Motel 6 San Ysidro, CA - San Diego - Border

You get what you pay for. Not a horrible place to stay, great for a quick sleep. Hotel staff was helpful trying to get me and my family rooms right next to each other . Room was clean for the most part but did have a smoke smell to it . Shower was very tiny . A lot of noises going on outside from people and cars on the middle of the night . A lot of parking available.

The air conditioning Brady work the channels on the TV for all scrambled half the time getting work pull with filthy the night manager crew was rude and inappropriate

If they just cleaned the floors and walls, It would a much nicer experience! If you need a place to crash for one night, you’ll be okay probably.

The toilet kept running the whole time. I told the cleaning girls and they just told me to shut the door. The sink had no stopper, it was full of hair, inside the drain and the sink wasn’t cleaned. Like if someone had just shaved. The bed was full of crumbs and dirt. I had to use my own sheets. I will never stay there again and I expect my money back.

The AC was noisy. There was no iron pr hair dryer in the room. Everything was poor and bad.

The property is extremely rundown. It doesn’t look like anything‘s been remodeled since the place has been built. The flooring in the shower was disgusting. It’s a cheap hotel so I expected nothing great but this was far below my expectation. The people above us were up until 3 AM but that’s what kind of people are going to frequent this hotel. When we left in the morning, we could hear him on the phone arguing with his significant other about the possibility of going to jail, and he was yelling at her like he was upset with her. Not a good stay.

Staff was very nice Really dirty, inside the shower had not even been cleaned, hair still there from previous guest, floors not mopped. Outside areas had trash all over needing picked up as if homeless left litter around. Road nose very loud there.

Nothing. Rooms were old and very poorly kept. Bottom floor is smoking while 2nd floor was non smoking - the smell of cigarettes seeps through. You have multiple people camping in their vehicles in the parking lot plus vehicles that haven’t been moved in a while. The toilet was not flushing properly and there were roaches.

The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. I like all of them. I loved how bright and fresh my room was and the super easy check-in. Everyone that worked there are very pleasant. The only thing I did not like is the adjoining room door in my room. I could hear every sound from the other occupants so I know they heard mine. It was as if we were in the same room without seeing each other.

There were no disturbances, inconveniences, annoyances. There was free parking. There was minimal waiting. The temperature was whatever I wanted it to be. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business. The shower was just big enough. The freeway and heater / AC helped drowned out any problem noise. TV noise from the next room during waking hours only..

The lady that came on shift when I arrived, not a good attitude, when I told her about the internet several times, did not seem to care and really wasn't in a hurry to do something about it, and it did not work the whole time I was there, I needed to finish my work project and was not able to do so. 4. That lady should never be in a position to work a front desk needs to learn how to serve the people. with a good attitude. I was there from 3pm till 9:30 pm thank you

I loved the price and the easy check in. Quick and easy. The only thing I did not like is there were no decent stores close stores that didn't charge you almost $5 for a bottle of water. The grocery store was far and so was 7/11.

Run down, lifted flooring, old and torn towns and stains all over the walls and door frames. My favorite was when the sun came up and the blinds had holes in them like I was in a shot out. lol I won’t stay here again just pushed through this time because it was late and had to be up in a couple of hours. Plus side, it was quite so that helped me sleep a bit.

I wanted to reserve and Book within the City in San Diego within Airport, but not sure how it was changed. The Motel had bad Smelling at the ground level and Changed to the Upper for Extra Charges on me. Not Clean as well. No Shampoo and Soap in the Shower room.

The rooms were HORRIBLE - we stayed there just to catch an early flight and we would've been better off just sleeping in the airport. The staff that checked us in was friendly - she did her job. The problem are the rooms - they just smell and you can tell that they're *lightly* cleaned. I'm also pretty sure they have bed bugs.

Roach in room, super uncomfortable bed and pillows, tiny bathroom and shower, could hear everything through door and thin walls from other room, street noise almost unbearable, wasn’t in a super safe spot.

Dirty, bed sheets were not changed, smell of cigarette although it was a non smoking room, shower drain was loose. There were flies in the room as I got there.

Office workers were very nice and confirmed my reservations twice in advance. Had enough parking. Rooms were clean and Ac worked great. Not the best condition of rooms but not nasty at all. I would stay agian. Unsure of area safety but I had no issues.

Worse place ever I will never go back the mold is crazy over due to shut this place down I got so sick staying they I checked out early as my partner booked a room a more sanitary type of environment location SpringHills I have mold in my system probably from the water and the no working ac unit that was clogged somewhere cause it was blowing hot air just mold in. Addition to that I could t get out of bed I began. To get so sick and you can see the mold on the walls I demand a refund for the entire stay my wife. Had to assist me out to the car to take me away from that place I filing complaints for everything. Including false advertisement your company should visit these type of places before adding g then to the list of livable cohabitation place to go they should get no stars

Arrive to check in and no staff available. I waited for 30 minutes. The doors were closed and no one was at their desk to check me in.

Lugar sucio, no limpiaban , estuvimos de martes a domingo y fueron a limpiar hasta el sábado , les estuvimos pidiendo que limpiaran y nos dijeron primero que limpiaban cada dos días, en otra llamada dijeron que al tercer día y luego mintieron dije di que cada 4 días limpiaban, camas incómodas, modorro no servía , atención ruda en recepción, olía mucho a marihiana , no lo recomiendo para nada

My reservation was to be paid on-site and when I arrived they had already charged the 3 days in advance. The beds had mattresses in terrible condition. I didn't have WiFi for a single day.

Room next door and upstairs was full of running children. Lots of noisy people yelling outside in the middle of the night. Not sound proof at all. Housekeeping never cleaned room or resupplied towels & toilet paper.

Check in was pretty easy but the key kept having issues when entering the room. Too much noise at night , I stayed for 4 nights and the first 3 had guys yelling and laughing by the parking lot. Same people I saw for three nights straight. The 4th night had kids running around the second floor down to the parking lot. The floor was not mopped at least, I had Clorox wipes with me so I had to do a quick wipe up myself just so I didn’t feel the dirt on my feet.

The area is not the best, but I kind of expected it. However, customer was not the best, receptionist was not the friendliest, there were some questionable stains in the restroom, they seemed like blood stains, a little disturbing.

Checked in at night, Raquel had very poor customer service skills. Room was really gross, spiders webs across the ceilings, stains all around, floor was dirty, bathroom didn’t work properly so we had to call management to come fix it. It was not the best stay.

Let me start off by saying that most Motel 6’s nowadays aren’t bad at all. These are inexpensive rooms that work for a quick rest and carry basic amenities. However, from the moment we checked in I had a not so great feeling about this Motel 6. The woman at the front desk didn’t want to be bothered with business, it was incredibly rude. Then we enter our room and I immediately notice that the sheets seem to have oil or grease stains. I didn’t even think to ask for new sheets because of how rude the lady at the front desk was. My husband and I figured “we’re just here for one night” - so we went to a local CVS to purchase a blanket. The bathroom doesn’t have an actual tub it’s just a fully open bathroom with a shower and curtain, so the floor was dirty. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Close to border but not as advertised.., put me in a smoking room without a fridge was booked non with fridge.

Only suggestion is having coffe makers in the rooms. Maybe reading lights above the bed. Maybe a light without fan in the bathroom or a mirror with light outside of the bathroom.

We had an early flight in Tj the next day so decided to stay overnight near by. Booked this room based off the pictures. When we got there the room was no where near to what the pictures showed. The room was awful and dirty. We were scared to sleep in the bed. Everything was worn down or broken. Would never stay here again. The check in staff was nice and helpful but the condition of the property was awful.

On arrival, we found the sheets stained and there was pee around the rim of the toilet. There was a suspicious stain in the shower and the whole room smelled like cigarettes. The whole area around the motel seems shady with people hanging out in the parking lot. The area right outside the room smelled of urine. We didn’t stay the night. I didn’t feel safe with kids there. I hope my refund goes through.

Didn’t really like anything about this property. Staff was not welcoming or friendly. Noisy neighbors, some smoking marijuana and playing loud music. Dirty parking lot. Even saw a big bag of trash outside of a room. Loose toilet seat. And the worst part was the two cockroaches that showed up under the bed and on a piece of furniture. Terrible experience.

I had to wait more than 1 hour outside the office and there was no one inside to attend the guest check-in. Also check-in staff is not polite.

The front desk really rude, I told her the tv doesn’t work, there was no internet at all also also I asked for a room with the fridge and microwave since I have a baby. I need it for his meals and bottle and I paid for that service and at the moment the night service

Room was average. Floor was dirty in places. The bathroom shower was really old , yellow stained and dirty. I did not dare take a shower in it. There were other hotel guest smoking weed in the parking lot. The beds were ok. The only thing we really enjoy is that there was a Denny’s close by.

Beds were soft due but this is due to age and use. Area is super sketchy. And has horrible vibes. There were homeless people rummaging through the trash. Very noisy. People jumping in rooms above and children playing soccer in the parking lot. I literally had to wake up the employees to check in after ten p m. Thor has a signed.How about using the dead bolt safety.But when you look at it, you can notice half the screws have been removed or are loose. The room has a refrigerator that is decently sized.But when opened it smells of chemical clean products. Tge coin operated laundry consists of two washers i did not see the drawers because the room was being used by a family who had a ton of laundry, it would not let me in. The shower yes, vote looked clean, but on my second day it was.Weeping some sort of liquid. I would not stay here again, not even if they paid me.

The motel has an outdoor pet area, which is nice to have while traveling with a dog. The room was clean, bed was okay for comfort. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and smelled foul while running the water, but the toilet and shower worked just fine. No mini fridge for drinks.

Convinient location close to The America’s outlets at San Ysidro

The room was clean and decent for a one night stay on our way to the airport with any early departure. There was some nightlife that lasted all night long across from us at a neighboring property that was a little annoying, but all in all I would stay anoother time. Next time I will ask for a room not at the back of the property.

Great staff. Easy check-in. The room was generally clean. This was a real "no-frills" room... no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee pot, no ice bucket, no tub, small tv, and no bedside (or other) lamps (3 ceiling white fluorescents). Some spots on the sheets, but otherwise the bed was fine. This is about as basic as it gets.

On arrival we were greeted with a very unfriendly woman on the front desk who made us feel like we were a nuisance for checking in - we decided to go to Las Americas shopping outlet and on our uber ride home the uber driver warned us that we needed to be careful staying here as it was a dangerous hotel and the staff access the rooms and steal property. He gave us his phone number to call him if we felt in danger or if anything happened. The room was dirty and we only had sheets no blankets. It was VERY noisy with TVs playing very loud we couldn't sleep, people knocking on our door and walls at midnight. People stomping on the floor above us all night. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

The night & daytime ladies were super nice and friendly. HOWEVER, the shower should be replaced and had black mold in the crevices. The bed was one of the worst that we've ever had the misfortune of 'sleeping' in. NOT impress whatsoever.

They didn’t have it

One of the worst and unsafe properties I have ever stayed at. The parking lot is full of thieves and drug dealers and prostitutes, drug users and thieves waiting for people not to watch their belongings. The rooms are horrible with warped damaged presswood furniture, the fake wood floors are buckled from water damage like a springboard as you walk Across the room. The curtains are damaged and dirty with cigarette holes burned in them, I'm assuming to look out for police. The sheets are dirty and the bathroom is a nightmare of mildew and water damage. This property is not safe for humans and please remove it from available properties list and you should probably refund anybody who has ever stayed here. Absolutely terrible.

First and last time ill stay here... where to start?... well as soon as we arrived we saw some suspicious homeless around looking on us of course we got the sensation of an dangerous and unsafe area .. then we get our rooms as always i do inspection on bed and bathroom area and i notice was really dirty and a couple drops of blood in the shower area. Also noises all night from outside then on early next morning was someone with a unleash dog also we heard he try to attack someone.... for sure this is going to be the last time ill stay there
