Bay Club Hotel & Marina

Our suite overlooking the marina was wonderful. Large with a sofa, table and two balconies. Thought it was ridiculous to have two balconies but it came in handy when the neighbor sitting on his baloney was way too noisy. Perfect for a relaxing stay.

The fitness area was pretty small with old equipment. The only cardio machines were an elliptical and a bike that were both pretty old and not of real good quality. The fitness center is used by people who have boats at the marina which made it pretty busy most of the time. The small size makes it feel crowded even with only 3 people in there. The pool and hot tub are small but adequate. Parking is limited with the spots being too small for anything larger than a small crossover without obstructing adjacent spots.

After staying here, we can confidently say that we’ll never stay in the “hotel zone” again. We would gladly return to Bay Club Hotel & Marina and highly recommend it to family and friends.

I worked in the hospitality industry for a quarter of my life, to have that rude ass guy say things like that is terrible! The $credit was not taken off our ending room bill! Doubt will ever stay there again. Great location, so we’ll just take our money down the street for our next yearly vacation.

The hotel is in a Great Location. The view is wonderful. The staff was not always friendly. The refrigerator in my room was extremely loud and it was hard to sleep.

We like to stay on the marina view side of the hotel. There is a cute little beach right across the street. Food is good, not great.

Overall nice stay - recommend staying on the marina side the views were really good. Not a lot in walking distance but short drive to most destinations .

Restaurant was surprisingly good. Room was big, clean and had good amenities. Paying for parking was a big bummer. Close to a few good food and drink spots, overlooking the harbor. The elevator was down when we were there but it wasn’t a huge deal.

Great location and views of the bay and marina from Shelter Island. Room was clean and in nice shape. Gym was dirty {never vacuumed) and not kept stocked with workout towels (3 of 4 days missing) and no water cups for the water dispenser. I guess we were supposed to bring some from our room. We least early and check out was easy. The staff indicated if it would be okay to email me the receipt. I agreed so I could get going. I never received a receipt, just a miscellaneous charge for $96 on my credit card. Explanation and receipt PLEASE!

Staff were really nice and views on property are beautiful. Bar has great Happy Hour specials. Good was on point!

Perfect location, super comfortable room, amenities on property were great! I wish parking wasn't $25/day, but it was very safe and hassle-free. The staff was nice, but not overly-accomodating. We felt like welcomed guests, but not overly doted upon. It was ok because the property was really great. We loved the walkability, the view, the location and the convenience to the airport/beaches/restaurants.

The staff here is very kind. The rooms and the public areas could definitely be updated, but everything was clean and very well received by my party especially for the price. Get a room facing the marina. Beautiful views. Bed was comfortable. Large room.

Only think not 100% happy with was we paid for bay side and got a room on south end that faced the marina more than the bay. We get up early and were really looking forward to that sunrise each morning with the sun on our patio. We didn't get that. Other than that, stay was perfect. Thanks.

The room was large, 2nd floor with a great view and big windows over looking the marina. The hotel was built in 1985, I believe it was renovated in 2025. There are definitely older elements, but I think for the price it was exactly as expected. The check in staff at the desk was great. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. Overall, served the purpose of the trip which was a concert at Humphrey’s which was directly next door. The elevator was down for 2 days, but just 1 flight of stairs, so not horrible. I would stay again.

We love the location and the views from all windows, of the bay and sailboats, and the yacht harbor and boats. This hotel is casual classy from the lobby to the bar/dining area (outdoor dining is a plus). We love being in this part of town because it's quiet, not crowded, surrounded by water, close to the airport and downtown, and has several of the best restaurants in San Diego, right on Shelter Island! Only the king size bed wasn't totally comfortable after each night's sleep. We have such a nice bed at home that most hotel beds can't compete ;)

Things to consider: spotty WiFi. While the WiFi does work, we would have to reconnect to it every time, and also agree to the terms of service every time as well. The walls are thin. Something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper and end up with chatty room neighbors. If you have a big car finding parking in the garage can be a bit of hassle.

This was a great choice for an overnight stay. Too bad we didn’t have more time to extend our stay. But this will be a top choice for our next excursion to San Diego. Great location, welcoming staff, beautiful harbor view (glad our room was on that side), full bar and restaurant…so convenient.

Rooms are clean and seem upgraded, beds are comfortable, linen clean. Floor was spongy in one section and walking there transferred it to the bed. Rather small tv with limited channel options. Parking is ample but costs $24 a night Free coffee in the morning off the bar, there is breakfast at the restaurant, pricey of course and the coffee with breakfast is not free. The rooms were actually cheaper on Expedia the day of check-in and when brought to the attention of the front desk, they said we don't know what you paid to Expedia, take it up with them, felt impersonal and smug. Overall a pleasant stay.

On and the ere was another long black hair. Yuk! The refrigerator did not close all the way and did not stay cold, there was no water in the room to use with the coffee maker that you had to walk over to the bathroom counter to plug in. The worst was the main door, there was a 1/4 inch gap between the door and the jam, I could literally look out into the hallway, this immediately made me feel unsafe. I put a towel on the hinge so it hung down as far as it could to block the gap! I opened the top drawer on the desk and it was dirty and sticky. I would not stay here again. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the door space.

Amazing rooms with rooms right over the water on the marina side. Very happy with the location and the service provided.

The only issue with our stay was that there was a noticeable amount of mold in different parts of the room, especially in the restroom. My son has asthma, so he was coughing for most of our stay because of it. Thankfully, we were only there for one night and spent most of the day and night out of the room. I really think the hotel should address the mold issue, as it could seriously affect guests with respiratory conditions. Other than that, everything else about our stay was good.

The kitchen area is in the bathroom area. The microwave is right next to the sink. The lighting in the bathroom could be better. I have multiple pending transactions that haven't fallen off yet. Some range from $20-to $294... There should be a small table on the patio. I also had some small black mold on the shower curtain. The view were amazing.

Best like proximity to Humphreys concert area. The staff at the front desk, bar and pool area are some of the friendliest staff ever encountered. Third time here

Staff was great! Loved the area. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. The restaurant staff was also great. My biggest issue was the balcony. See pics. If I was on the bed I could see the water. Balcony was disappointing but not all balconies were this small. Most were larger. We just got unlucky!

LOVE this place!! Bay on one side (across street) of the hotel, marina directly on the other day. Book ground level marina for an unobstructed view. Restaurant/bar on site and if you time it right, you can sit on your patio or at the restaurant and hear the concerts from Humphrey’s next door.

Our room had a clear view of the marina from our balcony. It was so stunning. In addition, we were attended by the most friendly staff that made our stay a pure pleasure. We loved this place so much, that we booked again for the summer.

Great get away with my husband, although the manager was a little judgy…she stared us down while we were walking to our room which was uncomfortable. Either than that everything else was great! Definitely would stay here again

However, during this visit I heard deafening noise from 4 military jets taking off in rapid sequence from the Naval Air Base on North Island across the bay from the hotel. I experienced this twice during my 2-day stay, but this had never occurred during previous visits to the hotel. I suspect these two very brief episodes were somehow related to the Iran war. So be aware and don't panic. Just cover your ears for a couple of minutes. Enjoy the restaurant & bar overlooking the marina. The food, beverages, and service are very good. If you like, you can exercise in the gym or relax in the pool or hot tub. Enjoy!

LOVE SHELTER ISLAND. Great resort. Only issue I had was the mens bathroom in the lobby had a stench to it quite often.

We stayed for two nights... everything was great. We chose the Marina side with a corner unit... it was fabulous. It is so central to all of the locations that we wanted to visit.... PLNU, Sunset Cliffs, Little Italy, Old Town and so much more. It was also just nice to walk around the marina/bay area and pick up some coffee on the way. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights. We’d chosen a room with a view over the marina and that was definitely a great choice. As we had one of the rooms where the hotel extends out, we had two balconies which offered us a stunning all around view of the marina. The room itself was large with a comfortable king sized bed and a separate seating area and round dining table. The room was clean and quiet, even with the bar area directly below. There was plenty of parking available either in front of the hotel or in the underground parking area. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient and the prices were also very good for the area. The location is fantastic as it’s quiet (civil and naval aircraft excepted) but still easy to get to the rest of San Diego.

This is my go to spot on SD.

This was our first time staying here trying something new. We normally stay in Del Mar. The property was very clean from what we saw inside and out. Our room has a beautiful patio and view and very spacious room. It was clean, nice location and we had a downstairs room. Their was a nice young guy in the day at the desk assist us and an older black lady who checked us out the next day at 4am she was were very kind and friendly. We didn't use amenities or bar. The main staff member that checked us in was dismissive and rude. We checked in with him and paid for a purchase from the mini Mart both times, friendly enough to handle our purchase and get us out of his face. Not the welcome we get normally in the area. So I won't pick this hotel again unfortunately because of this employee. There are enough hotels in this area with really good staff especially at their rate and at check in that it doesn't make sense to pick a place that has rude staff period. No EV charging was rough and we had to pay to park in their parking lot, that's a definite no from me. We spent 80.00 to use a Uber black to get around not going to pay for parking too. It was nice to try something new but not worth the parking fee and dismissive check in.

We have stayed at the Bay Club multiple times over the last 40 years. They have renovated obviously but could probably use another refresh; however, the staff is terrific, the location can’t be beat and we will definitely stay again! Walking distance to three great coffee shops, as well as some terrific dinner options, next door to Humphreys and some fun outdoor concerts enjoyed for free if you’re on the marina side, and some great views from the outdoor dining area where we enjoyed a happy hour or two. Convenient to the airport and all San Diego attractions. Definitely a San Diego gem :)

Terrible greeting staff at check in. Felt like we were bothering by checking in for our exciting anniversary vacation. Once we checked out, I asked about the AAA discount of 20% that we were told, when we checked out and I was told since I used Hotels.com there were not able to honor any discounts now. I explained that Hotels.com did not take my credit card payment the BAY Club charged my card at check in so why couldn't they honor the AAA discount? The manager next to the reg desk just repeated the check-in clerk. I explained that this is a customer service issue and you a reprehensive of the Hotel.com and our "experience" and had I known you were not going to honor the discount like I was told at check in I would understand. The Bay Club manager and check-in staff reputably blamed Hotels.com for not being able to honor the discount. Terrible reflection of Bay Club and Hotels.com based on our experience. Considering expressing concerns on yelp and other platforms unfortunately.

The hotel was very clean, only thing I noticed was an empty alcohol bottle behind the bed when I was searching for a lost item. Hot tub and pool were good. Room with a view of the bay was great. We went to order some food to bring to our room and sat at the bar unacknowledged for a while. A gentleman asked us if we needed help before the waitress. She even acknowledged another table first that got there after us. Bummer that they didn't tell me they charge for parking ahead of time and they charge for cribs. All other hotels we have stayed at do not charge for cribs. Overall was a great stay and would stay again

We had a nice view of the harbor slips with too many boats to imagine. The room maids, the desk staff and the maintenance people were all excellent. Our bathroom was somewhat dated as the porcelain in the tube was worn. Plenty of hot water for showers.

Room was great except didnt really like the microwave on the bathroom sink next to the sink! There was a lot of empty space in the room i feel a table with the microwave would havr been a better choice.

Very nice property with friendly. Room 146 has a small patio that's directly beside a fire pit for the bar, so it's not a good fit for a family. It did close at 10pm though so at least it wasn't super late. There was a major police incident at the property while we were there, but the hotel has done their best to make up for it.

I have stayed at the Bay Club Hotel and Marina every time I have been to SD. It is always welcoming, clean, and a nice overall experience. The breakfast is delicious too!

Parking was not included in the price, and I had to pay an additional $22 per night, which added almost another $200 to the total cost. The room and its furnishings were very basic and looked dated. The bedding and furniture didn’t feel high quality, and I noticed splashes of food on parts of the door and wall, which was disappointing. The location is good since it’s right by the beach, but it’s not quite what the pictures suggest. You do need to walk a bit to get to the sand; I expected to open the door and be right on the beach. No breakfast was included. The perks were also unclear and felt misleading. It was advertised as a $22 credit “per stay,” which I initially thought meant per night. Instead, it was only a one-time credit, and it could only be used at the hotel restaurant, not for water or snacks from the front desk. The staff were generally okay, but the person who checked us in on the first night seemed impatient and short-tempered, giving very little explanation or help with questions. After a long day of travel, that wasn’t the most welcoming start.

The next day, staff completely downplayed the incident, claiming it was just a fight between two women in the lobby—which frankly did not match what everyone witnessed the night before. That lack of honesty and transparency made the situation even worse

I arrived at 2:30, and they let me know the room wasn’t ready and that I had to check in at 4:00. I assumed that was because I didn’t pay the extra $75. I came back at 3:56, and they told me again the room wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be until exactly 4:00. I returned at 4:01, and the front desk lady said, “Phew, I’m glad it’s finally ready.” She handed me the keys and a map but didn’t give me any information about the hotel, parking, elevator location, or anything else. I had to ask for additional details. Since it was my first time staying there, I was hoping for better customer service or at least a rundown of the amenities. The room was nice, so I’m giving it a 3. I couldn’t find bedding for the couch bed in the usual place, the closet, so I called the front desk to ask for it. The guy said, “I guess we can bring up an additional set.” I replied that I didn’t see any in the closet, and he responded, “It’s on the couch bed. When you open it, it’s pre made.” He came off as annoyed that I was even calling about it. Overall, the staff didn’t make me feel welcomed, but the rooms were nice. The parking isn’t horrible but not the best.

We enjoyed the location and the quiet of the area. This was one of the smallest and least appealing bathrooms I've encountered in a while though and there was a small hole in one wall and stains on the walls. Housekeeping did not clean our room well at any point and didn't always leave enough towels for the number of guests in the room. It was alright for the price but overrated on Expedia. More of a 7.0-7.5 out of 10 for us.

Upon check in; the guy helping with the check in was not the nicest. The hotel is nice but older. The pipes creak after you used the bathroom or sink. The AC also is loud and the hotel has an “old” smell. The beds were not very comfortable. Overall ok stay.

We booked a Bay View room and all we can see is a Palm Tree.... do not book room 209 unless you want to b just see a palm tree for extra money

The room was excellent! 2 beautiful beds, with a wonderful deck to sit out on! A nice surprise was having the table and chairs in the room along with a desk! The fridge and microwave were also a nice addition! The only inconvenient thing was having to go to the front desk to get ice as there are no ice machines on the floors. The restaurant was also fantastic and the service was friendly and very pleasant!!! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and stay!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and the location worked well for me. Some of the front desk staff seemed to be unfriendly and not too helpful. The room faucets need updating, and the hot water was almost scalding at times.

The rooms are very clean and very spacious..the staff was really friendly and welcoming i really appreciate that about a place i will be spending my money on and staying to rest and relax

It was a seamless visit. Check in and out was welcoming and easy. The room was nice and had a great view. Parking was easy. Location was perfect. I will look to stay here again for sure.

Clean room in a great location. So many things in walking distance, and yet it seemed remote and quiet on the property. The entire staff that we interacted with were all genuinely nice and friendly people. I noticed all of the comments about “breakfast lady”, and they are all 100% accurate! She was such a sweet woman and made our morning. We will absolutely look here first on our next visit to San Diego!

We stayed for two nights, a family of 8 with three rooms. The rooms were very spacious and the balconies are definitely a plus. Our only frustration was coin laundry facilities with no way to get change. As a family on a little road trip, laundry was a necessity but overall a nice stay.

However, the room I was assigned does not provide a bay view from inside the room. The primary view from inside the room is of the parking lot. The bay is only partially visible if I step onto the balcony and lean outward. This does not align with the room category that was advertised and reserved. Additionally, the in-room television was not a smart TV and did not support YouTube (which was my minimum expectation from such a reputed hotel) or other streaming services. As a result, we had to use our own laptop for entertainment during our stay, which further impacted the overall experience.

Pictures here make it look a little more modern than it was. Our “bay view” was very small balcony that looked into the parking lot and was lit all night with the blue neon from the hotel’s exterior lighting accents. Room was a little musty. The pool is quite small and had concrete work under repair. We also weren’t able to locate any towels for the pool area until an hour or so had passed and staff member brought out a few towels to hand out to the guests. This is a perfectly decent place to stay if you just need a night or two of accommodations for a business trip, I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway or as a “vacation” property.

Easy, quick check-in. Great location on Shelter Island. Morning coffee was tasty. Bar and Dining room service was first rate. Friendly staff all around. Looking forward to our next stay!

Everything was great just didn’t like that. We cannot check in early. It’s just hard for people that have flights in the morning. They just wanna go to the hotel room and check in and rest.

The room has an unpleasant smell and does not meet the standard we expected. Additionally, I was very disappointed with the behavior of the front desk employee, Joshua. His attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful. My husband does not speak English fluently, and Joshua was laughing with other guests while my husband was speaking. This felt humiliating and discriminatory.

For the most part everything was amazing. Staff were kind, courteous, and helpful. The view outside our room was beautiful. The one thing I disliked was the shower had low water pressure. I also did not know I had to pay for parking but seems typical for the area and after doing research was a much lower rate than most hotels.

They gave us the smallest balcony in the entire hotel. Very upset. We were supposed to have VIP access and they gave us the worst room!! Very disappointing. Asked for a change in the room and supposedly “all they have was 2 queens”. The person I spoke to was very rude and spoke to me like I was some kid!! Unacceptable. (I called from our room adm he answered “Yo”?!? Who says that to a hotel guest. Btw. I’m my husband and I are in our late fifties! We ended up staying in our room that barely fit one person on the balcony but will never go back!!

Very big clean room, even had a microwave

The pillows are flat and the AC filter needs to be changed. The only thing good about this place is that it’s only 2 floors high which makes it easy to come in and out and the amenities work. The room was very affordable. It kind of has a mildew smell in the room but I think the filter needs to be replaced.

Its just ok. The hotel is very outdated and wasnt very clean either. We originally had a room that the bathroom was not cleaned. It definitely had a lot of pubic hair. Then the room we got switched to a smaller and still wasn’t very clean, there was a substance on the mirror that looked like somebody have been popping pimples and still more hair in the shower, but we just got a cup and washed it away. The view from the bar/restaurant is very nice, A breakfast was awful and Jessica our waitress was in a mood and had a terrible attitude. But the breakfast was just very bland. The shrimp cocktail on the other hand that we had one night it was delicious. There are some rooms that look upgraded and have the vinyl floors versus the dirty carpet… But we saw a bunch of people who work in the hotel hanging out in them all day. They also leave the cleaning carts out in the hallway, blocking everything right next to the rooms for a majority of the day with dirty laundry on it and all sorts of trash. We would not stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in great condition, has a beautiful view of the marina and friendly staff.

Our room was large, well appointed, and had a nice balcony. Located on Shelter Island, it was an easy drive to downtown, and up North along the coast. There's good food, snack, and drinks also within a short drive. Dining and music are within walkable distance. Our room was clean and all appliance were good working order. When I booked, I was, at first disappointed at the extra cost, but that disappointment was quickly dispelled by convenience of the underground garage and its easy acessibility.

The staff is helpful and friendly. The views are amazing. The restaurant is very good and they have happy hour from 2:00-6:00 each day. I absolutely enjoy the server Miriam, who works at breakfast time. She is always so friendly, so polite, and we will go out of her way to make you feel welcomed and at home.

Always fabulous! That’s a great staff here, the views are wonderful, the restaurant is great, the bar is fun and the bartenders are wonderful. There’s the sweetest lady in the mornings that helps with breakfast and her name is Mariam and she is the best. I always love my stay here.

The staff is amazing. Everyone acted like they actually enjoyed their jobs…we always felt very welcome. The food was terrific…Happy Hour snacks (crab tater tots, sliders), dinner entrees (Colette steak, pasta, brown sugar glazed pork), hamburgers and best breakfast I’ve ever had — crab tater tot eggs Benedict. We only ate on meal off site.

The staff are fantastic! The marina view is my favorite and the sidewalk across is nice for morning and evening walks. Bali Hai restaurant is a shirt walk and super great food and view of the harbor.

The hotel has recently been remodeled so old reviews might not reflect that. It was really fresh and clean. I loved the view of the harbor. The staff was a little rude when we inquired about checking in a little early. I understand that might not always be possible but it seems like they have a super strict policy regarding it and it just didn’t give a welcoming feeling the way they approached it. Other than that we had positive interactions with the staff, including in the restaurant.

The entry to the hotel smelled very musty. Our room: The balcony was flooded we couldn’t even use it. The drain wasn’t working. Room was over the parking lot. Nice view but so noisy. The bathroom was dirty. Black hair on the floor. We don’t have black hair. No glasses in the room. Had to get our own. The elevators were so old and the buttons were broken. Just not a very clean overall look.

Comfortable beds

Our family of 5 comfortably stayed in the king suite. It was more than enough space with two balconies and we made use of the hot tub and fitness room. I recommend staying here!

The location is great with easy access to places like SeaWorld, downtown gas lamp, zoo. I loved the view from the balcony. My wife and I will definitely come back to stay here. Oh and a nearby Tesla supercharger only 1.2miles from the hotel.

The Bay Club Hotel and Marina was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at . From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the front desk manager Joshua . He provided excellent service . The service was so good , we booked another night . The hotel had the most beautiful Christmas decorations with soft Christmas music playing in the background . The food at the hotel was excellent . They offer free coffee in the lobby in the mornings . They also have a Happy Hour everyday from 2-6pm. Our room was very clean and over looked the marina . Chris in the Restaurant was very attentive to our needs . He even remembered our names. This is a hidden gem ! We will definitely we returning !

Check in was perfect. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They helped me with my things to my room. The room was very clean. I had a great view for the Festival of Lights. I went to the bar for happy hour bartender Cesar was amazing. Drinks are amazing food was delicious. The parade of lights was so fun.

This hotel is just such a charming place to stay with views of the marina and the bay. Nice little pool and hot tub area and outdoor dining. The dining is very nice as well, with wonderful views of the marina. Also great for walking along the water and also within walking distance to some charming little coffee shops and restaurants in Shelter Island.

My stay was nit the best. The people next to me in room 101 partied all night long. I called security at 1040pm they did come . the people didn’t stop playing music and inviting others from the outside to cone in. People were mistakenly knocking on my window looking for the party next door . They did stop until 4am. The hotel was packed and not able to change rooms, I know it’s not the hotel’s fault. I just wish other visitors can be more attentive to their surroundings.

I arrived very early hours before check in. Out of principle I would not pay extra to get in early but the hotel had a comfortable restaurant with views of boats on the bay for breakfast and more, beautiful front views of the ocean where you could watch the sunrise and set over the city, a lovely lounge to just hang in and have coffee, a bar counter and a nice pool and hot-tub with guest towels and lounge chairs, tables and chairs and a nice fire-pit (not lit when i was outside) which the hotel allowed me to all use while I waited for my room check in. Which they did have ready an hour early. Clean enough and spacious with great water pressure, a small fridge, microwave, not my kind of coffee machine, (but complimentary coffee in the morning), hairdryer, hangers, ironing board, didn't have car so don't know about parking. 100% I will come back again. Loved my stay. Wish it wasn't as expensive...$4 for a coffee with your meal is a bit much.

Checked in at 315 pm. Front desk stated we have a room available but it will be extra because you’re checking in early. Check in at 4 pm.. 45 minutes. Had a 4 month old baby with us who was a bit cranky so I agreed rather than wait in the lobby or car. Asked next day about removing charge and was told to reach out to General Manager. I called the General Manager when I got home but only got voicemail and left a message. Also sent them an email. They did remove the charge but I also asked about a per day parking fee. That was not removed. I’ve never had to pay to park on a hotels lot. I don’t recall seeing this fee on . Taxes and parking was the reason bill was so high. Ate dinner the first night there and was horrible. Food tasted really salty and service was extremely slow. At the time only 2 other customers in the restaurant.

We loved the location and hotel itself, however the first 2 nights we were in a dark, moldy room with no view. The smell was very strong. I asked to change rooms the last night after notifying staff and I was told I would have to pay an upgrade fee if I wanted a view. I do feel like they should have waved the fee considering the room we were in had black mold and was very unpleasant. The last night was fantastic, upstairs. I recommend upstairs room!!

Was disappointed to learn that if you checked in 1 and 1/2 hours early, there was a $50 charge - which they dropped to $25 if you checked in an hour early. Room was supposedly ready, just a Las Vegas-style money grab. Room was quite dated - microwave, refrigerator and coffee in the bathroom!! That night, we discovered the sheets and pillowcases were soiled, which they did replace.

Loved the location, pool and bar area. Our room was on the side and our balcony faced the parking lot which was disappointing. The bed and bedding were comfortable and there was a refrigerator and microwave however there were very few outlets for electronics. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend!

Wonderful room! Had a wonderful trip

The overall condition of our room was poor. In specific, the bathroom. The bathroom had black mold around the sprinkler system and had dirty yellow streaks on the walls. The fan in the bathroom didn't work which contributed to the humidity after shower that led to the whole room. The nightstand and alarm clock were dusty. The first night we ordered two towels that never showed up. The was a lack of vending machines to but at least a water at night. I think the cleaning crew does a great job of the work they do, I just believe the owners need to improve more in capital repairs, especially revamping the bathrooms. There is no need for a hotel to has chipped and cracked paint.

I have vacationed here a number of times and will be back many more! We had one issue and the Manager took care of it, Asap. You cannot find a nicer spot to stay in San Diego!

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views and great customer service. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Cute little restaurants with a view of the marina.

Amazing view from the marina balcony, friendly service, except the pool was closed for maintenance half of our two day stay, and they wanted to charge to check in early even though they had rooms ready. Over all it was a nice place to stay but just a little disappointing.

What we liked? Ability to walk to breakfast and easy access to freeways. What we didn’t like? Property needs basic upkeep, as in repairs and paint.

Accommodations were excellent!

I stayed for one night after my flight was cancelled. When I arrived a nice man named Sau greeted me with a warm smile. I told him about my horrible day and then he was so kind to get me into my room early. I also had delicious appetizers from their Happy Hour menu. The day I checked out, Sau remembered my name and greeted me personally. I had a horribly travel day after my hotel stay, Sau definitely made my day brighter!

Everyone was really friendly and the hotel has the most beautiful views of the city. Our room was very nice and clean. Room service was prompt. Their bar and grill serves the best shrimp scampi linguine ever! I ordered it three times! Definitely would like to come back.

Second time staying here. Great couples get away. We book this place for the great location. We love the marina view from our room! Close enough to activities in San Diego but far enough away from the hustle so you can enjoy peace and quiet. The hotel is a bit dated and the walls seem thin, but it’s clean and comfortable.

The property and room were very clean, excellent location! The food at the restaurant was not very good but great restaurant options very near the property. The view from room and property is amazing!

Room was good and overall the stay itself was nice but I left something behind in the room at checkout (my fault, I know) but I’ve never had issues with obtaining items from lost and found after checking out of a hotel, until this time. I would give 5 stars if they were honest and allowed you to retrieve your left behind items. Not the case with bay club hotel and marina. So just make sure you don’t leave anything behind by mistake because they will not do anything to help you get your things back which I think is unethical. If I’m being honest, I think housekeeping kept it but they act like it’s not even a possibility. However I know exactly what I left and where I left it and nobody will help me when I call, just get routed to housekeeping, it’s always voicemail and nobody ever returns the call. Bad business in my personal opinion. Prior to this happening I would have loved to stay here again but I most definitely will not now.

One suggestion i have is to increase the amount of outlets to charge electronics.

check in went smoothly. Our server at breakfast (Miriam?) was wonderful. She made the day start with a smile.

Wonderful overall

Rooms were clean and spacious Refrigerator was too cold due to freezing food. Short staff on weekends in dining area. Menu outdated from online menu. We enjoyed being close to concert venue. Our server in restaurant was excellent. Her name was Mariana. Overall stay was good.

I arrived @ 2:00pm tired after long drive and she asked to charge me early check in or wait till 4:00 pm By the way the check out is @ 11:00 am !! I put the sign out the door and the staff knocked the door to ask what time you check out

Very clean, the staff was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately there was construction happening on the roof so my view of the bay was not the best. My balcony was very small in the corner and I should have requested a full view balcony.
