The property will be lovely when renovations are completed. Right now it’s a little less than desirable however, they did notify after I booked that there was construction… I just didn’t see my message until after I stayed there and that is on me. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean that is really the most important…
- 4/5
The location was perfect. We rarely used the car. Good restaurants close by and lovely waterfront park right across the street. Construction continues inside but workmen not a problem. Our room was comfortable but dated. Never AC worked well. Pool was sparkling clean and inviting. Coffee machine available 24/7 was excellent. Breakfast minimal but did offer waffle machine, some cereal and muffin choices, milk and o.j. Covered parking garage on ground level. Lobby one floor up accessible by elevator. A generally quiet atmosphere during the day and always at night.
- 1/5
Our room was not well-maintained. The sheets didn’t even fit the bed properly, which immediately gave the impression that cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking. When we turned on the heat, the smell coming from the air conditioning unit was awful and strongly resembled urine. To make matters worse, the entire building was undergoing construction, something guests should be informed of before booking. The elevator was also out of service for an entire day, creating a major inconvenience. The pool area was disappointing as well. There were fire ants around the pool, and I ended up with multiple bites on my feet. The one positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which was convenient and close to everything we needed. However, with other options available nearby, I would strongly recommend choosing one of those instead. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to the price, the photos, or the expectations set by the listing.

Very cute hotel in a great location
- 2/5
The room was mediocre at best
- 1/5
Hotel was being renovated though nothing was said or listed about this being the case when booking it. Hallways torn apart, entrance covered in plastic. Large commercial refuse container for construction outside our window view. Not very happy with this as we would not have booked this hotel, certainly not at their premium rate. Toilet ran noisily all night. General condition of hotel very poor!
- 5/5
Love the location! Everything walkable!
- 5/5
Great customer service..clean comfortable
- 1/5
This location is under renovation and the 2nd floor has numerous rooms with plastic up to doors, floor has paper placed down to cover wood flooring, room 211 had very old sleep sofa which hasn't been cleaned due to dirt and pretzels found whwen opening, very old blanket on king size bed. Unable to retrieve money back from Expedia..spent exactly 8hrs in room: checked in at 2pm and out at 10pm same day. Strongly suggest other options of stay.
- 2/5
Hotel under renovation!! Awful. No warning. Staff has no idea when it will be completed. There breakfast awful. Only waffles or muffin.
- 2/5
This property is under active renovation/construction. This is a detail. They don’t tell you when you book it. It’s basically filthy and many things simply don’t work, including the television, the hot water and a few other minor items. I would avoid this property until they finish whatever work they’re doing there. Hopefully it’s better after that.
- 4/5
Great location! Close enough to walk to everything in village. Great balcony. Covered parking and elevator. Strange furniture placement. Would be nice if updated and renovated but good overall.
- 4/5
nice hotel. Close to everything. we walked to most of the attractions.
- 5/5
Very close to the pier, lighthouse and Village. Quiet hotel.
- 1/5
I brought the new blanket to the room. In our first night of sleep, my wife found several hairs in the sheets, and both of us quickly noticed that the fitted sheet itself would come undone from the mattress VERY easily. We also felt sand in the sheets despite not having gone to the beach yet. The second day, we took showers and upon turning the water on, it screamed like a dolphin. The curtains had tears, the toilet seat had a crack, the bathroom ceiling had water damage and mold.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly! Even though the property was under renovations during our stay everything was as expected.
- 1.5/5
The location and online presentation! Place was well worn. Also No mention of ongoing construction! We had to walk through active construction work on our floor! Place looked a wreck! Floors were filthy dirty! Only two outlets in the room, when I asked the front desk for an extension cord for my CPAP machine the clerk told me they didn’t have any since they’ve been stolen . Breakfast was a joke!
- 3/5
Close to all the shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great location. In process of being renovated, which was no issue at all. Very clean, very friendly staff
- 4/5
Property under construction. Had issues with my AC unit in my room. Staff very helpful.
- 2/5
The location was great, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, they were doing renovations and put us on that floor where men were working. It was messy, dusty, and noisy. It was uncomfortable walking through all of that to get to the room.
- 3/5
Messy and the TV had 'no signal', I presume due to the work being undertaken.
- 5/5
Hotel was under renovation during our stay but definitely would love to come back. Location is great.
- 1/5
Unannounced remodel of the property created a nightmare for guests. No notice from Expedia regarding the condition of the hotel. Full price paid should be returned to me. No housekeeping to add insult to injury!
- 2/5
We were not told prior to our arrival or even when we checked in that the hotel was being renovated on every floor. We found out about the renovations when the elevator opened on our floor and we had to walk through all the work that was going on (painting, drilling, sawing, etc.) to get to our room at the other end of the hallway. We also did not have hot water for 24 hours until we and some other hotel guests went and complained. The water pressure in the shower was very poor and only came out of part of the shower head. While some staff were very nice, the woman that checked us in and out of the hotel was not friendly. We were never told about the amenities or activities in the surrounding area.
- 4/5
The Inn is under construction it looks like it will be a while before they will get done. So consider this when booking. We checked in Friday to Sunday and they were working on weekends up to about 6 pm you could hear the banging. Our room looked clean but it’s outdated. Nice location, close to the lighthouse and restaurants. Parking was tight under the building but plenty spots in front of the hotel.
- 3/5
Going through construction, first 2 days no hot water. Pool was freezing and ants all over pool deck. They were crawling all over the chairs. Desk help was always outside smoking cigarettes. Smelled like a giant ashtray. No daily service, so constantly asking for towels and toilet paper. Great Location
- 3.5/5
The room was large. It was over the pool. It needed up dating
- 2/5
They were going through renovations so i understand some dust etc. When we got in the room we noticed blood spots on the chair and just covered with a towel. Don't walk on floors without shoes. We went to dinner. We had been driving all day and wanted to stay by the lighthouse. We got back from dinner around 10pm, exhausted. We had 2 queen beds, my cousin and myself. I pulled back my sheets and there were blood stain spots all over my sheets and hair. So I slept with my cousin in her bed, we were too tired. Decided to turn on the TV. Did not work. Would i stay again...after the blood stains on sheets...most likely not
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Very spacious room with 2 king beds. One of the rooms was not ready when we arrived but thankfully the staff made arrangements for us.
- 4/5
This property was undergoing renovation during our stay. The hall was covered with protective cardboard and paint smell was noticeable. Our room was clean and comfortable and very large. It could have definitely used some redecorating as the furniture seemed somewhat random like the bookcase partially covering the mirror. It could be a lovely place with a great location once renovations are complete.
- 4/5
Parking was good, the hotel was clean, but was doing some remodeling going on, which took away from the overall rting.
- 3/5
They are renovating. There was dust everywhere. My wife’s allergies were awful. There was hammering from 9-6 daily. It will be nice when done but has a long way to go. Parking was easy.
- 3.5/5
It was under construction, so caught us off guard.
- 2.5/5
Under construction . Poor continental breakfast
- 1/5
Location Under renovation- very inconvenient
- 1/5
The hotel is undergoing a MAJOR renovation and quite frankly management should seriously consider closing down until the work is finished. The workmen started around 8-8:30AM and it was a most uncomfortable stay. The location of the hotel is great. The experience was not great.
- 4/5
The hotel is renovating should look good when complete. Location and pool are great.
- 4/5
Parking was great but the renovation process was not completed in our suites. The microwave was vintage, Tv old and chairs and curtains aged. The saving grace was the kind and respectful staff. We’d come again but not until the Reno is completed. None the less we still had a great mini vacation.
- 0.5/5
Nothing Everything
- 4/5
Parking was convenient and staff was friendly. Construction was going on during our stay.
- 3.5/5
Perpetual construction.
- 4/5
Love the location, staff and nice lounge/pool area. The Livy is being renovated at this time but other than that evening was great! They are renovating so the lobby is a bit small right now but nothing bad.
- 5/5
Ocean Inn and Suites in St. Simon’s is a great place to stay. It’s clean, quiet, comfy beds and pillows. Room is large. It’s in a great location. Walk to restaurants, shops, pier, beach. It is going thru a major renovation now however our stay was fine. They don’t serve much for breakfast but the muffins are the best I’ve ever eaten. Parking is tight however you can park out on street.
- 3/5
Construction makes it difficult. It had a weird smell also that gave us a headache. Staff was nice. Parking was difficult.
- 1.5/5
Only the location. The construction which began at 8:00am, the air did not cool well, the water did not get hot.
- 4/5
Location

I had not been informed that the building was under construction. There was a jackhammer going non stop. The shower did not get hot and it whistled. The light in the bathroom was super dim and with the shower curtain closed it was dark. The floor was as dirty. I stayed here about 10 years ago and it was great. Sad to see it so rundown.
- 1/5
My room was terrible. I cannot recommend this hotel at this time. There were fruit flies coming out of the drains in the tub There was mold around the tub. It was dirty. the floors were dirty thick dust even on the Kleenex box. The curtains were inside outward, broken, and falling off the rods. Never washed There were cobwebs on the ceilings, but I had a great view. I was booked for three nights. Checked in on Friday in the room, I started investigating all the sheets as always due there were stains on the pillows with something on two of the pillow cases that looked caked on I wiped down the sink area for cleanliness for myself. I did not sleep at all Friday night The floors in the bathroom area looked as if they have never been cleaned ever. Saturday morning I took pictures and showed the manager. They did not have another room to put me in and promised a refund. I booked through Expedia contacted Expedia to begin that process looked for Another hotel and found one. Village inn and pub highly recommend. Now I am battling with Expedia I was only given a portion of my payment back just what the hotel received from Expedia. Expedia is giving me the run around . I had to come out of my pocket for an extra hotel without a refund in full for the two nights I didn’t stay. I have never had this issue and hope no one else does
- 2.5/5
We loved how close to everything it was It was under construction and that was not told to us before the trip also the shower water wouldn’t get hot. It only would get luke warm. The furniture seemed like something that was bought at a yard sale the day before and thrown into the room. The desk had no desk chair.
- 2.5/5
The location was close to everything They were doing construction on the hotel but we didn't know until after I booked the room. The rooms need to be updated.
- 4.5/5
The air conditioning in our room worked but did not cool exceptionally well.
- 5/5
Facilities under renovation but it didn’t interrupt our stay, staff was very polite and helpful - pool was great and location awesome for downtown wandering! I usually stay at the Seagate but I will definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Parking was easy and located on the ground floor under the hotel. The location is very convenient to the downtown shops, restaurants and Pier. They are currently undergoing major renovations so we didn't get to see it fully open and running. Our room was not renovated yet. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. It was somewhat dark and dated - so can't wait to see what the newly rennovated rooms will look like. The AC was a wall/ window like unit and didn't seem to run as much as we would have liked. (And obviously that style AC is loud). Hoping they plan to dd ceiling fans in the rennovations. Loved that we had a mini fridge and microwave to warm up leftovers right in our room.
- 3/5
No hot water
- 3/5
We had a short stay. The room was fine. 1st floor had construction going on
- 5/5
Staff was friendly They are under going a redo but it didn’t affect our stay The area was beautiful and fun We will be back
- 2.5/5
Close to restaurants and pier Received a message saying exterior renovations were being done. When we arrived it was all interior work being done
- 4/5
The parking was easy and safe. The air conditioner did not work properly
- 5/5
Yes
- 2/5
Location Cost to stay there should be lower due to the construction that is going on.
- 4/5
Parking was very easy and secure. The room was comfortable and clean.
- 1/5
no hot water, very dirty
- 4/5
Upon arrival, we learned that the hotel was in the middle of a major rennovation, resulting in a lot of dust. A ruptured water pipe resulted in no hot water throughout the entire hotel. We were offered a 100% refund so that we could find other lodging. But since this was spring break, the odds of finding a vacancy elsewhere were not favorable. They offered us a 30% refund if we wanted to stay in our reserved room (without hot water). We agreed to the 30% refund (they said the refund will be handled by Expedia). In spite of these unforseen issues, we enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable and within walking distance of all that we wanted to see and do in St Simons Island.
- 2/5
We were not told there was renovation on the property until after we booked and a deposit was taken out. That should have been made clear before booking. Also, after paid for the entire stay, we were informed that there was no hot water. Told it would be worked on which it was but it was not repaired so we suffered through cold showers our entire stay. Not even a refund or partial refund was offered. I would stay away from this property!!
- 4/5
Clean rooms, quiet even though renovation going on. Poor parking due to construction.
- 1/5
Gas leak occurred during my stay resulting in not having hot water for my entire stay. Had to leave early. Staff was nice & accommodating about it but very unfortunate.

no hot water

Location - great coffee machine in the lobby - wonderful bed and pillows - the toiletries were excellent No coffee machine in the rooms - parking spaces are somewhat tight - very limited breakfast
- 5/5
Great property. Very nice olde inn feel.
- 5/5
Everything was great!!!
- 1/5
Absolutely terrible. Booked this for our anniversary trip, the location was great super close to town. We did get a email after booking there was construction going on which is understandable but the amount of construction the entire place should have been closed. There was drywall dust everywhere no one bothered cleaning it. The firealarm went off continuously front staff said just ignore it. One of the staff the family was running around screaming at night. Heard them telling their family not to drink the water because it was nasty. (So it’s okay for guests?) The room was filthy. For $200 plus a night I expect clean sheets at least. The room had broken furniture, mold on the ceilings. Dirty lampshades and bathroom. I heard the staff complaining about the owners multiple times, I would never recommend staying here to anyone.
- 4/5
Location was wonderful. We loved being able to walk to the pier and shops/restaurants and the lighthouse and the shore. That whole area was so nice with the brick walkway and parks and string lights at night. The hotel was under renovation when we were there, which we knew when we booked. We enjoyed our stay and I would stay here again. Looking forward to seeing it after renovations. The only complaint really is that when we ran the A/C unit it smelled really musty/mildewy so we left it off as much as possible.
- 0.5/5
Hotel being remodeled. Very messy and smelly. My room had a toilet that ran toilet all night keeping me awake. I left the hotel after staying only 1 night. The hotel was willing to Adjust my payments but booking would not work with me. I will never use booking again.
- 1/5
The property is under construction and noisy. The room was dated. The curtain rod was broken so curtains hanging. The room smelled like weed. We left and didn't stay. Just sucks we lost our money. It has potential but only when renovations are complete. I do not recommend.
- 4/5
We were here during the off-season and there was pretty significant construction happening. It’s hard to address cleanliness and condition because everything was in transition. The room was large, but dated. I’m hoping the rooms are part of the renovations. The location was walkable to several restaurants, the boardwalk and the beach. A continental breakfast was a bonus.
- 1/5
I would have liked to know it was under construction. Bed very uncomfortable, tub did not drain, AC smelled so musty you couldn’t run it. Sliding doors did not have screens, so bugs came in when we aired it out.
- 3/5
Location and staff Renovations more than indicated during reservation- bathroom plumbing did not work
- 0.5/5
booking.com said there was a room available at the location and I booked and paid as well as got confirmation for booking and we show up after a long long day and drive to get some sleep on valentines day. Get to counter and he tells us he has NO ROOMS for us and we can not stay at all, and he will send cancellation confirmation to booking as well as my email address to show confirmation as well. It is 2 days shy of being a month later and I still have yet to see that money for the reservation that was worthless in my account.
- 2/5
Property is under construction. The noise starts at 8:30 am and doesn’t finish till 5:00 pm. Very disappointing
- 4/5
Our floor was under remodeling, so it was somewhat messy, but understandable. It was walking distance to the beach, pier and many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
The location was fantastic. They are going through extensive renovations. Everything is very dusty. You have to walk through the renovation to get to your room. Moldy sink.
- 4/5
No... Too cold
- 3/5
Room dimly lit and not real clean.
- 3/5
It is very convenient to the lighthouse and downtown area. The hotel is currently doing renovations so the pictures of the rooms were misleading. It had a very limited continental breakfast.
- 1/5
This property is undergoing major & needed renovations. If I had known this when I booked reservation through Expedia, I would not have booked it for a special birthday trip. Once the work is completed, I might consider returning.
- 3/5
Construction. Awful breakfast
- 4/5
Large room with balcony is a plus. Conveniently located (walking distance) to restaurants and shops
- 1/5
We did not get the room we reserved and paid for. Nothing was done to remedy this situation. There was also extensive renovation ongoing at the hotel.
- 3/5
The shower made a horrible screeching sound the whole time the shower is ran. My service dog found two bottle caps, a beef jerky wrapper and additional trash on the floor.
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
Clean room, breakfast was not great, it would have been nice to have some yogurt or fresh pastries. But since it was winter and not many guest at the time, I can understand why.
- 4/5
clean room, very friendly staff and good breakfast choice and hot drinks...
- 5/5
Outside architecture is beautiful, however we checked out early due to renovations that weren’t aware of- Robert is remarkable! Great guy! He went above and beyond and tried his best..
- 1/5
We have stayed here many times over the years. This time was awful! It is under construction so it is dirty and noisy. We have always had a nice room overlooking the lighthouse. This time they put us in a room that no one should ever have to stay in. {room 105} We asked to be moved and ended up in another room that was as bad. {room 211} We've never stayed in these rooms and no one should ever have to stay in them! There were holes in the bathroom when all the wall fixtures had been removed. The bathroom was dirty! Looked like white dust everywhere. The bathroom was rusty and grimy. It was gross to use and did not use the shower. I thought the bed, although the sheets were thin, looked clean. When I woke up the sheets and mattress cover had pulled off and exposed nasty stains that I had been sleeping on. Ick, This is all so sad because we have stayed here many times and it will probably be very nice when they are done but the owners should know that they are insulting their customers with staying open and assigning these horrible rooms during the construction.
- 4/5
Best part is the location. It's right near the Lighthouse, pier, and pier village. The staff was friendly. We met a cleaning lady one day and she was very nice. The hotel is old, and needs sprucing up, which they are doing now. I'm sure when it's done, it will be beautiful again. They have breakfast, but I would plan to find food somewhere else. Just muffins and waffles. The first day, the waffle batter was so thin, the waffle was horrible. We grabbed a couple of muffins and took them to our room to warm in the microwave. The next day, we had breakfast out!
- 5/5
Love staying here.
- 5/5
Very close to everything and the staff is super nice! Hot chocolate machine in the lobby is a hit with the kids
- 4/5
Friendly accommodating staff, Rooms are spacious , comfortable, and clean. Great location.
- 2/5
Room smelled like mold, pillows were hard, remote control felt like a sticky “honey bun”, curtains falling off the rod, no room service on the third night, construction noice.
- 5/5
Parking was good and view was great
- 4/5
NICE, BUT DATED !!
- 5/5
The location couldn't get any better! The rooms are large and comfortable! We had 2 balconies and a great view. 2 blocks to the downtown area full of shops and restaurants! I can't wait to go back in the summer time and enjoy the water! Every employee there was very personable and helpful!
- 5/5
Clean Room and Check In was wonderful!
- 2/5
They were under construction so im sure i didn't get to see the best of it. The construction wasn't the issue, the cleanliness of my room was. There was hair on the sheets, previous visitors food in the fridge, which i don't know which previous one. Finally I stepped on a screw in my bathroom barefooted. I told the hotel staff about it and they said they would have a meeting about it with other staff to discuss what needs to be improved, obviously not the only response that should be given
- 5/5
Everything was great. Staff was professional rooms were clean love the location.
- 4/5
Staff is friendly. It is in a great location for easy access to town. It doesn’t feel like staying in a hotel, it’s more like a home. Hardwood floors, real wood furniture, sliding doors to the outside with balconies. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood which is also nice. I look forward to seeing it when the renovation is finished.
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous. Hotel was under construction/remodel. “Park View” was on the opposite side of hotel. We had to checkout a day early due to sickness, and the hotel staff were very understanding and fine with us leaving early, I am not satisfied with Expedia due to the inability to speak with someone about a possible refund.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and spacious. Very walkable to lighthouse, waterfront, shops, eating places.
- 5/5
We have stayed here for several years. Renovations are continuing. Location is close to pier, restaurants and shopping. Public park and playground are just across the street. Talked with golfers here for RSM tournament. Never figured out the ROKU tv and we have 3 ROKU boxes at home. This place is a family favorite.
- 5/5
Parking was conviently located near the lobby elevator. Reception check-in was efficient and customer friendly. Room was beautifully appointed with scenic window view. Very nice breakfast included with stay.
- 1/5
Abery was the duty clerk who registered us his attitude and manners were quite deplorable. The first room we were given was disgusting the bathroom was dirty and the mattress even worse not even a mattress cover to hide it’s thilthy state. After a request for a new room which was met with some animosity we transferred to another which was a slight improvement although the bathroom was again extremely grubby. The Continental breakfast was muffins and 2 types of cold cereal, and to top it all the Hotel was in the middle of extensive renovation which we had not been informed about. Anyone looking for accommodations in St Simons do not use The Ocean Inn Suites in fact try someplace in Gaza City (Palestine) it’s probably a better option.
- 5/5
Friendly, courteous front desk staff.
- 1/5
I had reached out to the property to try to change my reservation and no one answer so when I was able to change it, I was able to do it with a virtual agent on Expedia. I updated my number of people in the room as well as informed them that my dog was going to be with me. Upon arriving to the hotel, I was able to check in, but when I got to the room, I immediately got a phone call stating that we were gonna get charged an additional $150 for a pet fee because they don’t allow dogs at their hotel. Even though it states in the reservation that it is a dog friendly hotel. There were things left in the room from the previous people that were in the room, there was sheets, falling off the bed didn’t look like they were even made. There were stains on the walls. The room smelt bad and the stuff was just not friendly at all. I had the worst experience there and I will never stay there again and on top of it I did get charged an additional $150 through the hotel For my dog.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was awesome.
- 4/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Clean room, Great View!
- 5/5
Parking was fine, loved the balcony view. Would like the same room on my next visit.
- 2/5
The property is in need of a DEEP cleaning and maintenance. The shower had very low pressure and the hotel is loud, my husband left early for this reason- if you’re a light/ medium sleeper this isn’t optimal. The fire alarm went off after a night of loud doors/ floors and restless sleep. A man came outside laughing as people were waiting for an update stating that it was a false alarm, but didn’t let everyone know, just a few people standing by the exit. The emergency light in the room flashed for an hour or more after, very poor communication and truly just frustrating.
- 5/5
Great location in town but near pier and ocean walk
- 4/5
Parking was great and our view was wonderful. We were located in wallking distance of dinning and shopping. Would stay there again,
- 1/5
As soon as we got in the room, we could smell the mold. We were advised that they were under construction but in reality the hotel should be shut down and remodeled and then reopened. The mini fridge in the room was FULL of rust. The microwave was OLD. I took some tissue and ran ot across the floor and the fllor was DIRTY. There was loterally a whole in the wall behind the bed. We spent one night because we were exhausted from driving and actually got another hotel the next day and left. Due to the cancelation policy we were SOL as far as a refund. Do not let the outside deceive you. Wait until the remodeling is done and then give it a try.
- 3/5
sheets and mattress cover kept coming off at conners lack of base boards. furniture scuffed and needs to be updated
- 4/5
I think the property was undergoing some renovations, but I never saw workers. Super convenient location. Could use some updating.
- 5/5
Very nice location and friendly staff!
- 3/5
The location and basic layout was excellent. But it seems like the rooms are at the end of their decor cycle--and the whole needs to be cleaned and renovated.
- 3/5
There was a smell in the room. The floor was a wooden floor that seemed like it was just mopped before we got there because it stayed damp the entire weekend. I think that attributed to the smell.
- 5/5
Shower curtain was not installed properly. Folded in half so it did not cover the entire shower. Water everywhere.
- 2/5
Convenient location
- 5/5
We loved staying at Ocean Inn and Suites! The staff were so friendly and always available. We were given lots of recommendations for places to eat in the area. We only stayed 2 nights and we would go back. The place itself looks like it’s undergoing some construction and some upkeeping. We didn’t have much of a problem with the appearance other than some tiles in the ceiling were discolored and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t the best. Other than that, WE LOVED IT!
- 4/5
I dont like giving negative reviews, but I hope this spurs ownership to renovate.
- 5/5
Rooms nice size, clean and we had a great view of the lighthouse
- 5/5
all good. desk staff very helpful
- 3/5
Condo needs some attention; definite signs of wear. Requested towels numerous times before provided. Possibly understaffed.
- 5/5
My 1irst stay had a better view of the Lighthouse. This is an older hotel that is well maintained.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice helpful staff. Awesome view of lighthouse, short walk to beach and restaurants.
- 5/5
Highly recommend if you're vacationing on St. Simon Island.
- 4/5
Easy walk to pretty views. Very walkable to dining. East to get out to yours and sightseeing.

Excellent location. Breakfast offering is pathetic. Cleanliness is questionable. Exhust vent in Room 212 flithy. Housekeeping missed our room one day with no explanation. Holes in walls of corridor in second floor could easily be fixed. Trash in the front garden stayed there for four days. It is like no one takes pride in the place which is a shame.

Nice older hotel. Renovation coming? This hotel is located within walking distance of water and "the Village". You probably would enjoy a room with balcany. St. Simons is beautiful with several interesting restaurants and a quite and relaxing feel. Much better than Jekyll island.
- 5/5
Nice boutique hotel in walkable distance to shops and restaurants. When you enter the hotel there’s a mildewy smell but it doesn’t carry into the room. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean.
- 5/5
The front desk clerk was very friendly and efficient.Check in was quick and easy. The room is spacious and comfortable. I love the location. It is in walking distance of the shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
A quaint hotel in a quaint picturesque town on St Simon Island. Everything was very nice.
- 5/5
All staff was courteous, Robert wenrmt out of his way to explain all the places to visit and restaurant's that locals visit along with tourists.
- 4/5
i really enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
We got an early checkin and love the location.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, good value, great location.
- 2/5
There was an unpleasant odor. Property was being renovated and hallways were not finished. We did not stay.
- 5/5
Staff was professional and friendly , comfy beds and great view from balcony

Robert at the front desk was terrible. We arrived early and he said our room would be ready at 2:00pm. When we returned he had no idea who we were and told us again room would available shortly. There were other guest waiting on their room as well. He was on a personal call which was very loud and not professional at all. We waited for 1 1/2 hour and then decided to go spend a couple hours at the beach before we came back to check if room was available. Also bathroom was not clean. Mold all over the shower. Very disappointed as I had stayed there 2 1/2 years ago and really enjoyed it. Not coming back.

Great hotel
- 5/5
We loved everything about Ocean Inn and Suites, Even though it was under renovations it did not effect cleanliness and very friendly service.
- 4/5
Great location, convenient and comfortable. The people at the front desk couldn't be nicer. But, there was a strong musty odor in the room.
- 4/5
Ocean Inn and Suites is a charming hotel just steps from the Atlantic coastline and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and shops. While the interior and furnishings are a bit dated, the room was comfortable and clean, making it a pleasant choice for a two-night weekend stay. We also appreciated the free covered parking.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly. Our room however, was not very clean.
- 5/5
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. We had a spacious two bedroom suite with a nice view. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel. Good amenities. Great location.
- 5/5
Great location for a great stay on the island. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Less than 10 minute drive to the beach. Rooms a little outdated, but renovations are coming according to friendly front desk staff.
- 4/5
lovely, liked that this was a smaller hotel, close to food, shopping, waterfront
- 4/5
Commode needed to be fixed.
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable. Wash bowl had a serious drainage issue, water going down super slow! The so called "breakfast" is nothing to get up for. Coffee was good. Pool not heated but still enjoyable. Most annoying was the fire alarm going off announcing there was a fire in the building asking to use the stairs to evacuate the building, which got us out of bed running out in a panic only to find out it was a "TEST". The location is really good, and we may go back but probably not staying at the same hotel.
- 5/5
This place is the best it’s a must go
- 5/5
Great spacious clean. Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. Excellent
- 5/5
Excellent location and amenities
- 4/5
Wood flooring, unique outside, needed updates
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Nice location. Convenient parking.
- 3/5
Rooms and common areas were in poor condition. Breakfast was terrible and pool furniture was shabby.
- 5/5
The desk clerk even shared his crab dinner with my wife and I.
- 4/5
The beds were ok. The bathroom needed more cleaning and the shower curtain smelled “sour”.
- 5/5
It’s a very nice place to stay. We enjoy being close to the pier and the beautiful park near there. The rooms are nice and our breakfast there was nice, light and beneficial.
- 5/5
Loved the coffee machine.
- 4/5
Good stay! Very kind emplyees
- 3/5
Overall property is ok but certain details are lacking. For instance - Bedding does not fit the bed (fitted sheets will not stay on the mattress), sink and tub drains are extremely slow to drain, faucet screw caps are missing which allowed unsanitary dirt and grime to accumulate, base boards are missing in hallways (cracks allow dirt and trash to accumulate), on site parking is tight and sparse (street parking is available), plumbing supply lines squeal when in use, in room safe does not work (DOA), housekeeping procrastinates and is slow to clean rooms (takes all day to clean very few rooms - no wonder check in is 4pm), hardwood floors in room are dirty and gritty
- 4/5
The room and hotel was clean it just needs decor upgrade. Breakfast was very minimal. Not many options. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen big. Refrigerator kept everything cold and frozen once again just old. Very confident to everything. The suite we stayed in was very spacious furniture not very stylish, wobbly chair and table. Would definitely stay again price, size and very convenient.

Loved the hotel and accessibility to restaurants, sho
- 5/5
I like how it is situated close to all the shopping and food stores. Close to the park, beach, and pier. When I visit St Simons Island again, I will surely book Ocean Inn and Suites again.

Loved location and convenience
- 3/5
Loved the location and the ability to walk around. The property is dated and the manager was never on duty.
- 5/5
I love this hotel! Walkable to everything. Always clean, safe and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great location! Within a short walk of beach, lighthouse, and many shops and restaurants. There is nothing fancy about this hotel, but it is comfortable.
- 5/5
Good stay. Just had one incident with someone taking a fall on the sidewalk a few feet from the pool (other side of fence) because there was a place cut out there that had not been filled in. That was tragic as it was near the end of the trip and we had to get some first aid items to wrap the ankle. Hope action is taken. It was reported.

Ocean Inn is in a great location for access to all that St. Simon’s has to offer. Our room was spacious with a great view. While very comfortable, decor and fixtures could use updating for a more current and functional look.
- 4/5
Hotel is in the perfect area. Lots to do within walking distance. Pool was good. Room was dated and definitely needed some love but it was fine for a weekend.
- 4/5
Rooms had an old charm, location was excellent, staff very friendly. The breakfast bar could do with another waffle iron as the line tends to get long but overall great experience
- 1/5
Needs to be updated no parking tiny tv
- 4/5
Great location. Staff are friendly.
- 5/5
Friendly and close to everything
- 3/5
All was great, except there was never anyone at the front desk to check in or out at our stay. Had to wait 15 mins for someone to come front desk to check in. Was not anyone at front desk when tried to check out, so left my key on the desk and left.
- 4/5
It is in a great location within easy walking distance of many attractions. While the facility was very clean, it is beginning to show its age with some repairs apparently underway? Also our television would not come on without getting assistance from the front desk. Also the coffee maker was not working on several occasions.
- 3/5
Hotel is outdated, dirt in the floor, poor television functionality, no coffee in rooms, sheets are too small for the bed, continental breakfast was inadequate, and parking was limited to small vehicles. Was my first and last time staying there.

The property has an old smell and out dated really bad. It was moldy in the ceiling.
- 4/5
We had a balcony facing the light house. It was beautiful but without blackout curtains the light pulsed in our room keeping us awake. Who doesn't have blackout curtains!? Furniture was placed to optimize large groups and was awkward. The rooms floors were covered in sand and sticky but the bathroomwas reasonableif you ignorethe fact that the floor hadn't been mopping between stays. Don't even bother with breakfast the self serve coffee machine, apple and packaged muffin isn't worth the trip but if you want close to the beach and reasonable prices this is it.
- 5/5
Great location, walkable to many great restaurants in the area. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Everything was quiet, cozy, comfortable, and the staff was so friendly!
- 4/5
Hotel was an excellent value for the location. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping. The property was very dated. The curtain rod in our room was lopsided and not secure to the wall. The min fridge was old and dented. The hallway paint was scuffed and dingy. There was not base molding along the floor in the hallway, which caused dirt and debris to collect between the wall and floor. There was a nice coffee machine in the lobby with fresh drinks available 24/7. Breakfast in the lobby was sparse and unappealing.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean
- 5/5
Very nice Property in a convenient location. Great staff!
- 4/5
The stay was fine. The location was excellent, the rooms were quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is in the heart of the pier/lighthouse area, and it was perfect for walking to restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The rooms were clean but very much in need of updating. We didn’t interact much with the staff, but when we did, they were professional and courteous. I might stay here again, but it was not a memorable stay.
- 5/5
We enjoyed staying at Ocean Inn and suites. The location was very convenient to town, park, pier. They have started renovating but had stopped for the summer. Our room was on the lobby floor and just above the pool. It was clean and smelled fresh. The room is large, bed is very comfortable. Even though they were full it was very quiet and peaceful.

I reserved two rooms, no rooms ready at 4:09 pm, still no room ready at 5:45 pm. Canceled and got refund, but very crappy way to treat customers.

After seeing the room and then requesting a new room (we have NEVER made such a request before in our entire lives and we’ve stayed in some pretty sketch places when we were young and broke), we were very condescendingly informed that that’s what we got when we booked the “discounted room” - weren’t aware of this when we booked, and when we booked “the last room available” - that’s weird since we booked EIGHT MONTHS AGO. This clearly used to be an office that they threw a bed in and converted to a room. All of the furniture looked like it was left over from something else, mismatched, misaligned, scuffed… Maybe they can use this as a to-do list to fix before the next person they scam: The door to the room wasn’t even shut all the way when we checked in, it was cracked open. No peephole for security. The fridge door had no racks for the shelves so you couldn’t use the fridge door for storage. The freezer compartment didn’t have a door, so nothing to keep the temperature contained so everything in the fridge froze, the fridge had a layer of ice at the bottom. You couldn’t open the bathroom door all of the way because it hit the bed. There was no where to put our bags, except on a minuscule 1-drawer dresser under the wall mounted 30” tv or on a chair stuffed in the corner (partially blocking the closet), that faced the opposite direction of the tv. In the entire room, you had about 3’ of walking space around th

No complaints. Everything superb, even the free parking!

The view of the lighthouse and the size of our suite was amazing. The lady who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. However, finding previous guests clothing in the closet and on the floor in both rooms was unsettling. The bathrooms were disgusting. It looked like the shower hadn’t been scrubbed in months. We couldn’t lock the balcony door because the handle was broken and the guy who was at the front desk during the evening basically said you aren’t on a ground floor so don’t worry about it. First, that is a horrible response. Second, the other rooms balcony was so close to our balcony and someone absolutely could come in. Third, what if we had a toddler and we needed the door locked for safety??? Not only that but we couldn’t use the pool because there were two women smoking pot by the pool and they were acting extremely concerning. I don’t think they were staying there and maybe friends with the front desk guy. Just the way it appeared. We left the pool because we didn’t want our 10 year old exposed to that behavior. Then I was awoken to people arguing and screaming. THEY NEED SECURITY!!! We will never stay here again. The island is pretty safe but I didn’t feel that way at this hotel.

Always perfect

Great place, it is at the beach so typical beach wear and tear.. awesome time!!
- 3/5
Run down room. Strange smell in corridors and rooms. Noisy aircon.
- 3/5
Loved location, staff really aimed to please. I was informed by expedia, and property-several months back that it’s under construction, it looks like there’s little to no construction going.
- 4/5
We were right across the street from the lighthouse. We were within walking distance of the pier, pool, playgtound.
- 5/5
The staff was very kind and the rooms were clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Great location and with a nice laid back vibe.
- 5/5
We stayed in the St Simons suite and it was awesome. Plenty of room and supplies and much better rate than other properties on the island.
- 2/5
The staff working there was great however, we were awakened at 1 in the morning with girls screaming and fighting in rhe hallway. That went on for 45 minutes. The shower made a loud whistling sound and 2 inches of water stood in bottom of the tub. The pool had sand in the bottom. Too many unsupervised kids everywhere. I can go on but thats enough for now
- 4/5
The property is being updated. The continental breakfast was very limited, but okay.
- 5/5
The room was nice with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The hotel is in walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants so it was great that we didn’t have to drive anywhere. They’re currently doing renovations, but it did not impact our stay. We would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Rooms could use updating, but for one night and the location it was perfect for our family. Workers were super friendly and took pride in cleanliness and accommodating guests. Would stay here again.
- 4/5
Very different shaped room. Breakfast wasn't much. Waffles, muffins, apple, oranges, no juice or milk, no decaf coffee. Definitely could have been better.
- 5/5
We loved the location for walking downtown and seeing the lighthouse.
- 3/5
Our stay was good, the only complaint is our tv had no channels, we called front desk and apparently the person that works on that was not there so we stayed with no tv

My husband was upset to find hair in the sink and the bathroom floor was dirty .
