    The hall and room had a weird smell possibly mildew. Somehow the room was very clean but had a smell of body odor. My job called and sent me somewhere else same night did not get to experience much.

    Was a good stay overall. Only thing that was a challenge was the elevator wasn’t working properly and the swimming pool was filthy. Hot tub didn’t work at all. Breakfast was the normal continental level but there was only a select of those items. No oatmeal at all and the turkey sausage that was being served was the precooked which was still cold . The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy and the apple juice was really delicious. The room was nice and cold and clean as well as the restroom. The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable and there was no sheets or pillows for it so wasn’t able to use it as a bed . Overall though it was a good stay.

    Expedia needs to do better with presenting realistic pictures of the types of room we are getting. This room was dirty very outdated, toilet didn’t work as it wouldn’t flush, AC wasn’t working and we didn’t even have the appropriate items needed for the pull out couch. We specifically requested a room that would fit 4 people. I had to go to Walmart and get blankets and pillows because the hotel couldn’t furnish that for us. The pool is in poor conditions super disgusting and dirty. The staff is very friendly and nice. Breakfast is ok

    The staff was awesome, but we had two adults and two kids in the room and there wasn’t enough bedding for the pullout, we had to go down and ask. And ask again for pillows. The adult bed was super uncomfortable and the AC made the living room super cold while the bedroom was stuffy and hot. There were also not enough towels for four people to take a shower so we used pool towels instead. the pool was nice, the hot tub was running but wasn’t hot. The breakfast was prettt good. It was decent for the time we spent there, but will choose another Marriott when coming to Lackland AFB next time.

    I’ve stayed in newer Residence Inns and this one was old and rundown with a lot of issues. First, it wasn’t spotless when I checked in. There was leftover trash just sitting on the counter. The sink in the bathroom leaked. I got a one bedroom suite which also has a pullout sofa. I informed the front desk my 25 year old son was joining me on my trip and asked for linen sheets and towels, which they made me take up to the room myself. The price fluctuates depending on the day and you pay for parking on the hotels premises that does not have security or a gate. The carpet was gross and had stains all throughout the room. There’s a nice large fridge in the unit and basic necessities for cooking if you choose.

    Miss Roxanne & Marco were very pleasant, very very pleasant. Roxanne is a jewel to the company. Marco is a diamond as well. He allowed me to extend my day with no questions asked. Miss Roxanne treated me like a human and acknowledge my family. Those are very great people. Mr. Darrell was so nice. He helped me with my batteries for my remote. The staff is beautiful. The pool was dirty and Green and we booked the hotel based upon the indoor pool and the Jacuzzi wasn’t working. The light was broke at the basketball court. And I wasn’t too fond of the breakfast.

    However, the guests above us had an uncontrolled child romping anf stomping all over their room the ENTIRE time. Took multiple calls to the desk and even direct calls to their room to get it to stop at 1 AM!! It continued into day/night number 2.

    Overall a nice property, kids had a great time at the pool, breakfast was good with a large variety. However, the air conditioning was not working properly in our room and it shut completely off from 9:45pm-2:00am and we slept horrible. The air conditioning all over did not seem to be working properly as it was stuffy/humid in the lobby and halls also. Front desk did not seem to care when I told them.

    We weren’t really in the room for most of our stay but there was no trash can, the toilet was difficult to flush, hotel needs updating, swim area needs updating, barely any face towels to use. We had to go ask for more. The toilet clogged but the maintenance guy came right away which I appreciated. The $8 a night parking doesn’t make sense. It’s a hotel with a parking lot, nothing special, no valet… etc.

    Everything was so easy & efficient from check-in to check-out. Reception was helpful, extremely friendly & efficient throughout check-in & later on in the evening when we needed assistance for a broken glass out on the patio. The studio room was amazing with more than enough space for us & a great layout that was perfect for the 3 of us that were staying there. The price was comparable to other locations close by. While it was close to the highway (410) & shopping/entertainment, etc., it was surprisingly quiet in the courtyard/patio area which of course transferred to the room being quiet as well. We will definitely be back!

    I read a review where a family lost their 2 bedroom reservation, and we almost did too. They said they tried calling? Anyhow, broken elevator, 2 bedrooms with less beds, breakfast was ok. I wouldn't say 5 Star, but because it was comfy, we enjoyed it and wouldn't mind returning. Right next to couple restaurants and a cinema too. Halfway to sea world and riverwalk reason we got it, wasn't a bad idea. Do we get a discount for honesty? LOL

    I enjoyed having access to breakfast in the mornings. It was super convenient for my boys and husband. I didn’t like when I arrived on the property at 4:00pm, which was my check-in time, and I was told the room was not ready because there were platinum members still in the room. I was told because they were platinum members they had the luxury of leaving at 4:00pm and I would have to wait an additional hour before I was able to be accommodated. It didn’t matter my family and I had traveled four hours to get to San Antonio. I was told I could go shopping or grab food while I waited. The staff members were saying my name incorrectly even after I corrected them several times. It was very frustrating having to go back to the car only to tell my family we had to wait because the previous family was deemed more important by status. One of the managers did offer compensation for one night’s stay which was a very kind gesture. However, moving forward whether platinum member or first time customer each person should be handled as if they as just important as the next. The room was rushed to be cleaned. There were areas in the room where my husband and I had to clean. There was no trash can in the common area and my husband had to ask for trash bags just for us to have someone to put the trash. He mentioned to housekeeping there wasn’t a trash bin in the room and we didn’t receive one. It smelled very stuffy and there were dried spots on the furniture in the living area. I attempted to take disinfectant wipes to bring comfort to my family.

    The customer service and room and breakfast were phenomenal. It’s centrally located for the airport and Lackland Air Force base. The worst thing was the hot tub never got fixed the whole week we were there and the pool could’ve definitely been cleaner but that was all! We had a suite and a group of 6 and 7 when we had my son after his graduation. They congratulated all of us and were always accommodating when we needed extra towels and wash cloths or just to use the outside grill and laundry :) I would definitely stay again!

    I loved the breakfast daily it was great. The room needs to be updated and cleaner. Regardless if pet friendly the carpets were not clean and my dog kept finding food like chips and candy in corners. It seemed as though there had not been a thorough cleaning of any of the rugs not even the ones in the hallway. I saw two roaches in the kitchen and bought bug spray so where there is one there might be more. But I didn't get grossed out or complain we just handled it. At the pool, there were not enough towels so often we had to bring our own. For the amount paid, we expected a bit cleaner rooms. The last thing that was not ok was i was told i had to pay for parking when i booked it said there was free parking so that was a hidden fee i was not expecting especially because this was more of a suburb than a city hotel where i could have stayed and aid for parking.

    The general manager was very helpful as the AC had gone out before we arrived, they made arrangements for us to stay at a nearby hotel. AC ended up being fixed so we did stay at the Residence Inn. Everyone was so friendly & helpful during our stay.

    Hubby works away and this was our meeting point, we wanted to sleep in late and just relax. When we first got there our room door was open. Then We did not get much sleep due to that the air started making loud noises at 7:00am that woke us up.. breakfast was ok but by 9:00am almost everything was out and not everything got restocked. Before leaving I informed the front desk of the air and the door and they where like “ok we will look into it”.. with that said we would not stay here again.

    We were charged 4x by the hotel and 1x by Expedia so we were charged a total of 5x. We couldn’t do anything because of the issue. The manager at the time said that he was going to get Expedia to refund us and that they would refund as well, but we still didn’t get the refund from Expedia. The person who was working the desk when we checked out said that she would get the manager to call us but we haven’t heard anything from them. Also the elevator wasn’t working so we had to wait for someone to get the elevator to go down. Also we stayed in room 230 and the doors wouldn’t stay shut. We would close the door but as soon as the ac turned on the door would open and we had to get out of bed to close the door.

    Before we arrived the manager, Robert, called to inform us the air conditioner in that room wasn’t working and asked if two separate rooms would be ok. We agreed. The 22nd I noticed there was an additional charge for $330 pending from the hotel. I spoke to the person at front and she informed me she would get Robert to fix the charge. After we checked out, we noticed ANOTHER charge for 363.96. My husband has called and spoken to both managers (Robert and Albert) multiple times since our stay. He has sent them screenshots of our receipts and charges. They have promised him they will get this charge fixed. They still have not. Nor have they reached out to us. We were never informed there would be additional charges for the changes in accommodation that we did not request. I’ve tried calling multiple times and the person at the front always says the manager is not available. They’ve even gone as far as not answering when they recognize our numbers, but when we call from a different number they answer on the first ring.

    This hotel was the worst . When we checked into the room we noticed fixtures in the shower had been torn off the wall and instead of fixing it whomwver got them room ready just placed the items in the soap dish. I went and reported it with pictures to the desk clerk and she acted like she could'nt be bothered. None of the tv channels worked. Not even the local channels. The only good thing was that we were able to use our netflix account on the tvs for the kids. We also had a huge issue with getting towels .When we would ask for them they'd either say they had none available or they would give us 2 towels for 4 people. I definitely will not be booking at this hotel again.

    Convenient location with breakfast. I wish there was a play area or playset for children. If they are not going to bring back the evening reception then an option for wine etc. nightly etc. We were disappointed the reception wasn't included as advertised by Expedia.

    When we got to the hotel and checked in, I was not informed that I did not get the room that I booked that morning. It wasn't until i got to the room, that I found out it was a completely different room. I went down to talk to the front desk clerk and he said "Oh I forgot to tell you we sold out of your room." When I booked that room earlier in the morning, there were 3 reservations left. So, there should have been at least one room for my family and I. We were going to let it slide and talk to the manager in the morning about getting a portion of what we paid for the room back since it was a smaller room, but the room was dirty. There was some kind of sticky stain on one of the nights stands (definitely not a scratch in the wood). Fixtures were dirty, water stains in the ceiling. There was still trash from a previous guest in there. Significant mold in the cabinet underneath the sink. Someone elses hair in the drawers. At that point after only being in there for 10 minutes, we decided to cancel our stay. Ended up having to stay with a family member last minute. Terrible experience. In all my time using Hotels.com, this is the first bad experience I have had. The Hotels.com app wont even let me post the pictures.

    Very nice hotel with nice big room. Check in was a breeze. Room could have been cleaner, shower had lots of hair on walls as of previous guest had a trim. The rest of the restroom was very dusty

    Police officer in parking lot at all times was scary wondered why they have to have police presence in the parking lot. We tried three different hotel rooms. All three of them. The air condition was broken. Finally they gave us a room that the AC worked. The front desk was unapologetic and sort of rude that we didn’t want to stay in a room without air condition. The hotel needs remodeling. I saw the same pieces of trash on the floor every day that I was there.

    We enjoyed our stay! It looks like they are slowly upgrading the property but our visit was peaceful. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was self serve, which was nice and the staff was pleasant.

    It was unforgettable nightmare night . the plan was to sleep early and go the Aquatica on early morning as its weekend and the place will be crowded so you need to get early to there ..ok let's start ..room description says 4 sleeps and we where 4 , me, my wife and my two kiddos 5,6 years. Ask the reception for extra mattress, pillows and covers , nothing was available ..Ok ..we figured out a way to fit all my family to sleep..Ok ..we got sleep to wake up early morning. 3 am heard starnge sounds and its starts getting louder and the light inside the room starts blinking. Ok check the noise there was water fall from the light inside the bathroom , water leaks from the roof .kids were sleep , me thinking to do something, half hour nothing change and i was hoping the water will stop and back to sleep .but unfortunately the water leakage keep getting crazy. Time to get help from hotel ..i went to the reception there was one guy there , i explained for him the problem and he said not know what to do. The only thing he said he offered me a another room in different floor with different setup ..really my kids are sleeping snd you want me at 4 am to start packing my clothes my stuff and wake-up my kids and move to another room , wow ..the water leakage continued all the night .i put some towels on the falls spot at least reduce the noise. No sleeps all the night, end with canceling our aquatica plan which was already paid in advance $500..ok ..one of the worst night in my life

    Convenient location. We stayed here 5 days while our son was graduating from the Airforce. The hot tub was broken the entire time. The heater was out. If you asked the front desk about it, they would say it is working fine. Otherwise it was good.

    Red ants all over our first room. Room was very dusty. Pool was absolutely disgusting…they would leave the door open so the dirt and leaves would blow into the pool. Hot tub was always cold. Stayed there 9 days with no housekeeping provided!!!! Dirty pool area

    We arrived very earlier for checkup because my husband meeting they let us to got in the room around before 9:30am was wonderful for me and my son with autism and his dog. Invited me to have breakfast and always smiling except for breakfast attendant. Room was smelling clean and fresh.

    Our vehicle was broken in to our first night there. The security guard at the hotel is a freaking joke. His shift is from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. but you didn't hear or see anyone breaking into a vehicle parked on the front parking lot in a well lit area. He looks like he could care less about his job. Of course there are no cameras. According to the police, this happens often in this area. The room was not worth the money we paid. It had a slight musty smell, you couldn't fully turn off the bathroom faucet and the comforter on the bed had stains on it. I can say that the manager did come speak with us one day after the incident and offered one night free stay at the hotel. Never will I ever stay here again nor would I recommend anyone else to stay here. Horrible experience

    nice place, a bit dirty in many obvious places, AC in room very loud, more than normal, bags of breakfast not bad, but its time to get back to some sort of real food, that is why i stay there, the wonderful breakfast and nightly snacks. nightstand plugs are questionable: sometimes work sometimes not. its a great location, many nearby restaurants, away from highway noise, i would stay again, i have stayed there enough in the past to know its not as clean as in the past, very obvious.

    The room I paid for was a great size and nice. The heat didnt work which I told the receptionist at check in. She told is to press the button really hard and wait a minute it would heat up. It was the night of Valentines Day, snowing and we were stuck in a freezing cold room. Three hours later calling back down we were moved to a smaller room and not even offered any type of compensation for the downgrade and time left in a freezing room. Very disappointed!

    Definitely not the cleanest.. it was actually questionable. Front desk staff, Mark have terrible customer service. It took him 10 minutes to realize I was waiting to check in and only can put because I called him out of the staff room while he was stoned and watching tv. He then said it looked like our room hadn’t been cleaned, mind you this was at 12am, you would assume by now the room is b ready. He said he would go check and then came down and made it seem as though it was ready but didn’t convince us and when we questioned it, he just gave us attitude.

    Excellent facility. Very clean and nice employees. They greeted us leaving and coming each time. If we needed something, they were happy to oblige. The 2 Queen studio is bigger than the picture appears. Had a wonderful Christmas at this hotel.

    This is the third time we've stayed here and at this point, we won't stay anywhere else when visiting San Antonio!! We had a mild hiccup this time around, however they went above and beyond to make it right!! Checking in we had a very nice young man and every employee from that point on was very nice, but of course we are use to that with this wonderful place!!     It's a kind of old hotel and not very clean. We drove from Houston to this hotel on Friday night. When we arrived, the front desk staff told me our booked room was unlocked and gave to other people. Then he said he would fix the problem and upgrade our room for free. However, later he noticed that he was unable to fix it and contacted expedia for help. He even want us to pay $60/NIGHT extra because he unlocked our room and there was no available same kind of room.That's really ridiculous, and he argued that was not him want to charge, it's because the system need to charge. We have 4 adults and 3 young kids, we were waiting for him to fix the problem for more than 40 minutes, why we need to pay for your mistake! Who is going to pay us for that wasted 40 mins? Will not come back again.

    This hotel only provided bar soap, shampoo & conditioner for tolietries. The pool was decent with near by grills. The basketball court is 1/2 court with the hotel providing a basketball. Breakfast was excellent & opened early to accomodate those attending the early Lackland USAF ceremony. I love that this property supports our military troops. Close by restsurants include Texas Roadhouse, KFC & Taco Bell.

    The staff was friendly most of the time, and the breakfast was really good. The elevator broke during our trip so we had to walk to the end of the hall to find stairs, and walk up to the 3rd floor every time. Taking our luggage down was a disaster. Our bathroom door wouldn't close, we had to slam it shut every time. At the end of our trip we noticed black mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. Our bed blanket was ripped to shreds in some areas. There were yellow stains on the walls that had never been painted over. Our couch had stains on the cushions so we had to cover the couch in extra sheets we had in the hotel closet the entire stay.
