Motel 6 Sacramento, CA - South Sacramento & Elk Grove

Only one person checking people in. Took over 30 minutes before it was my turn. Room had a missing TV remote and for two people there were only one set of towels. Neighbors were loud all night. The whole area had a strong "weed" smell. Only good thing was the Denny's nearby.

They can't seem to find my CASH deposit, I waited hours and still no return cash deposit and I drove 6 hours away

Good price and was available last minute. It took me forever to find someone at the front desk to check me in, I was yelling and calling all around for a good 20 minutes till someone showed up. The rooms are not clean, sheets have visible stains, shower walls are full of hair, and there was rotten old garbage in the bin underneath the plastic bag.

I did like the fact that it did have a gate to keep your car safe. It was okay. I liked the layout of the room. Small room but a little comfy. There were bugs in the bathroom and the floor was bad. The floor was not safe to walk on. There was dog poop in front of my room by the tree. The air conditioner was not working properly. The refrigerator was really loud and I had to check out really early because I couldn't get any sleep because of the noise and the people in the next room were loud and had the TV on high volume.

Stayed a week never offered clean sheets clean towels toilet paper and one day told need to bring to office to receive clean towels and bedding couldn't shower all day because I was told there were no more clean towels finally 5 time going to office at 1am following morning was given clean towels and bedding

Flexible Schedule as can cancel right up to 6PM on arrival day; No Charge for dog... Secure & lighted outside parking.... although that almost made it feel like: why the gate?..is it that bad of neighborhood? The Bad: Like most cheaply built and old motels, there is not much sound-proofing and A/C units are noisy. We stayed on a Sunday night ... so not a lot of partying...but the few people coming and going we could hear pretty well, as if our door was open. Overall preparation cleanliness for our room was pretty good... bath cleaned and stocked... beds were comfy and appeared to be clean. No carpet, which is better than 20-year old floring you find in some places...however not vacuumed well and the first thing I saw was a dead roach...so that put us off for the rest of our one-night stay. Outside cleanliness was poor...cigarette butts, etc. We did not venture to the pool area. so.... if budget requires an economical stay, then its probably okay.

In general it was OK, but the room smelled, was small, and the a/c was loud and rattling. The location did not feel safe. The property had a lot of dog poop that you had to watch for. It would work in a pinch but would not recommend it.

They would not give me a room unless I paid double. Tried calling Expedia and got hung up a few times. Ended up sleeping in car.

Please DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Our family vacation was ruined by our experience here. We checked out only 3 hours after being here. My husband was scammed out of over $400 by the incompetent front desk staff. The rooms were not clean. Very dusty. My child, who has asthma, was choking and coughing our entire time in that room. Pool was dark and dirty. We had to book a different hotel that same night!!! Do not bring your family here!! Someone is padding the rating with good, untrue, reviews!!! STAY AWAY!

parking was secure behind a closed gate. small problem checking in, but was resolved. rooms a little outdated. adjacent room had tweekers yelling around 2am and pounding on the door. the next morning a had to give a jump start to one of the peoples vehicles. the ac worked great, so there's that.

Parking is amazing tons of space and outside also has RVs space available also the property has 24 hour surveillance so your belongings are secure. Awesome place welcoming for all people. Easy access to the freeway

As soon as I had arrived, i had noticed the toilet was leaking, there was what looked like dead skin and a urine stain on the sheets in the only bed available in the room. On top of that the people in the next door over were screaming and banging stuff. Not to mention is sounds like you guys have a pigeon problem in your roof. So please for the love of god, close and never reopen.

This is my go-to every time! It feels safe here (I love that it’s gated with key entry), the rooms are always clean, I’ve never seen bugs or roaches, it’s pet friendly, it’s got the cheapest deposit of all the hotels in this area, great rates, price matching & you can’t beat the location! It’s right off of the 99 freeway, there’s lots of stores, gas stations & it’s not far from local landmarks. All the staff here is friendly and patient but SANDY always makes my experience super easy and she’s so helpful, patient and kind. She made me want to come back over and over again, her customer service is top tier! Also, the manager here (Serena) is very kind and accommodating and fair. You won’t be disappointed.

Much better than I expected. Place was clean and has been well attended. Cons were when we were in the office, and could not get back to our car because the two customer entry gates did not work with the card key and the front desk attendant could not explain that we had to walk through the main gate where the cars come in.

This place is disgusting. I didn’t expect much for the price but I should have gotten better than what I did. First of all, the patrons of this motel are so loud and shady. There were drug deals all around us and people yelling and going in and out of their rooms as late as 4am. The room itself was disgusting, smelt of cigarettes, the bed was not stable and moved around when on it, the smoke detector had a plastic bag over it (probably from a past customer who was smoking in there and the staff never noticed or cared to take it off) and the sink was falling apart and there was what looked like blood stains on the shower curtain and walls and door. Just an overall horrible experience

There is a few hairs in the bathroom on the floor, and the guy from the Night Shift didn’t write down my name and how much money I had to put down for a deposit and that I would be refunded and I told the lady upfront she was really nice. I didn’t get her name so she was shocked that he didn’t like the $50 so was he trying to take my money? I was told they’re supposed to write it down but I have my receipt for my records now I’ll be expecting my $50 refund. Didn’t say that on the website when I booked the room don’t think I’ll be staying there again.

The room was filthy with obvious soiling on the walls, the headboard of the bed, and the bathroom counter. When I wiped down the brown streaks and splatters on the wall next to the bed with a Clorox wipe, the wipe turned completely brown with whatever soiling was on the wall. The room smelled like dirty bathroom and cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. There were greasy fingerprints on the headboard of the bed. The bathroom door was covered in a layer of grunge on high touch areas proving that it had never been scrubbed down to prevent the build-up of grime. The top sheet of the bed was visibly dirty and the warm blanket underneath was covered in human hairs woven into the fabric all over. It was a gross place.

Overall, I always enjoy staying here, free wifi, guest laundry room, pets are welcomed, Denny's and Jack in the Box are next door. I only wish all the rooms had a smart TV. Sometimes I'm in a room without a smart TV and that sucks but the cleanliness of the rooms are always up to par.

I had to move rooms four different times because of roaches. I would open the door with the key card and turn on the lights and a roach would be looking at me on the floor. Went to next room and i thought it was fine until i took a shower. Next thing i know baby roaches were coming from the drain after i showered in large numbers! I hurried up put my clothes on and left. Next two rooms were the same. Im disabled and on crutches with no car. So i had to stay. The room service ladies never do a good job. They would never give me fresh towels to clean myself ever unless i called the front office and even then it takes hours for them to show up and when they do they give me towels that are dirty. And to cap it off the front desk clerk took my deposit and never gave ut back qhen i checked out so when i get back i will get my 50 dollars back. So dont come here. Thus place needs to be demolished because of roach infestations

Is very nice and friendly. The gated parking lot adds to the feeling of safety. There are several restaurants close by to grab a bite to eat as well.

The entire floor was sticky and had dried liquid stains, bathroom sink was disgusting never washed and there was women’s hair on the towels and sheets. The morning staff was very rude and dismissive when checking out, didn’t acknowledge me or even ask my room number. And there were no trash cans for any pet waste outside, so there was dog poop everywhere.

Room was a bit smelly 😞 but rather than that was Kool.

It wasn't the staff, it was the hotel..super trashy , some dude outside my room all night working on a rundown motorhome at all hours of the night, smoking weed right in front of my room and the air conditioner was sucking it in to my room, I almost puked it was so strong. Disgusting. The floors were all coming apart and it just felt disgusting. Bums everywhere , etc.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would! My family was traveling back from Vegas on a long drive. We were exhausted & attempted to stop here for the night. I booked the room through Expedia. I got there and checked in. The outside looked a little dumpy, but we didn't really care, as we were only planning to sleep and leave. Upon getting up to our room, it was very outdated and dirty looking, and extremely small. WITHIN 1 MINUTE IN THAT ROOM MY DAUGHTER SPOTS A HUGE COCKROACH! My husband killed it and we grabbed our stuff and immediately ran out of that room, fully prepared to sleep in our car if we had to. We did not want to bring any kind of bugs home with us. I went to the office, while my family waited at our car. The man in the office was nice enough and apologized. He offered us another room. I told him, No thanks. When I was a kid we lived in apartments with roaches, they are in all rooms if they are in one! He said he would refund me. We sat in the parking lot there while I looked for another hotel nearby. During the time my family was outside while I was in the office and the time we sat there looking for another spot, we watched a series of shady looking characters go in and out, cars coming and going, dropping people off every couple minutes, etc. This place is gives total "crackhead motel" vibes. I 1000% do not recommend. I said I wouldn't leave a bad review since he was nice enough to refund, but it has now been over a month and I never got my refund.

Upon arrival, I saw that the motel had a gated fence. It made me feel safer. I was checked in quickly. The room and bathroom was clean. I booked a room with just a fridge and no microwave or coffee maker. The price will reflect the amenities you want. Although the room was a non smoking room, it had a smoking smell in the room. Other the smell, everything was good. I would stay here again for the price. This location is cleaner than most Motel 6.

Light switch was not working only one small light on the TV was working and toilet light was OK. when I entered, 3 flies were already in the room. Photo shown yellow bedsheet but actually not, just all white. No shampoo or anything but very poor soap, omg fainted.

In the am, Several police cars were investigating some issue or theft with another car or trailer in the same area we needed to park ours. Efforts are made to keep people safe but be aware the location is not the best in some situations.

I don't know if the room felt neglected I feel neglected. I was never in the rooma I made the reservation. I had lost my phone. And my cards. Didn't have a way to give them a deposit. It was raining the hotel said they may or may not give me my money back. I hope they do give my money back I'm a good customer can you get my refund back so I can stay with you guys again thank you.

The staffs were unprofessional. My stay was "pay later". Checkin was 3p.m but i was already checked from the previous day. Instead of letting me stay in my room until i came to the office to make payment at 1p.m, they called the Sheriff on me. While I was okay with leaving, I believe the lady staffs at the front were very unprofessional.

The room was dirty. The walls had splatters of who knows what. Every single wall. The sink was dirty. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The bathroom had urine splatter on the walls by the toilet. The shower curtain was moldy. There was hair in the towels. I couldn’t use anything in that room because it was gross.

Check in was easy. NO problems there. It’s the first motel I’ve been to that actually had a gated entry into the parking lot. You use your door key card to open it. We didn’t think anything of where the room at first when we had to go all the way around the building to park. Half of the parking spots in from of that side of the building in that section were handicapped. Our room was upstairs near the end essentially above and behind the main office. We had NO idea that it was essentially next to a truck stop where people were raving their truck engines at all hours of the night. The lights were literally spotlights outside of the room! Even with the lights out, the light was still bright enough to read by! The drapes didn’t really cover the windows so it was very bright with the lights in the room off. The curtain themselves didn’t really block light either. We tried to use a hangar with the pants clip to pull the curtain more closed by attaching it to the door knob. The refrigerator was really noisy so we ended up unplugging it and even after doing that, we could still hear the refrigerators in the adjacent rooms they were so loud too. The lights in the room were extremely bright (also SPOT lights) to the point we ended up using the bathroom light. There was only one panel of switches that included the bathroom light (where shower and toilet were), the fan and then the one over the sink. We ended up going to the Super Walmart to get ear plugs to get through the last night!

Other than the convenience of the location, Absolutely nothing. I checked in, stayed for 2 days..i am not from sacramento and I literally dont know ANYONE here, i slept for the most part of the 2 days...when i went to go pay for an additional night, the staff said i was no longer able to rent a room there due to TRAFFIC!?. Anyways...these rooms were ridiculously over priced...the firt room i tried to rent was an accessible room that was the dirtiest room ive ever seen. The shower corners and floors were black as f*** and it smelled really bad..i quickly asked for another room and he changed it...the second room was much better but it did have roaches at night and the bathtub wasnt very clean....it also had a mildew type of smell coming from the air conditioner. The microwave in the lobby had no glass plate in it....and the rooms dont come with 1 but they come with a fridge. Anyways...i wouldnt suggest renting a room from here....ever !

We were refused service with no explanation, no empathy, and no recourse except to "Call Expedia if you want a refund." This was after we booked the room and were assured that it will be ready and that the booking through Expedia will be fine.

The staff was womderful, very kind and helpful. However the room was not good. It smelled like potatoes, there was sticky stuff on the floor in spots, the sink faucet sprayed everywhere and there was a roach in the tub. It is gated entry so i felt fairly safe until we drive around inside. Tjere was lots of interesting characters amd activities. We will probably not stay again.

They were rude to me-and my daughter. Refused to move me to another room due to noise, saying they were fully booked, only for someone else to tell me they COULD have moved me, because there was PLENTY of rooms. Lied about running my card for payment and how they handled the deposit. Told me I could not stay again because I WAS RUDE.

It was a decent place to rest our heads for the night. The position of the bed made it so that a good part of the AC vents were blocked by the mattress. Other than that it was satisfactory.

I checked in at 10 p.m. and left at 4:30 a.m. the next day. The hotel location and room are nothing fancy but fit my needs, and there is a room key censored gate to enter the hotel facility that gave me a bit of extra safety.

Entrance is gated, but does not prevent tailgaters from entering. There is no shampoo provided; available in vending machine. There is no tissues. You can use toilet paper to blow your nose. The facility is very noisy, people with doors open until late at night, loud music, people yelling, stomping up the stairway, driving by with loud music. People are using this hotel as apartments - they are living there. Overall nothing happened other than inconvenient noisiness but a bit unnerving to see some of the people wandering around.

All the surrounding hotels were booked for graduation so this was my last attempt at a bed for the night. I got there at midnight after making reservations online and waited outside in line until I got to my room at 1:15 AM. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and definitely trying his best to help but obviously overwhelmed. I almost slept in my car but decided I’d sleep in my clothes on top of the sheets. I will not be returning.

The room was nice, but you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The floor hadn’t been swept, there was something nasty and white looking on the footboard of the bed. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. Toilet was dirty and it look like someone took a bm because I could still see little chucks at the bottom of the toilet bowl. The toilet seat was dirty and so was the shower. I wiped the toilet seat twice and dirt came off both times. There were long strands of hair all throughout the shower and bathroom that did not belong to me.

Good for a no-frills motel, and you shouldnt expect frills at a Motel 6. It's clean, updated, and the right amount of space. No real lobby, but a front desk with a friendly staff member. There's coffee available in that room in the morning. My only complaint is that there wasn't any shampoo even when advertised as supplying comp toiletries (maybe I should've asked the front desk butnI was too tired). Also my TV had an unnavigatable menu pop up and I couldn't control anything with the remote. I just used my laptop and the wifi to stream for entertainment.

everything was great, the only thing is some outlets wouldn't work well good thing there was more than one outlet and also it would be good to have an iron cuz sometimes clothes need ironing but i did enjoyed my stay would come back another time

Staff was really greàt. Room was very comfortable. Only issues were thè drugs and prostitution in rooms near by. They fidnt cause me any inconvenience but still, gross. I am actually staying next week for work. I am happy with whst i payed for.

It was good. The front office wasn't very friendly but it was just like any other motel 6. It was clean and comfortable. Although i havent received my deposit back yet? It usually comes back on pretty quick.

The place is safe and quiet especially being gated. The staff is very friendly and everything is clean. I feel safer walking my dog here also. I would recommend it!

Front staff was very helpful and I liked that it's gated.

Bad front desk need more education to speak with the customers bad impression always use the app and never see a that kind the person's at the front desk.

The staff was great, the room was very clean and i felt safe in the room. Leaving the property was different. It got scary when i left the property. Lots of homeless and drug people.

When checked in the staff was very friendly and it was a easy check inn. There were a few minor maintenance issues with the room, and they offered to have maintenance take care of it right then. I declined the offer for maintenance because the issues were very minor. The rooms looked liked they have been remodled or kept up in excellent condition. It is a gated property with guest parking and with class a truck parking lot in front. Dennys restaurant is literally next to there parking lot entrance. There are very pet friendly with plenty of grass area's for dog walking and a pet waste staytion with bags. I would recommend staying here because you get 4 star service for a 2 star price.
