Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests generally appreciate the location and staff, but express dissatisfaction with cleanliness, parking fees, and room conditions.
- Convenient location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Cleanliness issues
- Parking fees and inconvenience

Cons: room had a musty smell, dated motor lodge, people partying in parking lot.
- 3/5
When we checked in for three guests, only two bath towels and a bath mat were in the room. There were no hangers, and when we requested washcloths and an extra bath towel and hand towels, we were given one bath mat and a bath towel, and told no more would be available until the next day. The room was clean, and the housekeeping was polite and helpful. There is no wifi available, and parking is limited on site for $25 a night with, at most, 15- 20 narrow spots and one disabled spot available. There is a mini mart directly across the street, and a small Italian restaurant. Breakfast included mini burritos, pancakes, instant waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, apple and orange juice, and coffee.

Close to our venue They charged additional $25 for parking & it was tight fit -stayed there 3tines before was never charged but guy this time made us pay
- 4/5
the place was comfortable, nearby coffee was great, convience store walkable, and the amtrak station/ train nearby. bathroom was pretty tight and it's pretty hilly so prepare for an incline.

King bed room 124 felt like an afterthought. Room was tucked in the corner down a dark hallway. Bathroom looks like a repurposed broom closet. Room smelled a bit like pee and had lots of gnats/flies. For only $20 cheaper than surrounding hotels it was not worth it.

Bathroom didn’t seem to be cleaned. Hair everywhere. Toilet seat only had one bolt. Shower head is only five feet high at most.
- 3/5
The hotel was semi close to everything.
- 3/5
Small upper lot older under ground parking
- 2/5
Good parking facilities.
- 3/5
Clean room. Felt Fresh. Beds were very disappointing and needed to be replaced. Getting into or out of beds produced sounds like a wood pile cracking apart. Really unacceptable. Breakfast was okay if you stick to cereal, yogurt and coffee. Pancakes, bread, etc. were hard as rock. Parking was very convenient and lower priced than other nearby locations. Easy walking distance to Little Italy. If the beds had been decent this facility would be a very good value for the money.

Walked in after a long drive into a room smelled with urine. Then we asked to have it changed so that was a nice thing you guys did was to give us another room. There was shampoo, body wash but conditioner bottle was empty. A half-size bathtub. No coffee or tea bags in the room. The elevator smelled with urine so we have to cover our noses whenever in there. Also, only a few parking spaces in front but there’s a garage where we had to walk to but then had to pay you $25/day which we didn’t know about. The last thing was on the day we were leaving. I went to the office to return the key cards and the lady worked there just pointed to the place where I supposed to drop them and said in a cold tone voice to drop them there, and not a greeting or even a thank you for staying. We’ve been quite of a few places in San Diego, but none were like your place, the worse. Hope to say all this for you to improve in doing things at your place to make your place better for future travelers. We just won’t come back again to your place.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly.
- 2/5
I asked if the Military discount was applied. The employee couldn't answer that. Room 209 had very visible ceiling tape, the bathroom sink had a huge crack in it, there were two shower gels and one shampoo last but not least, several towels had holes in them. I did mention these things to the front desk lady and a cleaning lady.
- 2/5
Parking garage is around the corner. Parking lot was small. Staff was nice . Room had only cold water, ripped shower curtain, shower felt like it was going to cave in. Not tall enough for 6 ft man. Should of been better for wyndham.
- 3/5
Very clean outside. Disappointed With rooms. Beds not comfortable. Every movement it was squeaking loud. Very small bathroom some black mold in the bathroom.. shower water was backing up. Water up to my ankles.
- 3/5
Good location for downtown. You can walk it. Only thing I didnt like is they charge you for the parking 25 dollers a night. A hotel with parking lot charges 25 a night. I know SD always charge for parking, but a hotel with alot of parkimg should be free!!!!other then that, ill stay again but when I see the price 25 dollars less.
- 2/5
Room was outdated, cracks in ceiling, paint peeling on walls and only half the room electricity worked.
- 5/5

- 4/5
The bed in room 103 definitely needs replacing.

Muy bien! Bien ubicada, limpia y el personal amable. Con seguridad regresaría
- 4/5
We only stayed one night, but this was enough.
- 2/5
The breakfast was terrible
- 1/5
Nothing good to say, shower bottom was stained, bathroom was ridiculous, the door rubbed against the counter. Paint was terrible, breakfast was so minimal
- 3/5
Old but clean. Sketchy area . A lot of homeless. Grouchy and unhelpful staff
- 4/5
Clean room and comfortable.
- 4/5
parking was easy I would say ti yes pay for parking if you are staying more than a day
- 4/5
We parked right in front of our 1st floor room, however, there was more underground parking that was secure. The cleanliness was good, (although the small tub looked a bit stained - didn't use it). Every single staff member greeted us and said good morning or evening with big smiles. The breakfast room was plentiful with breakfast burritos, cinnimon french toast, yogurt, bagles, waffles, cereals, fresh fruit, etc... The location is directly across from the Old El Cortez Condominium Building which is gorgeous, and great proximity from the Gaslamp Quarter and Seaport Village, Harbor Cruises, Battleship Museum! The price is great compared to the others in the area. We'll go there again.
- 5/5
friendly staff, clean room. will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Price was reasonable Clean room Breakfast was good Staff were nice. Would for sure stay again when in Sandiago
- 5/5
Very nice option to stay in San Diego
- 3/5
Very noise. Poor breakfast. Coffee took forever to be ready.
- 5/5
The room was clean & the property was quiet given its location in downtown San Diego. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this property highly!
- 1/5
No property issues outside, staff was helpful when we did interact, main issue was inside room bathtub/bathroom were yucky we did not even use the shower the curtain had dirty finger prints on it and the floor of the shower had grey film. There were candy wrappers on the floor as soon as we got there. There was no do not disturb sign in our room. Room needs to be updated the carpet is all bleached by the front door and ripping by bathroom door. Back window was open upon arrival which really concerned me as there is no screen on the window and had I not seen it that is a major safety concern considering we were on the ground floor. We lost power twice which is not really their fault but I've never had that happen at a hotel before. Air conditioner worked but made loud rattling sounds non stop. Location is great for zoo, but the nightly rate did not reflect what we got for it. At the bare minimum parking shouldn't be extra when the rooms are subpar.
- 5/5
Small room but clean and functional for party of 4 adults. No problems with utilities. Clean and comfortable bedding and pillows. Toiletries available upon request. AC worked great. Staff was kind and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected
- 2/5
Going onto continental breakfast, there wasn’t there much to entertain. The coffee was thin though hot. Some pancakes and bread to be toasted and some cereals. Typical staple items I am accustomed to like a waffle maker, yogurt, bacon or sausages and banana weren’t offered. And if you are like me adhering to a gluten free diet, there was nothing for you at this motel. And for this I was charged $250 a night. Not a good deal. Giving it 2 stars for comfortable bed - the only redeeming feature.
- 4/5
It was a nice and convenient place to stay. They changed me to anther room since mine on the first night was in front of the breakfast area and it was very noisy. The second night to the end of the stay was amazing. I would stay here again.

- 4/5
Room was ok, but 25 dollars parking per night is not, doesn't matter how many nights you're paying you still have to pay for parking in the hotel own parking
- 4/5
I don't have a car so parking wasn't a problem
- 4/5
Room clean, breakfast alright, but parking lot was interesting
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking in the underground garage was sketchy at night. The room was fine. Breakfast was not great. Hard mini bagels, toast and cereal. Overall it was a good place to stay for a night.
- 3/5
There was little toilet paper left in the bathroom. I requested a roll, but they said they are out of toilet paper. How can this happen?
- 1/5
I will never stay there again, parking was horrible, they sell the handicap parking to first come no handicap plaque needed, air conditioner didn't work well, along with the fridge,
- 1/5
It was horrible! All dirty, we checked in, saw the room, the matress and the bathroom and decided to leave!
- 3/5
The phone no dial tone, Shampoo box is empty, no coffee cup in the room, you have to pay $25 a night for parking and a $100 deposit for your stay. Continental breakfast not good either
- 3/5
Somewhat clean. They checked me out before i could say something.
- 3/5
Breakfast OK, Staff OK. AC Great
- 5/5
Room was spacious, clean and AC worker well. Fast food close by if needed.
- 5/5
The hotel has a great location, you a find many shops nearby just walking distance. The staff is friendly and the room was clean.
- 3/5
Did pre-check in and still basically had to check in at front desk and felt like we were an afterthought as no one was at desk. Then a gentleman came out and left and then came back. Breakfast room said it opened at 6:30, which it did not so did not get the breakfast. Sad you have to pay for parking as well.
- 3/5
The room was okay. It had a little bit of a musty smell. With my room being on the first floor and the bed being so close to the window and door, it was a little uncomfortable. There was a spider in my bed and the shower was crazy small that anyone over 5'5ft tall would have to crouch to get the shower head over them. There is no water available in the room and I didn't trust the tap water as it also had a little bit of a smell to it. The vending machine in the lot was out of water and gatorade, so I had to go to the mini mart across the street to purchase water.
- 2/5
An out-dated and terribly worn roadside motel. The bed had a noticeable divot...like the middle of the bed was 6 inches lower than the sides of the bed. No gym. The shower head was at 5'. Discarded trash on the carpet. Left early.
- 4/5
Great location if you want to be equal walking distance from the Gaslamp district, Balboa Park, Little Italy and other attractions. The place is clean and mostly updated. The staff is friendly, too. The parking is a bit of an issue because there are limited spots and the spaces are small. They charged $25 per night, which should be included in the price because parking in the area is not easy. (Maybe they have it as an extra charge since you may not get lucky and get a spot.) The breakfast is processed and not fresh but at least you can get something in your tummy before you take off for the day!
- 5/5
This place was spot on! First, location was perfect in the downtown area. Second, the staff including breakfast was wonderful. I will keep this place in my saved hotels for next time in the city.
- 3/5
The hotel needs a major upgrade to their rooms .
- 5/5
Room was spacious and comfortable. Continental breakfast was 30 minutes later than listed, so we missed out.
- 3/5
Property was cleaned very loud you can hear everything staff did not tell me if there was breakfast because I didn’t see any but coffee
- 4/5

- 3/5
There was no cold water at the sink

- 5/5
Nice hotel, room was clean and friendly staff.
- 2/5
The staff was not helpful at all when I asked them what I was being charged for, he would not give me a straight answer. I had to talk to customer service online in order to understand the price breakdown. Plus, parking at this property was $50 for two days and that was not made clear before booking. It was very clean, so that was a bonus.

- 4/5
Excellent location, responsive front desk staff and housekeeping. Amenities are average, but nearby coffee shops, tacquerias and breakfast spots are all amazing.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
No airport shuttle. Very noisy as the doors are on the parking lot. No towels had to go ask. No coffee or condiments but there was a coffee maker. Shower looked worn and the carpet stunk.
- 4/5
Air conditioning to much noise….
- 3/5
Service is not too good.
- 2/5
AC did not stay cool. Let it rest and tried it again still didn’t work. Bed was not the most comfortable. The middle sank in way too deep and almost felt like it was going to fall off the block of work it was being held up by. Would rather spend $20 more per night elsewhere. Customer service was great and kept it from a disaster.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, amenities and Staff was very helpful
- 4/5
Bed was comfy, area was quiet. I had a comfortable stay.
- 1/5
Aweful place to stay. Rooms are dirty. The pictures posted were patch up of different rooms to look nice on pics
- 2/5
No elevator to 3rd floor. Toilet bowl and bath tub were old and worn.
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Had to pay for parking. Asked if wanted top floor. Yes. Put us right next to laundry room. Person checked in After us and got a room on top floor. Continnental breakfast was not good.. Very minimal. washood.
- 5/5
Nice!!!!
- 3/5
First, when I reserved a room, the price was $84/night. When I checked out, I was charged $113-$133/night. There was a coffee pod machine in the room but pods weren't provided. (Though after leaving a tip each day for housekeeping, on my last evening someone found 2 coffee pods for me!) The room was clean, basic (no art on the walls), noisy whenever a toilet was flushed in another room. Breakfast was also basic, carb-heavy. I chose this hotel for the location but I would check others before I stayed here again.
- 4/5
Staff great. Rooms clean. Beds comfy. Breakfast needs egg burritos not beans. Allergies. Too many carbs bad for diabetes.
- 5/5
There’s not much to the hotel besides the parking lots and individual rooms, but that’s all we were expecting. We didn’t get to try the breakfast, but I’m sure it was probably alright. If you’re trying to save money but still stay in downtown San Diego, this is the spot. If you want a fancy hotel with a bar and a restaurant, this is not it.
- 1/5
The room had ZERO Hot water. Tried to move rooms and they could not give me another room. Ended up leaving Hotel and need FULL refund.
- 3/5
Couch was dirty and overly worn. Poor ventilation.
- 5/5
It was an easy and nice room to stay in.
- 1/5
The room felt neglected. There were stains on the carpet. The room smelt like mold or mildew. The walls were peeling. Once I lied down on the mattress I started getting itchy and got rashes. I left after a few hours and went to another hotel.
- 1/5
Horrible breakfast, parking in main lobby is a first come first serve. If so, you have to park in the gated parking that has no exit until they see you through the cameras inside the main lobby office. You can be waiting on staff for five minutes just standing to be seen so they can open the gate for you to enter ir exit. They have a red button that you are to press and notify lobby you need to enter or exit but they seem not to oay attention to you and have you waiting it's horrible. The bathroom gets clogged. When reserving online with Expedia a room king size bed when arrived and enter the room they gave us a two queen bed room. We asked staff they have gave us wrong room they told us they didn't have a king size available..but never mentioned too us at the time of arrival and check-in. When going to breakfast from 7a.m, to 9a.m, we return to the room and the room key/ card didn't work anymore it was no longer activated but check out is until 11a.m., too many issues.

Newly renovated.

Lovely large size room. Very clean and easy to get to. Breakfast didn’t have many choices but great free food for the kids
- 5/5
The room was worth the pay. Location is perfect for those that don’t have a car. Staff was great and very friendly. I have absolutely no complaints.
- 4/5
Yes and yes
- 1/5
Staff was very friendly but the room was horrible with mold in the bathroom. Staff said the hotel was going to be torn down and by the condition of the room they should.
- 5/5
The menu was decent. Air conditioning was fine.
- 4/5
Room was not perfectly clean, there was some garbage from previous occupants found in room. The breakfast was not great, carbs crabs carbs. Ran out of boiled eggs, the 'yogurt' was not actually yogurt but some artificial product, ran out of syrup for waffles. The breakfast attendant was inattentive and I had to ask for more eggs syrup etc.
- 5/5
Yes the room was spotless and the staff were very nice.
- 3/5

I had to change room bath tub dirty/damaged faucet/dirty floor).second room slippery unsafe bathtub floor, Tel not working.Bkfast very cold needs better temperature eggs, oatmeal.
- 5/5
Spacious, quiet, great location.
- 2/5
There were a few long black hairs across the bathroom floor. Bed was pretty uncomfortable. Tub and shower were clean. We were placed in a corner room across from the breakfast room which was kind of noisy early in the morning. I think the room was just awkward, strange layout and desperately needs some upgrades or renovations. Didnt expect luxury by any means but this room really needed some TLC.
- 4/5
Value for money, close to important places
- 1/5
The front desk clerk called another hotel to see if they had availability; they did, but at a much higher rate. I still agreed because of the time and because I was traveling with two small children. When I arrived at the second hotel, the receptionist informed me that they couldn’t honor the rate that was supposedly arranged with the original hotel. I ended up having to search on my own and make a new reservation at a different hotel, all of this after 10 pm with my two tired young children. An unacceptable and extremely frustrating experience.
- 5/5
I love it
- 1/5
The bathroom and tv wall did not have any electricity. When asked to be provided with a room that had all working utilities, I was informed that there were no other rooms like the one I had requested and would be provided a one bed room. I had previously requested two queen size beds and just one bed was not going to work. I was provided with a room that smelled like smoke and had to go back to the front office to inform them of the awful smell. The front office staff came to the room to spray some air, air freshener and apologized for the smell. The parking lot is way too small not enough room for parking spaces are small. You have to park in the underground parking lot provided by the hotel however, most of the parking spaces are reserved for something else besides the hotel. As for the breakfast, it’s very limited. I asked for yogurt and they had ran out twice out of the four days I stayed.
- 3/5
Room had a smell when we first walked in. Parking was horrible & they charged for it too!!!! Shower head was too low, up to my neck I had to bend down to shower. Breakfast ended too early.
- 4/5
Great room and convenient but you must walk a very steep hill to get downtown.

Super comfortable bed and most importantly, a very quiet downtown area. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was ok too.
- 3/5
The room was a little dirty mainly in the bathroom. Very unsafe slippers floor. Air conditioning was very cold. Breakfast was the basic waffles pancakes. Service was good tho very nice.
- 3/5
Breakfast was not much and the cold stuff was not held in anything to keep it cold which I found concerning.
- 5/5
Great place for stay
- 2/5
Air conditioning didn’t work great. Breakfast was a bunch of frozen food items that were thawed and put out. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Way overpriced for how crappy it was.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
This should not be posted as a hotel in my opinion. This is more kind of a motel. We were few people staying at this hotel for a week. The rooms have a some sort of smell which doest’t go away. There are flies flying around in the rooms, showers are only about 5 feet high. You have to bend your knees to take a shower. They provide free breakfast which is again not up to the standards. Water down orange juice, I can’t explain how waffles and pancakes look like. I don’t not dare to taste them. I will not book again with this chain anywhere in the country. Not for me.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 2/5
Do not stay here. Room was gross. Hair all over the bathroom and shower, stains and makeup on the towels, toilet was a commercial one similar to a gas station toilet, tiles in shower were broken and grout so gross. The couch in the room had many many stains, cushions didn’t even fit it, there was what looked like a big burn mark on the back cushion. TV turned on but did nothing else, there wasn’t enough signal to get any channels at all. The bathroom light flickered so bad I had to turn it off every few minutes because it made me dizzy. The sheets had stains on them. The door to the room had massive gaps on all sides and clearly had been broken into before. The doors, walls, ceiling all dirty were peeling and broken in many areas. The room had a funky smell. At least air conditioner worked. The breakfast could make you very sick, nothing in refrigeration, hard boiled eggs were green, frozen waffles and pancakes placed on a platter, one milk and orange juice not in a cooler, yogurt on the counter, coffee was really bad and it was instant coffee (container was there). Parking fee is ridiculous, most cars didn’t even have a slip.
- 4/5
Toilet seat completely lose, I tightened it with a dime as a screw driver. Other then that not to bad.
- 4/5
Nice area
- 1/5
First, there was pubic hair all over the bathroom and there was hair stuck to the tiny skinny bathroom so while we sat a the toilet we were staring at other people’s hair. Secondly, there was hair in the shower and on the tub…the floors do not appear to get swept often. Then a week after our stay, I just got a 119 dollar charge that hit my account…will be calling shortly but why?! So insane also our AC in our room was broken, you couldn’t shift the vent so the small amount of air it did produce would go right into the curtain and not disperse around the room. Spend a little more and stay elsewhere.
- 3/5
The location was OK, the place is very outdated and super basic, the matress was noisy, every time we turn around we made a lot of noise. The room was generally speaking OK, night use a good deep clean. What disturb me the most was seen huge rats in the back of the building (pretty normal in the city) running around the cleaning supplies and a cart full of dirty sheets... Pretty disgusting.
- 5/5
Great establishment and surrounding neighborhood.
- 3/5
Out dated, did not look like the pictures. The free breakfast was okay.
- 2/5
Very old fashioned needs to change the bed falling apart. Change the carpet. Needs new color.
- 4/5
The room wasn’t very clean when I checked in, however the room itself was very quiet

Accommodation
- 3/5
Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Breakfast assortment was not great.
- 3/5
Nice area and walkable to some areas, dicent price but hotel needs on upgrade, breakfast no so good.
- 2/5
Had handicap accessible room. Shower water flowed onto floor of bathroom. Asked for more bath mats and towels to dry floor so as to not slip. Towels were given to us. Very poor design. When walking into room, smelled very musty. Bed was clean and comfy. For being a Wyndham, I expected better hotel.

The front desk that I requested early check In. He did offer to refund the $25 . I also gave them the wrong card at Check in and had planned to fix that at check out. I was told I was already charged at check in which is fine, but in my experience I have been able to pay at check out and the front desk person made me feel that I didn’t know what I was talking about as to when go as far as to ask me if I’m from San Diego. This no frills motel was
- 1/5
The receptionist was very unprofessional, we got stuck in the elevator and we Will be disputing the charge as we will not be staying here
- 2/5
Ants all over the bathroom, staff said they didn’t have another room for us and they would see about sending someone over to fix it. they did nothing about it until the next day. parking was 21$ a day! (it was free for us because of the ants), but still ridiculous. very limited parking in front of the motel, so we had to use the underground lot. whenever someone flushed the toilet in another room, it sounded like a fire hydrant burst open. There was lots of mold under the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The carpet in the room was pretty dirty, with some trash from the last guests under the bed and desk. breakfast was also quite limited. The bed was pretty comfy though, i’ll give them that. Overall pretty poor, but atleast it’s somewhat cheap.
- 2/5
Overall cleanness has opportunities for improvement, conditions of the corridors and restroom in not a mid-high level condition. Also having ants in the room, 3rd floor, plus watching a mouse running underneath the cars in the main parking lot didn’t help the good impression.
- 5/5
Internet access was poor, i couldnt connect except on my mobile. Breakfast was ok but the choices were limited.
- 4/5
It’s a decent place to stay, offering on-site parking for \$19 per night and complimentary breakfast with the room. The staff were friendly, and the room I was given was spacious and comfortable.
- 4/5
A great quick place to sleep and park. Parking price is very reasonable. The staff and facilities are great. Place is clean enough. I just wished the housekeeper came a little later. She was knocking at the door at 9am. Overall great stay.

Decent hotel for the price . It was clean and comfortable . The only thing I didn’t like was the way parking was handled. They should of assigned a spot once you pay. I had to use uber because if I moved my car there wouldn’t be a place for me to park when I got back .

Enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
Very spacious. Unfortunately, a lot of water collected on the bathroom floor because the drains did not work very well.
- 1/5
Very disappointed the staff very rude I didn’t like the way they handled the situation
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 3/5
I did not like the breakfast. Most of it is full of calories, empty calories, with no protein. How about adding eggs?
- 5/5
Friendly staff, super clean room and the property is well maintained. The rooms are outdated, aged, however very clean and orderly.
- 2/5
I’m never going back here
- 2/5
A noisy motel-style setup with some of the lumpiest pillows I've had in years.
- 5/5
Easy. Clean.
- 1/5
My room had a thin door separating my room from someone else’s. I could hear them all night long. They were smoking in their room and it made my room smell terrible. On top of that the floor in the shower had water stuck under it so it was like standing on a water bed and was very dangerous. I would not recommend this property.
- 5/5
Very honest employees
- 2/5
This has a Wyndham name but is a 1960 Motel 6 with limited improvements. It was a shock when I arrived (my company booked). The location is okay but the two blocks around it are shuttered and urine filled.
- 4/5
It's an old hotel, but clean. The shower/tub is the smallest I've ever seen but it worked. The air conditioner was great. The tv didn't get any of the main stations. I complained and they said they would send the maintenance man, but they did not. The free breakfast wasn't the best, but it was okay. The parking is very tight but they at least had it for a price.
- 4/5
Old hotel, needs updated. Shower isn't even a full size bathtub it's a half of a bathtub, literally. Limited parking spaces.
- 3/5
Not friendly
- 1/5
Someone other than our party was given a room key that accessed our room and walked right into our room at 6am!!
- 3/5
Cons: No pool. No coffee pot in room. And for the price, surely a coffee pot could be an option
- 4/5
This is a good place if you're looking for a conveniently located hotel and on a budget. Bathroom and room were clean, water pressure was decent. The walls are thin but did not cause any issues for sleeping. The breakfast is minimal -- bagels, croissants, cereal, orange juice, coffee and tea.
- 3/5
The room was clean but a bit dated Bed was comfortable. Check in went smooth. Continental breakfast was uninspiring.
- 1/5
The people above me were doing very illegal things all night long which I am going to file a lawsuit. I didn’t sleep at all and should get a complete refund

Parking
- 2/5
It seemed like the staff did not care and the customer service was not kind. We asked for extra towels and it was giving to us with an attitude. Also, when I booked this room it had a picture that it had a love sit sofa and when we arrived it was missing. We were told incorrect pictures of the room were used and only the “suites” had it. Shower tub was dirty.
- 4/5
Everything was great except the bathroom floor. Very dirty and hair everywhere on the floor.
- 5/5
All good
- 2/5
The condition of bathroom needed work. Electrical outlet did not work. Floor of tub not good. Beds were very uncomfortable. No padding whatsoever on them. Like laying on a box spring. View out of the window was of homeless encampment. Nasty! A no frills hotel especially for the money you pay. Plus having to pay for parking. Should have been included with rental of room.
- 4/5
I love it ,great area in downtown it was perfect
- 5/5
Great place, located within downtown
- 2/5
Parking is $19… not the worst walk to the game
- 5/5
The carpet should be cleaned thoo
- 5/5
There is mold and hair in the shower
- 3/5
For a Wyndham property we were disappointed but the room was clean and service was friendly.
- 4/5
Advertised as a hotel- definitely a motel. Very clean. Friendly at the desk. Breakfast was non- existent at 9:00 am.
- 4/5
I was unsure about this place and became even more concerned when I saw how outdated and in poor condition the room was. The floor was incredibly creaky which made me worried about bothering other people or being bothered by others. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it ended up being at night and how comfortable the bed was. The staff were also very nice. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Great location for access to downtown and surrounding areas. shower head is so low that it is ineffective for anyone above 5ft tall.
- 5/5
A cute convenient motel with onsite parking! Under a mile -Walking distance to the convention center and stadium. A lean breakfast, older rooms but clean with friendly, efficient and helpful staff members. Will certainly stay again.
- 5/5
Affordable stay. Staff was great. No complaints at all!
- 4/5
No hot water 1st am of stay
- 5/5
This place isn't gonna blow your socks off but it's a perfectly acceptable room for the price and location. If you're not someone who really values perfection and just need a nice bed with a friendly and accommodating staff, this is great.
- 5/5
The staff was really helpful.
- 2/5
The property was very old, wall sockets were so loose that plugs just fell out, NO HOT WATER even in the shower or sink even after letting it run for 10 minutes and it was extremely noisy as you could hear everything 3 rooms away.
- 5/5
great clean
- 4/5
The room was clean especially for the price. They had a modest breakfast.
- 3/5
Basically you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
It is close to downtown you can walk
- 3/5
Pictures were a little misleading, basically a hotel six
- 1/5
I booked this room for my son, and when he got there they required a credit card from him for a deposit. He has no credit card, so they refused to let him have the room that I had paid for in advance. He had Nowhere else to stay.
- 5/5
Everything was decent and great!
- 2/5
The fact that I had to pay extra to park on property is not logical or fair I am paying extra money to park my car after I pay you money for staying in the room. Not fair or right
- 5/5
The value is great, and I felt safe with the security on site as I don’t normally stay at hotels with exterior halls and room access. Staff friendly and kind, and handled my post midnight arrival with grace. My room and the amenities were clean, good variety at breakfast. My only suggestion would be a newer mattress as it was not the most comfortable but I was able to sleep.
- 4/5
Nice hotel with breakfast but hot water was only warm.
- 5/5
Did feel outside noise was a little difficult through the night. The toilet is VERY loud when flushed. Will say in line with airplane air space but was tolerable. We were there on the weekend so at night tough parking in area. But there were extra parking in a garage right around the corner...very convenient. All in all would stay there again.
- 4/5
Cons: the mattress seems old as the cushion is pretty soft and in need to replace new one . However, we slept thru the night and was comfortable in our bed. Maybe , we were too tired after whole day activities. The decor in room is outdated, very plan and simple . In need a facelift . No swimming pool or hot tub on the property .
- 1/5
it is what it is for a hundred dollars and change, but never staying here again
- 2/5
The room had a weird odor.
- 4/5
Overall it was nice but the room had a small and heater didn’t work,
- 5/5
Great & safe!
- 3/5
The room was great! Large room, great for playing. Acquired room through Expedia, and was charged again thru Baymont 50$ more. That part sucked!
- 3/5
Maybe use the money you get from parking fee to start fixing the rooms a little and replace them pillows? Free breakfast is a plus. My kid loved the frozen burritos. Not the healthiest but I am not complaining. Can’t beat free.
- 3/5
Decent stay
- 5/5
Good for the price.
- 2/5
Dive with loud banging and car honking all night. Cold room. Only vending machine water. Felt unsafe. Would not repeat.
- 2/5
No front desk agent until 8am. So if they forgot to put towels in your room, guess what? You will wait until 8! You can hear trash trucks, the upstairs neighbors walking around in their room. You can hear the next door neighbor every time they turned on their faucet or shower. Holes in the curtains.
- 3/5
When I got the key to my room it was a room that wasn’t cleaned, so I went to the front to get a new room, but then in that room there was a used dirty towel. The area is okay. $19 / night for parking
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
The location was great and overall a great stay. The only downside was the parking. It is limited.
- 4/5
I selected the property for it's location. I was cruising the next day and the location was close to my selected parking and the harbor. It turns out it was also close to a wonderful Italian restaurant located on the ground floor of the El Cortez directly across the street. The only real problem I had with the hotel/room was that the shower floor was covered in a black residue. It hadn't been cleaned properly. That made everything suspect for me. The beds were nice and the sheets seemed clean and fresh so this may have been the only problem.
- 4/5
Nice location
- 1/5
The property was not as the pics showed. It is out dated and in disrepair. We had a towel rack fall on our head, and my husband tripped in the middle of the night due to a hole in the bathroom/room threshold. The front desk didn’t seem to care when reported. Said to call the manager Oussama.
- 3/5
I'm really mixed on this one. On the plus side, staff was pleasant, and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic, but on our first of two days, many items were missing including milk and juice. Granted it was Christmas Day, but stocks should have been obtained in advance. On the second day, things were better stocked. Maintenance-wise, the room needed attention. There was a sizeable crack in the window, and there was a drip in the shower that made the bathroom floor wet unless the curtain was drawn. The base of the sink faucet also leaked onto the counter. I'd stay again if there were no other choice, but I'd likely look elsewhere my next time in town.
- 5/5
Quick check in and close to Symphony
- 5/5
People so kind and respectful, nice accommodations
- 4/5
Limited parking
- 5/5
Quite expensive for what it is but that is San Diego for you. One of the ladies on reception was very helpful in arranging for us to leave our luggage while we went to Tijuana.
- 4/5
Thicker blanket would have been nice. Also additional chairs would be ideal. But overall a nice place. Would stay here again in the future.
- 5/5
Safe, parking was good. And downtown, so it was easy to go to places in the area.
- 5/5
Localize downtown. Parking is excellent and safe. No issues.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Average property. If you’re using it just to sleep then you’re good.
