    During my eight-day stay, I was locked out of my room three separate times, requiring repeated trips to the front desk to regain access. This was both frustrating and inconvenient, especially as it occurred multiple times without a permanent resolution. One of the primary reasons I booked this hotel was the buffet breakfast option, which offered the variety I was looking for during an extended stay. However, the buffet was closed for the entire week due to a private event, effectively excluding hotel guests from accessing an amenity that influenced my booking decision. As a result, I was limited to only a few menu options throughout my stay. Additionally, housekeeping services were significantly below expectations. My room was refreshed only once during the entire eight-day stay. I repeatedly had to call for basic necessities such as clean towels and toilet paper, which should have been routinely replenished without requiring multiple requests. Overall, the lack of consistent guest services, limited dining options, and repeated room access issues made for a disappointing experience. I believe these concerns should be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.

    The location is fantastic, very close to everything we wanted to visit, including restaurants, attractions, and shopping areas. It made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was great. We truly felt at home during our stay. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit to San Diego such a pleasant experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

    The hotel is nice the room was a good size and clean. Parking was also easy. The only downside was the location of our room it was facing the pool (which was a nice view) but from 9pm when we got back in our room until 4am there were people outside of the pool area under a gazebo partying being loud, laughing. We literally couldn’t drown the noise out. When I looked out the window it looked to be a bunch of teenagers with backpacks on. I’m not sure they were even staying at the hotel. Disappointed we couldn’t sleep when we had to leave at 4 am and they were still partying. I wish the staff would have bring paying better attention to the grounds and put a stop to it.

    There’s only one elevator that operates at a snails pace, I opted to use the stairs instead but if you stay on higher floors be prepared to wait. WiFi also operates at a snails pace, then charge you $5 more for “upgraded speeds”. Parking I feel should be included. The hotel sits in a private lot that has over 100 empty parking spots. Overall I think I will choose to stay somewhere else.

    On our first day there, the plumbing broke because one of the rooms had bathtub overflow. We couldn’t take showers and had to go to an event. Mgr offered 25K points. Not a very pleasant stay. The front desk staff needs to be trained on guest service. I called the day we were checking in to let them know we will check in late. I didn’t have my confirmation number. I was told there was no way for them to pull my reservation. I provide my last name but they refused to look it up by our name. The manager was super nice. I don’t think we will ever make another stop at this hotel. Location is great.

    Got in after 9:30 p.m. due to flight delays, but the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Person at the desk even helped us with directions for somewhere we could eat late supper. The room was wonderfully spacious and clean. Had ZERO issues while there.

    I booked this hotel months in advance. I was arriving early redeye time on Saturday morning and had booked for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). I called Friday to let them know I would be checking in early Saturday morning and just wanted the front desk to know I would be showing up. The front desk lady was distracted was just repeating herself and kept telling me if I do not check in on Friday my room would not be guaranteed. Which again I was confused since I have already paid in full months ago. She said she couldn't help me and transferred me to reservations who also could not help me and advised me to call expedia. Expedia was able to call the front desk and have them leave a note I would arrive Saturday morning. I arrive Saturday morning and they cancelled my reservation as a no show. I was beyond frustrated. The only positive thing was that the manager on duty was nice and was able to fix this and assured me I did what I was supposed to do if I want my room right away and not wait until check in time at 3pm. I doubt I will stay here again after this experience.

    The room was a decent size and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast options and love that they have a Starbucks. Check-in and check-out was very easy. My only critique is that they need better insulation between the rooms, especially the ceiling for those heavy footed folks who are staying above you. I also note that there are no restaurants or shopping in walking distance.

    The staff at check in was very accommodating with what she can do. The handicap room was given due early morning check in, but the bed had a huge dent which hurt my back. Room service took towels off the floor and hung back up leaving hair that was not mine on one of the towels. Will not be staying again. That fully tattooed bald male was rude and dismissive.

    Room is dated and you can hear everything around and above you. All the facilities other than the pool are pretty worn down and dated. Ice machine areas are falling apart due to water damage. Our first night, they also had to shut off the water for the building and water was not usable for the night.

    The hotel could use an upgrade. The elevators are old and slow. We had an issue, the refrigerator in our room didn’t work. We told the front desk about it twice. Each time Ty said they would send an engineer right away. The engineer never came. We stayed at this hotel before. I doubt if we will stay there again

    Room was clean, but there were issues. Reported a broken hanger on bathroom door: very nice guy came to look at it, said he'd replace it. Two days later, still not fixed. Bathroom not well ventilated - apparently a low flow, while floor system that under- performed. Coffee maker didn't work. Very expensive for an average quality room. And $5 for bottled water in room, $20 for mediocre buffet breakfast and $15 for a Scotch and soda.

    The room and the property was very nice! Parking was easy and the freeway is conveniently located close by. The staff was kind. I breakfast and coffee was simple but delicious. It appears they filled in the hot tub so i was disappointed about that. The wifi was fast and free. They offered upgraded wifi for video calls but i found that the free wifi was plenty fast for that. I got a balcony room and it was light, bright, and clean. Overall pretty perfect stay. My only complaint would be the elevators and elevator lobby are fairly run down and janky but the rest of the property is nice.

    WiFi never worked even after trying to get the Conceirge to help she said she didn’t know how to get it to work, the coffee shop had such narrow hours? No restaurant, no jacuzzi, asked them to turn on fireplaces in living room area they said they didnt know how to lol. Seemed like not a single staff member worked there more than a day but the rooms were nice.

    Room is clean but everything is dated. Old AC unit that they had to look at during out stay, toilet lid and seat stick to each other, wall panel/covering was flapping, and when we notified front desk multiple times, they finally had someone looked at it and "fixed" it with 3 blue painters tape to stop it from flapping around. Parking is $18 per night despite it being an open lot around the hotel anyways. Breakfast is additional charge, they have starbucks located in the lobby. The lobby is also dated, along with their elevators. This is a basic hotel, sad to be called a Marriot. Best Western would have been a more solid choice, plus they give complimentary breakfast.

    Only the bacon from thw buffet was good. Muffins were cardbaord and tasteless chorizo looked like hamburger meat in eggs and was gross. Im sure they didgo wrong with thw ceriap and oatmel for the kids. Was not worth $20 per person AT ALL statbucks was great

    Rooms nice, clean, comfortable. Had rooms on opposite sides of the hotel due to 2 separate reservations, which was fine. Some kind of bass-type noise (booming) could be heard in both rooms until 2-3am and I had a hard time sleeping. It was Halloween weekend. If you're a deep sleeper, you may be OK.

    The stay was ok, hotel clean, bed comfortable. I stayed 2 nights on separate reservations because my husband was in the hospital down the street, a Friday and Saturday night. I stayed at one end of the hotel the first night, the other end the 2nd night. In both rooms I heard the boom-boom sound that I thought was like the bass from music, maybe coming from a bar in the area bouncing off of the surrounding buildings. It was Halloween weekend. I had a hard time sleeping, even with a pillow on my head. I did get up to use the restroom at about 3am, and the sound was gone, both nights. I asked the desk clerk and she said there were no bars near them. I don't know where the noise was coming from, but it's odd I heard it at both ends of the hotel. If you're a heavy sleeper you'll probably be fine.

    The ac worked well I didn't have breakfast so I don't have a comment for that. Unfortunately the door in our bathroom was broken so we couldn't lock it room 273. Check in was quick and easy and the complimentary water was a nice touch. Overall I give the property a 4 out of 5 only because the bathroom door wasnt working properly.

    Elevators were so slow. And at 2130 kids still swimming in the pool with loud noises. They seem to be having lots of fun. I didn’t mind much since I didn’t have to work the next day. Overall the place was satisfactory.

    The hotel itself is somewhat nice. The food is expensive and mediocre. The Housekeeping staff stole stuff from my room while I was in a conference and management wouldn't handle it. They went as far as putting words in my mouth, protecting their staff. Andrew C. at the front desk is the only person trustworthy. Security is absolutely useless too.

    Property is in a preferred area. Away from typical San Diego tourist attractions. This is more of a business environment. Parking spots are a bit tight, though. Makes it difficult to enter or exit vehicles. Staff is very friendly, courteous, and professional. The breakfast buffet and bistro in the lobby are convenient. Starbucks coffee sold on-site.

    The hotel itself is okay. Nothing special certainly for the rates they charge. Parking is an additional $18 per night, parking spaces are too narrowly striped for an average sized car, and they run out of spaces after 11 pm. Lastly, one of the front desk clerks was incredibly rude. Nobody told us that the hotel only provides housekeeping every other day (not something you’d anticipate for over $200/night). When I went to the front desk to ask for trash pick up and fresh towels, the employee said someone would be up in 5 minutes. An hour later, I stopped by again only for him to tell me that I told him the wrong room number; he even wrote it down. Yes, not only did I forget the room number, but even the floor we were staying on. People like this should not be stationed at the reception desk. There are many better choices in the San Diego area. For a Marriott property, their service on this occasion was embarrassing.

    We needed a walk in shower for a guest limited to a wheelchair and the first room assigned to us did not meet this request. The beds were all TERRIBLE. When I asked the front desk why the mattresses were rock hard, she said it was because there was less support in these rooms since the mattresses needed to be lower for “handicaps”. We left two nights early and stayed elsewhere because of how uncomfortable we were! We were not offered a refund for the last two nights either. My mom, who is wheelchair bound is making a complaint to the ADA regarding her experience as well.

    This hotel is in a decent location and central to a lot of San Diego. It is a little over due for a cosmetic refresh, but not dirty or poorly maintained. The biggest gripe I have this that they charge you $18 a night for parking considering there is nothing near this hotel that can be accessed by foot and a car is really your only option to get around this charge is borderline extortion. It’s not like they don’t have a giant parking lot either. Definitely something that should be factored into room cost.

    This location was such a disappointment. The toilet seat looked like it was 30 years old. The bathtub had stains! And the carpet looked like it had not been cleaned. I had to put towels on the floor from my bed to the shower. Never again. I love the Marriott brand but avoid this location.

    Easy & fast check in/out. Received 2 bottle of water when arriving. The room was spacious but the sink for the bathroom was outside the bathroom. It was a bit hard finding parking when we arrived at 11pm. The bed felt old/lumpy. There is a microwave downstairs with paper plates/utensils which was convenient. The room had a little balcony facing the parking lot. Toiletries included bar soap and lotion. Body wash and shampoo/conditioner were in a big bottle.

    Nice hotel, very updated. Room was hot when we got inside and we couldn’t change the thermostat. Even after maintenance came to fix it, it never cooled down a ton and this was in winter. Front desk was nice and the price was right. Would consider staying again.
