The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I arrived in the middle of the night, and they were able to assist me and confirm that I will have my room available.

Everything was amazing during our stay the only thing that kept me from giving a five star was the carpet in our room, the carpet was stained and dirty besides that everything was great !

The breakfast was plentiful, coffee is very weak. Rooms were clean but our room had a lamp plug that started to smoke and charred a phone charger and portable oxygen cord. I woke up to the smell of electrical burning. When I unplugged, the outlet sparked. Good thing I woke up. I told the front desk--hope they REALLY checked it out. Room 131.

I stayed at this best western for 3 days and overall it was pretty good. What did ruined it for me the staff chasing me over a hundred doors more for the start than what I agreed to on Expedia. On top of that they issue you a parking permit that’s essentially a flimsy piece of paper that’s supposed to hang from your rear view mirror. Around the first day it ripped and I couldn’t hang it so I displayed it on top of the dashboard in clear view. After I checked out, I came to my vehicle and found I was given a parking ticket for not displaying my parking permit. If they require you to provide your vehicle info during check-in I don’t understand why they’re unable to use that information and instead cite their guests for over a piece of paper that they could’ve lost, torn, or simply forgotten to display. I will not be using this best western or any best western for that matter and will opt for properties that utilize just a little more common sense or consideration for guests that already are spending a lot of money at their properties.

For this area right across the border from TJ this hotel is decent. The breakfast is about what you expect of this quality of a hotel. The hotel was reasonably clean, everything worked and the place is decent. When you get this close to the border many of the places slide to the Mexico standard. This place is decent.

Overall, it was worth it and we will be staying there again next time we visit Mexico.

I waited an hour in line to get the room, for the key card not to work, then waited in like for another 45 minutes getting it rekeyed.

The staff was amazing! We had an incident during our stay and when I called the front desk to make the aware they were so reassuring and positive! She kept me calm. They were very considerate when it came to addressing safety concerns. Also they went over and beyond to ensure my special needs child had everything he needed! Over all I would stay here again. The rooms were very clean and the property overall was very clean and well kept!

Great breakfast with hot buffet and large variety of other items. The rooms were spacious. The only downfall is that part of town smelled like sewage. You couldn’t smell it in the rooms however.

The check in process was smooth and staff was very helpful. This is a “you get what you pay for” no frills hotel. We wanted to stay somewhere for cheap right outside San Diego and we found it. The room came with the basic amenities plus a decent breakfast so we were happy. Just don’t expect more than that.

This was a last minute booking for one night. The front desk staff was excellent. Very friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has plenty of parking (you will likely be able to park right in front of your room), the location is quiet and really close to the border (if you're using CBX), the room was very clean and had all the AC and tv channels you would expect.

Room was nice as far as the eye can see. There were crumbs where the trashcans were meaning the cans weren’t moved or the room wasn’t even vacuumed. My daughter’s feet and pants were dirty from crawling in the room.

Rooms were clean. Looks like it’s predominantly used as a truck and buss layover. Breakfast area is very crowded and small. Breakfast was good though.

Just this time we have a different room than we had booked and this was very shocking. We had stayed here many times before and the ones of the west side are renewed and better.

Everything is satisfactory; the room is clean and the air conditioning is comfortable. However, the food was disappointing, particularly the bacon, which was awful and soggy. The service was acceptable as well.

It's basically all in the name of the property: a middle of the road Best Western. We arrived at 10pm and there was a pretty long line as everyone was checking in for a volunteer trip to Mexico with a group of High School students, so an expected event. There was one overwhelmed, relatively unfriendly young woman at the check in desk who vaguely pointed to where we needed to go once we had our keys. Other than that the rooms were serviceable and okay.

This is my go to place when traveling across the border and back.

Convenient for a last minute trip. However, there was a pair of dirty boxers in the hotel room next to the ac. I did let the hotel staff know but said she could not offer us a discount due to it being pre-booked online. Honestly I don’t know how a dirty pair of underwear were missed it was gross.

First time staying at this hotel and I would absolutely stay here again! The staff here are so kind!! The room was very clean and comfortable. The area felt very safe, was quiet, and there was ample parking all around the hotel.

The toilet needed to be replaced, seemed like it didn't want to flush. Had to hold the handle down until the flush was complete.

Booked three rooms. Flor greeted us on arrival with excellent customer service, a bright friendly smile, was welcoming, and accommodated us in insuring all our rooms were together. We’ve stayed at this same place three times before and will definitely continue to return here when visiting this area. All rooms were clean and as pictured. Only one room (258) had deep dark stains upon entering. Other than that, all was well.

Thankfully it was a slow day, because it was nice and quiet. Overall it was good, but the room needs some TLC. Horribly stained carpets, ripped furniture, and hair on a towel. Thankfully it was just for a night's rest, on my road trip to see a friend.

First, they put me in a room where sofa was missing. They said all sofas were being shampoo. Although, they had plenty of empty rooms that had one. They did manage to move me to another room. But was a hassle with luggage being brought up and down the stairs. The worst thing was the horrific smell of sewage that leaked throughout the entire property. Even with our windows closed the smell penetrated the room through the ac vents. The smell was horrendous , we all developed a headache from the strong smell. Needless to say we checked out early. Last, the breakfast was gross. Tasteless, water-down, and dirty.

My wife and I recently went to the US for a little shopping at Las Americas Premium Outlets for a day and a half then return to Ajijic, MX. Our stay that night was at the Best Western Americana Inn.

We had a wonderful stay. Property is quiet but well lit. Clean and the staff were very helpful. Everyone greets you, says good morning etc. Breakfast was nice. Close to gas, food, shopping and the border. Great place to stay. We will definitely be back.

Another major issue was the WiFi. it was horrible. The WiFi would cutout. I was told by the staff that they were aware of the issue and we’d trying to fix the problem but it was never resolved while we stay there for the tree days. However, the staff were very polite and helpful. Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay, but not worth the price. I would have expected more quality for that price.

It is a clean hotel.

I stay there at least twice a year with a group of missionionaries on our way into Mexico. Always have had good service. Only complaint I have is that the containers in the shower area rarely work and are not always full.

The Best Western was a bit inconvenient due to road construction, but the facility was neat and clean. The staff were personable, friendly and efficient. The room was clean - with linens changed daily. Breakfast was very good - with a selection and quality of food not usually seen in motels. We stayed for four nights - and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. One thing, though - the $50 coupon supposedly awarded for two-night stays is not available to folks who make reservations through Expedia. You have to make reservations directly with Best Western to qualify for the $50 coupons.

Upon arrival I was greeted friendly with warm smiles. The attendant was extremely friendly and kind, even offered me additional coffee for my room and allowed me to choose upstairs or downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was and how clean it was. It allowed me all the amenities I needed and was within waking distance of several places to eat. Bravo! Great job!

Room was basic and fine. Left an expensive electric toothbrush and was told to reach the manager to have it sent to me. Every time I called “the manager” was busy or not there. I continued to call and was told I couldn’t be heard and was sent to a non operational phone. Then when I called back, I’m sure they could see my number, they didn’t pick up at all. Hope someone is enjoying my toothbrush or you got a good price for it!

The person who checked us in was terribly slow. It was after midnight when we arrived after a flight from Mexico City. We pulled in front of the after hours window and I got out to check in. The employee was in full sight of the window so I know he could see us. I rang the bell 3 times with no reaction. I had to pound on the thick plexiglass to get his attention. It took him a good 10 minutes to check us in. We had traveling companions check in right after us. We had room 213. They were in another building on the ground floor. I can believe there were two rooms in closer proximity . Our check in on 10/18 was smooth and seamless. The employee who checked us in needs more training or another job. By the time he checked us all in there were 3 more people waiting to check in. At 1am? Unacceptable.
