We picked this hotel for the location as we were visiting our daughter in midtown. Most everything else was not that great. The first room we checked into had visible black mold in the bathroom and the window AC unit had a strong mildew smell when running it. We requested to change rooms after the first night and the new room was an improvement with a split system AC. The rooms are small and I'm pretty sure the "queen" bed was a full size. The hotel has no amenities, no breakfast (not even for purchase). Because the building is old with poor noise insulation, the traffic noise is noticeable. There were earplugs supplied on the bedside table. We heard street racing and some party crowds one night, the next night was pretty quiet, and then we had morning business-day traffic. We would not stay here again.

Nothing wrong our stay was very good.
- 4/5
The room was small, but comfortable. It was noisy outside early in the evening but quieter later on. The person at the reception desk seemed a little impatient and not very friendly. Parking was not inexpensive and the parking spots in the garage were spaced very close together. The open central area was spacious and comfortable. Overall this was an OK experience but I might look somewhere else the next time I stay in the area.
- 5/5
No breakfast, but the coffee was fine. The second floor lounge was lovely, comfortable and safe. I like the blinds on the windows which could be angled to any degree.

Nice enough room, friendly staff. Dirty, moldy wall air conditioners that clearly need to be replaced. Asked to be moved from the first room when I saw how dirty the air conditioner was, then the second room's was much worse with black moldy spots inside the unit. They really need to replace these - I would have asked for a refund if I had been staying for more than one night.

The check in was weird. The desk clerk barely said anything, he didn't even greet us when we got there.
- 3.5/5
Elevator wasn't working. On a noisy corner. Ear plugs were supplied in the room.

Great parking, great room, nice staff. There were a lot of outlets in the room and a nice tv with a lot of options The shower spout made a very, very loud hissing sound. Mostly bearable but definitely not great.

- 3/5
The manager did give me a room discount and waivered the parking fee, which I appreciated, after I complained.
- 4/5
Place was under construction but they were nice and considerate about it. Parking was lacking. Room and facility was clean but dated. Air conditioning was an old window unit, but luckily weather was mild. Great location.
- 4/5
Corner room off street was loud with traffic but gave great views of the street below. Room was clean. Bathroom lovely. We traveled with our son, wished we had the room with the pull out couch that had a sliding door. The one we had seemed small for the pull out couch. When pulled out you can barely walk between the bed and couch. Very comfy beds though.
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 2/5
Parking was great, staff seemed wanting to be helpful but need some additional customer service training how to address guests and response time. I called 3 times before someone answered the phone. Also, the mattress and pillows were plain uncomfortable. Mattress sinks and pillows need better attention.
- 2/5
Room was clean. Location of hotel was convenient to places we intended to visit. Beds were very uncomfortable. Elevator was broken. Parking was $18/day, ins and out allowed. First come first serve, parking is not guaranteed when you return. I paid for parking, the spaces were tiny! Very inconvenient. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience. I will not be staying here again in the future.
- 4.5/5
Convenient location, clean room, and excellent staff. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing
- 5/5
Great hotel downtown!
- 5/5
My vehicle was safe for my entire stay and the AC worked great!
- 3/5
Comfy bed but very noisy. The water pressure in the shower was really low
- 5/5
I wish they’d bring back breakfast.
- 5/5
This cute, centrally located Hotel is a gem! Easy walk dining, Music Circus and the Capital grounds. The staff is top notch from check in to check out! We will be back!
- 5/5
Coffee: The coffee in the 2nd floor atrium was gone by 9 am. Thank goodness for the in-room Keurig. Parking: All the hotel spots were taken. We found a metered spot across the street from the hotel, only to discover that parking is more expensive on the street than in the hotel lot. We paid $22 to park overnight on the street (from 5pm on a Saturday to 10am on Sunday). (Hotel charges $18/night.)
- 5/5
Great experience, will come back again!
- 5/5
This is not our first stay here and it won’t be our last. Nico (front desk) was great! Room was comfortable, bed comfortable and location was perfect.
- 5/5
The staff was great! Clean room. Close to fun places!
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet hotel in midtown - close to everything in Sacramento. Always friendly, helpful staff!
- 5/5
Location is perfect to get around anywhere in the Sacramento downtown area. Walking or driving distance. Safe area and clean hotel. We’ve stayed there before and will stay there again when in the area.
- 3/5
Great distance to the convention center, but customer service leaves a lot
- 2/5
Room was an issue. Dirty, mold on wallpaper in many places in bathroom, the reason i selected this property was because i needed a fridge. The fridge did not work. There is very limited, tight parking at a rate of 18 dollars a day.
- 5/5
Great place, clean and the staff were kind and fast with all our needs. It’s located in a great area to walk around midtown lots of food places, coffee shops and stores in the area. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Proximity to midtown’s restaurants, responsive reception staff
- 1/5
Mold on baseboards. Very minutes parking that cost extra. First come first serve. Small rooms.
- 5/5
This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here, and it won’t be the last. The location is excellent, about 10 minutes to the convention center, the Creat theater, lots of great restaurants. Beautiful, comfortable rooms and amazing staff (especially Nico).
- 4/5
This was a nice hotel with helpful staff and a chill vibe. The traffic over night was a bit loud. All-in-all, I would stay here again.
- 5/5
We stay here whenever we have an early flight in Sac. Very room, comfortable beds, and quiet. We can walk to several nearby restaurants and it’s only 15 mins to the airport. Nico, at the front desk, is especially kind and helpful.
- 3/5
The room itself was good. I prepaid for parking for the length of my stay. On the second night of my stay the garage was full. I parked in the street to run in to the office to see where I could park some I had paid for garage parking. They credited my parking fee for that night, but I had to park on the street

The room was very clean, the staff was kind and respectful and I truly enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
The room was nice. Didn’t get to stay because our concert was postponed. We decided to go home. A guy named Niko checked us in and out and he was so awesome to us!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, located near many walkable restaurants
- 4/5
18 dollars for parking, lot is tight If you have a big vehicle. Rooms are small, and all face and interior courtyard, but everything was clean and worked fine. Overall 4/5
- 5/5
Clean room close to restaurants and shops
- 1/5
Really overpriced for what they provide.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Super cute decor and enjoyed the stay.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful, room was clean and the atrium was a nice airy place to hang out
- 5/5
The hotel was nice and clean the only thing was there was weird smell in the room
- 5/5
Nice property in a good location. Rooms and facilities are small but spotless, comfortable and quiet.

Clean room, easy to find, good neighborhood
- 4/5
Yes. Room was very clean and nice.
- 5/5
Yes Nico was great
- 4/5
It was a nice and convenient place to stay. It was in close distance to the venue that I was going to.
- 4/5
Quaint lil 2 story hotel. European elevators, room entrances are within a enclosed type "sun" room? Pillows are horrible. Super thick, weird angle for your neck if a side sleeper.
- 5/5
Charming
- 5/5
Room was clean and cute. The only down fall of this place was… parking was limited. And very tight. There is street parking however you might have to move your car in a different location so you won’t get ticketed. Our sink was kinda clogged. But I only stayed there for one night. Other than that the place was beautiful.
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
The room was clean and the location was convenient. The staff were all super helpful.
- 5/5
Close to various food and drink options
- 5/5
Only problem is parking on site
- 5/5
Front desk was awesome. Great location for our venue and felt safe the entire time. Will most definitely be back.
- 3/5
My wife and I went to a local brewery for dinner and brought back a 4-pack of a special beer as a gift for a friend. After check out at breakfast we realized we forgot to get them, so my wife calls the front desk to say "we forgot beer in the fridge, could you please hold them for us? We'll pick them up soon." The attendant says sure no problem. Back at the hotel when we're picking up the cans one of them is missing. I notice immediately and ask about it. She says that's what she was given from the housekeeping staff. Both my wife and I are 100% confident that we purchased a 4-pack not a 3-pack. There is no doubt in our minds. The attendant and I eventually walk up to our room (#308) to search. The cans had a dark label, so maybe one popped out of the holder and rolled away? I look all over the floor and don't find the missing can. When her and I spoke with the cleaning staff they told me that "it was open so I threw it in the trash." WHAT? I couldn't believe what I heard. I should have insisted to see the empty can in the trash. I never opened any cans in the room (bc gift). Also, that means it was open while in the holder...?? The cleaner lady LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE. Because either 1) she took it before the desk called to say we're coming back or 2) she took it when the desk said there's beer in the fridge. The "open" part was just her way out of it. Fine room but this really pissed me off.
- 5/5
Comfortable, clean, convenient to Capitol, midtown, restaurants and helpful staff. Miss the breakfast they used to serve, but overall it’s a nice place to stay.
- 3/5
Had cold air directly on face while sleeping. Shower stream very weak. Otherwise stay was fine
- 5/5
We loved our stay and will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
- 5/5
This hotel is truly nice
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great location.
- 5/5
Ideally located near the Capital and midtown restaurants. Comfortable bed and clean room.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! The room was so nice - very spacious and clean. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows really big and so soft! The coffee and tea bar area was very nice. Lots of places to sit if you wanted to be out of your room. The coffee was delicious! There were a lot of great restaurants within easy walking distance. The customer.service was the best! Very nice, clean neighborhood. We will definately stay here again!
- 5/5
Comfortable hotel built around an atrium that is air conditioned and spacious. We enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Its
- 4/5
Excellent
- 5/5
A lot of restaurants in walking distance. The Staff was very kind and helpful. It was newly decorated and updated. The inside atrium was nice, bright, and open for sitting.
- 4/5
Other than that, staffs were very friendly & professional, comfortable bed, perfect room size for me.
- 2/5
This is more of a motel than a hotel. The room and and common areas have been updated but the bathroom in our room was dirty. The elevator was broken so we had to use the stairs. The stairwell felt dingey and it was dirty. There cobwebs on the windowsills in the stairwell. The ac unit in the room is a wall unit. I had to put it to the lowest setting to keep the room cool at night. There were other properties that cost about the same that are a lot nicer and this place was not worth the price.
- 5/5
Perfect location for attending legislative hearings.
- 4/5
Easy parking and accessible to my events.
- 5/5
Good place to stay and great location.
- 5/5
Great location and very clean
- 5/5
-Cons: limited and tight parking. A little bit outside car noise on a Friday night (it did stopped and quiet afterwards). No breakfast. -Recommend: a basket of fruits, like apples, bananas and oranges near coffee community area is always appreciated.
- 5/5
Convenient location walk to restaurants, housekeeping does an excellent job.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms and great location
- 5/5
My room was comfortable as was the bed. The A/C blew cold which is great on a hot day. The blackout shades were appreciated. It was quiet.
- 5/5
Perfect location, nice hotel
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, room was great, Starbucks coffee dispensed in atrium.
- 5/5
Quite and relaxing in a central location near the capital and Midtown
- 5/5
This hotel had a very unique indoor outdoor feel when you get to the rooms
- 5/5
Always a great stay, very kind and helpful staff
- 5/5
We went to see a concert at the Golden One Arena. So we wanted something semi close. The uber ride was$8, planned ahead, $14 unplanned.
- 1/5
We checked out so that the hotel could resell our room, moved to the Marriott, and are still waiting to find out if we will get a refund of the money we paid Travelocity for our reservation.
- 3/5
Great location but the rooms and hotel needs some updating. The rooms are small and we got a room right next to the road…….not very quiet. The staff were great but I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! Nico at the desk was the BEST!
- 5/5
Convenient walk to the convention center, the park, the State Capitol and eateries.
- 4/5
This is a very nice and convenient hotel in a nice area of Sacramento. They say parking is limited in their lot but we never had a problem; a different time of year might be different. Everything was comfortable but the water pressure is weird: very strong in the sink and weak in the shower. The room wasn't as dark as I like but most people would be okay with it.
- 5/5
Check in process was super smooth. We arrived a few hours before check in time just to see if the room happened to be available. The lovely person working at the desk on 4/10 went up to the rooms to check to see if an equivalent room was ready and found one- super huge lifesaver as we were exhausted from traveling
- 2/5
Small and dated
- 5/5
Great stay at this property. Very nice staff and clean inside and out. Parking is limited and tight, so consider other options.
- 5/5
Great location. Lovely rooms and very comfortable bed.
- 5/5
This was my second stay here and I definitely recommend. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and the place has a cozy feeling. For being in downtown, the parking is easy as well. The hotel is the perfect size too and doesn’t have a corporate chain feel to it.
- 5/5
Great location. Easy access. Very nice rooms.
- 2/5
This place is like renting an expensive box, only one tiny window to outside and one interior window that makes you feel like your sleeping in a common area- very overpriced for what you get
- 4/5
Good location for capital business and conventions.
- 3/5
No service on check-in. Couldnt find anyone. Had to call two other properties by looking at their front desk trying to find someone. Like at 11:00p. Thought I'd have to sleep in the lobby.
- 4/5
Nice clean hotel in central location to convention center and capital. No breakfast but coffee and tea bar. Restrictors on showers were too much. Otherwise, very nice place to stay
- 3/5
Very comfy beds. Bit of a noisy are at night. Good rooms and condition for the price. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Decent 3 star hotel with a 4 star wxperience.
- 5/5
Great location, close to many dining options
- 4/5
Cozy & clean
- 5/5
I really enjoyed staying here it was convenient to shopping dinning and the bars around the area. I would definitely stay here again and the room was very nice as well.
- 5/5
Convenient to places to go. Clean & nice covered car parking
- 5/5
We stayed here during a last minute request for my husband to present his work at the Capital. With barely two days notice, I was so relieved to book a room here. It was a short walk to the presentation. There are lots of restaurants and coffee spots within walking distance. The hotel has an accessible water cooler and fitness room on the second floor. Finally, it's $18/night to park. It's comparatively cheaper than other hotels. We'll definitely come back.
- 4/5
Great location, comfortable room, old but well-maintained. Theres a nice little indoor courtyard area on the second floor with lots of places to sit. I'm certain this used to be a breakfast area. Now it was free coffee (good coffee!) and water and tea. The water was empty most of my first day, but got refilled in the morning. There are plenty of breakfast options within a 10 minute walk. Body wash in the shower was empty, however they did also provide two bars of soap, so that was fine. Room had a coffee maker and starbucks coffee, iron, hair dryer, even wine glasses! AC worked great, and was quiet. I will stay here again. Its comfortable and at a fair price.
- 4/5
The property isbin Midtown and very convenient...
- 5/5
Great little hotel within walking distance to many great restaurants and venues very clean and staff were friendly
- 4/5
Quaint.
- 4/5
Lots of great business in the area but walking to them gets depressing. At least one or two people per block who would like your attention and help. The park one block over is beautiful and I found myself going to MoJo’s sports bar a couple of times on my weeks stay. Great atmosphere to relax and watch a game over some delicious food and a pint. I would stay again but as I said, only on business solo.
- 4/5
The tub stopper in my room didn't work so I couldn't really take a bath and the heater was problematic so I was cold at night. But the area and location was so perfect to walk to the capital.
- 5/5
Amazing stay, cute room with everything you’d need. Snack bar coffee area. Lots of food options nearby and the park. Perfect place to stay.
- 5/5
Be nice if overnight parking was not an extra charge. Overall good place.
- 4/5
Great!
- 5/5
What an amazing hotel. I booked it based on price and location. This property exceeded all expectations. Clean, modern, beautiful, friendly staff, easy check in. Our room was decorated so nicely. Theres a beautiful inclosed courtyard in the middle with a free coffe and tea,bar and tables for seating. There was also another area with a beautiful large couch and chairs for seating. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. I will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Great location for government business. Located near many restaurants primarily serving locals, and a short walk from a large, modern Safeway grocery.
- 5/5
Close to everything
- 4/5
Front desk employee was very nice and the location is great. Unfortunately we could hear all of the noise in the central atrium and door to the parking garage.
- 2/5
While the staff was nice and the room was clean, there are some major issues with this property. First is a parking dilemma, there is not adequate parking for all of the guests. When I arrived the clerk apologized that the parking lot was full and I was on my own to go hunt one down. Try that in midtown Sacramento on a Saturday night. Secondly, these rooms are so small, it’s ridiculous. The distance from the foot of the bed to the dresser is literally shorter than from my elbow to the tip of my fingers, meaning that if someone is using the fridge, microwave or one of the two small dresser drawers, you have to wait until they’re done until you can get by. Another bummer is that the bathroom sink is wide open to the rest of the bedroom so there is no privacy other than the toilet and shower. There is coffee but no breakfast. For close to $300 for one night, I give this place a hard pass.
- 5/5
Nice, convenient location for midtown
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and efficient, the property well maintained and the room very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
This was a nice little hotel for our 2 day stay in Sacramento. Me and my sisters loved how close it was to restaurants and Starbucks walking distance. Hotel is a lil outdated but very clean. The guy at the front desk was very nice and made our check in very easy.
- 4/5
A quick overnight stay to see a show at Ace of Spades. The room was small, pleasant and clean.
- 5/5
Always clean, quiet, and accessible. Great location.
- 4/5
The room was a little small for two but nice and clean and bed very comfortable. The location is a very walkable area and the hotel parking a plus. No breakfast, just coffee and tea.
- 5/5
Loved the location, close to everything
- 5/5
The room was immaculate. I enjoyed the proximity to the Capitol buildings and concert venues. Only a few affordable dining options. Be prepared to walk.
- 5/5
The room was very nice! Clean, comfortable. We loved the blackout shades/curtains.
- 3/5
Decent place to stay. Doesn't feel like a normal hotel. Reminded me of a medical facility, maybe even a mental ward or a nice prison the way it was built, but it was nice. No breakfast, but a 24/7 coffee/tea bar. Good location for capitol stuff. Slightly narrow showers...felt like they were built as an after thought. No Pool. Staff prompt on cleaning rooms.
- 4/5
Good stay
- 3/5
Sheets were coarse.
- 5/5
Nice clean place
- 3/5
The property was nice and walking distance to food and drinks and the capitol. I had two issues, 1. The AC took a long time to cool the room and it did so only on one side, 2. We were not able to shower because the water was either low or the faucet mechanism was broken.
- 4/5
The reviews of this place had me a bit scared, but it went great! We had no problems with parking, though we did get the last spot one night. It's not the nicest hotel, but it's location is STELLAR right near pretty much everything you could need. Honestly, my only complaint was the size of the bed. It felt muuuch smaller than a typical queen, likely a full but didn't have a measuring tape so who knows! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Overall, worth the stay if you need to be in midtown, right near all the great food, drink, events!
- 5/5
Centrally located to everything and the staff was very friendly
- 3/5
The staff was very nice and helpful. I liked the enclosed layout. I didn’t like the room. It was tiny and found the bed to be uncomfortable. Minimal linens provided. Smelled old.
- 5/5
It was a nice room in a great location. It was clean, and the staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Great amenities around the neighborhood
- 3/5
Disappointed because this hotel doesnt serve breakfast. Also the mattress was so hard and stiff that my back started having pains. Other than these 2 items it was a good place to stay.
- 4/5
A great midtown location and a perfectly serviceable stay with reasonably-priced pay parking (tight garage, limited spaces, but we didn't have a problem).
- 1/5
The receptionist at the front desk sold passes to park in the area. When asked where they were good for she waved her hand around and said anywhere. There was no parking in the teeny garage so we drove around looking for parking. Not being able to find any in a 5 block radius we went back and asked if we could park in front of the meters with this permit. The receptionist never directly answered the question, but another irrate customer did- he had learned the difficult way (police ticket and fine) that they only work in the tiny garage and they sold 50 tickets that day even though there are less than 20 spots.
- 5/5
I love staying here because it is centrally located and very quiet. The second floor inside courtyard is a wonderful oasis from the Sacramento heat and a nice place to work. The staff are always courteous.
- 4/5
Clean, great location. Room was small but we were only there for one night so it was fine! The middle social area is great and would help you feel like you have more room if you need to stay more than one night.
- 5/5
The windows of my room were frosted because they were very close to neighboring buildings. It smelled like the common area and my room could use some fresh air as there was the odor of an older building. I did not have a car, but there were covered parking spaces below the rooms.
- 5/5
Place was perfect for our needs.
- 4/5
great location, kind of an odd renovation to an older courtyard hotel, very clean, safe, nice staff.
- 4/5
The hotel is located in a convenient location. We were able to walk to many restaurants, bars, and other sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.
- 5/5
Friendly helpful staff. Good value. Walk to convention center.
- 5/5
There aren't a lot of parking spots for how many rooms there are, and the spots are pretty tight. If you have a full size car. Other than that it was great wonderful perfect.
- 5/5
Cozy, clean and pretty. Has everything we need.
- 5/5
The front desk clerk was awesome and he was definitely understanding. The cleaning crew was also amazing and super friendly.
