room on the first floor due to my mobility issue. Her response was not just unhelpful; it was shockingly rude. She barked at me, "I only have a room on the second floor. Do you want it, or do you want me to cancel it?" No apology, no attempt to problem-solve, just pure hostility. I was exhausted and in pain, so I had no choice but to take it. **The Key Fiasco:** The next day, my key card deactivated (apparently they stop working if you keep them near your phone—a fact no one bothers to tell you). I called the front desk and explained the situation to, you guessed it, Sonia. I reminded her that I had a broken leg and asked if someone could come up to reactivate my key or let me into my room. Her response was cold and dismissive: "We don't have room service for that. You have to come down here." So, I was forced to painfully navigate the stairs with a broken leg because of their faulty key system and her

A lot of drug addicts using and fighting out side with the cops

the bed was hard. there was so much noise from other rooms. they charged me $50 after already paying through hotels.com

It was fine for the money. The sink was weird, the water splashes all over you.

I liked that there was a inexpensive restaurant across the street. Room was clean and comfortable. Internet access speed was good.

I reserved a single queen because I'm disabled and have a service animal. I did not ask for a disabled room because I wanted to soak in a tub. I don't know why there was a disabled shower because there would not be enough room for use of mobility devices. I was not made aware there was a pet deposit and that they only accept credit/debit cards. I had cash and Google pay. In the morning, by the time I went to get a cup of coffee, they were out and wouldn't make more. When I got back to my room, my key card had been deactivated hours before check out time and I had to go back to the office to get it reactivated so I could get my stuff! Saw a few cockroaches, too.

Well the room was very disappointing, the bathroom door looked like it was in world war it was reused and poorly repaired. Overall i was quite disappointing and there seemed to be no reason based on the condition that there were not smoking rooms roothoughclean

My son found (and squished) 1 singular roach. My husband decided to sleep in the car, I was too tired to care. The staff was nice, bed was comfortable.

Pretty strong smoke smell in the room that was supposed to be a non-smoking room so might not work well for folks with allergies or who are real sensitive. Some interesting goings-on around the property. But overall good for the price.

Just needed a place to get some sleep. Got my rest no issues at all. a little outdated but hey that most down town Sacramento for you

The whole place was skeevy. There were creepy looking people sitting outside of rooms and roaming the parking lot. The property reeked of cigarettes. It was noisy, all night long. I called about loud music and nothing was done about it. The mattress was very thin. There was a hole in the curtain that was plugged with tissue. The AC vent was caked full of dust, making the room smell dirty, and was very loud.

Our stay was even better than we thought based on pictures. Staff was great, hotel was good even though dated. Location seemed even safer than pictures might portray. Beside highway bit didn't have problem with noise but could be problem for some.

Clean room no issues

Rooms smelled like smoke, bath floor looked unsafe to step in, stains on sheets when I asked for a refund the guy was nice enough to say that it was possible but he has to go check the room when he came back he said no because we had messed up the beds (reason why we “messed up the beds”) was to check for stains and bed bugs. There was a crack head just chilling in the office just felt like a high crime area very unsafe do not recommend

Drugs addicts all over the place, on the stairwell, infront of the office, extremely noisy, and staff seems doped up as well.

This is a dangerous motel stay away, it is definitely a place we’re needles are being used and homelessness has taken over the area.i couldn’t sleep comfortably and felt like I had to stay on my toes.

Quiet. Close to grocery store and fast food.

There is very limited items, not even tooth brushes or microwave or fridge. The beds were terrible, making terrible noise whenever anyone moves. The kind checkin staff was the only good element about this place. She's really happy and kind, even when we checked in late at night. There were people fighting next door the night we were there, and we could hear almost everything. It was very hectic, noisy, and the rooms seem to have 0 soundproof whatsoever.

Not fit for children or elderly, to much drug activity going on in parking lot.

Omg I'm not really to shocked but damn it was off the hook I was in room 129 and it's in the way back last room in the alley all night loud talking loud fighting and a lot of shady characters on drugs hanging on stairs and roaming in alley security was a joke he looked scared asking people hanging on stairs to go by the pool area the pool is gone it's filled in with dirt. Bummer.lobby was locked up only window open with bullet proof glass, for obvious reasons. My room was filthy down right dirty the housekeeping is not doing their jobs right apparently they don't know how to housekeep.training them.right could help. Bathroom had black mold towel rods fell off when I hung the dingy towel in it.i had to go to dollar tree get cleaning supplies to clean the room better then it was. Bed was gross. Didn't see bed bugs but saw 1 baby cockroach.

someone had pulled it off the wall and wires were just hanging out

The rate was fair for the value, however the condition of the room and property were not at par. The standing shower was full of patched up work on the walls and the floors. Then the property was surrounded by people who wonder around the streets all night who were screaming at each other. People who have cars played their music really loud, even after pass midnite

I didnt like it at all. Staff wouldn’t fix internet. I complained about roaches and Angelica at front desk told me to pack my stuff and leave on a 90° day two toddlers and a pregnant wife. I was very calm all i wanted was a new room.i called expedia and they got me moved very very fast.after i begged him not to call the property being scared not to push any more buttons by complaining

Sketchy stay. Dog barking in the next door room at night. Homeless people wondering around. On my way out, a mother and her two children were leaving, she was angry saying she had found a needle in her bed. I would not stay again.

Was able to pay in advance with no hassle once arrived.

Room was clean
