The free airport shuttle that left early in the morning was the main reason we stayed there. Staff told us the shuttle would take 10 minutes to arrive at the airport, but it took almost 30 minutes because the shuttle stopped to pick up passengers at 3 or 4 more hotels before arriving at the airport and we almost missed our flight. Also, the rooms are not well sound-proofed. We were kept awake by noisy neighbors with a blaring TV.

It was a decent place to stay. The breakfast was bland but better than nothing. The room was ok. Nothing super amazing but it wasn’t bad either.

I called, I texted, I emailed; however, no one addressed my request for the invoice!!

I had a very short stay at this hotel but it was perfect for me! I liked it. it was small and quaint and the room was exceptional. super quiet. the air conditioner even stayed on all night without rattling! bed was really comfortable and his staff was wonderful. I also love that they have an airport shuttled both directions and that I could park my car in a safe location while I travel.

Staff are friendly. First, the room I received did not match my reservation. I booked a room with two queen beds, but I was given a room on the second floor with two smaller beds. This was not the room type I reserved and it negatively affected our stay. Second, I am concerned about the breakfast. My son ate a spoonful of yogurt at breakfast. After that, he refused to eat or drink anything until the following day. He also vomited twice half an hour after the breakfast that same day. Third, the hotel room location is close to the main road, and the noise from cars make it difficult to rest properly. I have already contacted the hotel to request a refund based on the experience, but I haven't received a response yet. Given the incorrect room type, the poor breakfast experience, and the noise issue, I am requesting a refund or appropriate compensation for this stay. Please respond with your proposed resolution as soon as you can.

A little issue with Expedia reward of one bottle of wine and one with sparling wine. Only got two small cans of wine which front desk explained was cleared with Expedia?

The room was comfy, clean, quiet and spacious. All amenities were provided, although could have used more towels. The shuttle runs every hour, so you might need to leave earlier than planned. Also note that it stops at a few other hotels, but it is very efficient and sticks to the timetable, so you should have no worries about making your flight. All in all, we had a fine stay.

Airport shuttle made too many stops on the way to SFO. Passenger elevator looked like a service elevator. Nice building facade and on site parking. Short distance from SFO.

After we missed a flight at SFO, we needed a hotel that was close to the airport and provided a shuttle service. This hotel was what we needed and more! They even had coffee and tea available 24/7 and snacks ready for us when we left for the airport at 4am! Very friendly and helpful, overall a nice place to stay.

The property was very well kept. The staff was very helpful. And their shuttle service to and from the airport was very convenient. Definitely would stay here and recommend to my friends.

It was horrible! Another couple entered our room with a key while we were in the room. It was dirty, had broken furniture, and scratchy sheets. Left a day early!!

Mini-fridge did not work, the shower had a non-slip adhesive that was black on the edges. But it was otherwise clean otherwise for a single night stay so not horrible. Google map directions to the hotel did not take you to the correct location, so you may have to search for it by looking at addresses visible on the street.

The shuttle was good. Make sure to sign up the night ahead. This hotel could use some TLC. It's old and could use a facelift. Hat's off to every one of the staff. They make this place shine!

This hotel is perfect if you have a layover flight. I only booked this because we came in from Singapore at 10pm. The free shuttle to and from the airport is why I booked this hotel and late check in. The front desk was pleasant we signed up for the morning shuttle. The only negative was the shuttle ends at 11;20 pm. We landed at 10 pm but immigration is a joke, so we missed the shuttle and we had to take our luggage because it was a 9-hr. layover. The taxis cost 40.00 one way. It's like 10 mins away. The morning shuttle driver was super helpful. The room was clean and a hot shower was welcomed after 14 hr. flight. Next time i might choose the Hyatt because it's connected to the airport which I didn't realize.

This hotel was perfect for our two night stay in proximity to SFO. The staff were all helpful, the breakfast buffet more extensive than we expected, the room very clean and well designed for electronics, the night quiet and dark. The shuttle worked very well to get us to an early morning flight. We will stay here whenever we need a night near the airport. Thanks!

The included breakfast was basic, mainly various forms of carbohydrate in packets. Staff were very helpful. A housekeeping person working on my corridor stopped to help by taking one of my bags to my room - never had that happen before in many years of hotel stays.

The shuttle was also very late at 9:20pm - cold to stand out side and wait.

Nothing special. It was a very basic room. Clean. The towels in the bathroom just adequate. But the king bed was very comfortable. The hotel advertised room service, there was none. But there’s an Italian restaurant across the street with an absolutely delicious minestrone soup! Breakfast ok. The concierge set up breakfast early for us to take the 6 am shuttle to the airport. I’ll try a different hotel next time I need an overnight near SFO.

Had a super early flight from SFO, so decided to stay here overnight. Worked out perfectly. The morning free shuttle to the airport was just great.

The room was decent but nothing great. The plus for this hotel is that there is free parking, free shuttle to the airport and free breakfast (even though is just toast and pancakes, there is no egg or meat). The bad is that they DON'T clean your room when they are supposed to. I was there for 4 nights and expected the room to be clean after the second night as there is a sign that said they clean every other day. I had to ask them specifically the next morning to please clean my room as trash has overflow and I have no more clean towels. They did clean the room but didn't restock my toilet paper. I can't stay in a place where I need to beg someone to do there job and clean my room when they are supposed to. If they don't want to clean, then put a sign up and say so, not say they will clean every other day.

The description on Hotels.com made it seem better than a regular airport hotel but it wasn't. It was fine but not nice.

The room’s lights were not working and the staff said the engineer were not available to fix it. The WIFI reception was so bad, even our room was closed to where the router is located. No housekeeping proactively cleaning the room unless you asked for it. I stayed in Room 202, the bathtub has a faulty drain stopper, the bathtub cannot hold water. In conclusion, the room rate I paid is comparable to that of a higher-grade hotel, which makes this experience particularly disappointing.

The hotel is ca.15-minute walk from Millbrae, where there are several restaurants, supermarkets, Walgreens and options such as Kentucky Fried Chicken. Late check-out was available for an additional fee of $35 for three hours. The only drawback was the noisy heater/fan.

Free parking! The staff here are phenomenal. They are so courteous and go out of their way to ensure you’re comfortable. We had to leave 30 minutes before breakfast was set to start. We notified the front desk the night before to see if we could get maybe some fruit or something easy and instead they prepared breakfast early just for us. They answered any questions we had. Only a 9 minute drive from the airport. Lots of restaurants walkable nearby.

We chose the hotel for an 8 hour layover at SFO, so did not stay overnight. It served its purpose, but it was overpriced given its overall state. Too, the once an hour shuttle service was inadequate as the timing unfortunately worked out that we waited close to an hour at the airport for the shuttle to take us to the hotel. The staff was courteous when present; twice I had a question and the staff was not to be found. There were plenty of towels and hot water and great water pressure.

Room was clean, amenities include microwave and larger fridge a plus. 2 Queen beds worked out well for 2 persons. Bathroom was reasonably spacious with good supplies of towels. Shampoo, shower gel dispensers were nice touches, so was the lotion moisturizer dispenser. Convenient and availability of free self parking made it easy for me to keep my rented vehicle. The room faces the back away from main road offered a quiet night for rest and sleep. 24hr availability of coffee and water in the lobby was very beneficial, alleviated the need for me to buy bottle water. Great one night stay and good value. Staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. Less than 10min drive from SFO offer covenience and works well for catching early flight. Only minus is being a small hotel with very limited facilities.

Everything was fine except we wanted to catch the earlier shuttle to the airport and the desk position simply said no and would not even check if it was possible. It was surprising given how friendly the night manager (owner?) when we arrived. As a result we ordered an Uber.

Bed is very soft, when I sit on it I sink down about 6 to 10 inches. Did not acknowledge VIP status, didn’t get gifts.

I did not like they properties shuttle service.It made multiple stops.only shows up every hour. They used to have a car that just took you to the air and back that was great .now I would recommend a major name hotel for shuttle service or Uber .

The airport shuttle also needs to be rethought. The morning run to the airport stops at 11:05am and doesn’t restart until 3:05pm. The same is true about being picked up at the airport. It stops after 11:00 am and doesn’t resume until after 3pm. Sad and perplexing.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Surprised no traffic noise despite being on a busy road. The HVAC was loud when cycling off and on. Staff was excellent. Good choice for a stay near the airport, with free shuttle service.

For travelers who need a hotel before flying to SFO its convenient. Just remember that parking is free on the night you sleep there. If you leave your car for a week it costs about $126.

Another question is you should tell the guest that the shuttle has three other stops after hotel 1550 so they can plan their timing to get through security at the airport and to their gate it was a little tight for us because we didn’t know that otherwise perfect for the San Francisco night before flight stay

It seems like a smaller boutique hotel like this is able to give you better service, at least that was my experience. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

Property is in need of updating. It has quite a bit of damage. First night parking was free but hoped to have two more nights free since im doing a really quick round trip to the East Coast, but had to pay for the two additional nights.

Convenient to the airport, simple room but has all the necessities needed for a night’s stay. Bed comfortable, shower hot and good towels. Quiet room. Good breakfast, free shuttle to the airport.

Also I usually book a ADA room, since they are the only rooms with handheld shower, unless it is a luxury hotel. Great water pressure, best shower in a long time. Carpet could use a better vacuuming.

Only issue was the remote didn't work but honestly the receptionist came right up immediately and told us the sensor was blocked and behind the RV it was a little wire but it worked once we moved it. . Our room was very big compared to the new York hotels we usually get. Good wate free parking. Free breakfast. A bunch of snacks at the front desk. Comes with free wine. People had their dogsm it was great it was a perfect r hotel honestly everyone was nice and there's a store down the block the safe way

Pretty tired for the price. Heater smelled like it was poisoning us and the thermostat didn’t work. Staff was friendly, but this felt like a place that should cost less than $100/night. We were glad to just be there one night.

This is a run down hotel. Not very clean. Shuttle to airport is like being in a can of sardines. Shuttle service does not belong to the hotel, it is a service they offer though. Not staying here again.

It's a nice witha convenient location. Plenty of restaurants within walking. 1.5 from tourbus stop #3. Bakaka restaurant is close by. The whole city is expensive however the local population is very helpful and friendly.

Checked in at 12:30 and the room was ready. Got charged 30.00 to “check in early”. We had just gotten back from 14 hour flight from Australia. Very unnecessary fee!!!

It’s a motel 8 in disguise

Hotel 1550 fulfilled our requirements for an overnight stay near to the airport. It was clean and our bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was all that was needed and the staff were friendly so I would highly recommend to anyway requiring a short stay near to the airport with a shuttle service included.

This was a last minute booking because we missed our connecting flight. Our arrival in the early hours of the morning was made more bearable by the quick check in and comfort

Unfortunately...we had no hot water. Otherwise...convenient..clean...

There was a delicious restaurant directly across the street serving sandwiches and entrees. We would definitely go back.

Great for airport accessibility. Eye friendly staff. We were on the ground floor next to the car park so some occasional noise.

The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful! Made checking in a breeze. We had a 12 layover at SFO and did not want to wait it out in the airport. Great place. Easy shuttle back to our terminal in the morning. Would book again.

This was a really nice place to stay with a free shuttle to the airport and a park and fly option, this was the perfect place with really reasonable rate. They also offer breakfast comprable to big chain hotels.
